Speaker: Bitch, I'm in the...
Speaker: but chairman
Speaker: Welcome to the show, ladies and gentlemen. It's Saturday night. Mark, what are we doing? Why are we here? Why are we here? So we had ah we had a special um request because someone's going to be doing some i'm flying and didn't want to do the show at an airport, which I totally understand because airports really not. That would have been a funny show, though. You know that.
Speaker: i mean, we've done some pretty funny stuff as far as, you know, in a car. at walmart i mean we've done some pretty fun stuff so at an airport would have been one that we can i still think we need to do one at the vfw i really do you think the vfw guys deserve us over there oh yes i think so our number one fan mark what's happening amanda how are you well since before we bring damien on i want to um
Speaker: You know, we got a little bit of bad news that we have to tell people. That this is our last show for August. We're going to take a little bit of break so I can get my head back into the game.
Speaker: And so Brian can get a little bit of rest. Brian's going to leave the show. No, he's not. If he leaves the show, we're going to have to have a special guest co-host.
Speaker: for a while. Guys, I'm not going to leave the show. We do we do need a little bit of a break. mark Mark's got some things going on still again. Back back at some new things going on and we want to make sure that Mark is good to go for all the ah new and upcoming episodes. We are going to be back. We're going to be back because we have a lot of really, really cool stuff.
Speaker: We just got to figure out how we're going to do something. I know, Mary Kay. We're going to figure out a few things. on We got some stuff coming up. We might give a little hint here and there.
Speaker: um But we're just going to take the rest of August off so we can have a little bit of fun. But, guys, while you're waiting, while we're while we're over here running our mouths, why don't we bring in a very special guest, Mr. Damien what?
Speaker: I want to see how you say his last name. Fennibon. Let's see if you you're right. You were right. You said it right. Damien Tannenbaum.
Speaker: Tannenbaum. I was close. I said bomb, but yeah pretty good, pretty good, pretty good. Damn good. Hey, buddy, how are you? Awesome, man. I'm having an amazing week.
Speaker: Fantastic. and And tell us why that is. Well, i just I just booked a role on on a movie called ah The Replacement Killers. So... i've been I've spent the last eight hours trying to understand the character, figure out what it is I have to do. But I can tell you ah he's ah he's not the he's not really a good guy. He is a cop and he's a badass.
Speaker: So i'm happy. That should be interesting. Yeah, I've seen you post that. I was like, wow, it's going to be interesting. A lot of people seem to like you that role. Yeah.
Speaker: Yes, it's like I'm kind of I'm playing a a cop a lot. I also end up playing kind of a henchman, you know, mafia guy. So, look, as long as I'm acting, I'm happy. So I'll play any role you want i and I'm OK being a typecast.
Speaker: You know, I think the the the one thing I would say is I don't want to be the guy that got his balls grabbed. If you you go back, you see that see that video Mike O'Hearn shared with five million views and he's grabbing my balls. So I gotta do something better than that. So I get known for something different. yeah So Mark tells me, because Mark goes out and he researches what you what you do. I didn't research everything he does.
Speaker: But Mark says that you have done a lot of stunts. Is that right? You do stunt stuff? Yeah, interesting enough. i would say I'm a stunt actor. So i am I am not the one that, you know when they call cut, comes in and jumps off a building, falls through a roof or something. But I am a stunt actor. So what that means is I would do my own stunts during a show, which typically is fight-related, know, punches, kicks, falls, knees for camera kind of stuff.
Speaker: Very cool. But Brian, I also told you something else about him. Tell me again. He is a black belt. Oh, you kick people's asses?
Speaker: Okay, first of all, we're friends, right? I just want to clear this up. Hey, I didn't tell you what in, though. So, Damien, would you like to tell him? Yeah, i'm ah I'm a Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu first-degree black belt.
Speaker: Whoa. It means I like to choke people out. but it's you know so it's it's It's hugging with pain. It's folding laundry while people are in it. you know it's It's the grind of of just you know going head-to-head out of Matt for five minutes and just you know just trying to kill somebody um with respect.
Speaker: Gotcha. That's the Gracie that's the grae way, though. I remember the back in the day, man, I grew up with the Hoist Gracie fighting. So that's that's pretty badass. I'll tell you, it's...
Speaker: The Gracie's overall, know, it's a huge family and and I'm a Carlson Gracie, um you know, supporter and proponent of of the way he teaches, you know, um and I just love it.
Speaker: Real cool. And with that said, guys, man, I'm 56 years old as of like two or three days ago. And I didn't start when I was 18. I started when I was 35 years old.
Speaker: Wow. So it's never too late then. and That's exactly right. somebody that's in their 40s can still learn to kick somebody's ass oh yeah oh yeah and especially in jiu-jitsu because look we're we're not you know in at least in in the way we what we're doing is we're not you know punching and kick each other in the face it's it's it's a controlled chaos in a sense that it's human chess right so you're you're moving you're moving with purpose. You're, you're going step by step by step and and you're using your own body against somebody else's body in a controlled manner.
Speaker: So, you know, you you'd have fewer injuries than if you were, you know, taking punches and kicks to the head, but it's also kind of a thinking man sport, right? Because it's chess.
Speaker: Uh, Mary Kate says, Hey Damian killer shit. She loves it. Mark. I have some news if you want for when you come back to the show, about, I will i i will ah because it's not as fun.
Speaker: It's fun to make people wait. I will message you after. What if it's something super important? Well, i already I already told you what we're going to do for my birthday this year. Oh, yeah. We're doing we're doing some p clown motel, huh? ah We'll have some clowns on the show.
Speaker: disappear I specifically asked for the clowns to be on my show for that. Clowns can be scary, man. ah there they yeah Yeah, these are definitely scary.
Speaker: yeah We've had them on the show a couple of times, actually. Well, we did a whole cast full of clowns probably. Yeah, we did a half we did a half a show with nine and then another nine.
