Speaker: back to another episode of the don't blame the ref podcast The podcast where two fans. this week. we have a reason to complain about. like no No one's happy. No one's happy. I should be complaining all season.

Speaker: so if you if you like that Make sure you subscribe. no yeah Listen, I'm not happy. I'm trying i'm trying to keep calm. Bye. Listen. i'm not happy. But I think I found the solution, but we'll get to that later.

Speaker: We'll get to that later. But yeah, in the red corner, you got me done. In the blue corner, you've got me, E -Man. And... the phrase of the day is the premier league is too hard it's too difficult It's too much. I can't take it anymore. It's too much. world.

Speaker: listen yeah I'm just looking at all the fixture this year and I'm saying to myself bro I don't see it getting better. I don't see it getting better, you know. oh Which game do you look like look at and you go, yeah, that's that's a certified win?

Speaker: Apart from like Coventry and them. And didn't even Coventry, I know they're going to give someone a bad day. One day, they're going to give someone a bad day. But fam, there's no game where I look at it and I'm like... Yeah, my team will be fine there.

Speaker: None! this is maybe crystal palace but that's it it's crazy Ugh. even then bro but yeah so we're gonna Let's start with the Friday evening game.

Speaker: I don't know how I feel about this Friday evening kick -off, you know. I don't know, man. It's kind of it's too early. I need to ease into the weekend. You're just getting smoked Friday evening. Your whole weekend's done. Your whole weekend's done.

Speaker: I'll tell you right now, it's the worst feeling ever because now you've got to take that feeling across your weekend and then you've got to watch other people play. But the only thing that worked for me is... Other teams struggled this weekend as well. So I was able to hate watch a little, enjoy it a little bit.

Speaker: Ugh. everyone Everyone eases their pain a bit. But yeah, let's go let's go back into that pain. Let's make this a therapy session. I want you to feel better about your team. A little bit, a little bit. But we want to give people something to enjoy. This is my favourite part of the weekend when Chelsea lose.

Speaker: Oh, Jesus. But yeah. All right, let's look let's break let's break down the game, man. So Chelsea. who got and let let me Let me use the wording from...

Speaker: the brookfield admin Chelsea got G -checked at the G -tech. Wow. that's put I might frame that. I might frame that somewhere. Have to have that behind me. You know what I mean? Forget the Old Trafford green screen. Let's just slap Josie that nice...

Speaker: statement in the back card. That would be beautiful. That's buzz. Real buzz. Yeah, free no, man. Toad. Talk about me. Um, talk. Sorry, I'm waffling, I'm waffling. Let's go through the lineup. right This is where.

Speaker: I just look at your team and I go... How has this happened? How have you walked into the season? Yeah. with this as even the potential lineup. So... We'll go Emi Martinez and go.

Speaker: Wesley Fofana. Um, How do you even pronounce his name? Lacroix? Lacroix. Lacroix. I'm not cultured at all. Lacroix.

Speaker: Don't call him the crow like he's some bird or something. top my but reason My brain is gone, bro. Yo! But yeah, Coldwell.

Speaker: and then um Wimbach pairing of Neto and... Chaveria. Good enough. Yeah, come on, man. Give me points for that. And then Barco and then... Jordan Henderson Making his first start for Chelsea.

Speaker: And then Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Danny Wolbeck. So what did you think about the lineup? When you saw that, like did you... Burn your eyes. Talk to me. why How are you feeling?

Speaker: Neto fooled me in the first few games man. He fooled me. And maybe it was a case of the whole team were attacking well, so he looked better. But no, his actions itself were a lot more unselfish. He took less touches. He was combining with the team. I just feel like as the games have gone more difficult, he's gone back into his old self, taking too many touches, not thinking quick enough, not linking with players quick enough.

Speaker: and It's just is' frustrating to watch him now. Now, look, looking at that line -up from the beginning, the midfield... scared me. Scared. Scary.

Speaker: Watch this. scared me and Rhys James has got a small injury. We knew that was going to happen. I suspect Lavia's got a small injury because he did not even get subbed on today. So, which is shocking for me. He chose to sub on a 16 -year -old instead of bringing on Lavia, which tells me Lavia was definitely not fit for this game. And then...

Speaker: then gel pedro was injured so welbeck starts for me scary i went into the group chat and i said yo Sticks, no. 60. Six no, you said no there's no debt I knew we had zero chances of winning.

Speaker: And the reason why I knew that is because... I felt like we'd be toothless. Not necessarily because of the attackers on the pitch, but because of the lack of midfield.

Speaker: and control that we're going to get from our defenders and midfield. Um, I'd like to say... to... out of three of our defenders there. Lacroix and Fofana are really bad honourable They're really parallel.

Speaker: And... They struggle on the ball, so it's really difficult for us to build out. And it doesn't help that you don't have midfielders who are active and and go in and go and get it. And to be fair to Henderson...

Speaker: He actually played all that. Yeah, you know it yeah He was one of the ones who I was watching the most. You know what I mean? I love a hate watch, but... yeah Surprisingly, he was okay. I'm not going to overguess it. He was okay. He was fine in there. He did need a bit more help.

Speaker: Yeah. It was fine. Who's fine? ah The person I have to... biggest. Biggest beef with is Barker. I know. I don't think he got on the ball enough I don't think he was progressive enough I don't think he was running enough I don't. So talk to me here. What type of player is Barco supposed to be? I don't know much about him. I haven't watched Chelsea like that, only because of this pod that I watched them here and there. But apart from that, I have no, like...

Speaker: of what this person is supposed to be. So what am I supposed to be saying? I'll tell you what his career progression is. He gets picked up by... He looks techie in these highlights in Argentina. He gets picked up by Brighton and then quickly doesn't really play a lot of games, bro. They... put him on loan and then they sell him to um to strasbourg yeah Chelsea, Bayern, because they've got X.

Speaker: brent uh brighton links and whatever easy easy purchase to happen yeah he's he's a left back Yeah. He's a left back. He's a left back. He's a left back. He's played left back.

Speaker: In Argentina, he played left back for... Initially, he played left -back for Strasbourg, yeah? But I'll tell you why he he's not they're not continuing with him. I left back. because he's slow.

Speaker: He's slow I'm sorry, he's slow So, in defensive actions... You can't trust him. So they yeah charles suspect actually play a wing back. So in a wingback, it's kind of fine. You've got three defenders behind him. you can you can you can make You can make up for it.

Speaker: Eventually, they move him into centre midfield. Eventually, he's still he's still too light fake lightweight for centre midfield. He goes into camp. And he's got two defensive midfielders behind him. That's the sort of player he is.

Speaker: in terms of He wants to get on the ball, be creative. You know, he has a decent range of passing, decent. But... That is a... medium -sized fish in a medium -sized team So you're you're saying that his level is basically just a squad rotation player?

Speaker: At best. No, his level is just don't be at my club.

Speaker: That's his level. So be and so what if If you had to pick a team in the Premier League that he starts for, what what team, like how far down the table do you think he should go?

Speaker: I don't think any decent team in the prim...

