Speaker: Oh, boy.
Speaker: You want to kill this book?
Speaker: Let's kill this book dead.
Speaker: Let's kill this book.
Speaker: You know who else wants to kill this book?
Speaker: Who's that?
Speaker: Hey there, everybody.
Speaker: Welcome back to Pixlet.
Speaker: My name is Kevin.
Speaker: With me as always is Phil.
Speaker: And today we're doing the Floating Castle.
Speaker: We're finishing it up.
Speaker: Wrapping up that floating castle.
Speaker: Let's wrap it up.
Speaker: I might just, it might be a short episode.
Speaker: It won't be floating much after we're done with it, my friend.
Speaker: The castle will not be floating.
Speaker: It's going to be, it's going to be flushing.
Speaker: It's going to be the flushing castle.
Speaker: Oh, it flushed.
Speaker: Believe me.
Speaker: It flushed.
Speaker: Good Lord.
Speaker: So parts one and two, we were like, hey, it's boring, but maybe it'll get better.
Speaker: And then part three before the call.
Speaker: Now we were just like, didn't.
Speaker: Didn't.
Speaker: So didn't didn't do it.
Speaker: So let's let's just go ahead and put the body in the mash.
Speaker: Put the body in the mash.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: So it's we're on chapter 18.
Speaker: Lydia creates a floaty fake man out of a jacket and hat.
Speaker: Lydia, by the way, in case you forgot, because we were just introduced to her as the princess.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Of the castle.
Speaker: She creates a floating fake man and sends him out into the out the window and into the garden.
Speaker: And then she gets Laurel's attention that there's a man in the garden and Laurel is her like two headed, you know, school marm type person that watches her.
Speaker: Of course.
Speaker: Of course.
Speaker: Of course.
Speaker: And then they sneak down to the mirror because Alexander was told that he could walk through the mirrors if he casts a spell.
Speaker: Goes down the mirror and he.
Speaker: This is so the my recap of page 18 pretty much stops here because the rest of it is just this sentence.
Speaker: He sees Telgrin torturing the soul of his father.
Speaker: That is.
Speaker: Seven more pages of that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And Graham's like, no, I refuse.
Speaker: And Telgrin is like, how about this?
Speaker: Graham is very brave.
Speaker: Graham's brave.
Speaker: Telgrin's evil.
Speaker: Telgrin's evil.
Speaker: For several pages.
Speaker: For several pages.
Speaker: Chapter 19.
Speaker: Alexander's still watching.
Speaker: And he's waiting for the right time to strike.
Speaker: Because it couldn't have been any of the 20 minutes preceding.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Meanwhile, Laurel must be having a lot of trouble with that hat and coat that's floating around the garden.
Speaker: They create the fake person out of the floating hat and coat.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And now he's waiting and he's like, oh, I could just get in there and grab
Speaker: my dad's soul, but I also promised Owen that I would get the staff and I can't break that promise.
Speaker: I appreciate, you know, being good to your word.
Speaker: And I know that we're dealing with like nights in the round table style.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: Honor here, but get your dad.
Speaker: Go get your pops, man.
Speaker: Get your fucking dad.
Speaker: What the shit, man?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So like, anyway, another hour goes by or something.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Who cares?
Speaker: And finally, Telegrin just leaves the staff leaning against the table and goes to read a book.
Speaker: And Alexander is like, I'm running in.
Speaker: I'm going to grab it.
Speaker: I'm grabbing it.
Speaker: I'm doing it now.
Speaker: But I got to be sneaky.
Speaker: And he talks about how sneaky he has to be.
Speaker: And he takes one fucking step.
Speaker: And it's too loud.
Speaker: It gets Telgrist attention.
Speaker: That's it.
Speaker: That's all it took.
Speaker: Wait, but Kevin, this is a book based on a King's Quest, you know, the King's Quest franchise.
Speaker: Surely there was a pair of fluffy slippers he picked up somewhere along the way that he could put on and... No?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: There's no inventory puzzle here.
Speaker: That's fine.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I suppose that's fun.
Speaker: So Telgrin is like, I'm going to attack you.
Speaker: And Alexander grabs the staff and there's a beam coming out of the staff and it knocks Telgrin back and he escapes through the mirror and somehow it breaks the mirror too.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: He's back at Lydia's house and Alexander talks to his dad, but Graham is getting pretty weak.
Speaker: Lydia is like, you got to promise to take me with you.
Speaker: And Alexander was like, fuck, I wish I was I was going to just leave you here captive of this evil wizard.
Speaker: I guess I'll take you with me.
Speaker: Sure, I guess.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: As they leave the house, Laurel sees them leaving and then we go on to chapter 20.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Come on.
Speaker: Come on, God damn it.
Speaker: Let's do this.
Speaker: Let's do it.
Speaker: Let's do this.
Speaker: Let's put this body in the mosh.
Speaker: Body in the mosh.
Speaker: Chapter 20.
Speaker: Lydia orders the hat and cloak to cover Laurel's face and they escape.
Speaker: That's a wrap on Laurel.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like you're not gonna hear of her again.
Speaker: Nope.
Speaker: Alexander says they should go to the tower because he needs to get into the dungeon underneath the tower.
Speaker: So Alexander also discovers he can cast invisible spell and he hides two of them and they get past the guards.
Speaker: And then they go down.
Speaker: Hold on real quick.
Speaker: I hate to slow us down when you're just building up a head of steam here.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I feel it's important to note that what happens is what had happened was Alexander says to himself, I wish I was invisible, just musing to himself and finds that the staff gives him the ability to go invisible.
Speaker: Cute.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: Clever.
Speaker: Cute.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: And then he says, well, I wish Lydia was invisible.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: Whatever.
Speaker: And then we get like half a page where he realizes that, oh, gosh, we can't see each other.