Speaker: So it was fun. i was man i Is there something wrong with you? that we should we Should we be talking to you? look at my backgroundn He loves clowns. I don't know what it is. If you look at my background, you can tell that I...
Speaker: I love horror movies. Yep. and It goes upwards. It doesn't just, but it's not just this background. It's all over. Got it. How did you get into the acting and the stunt acting? How how did that come about?
Speaker: Yeah, so interestingly ahly enough, I am, you know, I'm a C-level executive, or I was a C-level executive for 30 years. I traveled a lot. And when I would travel, I would do jujitsu, kickboxing, CrossFit, you know I would stop and train at different places. So I met a lot of different people in different places. And um I was, about seven years ago, there was a posting on Facebook and they needed somebody to help with a low budget independent film fight scene.
Speaker: And so I sent a note to my son, I'm like, hey, kid, let's let's go be in this movie. So we went, I ended up doing this pretty cool fight scene, having a lot of fun.
Speaker: My son hated it and I loved it. And then the following week, there was another post on Facebook and they needed extras for the Zac Efron film where he was playing Ted Bundy.
Speaker: And they were filming that right here in Kentucky. And so I saw the post, i I applied and they said, great, you could be a jailer. So I went there for four days and I initially was was given the post of just standing by the door and looking badass.
Speaker: And, you know Zach would walk by and he would be brought into the room and all these different things would happen. And the person who was standing there, who was supposed to take off his handcuffs, was really tall.
Speaker: And if anybody knows, Zac Efron is kind of exactly my height and build. So he was having a problem actually taking off the handcuffs, his fingers. He was shaking a little bit and he was too tall to actually look him in the eyes and take off the handcuffs.
Speaker: And so the director looked, he's like, I need somebody else to take off the cuffs. And I was just standing there looking, looking like a ah guard. and he's like, you. So I ended up getting bumped up and then spending that you know that three or four days essentially following Zach around, taking off his handcuffs, putting him on, walking him into different visitation rooms, parts of the jail and so on.
Speaker: And i I just fell in love ah with it ever since. was Was he easy to work with, Zack? Yeah, he was in the zone. I mean, i you yeah, he he was he he was very focused on the role. And you know he he went from you know playing a lifeguard and and you being a you know sex symbol to being Ted Bundy, right? and yeah All in one film. So he was very focused. had little skateboard. He would walk around. I tried to convince him to come to my gym, but he never came.
Speaker: Maybe one day. You never know, right? Yeah, that you never know. that's right um do you have a do you have an ideal role that you'd like to be in or a different instead of being like uh because you said you get typecast a little bit here and there and you're okay with it yeah i've been a prison guard i've been a cop so many times i mean that's it's what i'm so i'm pretty damn good at it now and and by the way i don't have a military background and i've never been a police officer but man i play a good one on tv ah you know it'd be ah interesting he looked he plays a lot of you know
Speaker: you know, typecasting one. Be interesting. A comedy. Yeah, so it's funny because i I personally, I don't like the way i look when I smile because I don't have the big teeth for it. um But yeah, I could do a comedy. But you know, what I really like I kind of love the, ah I love the based on true story, you know criminal type, serial killer, yeah know you don't have to have a lot of lines, and you know but let your let your your eyes and your expressions you know tell the story for you.
Speaker: The 48 hour stories. Yeah. you know there there's You know, or based on an actual true story, right? i'm Right. It's interesting because I'm i'm working on and a potential project here. i'm I'm flying to Texas to talk to them about it on Wednesday.
Speaker: And it's it's a documentary about, you know, I'll say it's so somewhat related to mafia. um And man, i would I would just love to play a high-level mafia guy in a movie, right?
Speaker: I could see that. You're you're not naming names. Nope. Well, if he names names, then you know it might hurt his chance. I may not be here on the next show. There you that's a very up That's right. But no, seriously, i yeah I think I do end up playing a henchman you know multiple times. i think you know and I did for Chase Dudley in one of his films, ah The Desperate.
Speaker: um And I do enjoy that. So I'm either a mafia guy or a a police officer. um Would you work with Chase again? I heard he's super easy to work with. so Yeah, I really would. Chase is a great guy. You know, it's funny because, you know, he lived here for 11 days. Right. We filmed a movie at my house earlier this year called In Between the Living and the Dead. and we filmed it, 90% of it here at my house on my property.
Speaker: And so we got you know we woke up in the morning, you know had coffee, talked, you know brainstormed on stuff. I think he's a great guy. um Look, he's he he raises money for films. He's experienced.
Speaker: He lets actors do their thing. and and And he's been really successful at it. So yeah, I'm um a Chase supporter, and I am going to work with him on a Widow's Oath ah film and film coming out next year.
Speaker: that's what i was going to ask you because that that movie from what i've seen of the stuff that he's put out man it looks badass not something yeah here i'm gonna i'm gonna be a part of movie i've got a pretty good role um and i'm also uh gonna do some fight coordinator role but i'm not i'm not a sword guy so there'll be another stunt coordinator handling the sword stuff So start practicing with the sword.
Speaker: Yeah, I know. I got to start, man. it's funny because... Lightsabers. Yeah. But you think when you're putting together a fight scene, man, you think of all the things that goes into that, right? You've got, first of all, you've got the character, right? what What would the character do in this moment?
Speaker: Then you have the actor's capabilities, right? What can they do? What can't they do? Then you have camera angles and making sure that everything looks real. And then last but not least, that shit has to be safe.
Speaker: Right? So, um'm you know, I'm not going to oversell myself and try to be a stunt coordinator when it comes to swords. Yeah, where we still, um we don't know much about movies or anything else, but we are going to actually be in a movie called 92 Hours. And yes, Brian, it is happening.
Speaker: I know it takes a long time, man. I'm waiting because I keep telling people like, we're going to be in this movie. And then they're like, hey, when's this movie coming out? And i'm like, I'm waiting still. Did you already film?
Speaker: No, no, no, not yet. um man Oh, man. It is crazy the time it takes, isn't it? Like you got all the pre-production stuff. Then you have the filming and then another year goes by.