Speaker: Like it may sound Deep. And maybe it is. based off a few of few ah performances that I've seen. Bear in mind, I've watched him for Stroudsburg. I never wanted him anyway.

Speaker: It just didn't. He wasn't... like ah Some of these Chelsea fans think that he's really good on the ball. And he's not that good on the ball. He's not in anything that spectacular And he's...

Speaker: Next to useless off the ball So for me I just can't envision. any prem side saying yeah i want a five foot six centimeter mid who can't run And who also isn't creative enough to call David Silva.

Speaker: Like, I'm sorry, but that's only that's the only time where someone... Of that size works. You have to be really fast are incredibly teched out. And I'm sorry, Tabarco is neither.

Speaker: So... Going into the game. Looking at the way we... By trying to play it's very awkward. And whenever we got pressed by Brentford...

Speaker: our players struggled to even get through that press. And... I had a comment on one of the videos I posted saying our midfield was fine. And the question I posed back was, What? Quality passing that midfield give our attackers.

Speaker: What? Great question. Great question. right did you Did you watch the first half? I've caught bits of... so So... There were...

Speaker: Long periods of that first half where we couldn't do anything, we couldn't really get through Brighton. and We kept trying to go around, but we couldn't play centrally. And part of the reason why we can't play centrally is, yes, we're not getting sometimes we're not getting enough movement from our attackers, but a lot of times it's our inability for for our midfield.

Speaker: to play progressively. Like, okay, Henderson done all right, but he's also not going to drop a shoulder, go past one man and then play a ball through into another player. Whereas Caicedo can do that. Lavia can do that. Rhys, to some extent, apart from the dribbling, can do that with his passing.

Speaker: So. That. It was it was a... big struggle to play through them. Now... d Do you think it's... the way Jabir Longzhu set up is. a bit more responsibilities put on Palmer and Rodgers to kind of go searching for the ball if they're not getting it.

Speaker: Or are they just literally supposed to be... hanging in their pockets and waiting for the ball to get to them. I think Palmer does that when the ball doesn't come to him anyway. I've watched him for many years. I don't think it's got anything to do with Xabi Alonso. in terms of what Palmer's doing. um and I think whatever the hell we're watching now is not. what Xabi Alonso wants. I want that to be very clear to everybody.

Speaker: I see a lot of, like... Chelsea fans losing their head. This football we're playing now. It's not Xabi Alonso. It's not his philosophy. Like it can't be.

Speaker: It's not. Because... We don't have proper midfielders that can actually do any sort of decent job to a high level. Like they can't. they can't do it um Even if it was Risa Lavia, they too cannot play to her.

Speaker: play in centre mid. to a high level. Where. They can screen protect and create. They can't. Yeah. So... I'm not too sure what Xabi Alonso's ball is.

Speaker: Yeah. Because at the moment, he's firefighting. Every game is a struggle. at the moment he is just trying to find a remedy, a formula every game to just get through that one game.

Speaker: and get through that result and he And he does. like I know we have one game a week, but... Because of the lack of options he has in centre mid. He doesn't have enough time to...

Speaker: actually build something. diesel Because he's basically already in survival mode. He's in survival mode. He is. it Yes, and unfortunately he's in survival mode because of the lack of business. that we, you know, we we messed up in centre mid. And, you know, some people are going to say, oh, that's a cop out. ah you You don't want to put the manager on the lights and whatever. Mate, look, I'm sorry. I watched.

Speaker: I watched at least 20 games of his by a Leverkusen team when they went unbeaten, mate. Like, sorry. And they they were... average like not Let's be honest, before they went unbeaten, they were average players. Almost every single person on that team was average.

Speaker: quote -unquote. um Yeah. Yeah. But he built that. He built that. And he didn't build that in one season. He built that across two seasons and then he went unbeaten. I'd rather...

Speaker: trusty football man. And I'd rather blame... the quality of the players on the pitch, because... Mhm. I know what I'm seeing with my eyes. And what I'm seeing is an inability to pass on the pressure.

Speaker: An inability to receive under pressure. And... Before I can talk about any sort of tactics and this and how do we shift them. di you've got to be able to do something decent. You've got to be able to pass with quality. You've got to be able to tackle with quality. You've got to be able to run. You've got to be able to do all these basic things first. And then we can talk about if Xabi Alonso's tactics and approach. um is is is what we want. so Yeah, for the for for me to...

Speaker: of The big... The good thing about the first half was we were a lot more compact. We were a lot more defensively astute. We didn't give up much. That made for a game that wasn't entertaining at all. But...

Speaker: ah I didn't mind it too much at that time. For me, if we go out there with a draw, nil -nil draw, I'll take it. but With that lineup, I was ready for that 0 -0 draw. I would have been so happy. so perhapss with that but yeah that was that was not what transpired in the second half The second half is like, they just...

Speaker: they turned on the switch they started the bombardment Yeah. The set pieces started kicking in and then Chelsea were... Yeah. I think you got you guys Yep.

Speaker: I think i've got I've got an issue with... These lovely people they like to call set piece coaches. What's the issue? These men are nicking a living.

Speaker: They're nicking a living. Hmm. If I was a coach, I'd do my own set pieces. I ain't having nobody else sort out my set pieces. Please and thanks. Do you mean on the defensive end or the attacking end?

Speaker: attacking end is a attacking end like i would expect you to be good at attacking set pieces because you have you as the advantage the the taker you as the attackers have the advantage Like, we should be good at attacking set pieces. sovi You are attacking.

Speaker: It's the defensive set pieces that take time, that need um real organization, that need real focus. And... If you see for that first goal that we conceded, and it's all about the first goal because it's the first goal that... causes us to capitulate and that shouldn't happen don't get me wrong like our ability to bounce back when we can see it is horrible But...

Speaker: Mhm. That set piece we had on the front line, we had, I think it was... Welbeck, Rodgers on the front post. Rodgers, no, Rodgers on the back post, apologies. Rodgers on the back post, Welbeck at the front. um Then there's Colwell, Lacroix, who were free. Fofana somewhere around that front bit as well.

Speaker: Just all our big players there in the centre of the goal. Marking. Nothing. Then you had all of Brentford's big dudes at the back post and who was marking them the likes of Barco The likes of Henderson. The likes of... The people who can't hate.

Speaker: Who also don't have the strength to hold back these big guys. So... For me that doesn't really make sense. What's 5 '6 Barker going to do against 6 '3 centre -backs? Please.

Speaker: isn't it that whole thing of like he's just supposed to be a blocker like okay how how is someone half your size gonna block you They're not even going to, Dom, you they're not even going to remotely slow you down.

Speaker: it's ineffective It's ineffective. So if anything, why is Rodgers on the back post? Put him up against one of them big guys. Told Rodgers to hold him. And that's my thing.

Speaker: If this is how you organise your team to to to to set up, and this is my problem with... set piece coaches all right will give you a blanket job. But what I'll say to my players is, hey, you're responsible.

Speaker: if they change what they're doing you guys need to look and change what you're doing So the first feud in the first half, I don't think they they done that. I don't think they hung out at the back post from what I can remember.

