Transcript

Giovanni Vallejo: What's up, Trust the Process League? This is the final preseason. Power rankings, five through one. So we'll see who we have as the best team. projected for this year and the predictions for it.

Giovanni Vallejo: Andrew will be joining us like in like two, three minutes, but we're just going to start off with our five spot here. and uh

Trevor: he's too busy cranking his own hog

Giovanni Vallejo: Exactly. Probably. Anyways, do you wanna just go on three, Trevor, for number five?

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: All right, three. Two. One. Chris.

Trevor: Myself.

Trevor: So I got myself a five and also for the record, Andrew too also had me a five.

Trevor: So, you know, that's two people at five.

Giovanni Vallejo: is this Is this...

Trevor: Amen.

Giovanni Vallejo: Pre -Josh Jacobs or post -Josh Jacobs? Or, like, you think you're still five?

Trevor: Cut.

Giovanni Vallejo: Even even even post...

Trevor: I'm pretty sure we talked about this. I think it was Sposhaw Jacobs. Also, he's beating the Chargers. He ain't beat a goddamn woman. He's coming back in a heartbeat. He'll be back by week one.

Giovanni Vallejo: The case got moved up, which is good for you, I think.

Trevor: Me too.

Giovanni Vallejo: But, I mean... Like, yeah, I mean...

Trevor: he's He's winning the charge.

Giovanni Vallejo: Give your quick little breakdown of why you think you're five.

Trevor: Now, I mean... I think obviously like... i have had puka the last like three years which is basically a free top three talent so

Giovanni Vallejo: Yep.

Trevor: I get two first rounders and Puka, you know, I had Chase Brown. and uh josh jacobs which was kind of very stupid as first two picks but i needed a running back bad And I figured I could eat a shittier wide receiver later, you know, so I have Top tier puka. Two pretty solid running backs.

Trevor: a top three quarterback. And like, even though I don't love Terry McLaurin, you know, he's still pretty solid and it's like, he'll get the job done. And then I just went super rookie heavy down the stretch and hope that, you know, either stripling.

Trevor: Tyson. Lane. Jonathan Brooks hits like. So I think. Maybe I drop down the rankings. early but you know come week seven eight i think my team's gonna be Studded out. so I mean, I don't hate it. Definitely not.

Trevor: my favorite but like we've gone with every other team is like you have a good couple of players and you're always. You got a couple holes and like... I think for the holes I have, I'm pretty set elsewhere. So that's, you know, I think I'm still pretty seat off the solid. but Could be worse.

Giovanni Vallejo: Okay, makes sense. Andrew's here now too. Andrew, are you ready?

Trevor: I peeped.

Giovanni Vallejo: i ready like You also agreed that Trevor was number five?

Andrew: Honestly, I had Trevor at number 5 too, yeah. i thought I thought it was pretty fair.

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: I honestly would have had him... higher but i thought the Josh Jacobs injury really sucks. I think it just might be injury.

Trevor: Bro, he's not even going to jail.

Andrew: Well, I don't know if he's going to jail or what but

Trevor: Him and Puka. I got the all delinquent squad out here

Andrew: Maybe he's fine. I don't really know. But I mean, if he's fine, then I think Trevor's probably like a top three team. So I think it just really... matters whether or not

Andrew: Josh Jacobs is that guy. But besides that, I really like Trevor's team.

Trevor: Yeah, we'll see.

Trevor: Ooh.

Trevor: that's what i'm saying you're being too harsh

Andrew: I mean, like, if he's...

Giovanni Vallejo: I don't think I am.

Andrew: I think he's coming back.

Trevor: Bro, from two to like... 10?

Andrew: At this point. So like, I don't see why I would drop Trevor anymore. if that makes sense

Giovanni Vallejo: But we don't know. We think he might come back. we like we still He's still on the exemption list. I'm just saying like for me, like i mean like I mentioned it in the last podcast.

Trevor: But even if he doesn't come back, I got all the bases covered.

Giovanni Vallejo: but like

Trevor: Marshawn Lloyd. I got Caleb Johnson. like I'm chilling.

Giovanni Vallejo: Uh, uh... Okay, all I'll say is like I also had Trevor relatively high, but... Post Josh Jacobs changed it for me. But like, I know we all have holes, but like your flex spot is. like this rookie that like, yes, their camp reports are great, but like you're literally starting week one Deshaun Stripling.

Trevor: Not for sure. For sure.

Andrew: And I'm also kind of confused.

Giovanni Vallejo: Like, even even then... a

Andrew: I'm not going to lie. I'm also confused now that you said that. Like the Jordan Tyson is kind of confusing too. Like youre you just have somebody who's not going to come for the next.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Andrew: I mean... I. probably not till November.

Trevor: i'll

Andrew: so like And.

Giovanni Vallejo: Jonathan Brooks, too, like, he hasn't played for two years with two, like, different torn ACLs, and you're kind of hoping he's, like, a dog, but, like, he hasn't shown shit for two years.

Trevor: You know.

Trevor: Listen.

Giovanni Vallejo: It's like, you do dart throws, but it's, like, it's kind of too many dart throws.

Trevor: Yeah for sure. and Well.

Giovanni Vallejo: But that's what that's my that's

Trevor: We'll see what hits, you know.

Trevor: We'll see come week three or four when we run this back.

Trevor: You're like, oh, damn, that was so smart of you to pick him. and you know Maybe the case isn't that and I'm in 12th place. like Who knows? so We'll see. But for now, I can't hate it.

Giovanni Vallejo: So for me, just quickly. I went Chris at five. I kind of liked the overall makeup of his squad. I don't know. I don't remember where you guys had him. I don't know if you guys want to like...

Trevor: Fucking seventh and...

Andrew: Not very hard. I don't think I'm, I think I'm a nine.