Speaker: We can't see ourselves.
Speaker: It would be way more, you know, practical if we were invisible to everyone but ourselves.
Speaker: So he has to go, oh, then I wish that we were invisible to everyone but each other and ourselves.
Speaker: And finally, we get the it's just fascinating.
Speaker: Fucking make it.
Speaker: You made the world.
Speaker: You wrote the world.
Speaker: Just start with that.
Speaker: Just start with that.
Speaker: It's so much easier.
Speaker: Just if you're like, oh, Alexander's problem solving.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Just start with that.
Speaker: You are inventing this world.
Speaker: Oh my God, like just wasting our time.
Speaker: Despite there being a bunch of King's Quest games that were released before this, there's been really no world building for magical rules in any of the games.
Speaker: No, you can do whatever you want.
Speaker: This is your chance.
Speaker: This is your chance to make it a thing.
Speaker: And now it's just like, well, I have to be very specific.
Speaker: And it, okay.
Speaker: Here's the thing.
Speaker: If it's like, if the staff could just do that, if it's staff is just like, I say a thing and the staff does it, why couldn't you just be like, make Talgrin's head explode or something like that?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: The moment he realizes that that's how it works, why isn't he just like, bring me the soul of my father.
Speaker: Done.
Speaker: Get us the hell off this floating castle.
Speaker: Done.
Speaker: Like, if that's how it works.
Speaker: Alexander's just not very bright, I think.
Speaker: Not super bright, but that's why he got in the castle, left the castle, and had to get back into the castle.
Speaker: Remember the witch?
Speaker: There's a witch.
Speaker: She doesn't come back.
Speaker: Spoiler alert.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: We're done with her.
Speaker: We're done with her.
Speaker: Don't you worry.
Speaker: In fact, none of the other characters we've set up so far.
Speaker: Almost none of them.
Speaker: None of them.
Speaker: The Queen of the Fae, the Witch, the Otto de Fae.
Speaker: Yeah, they never come back.
Speaker: God knows they never come back.
Speaker: Probably better that that one doesn't come back.
Speaker: Probably better the auto defay.
Speaker: I think I can think of a lot of people who are happier that that stays that way.
Speaker: That's fine.
Speaker: That's fine.
Speaker: The auto defay.
Speaker: That's what you oughtn't have done, but you do anyway.
Speaker: Anyway, they go down, they get into the dungeons and Telegram's like, no, sorry.
Speaker: Alexander is like, oh, I'm getting sleepy.
Speaker: Oh, boy, I'm a sleepy boy.
Speaker: It's the magic.
Speaker: He turns off the invisibility spell and it's like, oh, well, the magic works like it drains your vitality.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: You use it.
Speaker: That's OK.
Speaker: Well, you established one rule.
Speaker: Thanks, buddy.
Speaker: Thanks.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: Then Telegram appears in front of him as a floating green head.
Speaker: They have a lot of back and forth.
Speaker: And then Alexander shoots a laser beam into his freaking eye.
Speaker: He sure does.
Speaker: He sure does.
Speaker: He sure does.
Speaker: What the fuck?
Speaker: Remember that one for later.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: And then a column collapses in the dungeon and it covers up all the, it's totally dark down there.
Speaker: So we're in chapter 21 now.
Speaker: And in the darkness, Lydia is attacked by the monster that was in the well earlier.
Speaker: I think I might've breezed right past that earlier because we're,
Speaker: When it was him and Cyril, because it was just like, fuck me.
Speaker: Jesus Christ.
Speaker: So Alexander casts a light spell so that we can see what's going on and then uses the staff to burn the monster and releases Lydia.
Speaker: And they continue on and they're talking and walking, walking and talking.
Speaker: And he tells Lydia to wait in the dungeon as he enters the cell with Owen in it.
Speaker: And he's like, you got to wait out here.
Speaker: And then Alexander mentioned goes to Owen and says, hey, Lydia's with me.
Speaker: Lydia being Owen's daughter.
Speaker: And Owen's like, no, you can't let her see me like this because I've got a head.
Speaker: My head is off my body.
Speaker: And I'm embarrassed for her to see me that way.
Speaker: It's embarrassing for a daughter to see her father without a head.
Speaker: What daughter wants that?
Speaker: What daughter wants a, what's the Irish, a Dullahan?
Speaker: It's the same thing that the Headless Horseman is.
Speaker: Oh, oh, yeah, I think, yeah, I think you're right.
Speaker: Dullahan or Dullahan or something like that.
Speaker: No girl wants their father to become a Gaelic folk legend.
Speaker: That's all there is to it.
Speaker: No girl wants their father to become a Gaelic folk legend.
Speaker: Those days are long gone.
Speaker: Those are the facts right there.
Speaker: You think Andrew Tate would want, would become a Gaelic folk legend?
Speaker: Who cares?
Speaker: Because he's in fucking jail.
Speaker: I don't.
Speaker: Yeah, I don't think he would.
Speaker: I don't think he would.
Speaker: No jail can hold a Gaelic folk legend.
Speaker: Fight me, Andrew Tate.
Speaker: This is my, my, my, my.
Speaker: I am saying Andrew Tate should fight me in.
Speaker: In a water gun fight.
Speaker: Smart.
Speaker: Probably smart.
Speaker: Even though I doubt his bona fides as a kickboxer, I still think he would kick my ass.
Speaker: Oh, sure.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: He doesn't have to be.
Speaker: No offense, Kevin, but he doesn't have to be.
Speaker: He doesn't have to be like the champion.
Speaker: He can just be like.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Somewhat trained.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That yellow belt I got in the sixth grade is gathering a whole lot of dust.
Speaker: Let me put it that way.
Speaker: Yeah, it's not a... Anyway, fuck Andrew Tate.
Speaker: Fuck Andrew Tate.
Speaker: Just add the enemies list.
