Speaker: Since I became a mother, i know what it means to feel lost. But I also know what it means to truly feel found. Since I became a mother, I notice every mother who walks into a room.

Speaker: I see the invisible load she carries with her to work and back home to the grocery store and on and on and on. Since I became a mother, i know what it feels like to feel like you're always failing somewhere.

Speaker: To know winning in your career means losing something else, something precious even, even if it's only one bedtime story. Only as if I won't look back on every bedtime story like the most precious moments of my life.

Speaker: Since I became a mother, a working mother, a stay-at-home mother, a breastfeeding mother, i notice how dads are always just dads, not working dads, not stay-at-home dads.

Speaker: Since I became a mother, i think about all the mothers all the time. And that's why I made this podcast. I'm Taylor Rae Roman and becoming a mother changed almost everything about me.

Speaker: My body, my relationships, my ambition, my friendships, the way I work, the way i move through the world, and honestly, the way I understand myself. And no matter how much I prepared for having a baby, i don't think I was prepared for just how much I would change too.

Speaker: So I created Since I Became a Mother, a podcast about the things motherhood changes, the things no one warns you about, and where we figure out who we are becoming together.

Speaker: Every week, I'll be sitting down with experts, mothers, and women I admire to have honest conversations about things so many of us are worrying about and trying to figure out on our own.

Speaker: We're talking breastfeeding and baby sleep, postpartum bodies and pelvic floors, mental health and identity, going back to work, marriage and resentment, friendship breakups, IVF, mom guilt, and all of the complicated, beautiful and exhausting parts in between.

Speaker: i hope this podcast helps you feel less alone. Before I was a mother, i barely noticed mothers. And now, they're all I see. I see you.
