Speaker: I don't know. Starting recording, because it's a real shame that people don't get to hear about gel pen hieroglyphics.
Speaker: You'll never know what you missed. ah Good.
Speaker: don't know about that. i I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the Joel Penn hieroglyphics conversation. Some things are just just for the hosts. Surely yeah it'll be better in the imagination than the reality. that's It was a really good bit. I think you're right. Pause now and think through what that conversation was.
Speaker: Welcome back. This is the season finale of Snap on This. Should we let it rip? yeah let's uh i was like what are we with it i was like this may be a rhetorical question but i'm answering i've never no i want answers this is a this is a three-person show um we are bumping it up a week early no no we're not we're not doing ratings never mind we are looking at the data mines for vampires versus zombies ever prepared, as we always are. um These are cards we haven't talked about yet, so we thought that might be an interesting interesting way to go. um
Speaker: Okay, first importantly, though, each of you have to say whether you're your team, vampires or zombies. Not in the basis of the cards, just spiritually. Yeah. Deeply vampires. I know, I guess it's pretty odd. Who like who like is like chooses zombie over vampire? i guess this was... I have complicated feelings. Okay, but... thankss Go ahead. Please explain. All right. So one thing you may not know about me is that like, I don't know. i used to used to draw some pictures and things.
Speaker: I still draw some pictures and things. We've done it for secret homework. But below yeah, I could draw some pretty fucking good zombies. I mean, you would want to be one. No. Here's the other thing.
Speaker: i don't like... i think that a lot of like zombie media is whack and bad and like not good. And I think that vampire media is generally more interesting.
Speaker: and i mean like there There are exceptions to the zombie media being whack and not good. and i don't know. I think some of it speaks to I don't know. Anyway, I, I'm just, I'm saying like, I got pretty complicated feelings about zombies. I do draw them real good, but, um, but like, yeah, vampire media tends to be better and doper. And like, don't, don't you want to like, I don't know. I do like some zombie stuff though. 28 years later, I recently, rewatched the the dang bone temple with my partner and, uh,
Speaker: God, that movie fucking rips it so good. Okay. Anyway, I've watched it. I guess. 28 years later, The Bone Temple. It's better than The Marvels. I liked The Marvels better than The Marvels. So if you're like, well, I saw The Marvels and I thought it was only okay. Sure.
Speaker: but Watch the friggin' Bone Temple anyway. It's so good. Okay. I still need to watch both. um I guess people who are zombie fans are not typically, i want to be a zombie, but they want to... They want to murder their neighbors. They enjoy the fantasy of go-free murder. Yeah. Apocalypse.
Speaker: Yeah. Or if we want to give it a more positive spin, then yeah. Like, emergency preparedness. Apocalypse. Because it feels real. Like... yeah ah Maybe maybe um you know the elite wouldn't be so elite in that universe, whereas vampires you know proposes a system where we' getting you expect people who live forever probably are going to hit the 1% and stay there.
Speaker: But I feel like we're missing the core. It's like sex versus violence, right? Yeah. zombies being sexy means like proud you know like you're in in a different class of like kinks and the rest of us and then but like vampires are like you know like they they always get sexy so it go ahead i haven't seen any of these um i've recently been watching in our house we've been watching some disney channel original movies we've been um catching up on the descendants
Speaker: Because they've made five of them. And the premise seemed pretty silly to me. And we've seen the first three. And they're wild. They have music. ah They have music.
Speaker: That's indisputable. Fun music. yes Some of the music it has been fun. I liked in the first one how like like four times throughout the movie. I think once for each of the VKs. That stands for villain kids. It's ah not a thing so much in the first one as it is in the the second one. right But anyway...
Speaker: at some point after each one has like a moment or whatever, there's just like a little no baby reprise of like, rotten to the core. And it has so much vocal fry on it. That's the first song. They're the song about being rotten to the core. And like, who could ask for more more?
Speaker: Not sure. Kid next, kid next door. It's like, the music did you like kristin uh i liked kristin chenoweth always do ah all maybe you could catch her in like schmigadoon or something where she gets to sing like a better song than that um well end up the fourth one is mid but the fifth one is fun again Okay, see, that's the thing. I wanted to watch these because the writer of the fifth one was on a podcast. And I was like, well, you're funny on this podcast. I'll check out your your Disney Channel original movie. And like then i gauged enthusiasm in the household, and enthusiasm was high ah for checking this out. But what i this digression all came about because...
Speaker: The only thing bigger than these fucking Descendants movies, apparently, in in my nieces and nephews like world or whatever, is Zombies, which I think is like High School Musical, but with zombies in And then there's like four of them.
Speaker: At least. It looks it looks it looks like a lot of a lot of viewing if we decide to go down this road. ah Anyway... Oh...
Speaker: oh Another thing, one of them one of the hockey players in Letterkenny showed up in Descendants, and that that was mind-blowing to me. But anyway, I'm like, what what what are the what what's the next what's the what are the youths, how are they going to feel about zombies, and how much that is going to be informed by these super popular Disney Channel original movies, or whatever? like yeah is that going to like really like define their...
Speaker: I don't know. I'm just curious. They are going to perceive zombies as desirable. Maybe. Maybe. And is there anything wrong with that? i don't know. He's like their star football player or something. Spoilers for the first one. That's shit, Lauren. Okay. I know.
Speaker: um Those movies are okay, too. um um We're going to check them out. It seems like seems likely. If anything, I like i really like...
Speaker: how ridiculous the costume design and set design and just the premise and, and everybody taking things. So taking everything so earnestly, ah kind of appreciate all that.
Speaker: Let's pour our hearts and souls into something that is ultimately for children. ah All day long card games. They're not, they're not just for children. They're also for very cool adults.
Speaker: Okay, what team are you two on? Did we establish? ben is Ben is ambiguous. Rhi, do you have an opinion on this? It's just that vampires are expected to be symmetrical and it's much easier to draw zombies because it's fine if if you do something asymmetrical. Just make it intentional a gruesome wound. you know like ah oh If you drew one good hand and you don't think you can follow it up with the perfect sequel, ah guess what? The other one's got a severed stump. It's fine. yeah yeah
Speaker: that The zombies are so forgiving to draw. I highly recommend if you don't want to beat yourself up. But Vampos, they've got to be beautiful and symmetrical and shit. so That's true. I don't know.
Speaker: Sorry, Rhi. I need to know your real, true, deep stance about these undeads. Okay. um Briefly, didn't mean to super-divail us. No, it's Okay. um all I guess to me, like you were saying earlier, learn you have to look at it as like the world and as i'm saying the media versus like which you would want to be, because obviously there's no generally ye and be I mean, some people maybe dream about being rotting mindless flesh. That's understandable in this day and age. But, like, you know, mortality while probably being beautiful.
Speaker: um Sounds pretty good. so um as for the yeah, you know, I mean, I guess I've been clear. Kind of, like, just at one point i was really into zombies and then I just kind of, like...
Speaker: God, when is the last time I've read anything with vampires I've liked either, to be honest? I like don't like teenage love triangles. And it feels like it's like conquered the vampire space. And then the zombie space is like, how brutal can we be on television? i feel like it's the competition. and' like, I know that...
Speaker: I don't know about all that. So, um, I don't know Fairies? That's where I'm at. I've read both zombie romance and vampire romance within the last few years.
Speaker: These things are both, these things both exist. Yeah, but, you know, it's like it's like zombies where, like, it can be suppressed with drugs or, like, you know, artificial synthetic flesh or synthetic brains, right? Just like just like they've done synthetic blood for vampires in media before, right?
Speaker: Yes. You're right. They've done all those zombies. Those were funny. Yeah. The, like, various... various like modern zombie brain brain zombie but they all like have they've all kept their intelligence which has kind of just changed the whole nature i've i've enjoyed the recent uh interview with the vampire series i think we're somewhere in season two and we haven't watched in year but i think we'll resume someday um you know with some hot vampo media that
Speaker: I loved, i loved that. loved Ryan Coogler's Sinners. That movie fucking rips, yo. um it's It's up there with 28 Years Later, The Bone Temple. Both of them have ah that one guy. that or Jimmy Crystal and Remick, and I don't remember the actor's name, but the same actor. in He doesn't play a Zombo in 28 Years Later, but he does play a Vampo in Sinners, so.
Speaker: Is Santa Clarita Diet, is that one zombies? Yeah, those zombies. It's kind of sexy zombies. kind of I mean, yeah. It's like tolerable zombies. Yeah, I mean, yeah.
Speaker: All right. Speaking of, just kidding, the first one's a vampire. Ben, tell us about our season pass. ah Ah, back to the show notes. All right.
Speaker: We're talking about Vampo Killmonger, is that correct? Vampire Killmonger. This is a 2-2 card. A character card, kno not a skill card. Don't get it twisted.
Speaker: End of turn. If you spent all your energy, get a Vampiric Spear.
Speaker: I don't know what a Vampiric Spear... oh ha Also in the show notes. Vampiric Spear. This one is a skill. Don't get that twisted either. um And here's... it it costs one energy.