Speaker: Add him to the enemies list.
Speaker: The podcast enemies list.
Speaker: The podcast enemies list.
Speaker: Richard Nixon pixelate enemies list.
Speaker: It's coming.
Speaker: It's coming.
Speaker: It's coming along.
Speaker: JK Rowling.
Speaker: You will be able to buy.
Speaker: Oh yeah.
Speaker: She can, she can go to hell.
Speaker: Um, fucking witch trials of JK Rowling.
Speaker: Oh dear God.
Speaker: I God.
Speaker: I cannot believe it.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Fuck.
Speaker: Anyway.
Speaker: Anyway.
Speaker: Um,
Speaker: It's all relatively fresh when we're recording this.
Speaker: Yeah, it's probably very old news by now.
Speaker: But who cares?
Speaker: It's always a good.
Speaker: Fuck it.
Speaker: It's our show.
Speaker: God damn it.
Speaker: It's our show.
Speaker: It's like a commercial.
Speaker: It's always time to say fuck J.K.
Speaker: Rowling.
Speaker: There's always plenty of time to say fuck J.K.
Speaker: Rowling.
Speaker: Where were we?
Speaker: Oh, oh yeah, Owen.
Speaker: He gives Owen the staff.
Speaker: And Owen blasts the bars open, even though there was already a hole in the wall.
Speaker: And.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And he's like, I am complete or something like that.
Speaker: Some real Starscream bullshit.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, it is.
Speaker: It's a very 80s metal kind of thing.
Speaker: I am complete.
Speaker: Alexander is for a moment there.
Speaker: I like the idea that Alexander was wary that Ellen might be a bad guy or something.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: With the way Ellen was talking.
Speaker: And then that's never paid like.
Speaker: We never get anything out of that.
Speaker: No, nothing comes of it.
Speaker: It was weird, though, because it got dangerously close to having nuance.
Speaker: The story in general, I mean, we backed right the fuck away from that.
Speaker: No, no.
Speaker: It's like, no, look, things might get vaguely complicated and lead to interesting drama and moments.
Speaker: So we do not want that.
Speaker: We don't want that.
Speaker: Back up off it.
Speaker: Back up.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: So we're in chapter 22.
Speaker: And Owen asks Alexander to see Lydia safely out of the castle.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Also, that's the second thing he needs to do is to remove the golden pin that keeps the castle bound to the earth.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: It's a cool detail.
Speaker: That's a cool detail.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: At very King's Quest.
Speaker: Very King's Quest.
Speaker: Alexander and Lydia do the sneaky, sneaky away up the stairs and out into the courtyard.
Speaker: And suddenly a bunch of black knights appear.
Speaker: And then Telgrin shows up and he's missing an eye now or whatever, because the thing, because he blew it.
Speaker: Remember when he shot him with the laser and the golden and the green head?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That was an interesting rule where it was like, oh, I invested so much of myself into that spell that when you shot me in the eye, it was like me being shot in the eye.
Speaker: So I was like, oh, okay.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: No, what's the fucking point of magic then?
Speaker: What are we doing here?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like, would you be able to like invest just a little bit less of yourself and it would go right through you?
Speaker: Is there like a slider that we can- Right, right.
Speaker: And why push it so far up that end if there is?
Speaker: I mean, I don't know.
Speaker: Anyway.
Speaker: There's some things we just aren't meant to know about this magical and mysterious world, Kevin.
Speaker: The only other note that I have in chapter 22 is... Oh, I thought you were about to say for the whole book.
Speaker: No, no, no.
Speaker: Not for the whole book.
Speaker: Kevin snapped.
Speaker: Just for chapter 22.
Speaker: Is this quote.
Speaker: I only want to marry you if it's against your will.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: My note says, bro, what?
Speaker: To quote several people I've met on the internet, that's a big yikes from me, chief.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: How about that?
Speaker: How about no?
Speaker: No, he literally... Because what's her argument?
Speaker: Like, she agrees to marry him?
Speaker: Lydia says, I will marry you if you let Alexander take his father and go.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And his reply is...
Speaker: I only want to marry you if it's against your will.
Speaker: And I know this was written in 1995, but that is a level of creep for this type of book.
Speaker: That is...
Speaker: Out of left fields.
Speaker: That is a lot of gross, man.
Speaker: That is a lot of what in the actual fuck.
Speaker: Like that.
Speaker: Oh, boy.
Speaker: Oh, boy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: This section, this final third of the book, by the way, has some of the most bizarre verbiage.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like the way that it's written.
Speaker: It's like finally the author was trying to come up with some interesting turns of phrase.
Speaker: And then he made the villain extra super rapey.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, I guess that's the way to make him a villain.
Speaker: You set it in stone there.
Speaker: No need to worry about...
Speaker: Killing our protagonist's dad.
Speaker: We got it.
Speaker: We got it.
Speaker: You are a winner.
Speaker: That's a wrap on any chance of you being a good guy.
Speaker: Boom.
Speaker: Pow.
Speaker: It's gone.
Speaker: Chapter 23.
Speaker: Chapter 23, my notes begin with, anyway, Owen shows...
Speaker: Anyway, Owen shows up and begins acting as a distraction by killing all the knights.
Speaker: He puts Lydia to sleep so Alexander can carry her to safety.
Speaker: And Alexander, they go and Lydia starts to wake up and Alexander has Lydia wait for him while he goes to get the golden pin.
Speaker: Chapter 24, Alexander wrestles the pin out of the ground.
Speaker: Up above, it seems like Owen is losing.
Speaker: Alexander climbs up and releases the portcullis.
Speaker: They come down and watch as Owen beats Telegrin by making him miss through where his neck isn't.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Telegrin swings his sword.
Speaker: It goes through the chunk of where there is no neck and he falls over and Owen just bops him on the head.
