Hey there guys, I'm Suppy Stuff and this is Bobby. My mouth's on fire. It is on fire. We are in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We just got done having Penang Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. It kind of lit you up a little bit.

Culinary Adventures

00:00:17
Speaker
Hands down, the best thing I've had here.
00:00:22
Speaker
What's going on? I don't know. And Dan's not the best thing I've had here and the spiciest thing I've had here. The spiciest. We love this place. It's actually right across from the hotel. Hold up. You know, that's a cool thing.
00:00:39
Speaker
Well, take people on the adventure. See, tell them what's going on. I think it's hard to see what's going on. It was a scouting report.

Embracing New Experiences

00:00:48
Speaker
Anyways, we're in this really cool little local spot. You can see the menu behind us. Oh my gosh, we're getting out there. We're tasting some stuff. I'm proud of you for getting out of your comfort zone on food. You're not a real, you know, you're spicy. No offense.
00:01:07
Speaker
but you don't eat a whole lot of spicy food and you cranked it up. You went totally local. I'm totally defenseless because I actually do try everything. We tried bugs last night. You know, Bob ate two crickets and I ate a silkworm and some country worm. I'm not sure what it was. The silkworm was crispy. I will say I'm done eating worms for a touch. That was a check in the box, kind of a bucket list item, if you will.
00:01:32
Speaker
That was really on your bucket list? No, it wasn't on my bucket list. It was one and done kind of list. No, I'm with you. We didn't do a scorpion. We saw scorpions. They kind of freaked me out a little bit.

Encouragement to Explore

00:01:43
Speaker
Yeah. But if you're, well, for one, I like to push people
00:01:48
Speaker
Get out of wherever you're comfortable and travel somewhere. Get out of wherever you're at now. Get out now. Pause this video. Get out. Now, if you travel somewhere that you feel a little bit like out of your comfort zone, get into the local culture. We're doing a, it's kind of an organized trip, which has been great. Local guide that helps steer us towards food selections and historical spots. Yeah. That kind of stuff.
00:02:15
Speaker
It's been nice. You choose your

Solo vs Group Travel

adventure. You can go with a group like AHI. We also have done groups through other companies as well. Oh my God. Right. Like my heart is racing. You eat one of those? No, but if you did, Buddha bless you. The other challenge
00:02:34
Speaker
Boral surgeon, periodontist, toothache, right here. Had a tooth, give me some challenges, had to look that before I left. Anyways, lighten up, spicy foods and temperatures lighten me up. So what I was saying is you can get out and go and travel, you can do
00:02:51
Speaker
with just solo travel, which has a lot of benefits from a meditation perspective and a personal fulfillment. But you can also go with a best friend, a spouse, a significant other. You can go with a family member. Get a parent out and go travel with them or have a spouse go backpacking across wherever. You can go in a group. If you don't have people to go with, that's kind of part of group travel. And they find people that also want to travel and put you guys, I know, put you guys in the same
00:03:20
Speaker
kind of bushel like we had here. Did you say bushel? Bushel of people. Is it a bushel? Is it a gaggle? Stop eating those. I know. It's just... I'm still recovering. Yeah. Okay. But that's okay. That's part of the enjoyment. You have bland stuff. But the idea is... Don't have bland stuff. The idea is get out and see the world. It's okay if it's messy, if it's not planned out very well, and it's okay to be questioned by others.
00:03:44
Speaker
And don't delay it. So many people, they put things on the bucket list, they never get ticked off or taken out of the bucket list.
00:03:53
Speaker
Do it when you're young. We found that with Peru. That was a physical exertion kind of thing. It was nice to see, though, a lot of people on that trip were younger and they were less than 30 years old. And so it was nice to see people getting out and finding some authentic experiences early in life. Quite frankly, I think the younger generation do a little bit of a better job than people in my generation.
00:04:19
Speaker
that just say, okay, someday, why don't I work and work and we're gonna do all this stuff? Part of the reason I'm emphasizing travel right now is because of my parents and they traveled the United States and I wanted to see beyond my back door.
00:04:35
Speaker
No. I came out wrong. I don't know, maybe not. If we knew how to edit that, we could edit it out.

Beyond the Tourist Path

00:04:41
Speaker
Please, get outside your comfort zone. If you go to a place, get away from the hotel. We had a decision to eat. You know, no offense. You wanted to sit in the hotel, happy hour, bar.
00:04:52
Speaker
No, I wanted a coffee from the street, so I had to drag Bob out of the hotel to do it. And then it wasn't open. It was closed. And then so now we're here, which actually was a happy accident. We enjoyed the sunset just now. You're enjoying the sunset with us, technically. We got the moon up,

Farewell to Chiang Mai

all that stuff. And this is our last night in Chiang Mai. Last night in Chiang Mai. We'll be in Bangkok tomorrow. Yeah. Take the adventure. Get it off your bucket list. Either do it or take it out. Throw it out of the list. All right, guys. Cheers.
00:05:27
Speaker
There we go. And my mouth's on fire.