Speaker: And. Then this one they did Because they've probably seen it. that we're going zonal. And this is what I hate. I hate. Zonal marking at set pieces. I hate it. yeah i don't zonal is actually dumb like i know they say like oh if you do it well then it works perfectly there's no day like but it's one of those things that's kind of a lock of the draw like it If the ball's good enough and you miss that first header, it's all out the window. like with With the first goal, it was it wasn't the initial...

Speaker: Heather, that was the problem. There's there's no one on the follow -up. No one's got a man. man If someone had a man, maybe someone follows Jade and Anthony. and Maybe puts him off, but it's basically an open goal at that point.

Speaker: Especially as the ball comes in, there has to you have to now lock onto someone. Like, you you shouldn't stay still. Somebody's got to... You've got to start locking on to men in between players and stuff like that. But...

Speaker: Look. I prefer Zonal Plus. Man -marking. Yeah. I might have one to two of my best headers of the ball, the guys that really love to attack the ball. I'll have them free. I won't have them marking up because I want them free, able to run up to the ball, header, bang, bosh, get it out of there.

Speaker: Um, But... Then I'd have um the rest of the players going man to man. Yeah? And their job is to slow down those runners, yeah?

Speaker: that's that For me, that's the way it should be. We had about four or five players zonal. It's too easy bro. It's too easy. It's too easy. It's too easy. And somebody there is getting paid over 200 grand a year. To... to do that.

Speaker: To do that. Alright, cool, man. Cool, man. You could pay me that 200 grand. I promise you I'll do better than that. If my only job... with set pieces. I'll do a better job than that.

Speaker: I'm so sorry Fez. I'm so sorry. Yeah. And I don't like, I don't like. you know, disrespecting people in a professional game. Mmm.

Speaker: But that really, really... And maybe that's a player issue. Maybe it wasn't a set -piece coach's issue. But you all take responsibility for it. So, anyway, moving on from that... it I guess their initial set -up is where the main issue is. Obviously, some players fall asleep and they're not really sticking to their man. But their initial set -up is what you're saying is wrong.

Speaker: From there... Yeah, we just, to be honest, in between the goals, we weren't. It wasn't like... It's the set pieces, man. The long throws, the corners. We were really struggling.

Speaker: really struggling if you look at the team

Speaker: so To build a balanced team, I think I said this before, you need to have... more than half your team must be good at heading. In the Premier League anyway. That is basic. squad building 101.

Speaker: So let's count our players. We've got Lacroix. who he's supposedly good at hitting. Coe Will is not actually good at heading, but he's heading, but he's six foot two, and he's centre -back, so he's going to have to.

Speaker: For Fana, he's got a good leap, but... Isobozo and... does does silly things that's fine so that's three three -headed people that can handle the ball. Neto can't. Chavarria is 4 '1", so he can't. Barco can't. Henderson, he's around, what, 5 '10", 5 '11"? Again, he can head up, but he's not...

Speaker: dominant in the air yeah because he's not as big as everybody else Rodgers is tall, 6 '2". He is not dominant in the air. Yeah, so I'm gonna cancel him out. He's tall, but he's not dominant.

Speaker: He doesn't win enough headers. Um... Welbeck is a good header of the ball. So that's four. And then we have, who was on the other side? Palmer. Palmer's not heading any ball forward. No. Palmer's 6 '2", but he ain't heading anything.

Speaker: So that's four players out of 10. Outfield. that can handle the ball. At least six. You've got to have at least six. And I tell you, if I run, I can't be bothered, but if I run through Bradford's team, I promise you they have six guys who can attack the ball. Well, it's probably most of their team, bro. It's probably most of them, apart from their wingers or whatever.

Speaker: Come on. So... This is my thing It's horrible squad building. Even if James and Lavier were in the midfield. Again, James can head a little bit, but he's 5 '10".

Speaker: So... It's not good squad building you have not given the team the tools it needs to compete in this league You haven't. And Barco signing Barco at 34 million to play in the centre mid in the Premier League. That is not building a team ready for the Premier League.

Speaker: No matter what you think he does on the ball, he does not do the things off the ball that we need. We need someone who's going to win the header in the midfield at set pieces. We need someone who's going to fight, who's going to win battles.

Speaker: Yeah, who's not going to get pushed around? Did you see the way they chucked him on the ground? Did you see that? On that set piece. They flung him like he was a fly.

Speaker: Yeah man. Yeah, man. dad Yeah, I'm not even going to run through the rest of the goals, but... Look, as much as it was a game that I knew we were gonna lose, it's...

Speaker: It's frustrating the manner at which it happened. And if... If we were just a little bit more gritty, a little bit stronger. you know, we could have probably probably walked away with a draw there and then hopefully get our injured players back after the international break. But man. That was...

Speaker: a tough watch man Shove. But... Look. Moving it on. to i'm not I can't bother to talk about these guys in anymore, honestly. Oh, before I move on. yeah for a move on.

Speaker: I've got one play I need to talk about. Moken. Watches. Bye -bye. That was a hall of fame. disgusting performance. but Could not control the ball And... the Biggest thing that's so annoying about that performance is his work rate It's nonexistent.

Speaker: I saw a stat that... in terms of distance covered excluding defenders. He is the worst. Oh, midfielders and attackers. in terms of distance covered in the last five games.

Speaker: And I saw it in the game against... I didn't see it as much against Fulham. I know he missed one tracker. He missed that... He didn't follow Josh King as Josh King scored that first goal against Fulham. But really so when out when we when and we went to go watch Brighton Live, um I really saw how much he doesn't move.

Speaker: and he doesn't press enough. And the way he left Hato on that left wing, fighting for his life. The way Brian... The thing is, he did that a lot at Villa as well. There would be times I would watch him.

Speaker: and like Obviously, when it's going good for him. He looks unplayable, running through people, knocking them over, shootings on point, like he's a great ball striker. Bye.

Speaker: outside of that. when that side of his game's not going right he's mainly like just a passenger he's not doing the extra work he's not even even his technical level on the footballing side.

Speaker: falls off touch janky falls off like everything just it's just like one of those players when it's not his day it's not his day like your brother just subbing him off and putting someone else in there and that's why I blame Tabby Alonso he should have come off Ages ago. He should have. He was.

Speaker: diabolical and he wasn't moving enough i'm so sorry but the basics of football is to move and run it's to move and run like i don't want to sound like um graham soonest and then man like It is to move and run and I can't stand.

Speaker: What in the... A professional football player playing at the top end of football. At the pinnacle of football. unable to run and sprint. It's insane. It's insane.

Speaker: Like literally he's there. He's jogging towards a person who has the ball at their feet. And then that person is able to whip the boy out of the box because he's just jogging towards them.

Speaker: Jeez, bro, come on. Come on, mate. With me, if I'm the coach, mate, if I'm the coach, we're fixing that. two One month, two months, we're fixing that. You can't do that.

Speaker: You can't do that. yeah As big as you are, as fast as you are, as strong as you are, you're telling me you can't run? and if you're not fit enough to run 24 -7 in a game. Then get out of here. You shouldn't be at Chelsea then.

Speaker: The goals are great. Free goes. He's at the diesel stop. Whatever. Run, bro. Don't make me what pump like Parma's performance is so underrated this game.