Speaker: And then Owen casts a spell, taking back everything that he had ever given Telegrin.
Speaker: And Telegrin turns into an 11-year-old boy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, which is deep down inside what all these kind of motherfuckers are like, but still a weird choice.
Speaker: Basically Ben Shapiro.
Speaker: He turns him to Ben Shapiro.
Speaker: Turns him to Ben Shapiro, at least the same height.
Speaker: At least the same height, yeah.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: Lydia is like, all right, we can go now.
Speaker: Chapter 25, they go out through the gate.
Speaker: Ah, the castle is too damn high now.
Speaker: Like, oh, what's that down below?
Speaker: It's Cyril.
Speaker: And Cyril uses some magic to cast a spell on a piece of cord and turns into a long rope.
Speaker: And they climb on down.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And we get very elaborate explanations of how they use arms and knees and legs.
Speaker: It's like he was remembering high school gym class and be like, hey, you guys remember how you used to climb the rope?
Speaker: This is how it works.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: One hand over the other.
Speaker: You wrap your legs around the thing.
Speaker: Those are the details.
Speaker: Here's some details.
Speaker: And then Alexander uses the pin.
Speaker: Remember the pin from the previous chapter?
Speaker: He uses the pin as kind of like a glider pulley thing.
Speaker: And he rides the rope to the ground like a hero.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Alexander then has Cyril cast a wind spell and blow the castle away from Daventry.
Speaker: That's a wrap on the castle.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Castle's gone.
Speaker: Castle's gone.
Speaker: With, and now, guess what?
Speaker: The only people living in the castle now are a floaty head old king named Owen and an 11-year-old boy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's oh, and Laurel.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: They're going to make a survival horror King's Quest based on that.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: There's some really fucked up shit that they can do with a floating castle there.
Speaker: The floating head man in the floating castle.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And then Cyril and Lydia flirt a little bit and then they take a nap.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Which which I was super good with.
Speaker: I was super good with.
Speaker: We we've talked about because she's what, 14?
Speaker: We know that we 14.
Speaker: Cyril's about the same age ish.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And we don't know Alexander's age, but I'm way more comfortable with just setting that off to the side.
Speaker: Having our supporting characters fall in love.
Speaker: Cool.
Speaker: Cool.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: Move that over and ignore that.
Speaker: And that's all good.
Speaker: And we move along.
Speaker: Chapter 26, they go to a farm that was missed by Telegram's Black Knights.
Speaker: And they borrow some horses.
Speaker: And we get a description of the horses.
Speaker: Oh, my God.
Speaker: So they can go back to the castle faster.
Speaker: And that's, by the way.
Speaker: A lot of pages dedicated to getting back to the castle faster.
Speaker: If you wanted to get back to the castle faster, just fucking say that they're back at the castle.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: You didn't need to experience.
Speaker: Yes, because Alexander, he senses that his father's soul is is rapidly disintegrating and they get it'll take it took them two days to get out here on foot before.
Speaker: And I don't think we got two days and we got to get out there.
Speaker: faster.
Speaker: And Cyril's like, well, don't worry.
Speaker: I passed a farm and they got horses.
Speaker: Well, how convenient, Cyril.
Speaker: Let's go.
Speaker: And he's like, but we could ride a horse, too.
Speaker: And because he was at first like, I got to go out on my own.
Speaker: I got to go, man.
Speaker: But we could do it together.
Speaker: It's like, just say they found some horses and went.
Speaker: This is not the compelling fiction that you think it is.
Speaker: Oh, my God.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And we've got a dapple horse.
Speaker: And this horse is brown or something.
Speaker: We have a gelding.
Speaker: A chestnut brown gelding.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Over here.
Speaker: It has a mysterious yet relatable past.
Speaker: And its father was a drinker and a fiend.
Speaker: And like...
Speaker: I'm sorry, did you not want five pages of backstory on the goddamn horse?
Speaker: The father used to work at the docks, but that was before the steam engine came along.
Speaker: It just took everyone's livelihood away.
Speaker: It took everyone's livelihood away, and since then, his father drifted from job to job, prospects drying up faster than alcohol on a wet bar.
Speaker: Which is where he ended up spending most of his time.
Speaker: Which is where he ended up spending most of his time.
Speaker: His mother.
Speaker: The camera pans back and it's Alexander on the back of the horse and the horse is like casually telling him this.
Speaker: I was really with the whole point of us grabbing you is we needed to move fast.
Speaker: Yeah, you're probably bored with my sob story anyway.
Speaker: It's like, no, I.
Speaker: Just, all right, a little more.
Speaker: Just a little more of the story.
Speaker: Figures somebody would wanna hop on my old back and bore them to tears.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's just my life.
Speaker: Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Speaker: Spashing his head with a hook.
Speaker: Okay, fine, just a few more minutes of the story.
Speaker: My dad's dying and we're almost done with this book.
Speaker: Let me tell you how my dad died.
Speaker: You think you've got it rough.
Speaker: He had been without the drink for five days.
Speaker: The shakes had set in.
Speaker: The DTs weren't far behind.
Speaker: The DTs weren't far behind.
Speaker: Old man's heart just couldn't take it.
Speaker: Oh, man.
Speaker: What a much better book that we're writing here, Kevin.
Speaker: Painting a picture with words here.
Speaker: So they get back to the castle.
Speaker: Cyril casts a spell on the orb, holding the soul in place and goes back into Graham's body.
Speaker: Yay.
Speaker: We get a weirdly tender moment between Graham and his wife who...
Speaker: we have not spent any time with.
Speaker: Like we spend a weird amount of time focusing on how happy they are to see each other again.
Speaker: It's like, I'm sure they would be.
Speaker: Don't get me wrong, but it's like, they want to bang.
Speaker: We're, we're,
Speaker: Let's act like time's a factor here, Mr. Mills.