Trevor: 11. Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Oh, so we we kind of differed here.

Trevor: You damn it. Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: But I mean, my thought process was like, I kind of thought like. I kind of liked his flex spots and even like even just like his little his depth spot, like a common guy. I think people were like, we've talked about ad nauseum.

Giovanni Vallejo: I feel like the Chicago bears, I think they're going to have a great offense year this year.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: I think even the backup might cook like Deandre Swift sometimes misses some games here and then. But I like, I like Gentee. I know the concerns about the offensive line and the offense, but like their new offensive coordinator, was it it's Kubiak or Quinn Kubiak or the coach, whatever it is.

Trevor: It'll be fine.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: He usually does great.

Trevor: Yep.

Giovanni Vallejo: Cam Scadabo, we've been talking about it. I'm a little worried about him because like is he actually going to get as much playing time as we think with Najee Harris there now and like that kind of... presence, but I like his wide receivers with Drake London, Devontae Adams.

Giovanni Vallejo: I'm high on a Dunzey. I feel like I like his whole entire starting lineup a lot, but like yeah, his depth at Najee Harris and Tank Dell. like theres There could be some work, but I thought it was a still a slight lead at 5 -6.

Giovanni Vallejo: range like squad, in my opinion. back could i

Trevor: That's crazy because, like... all three or all two previous podcasts you were saying in depth like yo i got chris i got chris up there and you put him at five i thought the way you were slobbing on this man's knob you're gonna have him top three holy le

Giovanni Vallejo: No, no.

Andrew: burn

Giovanni Vallejo: No, those...

Trevor: This is all we did is...

Giovanni Vallejo: I...

Trevor: Oh, he's fine. He's alright.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, i thought i thought it was like I thought the starting lineup was pretty like damn solid, which I liked. So I was like, not everybody has a like a good starting lineup.

Trevor: It is.

Giovanni Vallejo: Like likeck what we talked about where it's like the flex spot's not that great or the RB2's not that great. I feel like I liked the whole entire starting lineup there, to be honest.

Trevor: Yeah that's fair.

Giovanni Vallejo: Let's go number four. All right, three. Two. One. Trevor.

Andrew: Geo.

Trevor: Kevin.

Giovanni Vallejo: So we were all different there? Does anybody want to start off real quick?

Trevor: Hey, you said you got me?

Giovanni Vallejo: further Yeah, i'm just running I'm just running off like the pre and I was still like, yeah, yeah.

Andrew: No.

Trevor: Oh. pretty okay yeah Okay, I got you. I'll take it.

Andrew: Yeah, I had a...

Trevor: Alright.

Andrew: I had Gio, which honestly, looking back, I think is kind of crazy. But I really do think if Gio has an RB2, this team is... Really really good

Trevor: oh Fuck.

Andrew: i I think it is kind of crazy to have Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz just because you kind of need...

Trevor: I choked.

Andrew: some type of I feel like Dalton Schultz is kind of tough because he's you're you're just banking on him getting touchdowns, so we'll see. I feel like I would rather a different tight end there.

Giovanni Vallejo: Mm hmm.

Andrew: But his wide receivers are just really good, and I feel like if R .J. Harvey or Chuba Hubbard hit as like at least like a top 20 running back, I feel like Geo's going to be in a pretty good spot for the rest of the season.

Andrew: Maybe he should be a little lower on the list, but I really feel like... I mean, he also has Travion Henderson, who's out for the first couple... I don't i don't know how long he's going to be out.

Trevor: He's also ass.

Andrew: But...

Giovanni Vallejo: he's He's not that bad.

Andrew: But I mean, if he does break out by week five and like Gio's like two and two, that would be like.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Andrew: really helpful I mean like I think Geo just kind of needs to get into the season and see people like Malik Neighbors and like

Trevor: i Ideal, yeah.

Andrew: Kenyon Sadiq and Travion Henderson and see where they are. I mean, he also has Terrence Ferguson, which is another good dark throw tight end. so like

Giovanni Vallejo: and

Andrew: i i think this team could be really good but i think it's just gonna take a little bit But I was honestly surprised because I honestly hated Geo's draft coming out of it.

Trevor: Nobody gives a shit about tight end.

Andrew: But after overlooking it again compared to the other teams, I thought it was pretty good.

Giovanni Vallejo: That's not ridiculous.

Trevor: That's fair.

Giovanni Vallejo: That's not ridiculous.

Trevor: That's not ridiculous. That is ridiculous

Giovanni Vallejo: Who was yours, Trevor?

Trevor: uh i said kevin i meant andrew you know i just get them so confused they look alike and

Giovanni Vallejo: Okay.

Trevor: you know, so.

Andrew: the

Trevor: No, I think Andrew's got a really good squad. like And this was, again... you know a week or two ago when i first went through it and so obviously things are coming about uh players and shit so like the boy shell toot and stuff is kind of curious you know you never know what's going on there you've been hearing a lot about C -Rod recently and so like Who knows? But I still think Tootin, ETN. h and whatever the fuck you want to call him.

Trevor: Breece Hall is a really solid starting three. and like You do have C -Rod on your back up there, so like... you know, it doesn't matter too much. But again, it's that Rico Dowdle, Jalen Warren type thing is like.

Trevor: you got both of them if they truly are splitting like Kind of fucking blows. But, you know, the wide receivers are fine. Jermar Chase, obviously top tier. I'm a big believer in the the Christian Watson. I think he'll be fine. and then Even Josh Jones, there have been so many reports about Keenan Allen obviously getting arrested. and then the other dude.

Trevor: Alec Pierce, whatever. busted so i think you're chilling like i think it's solid all across the board. I know i Bishop moaned at you about the Colson Loveland. I think that was taken a little early, but... You know what?