Speaker: On reveal, Vampire Killmonger steals two power from a character in your opponent's hand. Wow. So that's kind of neato. This one is not friends with the the high Evo stuff. We're spending all our energy.
Speaker: ah this This one's like a Wiccan friend. or so i mean I don't know if they actually go together, but like I like that we're pulling in that direction this time. think that's super cool. um i don't love stealing power from cards in hand because ah the classic move is to not play those cards um when they have the power stolen from them. But I don't know. I know. don't know. i don't know this is an interesting, exciting card. Are we interested and excited for Vampire Killmonger? That's like too close to Clea for me. I guess it's like triggered in a whole different way with the spending of the energy
Speaker: and um you know, being end of turn. So there's like different synergies to go there, but it's not like exciting new stuff.
Speaker: Feels like gonna do similar stuff. i don't know. Seems like a Scratch friend. Scratch needs friends. Definitely. wolf yeah Werewolf and Zombie Scarlet Witch and that sort of thing.
Speaker: um Angela Bishop. ah Venus. This one plays nice with Venus, which Clea doesn't. um Do you guys think Venus is too powerful?
Speaker: no really i I've seen a lot of people saying she is. i haven't come away with that. um But she is certainly important in the decks that she goes in.
Speaker: Yeah, I think mostly she's cool and she enables things that just could not hang. She's what allows the little cards to have a shot? Is that what you're saying, Ben? Yeah, she's the cool kid that like gets the nerdy kid invited to things.
Speaker: It is interesting, though. She plays nice with things like Cowboy Thanos, too. So sometimes you you see her in decks that don't have a very low curve. And I guess sometimes she's worth it there, too
Speaker: This card feels in between Clea and Merlin to me. ah i like that it has internal synergy, right? Having a handful of one-cost Spears makes it easier for you to fulfill his requirement. I like that.
Speaker: um And I think he probably is a Wiccan friend. ah You see Wiccan play things like Merlin or Kate Bishop to help with the curve, and this could do that too, and then also be something that pays off from playing that way.
Speaker: ah It's fine. The scaling is pretty strong But they really made that a thing. like It used to be like affliction, you know? but now it's not even like a full, it's just kind of spread. It's like almost the same idea as throwing power on your cards. It's just everywhere. It's like the idea of then afflicting some amount of power without it being what your entire deck is about.
Speaker: I wonder if one reason they're doing this is because it's it's only half affected by Luke Cage. Right? If Luke Cage is out, you can still take two power from hand. Oh. Even if they end up playing that card and protecting it with Luke Cage, you still get the two. Yeah.
Speaker: But also... don't I don't like my power being taken from me. Yeah, don't know. I agree with that. I just stealing from hand is just I don't know.
Speaker: I guess growing to every turn, even if they never play the the shrunken cards. I don't know. it's okay It seems like it's probably a winner. That's that's kind of my suspicion.
Speaker: It seems like it has enough synergies that even if you aren't like fully benefiting from the steals, you're still getting something. you're helping your curve or you're feeding the werewolf or the Nicholas scratch. I mean, really shouldn't use him as the basis, but maybe, maybe this is the card that hits critical mass. I mean, come on. Yeah, we're getting there. We're getting there.
Speaker: We got a lot of, it's not about the the skills that start in your deck. It's all about these generators, your Merlins, your new Scarlet Witches, your Vampokillmongers. That's what I think. And I think like between the three of those, I think we're making a lot ah lot of spellies, lot of skillers.
Speaker: Some cold-blooded skillers. Super premium ring. If we're doing, then it is zombie blade who is two costs and three power with the ability end of turn. If you played an on reveal, your zombie horde steals one power from a character in your opponent's hand.
Speaker: Horde first if necessary.
Speaker: um Oh yeah, I guess I'm up first. So I, uh, yeah, i mean,
Speaker: I don't know that I'm like not excited i guess I'm sorry. It's just like okay yeah. It's a card you play a lot of on reveals. go ahead.
Speaker: Thematically i think it's silly because Blade is already half a vampire right? So you can't make vampire Blade. so let's go with zombie. Could have just picked a different character. but Yeah.
Speaker: Or maybe just make a not zombie blade. Maybe just make another blade if we're if we're doing retreads. like It just doesn't make much sense for a vampo to also be a zombie. I don't know.
Speaker: Yeah. Redundant. So as as you'll see with the other vampires we get to, is they're doing the vampire steal from hand. And so Blade kind of does too, even though he's zombie. He's a zombie and a vampire. He's both. I guess I can give him points for that.
Speaker: And i you know, the existing zombies we have, this is something I pointed out in my review with Scott earlier this week. The existing zombies we have, Dracula and Morbius, also sort of pull power from hand. Dracula does more directly than morbius does but still i like that they they found a way to tie that in um so they get some points for that and also not because i don't know it seems tenuous i think zombifying and vampirifying everything is a little silly but I guess overall it is good. I'm glad they're giving zombies more cards. It is a whole archetype that people like and it's like it's really stale to have like nothing new to do with it. So I'm i'm glad they're bringing out more.
Speaker: Yeah and that that deck as is runs quite a few on reveals. um It at least has Hunger, Zombie Giant Man, Zombie Mr. Fantastic, the sombtime Zombie Sentry.
Speaker: Seems okay. They're just so, like... They're just, like, lines of text. I don't know. It's, like... It's not an exciting of I've been reading this book, like, The Discovery of Poetry by Francis Meuse.
Speaker: And, you know, it's talking about... mean When you're looking at, like, a poem, like, a card, right? You want... Like you want there to be an idea that comes across that is like draws you in that is meaningful. You can't just have like. Yeah.
Speaker: Random lines of text. I think that's why I'm so like unexcited by these because it's not like, you know, we keep we brought it back like even. ah Fractured Frontier Thanos, right? Like there's this idea of the revolving loading cowboy, blaant that and both mechanically, thematically, also with like Galactus coming and destroying locations, like death reviving all the cards. It's like an idea you can wrap around your brain. This is just like, like, this is like the, the Mad Libs of like, get power from hand, you know, to opponent and this, and it's like, how do I get excited about this? This isn't like a narrative. This isn't a thing I am excited to do. So the only way you can look about it is like, okay, well, what do I play this in? You know? and and it's like, it's more exciting when you get a card that it's like, what, not what you're, where, where do I, where, where can I fit this? What does it go into? It's like how I build for this card because it's
Speaker: um you know how do i make it do its thing yeah big and cry about like the i mean i do think that it's like identity is just like not very distinctive or interesting but like gosh, this card doesn't really do anything if you don't have Zombie Giant Man.
Speaker: like this This stealing one power from a character in your opponent's hand once per turn is like not. That ain't it. and like You have to hope that you're multiplying it like three times by like doing two Zombie Giant Mans. or something like i just I don't see what... This card seems like a real stinker to me.
Speaker: Two-three that like doesn't really do anything. I don't know. You have to do a lot to scale it for sure. So much. It's not hard to play a non-reveal. So like, I'm just, I'm honestly like sort of evaluating it as just like, you're a zombie horde steals one power from a character every turn. And like, that's still not anything. I don't know.
Speaker: That's how it seems to me. Just looking to abuse synergies, right? With these cards? That's what you're looking at it for. You'd have to. Like, you must. It's not exciting. don't know.
Speaker: All right. Next one. Zombie Venom 3-3 on reveal. Did I go too fast? Destroy your first other card here. That's new wording. After one of your other cards is destroyed, Horde 2.
Speaker: ah Trying to make a zombies destroy hybrid. This is something that Scott and I sort of failed to envision, but ah has since been pointed out to me that Firehair Zombies is already kind of a real deck. Okay.
Speaker: so and zombie venom certainly does feed that um you do something like kid omega or venom with fire hair and zombie giant man and you can get a decent amount of power doing that so i don't know how hard marvel belong yeah she's interesting because she's like she's a zombie but she doesn't have any horde mechanics yeah But like also doesn't seem to play nicely with this card.
Speaker: I actually could destroy three cards. That's horde six. Like that's not necessarily a problem. Oh, I thought it was like at this location, but no, it's just it's a wait.
Speaker: I think his on reveal. He's got an on reveal and then he's got like a static effect. I think so. I think that the trigger after one of your other cards is destroyed horde two. i think that's separate from the honor and that can go multiple times.
Speaker: Okay. Okay. All right. Yeah. Kind of it like a destroy Morbius sort of, except throwing the power to a different. Okay. Okay. Oh, that's an interesting way to think of it.
Speaker: Not retroactive, but kind of. Yeah. It's kind of more like a, more like a destroy Craven that throws the the power. It's actually something Scott entertained us. Like, do you maybe not play this in hyper? Like, do you just play this for extra points and destroy it? I'm like, that's not the craziest idea. Like, get an extra body to destroy or consume to feed your death or your gnome. Maybe.
Speaker: yeah I don't know. I kind of like this guy. i I at least want to think about it more than I wanted to think about zombie blade.
Speaker: Were any any thoughts on zombie venom? I don't feel like I have anything meaningful. Okay. this one That's never stopped me. All right, Ben.
