Introduction to Thrills, Chills, and Spills
00:00:08
Speaker
Hey, everybody. Welcome back to Thrills, Chills, and Spills, where we spill the tea on all things theme park special events and especially spooky season. I am Kelly.
00:00:19
Speaker
I'm Joey. I'm Tyler. And I'm Rafa. And we have a jam-packed episode. We're back to a normal episode today. We are, of course, going to cover some spills first, but we have a lot of um park trips to review, including a trip that we were recently all on together. We have... um some Horror Unleashed um details to cover and some reviews. And then we will also talk about HHN's spec map at the end of the episode. So stay tuned for all of that.
Controversies and Debates: Conformity Gate and Stranger Things Finale
00:00:53
Speaker
um Let's start with Tyler's spill because we can tie it back to our last episode if you listen to it. Yeah. um If you guys didn't get enough of Conformity Gate last week, then I can talk about it some more right now.
00:01:10
Speaker
No, I don't have too much to add. I just want to say it's very frustrating that the two extremes are that either they are bad writers or we're still getting another episode. Which, by the way, today is the 13th and there's still people that think there is a new episode coming out soon. Yeah.
00:01:31
Speaker
But it's like, why can't people just see all the clues that they gave us, all the Easter eggs, whatever you want to call them, and just be happy that the ending is not what we expected, but that there's not another ending. like People just aren't they aren't getting it, and I don't understand why. to me, it's very clear what the ending was supposed to be. It was supposed to be that Vecna won,
00:01:58
Speaker
that we are seeing it from the the flayed point of view of Mike Wheeler. That's how I interpret the entire ending. And people are just like either, oh, it was so such a happy ending, blah, blah, blah. They weren't creative with it They didn't do this with it.
00:02:15
Speaker
And, or they're seeing these things, these Easter eggs, and they still think there's another episode coming. Somebody was like, oh, well, blah, blah, blah, says 2031. You think we're getting an episode in 2031? Are you crazy?
00:02:31
Speaker
i think people are just not willing to accept that the show is over. And they don't want to accept that they didn't like the ending. I feel like you think it's just that. But the people that didn't like the ending aren't,
00:02:45
Speaker
like getting into the deepness of it, I feel like. I don't know. I think this came from people just being very disappointed in the finale. That's, don't that's what I think. I mean, there were a lot of clues and everything, and I'm not like a huge conformity gate guy, like when it comes to the theory and everything, but I mean... There were definitely Easter eggs. I will give it that. Yeah, no, absolutely.
00:03:10
Speaker
Right. I mean, there's there's really no disputing that in my opinion, but... I don't know. Just saying the Duffer brothers and all the writers are just terrible writers is just insane to me how anybody could think that.
00:03:23
Speaker
Yeah. I think it's just time to move on. Yeah.
Airline Woes: Frontier and Budget Airlines
00:03:29
Speaker
With that being said, I guess yesterday the the like making of episode dropped or whatever. i haven't seen it yet. Did any of you guys watch it yet?
00:03:37
Speaker
I haven't watched it yet. I watched the first 20 minutes like 20 minutes ago. Oh, okay. Okay. All right. Well, that's that. I'm sure it will eventually fizzle out.
00:03:49
Speaker
In 2013. Joey, did you hate it or did you love it? Did you like it? we didn't hear your thoughts on on Stranger Things. oh yeah, i wasn't even there. um i enjoyed it. i thought it worked.
00:04:00
Speaker
um I thought it like the falling action was a little bit long for me because we hit the climax and then there was like a full hour left afterwards. And i don't know if it really actually needed all of that.
00:04:14
Speaker
But I get they were trying to have like emotional tie offs to some of the characters and such. And i think I saw some like negativity about the rooftop scene and I didn't have a problem with that.
00:04:27
Speaker
um I also don't have a problem with the sort of, you know, ambiguous ending with Eleven. um Yeah, ah you know, obviously it was kind of in their heads and they were kind of imagining the future. Yeah.
00:04:41
Speaker
So, yeah, I mean, I I had some issues with this season, but I thought they actually landed the ship pretty well. All things considered, um it could have gone, i don't know, in a completely different direction, but I really didn't expect a lot of death or anything. So, yeah, it's about what I expected. And I just looked it up and it's an 8.6 out of 10 on IMDb. So, you know, it's not like a lot of people hated this. I think it's like a vocal minority that's going crazy on social media.
00:05:08
Speaker
That's a good point. The most negative voices are always the loudest. so Always. Totally. Always. All right. What do you have for your spill, Joey? ah So um we'll speak about this more in a bit. But this past weekend was Viva Las Wobble in Las Vegas for Buzz Bars. And um I live on the East Coast. And so there is a three hour time change between where I am and Vegas.
00:05:35
Speaker
And that time change sucked. It was terrible. I don't understand. So what, why it was like so impactful to me, but, and maybe it's just because like the first night that we were there on the Thursday night, I definitely did not go to bed early enough, but Regardless, I just felt it hitting me like just being so exhausted so early every day that we are out there. And I almost feel that that time change, for whatever reason, at least on this trip, was worse than a European time change. I was like going to say that I do better going to Europe than I do going to like the West Coast, even though it's half of the time change. I'm tired at 3
00:06:17
Speaker
Yeah. And I've even like broken the rules in Europe and taken a nap once I got there. And that actually helped me. And I was like so set and solid to go. Like, so I don't know what it is about going backwards three hours, but I do not like it.
00:06:32
Speaker
Agreed. All right, my spill is actually an award. And the award is for world's shittiest airline. And it goes to Frontier Airlines, okay?
00:06:46
Speaker
Let me tell you why. This piece of trash airline has failed me time and time again. And it's really on me at this point for continuing to book with them to try and save myself money.
00:06:58
Speaker
But I have had numerous flights canceled at the last minute. I have had bags that fit clearly in their little personal item shimmy majig get charged.
00:07:11
Speaker
And i have had my ass go numb multiple times from their shitty plastic seats that I'm sitting on. OK, this airline is a joke. The fact that they're able to treat people the way they do at the gate every freaking time I'm taking a frontier flight. I am just aghast at at how the customer service is like I have nothing positive to say about these airplanes other than the temperature inside of them is adequate for me.
00:07:42
Speaker
That's about it. i I have been canceled arriving to an airport before where I had to then book another flight. This is on me. I do stupid travel. I understand this. But when I have to travel and take a red eye and go to work the next morning and you cancel the flight for no apparent reason, the plane's already there, there's no bad weather, and then I have to book and a flight on the spot that's four times more expensive, that pisses me off.
00:08:12
Speaker
And then when I am taking a trip, which you'll hear about later, to Disney World for one day, which was a partial gift for my parents, and I find out hours before our trip that the flight no longer exists and I have to do all kinds of crazy stuff to make this trip happen, I think I'm officially done with Frontier Airlines. Yeah.
00:08:36
Speaker
I'm done. Sorry, Nate, and anyone else who loves Frontier Airlines. I hate that piece of trash. Let's see if it lasts. Yeah. I mean, I can't love nor hate Frontier because every flight that I've booked with them, have they've canceled the flight like a month in advance or so. so I've never flown with them. At least you get time. Right. It's just a schedule change. I don't know you've had the same issue, but like they don't.
00:09:01
Speaker
Like I didn't get any notification that they had canceled our flights until I would go back to the app, like out of curiosity and just say, like oh, let me see if there's been any changes to the flight. And then it just wasn't there. And like I looked up like everything. you know Terrible communication. Yeah. And they don't they don't say anything anywhere unless like you really, really look into it.
00:09:18
Speaker
So I found out that my flight was canceled by going into the app and also by checking FlightAware. OK, I found out at 4.30 p.m. Disney the following day via text message from Frontier that my flight was canceled.
00:09:41
Speaker
So a day later, basically a day later. oh your flight on yesterday was canceled. helpful amazing thank you thank you so much frontier we love ulcc so i'm the aviation person here and this is like the same category that allegiant and spirit are in they all have different types of networks but I mean, the problem with them is that they'll give you a good fare.
00:10:06
Speaker
You know, they'll give you a nice cheap fare. But because of the way that their network is built, they don't have a lot of ability to provide additional coverage. And they also are operating with like the thinnest, you know, ah costs that they possibly can. So that means that they don't have as many reserves as the mainline, you know, the major airlines do.
00:10:28
Speaker
They don't have as many spare aircraft and they don't have the ability to like reposition aircraft or move crews around um as flexibly as some of the major airlines do. And so in those situations, like it literally takes one thing to go wrong and the flight is canceled. Whereas with some of the majors, sometimes it takes two to three things to go wrong before the flight gets canceled. So that's kind of the game you're playing with those with those characters. I will say i will take Allegiant 500 times over Spirit or Frontier and Spirit has now surpassed Frontier.
00:11:00
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. and I've never had a problem with Spirit or Allegiant. Well, no, I've had one problem with Allegiant, but I've never had a problem with Spirit. But Frontier, I know one of the issues they had not related to their network is they were incentivizing gate agents with a $10 kickback every time they make you pay for
Trip Reports: Wild Adventures and Family Cruise
00:11:22
Speaker
your carry-on or your personal item or whatever because it doesn't fit.
00:11:26
Speaker
They were getting a $10 kickback from that $50 charge. fifty dollars charge yeah What are they going to happen with that? Gate agents started making up fake sizes saying, oh, it doesn't fit when it obviously does just because they want that extra $10. How they think that's an acceptable customer service model is crazy to me.
00:11:44
Speaker
Or they just don't care. Yeah, they don't care because that's how they make money. you know if they don't If you sneak your oversized bags through, they're not making the money that they feel that they deserve to make. so yeah It's a weird business model, but there it is Budget Airlines be Budget Airlines. and I'm all first for budgeting, ah but not when it comes to shitty Frontier. Frontier Airlines is trash. okay We're moving on We're going to move on to our thrills section.
00:12:15
Speaker
First, Joey, tell us about, um it was probably like a month ago at this point, but you went to Wild Adventures. Yeah, so December 20th, kind of closing out the end of um the winter slash Christmas season. I did eventually make it out to Wild Adventures um after their initial press day got canceled.
00:12:37
Speaker
um So shout out to them for providing comp tickets. That was really nice of them. And they also provided a gift basket when I got there. I got like a mug and an ornament and stuff. um So that was cool. Nice. And Brayden also came with me. So shout out to Brayden for um coming to hang out at Wild Adventures.
00:12:54
Speaker
What I did not know and became apparent as soon as we arrived from the website, it kind of looked like the roller coasters would not be running at all. And it was just kind of the holiday overlay and shows and lights. However, all of the roller coasters there were running, um which was pretty cool.
00:13:09
Speaker
So Brayden was able to get all of the credits, which is awesome. Nice. um They, you know, this is a Hershend Park. I know that people like to kind of denigrate it considering the coaster lineup, but I think the park itself is nicer than people realize, especially if you haven't been there. You just kind of have an idea of what it might be, but it it's definitely not, you know...
00:13:32
Speaker
Dollywood or Silver Dollar, Silver Dollar City level. um But it does have those Hurston touches that you would come to expect. um So it does have, you know, nice themed areas that has the animal exhibits there. It's kind of like halfway a zoo.
00:13:48
Speaker
Um, and their Christmas event is, is very well executed. I have to say, um, I was surprised by how many lights there were and how many different features there were with the lights. Like they actually sort of like Christmas town at a BGW, they had different areas with different types of lights. So like this one was the forest and there were all of these hanging things. And then they had a big, archway of lights and a different section. And um they had the big Christmas tree at the front.
00:14:16
Speaker
um They had a super cool thing. So there's usually this wildlife trail that you kind of walk in through the woods. um And because it's so dark back there, they did a lot of lights in the forest while you're walking on this pathway. And they had lasers and like animated lights in there that looked really, really cool as you were going through. was kind of trippy.
00:14:35
Speaker
They had one show that we saw. We kind of watched their little Christmas tree lighting. It was kind of corny and ah way too early for a lighting because it was bright out. So yeah that happened. um And then we watched their main show, which was ah like a nativity ah themed show.
00:14:52
Speaker
And the budget was not there for the set, unfortunately. But I have to say the performers were like shockingly talented. Like the vocals were really good. And I wasn't expecting that after seeing this set, I was like, oh, and then I was like, wait a minute, these people are like really good. um And I kind of hope that in the future they get a little more budget for that show to make it look prettier because they were they were pretty good.
00:15:17
Speaker
Um, i don't really have much else to say about it, except that honestly, i would recommend going to Wild Adventures at this time during their their winter event, because if you've never been there before, you'll get all of the coasters since they are running. And I was told that, you know, barring any like crazy, crazy weather, um they will all be running because,
00:15:40
Speaker
ah This park is down in Valdosta, which is essentially Florida. It's super close to Florida. So the weather there is pretty mild um during the the winter season. And so they are able to typically run the coasters through the whole season.
00:15:53
Speaker
um And then so you get the coasters and then you also get the park like in a really um beautiful setting, like with all of these lights that are up that normally aren't there. um I thought it was really well done.
00:16:05
Speaker
Cool. Was this a French beer of it? Say again? Was this their first year? um No, that it's actually been running for a couple years now. I'm not entirely sure how many.
00:16:16
Speaker
um It's the first that I'd heard of it. I didn't even know they were open for a winter event. So it it might be relatively new, but it's not their first year. Yeah, um I definitely will consider. I haven't been there yet. So it's one of the remaining parks I have with the most creds left. So I'll keep that in mind because I'm all for a warm weekend in the middle of the cold.
00:16:36
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Like it wasn't, you know, it wasn't warm, I would say. You definitely could have gotten a warm weekend, but the weekend we went wasn't. um But it wasn't uncomfortable by any means. It wasn't freezing.
00:16:48
Speaker
It wasn't Minneapolis. and No, it was not at Minneapolis level by any means. Not at all. cool Oh, and then I did want to mention, because this was pretty cool. um They did have another show.
00:17:01
Speaker
At the end of the night, they did a um drone show kind of over their lake. And that was actually pretty cool and well done. um i was kind of surprised they even had something like that ah at a park of that size. So that was neat to see.
00:17:15
Speaker
Nice. Tyler, what have you been up to? i went on a cruise to Mexico with my family. we ah we started in well We started in San Diego, did a couple days there, and then drove up to Los Angeles, which is where the cruise went from. It was ah the Norwegian Bliss ship.
00:17:34
Speaker
And I hadn't done a cruise since I was like, I don't know, maybe 11 or 12. We did a Disney cruise. So I really't really wasn't sure what to expect. um I didn't think I would like it that much, honestly.
00:17:47
Speaker
i was kind of expecting like... just like a gluttonous, just germy cesspool sort of, but it was actually really fun.
00:17:59
Speaker
um We stopped in, there were three ports. It was seven day cruise. We went to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. So those are three cities on the the Western coast of Mexico. They're like Baja California area.
00:18:15
Speaker
um So Cabo, I've heard a lot about Cabo, but actually that was my least favorite, surprisingly. it was very pretty, but... There's no actual dock for cruise ships.
00:18:28
Speaker
It's called a tendering port. So what you do is you, they just put the anchor down in the middle of the the bay basically. And then they have these tenders, these boats that just go back and forth all day long. So we were supposed to be able to get off, I think at 11 and it was after one by the time we finally made it to shore.
00:18:47
Speaker
So we really just were able to walk around and we got lunch and then I saw like one thing I wanted to see close to town and then got back on the ship. It's kind of crazy. And then there's, that was the worst as far as people trying to sell things to you.
00:19:02
Speaker
As soon as you get there, just everybody coming up to you won't leave you alone trying to sell whatever piece of crap they have. um And it's not even like good homemade Mexican things. It's just like made in China.
00:19:17
Speaker
stuff that nobody wants. Like one guy, he had a shirt and he was trying to sell it. It said, my brother is gay on it. Who's going to talk to that? i don't even know if he knew what it said.