Speaker: Chapter 27, there's another chapter.
Speaker: Months later, Alexander visits Cyril and Lydia, who are now both apprenticing under Morrowinds.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And that's the end.
Speaker: And we get...
Speaker: We end with them apprenticing under Morrowinds.
Speaker: God damn you, Kevin.
Speaker: Oh, no.
Speaker: Oh, no.
Speaker: Oh, fuck.
Speaker: I'm in college again.
Speaker: God damn it.
Speaker: I nearly failed that biology class.
Speaker: Oh, no.
Speaker: Because of Morrowind.
Speaker: It's amazing that I actually, I put in some effort for a 30 second joke at the very end of my notes.
Speaker: I'm proud of you, Kevin.
Speaker: I just, I feel like we've both come so far since we first met and this is the culmination of all of that.
Speaker: I was like, you know what would be great is if I just played the Morrowind.
Speaker: Yeah, why not?
Speaker: So close to having a soundboard on this fucking show.
Speaker: It's a great theme.
Speaker: It's a great theme.
Speaker: And it also immediately takes me back.
Speaker: Oh my God.
Speaker: Immediately.
Speaker: God, it's good music.
Speaker: Wasn't Danny Sexbang?
Speaker: Didn't he also like fail out of college because of Morrowind?
Speaker: I think, yeah, I think he also had a similar problem where he was smoking pot all the time and playing Morrowind.
Speaker: And yeah, it was, I wish that I had this.
Speaker: Basically lost a year of his life.
Speaker: Yeah, I wish that I was had a cool enough factor to involve like even drinking while playing.
Speaker: No, I was completely fucking stone sober, you know, wasting precious years of my life playing Morrowind over and over and over again.
Speaker: That game was crazy.
Speaker: Go nuts.
Speaker: Such a good game.
Speaker: Such a good game.
Speaker: And so funny, too, when you like the things you could do where you drink all the potions and then you're like zipping around.
Speaker: It was probably the last Elder Scrolls that was very specifically built for that game.
Speaker: PC style gamer crowd.
Speaker: And I don't mean in terms of like mods and stuff, because obviously that's a huge part of all the Elder Scrolls games, but because it encouraged you to really fall down a rabbit hole of all the weird random shit you could do.
Speaker: Yeah, that was a great game.
Speaker: Anyway, that's the end of the book.
Speaker: That's the end of that book.
Speaker: That's the end of that book.
Speaker: We have successfully put the body in the mash.
Speaker: The body is floating in the mash.
Speaker: Yeah, you're not going to find that.
Speaker: You're not going to get that body.
Speaker: Even when a guy goes out to get a blowjob, a guy from John Hancock goes out to get a blowjob.
Speaker: Every Thursday.
Speaker: Every Thursday.
Speaker: So, Bill, what'd you think?
Speaker: Give me your thoughts.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: That was almost a Jiminy click voice.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Give me your thoughts.
Speaker: Give me your thoughts.
Speaker: You're not a very good actor.
Speaker: You're not a very good actor.
Speaker: I don't know if I could say that this affected me in the same way that the Dark Souls book affected you, because that's not, it doesn't come that close.
Speaker: But I feel the same sense of betrayal, I think, because this is a franchise that I adore.
Speaker: It means a lot to me.
Speaker: And I, the first two thirds of this book, I was, I was not enjoying it, but I was still giving it the benefit of the doubt, not just because the time period, the style, there was a lot yet to unravel, let's say, because King's Quest is,
Speaker: is all about that classic adventure style of picking up everything.
Speaker: You find things and you go, I don't know what this is meant to do, but I'm sure it'll come in useful later.
Speaker: And it almost always does.
Speaker: Sometimes it's a red herring kind of item, but usually there's something to it.
Speaker: And at some point down the line, you go, oh, hey, this is why I've been carrying around this petrified biscuit all this time.
Speaker: It's to feed to the glub glub worm and he poops out a key, you know, or whatever.
Speaker: And and
Speaker: There was basically none of that.
Speaker: And there were options for it aplenty.
Speaker: By the end of it, we had so many opportunities that you, because he put in so many superfluous details.
Speaker: So this book is so padded, like a paragraph here, a paragraph there with like the geography of the stream that they're passing, the colors of the horses, all of this needless detail.
Speaker: And you could have used that
Speaker: To put in and he picked up a coin and flipped it and popped it in his pocket.
Speaker: And you go, that's a weird detail, whatever.
Speaker: And then later it goes, but then he remembered the coin and it fit perfectly into the da da da.
Speaker: And you had so many opportunities for that.
Speaker: But we just deus ex machina our way out of the castle and out of everything.
Speaker: Right on through.
Speaker: right on through, like, like Cyril just shows up and happens to know a spell and happens to be wearing, uh, you know, he, he gives him the string that holds his hood closed or whatever.
Speaker: And, and he makes it grow to turn into a big rope.
Speaker: And that could have been them.
Speaker: Like,
Speaker: It would have been much.
Speaker: Yeah, there's no setups and no payoffs.
Speaker: It's just shit that happens.
Speaker: Alexander could have found a piece of string or something like that and put it in his pocket.
Speaker: And then later he's like, I don't have any rope.
Speaker: All I have is this piece of string.
Speaker: And Cyril's like, hold on a second.
Speaker: I can use that.
Speaker: It would have been great, but it would have been better than just I happen to have everything right here.
Speaker: It's it's insulting and it's it's so frustrating because it could have been like that.
Speaker: I don't know if this ever would have been a five star book, but it at least would have been true to the source material on a level that you're like, OK, I get it.
Speaker: I get what they were doing here.
Speaker: Not not necessarily my taste.
Speaker: It's not a masterpiece, but it is a.
Speaker: Accurate representation of what those games are meant to be like.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: In a book form.