Speaker: Next one. Vampire Enchantress.
Speaker: She's 6'7". And, six seven and um On reveal, for each different cost among your cards in play, steal one power from an enemy card here.
Speaker: I mean,
Speaker: you only have to, you know, it if you have four different costs among your cards in play, she's better than the Hulk. So, pretty cool, huh?
Speaker: Hmm. How many more cards than four or how many more costs than four are you going to get there though? Like how much better than the Hulk is she? I think you can realistically get five, right? Like you can. So she can realistically be a bit better than the Hulk.
Speaker: Six, seven, sometimes still smaller than smaller than Orca, but doesn't have to be left alone. And the unrevealed can be repeated.
Speaker: She's a six, so it's hard to do that without a lot of extra work. Yes, is. have have, like, Wong. Telegraph it. And, like, Wong is it really weren't worth it. Yeah, it feels like this isn't... You'd want to cheat things out using the little ways, like, Chameleon or Mother Ascani, or, like, you know? And it's like, I don't see what... I was trying to sit here thinking, what of...
Speaker: In what way are you like doubling this up or doing something like that to like get it to be feel worth it Take that deck slot. And I'm like, I can't figure out what the card is that you're... What tricks your pawn? think this card gets buffed before release. I don't think comes as a 6-7.
Speaker: Venus is okay. You can't double it with with Big Scorpion because he's also a 6. so i'm i You could, but that would take ramping. Also, they're the same cost, so you're not even getting... i it It's ugly.
Speaker: that's it i actually think she's pretty big. I think she is... the same sort of card as a galactus first steps i know we keep saying hulk but like galactus first steps red hulk i think she's in the same vein but she for better or worse doesn't announce her presence the same way that those do sometimes you play around the fact that your opponent's expecting a six big red hulk and then you don't play it
Speaker: I mean, she's a lane winner, but then you need to be winning the other lane Like, some you know, like, that's always the problem with Galactus. It's like, yeah, you'll win that lane, but you needed to win two and you need to beef up some power.
Speaker: Also, she's a modern blob. I did not mean classic blob when blob was like, oh But yeah, just like one lane, no no help to the other lanes. Yeah. Right, that was the problem with success cards. That's why like, that's like one of the reasons fives were reigning, are reigning. Whenever they're reigning, it's like, oh, like splitting, being able to split your power in last turn.
Speaker: It's nice. yeah If you're not playing it a turn early. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: Or even Force. Force is do well for you know being able to play more than one card a turn. Okay. she's She's okay.
Speaker: I hope so. She also steals, but not from hand. I mean, that's better than stealing from hand. I just think the the size and the impact is too local, and it's not...
Speaker: enough i don't I feel like they think that there's just an idea, like, to cap the amount of power goes. You start stealing power, and it gets more of a back and forth of the power in play.
Speaker: But it's like, i don't like, i feel like they're just driving me to to play Shadow King. I don't want to do that. I really don't want to that. I've been doing it more and more. i really have, because it's just like...
Speaker: that's how That's how you be a Scorpion brand new day. you know Just don't let their their one hazmat they play. that Okay. you
Speaker: you have more to say? Should we move on to Zombie Nova? We can go on.
Speaker: and Okay. ah Zombie Nova is a 2 cost 0 power um with on reveal and when destroyed Horde plus 3.
Speaker: So I guess a limited time game mode but like man that seems good.
Speaker: It's fun. i like I like it. It's cool. Because, like, I feel like even and without playing zombies, it's like, sure, I'll have another three-cost thing to destroy.
Speaker: Like, it's better than... it is It's not one cost, it's two costs. I recognize that that's, like, huge. But I'm like, uh, you know.
Speaker: Seems decent. For, like, destroy things, anyway. Yeah. I just, i I had to scroll down through the rest of the list to see if there was one of these. I'm just like, I think it's a little bit hindered by there's like exactly one card that cares about the size of your horde and pays that off. And I was like, is there another one coming this season? Spoiler alert. Nah. It's just zombie giant man that makes this anything better than ah a 2-6. 2-6.
Speaker: Yeah. I just don't, I don't know about that. But it's cool. I like it. If it were 2.8, 2.10, might get more excited. You don't think 2.6 is good? but When I first saw it and it's 2.6 with chores, I was like, that's not. That's below average. 2.6 is like... 2.6 that doesn't ask you to do anything is kind of like mid, right? like that's That's like the middle of two right now.
Speaker: Like Hawkeye's a 1.5 that doesn't ask you to do anything, basically. How can ask you to do something? Also, one is not a good example because they they scale ones bigger than twos because of the Killmonger of vulnerability. um But I realized if you're playing this in that Destroy Horde deck, the Unreveal means it's an extra Horde 3 for Firehair, and then it's a 2-9.
Speaker: So I do think it belongs in that deck. um The deck that it is clearly telling you to put it in, i don't think it can go anywhere else. Yeah.
Speaker: You know what I love about Firehair? guess you're right. It's like, it's just like Surge in that it gives you a safe place to play your Cosmo on three for guaranteed value, like, all game long.
Speaker: It's, it's like such an invite. You're such a jerk. Just like, play Cosmo here. And like, Surge the same way. Like, you don't have to like read anything. Invisible woman that You just have to read the card that's on the board. Yeah.
Speaker: Invisible woman too, does it? She's sort of the classic. Mm-hmm. Park Cosmo here cards. Oh, so cool.
Speaker: ah no I've been playing a lot of Cosmo and folks are playing Firehair and it's just been on my mind. I've been playing Firehair. Cosmo's strong. I love Firehair. She's my secret favorite card. um Zombie Black Cat, a 3-5. When discarded, discard another when discarded card. Which is a very funny sentence but a very cool ability.
Speaker: Jump to your location with the fewest cards. You couldn't hear it from Lauren's voice, but when discarded is bold. So they're keywording when discarded, like end of turn, objective, like that kind of thing. So you'll be able score for I should have had it up. It's like X-23, Wolverine, Scorn, Weapon H, Apocalypse, Helicarrier. Proxima Midnight.
Speaker: Proxima Midnight, Mero, and Konshu. We got all of them, or almost all of them. It is not Muramasa Shard, which is stupid. um It's... absurd um Maybe that'll change because it could easily it could easily use the same text as Wolverine and X-23. Anyway, this card is cool as hell. This card actually does something. this card does something new. um It like chains a discard. It lets you use Corvus or MODOK to double hit your APOC or Weapon H or Coneshoe.
Speaker: It... does the proxima midnight thing but in a slightly different way fewest cards is different from lowest power this is i man this card's so cool we're not gonna we're gonna rate these cards but i'm giving it four right here right now this card will see play and it's cool it's super strong super fun super interesting cannot wait to play it most exciting card recent memory wow
Speaker: Sorry, I'm very enthusiastic about this design. I'm like, oh, that's that's the juice.
Speaker: I want to hear something from you, because you're a discard enthusiast. You are! taught us all the respect to Dracula. now it's okay. I... ah Yeah, no, I was just... I was last summer since just trying to catch up. Okay, in my brain.
Speaker: um i Yeah, I do like this. I like, you know, as I said, discard. I still play ah decent of it but I haven't been excited by it for a while.
Speaker: so maybe this will bring it back. Yeah, Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder. Maybe you'll have more fun with discard when when this hits than have life. what I've been playing, though, my discard card. So I do have, it's actually, it's all backwards because I have comfy discard is just what I've been calling because it's got Dracula and Apex and Meek, you know, which speaks. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: discard comforts, you know, of the Martha Stewart of discards would be like, yes, this is how you express comfort. It's a good thing. guests And yeah, bre but like,
Speaker: But it's not what I play for discard comfort. What I've been playing is my small helideck that really, like, tight-lo... Because it's got... I also just... Before, i think, there was there was a before time where different card. Now it also has Black Bolt, just to make him discard a third time, because it also has Silver Samurai and Moon Knight.
Speaker: And so... um The problem the problem i have, Moon Knight's power has grown weak. Like I had mentioned, like, I'm like, I felt bad when I said the other week that Legion was probably my favorite card of all time because it's really honestly probably true. And I used to say that about Moon Knight. The power of the moon has grown weak because, like...
Speaker: The cards that were in your hand used to matter more. You know, now it's just like, it's so cheap to get them all, you know, you got, and then there's all these, like these infinity stones that you used to think were cool, but now they come a dime a dozen. You know what i mean? It's multiverses of infinity stones. Like in season one Loki, when he finds out that there's just little junk drawer full of them at the tv And then he threatens to gut Eugene Cordero like a fish.
Speaker: I used to send forth a Moon Knight, and then I would get to watch the the imaginary despair in my opponent's avatar's eyes as like they lost their big plan combo piece. you know or um and you know same with Silver Samurai. you know The little cards used to matter more, all of that stuff, and now they're just like...
Speaker: I don't even care. I don't care about that. Like, whatever Infinity Stone that was, whatever it did. Like, who cares? I got a million cards in my hand. I'll generate more. So easy. And it's like, so it's just like, I don't know, getting your opponent to discard a card.