00:19:30
Speaker
it was just trying to get money out of it. Yeah, it was ridiculous. um So you really just can't relax there. Then we went over to Mazatlan, which I had never even heard of Mazatlan before this cruise.
00:19:41
Speaker
um That was definitely more of a... more of a Mexican destination, I guess. Like there weren't as many foreigners there. It was mostly Mexicans going there for their a resort vacation. But yeah, it felt sort of like a small city with very minor touristy feels. Went on an awesome hike up to a lighthouse.
00:20:03
Speaker
Saw a great view of the water and of the city. So um that was really awesome. And then we went down Puerto Vallarta, which that feels just like...
00:20:14
Speaker
giant but very nice resort city. So it's it's very touristy, but it's classy touristy, I would say. So many nice resorts, so many great restaurants, nobody like trying to shove things down your throat, trying to sell you stupid trinkets.
00:20:33
Speaker
I think that would be a great buzz bar stumble once they open that park up there. which I think is supposed to open later this year with a couple coasters. So yeah, overall, was really good trip. Good spending a week with my family. I don't get to do that super often anymore.
00:20:51
Speaker
um My almost 90-year-old grandparents went with us, so it was great to have a trip with them and see that side of Mexico that I've never been to before. Anything that stood out about Norwegian like as a cruise line on the boat? Yeah.
00:21:06
Speaker
No, um I mean, Disney's the only one I have to compare it to, and that was 15 years ago, so I'm not even sure that that's you know a good comparison. But the food was surprisingly good.
00:21:20
Speaker
I don't know if that compares to other cruise lines, but I was expecting even the buffet was was very quality. We went there for breakfast every day, dinner one night, and then lunch a couple of times.
00:21:33
Speaker
um The main dining rooms are kind of where it shines, though. it's sort of They try to be fancy, but also like cruise fancy, so you know you don you don't have to dress up, but they still cater to you very well.
00:21:46
Speaker
People that have done cruises before know this, but I didn't realize, but like 75% of workers are from the Philippines. Did you guys that? Yeah, that's very common. Yeah. It's crazy how long they're on the ship for.
00:21:59
Speaker
Yeah, they do. So they the lowest contract they do is four months. And then the highest, I think they said, is 10 months. So I can't imagine being on that ship for 10 months and you're doing the same thing over and over, just one week at a time.
00:22:15
Speaker
That's crazy. isn But yeah, the service was great. Every single worker on there was awesome. I saw, i think, three American workers on the entire ship, which was crazy. But I guess it makes sense. I'm sure the wages aren't that great.
00:22:32
Speaker
I've never been on a cruise. What? I love cruising. We got to do a BuzzFeed at some point. Please. talked to you about this already, Kelly. But I do feel like you and the kids would love a Disney cruise.
00:22:46
Speaker
Yeah, I'm thinking about it, but I don't know. I feel like there's just like, I like to have the freedom to do what I want on my own schedule.
00:22:57
Speaker
And I know there's a lot to do on the ship, but I just like can't get over the thought of being contained. I feel like a lot of people think that way i like before going in, but then when they do, it's not bad. Yeah, once you get on the ship, you forget that you're even on a ship until you like look out the window. it's There's just so much to do that you don't even realize.
00:23:18
Speaker
I looked up your ship and it's not like the biggest one in the world, but it was it was a big like a big ship. That's the thing. like You don't realize how big they are. It's like an entire city. Yeah. It's a decent sized one. um I will say, I think for me to enjoy it, I do need good port locations.
00:23:35
Speaker
Like my mom, she just likes cruising in general. She loves the sea days and those were not for me. Like she did one. It was like... yeah four days at sea and then like two days in a port and then four days back. And I'm like, no, I could not do that. I want to get off and go see interesting places and do fun things.
00:23:56
Speaker
Same. Yeah. I might be with your mom because I love the sea days. Y'all just want to sit on the recliners at the pool with a drink. It's so chill. Like, I don't know. i I love it. But I feel like it depends also on like, um like the first time that I went on a cruise, we were in like interior rooms where you cannot see anything outside. You have no window or anything. And I don't know. i feel like I wasn't a big fan. And then it wasn't until I started getting rooms with like a balcony. I'm like, OK, like it's worth the extra charge. Like I like being able to see outside. yeah And like, you what time it is or if the sun's out or not.
00:24:30
Speaker
At the very least, you need a porthole, but we had a balcony and we would leave it open at night so you can hear the waves and falls. Yeah. Oh, it's the best. Yeah, that sounds wonderful. I'm a huge fan of the ocean and water, so I don't know why I've like made this ick to cruise in my brain, but it's been there my whole life, so I'm going to have to work really hard to get rid of it if I'm going to try, but I don't know why I wouldn't like it. like Yeah, I mean... yeah I think part of it is because it's supposedly Jeremy and I hate that I got back and was immediately sick and I couldn't disprove that theory.
00:25:05
Speaker
oh no. I'm telling you, everyone gets sick on cruises. Every single person ever. To be fair, we've had like a million super spreader buzz bars events. but Sorry, guilty. I will say there was one cruise where this wasn't,
00:25:24
Speaker
This wasn't really a germ thing. um it was more of a fart thing. um So we were on ah on one of the elevators and this guy, like I go into the elevator with Shay and this guy was just in there by himself. We just say, hey, how's it going? Whatever. You know quick little hello.
00:25:39
Speaker
And then out of nowhere, the, you know, the doors close and he just goes cruise farts and lets it rip. And he thought it was the funniest thing and Shay and I are gagging inside the elevator. was like, this guy cannot be serious now.
00:25:55
Speaker
Throw him over. That's so disgusting. I was like, i don't know what kind of joke that is, but that is freaking disgusting. Like, what are you doing? And we had to like wait until we got like, think was's going up like five levels or six levels. No, would report him.
00:26:09
Speaker
There's got to be somebody taking care of you illegal behaviors on a cruise ship and that should be one. And that is illegal behavior. International waters, there is no law. Well, I'm going to make that one. That's crazy. Like, how are you going say cruise farts and then just let it rip?
00:26:25
Speaker
That's disgusting. That's insane. ah All
Disney World Four Park Challenge
00:26:30
Speaker
right. Well, i um have a trip report as well. i um along with Tom and my parents, went to Disney World and did the Fork Park Challenge for one day. it was the Saturday following Christmas. So um if you look at any Disney World park calendars or crowd calendar, um like, estimates, It is one of the busiest days at Walt Disney World in the whole year.
00:27:00
Speaker
it just happened, so happened that that was a weekend that we didn't have any plans and we had free time and the kids were with their dad. So I said, let's do it. If I am a real Disney mom, Disney adult,
00:27:17
Speaker
I should be able to complete the four park challenge on one of the busiest days of the calendar. So that's what I set out to do. And after a terrible 12 hours of travel, which included so much anxiety, so much reworking, so much driving and zero sleep, we arrived at Disney World. My parents and I traveled together. Tom had been down there the whole day prior. he was like at Universal doing things. um having a great time, you know, sleeping, getting ready for the day.
00:27:51
Speaker
um I'm sure most of you know this, but um Disney's ah like quick, you are fast. It used to be fast pass services now called lightning lane. So I had already pre booked all of my lightning lanes. There's two ways to go about lightning lane. You can get um like the regular multi use lightning lane, which is the one that most people get that give you three selections prior to your trip. of rides and then once you use one you can book another one um you do have to book all three of those at your first park that you're going to for the day but after you use one you can move them to any other park if you have a park hopper and then they also have single use lightning lanes that are for like the
00:28:35
Speaker
Most popular attractions at each park and you have to pay for those separately and choose the times separately, but you could only use two of them a day. So I did have to strategize a little bit going into this four park challenge.

We chose the order of our parks to be Animal Kingdom first because it opened earliest. It had a 730 open on that day And then we knew we wanted to spend the most time at Epcot and put that around dinner time. So we did Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and finished at Magic Kingdom because they were actually open until 11pm that night.
00:29:13
Speaker
without the special Christmas event. So that event ended on Christmas. So that is how we got a little bit lucky in all of this. um Our plan was to rope drop Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom.
00:29:27
Speaker
We did not use that as are one of our single-use lightning lanes. The ones that we chose to book were Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios and Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.
00:29:38
Speaker
um guardians was like a no-brainer that's like one of our favorite attractions in disney and then my parents really loved star wars so um we chose that we were between that and tron at magic kingdom for the single uses that we wanted to use so we were going to rope drop play to passage we arrived tom was there he wrote it we arrived at nine o'clock because of the travel difficulties. um So we missed that and my mom was distraught because that is like one of her favorite attractions and she doesn't ride half of the rides. She gets like weird about motion stuff. So how she tolerates Flight of Passage, I don't know, but she loves that thing and she was very upset she didn't ride it. But
00:30:23
Speaker
There are all different definitions on the internet of what the four park challenge actually means. The most commonly quoted one is you have to visit all four parks.
00:30:34
Speaker
You have to ride one attraction at each park. You have to take one iconic photo at each park and you have to have one like food or beverage item from each park. I was like, girl, that'd be too easy. Even on the busiest day of the year. Oh, and you have to take all three methods of Disney transportation. So bus, skyliner, and monorail.
00:30:56
Speaker
There's like boats too, but you don't, that's not included in the challenge. i was like, that's too easy. We're going to ride more than one thing at each park, please. So we to Animal Kingdom. We immediately had our first snack from Creature comfort which is creature Comforts, which is basically a Starbucks in Animal Kingdom.
00:31:16
Speaker
um But I really wanted to focus on, because I go to Disney so often, i have a lot of their treats and snacks. I wanted to focus on like the special holiday things that they offered. So I had heard about this um like peppermint brownie situation at Creature Comforts. So Tom actually picked those up for all of us and some cinnamon rolls before we even got there. And we had that while we waited in line for our first lightning lane, which was Kilimanjaro safaris.
00:31:42
Speaker
Um, This, I've always heard not to book Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing in the morning at Disney because the animals aren't out. I have never seen more animals on that ride than I've seen during this visit at nine o'clock in the morning.
00:31:57
Speaker
It was insane. I saw all of the lions, all of the hippos. I was about two feet away from a giraffe and it took every ounce of self-control to not touch this giraffe. Like I... Giraffes are my favorite animal. Everybody knows this. My parents are like, oh, my God, Kelly, look. And it was on my side of the vehicle.
00:32:15
Speaker
And they're like, please keep your arms inside the vehicle. And I was like holding my own hand in because I wanted to touch this giraffe so bad. But anyways, it was great. We then rode Dinosaur via Lightning Lane, and our third Lightning Lane was scheduled for Expedition Everest. We had to pick the three, you know, in Animal Kingdom, but we kept monitoring the queue time and decided to get rid of it, basically, right when we started using... um the Lightning Lanes to move more to later attractions at other parks in the day. So we did Dinosaur with Lightning Lane, rest in peace, that thing is about to close forever, so sad.
00:32:55
Speaker
And then we did Expedition Everest via single rider and waited only about 10 minutes. Then we took our iconic picture with the tree and we left Animal Kingdom. We were there for about a total of a little more than two hours and got all of that done. Um, we were leaving a little bit later than I had planned, but we got there later. So I knew it was going fine. We took the bus directly from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios, which, um, some resorts, some resorts, um, or some parks, I should say, don't have direct bus access from one park to another. Many of them, you have to go to resort and transfer to go to the park. But, um, Animal Kingdom does have a bus to Hollywood Studios, which was huge. So we saved some time doing that.
00:33:37
Speaker
Got there right before lunchtime. And we already had the single-use lightning lane for Rise the Resistance, but it wasn't until like three hours later. And we also snagged one for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway um just before that. So we decided our priority was Tower of Terror, which is everything to me. It's my favorite Disney World attraction above anything else.
00:34:05
Speaker
So we actually stood in the standby line for that. It was about an hour, just my dad and Tom and I, my mom does not ride. um Rode that. It was excellent. Got a really good drop sequence. Had some lunch, nothing special. Had like a hot dog at like a grab and go place that we could do quickly and then did...
00:34:25
Speaker
Minnie and Mickey's Runaway Railway um took a picture and finished with Rise of the Resistance. So only three attractions there as well. We tried to get a um lightning lane for Toy Story Mania because we really like that too, but we weren't able to get one. A lot of the times listed by that point were like later in the day. So we took the Skyliner to get our second transportation method to Epcot.
00:34:50
Speaker
um We spent the most time at this park. I think we were there for maybe like four, four to eight. um And we what did we do first? um I think we went right to test track.
00:35:05
Speaker
We didn't have a fast lane for a lightning lane for it. So we wanted to check out how long the queue was. The standby queue was pretty long. It was over an hour, but they did have single rider open. and They redid the queue with the most recent refurbishment. So I had no idea like how long the single rider line was. So we made a plan to like get in it, but spend no more than a half hour.
00:35:24
Speaker
and it was right at about 20 minutes that we got on. So it was worth it. um I do like this version of test track prior to ah better than the prior version version two but I still think the OG is my favorite, like the actual test vehicle situation. This one is about like,
00:35:43
Speaker
kind of like the future of vehicles and like AI and stuff. It was cool. Same ride, different, different theming. um Then we went over um and,
00:35:56
Speaker
Did our Guardians of the Galaxy ride. I still have not gotten conga, which is the only song that remains now for me. And it's become a thing. I've gotten all of the other songs multiple times. I got all of the songs one in a row the first five times I wrote it. So i was on a good streak, but I could not get conga.
00:36:16
Speaker
um It was really fun. My dad was cackling. I loved every second of it. um And then we it was Festival of the Holidays at Epcot um during the time we were there, which I had never been before. I'd never been to Disney World during the Christmas season, actually, even though it was after Christmas, they still had all their decor up, which was great. Each park has their own.
00:36:34
Speaker
Giant decorated Christmas tree, which was really cool. Like Animal Kingdom has like animal ornaments, like literal animal ornaments. And then Hollywood Studios had, you know, like classic Mickey and um like film type, you know, it was very well themed to each park. Epcot had like international ornaments, like they had the different countries represented on the tree.
00:36:55
Speaker
um We did stop at a couple of different food booths. I tried a like ham and cheese little slider from one that was rated highly when I had done my research prior, that was very good. And then I also had two little bowls of different Thanksgiving type dinners. One was in France and one was in America. that was basically just like if you think about the Wawa like turkey bowl it was like turkey and like mashed potatoes and stuffing and some like cranberry sauce basically like two different versions of a Thanksgiving dinner they were both delicious the France one had more onion in it like cooked onion it was really good I loved that one um while we were at Epcot we also did Soarin we had a lightning lane for that and
00:37:41
Speaker
Honestly, nothing beats that soundtrack. I am happy every time I ride that and it's so relaxing and nice. um And then we did Living with the Land, the Christmas version. This was like my most anticipated thing of the whole trip because everyone talks about it and apparently it can get a really, really long standby line. We didn't have a lightning lane, but the line was still only, it was listed at 25 minutes and we only waited 15. So it was great. And it was everything I hoped for. The Christmas lights in there were be beautiful. It was so well done. It is so good. I love living with the land at baseline, but this was like just next level amazing. And I'm glad we did it.
00:38:21
Speaker
Then we took the monorail to magic kingdom. My goal was to get there by eight 30 because they had the Christmas firework show, which I had never seen. and honestly, I was underwhelmed by them. We made it literally with one minute to go onto main street.
00:38:37
Speaker
And it was just classic Christmas songs with like, Great fireworks and great projections onto the castle, but just not even remotely close to the caliber of happily ever after. Nothing will ever be.
00:38:49
Speaker
But it was cool to see. um Got our snack there, which I got um from the ice cream parlor at the plaza. i got a gingerbread milkshake.