Trevor: If you get a top five guy out of him, I guess it's worth it.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, I mean, if he ends up being a top -three tight end, and's like you can't argue with the pick at all. And like, I feel like sometimes like you're in those middle rounds, it's like, it's worth a shot.

Trevor: Yeah. 100%.

Giovanni Vallejo: I feel like it's like, it comes down to like. I guess you and me, Trevor, were a little lower on the pick and where it happened, but like...

Trevor: Mm -hmm.

Giovanni Vallejo: I can 100 % see why he would take that pick there.

Trevor: Yeah, if he finishes top three, you know, definitely worth.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yep. like the last eight weeks of like last season he was like tied in like three to two like so it's like the the potentials there and like the coach loves him

Trevor: right but Again, on that same vein, that was when fucking Bert or Odunze and DJ Moore were hurt or whatever the case was Burton was still getting his foot in so it's like you know all things kind of considered Is that really what he's going to be like?

Giovanni Vallejo: Mhm.

Trevor: So I just, obviously the only way to figure out is the season will go on and we'll see, but. you know definitely something Food for thought.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah. I definitely, I definitely think like the, like. I had like... Andrew at seven, but I could definitely see like five to six or to four where you have him. but like it like We talked about it.

Giovanni Vallejo: least its like the whole entire like There's so many squads to compare, but like i love the up I love the upside on this team. like I think Etienne can have an amazing year.

Trevor: 100%.

Giovanni Vallejo: like i really We've been talking about the Bears a lot, but I think that Saints offense is going to cook. I think Kellen Moore...

Trevor: I agree.

Giovanni Vallejo: like this like with uh i don't know to pronounce his name like shuck is it shuck or show like

Trevor: kind of a shock yeah

Andrew: hella shook

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, so like that second half of the year, they started to cook.

Trevor: Yeah, I think they're gonna be solid

Giovanni Vallejo: Etienne is there too. Kellen Moore knows how to do running back, as we saw when he was with the Eagles and Saquon Barkley. Not that he's a Saquon Barkley -type running back, but like he's he's had productive years before.

Giovanni Vallejo: but like, yeah, I am a little worried about the, the, the two in, I know he's going like round four or five ADP, but like, I just don't know. Like I, to me it feels like he's a, he's a jag, just another guy, but that's like, we'll see what happens there.

Trevor: Yep.

Giovanni Vallejo: But. Definitely can't. I can definitely see why you haven't met four.

Trevor: Yeah. Sound Squad.

Giovanni Vallejo: We...

Trevor: And again, it's it's hard to pick and choose at this point. you know they're all And we're projecting, too, because it's like...

Giovanni Vallejo: exactly but yeah this is

Trevor: Who knows, come week one. but Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: but It's good to have this at the end of the year to look back on and be like, What the fuck were we thinking on certain teams?

Trevor: yeah

Giovanni Vallejo: And like, oh, we actually fucking called this one 100 % correct. that's like that's what That's what's going to be fun at the end of the year.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: But I had a... I had Trevor at four and we've talked about it a decent a bit. But... Yeah, this is...

Trevor: you can You can glaze some more if you want.

Giovanni Vallejo: This is...

Trevor: you know I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Giovanni Vallejo: this is This is when... He had Josh Jacobs starting, but like... This is another team where like I just love the starting lineup here. like Chase Brown, Josh Jacobs is going to eat. He's had Puka Nakua as a keeper for the last... two years and this is the last year we want to keep him, but he's getting like a first round talent and like the eighth round every year, a seventh round around that ballpark.

Giovanni Vallejo: And like the like... If Jonathan Brooks, maybe like could he like pop off like like like we were talking about with my team, with Javion Henderson, maybe like Jonathan Brooks like stays healthy the first five weeks, but they're not using him that much.

Giovanni Vallejo: but they they start ascending, then like that could definitely be a thing. And I like i like the dart throw of Malik Willis, but it feels a little redundant with Lamar Jackson.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Let's go to three.

Giovanni Vallejo: Three. Two. One.

Trevor: Kevin.

Giovanni Vallejo: Rich.

Andrew: Andrew.

Trevor: All right, so three different answers there.

Andrew: What, Trevor, would you add?

Trevor: I say Kevin. You guys not hear me?

Andrew: All right, do you wanna we already talked about my team a good bit.

Giovanni Vallejo: What'd you say?

Trevor: Kevin?

Andrew: How about we go to Kevin or Ridge?

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Uh...

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah. You want to start us off, Trevor?

Trevor: Yeah. So, kevin I mean, I like Kevin's team, obviously. like as we all say, there's holes and whatnot. But like, I think. solid across the board derrick henry dog everyone's like oh when's he gonna come back but like

Giovanni Vallejo: Mm hmm.

Trevor: Who cares? like He's never slowing down. AJ Brown, dog. George Bacon, he'll be fine. I mean, i obviously not CeeDee Lamb, but he's still really solid. David Montgomery, I don't know. We'll see how that goes. But I think he is slated for the...

Trevor: the number one role there so i think he'll be fine I don't particularly care for Dallas Goddard. I think he'll be fine. He's just one of those mid -tier guys. But same with Travis Kelsey. like You can put them both in that. middle whatever fill the spot and they'll be fine

Trevor: Aside from that, though, I mean i think... On his bench, Chris Godwin Jr. is a steal and a half. I like the Michael Pittman. But again, you know, I don't know how the Steelers work. They kind of suck. But... You know, whatever. We'll see. New guy, new year. We'll see how he plays out, but I don't think he has, you know, that big of a role that, you know, he's in your starting lineup every week. Might be some guy to trade for it later on, but you know, whatever. But I think across the board, it's just like a really.

Trevor: Solid team. like Most people are missing that RB2. And Kevin has a pretty solid feel for that. So it's like. Solid RB one and two, really solid wide receiver one. A guy who could potentially finish as the potential overall number one wide receiver. so I think. You know, it's just really solid across the board. and better than most of the other teams.