Speaker: I'm going to come out of this rating Palmer so much because he... did not stop. One in. he did not stop pressing I want to see his tackling stats because I'm sure he got at least three, four tackles in there. He was...

Speaker: He had a great game. The fact that he didn't score, it's not like he had created loads of chances. in terms of his general play he had a great game Because he was working hard for the team. He was getting on the ball, dropping in. He was moving. He was trying to make things happen.

Speaker: I didn't see none of that from Rodgers. None of that. You bet. The thing is, we were complimenting him before, like him on the previous game, saying that ah he just has to do what he's good at. He's not that type of player to do what Palmer does. So maybe...

Speaker: He's just trying to get out of the way. 100%. He doesn't have to. That's fine. Okay, so make a running behind then I'd even get that problem. but that's ah That's my theme of United's game, bro. like Listen, we'll get into them. That's a perfect segue. That's a perfect segue. So what do you mean by that?

Speaker: Fabulous. He's man. either you I don't even know how to... I don't know. It can't be instruction. It can't be instruction. That's why I'm so confused about it. What can't be instruction?

Speaker: Okay look. So today... There was loads of times We're like... What I like to do here when I watch Man United, I try to figure out... Are there things that can be changed by instruction before I can point out the players individually? And what I noticed is that...

Speaker: We don't have any runners in behind like not even like To see. ah someone always needs to be making a run in behind but

Speaker: Rashford will get the ball into feet. isolated realized you know i'm never gonna take on my man so he passes it back And then that's it. That's it. It's done. that He just stands around.

Speaker: And then... and Bwemo's doing it on the other side as well and then Kim is dropping beat And then Bruno's not running behind. So then I'm just watching. I'm like. no wonder No wonder why we can't.

Speaker: create any challenges because Taylor Mintz is a good passer. Bruno's a... like he's always going to attempt the final ball whether it works at the time or not so wouldn't it make sense if an instruction for the players would be at least like Mbembe and Rashford don't stay so far wide Caught in. like

Speaker: diagonal runs into the box especially if kunya's gonna move out the space someone one of you has to go just make a run even if it doesn't come to you just make the run one of you like because i'm watching us today and i'm saying like all right cool um We had a lot of possession.

Speaker: Fulham were just kind of just sitting back and like just letting us do our thing and their entire aim was to just break on us like that was mainly mainly their plan, which is fine. You can do that as a team. doesn' no Like, it's not something new. We should we shouldn't be... a um Shocked by that.

Speaker: But for me, I'm more looking at... What are the actions of the players? Because we're getting the ball, we're passing it around, it's going from one side to the other, from one side to the other. All right, cool. Now it's time for intricate play. We'll go to Bruno. Bruno flicks onto Kunio. Kunio's touch is janky. He lost the ball. That's it. They're breaking on us.

Speaker: it will go into restaurant, it will try to do a quick one -two with someone. misplaced the past gone like and It's not a case of where one player's fault. Everyone is trying to do the same thing and failing at it.

Speaker: And then we have no plan B. the The fullbacks. There was a time as well where... Remo. had the ball on the right hand side and then i'm like okay where's the overlap Westunderland.

Speaker: there's no There's nothing happening. And then Delo's at the halfway line. So I'm just like, what? How are we going to break down teams if there's not... There's no like... This is exactly what I was... Who do they plan to do it?

Speaker: This is what exactly what I was gonna say. Like. I only watched the second half, so I didn't watch the first. um From what I've seen, the first was was was was bad. yeah But from what I saw in the second half, I saw...

Speaker: Rashford trying to get things cracking, running in behind. I think there was a 1 -2 with Tielemans, played him through, running at players. And a lot of times Rashford's left 1v1, maybe because they trust him to go 1v1.

Speaker: And then maybe there was that one opportunity where I think um sure Shaw overlapped him and then Rashford played Shaw through. Didn't lead to anything. but on the right hand side Mbwemo can't do that 1v1 thing

Speaker: So what he needs is movers and people around him, especially once he gets into a feat. He's got to have maybe, at some point, Fernandes has got to start running but beyond. He never runs beyond the striker. The thing was, he was doing it in the first couple of games. He was doing it in the first couple of games. There was even times where he looked like he was playing as a striker, not Cunha. He's just running. He's just going to make the run. Yes. And that's good, but...

Speaker: He didn't do it nearly enough today. It's almost like he hangs back, waits for Brembo to set it back to him, and then he tries that half -space whipping from deep. But it's it's just... like Once you do that... of times then they're going to get used to it and then Sometimes dialogue would overlap, but then the timing's not right. And then...

Speaker: The bit I always get frustrated with is the first phase where it breaks down. So let's say ball goes straight into Mbwema's feet, yeah? Maybe. Gallo hasn't quite timed the running behind and there isn't an opportunity to pass forward and let's say Mbwema has to now pass back the thing that we do really well or used to with Saka Odegaard and thing on that and Timbo, whoever on that right -handed side.

Speaker: is the second phase. So... Rather than, in Bremen, maybe in Bremen, once you set off there, make the run in behind or come inside the pitch. Yeah? If... Fernandes can find you great. If not Fernandes, find Dalot.

Speaker: Oh, and Brembo, once your first one breaks, come you come in Fernandes' position. And then you can set him and you just keep doing rotations. that's really all we have to do and then you can create a course of opportunity at some point

Speaker: And the thing the thing is, what you're saying is true because we did it one time in this game and that was towards the end of the first half. It was like the 43rd minute or whatever. That was the best bit of possession that we had because we did the typical passing the ball around and all that kind of stuff. But then it got to a point where Bruno and then Buemo...

Speaker: combined and Um, Embermon stepped inwards. No. um Mbembe was on the right, played it inwards into Bruno, but then he ran. He ran. So now there's a bit more rotation. Bruno's able to play the ball to him, but then... instead of Mbwemo getting it, Konya ran, took the ball ahead of Mbwemo, played it back and then that was the chance where Rashford skied it. I think that was it. Okay, okay, okay. But...

Speaker: But all that rotation. and uh free -flowing movement is disrupting the defenders and it almost led to a goal So I'm thinking that. why isn't that being encouraged more okay if we're lining up and kunya's in the nine That's just... for a placeholder if he's gonna if he wants to go out to the right And Bermo, you come and take his spot. Rashford, you played as a striker. I haven't seen Rashford in the nine. one time Remember the brain, false 9.

Speaker: um Yeah, like... Like that doesn't make any sense. Like... If you're going to do force landing, that guy should be floating. There should be rotations. There should be movement. and It should be so hard to defend. that You're just creating chances non -stop.

Speaker: I don't know. It's a coaching thing. It's a coaching thing, bro. That, that, that right there is the coaching thing. hundred percent and that's that's where i said We'll get into it later. Because, again, I figured out the solution. The other part. The other point.

Speaker: i I identified the issue. right complacency as being the key issue yeah yeah Ahem. So yeah. The only thing that we've done in the history of Man United that's fixed that is have an elite manager.