00:39:00
Speaker
which honestly i was not impressed. It tasted kind of just like a vanilla milkshake with like they sprinkled a little ginger in it. Like it, it wasn't what I expected, but I'm glad I tried it.
00:39:11
Speaker
Um, the only things we did there, ah were we rode pirates of the Caribbean, which we had a lightning lane for that. I got much earlier in the day. And then just Tom and I rode Tiana's Bayou adventure. Cause I had a lightning lane for that as well.
00:39:29
Speaker
Um, it was about nine o'clock at that point and the park was open two more hours, but everyone was dying from the lack of sleep. And I also had a migraine. So we bounced, we took our picture with the castle, completed the challenge. Obviously there we could have done more.
00:39:47
Speaker
um The four park challenge was really fun. Obviously I don't recommend it to anybody who doesn't go to Disney often because you're like not getting the full Disney experience. But if you go to Disney regularly, i think it's really fun. It's obviously able to be done if you plan it right, especially like I got it done easily on a very busy day. Now I did have extended hours and I did pay for lightning lane. Like I will admit, I always pay for lightning lane. I am not about to wait in those lines.
00:40:13
Speaker
But if you do it the right way, it's pretty easy to complete. It's fun. I'm glad I got to see the Christmas decor. Magic Kingdom Main Street was incredibly beautiful. And I was also really impressed by the decor at Hollywood Studios. I didn't see it at night, so I didn't see it all lit up. But there was a lot going on there and I would be interested to do their nighttime event Jollywood nights. um I would definitely recommend going during this time of the year. Don't be afraid of the crowds. Like you could still have a good time at Disney. I think if I did a regular Disney trip during this time, like one park per day or whatever, like you could still get everything done you want to, if you're willing to pay for
Viva Las Wobble Event and Golden Tiki Experience
00:40:50
Speaker
lightning lane. So it was fun despite being really tired.
00:40:55
Speaker
Would you do it again? Yeah. I would do the same travel. Yeah. I'll do anything for Disney. and she's like no stopp me Yeah, no, I was getting there. i didn't care how I figured it out.
00:41:13
Speaker
I need to go back. I don't think I've been since the loss of stumble actually. It's been a long time. I haven't been since I was, i don't know, plus 10 plus years. I think this is not okay. how to get Guardians.
00:41:30
Speaker
I'm already planning my summer trip. Yeah. Yeah. I guess I'll be budgeting for lightning lane at some point. It's worth it. It truly is. um But with that said, if anyone ever like wants advice on planning Disney, I really enjoy doing it like just for fun. So please ask me.
00:41:49
Speaker
um let's move on to Viva Las Wobble um so as Joey mentioned earlier we had a Buzzbars trip our first trip of the year um in Las Vegas this past weekend um we had a pretty jam-packed schedule of not much coasters but I think that made this event unique and it It was a really good time despite the time change and being tired. So we're just going to kind of run through some of the stuff that we did. Friday morning, we kind of all met up.
00:42:19
Speaker
Some people got there on Thursday, but most of us met up on Friday morning. a small group of us, including myself, went to get... $10 tattoos from a random place that Zach recommended. So they had like flash sheets of like hundreds of tattoos ranging from 10 to like a hundred bucks. And we all picked one or two and that was really fun. Like activity to to get to do together for people who like tattoos. um Some of us, it was, I think just Ryan maybe, but it was his first tattoo. So that was super fun. Yeah. Yeah.
00:42:51
Speaker
um Yeah, it was really cool. You were there, Rafa, even though you did not get a tattoo. was there for moral support. it was fun, though. They did it so fast. Like, it was so funny, like, how quickly they got through all of you guys.
00:43:05
Speaker
Yes. I mean, they were very simple tattoos, but even the turnover between us getting tattooed, like, the guy that did it, he did most of ours. He said that he does over 100 tattoos in a day.
00:43:17
Speaker
Like, that's insane. That is insane. I told you guys they're so cheap because they don't clean the needles in between. That's extra. I watched him open the needle. I am psycho about this. You know this about me. I don't like germs. I don't like germs.
00:43:32
Speaker
You had to pay extra for that. Sorry. Yeah. It didn't look like a bad spot. It was fine. It was totally fine. i got two tattoos and it was done under five minutes. It was great. So we did that. And then what did you do after that, Rafa?
00:43:48
Speaker
So um I got married. Well, technically, technically it was vow renewal. um ah Shay and I got married on the 31st. It was like a surprise. We didn't tell anybody that we were going to get married on the 31st of December.
00:44:05
Speaker
um And we figured that since we were going to do the Vegas stumble or wobble, that we would do a quick little Elvis wedding in the Little White Chapel. um So yeah, we did that while most of the group went to Meow Wolf.
00:44:20
Speaker
It was not too far um from where we were staying at, but we it was a quick, literally like a 15 to 20 minute ceremony. um and As much as we would have loved to have had more people join us, we were like, why are we going to pay more this is going to be a 15-minute thing? We were going to meet up with everybody afterwards anyway. But it was fun. They had us choose between either having chapel ceremony Or the tunnel of love ceremony, which we chose the tunnel of love, which basically you sit on a pink Cadillac and um and Elvis sings two songs to you and you're just awkwardly dancing on the Cadillac.
00:45:04
Speaker
um And yeah, it was a quick little thing, exchange vows. And you listen to him sing two songs and then that was it. Like, that's pretty much it. It was kind of funny because he kept emphasizing on like, oh, this, like, say this to your wife of nine days. Like, I'm sure he was expecting to say something like, oh, of like 10 years or something. But he was like, nine days. So he kept saying like, oh, your husband of nine days. He kept saying it over and over again. But so mind it was it was a fun little memory. um Very, very short, but it was a good time.
00:45:37
Speaker
Well, congrats. We're happy for you guys. Thank you. Do you want to, Joey, tell us about Meow Wolf? Sure. um So Meow Wolf in Las Vegas, first of all, Meow Wolf is a company that has various locations across the United States. um I believe their first location was in Santa Fe. Yeah. and They also have a Denver Dallas-Fort Worth, and they continue to open them.
00:46:05
Speaker
um The Las Vegas location is the second location. It was opened in Area 15, which is an entertainment district um off the strip in Las Vegas. um There are many different types of interactive and immersive experiences there.
00:46:22
Speaker
And it's now sectioned into two zones. So Meow Wolf is in Zone 1, which is the original zone. and Universal Horror are Unleashed, which we attended later, is in Zone 2, which is kind of at the north end of that complex.
00:46:34
Speaker
Meow Wolf is contained within the sort of main building of Area 15, which has a lot of things in it. However, Meow Wolf is definitely the biggest part of that building.
00:46:46
Speaker
building. It kind of has a nice central area with cool lighting and music. um it's It's a neat little area to to hang out in before you go into any of the experiences there. Meow Wolf describes itself as large scale, interactive and immersive art installations.
00:47:06
Speaker
This one is themed to Omega Mart, which is this kind of twisted, um satirical grocery store, i guess you would say. um And you can kind of see the grocery store before you even enter.
00:47:20
Speaker
um And you look at the products and they're kind of silly and fun um and weird. And then there are actually various ways to get out of the grocery store and enter, don't even know what you would call it, but this immersive, weird land.
00:47:38
Speaker
um I think, you know, there were people walking through freezers. there were You could like slide in between the shelves, um walk through a garden area. There were lots of different ways to get back there.
00:47:49
Speaker
um But once you did, it was like a multi-story. I think there were about three to four stories of... um immersion in there. um There's a bit of a storyline, um but it's not the easiest thing to follow in the world, at least for me.
00:48:04
Speaker
um It was just mostly the like fun of it was just exploring this space. um Lots of weird lighting and projection mapping and different um surfaces. It's hard to describe.
00:48:19
Speaker
um You kind of have to see it for yourself. um And there was kind of like a main area where you could sort of walk around and see large scale things. And then there were also areas in there that were segmented into rooms and the various rooms had different installations in there, like with lighting and sound effects and, um, different features. So yeah, it was, Like i yeah, I just enjoyed trying to walk around it and find all of the rooms and see what was in all of them and um try to explore every angle. There were like weird little places where there would be a one way door and it's like, how do we get through this door? And so we're searching around trying to figure out how to get through the door. um
00:49:01
Speaker
Eventually did find that. Yeah. But yeah, I think we spent about an hour 15. At least I did. I know that some people spend like two or three in there, which I could see doing that, especially if like you are chilling for part of it, because I did see some people just like chilling out. and you know, there's like some kind of ASMR aspects to it in certain places that are more chill than others. Yeah. I know that Meg was enjoying that. um So yeah, it, it, I probably wouldn't, I mean, I wouldn't repeat the same location for sure, but it was definitely interesting. What did you guys think?
00:49:36
Speaker
Have you ever, did you guys have Discovery Zone as a kid? Yes. Easy. So Discovery Zone is like a giant Chuck E. Cheese without the characters. It's just like the play area. Like there are multiple slides, like rolly things, like ball pits, like all kinds of like things you can climb on, which this was not that.
00:49:59
Speaker
But it was like the artistic, trippy adult version of that where I had anxiety the second we got out of the supermarket because I was like, how do I make sure I see everything?
00:50:10
Speaker
It was the same thing. I remember five-year-old me being like, how do I make sure I go down every slide? Because it's just like everywhere. So I'm immediately like ah like, which way do I go? and I need a map. I need a map. So I make sure I see everything. Yeah.
00:50:28
Speaker
i enjoyed that there were some sensory experiences in there, like some of the rooms. I think my favorite part was actually like the separate rooms and how they were like different.
00:50:39
Speaker
I appreciated that some of the areas were like kind of unique and twisted and creepy in a way. But it definitely wasn't like my kind of thing.
00:50:50
Speaker
Like I'm not, i love spooky stuff. You guys all know this. I love creative stuff, but I'm not a super like, like I'm not a person who's going to go to an art museum and like love it.
00:51:03
Speaker
So if you look at it from like an artistic standpoint, I'm like, okay, this is cool. I agree. I definitely wouldn't return to the same location if there was something completely different. Maybe I would try it again.
00:51:15
Speaker
It was fun. And it was fun, I think, because I was exploring with my friends, not because like I loved what it was. Like it wouldn't have been the same if you went by yourself. Yeah. I thought it was good. For me personally. I'm glad I went. I don't think I would go back.
00:51:32
Speaker
I agree. I don't think I fully get it. But also part of that's on me because I really didn't try to understand the storyline very much. And that's what you have to do. You have to.
00:51:44
Speaker
basically dig to try to understand the storyline. It is not apparent if you're just going to walk around and look at things. um I didn't even know there was one. Yeah. like Apparently you're supposed to talk to the workers and they'll sort of give you hints or point you in the right direction or whatever, but...
00:52:02
Speaker
um Yeah, visually, yeah it was very impressive. i really liked sort of the main projector room where it was projecting from the wall to the ground. And I just kind of stood in there for like five minutes just...
00:52:14
Speaker
watching it. um It was fun exploring. Some places felt sort of like, you know, a secret passageway or whatever, which was cool. The slide was closed, which was a bummer. I saw the slide from the bottom and i was excited to go down it. But then somebody said it wasn't even like complete. Like it just, yeah, it wasn't connected to the ground. was just an artistic installation. Yeah. I didn't even notice that, but I went up there to ride it and it was closed, but.
00:52:42
Speaker
um Yeah, I think if I had more time and actually dedicated myself to looking at the storyline, then I would like it more. But I'm still glad I went. Yeah, I just delved into the lore a little bit because I got on one of the computers in the sort of office looking room. And there was definitely lore about the corporation that owns Omega Mart and like testing and things of that nature that they were doing. And the CEO was kind of shady because I watched a video with like the CEO character in it. um I feel like there was definitely more that I could have gotten into. There was also like phone numbers everywhere that you could have called phones and listened to things. So Oh, cool. um Yeah, definitely kind of spent more time. like
00:53:22
Speaker
kind of Yeah, I didn't have the patience for any of that, nor did I know it existed. But i you know what I did do? I went to the attached bar and they had some snackies. And guess what I had? uncrustable baby. They did.
00:53:37
Speaker
I wasn't wondering where that was at. The picture that Deb said. was and cru She's like, what? I like was looking at the menu. I'm like reading, reading, reading. was the last thing on there. And I saw it and I said, do you guys really have Uncrustables? And the lady like looked at me. She's like, they're very popular. I said, yes.
00:53:56
Speaker
Not fried though. Not fried, but still delicious. I got grape, which I prefer. was great. so Tell us about Golden Tiki, which I absolutely loved.
00:54:07
Speaker
Yes, the Golden Tiki. So um I was on the Google before this trip and I found two different Tiki bars. One of them is the Golden Tiki and one of them is Frankie's, which Frankie is like sort of the original Tiki bar in Vegas. um But I liked the kind of idea of Golden Tiki better um because i I think it's a little bit more immersive.
00:54:28
Speaker
Um, so we basically, Buzz Bar is like reserved 75% of this back room at this place. Um, which was cool. You walk in the bar and there's like a waterfall in the foyer and, um and then you walk into the main bar and there's like a, a ceiling full of stars with fireworks going off. There's ah another waterfall in the corner, kind of the thatched tiki roofs, um, like the dim tiki lighting with the lamps, um,
00:54:55
Speaker
And then the back room that we were in was also kind of dark and they had shrunken heads and um some inappropriate pictures. In the bathroom. In the little poor bathrooms. The bathrooms also had some um adult aspects to them, which was entertaining. um It was, the whole space was a vibe. Like the lighting was, I wouldn't call it spooky, but it's like spooky adjacent. You know what i mean? Like yeah that type of lighting and that type of vibe is, is,
00:55:24
Speaker
It was incredible. I was not expecting that at all. We're walking up to like a Chinatown strip mall. okay Yeah, but I was like, wait a second. like Where are we right now? i trust i put I put my trust in Joey and he came through.
00:55:41
Speaker
I loved it. loved that stuff. It is super unassuming on the outside. The strip center just looks like a bunch of nothing. And then you get in and you're like, oh. Yeah, we pulled up in the Uber. i'm like, where are we right now? What's going on?
00:55:54
Speaker
Also, we happened to be there during happy hour, which was awesome because the normally $15 cocktails were $9. Hey-oh. And a bunch of the appetizers were, I have to say, like every appetizer I had was good. these Delicious food. Covered in honey. Oh my God. So good. um That chicken was good too. And the drinks were also really good. Like part of the reason I like a tiki bar is their cocktails are usually, first of all, strong. And second of all, like crafted well, like they're usually balanced. And all of the ones that I tried were like delicious. And they have lots of rum.
00:56:28
Speaker
yes they do. They do. It was good. It was like, ah I would say Bayou vibes is what I was getting. So not spooky, but just like you're in a Louisiana bayou or something. And then the little, ah yeah like the jazz singer, we there was live music at this tiki bar. Like how cool is that? Mm-hmm.
00:56:47
Speaker
It was so cool. the whole place is like call We walked in and Tyler's like, it smells like Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm like, oh my God, it truly did. The waterfall smelled just like it. And then they like called themselves like trashy Disney or something like that. And I was like, I'm here for this. yeah yeah that I think we all had different drinks from what I remember looking at, but they, I tried yours, Tyler. They were, I liked both mine and his they were delicious.
00:57:12
Speaker
And the food was great. Like you said. i don't even remember what I drank. ah look at them i look at Some other people there might not either. yeah We had a good time. The food was good though. The gyozas were really good. um what They had... um What else was it was it like it? was like a chicken thing.
00:57:33
Speaker
was like a sticky chicken. in It was so The sticky fingers or something it was called. yeah like that That was really good too. i also had sweet potato fries which were really good. They were so yummy. Um, we're going to put a little Easter egg a la TDR in here.
00:57:52
Speaker
They always want people to put, a like if they're listening to this point, put whatever emoji. If you are listening to this point, I'm going to give whoever puts this in our chat and discord first, a little prize.