Speaker: He's told me this man has gone out. He has spent hard-earned, his hard-earned money to buy stuff off of like the Facebook marketplace because he's found some like cool like pre-World War II stuff or something like that, you know, weapons, you know, some certain weapons that he has to get, you know, he's got paint them and stuff like that. He found toys that he was like, okay, we can make this into a weapon. Yeah, he's making miniatures and stuff like that. And I was watching how that they do miniatures and stuff like that. And oh, my God, that's freaking awesome. So isn't that so think about that. A timepiece film, right? is that That's what you're talking about, right? It's based on another time frame. So every single thing in that film, you know, the actor's hairs, the clothes, the cars in the background, like everything has to be that time.
Speaker: That's crazy. That's got to be the hardest thing to do. that we're all we're ready to rock and roll so i think out of all of it mine and brian's parts is easiest because we get to sit here in florida and do it from here and all we are are news anchors we're news we're news anchors hey if it works do it right i agree We're all in, man. where was that's right and we We're ready to push the movie and help and do whatever we can do on our end. So that's fantastic.
Speaker: Hello, Miss April. How are you? said hello hello ga is hi guys So I tell you what one thing you're talking about, like the timeframes associated with film. I tell you if you get a chance, go on set. I you i've just on set earlier this week and we had a fight scene.
Speaker: So I've practiced this fight scene with with my other partner here about 50 times. So think of the amount of time you spent practicing, hours upon hours practicing. We had to choreograph it based on our builds, based on the characters and so on, right?
Speaker: Then we show up on set and the room that we're fighting in is a lot smaller than we thought it would be. So we had adjusted, right? We had to adjust for that. Then we filmed it about six times, different points of views, wide angle.
Speaker: You know, we then at the final one, we fly through a table. And now you only get one shot at going through the table and the poker chips flying in the right way and landing so the camera can catch it and then the rest of the fight.
Speaker: right So we did this whole fight scene, we filmed it, you know four hours of all this work you know on set. And in the film, it's probably going to be 20 seconds.
Speaker: Hey, you put a lot of heart in blood, sweat and tears into that one, I assume. yeah And that's but that's how it always is. It's crazy. So when you get on set you're like, you're watching and you somebody's looking the lighting and moving light over half an inch. Someone's adding a shadow or removing a shadow. Somebody's you moving a vase over and like you're like, holy cow. They're looking at all these things that you take for granted when you watch a film.
Speaker: Yeah. No, yeah like like I love the fight scenes in a film though. I mean, i get it. But like, sometimes we always sit there and wait minute earlier that was broken. Now it's not broken. Yeah.
Speaker: And you know how, like you think the more stuff in a way, the more things that they have to kind of work around and the more takes they have to do, something's going to get missed. right it happens yeah i sit there i'll sit there the first time i watch a movie i'll i'll watch it through and then i go through the second time and watch other things in the movie to see what uh is that i missed what could have been you know what you know sometimes you get them out of place that moments and you know it's it's fun but you know it's just something i like to do yeah so
Speaker: Look, so we're working on something really important right now. It's a film called Shattered the Movie. So it's called Shattered, but the website is Shattered the Movie. And we have a four-minute teaser sizzle reel out there.
Speaker: um We're going to film it here in Kentucky. And it is about a father's fight and essentially how far will he go to save his daughter from sex trafficking.
Speaker: So um are are we're trying to raise some money for it. I think we've got $10,000, $11,000 raised right now. We're trying to get $20,000 raised, and then that's going to help us do the 30-minute kind of pitch deck associated to the film so we can actually get $500,000 to a million from Hollywood.
Speaker: Oh, boy. Yeah. So if you guys can yeah share that share that information, it's a movie that has to be told. it is based on a true story. It's it's about a guy who was in hawaii um in Ohio.
Speaker: He um ultimately ended up ah killing since the the perpetrators. um And there's more to the story. But you guys, if you get a chance, shatteredthemovie.com or contact me on social, whatever. But I want to make sure I tell you guys about that film because it's one that I'm the producer on. there's There's a great actor, Daniel O'Reilly, connected to it. M5 Productions with Chris Maggard. So it's it's an experienced team.
Speaker: um And we just, we really want to make this movie. There's a teaser out for it, shatteredthemovie.com. Yes, sir.
Speaker: You looking it up, Brian? What? Are you looking it up? No, I put it in the comments, though, so other people have it. So it's shatteredthemovie. I didn't put the.com, though. I would hope that you guys would put.com afterwards.
Speaker: I was going to ask, you said that there's a teaser? Yeah, there's there's um there's a teaser. When you watch that video, it's on the website, and there's a link to the Kickstarter campaign. And again, we know we're not we're not here begging for money for it. it it's we we Money will go to you know go to make this movie. That's it. you know So if if people we don't we want you to watch a teaser. We want you support the film whether you have money to to donate or not. but Or investors out there that want to become involved in a film and you know hopefully make their money back plus. you know You're going to make it a bigger film than an indie film.
Speaker: it's boy isn't and It's going to be an indie film unless well unless somebody buys it right out. But most likely it's it's going to be a good indie film. It's going to be a good budget. We want to do it right, right? it's you know we We can make it for for very little budget, you know doing it at my house without ah without some big special effects, without some big crashes and so on.
Speaker: um But we'd like to put a few bigger names in it and we want to tell the story right. Do you guys have any ideas of who you'd like to get? ah Yeah, I mean, we're we there's some some guys already that we're talking to that we can't can't disclose. Okay. ah theyre And the reason why is they're essentially they're they're not willing to put their name on it yet until we have the deposit and the dates and so on. So we don't we don't want to throw it out there and then have it not happen. it happen But if you check the if you check the website, we do have some stuff like yeah Vernon Wells is is one of the guys that's already committed to it.