Speaker: And they couldn't even do that.
Speaker: They did.
Speaker: You know, they did it a couple of times.
Speaker: We gave them a lot of shit over the the everlasting biscuit wallet.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The wallet of of super bread.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: And, you know, that's insane.
Speaker: It's insane, but it's very King's Quest.
Speaker: It's super King's Quest.
Speaker: That is a very King's Quest thing.
Speaker: So they know what they're doing.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: They know how to do this.
Speaker: They just kind of gave up at the end.
Speaker: They just didn't.
Speaker: Because you know what would have been a great way to like...
Speaker: To a nice like setup and payoff that I just thought of.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: At the end, time is of the essence.
Speaker: They need a horse to get back to the castle.
Speaker: Some sort of horse, some sort of thing that's like a horse.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Did they interact with anything like that?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Maybe you could have set it up so that earlier you got the Kelpie on your side.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And then it comes back around to pay off at the end and be like, the Kelpie's like, oh, you need a ride back to the... And they're like, yeah.
Speaker: And it helps them.
Speaker: And they're like, that would have been... There you go.
Speaker: That would have been great.
Speaker: And it would have been very King's Quest.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You know, King's Quest five.
Speaker: He helps out the ants and the ant queen.
Speaker: And later they show up out of nowhere to help him find a needle in a haystack.
Speaker: And it's adorable and silly and fun.
Speaker: And that could have worked.
Speaker: That would have been great.
Speaker: I like that idea, Kevin.
Speaker: That would have been great.
Speaker: That would have been great.
Speaker: And the alternate history version of this book, that would have been wonderful.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: So, yeah, the stuff with the Fae, which is a big deal, never, nothing.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: There's just a lot of just details out there, and they are used once and discarded.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's to say this has loose ends is insanity.
Speaker: Like this is, this is, this is nothing, but it's, it's a frayed manuscript.
Speaker: It is filled with loose ends.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It is, it is, it is dire.
Speaker: It is, it is, it's been wet.
Speaker: There's, it's a piece of paper.
Speaker: It's been, it's, it's wet and in the water.
Speaker: And I'm apoplectic over this book.
Speaker: It is, it is, it's a real shame.
Speaker: I, I,
Speaker: All respect to the late Mr. Mills, but I didn't like your book very much.
Speaker: The other two King's Quest books are written by someone else entirely.
Speaker: So maybe they got somebody who picked up a little more on the theme here who understood the assignment.
Speaker: We'll get to it eventually, I'm sure.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: But I was, yeah, this was not, this was not a promising start.
Speaker: Let's just say.
Speaker: Not a promising start to the King's Quest series.
Speaker: Sort of like how the Dead Space book was.
Speaker: I mean, they wrote a Dead Space book after the first Dead Space book.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So that's, that's a thing.
Speaker: That's something.
Speaker: That's something.
Speaker: Anyway.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: I got a feeling we're going to read a lot of bad books this year, Kevin.
Speaker: I don't have a good feeling.
Speaker: I have a feeling that we're going to really round out the bottom of the list this year.
Speaker: I'm just going down on our schedule for the year.
Speaker: Oh, boy.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: We're doing it.
Speaker: We're doing it.
Speaker: We're doing it.
Speaker: Fine.
Speaker: We got it.
Speaker: We got one book on there that I didn't.
Speaker: I was like, I didn't know this is a video game.
Speaker: So.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: The what's it?
Speaker: The.
Speaker: Fuck.
Speaker: What's the name of that?
Speaker: That Gabriel Knight.
Speaker: Gabriel Knight.
Speaker: I'm like, I don't know what that is.
Speaker: That's another.
Speaker: That's an old fashioned point.
Speaker: Click, my friend.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: There were no Leisure Suit Larry books?
Speaker: There were none, sad to say.
Speaker: That is.
Speaker: But you know what?
Speaker: Probably better that that did not happen.
Speaker: Probably okay.
Speaker: Probably for the best.
Speaker: Probably okay.
Speaker: I think if you try to make Leisure Suit Larry a book, it's going to get tragic really fast.
Speaker: It's going to be a bummer, man.
Speaker: It's going to be a real bummer.
Speaker: It's either going to be bad dad jokes or super offensive.
Speaker: I mean, yeah, both.
Speaker: And yeah, that's that's my guess.
Speaker: It's got to be both.
Speaker: So, yeah.
Speaker: Anyway, anyway, the most important question of the evening is what are you playing?
Speaker: Oh, I'm so glad you asked because I actually did.
Speaker: I got a lot of gaming in this past week.
Speaker: I went through my I've got my to do list on Steam and I'm trying to tear down this back wall here.
Speaker: Backlog back wall.
Speaker: Tear down this wall.
Speaker: Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this back wall.
Speaker: Mr. Globchow.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So I went ahead first and foremost, and I hate fucked my way through Bionic Commando Rearmed.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: I was so frustrated.
Speaker: I really enjoyed it at first, but the more...
Speaker: stuff they added to it, the less I enjoyed myself.
Speaker: It was just getting kind of needlessly complicated, and the new bosses were frustrating at times, and I was just like, just do it.
Speaker: Be done with it.
Speaker: And I did.
Speaker: The head exploding at the end was pretty solid.
Speaker: Pretty gross.
Speaker: I liked that.
Speaker: And then I moved on to The Procession to Calvary.
Speaker: Do you know this game, Kevin?
Speaker: I only know it by the fact that your Steam notification popped up that you were playing it.
Speaker: You would like this game.
Speaker: It is a point and click game.
Speaker: It's based very much in a similar style to the kind of collage art of Monty Python, the classic works of art kind of thing.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: Yeah, I think I saw, I think I looked at the store pages and yeah, yeah, the Monty Python collages.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: It is a story where you are a knight who had been fighting in a war.