Giovanni Vallejo: I could completely see that. Andrew, I forget, where did you have a... Kevin, or is that spoiler?

Andrew: Adam like 10th.

Giovanni Vallejo: You're intent?

Andrew: I honestly...

Giovanni Vallejo: Okay.

Andrew: i could see how this team could be really good and again i think it's one of those things where maybe i definitely put him too low and he's probably around the seven seven range But. i honestly just i it After last year, not having an RB2 is generally one of the hardest things in this league.

Andrew: And it's really hard when... your RB2 just might not be that great. I love David Montgomery. Maybe he will be really good. Maybe Jonah Coleman breaks out, but I don't think that's until way later in the season. And I feel like I would have liked this team a lot more if instead of like Rashid Shaheed, it was like another dart throw at running back. Or instead of Michael Pittman, it was like another dart throw at running back.

Andrew: Because I just feel like it's really lacking that because across the board, the team looks really good on paper, I feel. It's just, it's really tough for me to get on board when the running back depth is not there and maybe he just blows his load.

Andrew: on fab and find somebody off the waiver wire but i feel like there's only like one or two players every year and a lot of the times people get it wrong which one you're supposed to blow your fab on so

Giovanni Vallejo: Mm hmm.

Andrew: I think it really comes down to like how the season goes. And I feel like Matthew Stafford is another person where he could just. thrown an RV instead. And I feel like there's just a lot of missed opportunity there for just like having any type of just like running back three that might be worth your wild.

Trevor: On paper he's just my type.

Giovanni Vallejo: I completely agree. Just like you guys said, though, because we talked about it a decent amount. like yeah I think my only issue with his team was just the the RB depth. I had in my notes, RB depth is horrendous. Only Joey Coleman after Montgomery.

Giovanni Vallejo: I do like the Montgomery that's RB, too. I think he's going to have a good year with the Texans. like he's like The worry is not on a dynamic offense anymore, but like he seems like to be like a touchdown machine.

Trevor: Bro, Woody March sucks.

Giovanni Vallejo: He's a pass catching back too, so it's like goal line carries, Dave Montgomery.

Trevor: Yeah, but CJ Stroud sucks.

Giovanni Vallejo: like Yeah, well...

Trevor: I'm a Texan hater.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Trevor: I don't know. My bad on that one. I gotta pump the brakes there.

Giovanni Vallejo: i mean Maybe that'd be better, but... I completely agree with you guys about the RB death being horrendous. So I think the only person left me was... I had Rich at three. And... I mean, yeah, I thought this was a pretty great squad.

Giovanni Vallejo: He, I want to say he was like pick 12 and like he went RBRB. I love the Kenneth Walker.

Trevor: Mhm.

Giovanni Vallejo: Kenneth Walker, Amari and Hampton back to back. I think that's absolutely great. And, like... There's obviously, look like... He has wide receivers that are kind of wide receiver twos, but you're kind of hoping to hit that wide receiver one upside.

Giovanni Vallejo: like T. Higgins can have wide receiver one weeks. Jamison Williams is very boom and bust, but I think at this point, you're kind of hoping he becomes more... a more consistent wide receiver. But my other thing is, I love his RB depth.

Giovanni Vallejo: Like, he has Kenneth Walker, Marion Hampton, even, like...

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Even these like kind of like depth pieces that get Kenny Gainwell and Tony Pollard, like, are they great running backs? No, but like they can give you like. an RB, like... 25 week and like you need that sometimes at that flex spot or like if you're in a buy like you need those kind of running backs to have on your team even like

Giovanni Vallejo: i just like i i like I like the Mike Evans pick. He's injury prone, but like... That's even a good dart throw, I think. like i people I think people are pretty low on him because of injuries and stuff like that. But like on the 49ers offense... i just i really I think it's a really solid team. like I like his dart throws in Trey Tucker, Romeo Dobbs, or whatever. It's just... Really solid squad.

Trevor: heard

Giovanni Vallejo: I don't see weaknesses is the biggest thing I feel like.

Andrew: I completely agree.

Trevor: That's crazy. Cause like, I mean the two of you guys agreed for you, he was what? two and three. uh but for me i had him down at 13 so i'm like maybe i'm the retard around here but I don't know.

Giovanni Vallejo: how does That's ridiculous.

Trevor: i just

Giovanni Vallejo: That's actually ridiculous.

Trevor: I remember. I just hate the wide receivers.

Andrew: I agree.

Trevor: I hate the wide receiver to outlook. And obviously he's heard me bitch about that in the first episode, but like. I just could not get behind that. like Who gives two shits about? fucking what is it t higgins and jamison williams like on the weeks where they get nothing you're gonna rely on your two running backs to put up all the points so I don't know.

Andrew: I just don't see that many weeks where like T Higgins is like, and jane both of them are putting up ducks.

Trevor: We'll see. I mean, it might turn around, but.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Andrew: like

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: it it seems hard to me because i honestly i had this team of two like i thought this team was Insane.

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: like i thought it was such a great team with just like the rb depth i thought was really really good the wide receiver depth i feel like is

Giovanni Vallejo: mm -hmm

Andrew: Pretty good. And like not only that, I don't even think you need Patrick Mahomes on this team. like I wish he just...

Trevor: No.

Andrew: I wish he just drafted Jared Goff.

Trevor: it's helpful

Andrew: Like, Jared Goff has been QB 9, 7. 10 like he's always a top 10 qb and i really don't even see the need for patrick mahomes i think patrick mahomes is going to be overrated this year the ac the year after the injury is always bad it's always the year after the year after where i feel like they actually fully recover.

Andrew: So I truly feel like this team is going to be super dangerous.