Speaker: um Daniel O'Reilly, of course, he's one of the producers with us. he's he's You see a lot about him and and the story. He he's really, really cares about it. So they're they're two pretty good actors. And, and i you know, I mentioned Vernon Wells, you know, he was Animal way back in the day on um Mad Max. So that's and he's done. He was on tons of films, hundreds of films since then. But he's just a great guy. He's involved. We've got Alessandro Fulcito from Atlanta and Stunts.
Speaker: work i'm you know fire work and everything so i mean we've got some people that are already attached helping um we're gonna make this film but want to open it up for anybody else who feels the need to and a desire to want to be part of it mark's looking for it right now it looks like talk to me why would you say i'm doing that can see it on your background brother i can see your entire computer screen on your background there Way to go. No, I'm just kidding. Stop looking at um is there Is there any particular person that you feel like you've maybe molded yourself after or tried to be similar to?
Speaker: No, I can say 100 percent. Look, I'm up. So what I have tried not to be, I guess I would say, is I am not a person sits on the sidelines and watches. If I want to do something, I'm just going to go do it.
Speaker: I'm going to figure it out. I don't care if I'm if I've never done it before. I don't care if I'm the worst at it. I'm going to try it. and hopefully stick with it. And so I try not to be a quitter.
Speaker: um And I also am not a wisher, right? I am not going to wish for something to happen. I'm going to go out there and make that shit happen. But with that said, I'm going to kind of do it with purpose, right? So I spent my whole you know first 30 years of life as a professional,
Speaker: You know, trying to make sure that i I was making a good living. Money was very important to me in a sense of making enough money to take care of my family, to to be in a position that then I could even do more of the things I love. And I and i loved my jobs, you know, the career that I had. I loved it.
Speaker: um But it led me to being able to do some of the other things I love, which turned out to be CrossFit, functional fitness, kickboxing, jujitsu, which then led me to being able to open a gym.
Speaker: Right. So since 2010, I've been a partner owner in Triple Crown Athletic and Walton, Kentucky. So if you're ever near Cincinnati, Ohio, northern Kentucky, come see me.
Speaker: But, you know that it led me to having the gym and being able to to do what we do today and you know help hundreds of people and in the community, um which then led to me being able to do acting, stunt work, travel, do seminars, and and just you know live this crazy journey.
Speaker: you know i kind of I always say it, I'm just a white belt that never quit. And in my career, I didn't have a good education. i was actually you know a street punk kid and made a lot of bad decisions. Used to get a lot of street fights.
Speaker: I ended up my first real job was Citibank customer service rep. I spent 30 years in that same industry, worked my way up from a call center agent to a C-level executive.
Speaker: So it's just like jujitsu, man. I started as a white belt, got my ass kicked every day. i still get my ass kicked every day, but I still go back. very good And even as an actor, look, I'm a, what is there? There's A, B, there's A list, there's B list, there's C list. I'm probably a D list actor still.
Speaker: ah You know, I will, there are days. and And so when you look at kind of, look at a life of an actor, right? um I will do a student film or a volunteer thing for free sometimes.
Speaker: Or I'll go on set for $3,000 for four hours. Or I'll do a little fight scene for $250. The money side of it is just crazy. It's so up and down. It all depends on the budget of the film and my availability. right So sure I would rather go do a film for free just to be a part of it. Just to be you know in there living living that dream, living that journey than sit on my couch at home.
Speaker: Now, with all that said, don't everybody send me notes and say, hey, work for free. you know Because I do believe that you know part of us in life, you know where our success is somewhat measured by our ability to do things we love and make money doing it.
Speaker: Got it. Hey, I found it. Yes. Share that, man. ah but We're going to share it. So give me a second. Okay. So Mark's going to share this real quick.
Speaker: Yeah, so hush up, Brian.
Speaker: Oh.
Speaker: hear me oh no it's my daughter in that form <unk>'t never seen her again good night okay lord my god father
Speaker: place my little girl in the hands of the devil i'll cut your love
Speaker: very
Speaker: dead
Speaker: Take your average, you will repay them. They're seizing and distrustful, for they will recognize them.
Speaker: Tell them all about it.
Speaker: guys think? Wow. Not a bad teaser filmed right here at my house. Wow, dude, the whole thing was filmed right there? Yeah, 90% of it was filmed right here. Again, Daniel Riley's main actor. That voice you heard, that very really cool voice, that's Vernon vernon Wells. And then M5 Entertainment with Chris Maggard put that together. i mean, we've already you know we spent several thousand already putting that together, getting the crew and and editing and so on. And yeah we just we want to make this a really good film.
Speaker: Thank you guys for sharing that. Absolutely. No problem. room um guys check it out it's shatteredthemovie.com if you want to go see it uh on a bigger screen i'm sure that if you're watching this on your phone or on a laptop probably didn't get to see it really well but it did look pretty freaking enticing so yeah we'll share we'll share it we'll carry it in a bit bit all right guys uh we're gonna do this uh mark's got some music keyed up for us damien okay uh it's new music from a gentleman named ronnie d hunt brand new single
Speaker: Yes, and it's called Me and You. It's called Me and You, and then when we come back, we're going to play a little game called Florida or Not Florida. But, Damien, you can't play by yourself.
Speaker: All right. You're going play against someone, and when we come back from the music video, we'll tell you who it is. That's good. We'll be right back, guys.
Speaker: It's just me you
Speaker: And I wouldn't be anywhere else but in this room She's wearing her blue jeans Favorite pair of tennis shoes And I can't help myself from looking at you
Speaker: Baby, I meant it when I said love you until I'm dead. You're the air in my lungs. Standing on the ledge, you get me out of my head.
Speaker: Something I can't run from. Cause baby, love like this only comes around once in a lifetime. Let's burn the whole city down with nobody else around.
Speaker: You know this love don't quit and the fire stays lit in the night time. While I'm holding you in, won't be lonely again.
Speaker: In a dark red F-150 in country view.
Speaker: She throws up her bare feet right across the dashboard.
Speaker: And in this very moment in time, this is everything I've asked for.