Speaker: The war is over now, and you're not allowed to kill people anymore, and you're very sad about this fact.
Speaker: And so the leader that you fought for agrees to let you go on a mission to find the other leader and kill them because the war just kind of ends.
Speaker: And so you're allowed to go and kill.
Speaker: kill that person.
Speaker: That's your last bit of bloodshed.
Speaker: And every character, every background piece, everything in it is taken from a classic work of art.
Speaker: Uh, that's cool.
Speaker: It's really neat.
Speaker: It's gorgeous.
Speaker: And the fact that it's using like some of the crudest, most blasphemous humor you've ever heard in your life is made extra fun by the fact that every level has a different classical work of art, has a different classical song that's scoring it.
Speaker: And there's always a musician in the background playing it.
Speaker: And if you look at the person, they'll tell you what song it's playing.
Speaker: And you're like, oh, cool.
Speaker: And it's just it tricks you.
Speaker: Oh, it's great.
Speaker: And it tricks you into thinking you're cultured, despite the fact that it is just the most nihilistic, crude.
Speaker: And when I say blasphemous, I mean literally blasphemous because like Jesus Christ is one of the characters.
Speaker: He's an NPC you play and he's simply referred to as the magician because he is a street magician and a fraud and a huckster.
Speaker: And you're helping him trick people all the way through.
Speaker: Amazing.
Speaker: It's
Speaker: It's so fun.
Speaker: It took me about three hours to beat.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Not a long experience.
Speaker: So I think it'd be worth getting on sale.
Speaker: But man, was it fun.
Speaker: It was, I just, I cackled the entire time I was playing this game.
Speaker: I really enjoyed it.
Speaker: And then after that,
Speaker: I beat Amnesia, a machine for pigs, which was the second Amnesia game.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like a sequel, so to speak.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And I played Amnesia, the Dark Descent for the first time a couple of years back.
Speaker: That was one that I just never gotten to play.
Speaker: I didn't, you know, it holds up beautifully.
Speaker: The first one did.
Speaker: The second one.
Speaker: is done by uh who are the chinese room um so it's uh beautiful and atmospheric but they've pared down on like hiding and uh the madness mechanic and everything like that and it almost feels like more of a walking simulator with some puzzles in there
Speaker: And it just doesn't hold up.
Speaker: It's not as good.
Speaker: It's also very short, so it doesn't take long.
Speaker: And the story is really cool.
Speaker: And like I said, the atmosphere is excellent.
Speaker: And and that's that's terrific.
Speaker: You know, it does set a really spooky mood, but it's nowhere near the quality of the first Amnesia.
Speaker: And then finally, because... Sorry, go ahead.
Speaker: The Chinese room, they're the people that made Dear Esther.
Speaker: Yes, yes.
Speaker: And everyone's gone to the rapture.
Speaker: Everybody's gone to the rapture.
Speaker: Everybody's gone to the rapture.
Speaker: That's the one.
Speaker: So...
Speaker: And it shows.
Speaker: I'm not negative on Walking Sims.
Speaker: I think they're great for what they are.
Speaker: I enjoyed both of those games.
Speaker: It just took a little bit of the teeth out of it.
Speaker: That's exactly it.
Speaker: Amnesia is not meant to be
Speaker: a walking sim and it, it misses out on a lot of the good shit because of that.
Speaker: Although the story is excellent.
Speaker: Like I said, um, it's a really spooky atmosphere.
Speaker: If anything, honestly, some of the levels were scarier, uh, than the originals.
Speaker: Uh, it's just, it's very industrial and gritty and grimy and it's terrific.
Speaker: You know, what's funny is I think we have five nights at Freddy's gets a lot of credit for,
Speaker: for like the indie revival of horror games.
Speaker: But I really think there's a lot to be said about Amnesia, The Dark Descent, which I think predates it by a number of years.
Speaker: Yes, I would absolutely argue that Amnesia was the beginning of it.
Speaker: I think Five Nights at Freddy's was 100% the most successful example.
Speaker: I think you'd have to be a fool to argue against that.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: But I totally agree.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And then finally, because I, again, I'm going through this backlog.
Speaker: Crushing it.
Speaker: You're just crushing that backlog.
Speaker: Crushing it.
Speaker: And I was like, you know what?
Speaker: I should play something that is also a classic that I've never played that is actually meant to be really scary.
Speaker: And I started Outlast.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: I'd never played Outlast before.
Speaker: I've played a lot of games that borrow heavily from it.
Speaker: Sure, sure.
Speaker: I'm enjoying it.
Speaker: It's pretty good.
Speaker: I'm in the second level at this point.
Speaker: It's very effectively scary.
Speaker: The use of the camera.
Speaker: You do a lot of sneaking around in it, right?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, pretty solid.
Speaker: It's kind of like playing a five-hour version of the...
Speaker: you know, haunted house level of Resident Evil Village.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: Without a killer baby, which is my nightmare come to life, but it's very effective.
Speaker: So I'm having fun.
Speaker: I'm having fun.
Speaker: Yeah, you're really diving into the horror media.
Speaker: I mean, you know.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, years ago, I feel like you, I recall you wouldn't necessarily dip your toe too hard into the horror games.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And now, you know, you are the all-seeing, all-consuming horror media monger.
Speaker: I've always liked horror books and I've always liked horror movies, but for, but horror games scared me senseless.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: It was, it was a level I couldn't deal with.
Speaker: And, and yeah, you're right.
Speaker: I've just been, I'm just kind of making up for all the, the stuff that I didn't get to, I didn't get around to.
Speaker: Well, it's, it's, it's because you're, you're a horror writer of, of America.
Speaker: You're official now.
Speaker: That's true.
Speaker: It joins.
Speaker: I don't know if we actually said that on the podcast.
Speaker: You're, you're,
Speaker: I'm officially a member of the Horror Writers Association and damn, it feels so good.