00:58:04
Speaker
I want people to ask for the picture of the shrunken head to tell me whose head it looks like. This is wild. You guys, I'm going to show you, you can't say who it is.
00:58:16
Speaker
This one. Oh, no. Oh, yes. It is uncanny. It's disgusting. Tyler agrees. He saw it in real time.
00:58:26
Speaker
Yeah. Once you get closer up, though, it wasn't as uncanny. It wasn't. But from back there, yeah wild. Whoever asks for the picture first in Discord, you win a prize. I'll figure out what the prize is. Yeah. After Golden Tiki, we went to Horror Unleashed, which we're going to cover in our next section. But Saturday morning, what did we do? We did we did a hike I went and picked up a 15-passenger van for those that wanted to do the hike. um Unfortunately, not everybody made it to the hike.
00:59:01
Speaker
Dex and Kim, if you're listening to this, you were supposed to go hiking. You missed out. But anyways, we went up to Valley of Fire State Park, which is... Okay, well, allegedly it was 45 minutes away from Vegas. It was actually closer to like an hour 20, I think. I don't know how that discrepancy happened because we checked it like three times, but...
00:59:22
Speaker
and There were also various versions of the map on different maps. Like Google and Apple were the same. It was it was a little shady. Yeah, that was a little weird. But we got there. Let's see, we got there probably 9.30ish. So still pretty early. Parking lot wasn't very full.
00:59:41
Speaker
um But we did the White Domes and Fire Wave Loop Hike. So we originally planned for a little over three miles. We did cut a little bit at the end just for time.
00:59:55
Speaker
um So I think we said it was, what, 2.6? We did. we don' yeah um Yeah. So you kind of start at the top and then you go down and then you see the white domes ahead of you, which is just this giant, I guess, granite rock that just stands out from all the rest of the the bright orange red rock. um And then it just kind of loops you around up to the fire wave. And then the fire wave, to be fair, did not look as good in person as it did in photos. Yeah.
01:00:25
Speaker
But it was just this sort of um marbled rock between like white and red. And it just looked like the rock was on fire. I mean, it's called Valley of Fire State Park. But...
01:00:36
Speaker
Yeah, just the entire park is beautiful. Even the drive there before you even get to the park is incredible. um It's named that way, obviously, because the rock is just an extreme bright orange color and it stands out so much against everything else.
01:00:53
Speaker
And I wish I could tell you the geologic reason that that is, but I did not look it up. um But yeah, we did the hike. Everybody pretty much loved it for the most part. And had a good time.
01:01:06
Speaker
It looked beautiful. It was amazing. Yeah. I wish I could have done that, um but I was completely exhausted. And part of that reason is because the night before, I guess I was the only one um that went to Absinthe, which is Cirque production um located just outside Caesar's Palace in a tent.
01:01:28
Speaker
um It's a 90-minute show, no intermission, and it is very adult, very inappropriate. There were parts of it where the emcee of the circus is kind of doing stand-up.
01:01:40
Speaker
um And it was absolutely hilarious. um Really, really funny. And the acts were super cool to see, mostly because the tent is very intimate. um So even though we were in the second to last row, you still felt like you were like right there just watching these crazy things happen. You know, they had um a guy stacking chairs at the beginning. There was juggling. There was taxing.
01:02:04
Speaker
tap dance. There was stuff I can't even describe, to be honest, aspects of burlesque in it, um ah like quick change costumes, all kinds of different acts. And apparently the different acts in the show rotate out, but the sort of um overarching kind of setup of the show where they kind of do the stand up in between the different acts is is remain remaining the same because Zach had seen it before and he was like, yeah,
01:02:29
Speaker
only two of the acts were the same from the last time you saw it and everything else was completely different. So he still had an amazing time because there was a lot of different things to see. um So that was really an enjoyable. It's not cheap, um but I can understand why, because like the capacity of a lot of the other Cirque shows in Vegas have these really big theaters, but this is such a small one and you really feel like you're, you're like part of it. um And they interact with the audience a lot. Like a lot of the jokes were targeting audience members, which is hilarious. um so i would recommend it for sure it was fun yeah after hearing about it i felt like i missed out i was like that sounds so funny like i heard about some of the jokes that they were saying like damn that sounds yeah it was wild bethany was having the best time it was very bisexual circus
01:03:17
Speaker
okay that sounds really fun yeah cool um And then Rafa, do you want to tell us about the coasters, the coaster part the weekend? So the tiny little portion, like you'd think that like we would have more coasters, but this is, this is really it. But um yeah, we, we headed over to Adventure Dome where we got to ride Loco, which i don't know about you guys. I enjoyed it. I know some people did not like it. You didn't like it. No, I hated it. The drop was good and then the rest was terrible. It was you fine. like I didn't hate it. i mean, I don't love it. but i mean, I was like, okay, this is fine. it was too janky. The one at Indiana Beach is way better. Yeah.
01:04:00
Speaker
Indiana Beach made my expectations too high. Oh, see, I like it better. i like the jankiness of it all. Like, that's what I enjoyed. yeah, that was pretty fun. I enjoyed that. And then we got to ride Canyon Blasters.
01:04:14
Speaker
Blaster, blasters, whatever. um I love that. i was i really didn't know how I was going to feel about it. I rode with Tyler and I remember I was like, I don't think I'm going to like this. like I don't know how I'm going to feel about this, but...
01:04:27
Speaker
It was so surprising to me. It was just so good. It was really good. It's like flying. It's one of the best arrows out there. So good. don't understand why it like feels like it runs so fast. i don't know if it's just the illusion of being indoors or if it really does, but it feels like it really does because by the you were like so fast. yeah The entire time I was like wondering, how are we going this fast? or like I don't know. Like you said, it's like the illusion of it all. I don't know. like It just feels like you're going that fast.
01:04:54
Speaker
I was fully grayed out on the second loop both times I rode. was like, I see absolutely nothing. It only had that one janky part. I think like in between the first and second corkscrew.
01:05:08
Speaker
Yeah. But going into the corkscrews were insane. Like that, that was like a nice pop right there going into it. Yeah. That was, that was a lot of fun. But, um but yeah, that was my favorite coaster of the trip. Me too. Yeah.
01:05:24
Speaker
Because, oh before we left, everybody everybody went on Angry Birds, right? Did we all go on Angry Birds? Oh, yes. This was my like original spill. Was that a fever dream or did we go on Angry Birds?
01:05:40
Speaker
Oh my God. That was the worst simulator attraction I have ever been on. It was so bad. Bethany was like, oh, it's like Plants vs. Zombies, um which is like a shooter game at Carowinds or used to be. and So I was like, okay, cool. And then we get in there.
01:05:56
Speaker
It's like the weakest motion based platform I've ever been on. It like shifts six inches to the left and right. And you can hear it working. Oh, yeah. yeah she is She's been around because she's like.
01:06:11
Speaker
And you guys got like stuck in there for a bit longer. Yeah, it broke and then they restarted it. i was I was like, I almost, she said at the beginning, if you feel nauseous, put your hand up and put your other hand over your mouth. I was almost like, let me out. Like this thing is so dumb. Like I don't need to be on it anymore. We were wondering, we're like, why are they taking so long? like And then we found out later on that it had stopped like halfway through, guess, to redo the whole thing. Terrible.
01:06:39
Speaker
Yeah, that... That was really bad. but The motion didn't make sense, though. It was like... no it made It made no sense. It wasn't even showing us a POV. We were just moving. now We were watching the Angry Birds move. It made no sense whatsoever.
01:06:56
Speaker
And there was no wind effects? or like so Because you could tell almost that it should have because there were times where it like, oh, there should be a water effect there. There should be a wind effect there. And none of it happens. The motion was just very awkward. like You were just like constantly like...
01:07:10
Speaker
up down up down and it was just like okay i don't know what's going on right now it was so bad that it was actually hilarious exactly yeah i think everybody's reaction afterwards was just great because everybody was the most adventure dome thing ever that that right yeah got is there you guys write anything else i rode the drop tower oh my gosh yes i wrote i wrote that that thing takes off like a gun it was and I felt like I ruptured a disc in my back when it shot you up.
01:07:40
Speaker
yeah I think my next time I've seen that. I was telling i was feeling everybody, like, i this would be hilarious if they had cameras there to get, like, when they do that slow-mo and your face droops down in slow-mo, because the way that thing shoots you up, I'm sure that my face would have looked completely different, like, if they would do slow-mo in my face. I lost inches to my spine. I was not prepared for the chiropractic adjustment that was about to happen.
01:08:05
Speaker
Like, I'm pretty sure. And then after that, i I don't know if it was tiredness or that ride, but I got a bad headache that
Exploring Las Vegas: Beyond Gambling and Drinking
01:08:13
Speaker
lasted for hours. It didn't make me feel too good. Yeah, no, not great. Not great.
01:08:17
Speaker
Adventure Dome, I don't know what kind of expectation I had. Maybe I was just like really out of control, but I expected it to kind of be on the level of like American Dream, which is just laughable. Oh, no. no no no no no no no and they had a log flume in there i noticed it's been dead for years in yeah dead for years it's so sad because it looks cool but oh that place that's one and done thank god i got both those creds because i will not be returning yeah I will never go back to Adventure Dome. I mean, I'd be surprised if Circus Circus is even open like 10 years from now.
01:08:54
Speaker
That place is rough. Not me either on my second visit just because y'all were going. Yeah. yeah Yeah, sorry. Not going happen. But then after that, we went over to um the, what is it? The New York, New York coaster.
01:09:12
Speaker
Big Apple Coaster at New York, New York Hotel. hated it. I hated that. why it What? I hated learned so much. I didn't ride it this time, but I rode it like two years ago. I think it was fun.
01:09:26
Speaker
Same. I had no issues at all. I mean, is it a good coaster? No. No. It is not painful. It has a great setting. It's unique. The only Togo left in the country. Like, yeah, I enjoyed it. I wrote it twice last time.
01:09:40
Speaker
I appreciate that it was unique. I wrote in the back row with Jake. I do not like a Skyrocket 2 restraint. My poor shims are bruised. And there was just nothing good about it. There were only a couple bad things about it. Like the dive loop. I maybe it's because I already had a headache, but I was like, oh, like, and there's just nothing good about it other than that. Other than like that, we waited in line for freaking ever for a cred that I will never have to ride again. Thank God.
01:10:11
Speaker
Yeah, like the beginning was fun. Like the two drops, like the beginning was fine. um It was funny because Shay's truly feeling her Thuzi self right now because she's starting to put her hands up now, which she wouldn't do before. And she was like, let's put our hands up. And she was forcing me, grabbing my hand. I'm like, we don't know what's coming after these drops. Like I need to put my hands down. The moment shit started hitting the fan towards the end or like, you know, after the two main drops, she was like, oh my God, no, I need to hold on right now. She's like, this kind of hurts.
01:10:41
Speaker
Yeah, and I was like, exactly. I didn't want to put my hands up for that reason. But yeah, yeah it it was just certainly wasn't comfy. I definitely recall a jank moment in the dive loop. um Yeah, but then also like a whole kind of jank, though. The end of the ride is kind of a dud. Like it doesn't very do much at the end.
01:10:58
Speaker
I think the only cool thing other than it being very unique is the view of Vegas that you like get up there. Yeah, like that's like It's like, okay, the fact that this is like on a casino and like outside of buildings is cool, I guess.
01:11:13
Speaker
I mean, I think I would definitely would have liked it a lot less with the old trains that had like shoulder harnesses because that sounds terrible. But I really don't mind it with the Skyrocket trains. I think it's like fine, I guess is the way to put it.
01:11:24
Speaker
You have normal size body proportions though. so Yeah. My shoulders don't really jet into those vests. So yeah. I mean, my body is like two thirds legs, so they're never comfortable cool. Ethan asks, how did the three Vegas coasters compare to your expectations of them?
01:11:44
Speaker
I didn't really have expectations of any of these. I was just like, Oh, it's three creds that I need. They're not going to be great. They're not going to be horrible. And that's pretty accurate. I feel I liked Canyon Blaster more than I thought. Yeah.
01:11:56
Speaker
That was the, the, the the hit for me. Like I really enjoyed that. But I really didn't have many expectations. I thought I would like El Loco more than I did. That's fair.
01:12:08
Speaker
i think El Loco, like at the time that I wrote it first, met my expectations. Canyon Blaster exceeded. And Big Apple also exceeded just because i had heard such terrible things about it. I was expecting the worst. And then I wrote it and I was like, this is not the worst.
01:12:23
Speaker
Yeah, definitely not the worst. Okay. Thanks, Ethan. Cool. Anything else about Vegas before we talk about the best part of Vegas? Or Unleashed.
01:12:35
Speaker
I feel like Vegas is a very polarizing city. And I just want to say I love Vegas. I mean. oh do I. That was my first time. I barely drank at all. I think I had two drinks the whole weekend.
01:12:47
Speaker
I barely gambled at all. But I still have such a blast there every time I go. I think that was my third time. There's just so much to do as far as shows. Just people watching. There's beautiful nature so close to Vegas. Like people don't realize how close the mountains are.
01:13:03
Speaker
I love Vegas and I will continue to go back even though I don't drink that much or gamble that much. Although I did gamble more this time. So I just liked watching Scott gamble. Hi, Scott.
01:13:17
Speaker
Yes. Yeah. definitely It's definitely, it was my first time in Vegas too It's definitely not my type of preferred like vacation spot. I would say like i grew up really close to Atlantic city, which is like a crappy version of Vegas that's gotten crappier over time. So that kind of like,
01:13:38
Speaker
tarnishes my view of that kind of atmosphere, I want to say I also have a a casino very close to me that I went to a lot in my 20s. So like that atmosphere, I like could take it or leave it, I did have a really fun time like in the casino. I also didn't drink a ton. I don't drink a ton, generally speaking. um But I didn't get to see and a lot of it just because I was only there for like 48 hours and we had stuff planned. But I didn't get to see like all of the strip or all of the like big casinos. I really wanted to see like the fountains outside the Bellagio, which I didn't see. I didn't go to Fremont, like a lot of classic iconic Vegas things. I just didn't have time to do. i was exhausted and I would return to see those things. I loved the nature. I loved the hike so much. i I, think like Vegas vibe is not necessarily me, but I enjoyed what they had enough to offer. And are there's still stuff that I want to see there that I would return, I think.
01:14:34
Speaker
Yeah, i I enjoyed it. I really, i loved it. um Definitely not the cheapest place to visit, but. Nope. But yeah, I really enjoyed it. Like there's a lot to do. um and I feel like when I go back, there are so many things I still have to go check out.
01:14:50
Speaker
um But yeah, I mean, i I feel like this was like a a wider, the strip felt like a wider Times Square for me. um That's how I kind of looked at it. I was like thinking, like this kind of feels like what Times Square is trying to be, but it's just so tight in Times Square. feel like there's nothing to do in Times Square, though. There's that, too, and that's why I enjoyed this more. like yeah There's just so much to do. um But yeah, no, I would definitely go back.
01:15:21
Speaker
And also, in the rare chance that whoever is listening was not on this trip, we stayed as a group at Mandalay Bay, which is a pretty large casino resort at the like Southern end of the strip. And I liked it from what I saw, like compared to some of the other ones that I walked through, like in the general vicinity and like where the creds were, like, i thought it was pretty nice and we got a decent deal there. So would recommend.
01:15:47
Speaker
Yeah. Nice bathroom. Really enjoyed that yeah for getting ready. i think it's in the, ah north and of my fingers frigging that, that heavy, that door was heavy as hell. It's like, Oh my gosh.
01:16:00
Speaker
Like I put my hand there for a second and like I didn't realize that the door was closing and it just went in on my fingers. It did close on its own. Yes. Oh my God. My my fingers have been like throbbing since. like Oh no. It sucks. Besides the door, the hotel was incredible. Like I enjoyed it. It was really nice. like Yeah.