Trevor: Take notes. Drop Patrick Mahomes next year.

Andrew: And I'm pretty excited to see because like I really truly feel I'm surprised like how good this team is looking back at it again.

Trevor: I'm going to be eating my words here soon.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yep.

Giovanni Vallejo: All right, so i think I think we're ready for number two, right?

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: I mean, had Andrew just told us, I think, who his number two was, right?

Trevor: yeah

Andrew: Yeah, so how about that?

Trevor: it rich Yeah.

Andrew: Yeah, that's my fault. yeah How about the two of you?

Giovanni Vallejo: No, you're good. you're good Three. Two. One. Harrison. What did you say, Trevor? You didn't you kind of like...

Trevor: eric I got Eric. My bad.

Giovanni Vallejo: is it You got Eric?

Trevor: Sorry. Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Okay.

Trevor: eric's Eric's my goat.

Giovanni Vallejo: you you

Andrew: That is fucking nuts to me, bro.

Trevor: What do you mean? All right.

Andrew: I had to not see it.

Trevor: Where did you guys have Eric? Nevermind, whatever. Uh, well. Have we? I don't know.

Giovanni Vallejo: the andrew Andrew's going to hate my number one.

Trevor: i think

Trevor: put but

Andrew: No way you have Eric number one, bro.

Trevor: That's what I'm saying.

Giovanni Vallejo: who

Trevor: I know the answer to that.

Andrew: His wide receiver one is Carnell Tate.

Giovanni Vallejo: he said

Trevor: yeah you Who gives a listen to this though? I saw me a stat. I saw me a stat on the internet. And you know how stats on the internet are. You gotta believe them all.

Trevor: Uh... If you had... Last year, if you had... The combination of the number one quarterback and the number one. running back you had like a 40 chance alone to make the the Fantasy Championship.

Trevor: And boy, does he have the number one quarterback and the number one running back. like he has the two best players at the two most impactful positions. And like Jeremiah Love is on that same vein as we were just talking about Rich having the two solid running backs. like you have Jeremiah Love, like, yeah, he plays for the Cardinals. But he's going to eat. Like, the Cardinals fucking blow. Who gives a shit about injuries? He's going to be fine. And, like, yeah, it's Cardinal Tate. But, like.

Trevor: Andrew, you should know this.

Andrew: Jeremiah Love is the RB2 right now. He's not even the RB1 on his own team.

Trevor: No, he's not he You draft him third overall, he's going to play. like There's no shot.

Giovanni Vallejo: that's Yeah, I agree with that. That's that's just like the hierarchy they do because, oh, he's a rookie. They're going to put like fucking...

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: But that's that's but like if we're if we then apply that same logic to any RB depth chart.

Giovanni Vallejo: okay

Andrew: like that like I just don't.

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: i don't know bro but sorry i'll let you finish but i'm just confused

Trevor: No, but I'm saying like you should know better than anyone with Carnell Tate and Brian Dable.

Giovanni Vallejo: Andrew is hating the air club.

Trevor: Like for the Giants with Dable, neighbors was eating out there. And same with like every wide receiver that he's ever worked with. And like, I know Carnell Tate is technically too behind Wandale, but like. he's going to be fine. And like, sure. coinless thought I kind of fucking hate that.

Trevor: But still, he's got Jordan Addison, Brock Bowers, or not Brock Bowers, Brian Thomas. like they're solidified guys that like. We'll do fine. And to say on top of that, too, he is like potentially probably, in my opinion, the number one wire there tight end. So it's like you have the two best. Running back quarterback.

Trevor: Tight end.

Giovanni Vallejo: I had an idea.

Trevor: Those three alone. And the best defense? like He has the number ones across the board, pretty much.

Giovanni Vallejo: All right. Let's not use de defenses to like pipe up the team, though.

Trevor: You're right. You're right. but

Giovanni Vallejo: That's what that's ridiculous.

Andrew: And he also definitely does not have the number one defense.

Giovanni Vallejo: like

Trevor: That is a bit ridiculous, but

Andrew: The Rams have a hard schedule this year.

Trevor: Yeah, you're right.

Andrew: Like, they they are not the number one defense.

Trevor: Who's the number one?

Andrew: that was Either the Broncos or the Texans.

Trevor: Whatever.

Andrew: like I don't even know what we're talking about.

Giovanni Vallejo: Or the Eagles.

Andrew: here. Or even the Eagles.

Trevor: Yeah, okay.

Giovanni Vallejo: Eagle, yeah.

Andrew: I would put them top five this year.

Giovanni Vallejo: Vic Fangio, defense again?

Trevor: Okay.

Andrew: And and they have they have a seventh easiest schedule in the league.

Trevor: right

Andrew: like It's all about scheduling, in in my opinion, for defense.

Trevor: guys Broke Brian Thomas was a top -ten guy.

Andrew: Or you're just unreal like the Texans.

Trevor: like Two years ago, wasn't he? last two years. So it's like he's got a solid squad. like i don't know maybe i'm glazed and we'll see how it goes but

Giovanni Vallejo: All right. We'll see how it goes.

Trevor: yeah Andrew, get on with it.

Giovanni Vallejo: Andrew, what was your two?

Andrew: Rich. I thought Rich was number two.

Giovanni Vallejo: Oh, okay. I mean, we kind of talked about it.

Trevor: and We just talked about that.

Giovanni Vallejo: i I think Garrett Wilson's going to have a good year.

Trevor: mm -hmm

Giovanni Vallejo: Like, Geno Smith's not a great quarterback anymore, but he kind of still slings it. So I think he's, like, if you look at... Garrett Wilson's stats with like shitty quarterbacks in the past, like he still just puts numbers up. So I'm not really too worried about him.