Speaker: It means so much less. It goes so much less far in the snap economy. And ah yeah, I guess we're in Sun Lord more style. You know, that is the era. And so those of us of the moon, I've had to retreat into the night. It's very sad. That's feel about it.
Speaker: I have a thought. And that is you know who we need a card of in Marvel's snap? The Kate Berlant character from season one of Loki, who says some of us really need this at the Renaissance fair when the TVA show up and she thinks they're like those people who show up in Star Trek uniforms at the Renaissance fair. Anyway, she really crushed it.
Speaker: And I just keep hoping that that character makes another appearance. um i think it's in the 1980s, though. so She'd have to wear some like super old age makeup or something if she showed up in the present day. But I think Kate Berlant is down to do that. She crushes it all the time.
Speaker: Get a card of the the Kate Berlant Renaissance Fair Lady. that's ah That's my my thought. Sorry. ah Doing random side character like that would be kind of fun.
Speaker: Just do a couple of them. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, we got Jubilee Silver Surfer. We can... Anyone who showed up for a second in a television show is fair game. is Technically. Let's hear the last Series 5 card, Ben.
Speaker: Are we referring to Vampire Deacon Frost? Yes, who as far as I know is always vampire. that guy empire ordinarily a vampire? Yeah, I really don't like his name.
Speaker: i Yeah, yeah. Maybe just print a Deacon Frost card first. I believe this was a bad guy in the Blade film. Okay, do you think they're putting vampire in the title then? Because they think at some point they'll reference, you know, vampire. A non-Vampo Deacon Frost? You know, like vampire cards will referenced. Oh, vampire lord Well, then why why isn't Dracula vampire Dracula?
Speaker: quiet wait it's Because they didn't have the foresight, Ben. They need to add creature types to these cards. Stat. I guess. i They super don't, actually. They really, really don't. Don't do it. Marvel Snap. Don't don't go down that road. I mean, like... They've gone down so many roads.
Speaker: this one would not be it would not be like accessibility for work you know like what would robert frost think about this situation that's what i want to know about all these roads these paths all right sorry don't do creature continue with your thoughts about Oh, um I haven't even told us what ah Vampire Deacon Frost. I'm sorry, the name just gets me. ah Point is, he costs four. He's got five power.
Speaker: ah And it's an objective card. Haven't seen one of those in a little while. ah Three of your cards have stolen power. That's the objective. And then I assume there's an arrow here. And the transform into Crimson Behemoth.
Speaker: And Crimson Behemoth is a 4-9. The 4 probably not that important most of the time unless you're Magneto. Magneto cares, but nobody else does because you already played this card.
Speaker: um Anyway, it's a 9. 9 power. On reveal, steal all the power of a front row enemy card here. How very Fumian.
Speaker: Yeah. But you mean it very Fumian. It's like extra Fumian. Yeah, yeah. It's Fumian, and then... so I mean, like it's kind of like classic Fum. You're getting, like... ah You're not stealing... you're You're stealing the power from one card, but it's sort of like if you... Yeah, copy the power from the front row cards. It's very Fum-like.
Speaker: Fum classic. It's like, well I get that he only costs four, but like he requires a lot of... It's like, why would I want this dude where I can summon a dragon? right i mean heat okay he's He is kind of the vampire lord. He's the ah he's the second lane winner after you play a Vampire Enchantress.
Speaker: He's a Silver Sable friend. Yeah, there's a bunch of other cards that steal. The stolen power doesn't have to be from a card in play who had it stolen from them. Yeah... ah yeah I guess it's more powerful than Foom because it like it steals it. It doesn't like.
Speaker: I mean, like it depends on how big it is, because Foom starts at like what, 14 now or something. He. Does he start something? He got a pretty big buff. um I would have to look, though, be sure. Because he was nerfed hard. Yeah. a 14 right 714.
Speaker: he's a fourteen right now seven fourteen
Speaker: I mean, this card, when it works for your money, work like, yeah, it's it's such a such a strong investment when it pays off. um Yeah, I don't love the design. I don't I don't know if it's like going to be like.
Speaker: I bet I bet it'll probably be pretty good, but like, don't like it if you time it right because it's an objective. is something I don't like about objective is priority doesn't frickin matter.
Speaker: you can pull this out after turn six ends. ah yeah Who cares about Shadow King? I feel like, okay, I think I've been trying to say, it's like, why does all this stealing power, why do I hate it so much? You know, let me let me zero in on what about it is just rubbing me the wrong way.
Speaker: And I feel like it takes away stealing, like, having lots of ways to steal power. It's kind of taking away some other meaningful choices. Like, when you feel filled a lane, right? That was, like, a big deal. And you would do it because you expected to, like...
Speaker: you were either just giving it up, you expected to get it larger and a different, you know i mean? You had tricks. and And when someone else was doing it, right, it was just like you could read more into it. And now it's like, who cares? Slap out cards, whatever. You can just like, you know, splash negatives on their cards. I don't know. and It's like that game with all the stealing power back and forth, it gets harder for me to like read the states of the game, right? To read who's going to win a location. It is so much more difficult. Whereas before it's like, okay, if they've closed out a lane, you know what I mean? I know whether I can win it or not, or I have ideas of the ways they can add power to it.
Speaker: But there's so many cards with the objective or with the on that just steal from cards on the board. And it's like, how do you make decisions? And that's when you're just looking at the board afterward, like, I guess, I guess, like, I guess they win, you know? and um, all right.
Speaker: Yeah, I think your point is, like, the larger issue than the point I'm about to make, but, like, I think the reason I don't like steel power is that it's like they think it's more interesting than boost slot, but it's just boost slop. It's still just boost slop. It's just the same. It's not, it's like you, you found like the world's most boring synonym. It's like not, not almost all cases. It's the same thing.
Speaker: Yeah. Um, you know, stealing from, uh, an iron man or captain Carter makes it a little different, but it is still largely the same thing.
Speaker: And I said hi kind of think Luke Cage, even in his half form, still kind of just shits all over this archetype. Also, this card specifically, Luke Cage shits all over.
Speaker: It's like, got a target front row. It's not not a random card at this location.
Speaker: You can get... I'm trying to think of all the steel cards. I know there's ones and threes. I'm trying to think if there's a two. I guess... ah Killmonger and and Blade are both.
Speaker: But you could get Deacon Frost to trigger pretty early. If you wanted to If you wanted to have Luke only half stop you. But you could also trigger super late with a Spider Punk.
Speaker: Yeah, I like that. That's cool.
Speaker: Hmm. Um...
Speaker: Do you have more thoughts? No. Good to go on. Last LTGM. Then, yeah. So this is a Vampire America Chavez.
Speaker: um So three costs for power. unre reveal, for each location you're winning, steal one power from the top character of your opponent's deck.
Speaker: Um, I don't love it for the same reasons I was complaining earlier in that it reads like kind of lines. It's just lines of text. Like I get the inverse of your usual ability, but it's like you just kind of have to look at it by the mechanics. So it's like, okay, for each location, right so this isn't a prio type deck.
Speaker: You know, and the stealing one power, it's like, okay, maybe that'll combo if you're trying to, with various cards you're trying to do with the end. so And that's how you have to think about this card. And that just, I like when a card, like, just kind of, I read it and I get excited right away rather than I'm just, like, thinking about it in the way that I said, you know, where it's like, oh, bam.
Speaker: I want to, like, do a thing with the location, you know, like, That's where I'm at on it, which is like a bummer because I love like America Chavez the card and her variants.
Speaker: And, ah you know, Ben knows. Ben's a believer. Ben's an enjoyer. Ben, more than any of us, has supported America Chavez the card. i mean, all versions of her except the original 6ix9ine.
Speaker: um But yeah, as soon as she went to 2ix3ine, was on board. I was there. i was loving it. And how are you feeling about this 3-4 vampire one?
Speaker: This is ah Terax the Tamer. it's It's Silver Sable. It's not a new card. It's not like anything.
Speaker: I don't like it. It's stinky. It doesn't penalize you like Terax No, it's true. It's not double-edged like Terax, so it's less interesting. This a boring-ass card. Yep. Yep. i It's sloppy.
Speaker: it's yell out There's so much of it this season. Don't do this to America Chavez. I really think it's what I was saying earlier is that like, hey, it's a lot of technical resources to code and test new abilities into the game that have to be put in their windows, i have to do all of this stuff. Adding plus or minus to cards on the board, right? Like much easier to do. And that's why they're like, just and they've committed to putting out this and they've reduced the number of cards, right? And it's still like, a decent number of cards and it's just and we were getting more interesting cards when they were giving us two more series for a month right and i feel like if anything that represents a lessening of the resources maybe devoted to snap that we're getting fewer cards and we're still running into this problem where they don't have the technical reason because i really can't think that they don't hire, they don't have people working who want to work on card games. Like this is a hard industry to get like people want to do it right. And like, they're like, we don't have cool ideas for cards we would love to see i i in game. I really feel like they're probably being limited technically in what they they're allowed to like design.