01:16:20
Speaker
Nice location. i'm I'm not mad about it. Yeah. Cool. Let's move
Universal Horror Unleashed: Expectations vs. Reality
01:16:25
Speaker
on to our experience at Universal Horror Unleashed, which Joey mentioned is in Area 15 in the like northern, what was it called? Something to zone two. um And I just want to set preface before we get into it is Unlike HHN, I did very little preparing for this visit. I did very little research. I think you guys can all agree. We like kind of knew what was going on there, but like didn't really. And i was kind of put off by the whole thing with the like influencer reviews that happened really early on when Quora Unleashed opened back in August. I feel like the first round of like HHN influencers that went didn't really have positive things to say.
01:17:12
Speaker
So I went into this experience with like excitement because it's like HHN, right? But like pretty low expectations. I want to hear just first what your guys' overall impression of the of that era of the experience was.
01:17:30
Speaker
I really liked it. Yeah. didn't know who was going to talk first. It's kind of... It's neat to have... the spooky atmosphere be able to be contained more and controlled more because the central area of, I mean, it's basically a warehouse. um And that's kind of the theme of it as well. It's kind of themed to this warehouse of HHN history. So if you go around, you'll see references to old houses and old HHN themes in this warehouse. us
01:18:01
Speaker
um But what I liked about the warehouse a lot is the central area, you know, obviously the houses are there, but they're on the outsides. The central area is um able to be controlled and lit and feels very purpose built for this experience. um They have a really cool looking bar that has like these steam pipes and and it goes off every once in a while with effects. um And they also have a sort of jack looking area with the stage on it that gets used for performances.
01:18:33
Speaker
And then i wasn't expecting this. They also, just to create the vibe, I suppose, have roaming scare actors out in this general area. um And I wasn't expecting that. um it's I wouldn't quite call it a scare zone because there's there's not ah like ah a specific theme to it, really. But they are... It's not unified, but... Exactly, yeah. um But like there's a lot of them. Yeah.
01:18:57
Speaker
yeah This is a major spoiler alert, but like when you first walk in... There's a, there's a, um what do you even think called that? Like a flying. zipline. It literally was like a triangular zipline. And I was like, okay, that was like my first thing. I was like, oh, this is working better than El Artista. Right. True. And they were there the whole, like the whole time. Like it was consistently staffed and there was all the roaming people. And yeah, I just thought it was really cool because they can,
01:19:28
Speaker
you know, in the park environment, there are things that you can't make disappear that are always just going to look like regular universal. So you can't like fully customize it to be as immersive as it could be. Whereas this is like, it's pretty cool.
01:19:46
Speaker
Really cool. Yeah, that's my biggest takeaway. There's no just backstage, well-lit area for the queue line. Every single inch of this warehouse is themed, and you feel like you are in an HHN area the entire time.
01:20:03
Speaker
Yeah, even like the queue lines, the first one we went into, The Exorcist, I wasn't sure if we were in the house yet or not. I thought the house had started right at the entrance, but that was just sort of 50-foot...
01:20:17
Speaker
deemed a queue line, which I thought was awesome. Which I think they assumed maybe would be full. Yes. yeah That is another thing I was going to mention, is that the vibe was slightly off just because it wasn't very crowded. And ah we'll talk about the shows, but like for some of the shows, there were literally employees like trying to usher people to come watch them, because there just weren't people even in the vicinity of it. um They were like, please come over here and watch this. Yeah, that's wild to me. i get that it's January. So it's not haunt season. But this is meant to be an a year round event, which I'm thankful for. I love i love a haunt any time of the year. But it was a Friday night. And i would say 30 ish of us that were there were probably like half of the crowd of people. Yeah, yeah, the majority there.
01:21:10
Speaker
It's, yeah. Which is wild. Yeah, that's what scares me because i I truly enjoyed the experience. I think it's very well done. i mean, like, sure, there i mean there's a couple things. Like, for me personally, i mean, we'll go into detail when it comes to the houses in a bit, but I do feel like...
01:21:26
Speaker
Something's going be done, I guess, to try to get more people to come, whether it's rotating these IPs or something. um But as far as the environment goes and the the themed bars and just the general areas, like it was really cool. Yeah.
01:21:42
Speaker
I think the problem is that the HHN community outside of Orlando is very niche. And if you're going to Las Vegas, you're probably just going to the Vegas Strip unless you know about this already. Like, or you're there for such a long period of time that you're like, what else can I do? You show up at Area 15 and you're like, happen upon it and get a ticket while you're there. Like, I just feel like I would have never like known to even look for this if I wasn't like an HHN fan. yeah Well, that's another issue is, yes, it's part of Area 15, but not really because it's far away from the Zone 1 area. like Zone 1 area was packed. Meow Wolf, Omega Mart, that whole building was packed. But Horror Unleashed, there was nothing going around there.
01:22:31
Speaker
I think they're still trying to build it up. but They are, they are, but right now it's. Yeah. They have like no other tenants in that space yet. And it feels good. My point is there's no possible way for you to just kind of stumble upon it in your travels. You have to plan out going there.
01:22:47
Speaker
Yeah. and And I mean, it is like, I think the week that we went is a little bit off in terms of, you know, like peak Vegas times, because CES was the week before, which is like a massive convention where there's lots of people there. But it ended right before our weekend started. So I think people that probably honestly might have gone there during CES were already gone.
01:23:09
Speaker
yeah And also like the holiday season just ended too. Yeah, exactly. There's like a weird lull because the first week of January is still kind of crazy, but then it, it drops a little. So I wonder if like, it's just a product of the time that we were there as well.
01:23:22
Speaker
Yeah, everybody's getting back to work. That's why I thought it was such a good time for an event, because it's like, okay, the the dread of the holidays ending is happening, but now I have to look forward to this trip. And it was great that we didn't have to wait. I was just like kind of surprised by that. Yeah.
01:23:37
Speaker
Well, we're also so used to HHN, like, yeah you know, crazy crowds. With no... um Yeah. And that season is so compressed. I mean, this place is, it's not open every single day, but it's like open almost every day. yeah And so that really spreads the demand out, which is interesting. And I like wonder how they can manage that business model. Like, I wonder if some point in the future to kind of compress the demand and, you know, not have such high operating expenses because this place was staffed.
01:24:05
Speaker
There were a lot of people working there. Yeah, there were lot of people there. I wonder if they might like compress its open ability a little bit more, like have it Thursday through Sunday or Friday through Sunday instead of having it. I think currently it's Tuesday through Sunday, right? and I think they're only closed Monday. I think Yeah, think so. That's a lot of days that they're open. A lot of days. And just to like touch on before we get into some of the other stuff, the the atmosphere and the vibe, i think I really like when, and I say this all the time when we talk about HHN, I really like when the theme is like unified and kind of seamless. And this had so much different stuff going on, but because it was contained within one area, like Joey said, and you're not having like outside influences of like other stuff going on, it worked, even though it wasn't all,
01:24:53
Speaker
the same theme. um And some of the like roaming scare actors, they had those like statues of like the brides. They, that some of them were real people. Like they had a variety of really good scares that I don't think would work in a typical HHN scare zone as well. So it's just interesting to see like,
01:25:11
Speaker
a refreshing take on what we typically experience outdoors at a giant theme park within like the the confines of a warehouse. And I was pleasantly overall very impressed and surprised by it.
01:25:26
Speaker
Yeah, i hate that I got so many like negative reviews by these influencers. like And i feel like that hurt it like it. I mean, I don't know how it did i mean after it opened, but I don't know. Yeah, I'm not really sure because I kind of like tuned it out because I was like, i don't want to hear about all this bad stuff. I mean, certainly it looked like it was very busy when the influencers were there. So maybe it was more frustrating because they did have to wait for things more and it it just took took away from... the experience and maybe it's just because those scare actors were brand spanking new at their jobs and didn't you know you know how it is when they're yeah the beginning of the season versus the end of the season i don't know there's you know the potential for a lot of things to to have caused negative reviews i guess i was just super surprised it's the same thing as having low expectations for a coaster then it blows you away that's kind of how it felt about the experience overall
01:26:17
Speaker
I'm sure that there are some operational things that smooth themselves out as well, because I don't believe when it first opened. um And this is, I guess, a logistical thing to be aware of like that. There is one house, the Scarecrow, that stays open the whole night, but the other ones have on and off times to give the actors a break. um When you first walk in, you can scan a QR code and kind of get the schedule of when all of these houses are opening and closing. um I think when it first opened, they weren't even posting that. So people were like walking up to a house and being like, why is it closed and being sent away? And they were getting frustrated trying to navigate. like potentially waiting longer in the queues. Exactly. Like, you know, if they weren't aware. Right, right. Yeah. So that I mean, having that information was pretty critical to like navigating it.
01:26:59
Speaker
Yeah, I guess before we move on to the specific things, I also want to say with it being so. like not crowded, like like empty, I guess. We were able to pulse through the houses, which is unlike what we experienced at Horror Nights with the conga line. Some of the like attendants who would like let us in the house, let us choose how many people we would go in with. So like one of the houses, Scarecrow, I think we went in groups of two in our life like small group, which was awesome. And their max was six. Like yeah no more than six can go through in a group. So that was just like six.
01:27:33
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Being like in front of a group without having anybody in front of you, it makes it a lot more nerve wracking because you don't know where to go. Like when I was in the front of the group, there were legit times in the houses where I wasn't sure of why what direction to go. And in some cases that was the scare because they like set it up to be you're not sure. And then somebody pops out at you. So yeah, they got me. Yeah. Yeah.
01:27:55
Speaker
Let's talk about the shows. We saw, i guess, technically three-ish or two and a half shows. Yeah. The first one that we saw, where we went right when we got there. it was the first thing we did. There was like a juggling Yeah.
01:28:07
Speaker
And I thought, and you guys obviously weigh in too, I thought his tricks were what I'd expect from a juggling act. Like nothing was super out of this world, but still impressive. But his character was annoying AF.
01:28:22
Speaker
Yeah. yeah Yeah. I thought it was generic. I thought it was funny for the first couple minutes, but after... he did the same thing like for the next 10 minutes was like okay and we just we walked away i was like let's go to a house um already yeah the character got old um the show was too long for that character to be on like that the whole time was the problem because it worked for a little bit for me and then i was like all right all right yeah it got cringy The second show that we saw was like the longer full show. It was featuring Jack and it was like a game, i guess, like kind of a game where basically he...
01:29:08
Speaker
took it fake audience members. They were obviously part of the cast to make them perform in his act. And then the audience could choose whether they stay or slay, which get killed. But like the only choice was they get killed. It was kind of like, kind of cheesy, like storyline, but I love that we got to see Jack. That was my first time actually seeing a Jack character in real life, believe it or not. So I'm glad we got that going into an anniversary year of HHN. Um,
01:29:38
Speaker
Um, I got really freaking psyched when they played the the opening song was one that is used in nightmare fuel often. so that really excited me and the dancing in that song. Great. You could tell who were professionally trained dancers and who weren't.
01:29:57
Speaker
And there were some that weren't, let me tell you. not theyking about later And I was like, Nobody else would notice that stuff probably but somebody who was a dancer. But to me, there was like a little bit of cringe in some of that. um But overall, the show was enjoyable. What did you guys think?
01:30:15
Speaker
Yeah, I didn't notice any bad dancing at all. But I really enjoyed it. Jack was awesome. um but He was a female character. i don't know her name.
01:30:28
Speaker
think they said Queen of Hearts or something like that. Yeah, something like that. She was like sidekick. um I mean, it was like it was cheesy, but it was so fun. armed it kind of just incorporated everything a little bit of dancing, a little bit of horror, a little bit of comedy, little bit of death. I really liked it a lot.
01:30:48
Speaker
Yeah, it reminded me of um the like I used to watch YouTube videos of some of the HHN shows that they would do where, you know, they would have the fake audience members and bring them up and they would get killed in various ways. Like that's what it reminded me of that they were trying to do. And so that it made sense. Like it has continuity with HHN of years past and kind of the things that they've used to do. I mean, I guess they don't really do that anymore, but um that was kind of a ah neat way to see it in in modern times.
01:31:18
Speaker
Um, and I'm not really sure what else you can really do. It's kind of hard to do a, a spooky show. Like they can't really do nightmare. yeah in full That's, that's a lot going on. It would have been cool if they had some like other aspect of magic to it, maybe. Um, but that's really the only yeah critique I had.
01:31:34
Speaker
i did like the, uh, the audience participation. yeah Our friends Bethany and Erica went up there, they got picked. And basically the premise of it is the audience is supposed to choose stay or slay. So one side says slay and the other side says stay, except there's an L over the T. So basically they both say slay. Bethany didn't realize that.
01:31:59
Speaker
She did not. She held up stay and then they're like, everybody chose slay. And then there's a video of her just like turning her sign around and looking at it in pure confusion before she realized. Yeah, it was really cute. I'm not going to lie. I saw the picture. i think Joey, you had posted it of them on stage and i thought that was I thought that was pictures from like the circus show that you guys went to because I didn't catch the show. so I'm like, what is going on? So like all I saw were like the signs. I didn't see Jack the Clown there. I would have known that were Horror Nights. But saw it I'm like, whoa, they got called up for the circus show. i was like, what the heck is going on? I didn't i didn't watch the show. I didn't know it was going on. i think I was at the bar or something. I don't know. I don't know what i was doing at that moment. But I had no idea what time it was. But yeah, I missed it, unfortunately.
01:32:49
Speaker
Yeah, it was good. And then we saw like kind of a show. just like an interactive little performance. There was like a like trust kind of like walkway above the warehouse where like a couple of like clown doll like dancers kind of came out and did a little thing to music. thought it was good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I was going say was Megan Horde basically from two years ago.
01:33:09
Speaker
yeah yeah that's i was going to say was megan horde basically from two years ago Yeah, but not Megan. but And that was like fully unscheduled because the other shows were like listed out and we had time. yeah that just kind of happened. um And it makes sense the time they did it.
01:33:24
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. They also had, um not that we really participated that much, but they had meet and greets with different characters as well that were happening in the restaurant. Yeah. Yeah, the grabber from Blackphone was there. um That brings us to food. Speaking of the restaurant, there's definitely a restaurant there. Was it like not open or was it open and people just weren't doing it? Oh, it was open. Just like nobody. It was not a soul in there. And it was a sit down restaurant, which like we had just eaten at the Tiki Bar. So like nobody was really going to eat there. Yeah.
01:33:56
Speaker
um there was also like a grab and go like cart of food i saw people got popcorn and like some other like i know meg got a cake pop heart i think or mark or somebody yeah um mark wasn't there it was meg um but yeah there were snacks did any did you guys eat anything no didn't eat anything nope okay sorry we can't report on food probably should have but what did you drink rafa um I think I just had beer. I didn't have any one of any of like the special drinks. Yeah, I didn't try any of that.
01:34:26
Speaker
Anybody else drink anything? I think that Javi got one of the specialty cocktails and said it was good, but it was not as strong as it should have been given the price, I think is what he said. Yeah, they were expensive, I saw.
01:34:40
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, that's what I would expect. Like, I expected that the food and the drink would be kind of pricey. Yeah. And before, while we're on that, since none of us really tried that, before we get into the house is the exciting part. Did any of you guys go into the little merch store?
01:34:54
Speaker
yeah I did. well i I feel like it was well done compared to like regular HHN merch. It was just so damn expensive. Like I saw a long sleeve spirit jersey that I really liked. It was like white and tan kind of like tie dye. And then it had just like horror unleashed on the back and I wanted it real bad, but it was $85. So I did not get it. Yeah.