Speaker: Baby, I meant it when I said love you until I'm dead. You're the air in my lungs. Standing on the ledge, you get me out of my head Something I can't run from Cause baby love like this only comes around once in a lifetime Let's burn the whole city down With nobody else around
Speaker: You know this love don't quit and the fire stays lit in the night time
Speaker: and i wouldn't be anywhere else but in this room
Speaker: There you go, ladies and gentlemen. New music from Ronnie D. Hunt. If you're not listening to him, following him or whatever, you need to. Fantastic artist. I think he is, ah he's just, he's got to keep going up, man. He'd probably be watching right now, but he's he's doing other, and he's got a concert on him. Yeah, that's what I would have said, too.
Speaker: and yeah and We are back with Damien Tannenbaum, and we are getting ready to play a little game called Florida or not Florida. But Damien, we can't do it alone, like I said earlier.
Speaker: all right. You're going to need somebody to to play against you. so ladies and gentlemen, another shot podcast. Oh, what's going on guys?

Speaker: Let's talk about it. Is this a Florida hero or not a Florida hero? Look at Mark over here. What the hell is your problem? you You're not allowed play.
Speaker: I don't know. Damien says not Florida. Put it on the put it on the books, Mark. All right, brother, what are you thinking? thank oh Do we need to talk about it for second? The only superhero in the room is me right now, so I'm going to have to say happened in Florida. It happened in Florida.
Speaker: All right, we're to go Florida on this one. And then, Amanda, where are you at with this? Not Florida. Amanda says not Florida. And, guys, if you picked Florida, well, you're absolutely right. It happened right here in lovely Florida.
Speaker: Ooh, counterpunch. Nice. He got on the board. He's excited. It could be the alcohol talking. I'm sorry. fine Guys, it had to be a New Yorker, though.
Speaker: in florida that lives In Florida. Here's my thing. So when I read it and I was like fleece, I was like, yeah, it definitely didn't happen in Florida. And then I read it again and I was like, oh, wow, that did in fact happen. That's a guy in Florida wearing fleece. Like, I hope this happened in the wintertime.
Speaker: Yeah. In the summer, there ain't no damn way. <unk> Like the guy that was, you know, he ran out of the house nude and stopped a guy from kidnapping a woman. woman Made a headline.
Speaker: hey respect to that guy right right am i the only one that hears an echo coming from mark over there no there's a little bit of an echo i hear it on your end too but also online we'll get over it it's fine we'll get through the show guys here we go i don't want to i'm not ending the show because of a little echo we're not going to do that we we just went through that not too long ago all right here we go here's your next one mr malachi love robinson posed as a doctor he opened a clinic and even performed a physical exam on an undercover cop.
Speaker: Is this a Florida man or not a Florida man?
Speaker: Damien says it happened in Florida.
Speaker: So I'm going to tell you right now, you we spelled my name wrong.
Speaker: Never said that it was a female. male
Speaker: Oh, Jesus Christ. that You know what? what mark Don't get short with me, Mr. Frodo. Hey, you know what? Just because I can actually grow a beard. All right.
Speaker: Where are you at, Amanda? We're going to wait for Amanda's answer. What do you got there, brother? um I'm going to say not Florida this time. Are you sure you want to go not Florida this time? i just I just want to know for argument's sake.
Speaker: i thought i'd find the answer at the bottom of this bottle but unfortunately i was hoping it didn't have enough in there amanda amanda's gonna run with you and she's gonna say not florida as well damien's the only one that picked florida yep damien's the only one that scored a point bam right here in florida guys that's a takedown yeah All right, two more to go. Here we go Here we go.
Speaker: This one, I hope that you guys know this one because this one was awesome. I literally, I remember this one being on the news and it was nationwide. Here we go. a crew steals an entire 50 foot bridge. Yes, an entire bridge.
Speaker: They dismantled it piece by piece and hauled it away. Boldness unmatched. Did this happen in Florida or did it happen somewhere else? Florida or not Florida, guys.
Speaker: Bruce steals an entire 50-foot bridge. They dismantle it piece by piece and haul it away. Damien says, not Florida.
Speaker: Not Florida. From another shot podcast. Amanda. We're waiting for you, hon.
Speaker: Not Florida. Does anybody know where this happened? I can't remember. um Anybody want to a stab? It's got to be California. yeah You guys are absolutely right. It's not Florida. Anybody want to take a stab at where it happened?
Speaker: New York. Pittsburgh. Oh, shit. You're very close. It actually happened in Pennsylvania. oh wow.
Speaker: Pennsylvania. Yeah. All right, guys. Very good. I don't know how the points are going. I don't pay attention to that crap. Here we go. so Here is your next clue our next story.
Speaker: A thief dressed as a squirrel broke into homes and stole only nuts and peanut butter. And he left acorn shaped notes. The community responded with murals.
Speaker: Dude, that's Florida all day. um that's all you fit what you're saying is you guys are nuts no to me no what i'm saying is i wasn't dressed as a squirrel so i mean come on let's get this right all right amanda are you gonna have for you and close it out with not florida this time i don't know buddy let's find out i'm getting two thumbs up so far and and there she is she says florida as well how about oregon what ah
Speaker: Hey, Florida rhymes with Oregon. You heard us all say the same thing. It was Oregon. Flor-a-gan. Flor-a-gan. We all got that wrong. Everybody got that wrong. Guys, for playing the game, we really appreciate you guys.
Speaker: We have these little things right here. We have some talking shit military edition decals. mark Mark has some OG edition decals.
Speaker: You send us your address, we're going to get those out to the mail. They're already in the mail. Damien, they're already in the mail. And I keep saying another shot. but What is your first name? I i can't remember.
Speaker: I'm Bill. i'm bill Bill. I'm going to say Bobby. I'm so glad I kept my mouth shut the whole time. What's up, Bill? i mean What's going on, brother? Nice to meet you. My name's not as cool was Mark, but I mean,
Speaker: Yeah, you ask you ask a guy from Boston, though. That's Mac. What's up, Mac? That's right. Well, guys, thanks for playing Florida or Not Florida. Bill, with another shot podcast, real quick, thank you for jumping jumping in and taking part and and playing. Mark, how did they do? Let's even so even the numbers out. Damien won.
