Hey guys, I'm stuffy stuff and this is Bobby. Yeah you are. Where are we? We're in Lima Peru. We're in Lima Peru. We're just walking along the ocean, had a couple bananas. We're chillin' now. We're chillin'.

Brooklyn Basement Shirt

00:00:11
Speaker
Bobby, what's that well-being shirt?
00:00:14
Speaker
You know, it's the one you made in the Brooklyn basement.

Signs of Renewal

00:00:17
Speaker
Yeah, it is. Yeah, so one of these things where right now we're walking along a kind of a row of abandoned restaurants, which I think is kind of cool. This is probably kind of a COVID thing that probably messes up, but we hear a lot of construction in the background. It's a renewal. Yeah, I agree with that. Things change times change that all makes sense.

Surfing and Patience Metaphor

00:00:38
Speaker
Yeah, no, we're watching some surfers here actually. They're a little further out. I think the waves are getting a little bit bigger as we kind of hear. I haven't seen a single surfer get up on a wave. Yeah, we've seen them sitting in the harbor. You know what? That's a commentary on life. Is it though? Well, a lot of times you're waiting for your moment. You're waiting for your change. Waiting for your wave? You're waiting for your wave and you got to spend a lot of time
00:01:03
Speaker
sitting, waiting, waiting for the right time. Now you've got a wetsuit on, you're on a surfboard, so you're creating the opportunity. True. You gotta wait. You gotta wait. We're waiting on a wave. What have you had to wait for? Uh...
00:01:18
Speaker
Good question. I know, that's why I asked. I'm not great at waiting. Dude, I am the least patient person you'll ever meet in your entire life. I think what I'm going to end up waiting for is just kind of waiting for the influence and wisdom that comes with age. Is that a...seriously? Is that like a knock at...

Preparing for the Inca Trail

00:01:42
Speaker
people that are those bananas have experienced yes I'm gonna eat the last little bit of banana we're getting ready for the Inca trail tomorrow shout out to Cusco yeah so I got a cool little bag on here it's a super lightweight it has straps that take the weight off the sides I don't have them strapped in just yet but you know we'll get there
00:02:04
Speaker
But anyway guys, yeah, this is just kind of a, these are trail walkabout. Yeah, these are trail diaries. And so this is just a little snippet, a little captain's log. This is not the Inca trail. There'll be more to come. This is the trail before the trail. What have you learned today?

Simple Joys and Gratitude

00:02:20
Speaker
Anything? You know, I've learned to enjoy a crepe.
00:02:30
Speaker
Really? Was that really hard for you to learn how to enjoy a crane? Does that like calling me a fatty? Those were great cranes. So for me, you know, for me, I guess I really appreciated my moment of gratitude maybe today was hearing the birds through the open window, kind of waking up in a really chill and calm way, not too like an alarm clock or something menacing.
00:02:56
Speaker
What about you? What's your moment of gratitude? One, I'm going to try to throw these bananas in the trash. I think that worked. I think I got it. I'm a terrible basketball player. It's OK. Shout out Greg Osteig on the hockey team. He'll be impressed with that. I have learned that if you slow down, you can learn a lot of things.
00:03:21
Speaker
Smelling, learning to just appreciate the smell of the flowers. We're down here. What's the... The birds that you talked about. Listen to them. What's your favorite flower so far?
00:03:31
Speaker
Oh, I love the honeysuckles. Honeysuckle is just easy play. They smell awesome. I like that. Always going for that easy play. Every time I stop and smell the flowers, you're like taking pictures of me. Why is that? Well, one you ask, so I oblige. That is true.

Learning to Surf and Future Plans

00:03:46
Speaker
Oh, there's a surfer. There's a surfer up. Oh, the rep, yes. Let's get that in the background. I don't think you can see that. Oh, man. I would love, love, love to go take up surfing right now.
00:03:57
Speaker
Like, that's what we should be doing. Spend two days learning how to ride the waves, man. That's where it's at. You know what? Ride the waves of life. You don't need to be out there. I just want to ride the waves like a surfer. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah. I just want to have long, flowing, long hair. Oh, man. This is so cool. They're actually kind of getting up now, so that's neat. That is cool. All right, guys. So like I said, this is the captain's log. There's going to be more to come. Come on the Inca Trail with Bobby and stuffy stuff. Cheers, guys. Later.