Giovanni Vallejo: He has the wide receiver one of like the Ravens, Zay Flowers. I think he had like 1200 yards last year. I'd assume he'd be in that same ballpark. I will say looking at this team right now, I don't. Love.

Giovanni Vallejo: His like flex spot. as much as I thought I did when I originally did this. And like, I don't...

Trevor: I'm like, Parker Washington? What the hell?

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, and like the depth. The death is kind of throwing me for a loop too. Like he has Chimera.

Trevor: as Penn Stater.

Giovanni Vallejo: Boston, the Dontavian, Wicks, Breland, Allen.

Andrew: you

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, it's kind of hard sometimes like when we're doing these projections. i'm a little i'm looking at I'm looking at this right now. I think I might have been a little... He should be a little lower now, but like I haven't projected that to and that's my final rankings as of right now, but I love his starting running back driver receivers. I think the flex bot's a little weak, but yeah, that's where I was at.

Trevor: That's fair.

Andrew: Yeah, it's a fair take. I mean, I thought it was a pretty good team I really like this team. i I don't agree with the flex block being weak. I think Parker Washington is in for a great year. I think it's more the bench depth where I'm having a tough time.

Giovanni Vallejo: Mhm.

Andrew: But I really, really like this team. Like the the running back room is tough. I think Berlin Allen and Alvin Kamara, I don't know when either one of them sniffed the field, if I'm being completely honest.

Giovanni Vallejo: it

Andrew: If you need somebody to...

Trevor: Terrifying.

Andrew: if something happens to Devon A. Chan. or bijan but i i mean the starting lineup i thought was by far the best like well -rounded lineup

Trevor: Mhm.

Andrew: out of everyone's like i thought it was really good it's just the bench piece is really tough but looking at it again i'm not gonna lie i actually don't like jayden daniels this year at really at all.

Giovanni Vallejo: mm -hmm

Andrew: like I'm really scared about that offensive line.

Trevor: Jesus Christ.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yep. Yeah.

Andrew: And I really just don't know if that...

Trevor: Who gives a shit?

Andrew: if he's going to be good again. I mean, like...

Giovanni Vallejo: Or if he gets injured again, to be honest. like

Andrew: I mean, he could just be the next RG3, like one amazing season and that's it.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Andrew: And like, I don't know. And like, I guess that's like the the chance you take, but I feel like I would rather take that chance at like pick 80 or 90 rather than like 50, 60. so it feels kind of tough for this team, but I still do really like the team.

Andrew: like I think it's a decent team, and I think it's really good.

Giovanni Vallejo: i have I know we'll get to the last one soon. I know we're trying to get this under 30 minutes, but... I'm a little concerned about the Parker Washington at flex. I'm just, I'm kind of worried about like, do we feel like the Jaguars offense is going to be that dynamic this year?

Giovanni Vallejo: Like they have, like they have Brian Thomas jr. They have a, who's the guy they got from the Raiders and he ended up being pretty good for them the second half of the year last year.

Trevor: Jacoby Myers, brother.

Andrew: Jacoby Myers.

Giovanni Vallejo: Jacoby Myers. There's some wide receiver competition. Do we really think Parker Washington's going to be that guy? I don't know. He had a little hot stretch last year, and he had a good year, obviously.

Giovanni Vallejo: Can he repeat that? I don't know. That's all I'll say about his flex spot there.

Andrew: I think that's totally fair, but I also see Trevor Lawrence hyping up him the most out of every single receiver. And really, they just just the whole team has been crazy about him. so

Giovanni Vallejo: Mm hmm.

Andrew: I really do. Trevor, what the fuck?

Trevor: I got a garage door closing. My bad. Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: We'll see if like you can edit it out, guys. My bad.

Trevor: Can't do anything on it

Giovanni Vallejo: Trevor's the fucking worst. like There's been like fucking machinery, decks being built in the background, but like whatever.

Trevor: Yeah.

Trevor: God forbid.

Giovanni Vallejo: We love Trevor, I guess.

Trevor: Whatever.

Andrew: yeah but honestly i don't know maybe maybe he will be trash i don't fucking know anymore dude

Trevor: Eh.

Andrew: i don't know after doing these fucking rankings i'm like

Trevor: Yeah. I don't know

Giovanni Vallejo: It's hard. It's hard.

Andrew: i I kind of feel like I don't know anything about fantasy. At the end of the day, I'm going to look back at this and we're all going to be wrong and there's not going to be much we're going to be right about.

Trevor: be like damn that's crazy

Giovanni Vallejo: i don't know I don't know about that.

Andrew: it's like

Giovanni Vallejo: I think... well At the end of the day, it's like this is all like... People will do, like, free agency stuff. That'll all happen. But, like, I think it's it's going to be really fun and interesting to see, like, who is the most accurate at the end of the year.

Giovanni Vallejo: I think it's going to be me.

Andrew: I didn't say it was gonna not be fun.

Giovanni Vallejo: I think it's going to be me, respectfully. But, like...

Andrew: Okay.

Trevor: Where do you have me, Jill?

Giovanni Vallejo: All right.

Trevor: You have me in fifth? I don't think you're going to be the most accurate.

Andrew: e

Trevor: Never mind.

Giovanni Vallejo: I... I...

Trevor: You're wrong.

Giovanni Vallejo: I had you four pre -Josh Jacobs. All right, let's go to number one.

Trevor: Oh you're right.

Giovanni Vallejo: Let's go to number one.

Trevor: try sorry First, first, first.

Andrew: 8.

Giovanni Vallejo: Three. Two. One. Eric Kulvec.

Trevor: Harrison.

Andrew: Harrison.

Trevor: Harrison, okay, yeah, great.

Giovanni Vallejo: So we kind of...

Andrew: What the fuck, bro?

Trevor: So the two of us are on Harrison. You're on Eric.

Andrew: I genuinely do not. How? Like, how? How?