Speaker: Damien won? How many did he get right? Yeah, he got three right. right We'll take it. Bill, you still you still win with us, man. You still win.
Speaker: It was a good match, man. We were close. Bill's got the drink. Damien's over here going, i can't wait to get off this fucking podcast so i can go get me a drink. ah Bill, thanks for playing along. Real quick, do you want to tell everybody a little bit about your show? What, Mark? Why do you keep interrupting me?
Speaker: Because. Because.
Speaker: You gotta let him ask a question. for it
Speaker: What's the question? well he asked us a question. I actually, mean like I shot a message earlier and I was actually hoping to have just an extra couple of seconds in I was wanting to make drink, but the problem is my producer didn't show up like she was supposed to with the Red Bull, but I can still pull this one off. And we're going to call it the Tannenbaum.
Speaker: I like it. Red Bull and what? Well, it was going to be Red Bull, but unfortunately I do not have my Red Bull with me. She's blowing up my phone right now, I guarantee it. Sorry I'm not there.
Speaker: going to have to do this a different way.
Speaker: Which is fine with me. like a challenge. I bet it's going to be really good. Well, I hope so because I think everybody likes Jaeger and Jack. yeah
Speaker: That's tough. And the only other thing I'm going to need is some kind of energy drink. Unfortunately, don't have any energy drinks, so to have to do this old school. We're going to use Coke.
Speaker: The closest thing to the Red Bull that you'll ever get. Coca-Cola. I think that's even on like a slogan somewhere. where so jack So Jack and Coke, everybody drinks Jack and Coke. I've not thought to put Jaeger in with Jack Daniels and Coca-Cola.
Speaker: You're going to have to do that one. I will have to try it. We're going to give us a go, guys. guys He's making it a... day I see what you did there. The Coca-Cola is a... um What is that called, Bill?
Speaker: Coca-Cola would be the explosion in the end, and it is not what to hold because of that glass. And unfortunately, we I almost want to switch this one up a little bit. a bit Because we still need to see something, but it's not going happen.
Speaker: So here's what we're going to do. just going to pour it as is. little bit of jack.
Speaker: little bit of Jager.
Speaker: Pop the top because I mean, I mean we messed up the drink anyways without the Red Bull. There's the explosion.
Speaker: The bomb. going to tell you right now that was a lot better than I expected it to be. being and So Jack Daniels, Jägermeister, and a shot of Coca-Cola.
Speaker: well Well, you can use Coke, but you're supposed to be using Red Bull. bull The Red Bull. So this this taste comp compilation, how did that go? Was it Is it very harsh? to Talk to me. i mean It is actually not very harsh. It went down a lot smoother than I expected it to be. They co-calf nullify a lot of the burn and it took away some of the black liquor's flavor of the Jager.
Speaker: But I tell you what, if you're using Red Bull and you're mixing these two monsters, I'm going to tell you right now, it will explode later on. Nice. nice
Speaker: Bill, thank you for making that shot brother. We really appreciate it. Damien, you got a new shot named after you, man. I love it, man. I got to try it now. We're going to call it the Tenenbaum.
Speaker: Hell yeah. Bill, before we let you go, why don't you tell everybody a little bit about your show and and who you are and what you do. So we are a barthing show. We do have different theme nights.
Speaker: We don't like to do interviews, you're a guest at the bar. So I mean all all the same information comes out in simple conversation over a few drinks. We all know that the best conversations are under had after you've had a couple drinks and loosened off and up.
Speaker: But um madame we avoid avoid two particular things if we can. Other than that we're in here to drink, joke and have a good time. i mean that's all it is, it's just a straight up bar night. night and it's the only show where you get to drink vicariously through the bartender.
Speaker: We like it. Listen, there's a lot of there's a lot of people that don't drink like Mark, but Mark will tell you, like, hey, why don't you drink this and then tell me what that tastes like.
Speaker: Mark's like, get some Pepto-Bismol. No, don't do that to him, Mark. Well, Bill, thank you. Mark, I promise you we're going to mix the Rogaine in with the Dramadol, and you'll be good to go, brother brother. Oh, is that for me?
Speaker: Oh, shit. Here you go. Dude, I'm trying for Damien. I mean, I should have used muscle milk. It would have been great. Great. There you go.
Speaker: Sounds good. All right, Bill, thank you again for joining us for Florida or Not Florida. And thank you for introducing everybody to another shot. Hey, thank you for the opportunity, guys. This was a blast. Absolutely. We'll see you again soon. You're going to be live, though, right? You're going to be live on you're on the TikTok, right? So we are we're talking about going live on TikTok tonight, yes, yeah because the last time we went live on a Saturday night, it absolutely blew up.
Speaker: You can catch us regularly on the same platforms that these gentlemen are on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. We always try to leave Friday and Saturday open because you never know where we're going to run.
Speaker: Fantastic. You guys check out another SHOT Podcast. Bill, thank you again for joining us. We really appreciate you, brother. Hey, just remember, everything we say on here, though, is just our opinion, but but then again,
Speaker: It could be the alcohol talking. Damien, I hope I can talk to you again soon, brother. It's really nice meeting you, ma' man. You too, man. Cheers, guys. Well,
Speaker: that was a first. Well, there you go. So now now you've you're meeting new people. These new people will have you show up at the bar. and Once again, it's it's to have a conversation, to let people know who you are.
Speaker: the yeah It's networking all in itself. you know i think that's the big thing that we look for for our guests for us ah in general. i mean I think we've met so many great people, ah people who are stop pet performers, actors, actresses,
Speaker: Musicians, you guys are all fantastic. And listen, without you, without you, without, uh, without people like another shot podcast coming on and playing the game, there wouldn't be a show. It'd be me and Mark looking at each other like this.