Speaker: So so good.
Speaker: So to be associated with an associate.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Of the association.
Speaker: It's it's we're all just we're all just palling around.
Speaker: Patting each other on the back here, Kevin.
Speaker: That's what we're all about here.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But what are you playing, Kevin?
Speaker: What have you been playing?
Speaker: Mainly, I've been playing the Dead Space remake.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Really good.
Speaker: It's quite good.
Speaker: I was not...
Speaker: 100% sure whether Dead Space needed a remake.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Initially, because years, a couple of years ago, I played through all through the first the well, all three Dead Space games.
Speaker: And I was like, oh, you know what?
Speaker: They actually they hold up pretty well.
Speaker: They're pretty goddamn well.
Speaker: There's some really good.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: They still look good.
Speaker: All that stuff.
Speaker: So like, I don't know if I need 100% needs a remake.
Speaker: And, you know, kudos to EA.
Speaker: That hurt to say.
Speaker: Damn.
Speaker: That hurt to hear.
Speaker: I believe they've left original Dead Space up for sale.
Speaker: Like, you can still buy Dead Space, the non-remake version of Dead Space.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Let me confirm that, but that was...
Speaker: Because I played it for the first time last year.
Speaker: Yeah, it's on Steam.
Speaker: You can buy Dead Space 2008 instead of the new remake if you wanted to.
Speaker: And that's something that almost never happens.
Speaker: When a remake or a remaster comes out, the old version, most companies take it down.
Speaker: You're not even able to buy it anymore.
Speaker: So I'm glad that they left it.
Speaker: from like a preservation point of view.
Speaker: Oh, absolutely.
Speaker: But yeah, I'm almost all the way through it.
Speaker: It's pretty neat.
Speaker: It doesn't necessarily, and maybe it's just because I've missed some shit.
Speaker: It has some side quests, but I don't think it really like takes a full advantage of the fact that they opened up the ship.
Speaker: To like exploration.
Speaker: Because I've only found a couple so far.
Speaker: So it's like.
Speaker: I feel like if you're going to do the side quests.
Speaker: Like do the fucking side quests.
Speaker: Like have it a thing you can just keep doing.
Speaker: Like a list of them.
Speaker: And instead it's like.
Speaker: There's only been a couple.
Speaker: So that's weird.
Speaker: But otherwise.
Speaker: Good game.
Speaker: I just got past the.
Speaker: part where the other ship crashes into the, um, the Ishimura, the, um, the, the, the military ship crashes into the Ishimura.
Speaker: Um, and it introduces the, um, one of the more terrifying necromorph zombie dudes, the ones with the stasis packs fused into them.
Speaker: So they're all like shaky and darting around.
Speaker: Oh yeah.
Speaker: Oh yeah.
Speaker: Those are fucking terrifying.
Speaker: But yeah, really enjoying it.
Speaker: The other thing I've been playing is Pizza Tower.
Speaker: Pizza Tower.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Tell me what is this?
Speaker: I do not know this one.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So... Pizza Tower.
Speaker: Friend of the show, Hot Cider, has been going on and on about Wario lands and Wario like games forever.
Speaker: And recently he was discussing on a discord that I'm on with him, Pizza Tower, which had been announced years ago, finally came out.
Speaker: It's it's very much like the Wario Land games.
Speaker: Very, I think Wario Land four in which you just go through a level and you're trying to get like as high a score as possible.
Speaker: And then at the end of the level, you trigger like a countdown timer and you have to race back out through the level before the timer expires.
Speaker: This game looks like it was based on a cartoon from like one of the adult late night cartoons from the late 80s, early 90s.
Speaker: The graphics are done in MS Paint, if I'm correct.
Speaker: Oh my God.
Speaker: Yeah, it's so amazing.
Speaker: You know what it does?
Speaker: It feels the art style feels very much like home movies.
Speaker: Uh-huh.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: This is ridiculous.
Speaker: This looks fun.
Speaker: This looks like a lot of fun.
Speaker: It's very fun.
Speaker: It's very good for the Steam Deck.
Speaker: It's not verified yet on Steam Deck, but it works quite well on the Steam Deck.
Speaker: And it's been a blast.
Speaker: Basically, I'll just pick it up at night and I'll play...
Speaker: through a level it's not easy you know you have to you have to work out how you're getting through the level and all that stuff um and i'll just you know play one level a night and set it aside but it's it's a it's a good time i'm enjoying pizza tower so far this is pretty ridiculous i like it
Speaker: And one other thing, I'm not playing it, but as of recording this episode, Returnal just came out on Steam.
Speaker: I saw that, yes.
Speaker: And Returnal is one of my...
Speaker: It was one of my favorite games the year it came out.
Speaker: Honestly, it might be one of my favorite games of all time.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: It's it's worth checking out.
Speaker: I mean, it's it's going to sticker shock because it's it's priced at 60 bucks, which is a lot for a Steam game.
Speaker: But it's it's only because it's like Sony, you know, it was a it was a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Speaker: And whenever Sony like moves one of their exclusive games onto PC, they're like, well, you're going to pay for the same amount for it.
Speaker: I don't give a shit.
Speaker: You're paying, you're paying what we say.
Speaker: So yeah, that's, that's a little shout out to Returnal.
Speaker: Go check it out.
Speaker: If you are interested in a roguelike bullet hell that has a very sad, sad, horror, existential dread mystery story.
Speaker: Love it.
Speaker: Love it.
Speaker: Love it.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: I don't know if it's tonight's episode.
Speaker: King's Quest.
Speaker: King's Quest, Floating Castle.
Speaker: Down the toilet.
Speaker: It took a while.
Speaker: That took a while to land.
Speaker: You got some air on that one.
Speaker: That's just magic, man.
Speaker: Basic losery shit.