Trevor: Did you bring you not just shitting on this team?

Andrew: I agree.

Giovanni Vallejo: who

Andrew: Dude, I agree he has the QB1 and the RB1 and the tight end one.

Trevor: Andrew.

Andrew: He has all of that.

Trevor: Oh, on Eric. Yeah.

Andrew: I - I hate - every fucking thing else about this team what what am i supposed to like

Trevor: Yeah, but like if he doesn't have to use his bench, like he's fine. Which you don't have to use your bench like 80 % of the time.

Giovanni Vallejo: I think...

Andrew: But this bench is doo -doo caca, bro.

Giovanni Vallejo: i I think the biggest thing is like.

Trevor: Yeah, but his starting line -in is big, big pee -pee.

Giovanni Vallejo: the the The biggest thing is like... Yes, the wide receivers are not like okay It's like what Trevor was saying. like He is quarterback one potentially. Army won potentially, and tight end won potentially. like Not every team has that.

Andrew: Yeah I agree with that.

Giovanni Vallejo: But like...

Andrew: I agree with all that.

Giovanni Vallejo: Like, the wide receivers, are they... The. Most ideal? Probably not. But Coral and Son can be like...

Andrew: dude either one of those receivers would it would be it would be great if one of them would be wide receiver 15 or better and i can see both of them not being either one of like when you're wide receiver one

Giovanni Vallejo: Serviceable.

Andrew: Doesn't even look like they're going to be wide receiver 15. or better i i don't really know what i'm supposed to think about the team

Trevor: Okay, hold up. We were just saying that...

Giovanni Vallejo: oh whatever all All I'll say is... Would you want to go first, Trevor? I'll let you cook real quick.

Trevor: Yeah, I was saying we were we were bitching and moaning about all the Jordan Love. was her. Jeremiah Love was drafted third overall. Like, he's not going to play. And then we're like, oh, obviously he's going to play. He's third overall. Cardinal Tate was drafted, what, eighth overall? Like, he's going to play. That boy's going to eat. like

Giovanni Vallejo: I was going to say the same thing.

Trevor: It's ridiculous to say.

Trevor: He's not going to do anything.

Giovanni Vallejo: I was going to say, like, yeah, I'm confused by like. If you look at like other like top 10 receivers drafted in the NFL and like their usual projections coming into the NFL, like for like fantasy wise, they're usually like the top.

Trevor: Cardinal Tate was so low.

Giovanni Vallejo: top four or five rounds and this guy's going in like the seventh eighth round and I'm a little confused by that Was Cam Ward great last year?

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: No, but like I like Dable as is the offensive coordinator and head coach.

Trevor: OC.

Andrew: Offense coordinator

Giovanni Vallejo: Offensive coordinator, like I think Ken Moore could have a better year. And like, Carnell Tate could have a better...

Trevor: It will.

Giovanni Vallejo: Completely. Like, beat his ADP.

Giovanni Vallejo: And it's fantasy outlook.

Andrew: Okay, but Jeremiah looked - Jeremiah Love is good is going to have the hardest schedule in the NFL and one of the hardest schedules of all time.

Trevor: No doubt.

Andrew: If you look at their schedule, it is...

Trevor: They said that about Adrian Peterson.

Andrew: It is. It is genuinely one of the most brutal schedules I think I have ever seen. They they start off... They start off not – it's not the worst when they start off, right? jeremi i love the The first week is at Saints, then – panthers and it's like okay you know that's not the worst and then it's san francisco it's the seahawks and Then they play Tennessee, which is fine.

Andrew: Indy Green Bay by Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco.

Trevor: Who gives a shit?

Andrew: Like, I just.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah, yeah I think...

Trevor: He's gonna but like if you're the Third overall, they're going to give him the ball every single play or at least 20.

Giovanni Vallejo: Oh, also...

Giovanni Vallejo: Also, I'll say like...

Trevor: 10, 15 times a game. Like he's going to be fine.

Giovanni Vallejo: like He got him in the second round at the 28th pick, and at that point, I don't think that's like bad value. It's not like he got he he went top 20.

Trevor: That's free.

Giovanni Vallejo: If he would have dropped to me the third round, i was like I was going to smash that. and For him to get them at at the 28th pick, I thought that was good value there.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: like You cannot argue with that. and like I don't think... We've seen RBs have good years with shit offenses, like Saquon Barkley had an amazing year when he was a rookie, and that was a shit -ass offense. like There's been running backs.

Trevor: Bro, A -Chan even last year, like, he was balling last year and he was on the Dolphins.

Giovanni Vallejo: there's There's always both.

Trevor: Brees Hall, like, they suck.

Giovanni Vallejo: Both. Yeah.

Andrew: Okay, maybe maybe we just...

Giovanni Vallejo: But, like, last year we saw Jenty.

Trevor: digress

Giovanni Vallejo: Last year we saw Jenty have a shit year, and he was supposed to be dynamic and amazing, but I mean...

Trevor: He was still like RB. 15, wasn't he?

Giovanni Vallejo: I don't know he had a pretty bad year

Andrew: He was RB16. but like i i don't know i i guess i am maybe i'm underestimating this team but i just I am having a really hard time seeing it.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Trevor: 16, yeah.

Andrew: if I'm being completely honest.

Giovanni Vallejo: I will say... like i can so I had him one. Where'd you have him, Trevor?

Trevor: I had him too.

Giovanni Vallejo: i could I could see this being like... my like most wrong pick. like I can see the downsides. like don't don't like Don't get me wrong. I see the issues with the wide receiver depth and like that, but...

Trevor: No.

Giovanni Vallejo: like I don't know. i just like He has three dynamic playmakers, like and i just that's what I love about it. but I forget, what was your number one, Andrew? Just so we could like repeat it that for the end of the podcast.