Speaker: I hope it's that and not just a failure of um like creativity and like good design principles and stuff. Yeah, like an overarching design goal. fact you know If this is a lack of expertise, it's much less forgivable because like we know people who know about card games. We're people who know about card games. You can make more interest interesting cards than this.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So I hope it's a technical I feel like I've only brought bummerness to these data mines. It's their fault for bringing these cards. It's kind of a bummer month. yeah Yeah. I like Black Cat. The rest of them and Yeah, I agree. ah Because it's just a discard card that like will win a play and it's not doing narrow things.
Speaker: Yeah, like I'm not just doubling it up to... like Minimize someone. So, like, that's fun. I like that zombies get more support, so there's just variety to be found in deck building for that. Yep. Those are the positives, but I'm not, like, you know, I've played some zombies in my time, but it's not, like, a deck I have together all the time, you know, like to, like, discard and destroy and other things. so ah You know, not fruit not for me always, but it's okay.
Speaker: On to our side quests. I don't know if we call it that. We can snap. Oh, I'm doing great. How are you guys? ah Ben, how are making snap?
Speaker: And keep it snappy. Well, my weekend snap was pretty good. um I played in the Golden Gauntlet. I figured out what I was playing after the episode. I did have to figure it out, you know, before 9 a.m., m which was not my preferred time to figure it out. But figure it out, I pretty much did. i did pretty. I finished 4 and 2.
Speaker: And that's that's like kind of like... That's sort of the floor. i don't i don't know. Every once in a while I get a five and one, but I'm just always out here getting four too and two. And that's I have one more chance to to find that five and one or for this year.
Speaker: Oh, yeah, for this year. i'm I'm a little frustrated because I got my five and one out of the way much earlier ah last time around with the Golden Gauntlet qualifiers. So i i'm a i'm not happy I'm not glad to be ah a last minute Lucy or perhaps...
Speaker: I guess it's less like last minute and maybe more like last chance. And then that feels that feels like even higher pressure. But here's the thing. The the the part, the reason i'm I'm feeling like so frustrated about this one in particular is that the deck I brought.
Speaker: kind of it feels very strong to me. It feels very good. ah i'm I'm on the cusp of doing accidental hashtag pod goals.
Speaker: I didn't even like mean to do it that way for for the end of the the snap on this season. But like that might be where this is going. This deck just like kind of like beats the pants off everything. It's just... i I'll tell you what's in it.
Speaker: It's another one of these dang cowboy Thanoses. I learned all of them. I learned them all. Good job. I still can't keep track of my opponents because it just shows up for a second. And I i just like i I'm rarely taking in that information. But like I know what my own Thanos does when it's in my hand now. So that's pretty cool.
Speaker: um Anywho, the deck is called Big Iron after the Marty Robbins song from the playlist last week. um And the contents of this deck are Hawkeye, newly buffed, Batroc the Leaper, Spider-Man Brand New Day, Kraven, Sam Wilson, Captain America, Silk, Cosmo, Hydra Stomper, Jane Foster, Fractured Frontier, Mercury, Cannonball, and Cowboy Thanos himself, Fractured Frontier.
Speaker: I gotta say the Fractured Frontier, otherwise, don't know. it's It's such a stupid name. Also, have you noticed in the background of the Jane Foster art, there's a fractured outpost that doesn't look anything like janky-ass Fortnite location-looking fractured outpost on the new map?
Speaker: So, like, they don't they don't even know what fractured outpost is or should look like. they they have Does it look like the location, Fractured Frontier? ah i wasn't sure if Fractured Frontier location was supposed to be the fractured outpost.
Speaker: I haven't looked closely at it. Hmm. I thought maybe the fractured frontier was a a larger region and the fractured outpost. But. Oh, you're you're right. You're right. now I don't know.
Speaker: But like one of them is a location this month, though. I swear. But like, you know, the the new game board has a fractured outpost that, as I mentioned, looks like a Fortnite location.
Speaker: And it doesn't look anything like the Fractured Outpost in the background of Jane Foster Fractured Frontiers base art. It's like back there.
Speaker: Sorry. not Not great television. Look at your Jane Foster. i ready seen But yeah, look at your Jane Foster. Tilt her around with the gyroscope thingy. look Look at that building behind her and compare it to the one on the new game board. Anyway, ah that deck...
Speaker: Feels pretty strong to me. It did pretty well in the tournament. I finished like what? 119 out of however many. Quite a few players. I don't know. I did well, but not as well as I would have liked to. But I did have fun. People were good sports. I played some really good games. It was like my frustration did not...
Speaker: I don't know. It didn't keep me from having a pretty good time. And congratulations to um everyone who qualified. And I hope that was like all of our listeners. That's what I hope.
Speaker: I hope everybody did it. um But yeah, play that deck. It's just, it's cleaning up on ladder. ah Yeah. I just, I, the number is tremendous.
Speaker: It's increasing. And like, there have been times when I was like playing decks that like, I, like I could tell we're like good decks that were winning more than they were losing. And I was coming out ahead on QBs, but like, I don't know if I've ever played a deck this winning on the post infinite ladder. It's just, it's like a hot knife through butter, baby.
Speaker: um And it's really fun to play. And a Cannonball, pretty good card right now. People are setting up their big, stupid scorpion lane with their, you know, their Dao Mandala and stuff. And like, no, they're fucking not. They really aren't, is the thing. Cannonball, in the presence of Mercury or otherwise, puts the kibosh on that in a major way.
Speaker: um And, you know, having Cosmo around, I've been loving that. Cosmo is just, man, I did not. Did not rock with Cosmo for the first, you know, two or three years playing the game.
Speaker: But wow, now I just love playing Cosmo all the goddamn time. Ruining days. blas Oh my gosh, it's such a such a cool card. And it's so interesting. And I've been playing around other people's Cosmos. you know like bet Cosmo's been on my mind, but like now Cosmo's in my heart.
Speaker: And I love it. um But yeah, check that deck out. It gets like gnarly big, all kinds of great things to clone with your cowboy Thanos. um Yeah. Yeah. It's just super fun. Also, it's it's nice to have like two five cost cards that say like a lot of the time, hey, just like myrtalize something here.
Speaker: And Cannonball, he does the big things. cowboy thanos does the little things but does other things and uh yeah it's just gosh i i've had so much fun playing it and i felt a little bad because like cowboy thanos is sort of everywhere and we are the hipster marble snap podcast so like i don't feel great about like rolling with one of the most popular cards in the meta game but like You're playing it in an unusual way. I absolve you. You can retain hipster status. It's so much fun to like clone a Hydra Stomper and then like also have the move one and just like go to some other lane that's also huge because, you know...
Speaker: Butrok the Leaper is running around. Sammy's slinging the shield. Craven's getting getting super, super shredded. Just just buffers and all. ah Just unimaginably ripped. i that' that I mean, maybe I am imagining. I mean...
Speaker: Kraven doesn't have an animation where he gets progressively more chiseled or whatever. but like Super Saiyan charging. Yeah. I don't know how it's reflected, um but yeah, Kravens get big. um And Hawkeye, New Hawkeye is just like That's a strong way to start your day. Also, here's a little tip.
Speaker: Pretty cool card to play on the far right lane. Very often i try to like ride the ah the ah the wave of unrevealed locations. you know like If I have a one drop, I'll play it on the middle location. Then my two costs will go on the third location, the the right one. But like Hawkeye is a great card to start on the right location.
Speaker: Because then you can follow it up with a two cost on that location before it reveals. and Whereas if you play it in the middle location, the middle location might be revealed to be something that you can't follow up on. But unrevealed will be a safe follow up. So that's why i am advising to play Hawkeye. on the far right location or, you know, you can play it on the left one that has revealed if it is known to be safe and play honorable in the future. But that's just like a little tip that came to mind while I was thinking about how much I love new Hawkeye.
Speaker: Um, yeah, great card. Also great card. If you've got a bunch of, uh, cards that move and stuff, you know, mean It's fun to put a Silk there. It's fun to put a Batrulk there. A Spider-Man Brand New Day there. All kinds of cards you can put behind a Hawkeye and like not commit to filling the whole lane right then, right there. Yeah.
Speaker: yeah Great deck. I've been having a lot of fun with it. 4-2 is obviously a respectable like outcome, but I'm just curious what happened with the two. Were they bad matchups, or were you...
Speaker: overtired or what what what's the story i you know what was the story I kind of have to like refresh my memory one of them I lost like real bad like somebody like got me there were I think there was like a four cuber that I just should have retreated from and like I don't know why I didn't it I do think I was a little bit I was running a sleep deficit I don't know four two is a pretty normal thing for me to get Even even when I am well rested, but like I did feel bad like I was letting this deck down because the deck just was crushing.
Speaker: What did I lose to? I don't remember right offhand. I might have to check. the But yeah, it was a fun time.
Speaker: Fun time. Glad to hear it. Also, still playing Montavi. There's still And they're updating the game in ways that are making it even more fun to play. um And that's that's cool.
Speaker: It is like, you know, it is it is a ah full game that that released and is fully playable and stuff. But like, you know, with so many more players, there're they're hearing about things that could be more fun. And yeah, yeah.