01:35:14
Speaker
Yeah. I don't know. Like the color of like the warehouse outside, like yeah the outsides. I kind liked that. They had some ah like ah poker chips that had the logo on it and I was kind of interested in that. But again, when I saw the price, I was like, maybe not. It was well done. Just really pricey. Yeah. yeah All right. Let's get into the houses. so they had four houses there. um I'm just going to talk about them in order that I did them because it just makes most sense to me. And then we can quickly rank them up. I think we'll probably have pretty similar rankings. um
01:35:48
Speaker
So the first one that we all did, i don't Rafa, I think you were on a different group than us. So maybe it's not the same order as you, but we didn't we' too far off you were cloth yeah we did Exorcist first. And like Tyler mentioned, we entered and thought we were in the house and there were no scare actors. And I was like, God damn, it isn't good, but it was just the queue.
01:36:07
Speaker
So that's one big takeaway I wish HHN would take. And we always say this, that waiting in those queues, especially inside the like, um soundstage cues where it's just like cattle pens, like do some theming. Like this was so intricately themed and it doesn't need to be that. Like they' they're going to have longer lines at HHN than like a 20 minute wait would be in one of these lines. But like some, oh my gosh, please do something.
01:36:32
Speaker
made it so much more immersive and really introduced the theme of the house before you even enter. So yeah, love that. And entrance attendants were also like interactive once you got to the mall. They were like talking to you and friendly and excited that you were there, which yeah like happy to see a soul, you know? um This was Exorcist Believer, correct? So same as the house that was just three, three two years ago? Three years ago. you was like three. Yeah, three years ago. Yeah. So it was similar, definitely. They had very similar like rooms that I recall. Like they had the bedroom scene and like you're in the house a lot, which that was the same.
01:37:12
Speaker
um They did not have the smell, thank God, not that I noticed from that house of the poopy poop. um I was, but i was, I'm very bothered by smells sometimes. So I was glad that that wasn't there. I think,
01:37:25
Speaker
and i think Overall, like the acting in this house, the costuming and the makeup was very well done. um There were definitely some like very open hallways and like kind of empty areas about this one. But there were some good jump scares for me. And I really enjoyed the interactive scene in the bedroom where they kind of like...
01:37:49
Speaker
did a little skit, which they did in some other houses too. But overall, this being the first house, I was impressed. I think it was similar par to the Exorcist Believer house of HHN. What did you guys think?
01:38:02
Speaker
I was very surprised by that middle scene. um I thought I was like, whoa, like what's going on here? Like there's like a little thing going on here. Like I wasn't expecting something like that to happen, especially since we're so used to HHN and just conga lining through these rooms like very quickly.
01:38:17
Speaker
um But yeah, i thought that was very neat. I mean, this wasn't my favorite house, but I didn't think it was going to be my favorite house anyway. But the detail was great. Like you said, like going into the queue and seeing some detail was exciting because like You have things to look at. You have things just like, you know, like just you can pay attention to the detail of it all, which was really cool.
01:38:38
Speaker
But um but yeah, I mean, I I i really enjoyed it. It was very cool. um Like I said, the middle room was really cool. um it didn't feel as long as the others. It felt like it was a little bit on the shorter end, but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed that house.
01:38:53
Speaker
The makeup was great here. um Like you guys said, that's probably the best part of this entire event for me is the fact that because you're only in groups of two to six, they actually pull you in and do like a 30 second skit or whatever you want to call it while you're in this one room, which is awesome. You could never get that in Orlando.
01:39:14
Speaker
and So every, I think all four houses had some variation of that. Um, yeah, I like this one. Um, like I said, costuming and makeup was really good. it just, there were others that were better.
01:39:30
Speaker
Yep. Yeah. Same. I don't really have anything else to add. Um, it was a good primer for like what to expect from the rest of the houses, I think. And it definitely was exciting that it was actually, I left there being like, okay, that was good. Yeah. Yeah. like I remember you getting excited when we left. Yeah. Yeah, I was like, shit, I thought this place was going to suck, and it's kind of weird.
01:39:53
Speaker
I also loved, of course, that they played the classic Exorcist music. I think that was toward the end of the house, so, like, Bells. Loved that. And then the one thing I didn't mention about the girl and the skit in the bedroom, like the possessed one, um A lot of times in the HHN houses, because you're in the conga line, you see the scare actor for like a couple seconds because they like have their trigger. They come out, they pop out and they go back in because this girl is like chilling in the room. When I walked past her, I made eye contact with her. She was about three inches from my face, just staring into my eyes for like seconds. And it was sick.
01:40:28
Speaker
I was like, yes, you are working. And I love it. Yeah. Yeah. The other thing that's unique to this event is the actors. You don't just see them once in the house. You will see them once and then they'll go through their back little hallway and get you again. And then probably a third time. Also, you'll see the same actor multiple times, which yeah I think really makes sense as a model for this sort of event. But yeah,
01:40:53
Speaker
At the same time, it didn't seem repetitive. You know, they were doing different scares each time, but I did recognize the same actor or actress coming up a few times. Yeah. It was less obvious.
01:41:05
Speaker
Imagine Art the Clown is the same person in the whole Art of the Wild. They could probably do it. I mean, yeah, that was pretty impressive. They managed to build a lot of scares in these houses where because it was being pulsed, they could kind of pop out of different locations and and reuse the same person that was almost following you around, even though you didn't really notice it.
01:41:31
Speaker
Yeah. And i think it also adds to the continuity of the story of the house, too. You're like, oh, I know this character. For sure. that's Cool. um The next house that we did was Texas. Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
01:41:48
Speaker
So I really enjoyed the sort of walk up to this one. um There was kind of this the car out there and you saw the facade of the house as part of the queue. Again, like very immersive set up to the house where you're like, wait, are we in it yet? and But no. um which we kind of knew by that point that actually starts, quote unquote, once you walk through the door of this facade of the house. And in this one, there was actually like an actor from the house who is interacting with us before we even got into the house, which was interesting. And it was kind of making references to the film and and the time period and everything.
01:42:28
Speaker
um Not trying to scare us necessarily, but just interacting. Um, there was, I'm trying to remember, there was a scene in this one, if I remember correctly, where we did get stopped, like there was a door that was closed, and I couldn't go any further. And that was kind of the skit of this house, because I was like, oh, I can't go anywhere. And um they were, you know, something was getting slashed up on a table while that was happening.
01:42:54
Speaker
And then, if i correct me if I'm wrong, this was also the one where they did a little a little bit where some random person shows up and joins your group. Yes. um And it's like, sorry, my friends left me. Can I join your group? And you're like, okay. And then they're Yeah. Right. Sure. Join us. And then you walk into the the next house because you were outdoor in that part and you walk into this house and then she immediately gets got in the hallway, ah which I was expecting, but I was like, that's still a fun thing. And I think it's cool that they did that.
01:43:32
Speaker
Yeah. They went hard on that too. They like completely grabbed her and dragged her into the back room, screaming and kicking. It was, I was like, Oh, it was great. yeah But Joey, I was right behind you for the door and you were so confused, like trying to open the door. like what i did not open It reminded me of when we went to the Lehigh Valley Scream Park. And I don't remember what house we were in, but like, I think it was the one that was like after the hayride where we just like, it was so dark. We didn't know where to go. And they were like yelling at us together the right way. It's like, uh, we don't know where to go.
01:44:06
Speaker
Yeah. What'd you guys think? I really enjoyed it. I yeah i thought it was good. i thought it was a fun house. um Again, i feel like – I think we all share like probably the same favorite. Or maybe not. It's probably up there. or you know, top two are probably the same. But this one is – this was probably my least favorite of the four. Yeah.
01:44:28
Speaker
um Because we actually didn't – we heard about that little, like, interaction that you guys had, but I don't think we had that. I don't think that happened for us, like, the girl coming in. I remember Yeah, I would have remembered. And I was like, as you were talking, like, okay, I know the golden tiki got to me, but, like, I'm pretty sure – I'm pretty sure I would have remembered that. And I don't think that happened, but... I wonder if there was a reset happening, like the group ahead of you happened too fast or something like that. Yeah. Because somebody else, I can't remember who mentioned it, but somebody had mentioned that in the Exorcist room, like it was backed up when they got to that middle scene, that whole little skit that was going on. So they kind of saw what was going on. So it was like awkwardly like in the middle. So I think that that kind of thing is like the only...
01:45:16
Speaker
I guess that's the only thing you can compare like like the regular HHN to where like you kind of see a scene that's already happening as you're entering a room. um But I mean, overall, I mean, it's still cool to hear that that's what they did with that scene. But I mean, overall, it was a fun house.
01:45:32
Speaker
um Like I said, it was my least favorite, but it was still it was still really cool and fun house. Yeah, you guys pretty much said everything. Joey's moments were the two highlights of the house. I also really love the facade, but yeah, don't really have anything else to add. it's It's not a top two for me, but it's still very quality and I enjoyed it.
01:45:52
Speaker
Agree. Not much to add. Still quality. Still better than some houses of of actual HHN that I've been in. Definitely not the bottom. i would enjoy it. I would have done it again. This house did have a smell of like the like hanging animals, like dead body type smell that you get in those kind of like rundown house environments, which I didn't love, but that's just a me thing. um ah Yeah. I think we can move on to the next one, which for us happened to be scarecrow
01:46:25
Speaker
I love Scarecrow. Rafa, you go first because you you are the only one of us that actually did the the original Scarecrow at HHN, right? Yeah. so i okay So I love this house. The thing is that you i had to I had to like separate the two because i was trying I was comparing too much. And of course, you're going to do that automatically. um But it was very well done. like I think the only reason why the HHN version was better was because they had it in one of the tents And they had it like, of course, when you would go like when it's like daylight out, like when it's like sunny outside, like you go inside and it's pitch black and you're walking through the cornfields and it's like super dark. you have no idea where anything is jumping. And I also feel like because of the warehouse that we're in,
01:47:14
Speaker
like it felt wider than what it was in the tense. So I think that's the only reason why, yeah like I feel like that was the only reason why, like I was like not disappointed because it's, this is in my top two for sure.
01:47:27
Speaker
um it was very well done, but I think I just kept comparing like how like claustrophobic the original was. Yeah, the memory that you have of the original. Right. And it was really intense, but I feel like the actors, like the energy in there was great. Like,
01:47:43
Speaker
still It was still great. It it had that, like you you still had that feeling in this house, even though like the scares weren't as intense compared to the original, they still knew the assignment and they made sure to like bring in that energy to this house.
01:47:59
Speaker
Was the set and storyline and progression of the house the same? It was very, very similar to it. Okay. As far as I can remember, it was very similar. So everything that we saw in there, I think it was pretty similar to what the original house was. The original house was like 2017, think, or 2018. So it's been a while. So I, you know, bits of memory. Yeah. yeah in there But overall, it felt like it was the same kind of storyline. But yeah, I don't know like the crops and everything. Like, I just I love how it looked, even going into the house and that pre-queue where you have like the crops there. That was really fun.
01:48:35
Speaker
Yeah, this it was very – it lives up to the original. It's not as intense, but it's it's definitely up there. The outside part was so well done. You really felt like you were in a cornfield and not in a warehouse. Yeah.
01:48:50
Speaker
um this also had the best scare of the entire night for me. So there was like a dummy hanging from the ceiling. So you're looking up at the dummy. That's you know what your focus is on. And then the dummy like starts, and I think it was like swinging back and forth. So you're still looking at it. yeah And then you're looking up and then scare came directly into my face from the left-hand side. And I jumped out of my shoes. That was so great. I mean, I think a couple of you guys can vouch for that happening.
01:49:22
Speaker
I got, got bad. Yeah. that one got me actually tylers It was just me and you. That was the house that we went in twos. Oh, it was. Yeah, it was the two. You were in front of me and I was behind. So that, that was, yeah, it was, I looked like an Olympic. How alone you felt.
01:49:40
Speaker
and I looked like an Olympic high jumper. I'm sure at that point. but It was great. But yeah, just just the atmosphere they were able to create in a warehouse is just incredible to me. You felt like you were in the middle of a cornfield. was awesome.
01:49:57
Speaker
Yeah, I really enjoyed it. um This is a major spoiler alert, but out of all of the different cues, this is the one that had a scare in the queue. And there were definitely some people that got got pretty bad by that one, too, because they weren't expecting it, having been through some of the other ones. um So that was pretty cool to see that they kind of extended it out. um into the sort of pre-house element of that. Yeah, loved the sets, loved the um kind of different ways that they manipulated you into looking away or and to get scared. There's an area with, like, where you go back outside and you see the cornfield and the wind is blowing and there's, like, water blowing. And, um ah yeah, I just...
01:50:43
Speaker
the way that they designed this was really cool and the way that they built the scares was definitely to be in like more intense it felt like um and yeah i just really really enjoyed it and they scared me the most in this one this was the first house that i did and that pre that q like scare actor got me so bad i'm like oh my gosh i was like okay Yeah, it was so good. It blew my, I was most hyped for this house because I had heard so much about the original scarecrow. Like it blew my expectations out of the water. I easily was scared the most in this house and i wasn't even in the front. Tyler was in front of me.
01:51:24
Speaker
But I was like giggling the whole time because of him getting scared, which doesn't happen often. And I just feel like the sheer number of scares in the house, like I don't know if it was there were more people in there or if they were just moving to other areas. But there were like multiple double scares. The very first scare inside the house when the masked person came out, it reminded me instantly of some of the masks used in Hatchet and Chains.
01:51:48
Speaker
So there were some parts that gave me like similar scare vibes to that, which obviously I loved because I love that house. I just thought it was so well done. I love the theme. The only negative was when you went outside and the corn was a blow in from the wind and it was hitting me in the face. I was like, oh, germs are touching me. I don't like that.
01:52:08
Speaker
um But like overall, I have nothing bad to say about this house. I wish I would have seen the original. i'm probably going to watch it on YouTube. um I hope they bring it back in some capacity or use that theme because I think it's it could be really well done. enjoyed it a lot.
01:52:23
Speaker
Did you guys get the double scare in the little hallway part? Oh, yeah. You did. I did. That got me real good. It reminded me of the WWE hallway scare. Yeah, it was the same type of thing. They were so well-timed in this house, and I felt like it was the most HHN jump scare-like with like the sound triggers and the like no lights. and yeah But I would say like I got more jump scares in that run than I did in most runs this entire seven nights I went to HHN. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
01:53:00
Speaker
I'm just saying they know what they're doing in there and and having the pulsing helps for sure because like yeah it guarantees that you get the scares every time like for that double scare they were diabolical like it was just me and Caleb and they they timed it so they got me first and then Caleb so both of us like yeah they know what to do man and I guess it's not fair to compare directly because pulsing does make a huge huge difference difference but with the conga line they're all in a cycle so like you can't blame them if you don't hit them at the right time it's just how it is But I feel like even in a conga line, like, I feel like the way that they set up these houses in this, you know, in this thing, like, I feel like it's spaced out so well. Like, I feel like sometimes HHN can feel so crammed when it comes to like this scene, this scene, this scene. Like, everything just flows very well, like, from one room to another. So I don't know. I feel like it makes the scares more effective overall, like how spaced out everything is.
01:53:54
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. All right. Last house was their monsters house, universal monsters. Did I have like a tagline with it or was it just called universal? That's it. Universal monsters. just the monsters um Rafa, no, we you went first already. Tyler, you didn't go first yet.
01:54:13
Speaker
You go. Yeah, this one was really good. I liked how defined the separate monsters were. i feel like in previous monsters houses or ones at HH in Orlando, it kind of blends in a little bit, but this was very defined, the different sections for monsters.
01:54:30
Speaker
And I do think this had the best skit where it was bringing Frankenstein to life. That was really great. um But yeah. It gave monsters unchained.