Speaker: ten year old Yeah, brother i could be word yeah you know, life's about connections. Right. And then I think that's why, you know, again, the thing I would tell people is, is just get out there and try shit.
Speaker: You know, you just never know what what it's going to lead to. And if it doesn't, what did you lose? Right. You just try something else. Exactly. Listen, I think that the whole thing with this podcast, too, you know, I didn't know if I was going to be successful at doing this. And I was just like, you know what? Just going to fucking do it. Don't care.
Speaker: You know, and them we that's the whole thing. i have a great time because, like I said, we get to meet really awesome people. So, I mean, I think it's ah I think it's a, o you know, But, you know, i do i go it a like you that I think I've done a lot here recently. And, you know, Mark's been through a lot. I've been through a lot. and we want to take a little bit of a break, little breather.
Speaker: Look, and i and it's funny because, you know that happens in you know jujitsu and ah in almost anything. Right. I got a little burnout in my real career and I find I love jujitsu. I love acting. But, you know, i get burnt out doing auditions. Right. And so it's fine to take breaks. It's fine to you know your body, know your mind, whatever. Right. and take Take time off and then come back stronger.
Speaker: I agree. What do you recommend for somebody that is wanting to get into jujitsu, get into acting, doing what you're doing? How would you how would you say, hey, listen, if you're trying to follow in a path that I that I've trailblazed, then this is how you gotta to do it.
Speaker: Yeah. So jujitsu is I mean, I can tell you both jujitsu and acting, they are both really easy to get into. Everybody thinks it's so hard. Everybody says, oh, I wish I could do that. Bottom line is, you go on your phone right now, open up Google and say jujitsu near me. Right. You're going to find probably five, 10 schools now. They're everywhere.
Speaker: And find one that has a schedule that you know you can commit to. Find a place that is easy to get to. So make it really easy on yourself. A schedule you know you can commit to and a place you can get to.
Speaker: And then show up, take the beginner course, follow through, commit to at least three months. It's going to suck. There are times where it's going to be hard.
Speaker: Suck it up, commit to three months, and you'll probably love yourself for it. Same thing with ah acting. Real simple. If you want to get involved, go on Facebook and look at you know acting.
Speaker: Do a search for acting. Do a search for your city. Do a search for your town. i you Look for extra roles. So in my opinion, and and some people will disagree, but in my opinion, being an extra on set is one of the best ways to learn the industry and meet people and start to kind of, and again, I used to learn first because If you want to be good at something, you have to learn.
Speaker: You have to watch what's happening around you. You have to learn terminology. You have to see how things are done. And being a background, yeah, you don't get much money and it's long hours or whatever, but it's kind of cool the first time you see yourself on TV. And then the understanding that, holy cow, all that went into making that movie, making that scene. And so if you start off by being a background, you'll earn learn the industry pretty quick.
Speaker: Second, do independent films. Look on Facebook. There are people that are always looking for help, like, you as a, you whether you have experience as you know helping with food or as a as a PA a helping organize stuff or behind or in front of the camera, there's always independent films that are looking for team members to be a part of it. You're not going to get paid, but you're going to learn and you're going to meet more people.
Speaker: And that should, if you're if you're committed, that should lead to you being able to get auditions and get more gay player and supporting and who knows, maybe star roles.
Speaker: I've done- um but good drive um apologize I've been telling Mark that he can play like a 13 year old in high school if wanted to. Hey, I tell you what, think about that though. that that is There's a niche, there's a niche for people to play kids because kids have different working roles, right? So if you're an act if you're actually over a teen and you can play the part of somebody younger, it's great.
Speaker: You could do stunts for them what that they can't do. You can do longer hours that they can't do. Go for it, man. Actually, already made and you know, body's all broken.
Speaker: That's okay. We can put you in a wheelchair. There you go. Timmy. Timmy.
Speaker: No, but seriously, like, so the two things, again, you the two things, jujitsu easy, find a place, just do it. Show up, commit, commit to yourself, give yourself a chance to, to learn something, give your chance to ah yourself a chance to like it. And with acting, social media has made it so simple to find stuff. I, I have an app on my phone called Actors Access.
Speaker: I audition, you know, probably five to 10 times a week. for stuff right here with this backdrop, staring at my camera, looking off to the side, reading the lines, becoming a character.
Speaker: I upload it I send it to the casting director and sometimes I don't hear anything. I'd say nine out of 10 times I don't hear anything. Maybe even 19 out of 20 times I don't hear anything. But that one time I hear something then gives me that role for that week, that month, that year, whatever.
Speaker: And then And then become the character, right? How long does it take you to to really build in and dig in to become a character? So somebody says, hey, want to hire you to be this mob, mafioso style person.
Speaker: What do you do to to get to that, to garner that personality? Yeah, so first, you know obviously I get the backstory on on that character. you know as it was How did he be how do you get into that? you know what What happened there?
Speaker: um you know Was he forced into it? Family into it? you know Was he... whatever. You try to understand the backstory. Two, you understand where he fits in in the row in the film. you know What kind of relationships does he have? what's Why is he there? right What's the purpose of that character?
Speaker: And next, it's understanding what would somebody in his position say And then it's understanding your lines. right So you start to understand how would they walk, how would they look, how would they feel, what are the relationships they would have with the people that are in this film and why are they there?
Speaker: Because almost everything in film is purpose-driven, right? And you that background person walking by, there's a reason they're there. you know that character, this character that I'm playing in this film, there's a reason I'm here.
Speaker: What is it that I'm, am I the villain? Am I helping the villain? And and I am i the the supporting role for, to make this other person look big, make him look small, make him look badass, make him look tough, right?
Speaker: Most of us, and and you think of all the background, all the extras, all the day players and supporting players come together and hopefully make that star and make that film tell the story right.
Speaker: So but I think in and in understanding the role, it's it's really where do I fit in What's my purpose? Got it. And you've got some projects coming up. We talked about one earlier.