Speaker: i I'm excited that they're still improving it after release even. It's a good time. I recommend it. Yeah.
Speaker: That's games.
Speaker: Is that your weekend snap? Oh gosh, I guess so. Trying to think if there's anything huge I've been omitting. that You can hit us in the outro or something. re i want to hear about yours. How was your weekend snap?
Speaker: And keep it snappy. Yeah.
Speaker: Alright, um, if your honor would permit i you saying to keep it about snap, but I promise this will all lead to relevance in the case.
Speaker: First we must start, uh, on the playgrounds in the Midwest. child um My two biggest memories off the top of my head,
Speaker: um as were relevant, of playground edifices. Where like when I first lived in a suburb outside of Champaign-Urbana, so like suburb, right? The coolest thing in the playground that we could walk to was a giant wooden teepee, which I loved.
Speaker: Because then I got to play at being, it was a big sturdy structure. was just a big wooden teepee. got to play at being Native American, which I really loved and was less terrible than when we played Cowboys vs. Indians, which is something we should never have been allowed to play at like it is a thing to be played.
Speaker: Oh, childhood. Okay, back then. But it was a structure with which to drape our imagination upon. um And that's what you need as a kid, right? Just give some give them something that looks like a castle. That's all they want. Let them live the dream of homeownership.
Speaker: and any Moved out even more rurally for the Midwest. It is what is known as flyover country often. um Okay, sorry. Just a random memory of like when I first got into like the corp world and they flew in someone from New York to give us a talk and he just insulted us the whole time about how he like wanted to go back to the city.
Speaker: What a wild choice. know. It was crazy. Okay. Anyway, it's just like my whole life has just been a series of ah disappointments of the expectation that fiction has put upon me. Okay. So, um, no, uh, playground. So this is before all this happened.
Speaker: No idea. Future is bright. Thought I could be president at the time. Thought I would want to be president at the time. Okay. So, um,
Speaker: moved out sorry got way off track that back on back on the playground track moved out uh to to even more rural even more cornfield you know style area uh the memorable the memorable edifice i do not know what it's called i'm sure it has a name Many people will know what I'm talking about. is a flat disc, right, with metal bars, like, curved over it.
Speaker: These are for the use of holding while people who ah so go in a circle to spin it round and round and round as fast as they possibly can and then let go while everyone holds on and tries not to fly out and break break a bone.
Speaker: um There's a reason that i think i right, there's there's a reason that, like, rural Midwest is, I feel like, the some of the last vestiges of this this style of play, you know, like, because we don't have the healthcare to have this style of playground, you know? where it's like hang on and try not to die right it's something that was incredibly fun and thrilling in very small doses because it's too dangerous for regular play yeah you haven't realized it yet this conversation is about arena grande
Speaker: the Marvel Snap limited event mode. What is it? A playground, okay? I was like, oh, look at this. I remembered it being a really good time, right? There's eight decks and i um you know, you play out and it's like, oh, like it is super silly to like have, I mean, like the Thor deck like rules. Like I just like can't lose with the Thor deck. And, like, you know, a bunch of, like, there's, like, you know, it's, like, it's silly to have a bunch of wongs. It's silly to have, like, a bunch of deadpoles. It's, like, we can't we can't have this in our daily life. This is not healthy for us. It's not good. It's game, but, like, in a small dose, right? And and the idea, too, is it's, like, it's a novelty, right? This is the kind of, this isn't, like,
Speaker: the The, like, structural, like, playground, you know, like, jungle gym that we will come back to and continue to play with. It's, like, kind of like, we're doing this once.
Speaker: And then we're good. And then maybe a year later, because we have short memories, you know, like just long enough for us to totally forget and then come back. That is what this experience was. And I had fun like that. And then it was kind of felt like it kind of felt like I had played on the playground. And now I am talking about the season pass and the length of it to get like fairly mild rewards. Right.
Speaker: It's like I played the playground. I had fun. I tried all the things. I was like, that was fun. That was different. Good time. Ready to go home now. You know? And then it was like second dinner came along and was like, no, little girl, you're not done.
Speaker: Back on the swing. You want this booster pack, you know, like from my van. And it's like, no, I want to be done playing. But I want the shinies. Thank You know, I want the like gold cosmetics because like once you like the novelty is where it's not fun to grind. It's just fun to experience, to explore. It's the art thing you want to walk through once, you know? yeah And it's like, yeah, like bring it back, put some variety on it every once in a while. Don't make me grind this. It's like how they don't get the line between like, oh, we're being cheeky on our like corporate memeing of like the terrible things we do, you know, and then to where it's the point. It's like you are not, you know, you are not a fellow kid, you know, only the kids get to kid in this very specific manner. It's not for you.
Speaker: Okay. it Yes, go ahead. You know what I learned listening to Bullseye with Jesse Thorne from Steve Buscemi himself? He's actually holding two skateboards in that scene.
Speaker: look The how do you do fellow kids scene. He's holding two skateboards. I feel like one of them's cropped out of the image in the meme or maybe it's not. I don't know. Maybe it's just very subtle.
Speaker: But look for it. Your brain just blazes over it. Alright, sorry. Colossus over No, that was good. I'm pretty much like, I just think, I feel like like maybe 12 was the right number of games to max out the pass. And then if you're in there for more, it's because you're like having fun or whatever. Because like I wanted, i played through all the decks once once. I wouldn't, I didn't mind playing a couple of the ones that I liked more or were interested was interested in like trying and figuring out and learning like
Speaker: You know, some interactions I've learned, right? Like, when they don't work and then you lose and you're like, oh, no. No, I know. But, like, beyond that, now it's just a slog. But I've invested enough for what? like for For what? 50? What could it cost, Michael?
Speaker: 50 boosters? Anyway, Sully, sorry. I just can't. Like, it's just too good. Okay. So, like, um... Like, that's what I've gotten, and so I feel like now I need to invest to get, like, the mis-, you know, the variants, but I'm like, I'm tired. I'm tired.
Speaker: Okay, I can't go from meme to meme. I'm just going from meme to meme. Those are, like, my two favorite memes, because they're the ones I get. I know! I can't! They're just from television shows I've seen a lot. You don't understand. Every time I meme, have, like, gifted a piece of my soul to the meme god, and then eventually one day, like, it'll just be meme left. There will be no re-ing, just, you know. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: the The reflection of memes back upon the culture itself. Okay. It's like a ship of Theseus, but you're replacing yourself with memory. Yeah. Pretty accurate. Okay.
Speaker: Where was I going? So yeah, just like fewer games. I like now I'm like, I don't know. It's possible I've lost the will. You know, like when there's a television show and like while you're watching it, you're into it and you're in the drama. And then when you finally set it down, you just never end up going back and watching any more of it ever because it turns out once you weren't actively watching it and on the little like dopamine treadmill of like whatever they'd set up, you're like, I don't actually care that much about any of the characters.
Speaker: plot or the premise or literally anything that was happening. Not enough to keep watching it. Put it back on. Learn what happened. And that's arena grande. It's like I had my fun and I'm done. And now it's possible I won't even go back and get my rewards because I'm mad they're making me. Man, I want to go home from the playground. Dumb with it.
Speaker: one Just just give me give me the gold foil card. Okay. So, uh... And then, like, I, you know, feel like already talked plenty long. I got, like, ah Death, Fractured Frontier. I just, like, randomly ruled. I was like, why not? As I do. Like, hopefully I get something good.
Speaker: That's very you. Death. i played um I played, you know, i played some with her. it's ah It's, it is. She does. She does do different things. Very friendly with fire hair.
Speaker: um it's It's been a wild ride. ah But, you know, honestly, more than I want to talk a lot about death, I'd rather hear about Lawrence.
Speaker: s Snap. been oh man, I don't got anything. I've played a little bit of Arena Grande and a little bit of Death Fractured Frontier. I saw somebody do some... There's been some Death Fractured Frontier stuff involving Firehair Misery where people are creating, like, Yeah.
Speaker: because if you destroy Death Fractured Frontier, Fireheart uses her ability and immediately brings her back. And somehow somebody has done a loop with it, and I cannot figure it out. I tried three different things today without luck. You're the most qualified person ever to figure this out. You'll get to the bottom of it. I need to review their clips or something. Reverse engineer this magicianry.
Speaker: Yeah, they did it with like Carnage and I'm like, I wanted Venom and make this thing huge. But I don't know, maybe I'm misunderstanding what's happening. There's a lot of fast forwarding going on, which makes it hard to understand. Yeah, and of course it does.
Speaker: That's so annoying. Yeah. i I think I have a pretty good relationship with the mini game modes. Maybe not as good as it should be because whenever high voltage comes around, I say I'm not going to play it because I don't like it. And then I end up playing it just because it's like a way to do Alliance missions fast or weekend missions fast. And it's like, that's probably not the best reason, but alas.
Speaker: uh i'm like halfway done with the arena grande bar and now i i didn't even know there were two mystery variants on the track and now i'm wondering if i should grind for them but maybe i shouldn't mystery variant and then premium is at the very end and if it's if i'm having fun if i'm having fun i'm fine with it but i'm definitely vulnerable for falling into the trap of like oh like Carnage and Thor and Invisible Woman are clearly the best. Maybe I should just stick with them, but maybe it'd be more fun to play Herbie. don't know.