Speaker: Yeah to bypass everything yeah because you're not getting the help that you need. yeah If you're... given that Job is a Manchester United. manager. You're signing a death contract. Yeah. Sign it to death row.

Speaker: You're going to come out looking bad. So the only way that you can make this club successful. is to outperform. All your KPIs. Yeah. order them. We'll be back. Because... Manchester United fans let me go ahead and It's not a meets all. He's got to exceed his yearly target. No, no, no. You have to exceed it because we we're spoiled. We're spoiled football fans. We grew up our whole lives with Man United winning and we did not.

Speaker: Lock in. to how important fergie was to this whole thing working yeah because ah ah Listen, I remember this show. Bye.

Speaker: bugs Even, um again, I keep referring to Culture Cam's in it because his video, he's on Defcon 3. All of his videos are killing me, bro. Fuck.

Speaker: He's mentioned something that... this should be the clearest indicator that whoever gets the managerial job at Manchester United is screwed. We had Cristiano Ronaldo, right He wanted to leave. Fergie. baked him.

Speaker: Please give me one more year. Fergie said this on his um documentary. um I think Ronaldo's even said it. mentioned it as well like he wanted to leave United the year before but he stayed because of Fergie so cool You have a year buffer. to know that Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving next year. There's nothing I can do about it. I baked him. This is my last year that I'm getting out.

Speaker: Cool. Chris Ronaldo goes to Real Madrid, 80 million, record fee, whatever it was. Do you know who Fergie got as a remember. For a Ballon d 'Or winning player. You've got Antonio Valencia and Gabriel Overton.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Awww. yeah Oh my god! Listen. The first year. Wow. wow Love you.

Speaker: If that's not the clearest indication that you are screwed. Listen. You know what? so You know what? That squad that Fergie, had that lost squad that Fergie had to win the title with, his loss. title yet.

Speaker: That is an abomination. You gave Sir Alex Ferguson that squad. to go and tackle a tackle and he won it anyway. But the fact that the club were able to put him in that position...

Speaker: is... ponkers After winning the league so many times. Brokers. The fact that you're seeing... We had our golden generation. Scholes is leaving. Roy Keane's gone. All of these men are gone. And you're just not replacing them. It got so bad that Fergie had to call Paul Scholes out of retirement to come back at 37 years old to please help me. They're not giving me play. Bro, listen.

Speaker: This is a death chart. Manchester United is a death trap here. And I'm not saying that lightly. So when when I say... um I'm blaming players and I'm blaming this. It's not even just the manager.

Speaker: I don't have time for players either. It's either you're good or you can't make it here. I'm sorry. We we do not have the structure. to build up a playoff. We don't have the facility to wait for you to get good.

Speaker: So when you're signing the Patrick Dogu... That only works. if we have the environment for him to thrive in. We don't. so if he's rubbish he's just going to be rubbish at Man United sorry there's nothing we can do There's nothing for you. Joshua listen, in theory, he's a techie six foot.

Speaker: for Strong. player. blah, blah, blah. Listen. The performances aren't cutting it. You've got to go, bro.

Speaker: he did but he got a goal he's not the level Man said push. Man said you was pushing. Like, listen. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. He was. Yes. Listen.

Speaker: These men that are meaty, I'm sorry. I ain't got time. We ain't got time. Lenny, you're up. in the euro. 50Ms. 50M, sorry. Sorry, man. yeah It's too scary. Aiden Heaven. Aiden Heaven is the one I'll have issue with. Aiden Heaven. I know.

Speaker: he looks weak he looks weak no listen listen listen We cannot, the fact that our lineup even looks like this is scary. yeah it's like Heaven should be a left back.

Speaker: He shouldn't be at Man United. You shouldn't be at Man United. That's the honest truth. That's the honesty. And if we if we really get down to the crux of it... Diego Dalobo.

Speaker: He's rubbish. There's a hamster on a spinning wheel just running in his head, bro. There's no footballing thoughts going through that brain. It's just a hamster just going like this and he's just got enough reflex. When are you going to leave Dalot alone?

Speaker: Never. Never. Never. mean He's done. He's done. He's done. he's ah I'll never leave him. Harry Maguire. Harry Maguire, yeah. Got a new contract. You done all right today. He done all right today.

Speaker: Yeah, that's today That's the day. We got a player called Madrid when we come back from international break. Let's see what that's saying because everyone was so happy to give him a new contract. So let's see. Let's see. They thought it was going to be a squad rotation centre -back not knowing that it's never going to be able to play football again. Do they not understand? We won't see him again this season.

Speaker: Is he okay? Is the licked okay? I don't think so. I don't think... I said that... um Towards the end of last season. I think it's an injury that is... that He's going to have to attack her. I don't think he's coming back. I don't think he's coming back.

Speaker: I think he's going to retire before 30. I think he's gonna be like fully like he's done He's done. but that's what that's what i'm saying so i'm i'm jumping from one extreme to the other but Manchester United fans, listen, you need to understand, yeah?

Speaker: These managers who aren't ready to take on this responsibility and fix the problems themselves It's not gonna happen. But do you know why? Because... The Manchester United fanbase will never be able to mobilise in a way that actually makes change.

Speaker: to get glazers out to get in yourself we're never going to mobilize in that way because Listen, I get quoted for ticket prices for second -hand tickets to go to Old Trafford. Bro.

Speaker: Someone was trying to sell me a Man City ticket for £700, bro. Listen. That's not... gonna be um paid by regular people growing up in the manchester area that's tourist prices These are... bro when you go to the stadium it's just tourists they don't care they're just there for the vibes right they're happy to just be in the stadium bro like it This club isn't what people think it is.

Speaker: We just need to hope. That. we can grab one of these generational managers. We needed Enrique. I don't know how much it would have cost to get him. He never would have come. But that's the type of manager that you... Listen, yeah after Fergie, we need a Jose.

Speaker: We didn't get Josie at that time. yeah yeah We missed out on Jose. We missed out on Pep. Don't. Those are the type of managers that you need to fix this.

Speaker: the next one Should have been Jurgen Klopp. That should have been a Manchester United manager. Mm -hmm. counter -attacking High press, exciting, attacking football. He was turning.

Speaker: What and to when? He wanted... um This player. Here's Mo Salam at 30 mil. Look what he turned into. Here's Sadio Mane from... um Southampton Here's Wynaldum From Newcastle. his like They're giving them bums.

Speaker: And he's making water until white. Even when he came, I think Roberto Firmino was already there. He was signed by Brendan Rodgers. Yeah. Man just said, false nine, bro. He was a camera. He said, false nine, bro. And look what look where that turned into.

Speaker: And then when he, even Robert, and Andy Robertson. Okay. 8 mil from home. These are dea icons of the team now. um that when he did get the big money he got them right at the time Virgil, big money.

Speaker: Great signing. Alison. 60mm great signing obviously he's got some wrong nabi kr and like all of that stuff but He was turning. war into a w boy I don't know who the manager is.

Speaker: in the current ecosystem right now you can fix this listen man I'm just waiting for the next manager man Carrick he ain't got it he ain't got it man he ain't got it and that's so that's no That's no offense to him as a manager. I'm just saying. This is too big.