01:54:41
Speaker
It did. It did. Yeah, for sure. yeah um But sets were great. Costuming was great. This, I really love this house. Yeah, this was actually my favorite. And I think it was only because i got the most scares in this house out of the four. um But yeah, I feel like they, like they brought, like with this house, they brought like what was so special about the universal monster houses, like towards the end, like even though like we had some,
01:55:09
Speaker
Like, even though, like, they were all great, I feel like the last one, what was the last one? Bloodlines, was it? Or, yeah, like, I feel like even though, like, it was good, like, it wasn't as great as, like, the OG Universal Monsters, like, when they started doing it. um So this kind of had the same vibes as, like, you know, when it first, they first started doing Universal Monsters. So I really liked it.
01:55:31
Speaker
I always love these ones that have kind of multiple sets in them, even though it doesn't really make sense necessarily. It's still fun to go through all the different ones. And I think I was in the front and getting to experience these rooms for the first time.
01:55:44
Speaker
um So like the the Hunchback's room, I remember being like just the way they designed it. It had mirrors and stuff in it. It it looked really expansive and cool. with the bells and then like they had an entire chandelier above your head for Phantom.
01:55:58
Speaker
um There was a lot of really, really cool visual elements um in this house. I will say the one negative that we had, and I don't know if Rafa, this happened for your group, but when we went through Black Lagoon, there were no actors in there that we saw. So I'm, I think we probably missed somebody. um But that was the one kind of disappointment in there. Yeah. I don't remember too many actors in there in that part. So it may have been,
01:56:24
Speaker
Maybe we both had bad timing or there's just not much going on in there. Yeah. I would hope that they normally at least have one person in there, but they might. Yeah. Because it would have been iconic to see like that costume popping out.
01:56:37
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I agree with pretty much everything that was said. I think the sets were really expansive and well done. I really enjoyed the house. I just didn't get as many scares. It kind of gave me LRT's to vibes where I like really wanted to like get more scare out of the house. And that just didn't happen for me, but that could have easily been um like the luck of the draw. Like I know we entered that house just to as it was opening up back, like back up after being closed for like that 20 or 40 minute period or whatever they um had it closed for.
01:57:13
Speaker
But um it gave i was just quickly trying to look up and I don't think I'm gonna find it in time. But I was trying to look up. i don't know if any of you guys know who the designers of like the houses and sets were if it was people from Orlando that went out and did that because that set gave Dylan Cole laugh to me, it gave Deadman's Pier, LRT, so like those grander sets that feel really expansive. I just, I'm going to look into that because I'm interested, but that's what it felt like to me. Yeah, I feel like the sets in there were probably my favorite of of all the houses, but but yeah, I don't know. i just feel like overall, all of the houses are so well done.
01:57:55
Speaker
They were very well done. I added them into, i have my running list of all time ranked HHN houses and i added them in there and they, some of them were up there amongst the greats.
01:58:10
Speaker
I wish we had some like additional walkthroughs. Like I would have loved to have. yeah that is a good point. So we had the ticket where you could only go in each house once. There is a ticket that's unlimited, but it was substantially more pricey. So we didn't do that, but I would have loved to get more than one run.
01:58:25
Speaker
Honestly, it wasn't that much more. Didn't we look at it? It was like 40 something. Just to upgrade to it once we were there. I guess once we were there to upgrade it was 40. Honestly, if other people were going to do that, I would have done that to do the houses one more time. Yeah, I definitely would have done that. Well, dang, we should have done it.
01:58:45
Speaker
Yeah. What the heck? We should talked about it. I know. would have done it too. Because now I'm like, really want to go back. Yeah. I want to go and check out these houses again because they were so good. were really good. I was so surprised. I want to compare it to that night that we had. I would hope to see a little more people. I mean, I do like was pulsed, but I do want to see how it is when there are a little more people there, especially with the shows. It just feels so dead nobody really wanted to watch them. It almost makes me feel bad for them because they are working. It was the same vibe as when I went to Lost Island and I was like, ooh, bummer. It sucks. And it makes me scared for it. I'm like, is this going to last here? Like, hope so, you know, because it's so good. It's solid. Like, don't know.
01:59:32
Speaker
Well, that brings us into Gary's question, which I think we've addressed maybe previously in the past, he asked, where would we like to see universal ad standalone year around haunt attractions? There is apparently one coming to Chicago. It's unclear if it's going to be the same houses. I hope it's not. I hope it's different unless I'll take Scarecrow again, but like if they want to put some other ones in there, that would be great.
01:59:51
Speaker
um Do you guys have any other ideas for like cities that you would want to see something like this? I was going to say like, if they were like, now that they're building the, i mean, The demographic won't really be there because of it. but I was going to say, like, if they did Texas, since they're opening up the kids resort, like if they did end up expanding that in Texas, like I feel like it would fit in if they decided to then add some HHN stuff there as well.
02:00:16
Speaker
um But I do feel like it it has to be like in a busy area because like yeah if Vegas is struggling right now. Like. It has to be an entertainment destination. um Yeah. One of the only other places that I could think of outside of where they're already putting them is Nashville.
02:00:32
Speaker
um Just because that is a place where people would be looking for that kind of thing. And it has that type of tourism there. I think if you try to put it somewhere like New York, there's too much competition yeah for a log on that type of thing. um And honestly, like there's not a lot of markets. I think putting it in l la doesn't really make sense since it's in Vegas right now and that's so close. And I really don't think that they should dilute it too much in terms of like having like five locations in the US. That seems yeah like too many to me.
02:01:03
Speaker
I'll take one in Philadelphia though and I'll i'll say there's a lot of really old haunty style things that people come to Philadelphia for. so Pennsylvania loves the Spooky. Yeah.
02:01:14
Speaker
Pennsylvania loves a spooky. Cool. Thanks, Gary. Um, show also asked, we're integrating our questions today. Show asked what house at horror unleashed would you rotate out and what would you replace it with?
02:01:27
Speaker
Um, we didn't say our rankings. I guess this might be a good time to do that. Mine is from top to bottom scarecrow, monsters, exorcist, Texas chainsaw massacre.
02:01:42
Speaker
Same. Same. Mine is the same, but switch the the first two. Monsters and Scarecrow. Yeah. Monsters and Scarecrow. And then, you know, the North put Exorcist and then Texas.
02:01:55
Speaker
Yeah, we, um, Tyler, Joey and I were in the same group going through the houses. ra Rafa was in a different group than us. So it could have been just like a different experience that we got just to put that out there. But yeah, just similar, similar rankings. I kind of figured it would be. But so for me, I would get rid of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was my least favorite house there. I think like the Texas vibe is a little too similar to Scarecrow and I'd want to keep that. It's kind of that like, yeah, it's definitely different, but it's the most similar of the two. So I would put something in there like, I don't know, maybe something a little more campy.
02:02:29
Speaker
oh was missing like the campy. Give me Jason Universe in there.
02:02:38
Speaker
I'd be happy with that. I was thinking like a Goblins Feast. Yeah. yeah Something more classic Halloween, like goofy. i don't know.
02:02:48
Speaker
I just think that's something different. Different five. Yeah. I was thinking like it's in Vegas. What if they did like a sort of history of Vegas type one and theme it to a casino in the seventies or something?
02:03:04
Speaker
That could be cool. And have like mobsters and stuff. Yeah, exactly. Why not? don't know if you really want to do the theme to the city that you're in, but and don't know. As a non Vegas local, that sounds really cool to me.
02:03:18
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I like that idea. I would love for them to do like if they could rotate. I mean, I feel like I would keep obviously I would keep Scarecrow and monsters in there. Like if I were to rotate, like I would be okay with rotating the IPs um just because I feel like at least to help crowd wise, maybe that'll help. if they were to rotate those ips like the blumhouse ips do very well like if they were to like swap that for like a blumhouse kind of house yeah like if they're being greedy just put five nights in there and there'll be a line every day oh my gosh they would be set i will say though it's it's it's not like it looks like it'd be easy to just swap a house no like there's a lot of attention to detail in there that this doesn't rebuild yeah yeah yeah
02:04:06
Speaker
Yeah, I see this staying the same for a very long time. or as as ill get say I think so, too. Cool. Thanks, Joe. um And our last question, Dex asked, how do you think they keep Unleashed feeling fresh? Will they rotate houses one at a time or do a complete overhaul at some point?
02:04:24
Speaker
Yeah, I feel like that goes back to the the last question what we were talking about. um i I don't know. I feel like it's kind of hard to... i was like I was talking to him about this because like you would see billboards for like an it like experience. Like I think it's like an it um like an it the clown kind of like escape room. They also had saw stuff going on like they had the musical as well as an escape room for saw as well.
02:04:49
Speaker
So it's like I don't know. I feel like they they have to go for big IPs. But like when you have other experiences like that nearby, I can see it being difficult to like find something that's going to like set you guys, you know, apart from those other experiences.
02:05:03
Speaker
Yeah. And that goes back to like the marketing and advertising for this too. It's just like not in the most ideal location. they've They've done the area very well. It like looks like it could really be fun if it got some people in there. I just feel like their biggest audience right now is probably HHN Hollywood regulars that want check something else out.
02:05:25
Speaker
Yeah, I think they might need to look at their price point just in terms of attracting more um leisure visitors who maybe didn't know it was a thing and then they get there and want to do it because you know it's like $80 to $90 and it's like $120 plus for the unlimited. And I think that price point is kind of... preventing some people from maybe you know attacking it and and considering it more um i wonder if they were in more of the 50 to 60 range and if they cut some of the entertainment budget if that would help or something like that um because if you think of the price and divide it by the number of houses this is the same very similar price to hhn orlando for a one night event is it really a one yeah
02:06:10
Speaker
Because HHN Orlando is like 10 houses for $100, right? $100, yep. so That's what I'm saying. The price is similar, but you're getting ten four houses instead of 10. Correct. Your price per house is a lot higher here. but yeah you're not getting... I mean, you're getting these pop-up scare actors and shows, but yeah price per experience is exponentially higher. yeah Right, right. I feel like that price point like makes... like I feel like if you were in Orlando and you had that price point, like the locals would expect that they know what HHN is. They know how expensive, how expensive it is or, you know, whatever their price point is.
02:06:48
Speaker
But I feel like people just casually going to Vegas, like they're going to look at this and be like, why would I spend that much money on this? yeah you know so i think why would i spend 25 to go into house and i also think it was designed to be there for a while um just thinking about logistics of operating this because they i mean it's supposed to be 365. if you were to renovate one of the houses like the value proposition goes down tremendously by having one of your four houses down So I think if they ever do have an overhaul, they're going to have to fully shut it down. Even if they only reno like one or two houses, they're going to have fully shut it down for a period of time or like significantly reduce the I don't know if there's like room, more room in that.
02:07:34
Speaker
I don't know if all of the space has been utilized. I think it is. Yeah. might yeah I think, you know, it's probably more of like the five to 10 year plan when we're talking about refreshing this because I think it's going to stay the same for a while.
02:07:47
Speaker
Yeah. I feel like they screwed up a little bit without putting a major IP in there. like Nobody's going out of their way for Exorcist or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
02:07:58
Speaker
They should have put Stranger Things or a Five Nights or something that's going to draw those big crowds from everywhere to get people in. Yeah.
02:08:10
Speaker
Because that's what happens in Orlando. People come for the one or two houses that they're familiar with. And then maybe they'll stay for the rest of them. Like they need to draw somebody in with the one and then get them to realize, Hey, these are quality haunted houses. Like I'm going to, you know, check the rest of them out. I'm going to get dinner. I'll get a drink.
02:08:29
Speaker
They have to draw people in somehow and exorcists in Texas chainsaw are not doing that. feel they're just little outdated. Yeah. Yeah, and and i'm so I'm so surprised that they went with The Exorcist because people didn't even love the house when they had it a few years ago.
02:08:45
Speaker
So when they chose that, I was like, ooh. They just had so much exorcist stuff. They were like, this is easy. wonder if it had to do with like licensing a property for a full year or if they were trying to make it more evergreen instead of of the moment. Because like you know the ip the big IP houses at HHN are usually like things that came out that year. And they wouldn't necessarily be big other years.
02:09:12
Speaker
And the whole Exorcist franchise has been around for literally ever. That was like the first horror movie my dad experienced and like still talks about it to this day. So maybe it's aimed at capturing a wide audience. I don't know.
02:09:24
Speaker
And I did, I did see recently that they, um there's going to be a new Blumhouse Exorcist movie coming out. So maybe that will bring some people in.
02:09:34
Speaker
So I don't know. Yeah, maybe. Maybe. I'm really glad we went. I'm really glad that I didn't let the negative opinions of others impact my going to this because I was almost to the point where I was like, do we really want to include this in the itinerary?
02:09:49
Speaker
And i almost felt a little selfish doing it, but I think people had a good time. And I was, you didn't add it I would have gone. there's Yeah. yeah It greatly exceeded expectations. If you've heard kind of mixed reviews and you're on the fence about it, absolutely. You should go and check it out for yourself.
02:10:08
Speaker
Yes. Especially if you're a Horror Nights fan. For sure. yeah And even if you're not. Yeah, and I think that our biggest complaint was just the lack of people there. like Yeah. And I mean, it was great for us. We didn't have to wait for anything. Right. just The atmosphere was a little weird that way. Right.
02:10:24
Speaker
And one, before we finish up, one special shout out to the one scare actor that bothered Zach for about 20 straight minutes. Yeah.
02:10:34
Speaker
Our friend Zach was just standing there and the scare actor was directly in his face staring at him for at least 15 minutes. Zach was so uncomfortable. He had no idea what to do. It was hysterical.
02:10:48
Speaker
You know what's the funniest thing is this, this character character like could smell that Zach was the person to do this to. Oh yeah. one hundred so All right. We are way over time. We're going to run through this quick. Maybe we'll talk about it in more detail next time, but we're going to quickly run through um Horror Night Nightmares. We went over this last year. He releases speculation maps in different versions throughout the speculation season for HHN. He did one for Orlando and Hollywood last Christmas, and he did the same thing this year. So,
02:11:23
Speaker
We already previously had codenames that were filed for the houses on the permits. Now we have some symbols associated with the houses. And he typically, ah for the Christmas map, will make the symbols Christmas themed. um And as we know from the past, the locations of the houses are typically not as accurate on the speculation map. So the codenames may not actually match up with the symbol they're placed with for now. But in the spirit of speculation, we will...
02:11:50
Speaker
try to make them match up. And his maps typically get more accurate as time goes on. So this one is probably not super accurate, but we're going to talk about it anyways. This map shows 10 houses, four scare zones, and it looks like there's still two shows, one at the Lagoon, one at what was Nightmare Fuel, and a club horror-esque location with a like symbol that looks like it'll be used similarly, the same attractions open as last year. so same numbers of things, no met nothing at Mel's on this map, which is fine with me to be honest. um
02:12:29
Speaker
He uses the symbol of a present if he is not willing to share or does not know what's going on at that location. as He did the same thing last year. So we have a couple of those.
02:12:41
Speaker
I think when we go through, we'll see it still looks like an even 5-5 split in IPs and original houses. And he, or I guess somebody said that HHN Orlando was planning for five original houses for this 35th anniversary year. So that would make sense. And i did note which symbols are shared between Hollywood and Orlando. we'll go through that. So starting at soundstage 22, this was where El Artista was last year. and the code name for this house, which we know is true, is Balloon. And the symbol on this map is a jack-in-the-box popping out and scaring like what looks to be like an elf-ish toy or creature.
02:13:26
Speaker
And um I'm just going to go ahead and say this may be way too obvious, but we expect to see Jack the Clown at this year's event since it's an anniversary year. yeah I don't know if he would make the symbol this obvious for a Jack house, but it almost gives, and we talked about this when we talked about code names, a Jack versus some other icon. And I hope it's Jack versus Oddfellow.