Speaker: I participated in Golden Gauntlet again. have not found it fun to play Herbie. Oh, yeah. Well, I don't know. I think the Ramatash shenanigans are pretty fun. I'm looking forward to Red Hound's lot. I didn't even draw Cersei. I was so mad. and the That is disappointing. I want things. Why is there only one Cersei?
Speaker: Yeah, it was. Come on. I hope someday they let us make those decks. In some mode, I'm fine if it's an arena a two-day Arena Grande, but let me see what it's like to make a snap deck with repeats. like That just this seems like silly fun.
Speaker: Yes, goofy. I guess the Chinese snap has something like this. um Not the duplicate deck building thing, ah but... They run... and I believe Hearthstone has this, and Ben will know the name. They run short events where there's some rule twist.
Speaker: Yes, Tavern Brawl. Where it's a short event, there's some rules twist, and it doesn't have to be a heavy lift on the developers, but something like... wong is a one cost ta-da the meta is completely different because of this um or it could be something more dramatic you know you so you start with the two energy on turn one or you uh i don't know every card has like quick draw minus two cost like there's things that they could do and i and i wish they they would do that i wish they would have silly lightweight doesn't have to be full imbalance patch just like
Speaker: Let's have a little fun with snap. And if it, if it's bad, then who cares? Cause it's done in 48 hours. Like would love to see more of that. Um, yeah.
Speaker: They announced draft today. That's kind of exciting. I'm ah in in the little teaser. There's like text that says roguelike, which certainly is intriguing. And the more I think about it, the more I think that probably is how you have to do draft in Snap, or at least if you want to try to make it highly replayable.
Speaker: So I hope I wish them well, because there's been ah that's been going on for what, like two years or something when they first announced it. That would be a big new exciting thing. That's the biggest new thing they've done that isn't like, we tried to unfuck Deadpool's diner.
Speaker: yeah they're literally calling it that they're calling it like the biggest thing that I can't remember exactly what the tweet said, but it was something like the biggest feature we've ever added or something to that effect. So like they really are going hard on the marketing and I'm interested. to i' Yeah.
Speaker: That's, you know, ah that's a high bar. I think, Oh no, I opened it. the This is the biggest feature we've ever added. That is how they worded it. So, um, you know, pressure's on,
Speaker: come come chat with us in the speakeasy and let us know what you about have opinions. Yeah. Yeah. That'll be the place to find them. Mm-hmm. don't
Speaker: know. I also participated in Golden Gauntlet. I did it the same way that I did last time. I was moderating the Twitch chat, and it was super fun, and Twitch chat was very well-behaved. Oh, good. um Yeah.
Speaker: So mostly it's just helping people when they're like, hey, are there Twitch drops? No. Hey, where can I see the bracket? There isn't one. um Mostly it's that. There was, you know, a few times I had to like give, hand out some warnings or, or delete a message, but, but mostly if people are, are well behaved and that's, that's good.
Speaker: Um, It's not, it's a little interesting because it's not something I have like experience with. Like, I guess I moderate comments on YouTube or like in the fourth location discord or whatever, but, but I don't, uh, I don't Twitch mod for anybody. So there's ah there's a degree of Twitch culture that I just don't understand.
Speaker: Um, it's very different. Yeah. I mean, like most cultural, I know. I don't know why Twitch hasn't ever really vibed with me.
Speaker: um I do know that now you have to opt out of AI training. Yeah, I saw that. Pain in the butt. A little yucky.
Speaker: The way that the companies are handling AI is really wild, especially as it... At least ah i from what I've seen, there's some evidence the bubble might be popping. um I mean, it's not too.
Speaker: i Employees hiring to replace all the employees that they fired or laid off for AI. There's so many aspects to it. It's not sustainable. They're not going to build these data centers. It's all going to...
Speaker: man I don't know. It's it's scary for for people's 401ks and stuff. So all of that for sure. Yeah. I wish that my, i wish I could tell my retirement, mean, probably can, but I wish I could tell my retirement platforms, like don't invest in AI um with my money anyway.
Speaker: what's I going to say? I don't know. Um, it is bad. YouTube is, is they're changing their, their shorts requirement. You have to have 20 million views on your shorts in like three months or they won't pay you. And my understanding is that's like an anti AI thing, but I don't understand how it's an anti AI thing. Like AI slop can get 20 million views in three months.
Speaker: What's going to stop them from doing that? I don't know. That's an odd measure. Yeah, it makes me feel bad. um There's so many cool niche YouTube channels and we shouldn't demonetize them because they can't hit 20 million views. yeah Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Let people be happy in their niches. Like, internet content creation is one of the ways that, like, niches survive. ah Yeah, just some random thoughts.
Speaker: ah My child started high school and that's crazy. Oh, that's very exciting. somebody Yeah, somebody who has not liked school ah since kindergarten.
Speaker: ah We have had attendance issues and anxiety issues and we've tried all kinds of alternatives. This is the most promising so far. We're only two days in. but he loves it.
Speaker: So that's cool. He sent me a text message today during lunch. He was like, I got this horrible bruise from this hot dog. And I'm like, what? And I get these text messages and there's this giant gnarly purple bruise with like red radiating from it. And it looks awful. And I'm like,
Speaker: okay what is the story how did you getting a hot dog do this my child is on crutches full-time so like maybe that's that's related uh and then about you know i don't know a minute later i was like oh yeah wait his first class of the day is gore and makeup class like blood and gore makeup class it's like oh you little you got me i thought that was real Really?
Speaker: It was good? Yeah, it was good. Stinker. That's adorable. Like, I got you. You were scared for my well-being. You were concerned for my well-being.
Speaker: How cool is that, though? Like, literally half of his school day is is makeup, at is blood and gore makeup class. That's half of his school day, this marking period. They need, like, yes, please, more of that, less CGI. movies Practical effects.
Speaker: um Anyway, i'm I hope that it sticks. He's enjoying it so far. It's a really interesting time. You can really like come into your own, even if you hadn't figured out like how to... I don't know.
Speaker: i don't know it's It's a time when like your peers might be interested in interesting people. um du it's It's opportunity for a strange person sometimes.
Speaker: Right. I know like for many people, high school, they, they consider it, you know, a great time in their life. And it's like, um I don't want to promise that it's going to be the best time of your life. In fact, I hope it's not. I hope that you have heard yeah bright things, bright things to look forward to afterwards, but also like some of these friends might be friends who last for a long time or some of the things you learn might, you know, so not necessarily the school side of it, but anyway, I will, you know, if the answer ends up being like, remember most of high school. Yeah.
Speaker: You know, some of the things I learned in high school was like fucking around on my calculator during calculus class. And it's like, I didn't do that well on the calculus test on the AP calculus test because I was fucking around on the calculator. But like I went on to learn programming and like TI basic was my starting programming language. I learned a lot on that. It's like that, you know, that counts as the things I learned in high school, even if it wasn't directly from my teacher.
Speaker: So yeah, I don't know. That's just, ah that's where I'm at in my life. If my child ends up doing homeschool and a GED, then that's fine. but But I hope he continues to enjoy this ah film school that we found.
Speaker: Film focused. They do other things too, but that's like the core. That's very cool. Yeah. Feels very anime. So far, so good.
Speaker: Looks like you thought of something, bud. I did. It was inspired by both of your weeks in Snap. You a card called Death Fractured Frontier. There's yeah currently the only thing in my Seasonal Series 5 pack.
Speaker: Do I spend the 5,000 tokens?
Speaker: How many tokens do you have? I think you've saved up quite a lot, haven't you? I mean, here's the thing. I had, but I did buy a bunch of cards all in a row. Like, all of them. don't know, but Death Fractured Frontier is a card you really like, that That's what I'm wondering about. i have not it's a very it is Hala style, in a way. and that like i was really enjoyed it was really i've played two different decks with her, and I was really enjoying both in different ways, mostly because it's so wildly different than
Speaker: styles I had played but sometimes there was the thing where I got once I got used to the deck and how to play I was like oh you wait opponent you wait I'm distraught this Cassandra Nova that went off and the misery is going to come back it's going so big you don't even know and then like Sage and like all this stuff that I like non-sensory I did and then like you keep waiting like death will show up Any day now. Any day now. Surely. I'm riding. It gets to the point where your opponent's looking at and you're like, no, for real.
Speaker: For real. She's tall. She's a horse. She's a big cowboy hat. She's coming. She's coming for me. and they're like, yeah, yeah, sure. And then it's like you get to turn six and you're like, okay, well, I didn't play with the possibility that maybe death did not arrive. She did not stop. Did not stop for death. so Okay. No, we won't get into Dickinson. Okay. So, um...
Speaker: Like, yeah. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, because I normally don't play cards or decks that rely on a specific card. So once I learned the thing of, no, we destroy, we destroy. It's fine that we we want to destroy. We want to destroy because it'll come back stronger, you know? And once I got used to that and then I realized like, oh, yeah, but then we have to hedge against like maybe we still want to win even if we don't draw death. We can't bring back everything.