Speaker: This is too big. I'll figure that out. No novice manager can come in here. Look at look at flipping Amarim. Amarim was on his knees begging to get sacked. a couple months into it.

Speaker: that It's a lot. It's a law to handle. law It's the law. This is low. And then, look, listen, I'm still writing, but listen. And then when you've got ex -players, yeah.

Speaker: They're fast to dig out the players. They're fast. They're fast to... Like, even Gary Neville was saying something like... ah um Carrick came out and said oh he was happy with the effort from the guys today and Gary Neville said things like, are don't protect the players. Listen, it's not about protecting the players.

Speaker: Nobody knows what they're doing. Nobody's levels. no but no There's probably like two or three guys in this team who can actually hang. Everyone else is... Sorry. Digging out the players, digging out the managers. That's done. That's done.

Speaker: ex -players you are the guys or the voices of the crumbs who should be talking to any of us and talking to them man but you guys are awkward Your hands in their pockets. fer ferdinand Ferdinand's telling the fans, ah.

Speaker: understand Man United we're not that club anymore We just accept that we're not a good club. Ferdinand. That's nasty. And that's because he's the one who's interviewing all the players.

Speaker: Gary Neville's got under the hand. hotel deals when the stadium's built I got this like you know what I mean like they all got their hands in their pockets these are the guys who are the voices of the crowd and they're just not gonna say anything but Rashford have a bad game. Watch.

Speaker: ah Bruno have a bad game watch the effort They're not running enough. It's not always running. Sometimes men are just crap. Bop! The board should never have sent Carrick into this season with this team.

Speaker: Never. yeah yeah Never ever should have said that. That we never should have happened. No, it is true. Ugh. Alright.

Speaker: say I haven't even spoken about the game. Forget the game. I don't even care about that. Own goal by Licho. The only person who cared um today seemed like it was Konya. He was doing his contested shots and got a lucky one. One of them went in. One of them bounced off the rim, hit the backboard, hit the shot clock and went in. That's enough what That's what happened, bro. The deal is crap. let give me give me Give me five minutes on Brighton versus... um

Speaker: ah United versus Brighton in the midweek like oh my god I forgot about that goal what happened there What happened there?

Speaker: Like those two goals went in quickly and I sort of, I didn't really want to watch. You went 2 -0. i I was quite shocked. I was like, okay, United are playing well. I didn't really want to watch the match. I had it on in the background.

Speaker: um And I was literally on my phone. And then I just looked up. I watched it for a couple of minutes. I went. United don't play well here. No. Like. They've just gone 2 -0 up.

Speaker: But they haven't touched the ball in a while. And every time they get it, they lose it very quickly. And I'm just like... Hmm. Brighton are gonna come back here. I genuinely thought that in my head. Around 15 minutes, I was like...

Speaker: 15, 20 minutes I was like I'm not going to come back here that's when my brain locked in That's it. I put my phone down. Yeah, when you when you saw a pain on the horizon, that's when your brain locked in. You're like, oh yeah, this is about to get juicy, boy. This is going to be nice. Nah, even, yeah, like.

Speaker: That game itself. Bro. the Obviously Lacey gets his first goal. Great goal. and then home yeah I don't think he's as good as some United fans are saying. But it's I like the youthful.

Speaker: um zubin's what's the word I like the yeah exuberance. i too ways like just He's just getting it cracking. He's just trying. Effort. Bang, bang. He's just trying things. It's failing. He's trying again. And he's going, he's going. like oh These guys, Embremo looks like he's had two two packs of puff puff, jollof rice with a side of pounded yam.

Speaker: Like, whoa. Move. That's what I'm saying. When it comes to squad players, I don't mind them being an academy players, especially if it's in the attacking phase. because Be fearless and do what you want to do. Shay Lacey's got a good shot on him. For me personally, I don't think he has enough to be a winger. Like, I don't think he's those type of...

Speaker: He's not - particularly quick he's not particularly strong he doesn't have the feet to do like the wing play Unless he's literally just going to be... the running behind um one twos Final action sort of player. Then... I'm not.

Speaker: i'm not buying that but then also as well i don't really see him at the 10 so then it's a bit tricky i feel like he could be a winger but he's just not going to be a super super high level unless he figure something out i don't know maybe he just needs to be in the right system that focuses on the strengths and gets him the most amount of shooting opportunities as possible but yeah All of that.

Speaker: We got two no up. Cool. 10 minutes in i'm like this is I know it's comfortable. comfortable as as we should be, even though we're 2 -0 up, because most people go 2 -0 up and they kill off the game. I know this team can't do that.

Speaker: So... I'm trying to take the game at intervals. I'm saying, make it to halftime and tune it up. We didn't do that. We didn't do that. we couldn't even do that on the opposite side in my house I was going Brian, you need one before halftime.

Speaker: You need one before half -time, bro. And they got it. I'm like, I'm worried. I'm worried straight away because... 2 -1 is not a good scoreline. It's not a good scoreline.

Speaker: I didn't. And then. But then second half proceeded to be... We we came out a bit better in the second half, but... Everyone's heads already gone, man. this this club is full of players who have been battered and bruised mentally here that any little sign of adversity

Speaker: it's gone now it's gone it's gone they ain't got it they ain't got the hunger they ain't got the fight bro like that's what I'm saying that's why you just need top quality players because oh these guys have a weak mentality They just kept popping it.

Speaker: And United just kept letting them. Yeah. And i don't I don't want people to talk about it being a rotated United squad because that was a rotated Brighton squad. I couldn't name you five guys in that starting line -up, bro. like They just got... Fabian Herzl has just got them doing what he wants them to do. He's he's got his... team performing to the level that he wants them to you that's why it led to what happened um

Speaker: this weekend against Arsenal. To a good team, they're a bad day. you don't You do not want to play that team. Wow. Don't. out you don't And even... Even though... I think I've spoken enough about United. I think that's a good segue. it's Lovely segue.

Speaker: The Premier League is too hard. why is this it's too hard like it's too difficult i just want to rest one weekend Like somebody make it easy. Just give us three points, but it's too hard.

Speaker: Yeah, I think you can look at this. Free goals, free goals, free goals, free goals. Why is it so normal for all these lower teams to be beating top teams 3 -0? They be smoking them as well. It's not even just like, oh, they get a lucky goal. Like, you're watching them and them. Bop in.

Speaker: though ball pin and you're just like bro this is Bad watching. And you're just looking at your team and saying, we've got no chance. We've got no chance. They're physically better and they're playing better football. And then for some reason, they've all got gunmen.

Speaker: where every single one of them team have got they got a shooter they got someone who's just gonna drill it There's no... It doesn't matter who you play. Someone's on it. Someone's on smoke. yeah And um this is the thing here.

Speaker: There's two ways that you can look at look at this kind of thing. um You could say that the um teams who were Bad. in yesteryear of the Premier League have gotten better.

Speaker: or just the top level teams just aren't as good as what they used to be Bro, Nick is a bit of both. It's a bit of both negligence from the top teams.