02:13:49
Speaker
What do you guys think? This one isn't shared, right? Like with Hollywood? This one is shared with Hollywood, which is the only thing that's weird. Yeah, because when I... They don't have Jack.
02:14:02
Speaker
They don't have Jack over there. Now, unless they're trying to go hard on the Horror Unleashed promo, um it could be that. But then I still kind of feel like they might be going the It route.
02:14:15
Speaker
See, I think It is another one of these. Which is also something that puts up a red flag. Would they have a clown IP the same year that they're going to have a Jack house?
02:14:27
Speaker
in I don't know. Maybe. It's possible. I don't know. But yeah, I said maybe the balloon could stand for, obviously it's like clear that that could be like carnival-esque. It could be part of just like knowing it's an anniversary celebration and that's why we have Jack.
02:14:47
Speaker
um I wrote down, i went through like the history and wrote down Jack, where Jack has been in the past. he was the first original icon, the fourth icon overall. He was at Horror Nights 10.
02:15:00
Speaker
He returned 11 he was like in and out for a while. But then after that was at the Sweet 16 event and then 20th and 25th and... and 30th so he has been at every five year event for quite some time so I feel like we'll see him in some capacity whether he has a full house or if this is his house I don't know I mean the the symbol screams Jack but there are some things some red flags like you said it is shared on the Hollywood map as well which is strange
02:15:36
Speaker
Moving on Soundstage 23A, which is where WWE Wyatt Six was The code name for this house was Car. And the symbol for this is we have an upside down tower clock.
02:15:49
Speaker
Stranger Things. Yeah. Yeah. How could this not be? It's literally an upside down Henry Creel clock. Yeah. this has been a suspected IP anyway, so it it tracks. Suspected IP, similar location as other Stranger Things houses have been in a soundstage. I feel like it has to be.
02:16:08
Speaker
um i'm trying to connect car. Like, what is the car? i mean, there's a car in Stranger Things. We talked about this before. There's a car in every... thing horror i don't know if they're referring to like because this will be the the fifth season like the car that steve is driving a lot in like volume one or what but i don't know if you guys have any other thoughts it just i don't know how it could be anything else yeah that's got to be confirmed maybe not the location but it's going to be there yeah tyler are you excited tyler's ignoring speculation no i'm excited for stranger things okay
02:16:45
Speaker
but All right. Soundstage 23B. This is where Five Nights at Freddy's was. The codename is bus. And the symbol we are getting is a pin cushion.
02:16:57
Speaker
People are speculating. We already talked about there's some speculation that Hellraiser is going to be coming to um the event this year as one of the IPs this oh and I forgot to say the clock is also on the Hollywood map so is the pin cushion so third house in a row that is shared amongst Hollywood so I expect typically the shared things are IPs they don't typically do the same original at both locations in the same year mean, it's possible, but um I feel like this has to be Hellraiser. I mean, got the pins all up in his face.
02:17:32
Speaker
I looked up how this could tie to a bus and i saw that there is a bus stop location in London that is like themed to the Hellraiser movie or some sort of Hellraiser experience that there's like a bus thing. i don't know. It's loosely tied. Maybe that's where it came from. yeah i have never seen Hellraiser. any of you guys seen it?
02:17:55
Speaker
I have, and I don't remember it too much, but the character used to scare the crap out of me as a kid. So I think I just have that memory of it, but I do need to rewatch the movie. Yeah. So I just briefly looked up. it's It was the first movie came out in 1987. It was a British supernatural horror film based on the novella Hellbound Heart. um It's about a puzzle box that summons these creatures called Cenobites that are like sadomasochistic beings that can't differentiate pleasure versus pain.
02:18:23
Speaker
um I definitely need to do research on this. There were nine sequels apparently to this, which like I'm not going there. not doing the Jason thing again. i might watch the original and then there was a reboot in 2022, but that could be some homework we could potentially engage in during the spec season. I think it's probably a good movie to watch regardless of it coming to the event. So I'm interested. I'm interested. i don't have much to say about it because I don't really know about it, but I'm for it, I guess.
02:18:53
Speaker
He's definitely scary looking. Yeah. It terrified me as a kid. There's definitely a lot of like sexy undertones to this movie that I, I'm kind of surprised that HHN would take that on, but maybe I'm not surprised.
02:19:06
Speaker
Yeah. We didn't have club horror and we had the the girls dancing and stuff. So we have nightmare fuel. So maybe exactly. Okay, soundstage 24. So we have a 24A and a 24B, and it is unclear which code name is for A and B because they're like both listed as the same on the permit. So one of them is a chariot and one of them is a train.
02:19:30
Speaker
I'll tell you which one I think is which when we get to 24B, but 24A, which is where Insidious was, it was not used last year, is um the symbol of a present. So we do not know what's going on there. it is not on the other coast. So I'm assuming this is going to be an original house.
02:19:46
Speaker
And i think this one is codenamed train because I think the other one is chariot. We don't really have much to go off of. I don't know that we can speculate on something train related for an original. um Obviously we could come up with anything and tie it to that. Yeah.
02:20:04
Speaker
So we can kind of skip that for now, unless you guys have thoughts. No. Very confused. 24 B is located in the same place as grave of flesh. and the symbol is shared on both maps. And so that,
02:20:22
Speaker
Makes me believe it's an IP and it is a carton of eggnog. And this is what I think might be it. Welcome to dairy because eggnog is dairy. And because in the series, which I also have not seen, I guess there's like a missing poster of like that's, or a missing, the missing child thing is on like a egg cart or a milk carton or some sort of carton of something.
02:20:47
Speaker
um I also think that this might be code named chariot because there is a chariot, a well-known chariot cause a called the London Derry Chariot, which is in Ireland. It's like a historical carriage that um relates to like this prominent family of the town in Ireland. And I guess maybe that is where the the name Derry is not a real town in Maine, but that's it's set in Maine, but that's what it apparently has some connection to that. So i was like, maybe this London Derry Chariot
02:21:24
Speaker
is something to do with the code name and the dairy. I don't know. It could be train. I don't know. It could be either or, but I do feel like it. Welcome to dairy is obviously on right now, or just recently came out. The only thing that is weird is I don't know that they would have, like I said, Jack and Pennywise in the same year. Also, I've never seen it. So I'm getting a long homework list. I don't like clowns. and don't like at all.
02:21:50
Speaker
Yeah. I'm definitely gonna, I'm definitely gonna, get up to date a little bit better. but Yeah. Also, I mean, with the show being Welcome to Derry, like it's, it is, it does have it, the clown or Pennywise, you know, the clown in there, but i feel like there are so many other characters in there. So I could see them still trying to add it on there, even though we do have Jack the clown. Yeah. Cause it's not like centered specifically on Pennywise. Like he's like a main, like he is like ah like the, like a main character, yeah but like it's, it's more about like the little, so the little town that they're in.
02:22:23
Speaker
Okay. Yeah. I'm for that. and Any other thoughts on a carton of eggnog? nothing. you guys like eggnog? This answer is very important.
02:22:35
Speaker
Tyler? I've never had it. Okay. We're good. Everybody's good. It's freaking disgusting. Yeah, don't like it. Who drinks this? but Okay. don't look it All right.
02:22:47
Speaker
Moving on to the fast and furious location. and This is where Jason was. And um I have something for this. Do you? know The code name is helicopter.
02:22:58
Speaker
And the symbol is a like scowling wolf with a Santa hat on. The symbol is actually the logo for the Huntsville havoc ice hockey team.
02:23:12
Speaker
what do you find that out thanks google image thanks google lens hell yeah i get it what if it's like a hockey themed original that would be weird i'm not sure if they specifically use that logo for a reason but it is a specific logo for this ice rocky ta unless he familiar chris unless he just looked for a scowling wolf But it it didn't pop up when I just searched like wolf sports mascot because that's what I thought it looked like. I literally had to reverse image this to get it to show up. So i wonder if that's for a specific reason.
02:23:48
Speaker
Interesting. Where is the location of the team? Huntsville, Alabama. It's not even name of the Havoc ice hockey team. It's in the SPHL, the Southern Professional Hockey League.
02:24:00
Speaker
That's like. hu Interesting. I wonder if it's just like Alabama, though. Could be like, it's just reference Alabama. Who knows? See, I went more literal and this may or may not be right, but I guessed because it's not on the other map that it's original. And I guess a return of scary tales, like scary tales, because it seems like they've used scary tales pretty regularly on anniversary years as well.
02:24:25
Speaker
Yeah. I've never seen one, but I went through and looked at the history of all the different characters they've had in Scary Tales. And it sounds so fun. It sounds like a house that I would love.
Speculations on Future Attractions
02:24:35
Speaker
I think you would love it, Joey, because it's kind of got that like so slaughter cinema vibe, like different rooms. Yeah.
02:24:42
Speaker
So yeah, I was thinking that could be it too. I feel like that kind of um that location might be good for something like that too. Yeah, it depends on what they what they decide to do with it because like they've had it like the one year that I can't remember which one was the the scary tales that I i saw. um But they it was very like elaborately themed like it was a and it was it was in a soundstage too. So felt very...
02:25:08
Speaker
2018. Yeah. Ever after there was the wicked witch. There was han Hansel and Gretel. There was three little pigs, Rapunzel, little mermaid. Does that ring a bell? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. It was, it was very like heavily themed. So it was very much like a, like ah a soundstage house for sure. um But I don't if they can maybe make it.
02:25:30
Speaker
on a smaller scale. I feel like maybe they're not going to go as grand as they normally do if it is there in the Fast and Furious location. Well, if it is there, they better have the Wicked Wish of the West, let me tell you. Bring me some of that Elphaba energy into e j jen
02:25:47
Speaker
Cool. All right, moving on in tent number three, which is where Fallout was, the code name is Tractor. And we have this, what I thought at first was a very strange portable slot machine, but I was told later that is a combination lock.
02:26:03
Speaker
And if you reverse image this guy, which is also shared with the Hollywood map, it is the exact type of lock used in Resident Evil. Oh, good find. Yeah.
02:26:14
Speaker
And there's a new movie coming out this year.
02:26:19
Speaker
I never liked the video games, the video game ones. like, ah I don't know anything about this. I know that there's also movies. I looked it up. It's a Japanese horror game. And then it turned into like a whole media franchise. Um, it's like a shooter game played in first or third person. There's a lot of zombies in it, which I am so over it. I don't care about zombies. This is gonna be bottom of my hype list if it's true.
02:26:45
Speaker
Unless I watch the movies and I like them. But, um, just FYI in Resident Evil Village, there's a tractor that blocks the progress of your progress, like progress in the game where you have to find this jack handle to lift and crawl underneath the tractor blocking your path.
02:27:03
Speaker
So just FYI, I did some research there why it could be tractor. um Yeah. I also got excited. I was like, Ooh, maybe it's saw before I like reverse image the lock. um Because like Saul is kind of about like the escape room, like game trying to figure out a way out. I was like a combination lock, maybe that's saw, but which I would prefer to resident freaking evil. I should watch it before I speak, but I, my interest is low is what I'll say.
02:27:32
Speaker
Have you guys seen Resident Evil? Do you know anything about it? I've seen a couple of the movies and they're they're they're fine. They're not like amazing movies. Okay. Confirmed. Okay. Moving on.
02:27:45
Speaker
In tent four, which is where Gulkin was, codename was Hearst. And I am so excited about this, you guys. This symbol is a lighter with two cigarettes.
02:27:57
Speaker
One looks like it is smoked and one looks like it is not. Maybe that's just me. There's on the handle of the lighter, two snowflakes. And on the body of the lighter, there is a stack of presents.
02:28:10
Speaker
You guys, I think sinners is coming. I hope so. I'm so excited. Okay, hear me out. Snowflakes. There are no two snowflakes that are alike. I think they're poking at twins here because these snowflakes are alike. We got smoke and we got stack. and what else could this freaking be?
02:28:33
Speaker
It's got to be sinners, right? i hope. it It better be. It seems like it, yeah. I will die. I will be so excited. That's the perfect location for this house. That's why I'm very excited about that possibility because that would be the perfect location.
02:28:50
Speaker
Okay. How is codename Hearst tied to this? Dead people? Dead people. Vampires? Yeah, was going to say vampires probably. I mean, yeah. Maybe it's the wrong location, but who knows? It better be coming. Sinners better be coming. Sinners confirmed. There's no way that symbol means anything else.
02:29:08
Speaker
Right? There's no way. okay moving on you can tell i'm excited okay tent one which is where hatched and chains was the code name is shuttle and we have a skeleton rocker hand it has some christmas lights on it which i don't think mean anything couple of thoughts well the internet previously about the internet says that it could be heavy metal hell which was featured in slaughter cinema Which same location for Hatchet and Chains. So that's interesting. Heavy Metal Hell, if you don't remember, was that room with like the very neon teenage rocker with the Mohawk. The story is that he plays his record backward and then it unleashes it unleashes a hidden message that opens the gate to hell.
02:29:52
Speaker
Similar vibes to Hatchet and Chains with like the hellscape stuff, just really different storyline. i don't think it's like, I don't think it's impossible. It's not shared on the, on the Hollywood map. So it very well could be an original.
02:30:07
Speaker
There are some people saying also that this might be the Ozzy Osbourne house. We were talking about earlier with like, we talked about it in relationship to code name train. I don't know where shuttle comes in.
02:30:18
Speaker
at all in any of this. There's also been some rumors that Ice Nine Kills is going to have a house or be featured in a house since they have developed a relationship with HHN. um i think that'd be sick. Some people are saying it's heavy metal hell with music featuring Ice Nine Kills.
02:30:35
Speaker
I would be for that, I guess. I'm not really into the whole 3D thing. um Is this one in both of them or just... No, just Orlando. Okay.
02:30:47
Speaker
I don't know what shuttle, like when we interpreted shuttle, we had talked about like space and like sci-fi. I'm not really sure how that fits in, but last one, tent two which is where dolls was is, or those opposite? Did I get those opposite?
02:31:08
Speaker
I'm looking at the picture now. Tent one. Tent one is just a gift. We don't know. No, no, no, that's correct. That's correct. Tent. Oh, no, wait. Tent one is the gift. Yeah.
02:31:20
Speaker
We don't know what tent one is yet. So tent one though is where hatchet was. Correct. So I reversed those. Yeah. So tent one where hatchet was as the gift that shuttle tent two, which is where dolls was, is the skeleton hand. And that code name is wagon.
02:31:40
Speaker
Yeah. i have no idea. I was hoping that wagon could mean that Scarecrow is coming back, especially after this weekend. I'm like, bring me Scarecrow original, Scarecrow the sequel, Scarecrow version two I want to see in 10.
02:31:54
Speaker
yeah and a ten don't know, because, I mean, with some of, like, thinking about them going with the Hell Rocker thing from Slaughter Cinema, like, this doesn't feel like an anniversary, like, original house to me. I agree, but they, like, loved that guy. They had him at, like, the early events where they were announcing Slaughter Cinema. They had him as the character. that's true. She was, like, the piece of that house. I don't know if that means anything, but... Yeah, because I kind of, I would kind of see them going, like, doing...
02:32:23
Speaker
another slaughter cinema since they would do it. They did it like every two years. Yeah. Yeah. but Like, I don't know. We'll see yeah more will come. I think some of these are pretty solid.
02:32:35
Speaker
Like, I don't know how they could mean anything else, especially stranger things, hell razor and sinners. Um, but we'll see as time goes on, let us know what you guys think. We'll post a picture in the discord of the speculation app or I'll post it. I think it might've already been posted, but I'll post it again. If not, um,
02:32:53
Speaker
And yeah, more to come. Very exciting. We answered all of our questions. Thank you all for submitting those. um In the interest of time, we're just going to go right onto the exit. do you guys have anything else before I do that?
02:33:06
Speaker
We're good. Tyler is so annoyed that we just did speculation for that long.