Speaker: What else do you have out there that you want people to check out? um So I'm working on right now the replacement killers. We talked a lot of about Shadow the Movie. um I've got In Between the Living and the Dead that we just filmed recently that'll be out next year or I guess late this year. We've got The Desperate, a Chase Dudley production. That should be coming out in two months, less than two months. and I've got a film that I am a... um one of the stars of called a dish best served cold that should be premiering in september 3rd 4th so there's a lot coming out i would say please follow my instagram damian tannenbaum you guys can spell it d-a-m-i-a-n-t-a-n-e-n-b-a-u-m but please follow my instagram um you know just engage with me
Speaker: And then i'll I'll keep you updated on you know the behind the scenes of some of the stunts that we do. i always what i What I love doing is I love filming kind of while we're working on it, while we're creating and putting it together and then matching that up with the actual film when it comes out to see how different it looks or even how similar it looks, right?
Speaker: It's kind of fun, right? do we're all We're all living in this world of you know seeing what's happening. So it's really cool to see the behind the scenes. which is just as important as what you see and in the 14 seconds fight that you see on TV.
Speaker: Yeah, i mean, you put a lot of blood, sweat and tears like we talked about earlier. You put a lot into that You know, it takes you guys the hours, days. Sometimes it could take you multiple days to do that, right? Yeah. All for 15, 20 seconds worth fight.
Speaker: scene, but man, I feel like the fight scene's the best part of the movie, man. that's that's When we' we're talking to action, like that's what I want to see. like The car chases and somebody getting their ass whooped.
Speaker: Yeah, the ass whipping is, I love the ass whipping. And I love, again, I'll use that term a lot, like purpose-driven, right? I love when you know there's a reason for that fight to happen. And you know that there's a reason that this person has to win this fight. And I think it it's really cool when you you then start to add you know the martial art into it, you know, based on their background. you Are they able to do that, you know that blast double leg takedown? And you see some jujitsu thrown into that too. So, you know and you look back at, you know some of the films and, you know, the old ah bar fight scenes versus the martial arts movies versus now the m MMA type films that are out. Right.
Speaker: I think it's it's cool to see how these fights have evolved over time.
Speaker: Yeah. Same thing. Same thing. um What do you, real quick. I got to ask, what do you think about AI in movies? So I think it has a place. um I do think that AI can help with efficiency.
Speaker: um But it's not going to have the heart, right? It's not going to have the mind connection, people to people. So would i do I pay to go watch a cartoon?
Speaker: People do, right? Some people will pay to watch cartoons and animated films. So I think AI has a place, but I think we're always going to want to know about the actor, about the star, and have a connection with him, have a love or hate for what he is or what he stands for during that film. And you just can't have that with an AI generated thing.
Speaker: But again, AI has its place. AI can help. You know, AI could take my fight scene that I do in my gym and put it on a cruise ship or put it on an airplane or put it on a street.
Speaker: And I think that's valuable. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. And the gym. I know you want to do a shout out for the gym. Guys, if you are in northern Kentucky, Cincinnati area, you're coming through, just dropping by, come see us at Triple Crown Athletic. We are home of Triple Crown CrossFit.
Speaker: We're home of the Will Clark training experience. We are home of the Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team. um And, of course, the Stunt Actors Network, where we're doing some stunt training and, and you know, just trying to improve ourselves.
Speaker: prove ourselves And Damien's still trying to get Zac Efron to show up. So if you're in that area, you never know. Zac might just be there one day. so Hey, how about it? Hey, we did have Tom Hardy come, which was badass. Oh, that's dope. Oh, hell yeah. yeah Yeah. He come to work out or to to film? What? what he i he be what we he He did a jujitsu camp with us, one of our partner schools, and then some friends around. We had ah a bunch of big camp that we were doing, and he came, and it was just incredible. Freddie Poole was here, which um a major stunt coordinator. He was doing Tulsa King for a long time. He was he did some stuff on bike riders with Tom Hardy. but you know So Tom, Freddie Poole, it was great to have them here.
Speaker: Bill said, I taught Tom Hardy how to fight. Yeah. Hey, man, he's serious. He's really good at jujitsu and just an all around great guy to talk to. He was very respectful.
Speaker: And but he he when he's on the mat, he lays it out there. He puts it on the mat. That's awesome. Well, listen, Damian, we we appreciate your time. we asked you for an hour. you've You've been super humble, man. You've given us over that um in your time um before we end the show do you have anything else that you want to mention talk about or anything like that i mean we're going to push the the movie for you uh the uh the site so that people can either donate see if they want to be a part of that um it looks great i mean just that little clip that you guys have absolutely looks fantastic so well Thank you. i'm Chris Maggard, who initially has a story, he's been trying to get this done for several years. so I'm really happy that that me and Daniel and and hopefully you know others can help make it happen. So thank you guys for for showing it. And hopefully others see that and just want to become involved. um I think I would also say, guys, you know just thank you for your time. And you need a fight coordinator. You need a rightly aged actor.
Speaker: You know, I don't need to be the star. I actually like being, you know, one of the supporting cast and and just helping make everybody else look good. Give me a call. Also, love working with people on jujitsu, right? So working with actors to help them improve their jujitsu or their fighting so they can look good on camera.
Speaker: Perfect. Perfect. Well, Mark, what do you think? What do we got coming up? Nothing. Nothing. its You're on a break.
Speaker: Do I get to end the show the way I normally end the show? We'll be back September 3rd. We're going to come back September 3rd to our fan, our one fan that we have.
Speaker: Amanda. and yeah She knows who she is. We love you, Amanda. Now, to ah to our to our viewers, very much appreciated that you stay in touch with us. We will be active on Facebook. We will be active on...
Speaker: Instagram and Mark wants to do something now with TikTok. I don't know what the heck that is, but listen, we're we're still going to have shows.
Speaker: We just need to take a little bit of a breather. um Brian almost tried to quit the show. So, no, I'm kidding. I didn't. Yes, he did. Don't lie. i I just asked Mark a question, and he took it to heart. So, love our fans. We love our fans. We love our viewers. We love you guys to death. So, thank you all for following us.