Speaker: Who don't know how to recruit anymore? Most of these top teams don't know what a good player looks like. And that's why we keep buying dross. and we also don't recruit with any sort of thought into it With proper sitting down. What do we want to play like? What do we want to achieve? And what are the skill sets that we need in every single position?

Speaker: There is not a spreadsheet or a document in any of those clubs that has any of that information on it. not Not a single one. It's just...

Speaker: Agents. Players. the Money. That's it. Yeah, that's it. Does it? it's who' insane who's the hot property who's the um hot topic now let's just go spend a bunch of money on them And that's what it is. That's why we all keep getting sp - PUNCHED!

Speaker: Spanked! Spanked that bull! That's insane. 3 -0 Brentford. United, two seasons in a row, 4 -0. Brighton, just popping, popping, popping, popping. Bournemouth has given us some bad days as well, boy. They're calling them triple Bs, boy. Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth.

Speaker: Cooking guys, man. They're calling them the Bermuda Triangle. You don't want to put those men in an alleyway. You don't. know but when your teams If you walk away with three points, take it and run. Take it and run. Liverpool liverpool beat Bournemouth today 1 -0 away. Hey, man. Safe, man. i i' I'm out. I'm out, bro.

Speaker: That's all you can do. well yeah it's just and you know I think, i think and yeah. Just on that, yeah. okay They actually also...

Speaker: I don't know whether these managers are good. And then we end up... signing these managers from these teams yeah and then and because our our clubs are in such disarray That man can't perform.

Speaker: Them managers can't do well. Because we don't recruit well. We haven't got the same players or even the same recruitment staff. As you man. So you're actually leaving a smaller team to come to a bigger team. with the worst recruitment team and the worst players.

Speaker: You can't even play the football that you want to play. That's mad. Yeah. And the the thing is as well, with these um lesser teams, so so there's there's multiple things for them.

Speaker: So they've got money. The lower teams have got money. They can spend big bread on players. They can go to foreign leagues. those but Our teams will be linked to players for years. Link, link, link. They'll just go grab them.

Speaker: don't just go grab because they know these top six clubs they're going to be desperate enough to pay the money when it comes time to pay the money um What's it called? um West Ham. They bought Mateus Fernandes off Southampton for like 40 mil. And that was a lot of money.

Speaker: this was even when they were in the championship or whatever yeah Go flip that. They just flipped that. like they don't care these but these are they don't care like that because they know like if If he is actually a good player and all of our scouting reports are lining up correctly.

Speaker: Someone's going to come and grab it. that's that's ah That's the mess that they're doing. they they know they know it works and then They've actually got the scouting team doing the scouting.

Speaker: And then they're able to put these players. into teams with good coaches because i know you're saying you don't have these coaches are good But... They're good enough coaches.

Speaker: They might not be good managers for a big big top clubs but they can get a team on a training pitch and make them organise make them follow a good structure make them hard to beat they can do that with the point It doesn't matter who it is. Like, Brian, I've got this new guy. and What's his name? yak Yao or something like that? Yao Kure. Yao Kure. Yao Kure, yeah. Bro, who the hell is he? Who the hell is he?

Speaker: where What team did he even come from? and he's just he's just been cooking He's just been cooking. I'm just like, Pascal Gross was that bright. Went to Dortmund.

Speaker: Came back to Brighton and now he looks better. How? How? If any one of our teams would have signed it, pasal we button yeah we would have been cussing. We would have been cussing.

Speaker: Liverpool were about to spend big bread on your and on Minty and then he got injured. if it wasn't for that they would have spent big bread and they would have been cussing All of these men, like I'm looking at the line -up here for Brighton against us here.

Speaker: andreas don't know who that is but boss boss cagley I don't know who that is quote o'reilly like i don't i don't know these man i'm looking at that the back line the only recognizable faces are the um viscovich and Pascal Stroop.

Speaker: That's it. i don't know these man but then they come to Manchester they come to Old Trafford and they were just Bop you. They will give you a... Bad day. I remember back in the day when it was bull.

Speaker: Bolton. Stoke. um he was he also He also was a dead team liar. Back in the day that was always up and down that even Newcastle back in the day. They were rubbish And i look, I know i know like Stoke on a on a Wednesday night, windy day, whatever. I know there were some games, but more time did not. Chelsea beat them.

Speaker: Ciao. Yeah. Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be a good watch. It wouldn't be a good watch. But guess what? Your top quality players, the Lampard, the Drogba, the... whoever it was Hazard.

Speaker: They're going to track you through that. they're gonna do enough to get you over the line now we look our teams and we're saying to ourselves that I'm looking at my team and I'm saying as much as I'm casting Bruno, if it ain't Bruno, I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's going on I don't know who's turning up.

Speaker: Rashford coming in from the left -hand side, fake shot in. three four times and then just passing it because These were not stupid. They've got game tape on all you, man.

Speaker: they know exactly what you're gonna do when you're cutting you think they're gonna let you do that nah come on man get out of here man so what's the solution What's the solution now? Our clubs need to wake up. They need to wake up. They've got all this. It's like a... a hungry kid in ah in a can in a sweet shop.

Speaker: Like... Cheers. Because you've got so much of it. You've got everything in abundance. Your belly's full. You get complacent. Like you get, you've got so much for choice.

Speaker: There's no structure. There's no plant. There's no diet. There's no meal plan Little pep. Just... Get everything inside Do you know what really shagged it, right? It's the lower teams having money.

Speaker: Because they have money, they're charging us. Cravey. Because we've... We've always been able to punch. They're players. Oh, my club can't go to Bournemouth and get Alex Scott out of there.

Speaker: No, no. That's what I'm saying. Back in the day, that's an easy signing, bro. You don't have to go grab lamp a Lampard off West Ham. You can go grab a Tevez off West Ham. You can go grab a... um you could you could basically grab whoever you wanted like and you're spending at the time is good money but it'll probably be the equivalent of like maybe like 30 40 mil today Cool.

Speaker: They're asking for bankrolls. don't come here if you're not spending the big bread and then even then the players that you're even Alex Scott Is there a guarantee that he's going to hit if he goes to Chelsea?

Speaker: No. No. It's not. I think he's good enough. I like him, but it's not. But you're going to be spending world class level money. To get a player who might not even be ready yet. Exactly.

Speaker: It's it' dark. It's dark, so... For for me... there's not even really a fix the only real fix is a bigger injection of money for the hair clubs for the top six clubs they need bro We need the old. Everyone needs a the Abramovich.

Speaker: Everyone needs one. They need... they need a um what's the what city is um city group They need people willing to fudge the numbers to get the deals done so my team can walk up to your team and smoke you. They will spend the money they'll spend a hundred and whatever on Elliot Anderson because they know they need him. they They'll spend the money on Enzo. They'll spend the money on Bouadi.

Speaker: they'll spend it because they know when it comes time to me lining up against you And... Doki is injured. Ilimeni njai. Deal with him. Do him. I don't i don't want chat. I don't want to chat. you You have to look at these men and say, bruh, that's a long day. I have to look at these men that walking in the tunnel, like...

Speaker: I don't remember, I was very keen on... really they were saying bro teams knew they lost by the time they saw us in the tunnel bro It's... It's... When was the last time any of our teams looked like that? Like, my God.