Trevor: I think. We both said...

Andrew: I had Harrison.

Trevor: Yeah, we both said Harrison.

Giovanni Vallejo: Harrison?

Andrew: Yeah. Yeah, I thought I mean, I think Harrison's team is really great.

Trevor: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: I mean... If...

Andrew: And I think looking back at it, maybe I'm a little more hesitant with like looking at Jaden Daniels and like his

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: Bench depth overall. But I don't know.

Trevor: Don't care.

Andrew: I could also see that being super wrong too. Honestly, after looking back at... everything and like going through all this i feel like i've i've liked rich's team the most out of all of them Now that i like I'm looking back at everything. But I think it's incredibly hard to look at everybody's team and be like...

Andrew: this is the number one team and like this is the team that's gonna with.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah. I agree. Yeah.

Trevor: i don't know he's just got the most complete team

Andrew: It's just like a tough. to ask.

Giovanni Vallejo: let me Let me say something.

Andrew: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: I think like going through this power ranking process, I think the biggest thing for me that I'm looking at right now is like I feel like I kind of overvalued. Like... teams that were like top heavy and not enough depth. Cause like I'm looking at these, like the teams I have in the top three, like besides rich, like Harrison and,

Giovanni Vallejo: Eric like I do not like their depth at all so like I feel like when I was going through the evaluating process looking at these teams like I was like oh he has Josh Allen, Jameer Gibbs, Brock Bowers and like with Harris's team like I looked at his depth just now when I was going through it and I'm like i do not like We were talking about...

Andrew: Hmm.

Giovanni Vallejo: i don't His depth was dog shit. His bench was absolute auction

Trevor: But why do you need depth when... 80 % of those guys aren't going to touch your lineup. but You only need them to fill in one or two weeks when you have a guy on the bench or a buy or an injury.

Giovanni Vallejo: Cause you know, fantasy always has injuries, but it's like, like I just like, like he has Camara there.

Trevor: like a hundred percent but Yep.

Giovanni Vallejo: I don't have this team up right now, but the other pieces were just like not great. And like, and like Andrew said, like Jaden Daniels, like like. Is he going to have a good year?

Trevor: My goat.

Giovanni Vallejo: His left tackle's not there, but like that's just getting in the weeds of it. I don't know if you guys have any last like comments about...

Trevor: Yeah, it's weak.

Giovanni Vallejo: How do you guys feel about the power ranking?

Trevor: I would say it's week negative one.

Giovanni Vallejo: process was.

Trevor: Like, it it doesn't it doesn't matter. They're going to be fine. Like, you're projecting injuries before they even had a snap. like it'll be fine.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Trevor: If you look at just based on who's good, you know.

Giovanni Vallejo: Okay.

Trevor: I mean, I think we're all probably wrong, but you know.

Giovanni Vallejo: i Mean I had him at two so Yeah. But, yeah, let's look. Let's do a couple like things. Do you still have some time, Trevor? Two minutes, three minutes, or what do you have?

Trevor: Yeah, I got it. I got. i got Eight minutes.

Giovanni Vallejo: All right, so I wanted to say like I think going forward guys we all agreed that we'll do like an average of our rankings and like When we do like... we're going to do like one every two weeks, three weeks, and like that's how we would go doing going forward, right?

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: I think, honestly, I think maybe we'll do rankings like maybe not every week, but maybe every five weeks. And I was thinking each week we can just go through, each of us can take like.

Trevor: quarterly.

Andrew: two or three of the matchups and then we can like do like a quick like four or five minute rundown of each of them or like three four minutes just so like the i feel like it's a little more concise and we don't have to like constantly like do like a power rankings every week because like i feel like during

Giovanni Vallejo: Well, I said every two, three weeks. that's sometimes like It could be like once every three weeks.

Andrew: Oh, yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: that's we no There's no way we're doing this every week. this is just like this so I feel like you can't even assess like after every week like you know what I'm saying like I feel like after three weeks we get an idea like okay this is where it's kind of looking like and then we'll do another one after three weeks or two weeks whatever we're feeling like but and then

Trevor: No.

Andrew: Yeah.

Trevor: No, no, no shot.

Andrew: Okay. No, I.

Trevor: Yeah.

Andrew: I agree.

Andrew: Yeah. i think each week though we can go through the matchups and i think that would be really fun just to like see who was just absolute ass that week and who was actually had a good uh week that week

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Trevor: yeah wait i mean if any of you guys have like suggestions and you guys isn't are wonderful listeners because i know every one of you is listening if you guys have like suggestions about what you want to hear or something like let us know because genuinely we're doing it for you guys and it's fun I mean, obviously, yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: And, you know...

Giovanni Vallejo: Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: yeah it's it's for fun but kind of create discussion in the league and I hope you guys have been enjoying it I've been getting a lot of feedback and texts from people so like i I hope everyone's enjoying it and like yeah I'm just gonna say last last thing like number one Eric you're my goat this year so you better you better back it up

Trevor: but

Trevor: you're You're down 2 -0. Both of us got Harrison. Harrisonburg. Put it on.

Giovanni Vallejo: All right, any last words, guys?

Andrew: Yo, fuck these teams bro. No. I'm done.

Trevor: Meh, meh, meh, meh. Yeah.

Giovanni Vallejo: that is Also, just so just before we end this, Trevor's never won a championship, so like he probably knows knows the least about Facebook.

Trevor: And that's crazy. This is my year. This is my year. I sound like the Dallas Cowboys, baby.

Giovanni Vallejo: Alright, y 'all.

Andrew: Alright guys, see ya.

Trevor: Fuck I'm gonna kill myself

Giovanni Vallejo: This has been good. Peace y 'all.

Trevor: Later.

Giovanni Vallejo: Thank you guys for listening.