Speaker: My God. ah We haven't looked like that since Fergie. Quick moving on to the last segment. Don't blame the ref. This is the moment where we pick a moment, an organisation, a person um that we say...

Speaker: has to take responsibility for their actions and can't blame anybody else even The ref. Do you have a don't blame? the ref moment.

Speaker: I am gonna go with... Heh.

Speaker: Could I ever go with the Zerpy? Oh my gosh. Uh -oh. I'm gonna go... if you could I'm going to go. I'll go to Zerpy. Because I absolutely despise that man.

Speaker: Me personally. I can't believe they've hired him from his Brighton days. He had a great first half of the season, the second half of the season, the Premier League. were onto his tactics and he got found out and he started getting blammed by teams.

Speaker: yeah there was about three results where he lost three four nil

Speaker: Now the reason why I don't personally like him miss is his personality

Speaker: And when things get tough, he froze. Chucks players under the bus. he lashed out it's insane he doesn't like that is for me that's just not a good person that you want in the building in leading he's no good person Bro, for me, because some of those videos that we saw out coming out of France and the way he's talking to grown men on the... Oh, yeah, yeah. That was crazy. Don't get me wrong. like Obviously, coaches shout at players, but...

Speaker: Yeah, that was just a mad situation. so to now give this guy 400 million what has that guy achieved in his career

Speaker: What trophies has that guy achieved? We'll see what. No, bro, what's he want? Why would you entrust him? with 400 million.

Speaker: He hasn't won nothing. He's won no trophies! And this is what I hate about this. This um version of... football that we have. All our teams weren't trusting. Millions, millions, millions, millions.

Speaker: to people who haven't achieved anything. What's on your CV? what's your what's your like don't tell me you're not so funny yeah you're a revolutionary coach what have you won It's not so funny. ah A lot of our teams, yeah I'm pretty sure you can think of one manager where... They should have given him the money.

Speaker: He should have had the money. he should He should have been given free will to sign whoever he wanted to sign and then we wouldn't be in this situation. oh I'm pretty sure the Spurs fans...

Speaker: when they had Poch and they had Harry Kane, Dele Alli and all of these That's when you needed to spend money And then that's what that's when you should have given him 300 mil. That's why you should have given him 300 mil. Because that's what that's what Liverpool did with Klopp.

Speaker: he but He worked it out, and then they were like, okay, here's your money. Go buy Van Dyke. Go buy whoever you need. but and then And then it worked. you have keep Keep him in the building doing long enough for him to prove that he's the guy. to Let him overperform with normal or average players or less than players. yeah Let him build something and then reward him with with the bank to say, boom, boom, boom. Yeah, okay, that's a long -winded game and not necessarily realistic all the time. However, 400 million.

Speaker: You're just gonna... Give that to the Zerby to go and do whatever he wants with. That's a joke. And whatever... Potch got to the Champions League final and they said, yeah, sorry, we ain't got no more change.

Speaker: Don't spend change, bro. It's great. And cool, yeah, that was Levy and whatever. Levy's gone now, but, bro, they're mad. they are mad mad mad mad so deserby and in the in the interview he was saying something like, oh, he's saying the team is weak mentally. Everybody knows that, but don't say that.

Speaker: Okay. Don't say it! It's your time to fix it! It's your job to inspire them. If your mentality is weak... He had five games at the end of last season. He then had a full pre -season. I know he got different players at different times and, you know, people had different breaks and there's a lot to manage. But my point is, you've had three months before the season starts. You go and fix it.

Speaker: you And then half the squad that started... They're new players. Tonali. Fernandez. um Um... Who worked at Van Heck? Um...

Speaker: The fun free. Or the front ah two wingers. That's five. Half. Half of. The starting lineup are your players. You've selected them. So walk on.

Speaker: Like, walk on.

Speaker: What, are you going to blame the players? You signed them. Bro, I don't like the guy. i don't I wouldn't conduct myself in the way this guy has conducted himself for me yet. You, man, don't blame the ref. Deserby, don't blame the ref. Tottenham, don't blame the ref. I want to see how long it's going to take for them to sack that guy.

Speaker: because It might be.

Speaker: It's not. Tottenham can't afford to have another close call this season and like almost be in the relegation battle. Fix it before he gets to that point. but like There's no point in going through the same cycle. So, who's who what's your don't blame the ref moment?

Speaker: I think mine's going to be in theme with our third topic today. The premise is getting harder. But... Listen. Top six. in general. This is for all of you.

Speaker: You cannot blame anyone else but your ownership, your scouting team, your managers. listen Don't blame the refs. You're going to get bad decisions. Don't blame us. That's why me. When when when we had um whatever decision that was the Haaland goal in the City game.

Speaker: I don't even care I don't care Play better. Earn your win. earn your win that goes across the board from we're going to be seeing bad decisions throughout the whole year That was happening 30 years ago. The jumper scored an offside goal against United. Do you remember that one?

Speaker: Are we one, two, one? It's been happening. I know Alex Ferguson is going to put pressure on the refs and that, but did he go and cry and beg? No, he went to go win the next league. Hmm.

Speaker: Well, listen, it it doesn't it doesn't matter how much you try to sugarcoat it, as in managers or fans, when your when your decision doesn't go your way, listen.

Speaker: These guys have all the money in the world to fix every problem at their club. Yeah, there's FFP and... ah PSR, whatever is is around the corner. No one's telling you to sign crap players though.

Speaker: No one's telling you to give an inexperienced manager. to um not give him the necessary tools he needs to actually be successful. That goes across the board for all of them. so Man United fans when Carrick when it gets dark again when it gets proper dark because right now i don't think it's dark here it's not dark here It's not.

Speaker: It's a bit overcast. Listen. By the second international break. but i'm told I said it. In that TikTok video I dropped. That lost to Tottenham. It's going to hit like thunder. There's no way. It's going to hit like thunder and lightning. There's no way. What?

Speaker: We will lose. We will lose to Tottenham. And then that's where I'm stuck. That's when the floodgates were open. that would I don't know if we're home or away, but that's going to be the one where we lose to them, and then the week after, they're going to go lose themselves again.

Speaker: Listen. It's gonna get bad. It's gonna get bad. Oh, yeah. All right. Thanks for tuning in. I know we didn't we didn't really speak about the games that much, but bro, listen, you're lucky where there wasn't a bunch of swearing. You're lucky there wasn't a bunch of... Actually, no, I don't even know if you're lucky because that's probably what you sickos want to see. You guys want to see that. so You're not getting it yet.

Speaker: It might come at some point in the season, but I've i've reached the final stage of grief or whatever it is. I'm at acceptance now. I know where I am. I know where the club is, though.

Speaker: Yo, thank you for tuning in. Please, please share, like, subscribe, repost. We're starting to get a bit bit bit more views now, so that's pretty good, man. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And for Instant Reactions 2 games.

Speaker: Make sure you're following us on TikTok. Yes. YouTube will have shorts of them as well. that well Yes. We'll be flooding your timelines, bro. Please. Your FYPs, whatever. Yes. Because, see yeah, the instant reactions is...