Speaker: And so then yeah I had to like readjust the plan to be like, it's a weird tension of like, do we go all in on like the like, maybe we'll draw death, you know, because like.
Speaker: You're only not going to see, what, three cards of your deck in a normal game? and or you know or do we hedge our bets and play less smart? i guess Okay, here's the most annoying thing is there's not room in that deck. I guess maybe you could fit a Killmonger or something. There's not room in it really for tech, right? You really got to be in on your thing you're doing with... like fire here and so you've got enough stuff destroyed. That's right. Like there's not like a lot of extra room and like,
Speaker: I missed it. I took it into a gold conquest and I was playing a Scorpion Brand New Day was the deck I was playing with Magic. and i didn't Normally I would have a Legion.
Speaker: Every other deck I play has a Legion. you know But I brought this in for the because I was like, really you have to like you are a podcaster and you can't just play the same two decks for three weeks. You must expand and contract and, you know, be water. too I don't know about all that. Okay. He didn't say to be ice, but I assume, you know, since water is sometimes ice, Bruce Lee would approve.
Speaker: Okay. So, sorry. Sorry. Okay. Um.
Speaker: Yes. Okay. Yes. And I didn't have tech. And here was the thing about playing Scorpion Brand New Day. was like, I can win if I'm very clever. I'm very, i have no, lead i have no Legion and they have magic.
Speaker: I have no enchantress and they have the ancient one and scraping brand new day and mystique and prodigy and like 50 million things. Okay. I do have some tech because in my hands it is true.
Speaker: No, never. Okay. I do love a good dog. I'm sorry, but like I'm doing things. We are not, we we're in the process. We are, you know, we don't, you're living your your own life. Yes.
Speaker: yeah I am saying there's no tech, and I am. They're going to be so mad when they hear it. I do have Iceman and Korg, right? That's just about it. And Cassandra Nova. you know what mean? So I'm doing things to them, but I have to do it enough and fast enough and early enough and hard enough. And, like, all of this stuff. And, like, I have to play and I have to try and hold back my cards a certain time. And I have to, like, snap. I'm like, I know. I'm like, I know I can win this.
Speaker: I'm going to have to be so clever the whole time and, like, pay attention. It's like, fine, I'm going to do it. Just because I hate scraping brand new day and I want to beat him. And I did! I and I beat him And, yeah, through clever snavage and stuff, even though they hit their sauce a lot and, like, a lot of times. And it's like, yes, through trickery and smartness, and despite having no tech ah to to handle their, like...
Speaker: stuff um i won don't want to do it again because like it is fun to be like yes i was i was indeed that clever good job me so then it's like i want to work that hard i'm gonna be late night okay you want to be late night right Yeah, slap down cards and like be like, and then realize afterward what I should have done and then go to click undo turn. But then it was too late.
Speaker: That's I play the best against slow players that make me sit and think about quickly decided. Oh my gosh, the best way to beat me is end your turn fast.
Speaker: ah maybe Maybe I'm helping other players bring their A game when they when they play against me. Maybe that's what I'm doing. There's times I've talked myself out of it, though. I had the right move early, and then I like i can guess myself. But more often, i'll I'll look harder at the board and catch the thing that I missed or thought about the thing I knew what but that they had from the past season.
Speaker: It's very difficult sometimes to remember past turns. snap attention Okay. So I've got a couple related follow-up questions. Um, one is, does it feel like I'm going to ask both of them. Cause the second one is like better. The first one is like boring and practical and stuff. Like, does it feel like there are like multiple ways to play death fractured frontier? Like, would I, would I find this an interesting tool to have in my, my library of,
Speaker: modules to assemble ridiculous contraptions, but more important question prompted by the mention of Legion. I have pinned the Tratomor spotlight variant of Legion. And I am on a quest to play more Legion. And I feel like having this fun variant would make me more enthusiastic about it than base art Legion, which is, i mean, fine. A lot of base art is fine. That's the secret. Base Art Legion is what you're currently running? Yes, but would I have more fun with this cool one? Because it is very cool.
Speaker: It does cost a 3,500 token. Also, Legion doesn't go with death at all. Yeah, but... Wait, there's not room for Legion in the death we spend the tokens on a Legion variant instead of death?
Speaker: Also, to Lauren's earlier question, I currently have 35,000 tokens, which feels a little low to me. because like I have none and not all of the cards.
Speaker: If you play enough, you can and and you have the season yes you can keep up. um I've been leaving. It's a little tricky to get there. yeah um
Speaker: I think you go for the variant, honestly. Do you think I go for both? Because it looks like there are going to be some skips in the months to come. Probably going to skipping Havoc. Probably going to be skipping Zombie Blade.
Speaker: but Yeah. Yeah. Do both. Let's do it. This is my first time spending tokens on a cosmetic item. This is so exciting. Right here. Oh, really? and on the what Is it his ultimate? Or it's a spotlight. It's a spotlight. It's a spotlight variant. 35,000 tokens.
Speaker: I've spent gold on it. 3,500. Oh, yeah. I guess there i guess i'm I'm imagining a zero. It's it's a paltry 3,500. 3,500. That's right. i'm I don't know. Ben, what I hate about, what I hate most about death, it might be what you enjoy because it feels very like move or something or bounce or you have to think about it.
Speaker: the What I thought, because I have played, I played two. and They were both, I just auto deck rolled. I didn't have time to like make my own deck and they didn't have like an idea right off the bat. I wanted to try. So and the first one was like this Archangel Horseman of Death thing that was just like an adamant infusion, just like destroy things, double them up when you're bringing them back. It was wild. um And then the second one I played was like,
Speaker: It had Misery and Sage. Is it Firehair? Santa Nova, Firehair. Both of them had Firehair, actually, I believe. Okay. Cool.
Speaker: Yeah, and like Iceman, like I said, Korg, that kind of stuff. Stuff you want to like Misery and all that kind of thing and bring back. and ah double up on. And like the thing you had to really think about with fire hair and death, and even sometimes without fire hair was like bringing back cards that destroy other cards. it's tombstone is in one of these decks and if you weren't thinking about how they're going to interact when they pop up randomly in the board i have definitely just thrown some wild late night decks where like death comes and it's like fast forward because yeah i can destroy a lot of cards when i put my mind to it is true and then like it's like and we look over and like like
Speaker: happened we don't know but apparently fire here and then some other things destroyed fire and there is like two cards sometimes i still won because it like played out well and i'm like i did that on purpose i knew how that would all it's calculated Sometimes I did. Like, I do really think about, and it's easier to think about, like, not destroying the, like, it's like, I'm going to try not to destroy tombstone so I don't, so I have more options, right? Like, with death, you have to think about that level because when it pops up randomly and you've destroyed stuff, and sometimes it makes sense to destroy your venom or something, right? And you have to think about how that'll all interact across. And in that way, it does get into that little bit of Hela randomness where you throw those dice. It doesn't always play out the way you want, you know? Sometimes the fire just goes everywhere. That is the thing. I never, ever, ever, ever, ever play Hela, pretty much. i She's Hela. I don't.
Speaker: And it is the randomness that keeps me away. that i like This was part... But I did like, there's ah there is differences. I think she's a more complex card in some ways than Hela. Because Hela is like, turn six, unless you think they're going to stop you when you're able to do it early, you know?
Speaker: Death? Like when I was playing that Scorpion Brand New Day, sometimes I just popped my death early because I knew my best chance to beat them was to load them up with rocks to make it harder to draw the cards they needed to pull their combos. My Iceman, so that their Mystique and Prodigy and stuff, I'm watching that tick up in their hand. It's really nice that you can see what Iceman hits now. I haven't played Iceman in so long. The first time he did it, I'm like, oh, are you a ham now? Iceman. Yeah.
Speaker: are okay so um yeah so like so Iceman is actually stock's rising. He gives you intel. So, like, I knew my best chance against them was to bring those cards back early because then I could trash them again with my other destroy card. You know, I needed to hammer them with the little tech pieces I had or they were just going to beat me. You know my only other chance was to be able to hold death back, destroy enough stuff, even a few enough cards on the board that they pull their stuff off and my stuff comes after their hazmat, you know? Like, ah so that all of the work they did to like replicate Scorpion didn't matter.
Speaker: So it's just like there there are things you can do with her like that. And like with the deck I played where I it's like I could have had more power by saving her for later. Right. But I chose to bring her back earlier for more disruption. And that's never a distinction I would make with Hela beyond like.
Speaker: can they stop me later so i have to do it sooner you know so it sounds like death fractured frontier is an awesome skill testing card for true gamers who it's a more difficult okay hard to play well than hella for sure all right well i pulled the trig i set as favorite and Beautiful. We're it. We're spending all the tokens today. Let them rip.
Speaker: I wonder if I'm going to get an extra booty in my pack. I labbed Death a little bit. She revives cards in the same order they were destroyed. That I did not expect. It can go all over. The location is random, but the the order is the same as your destroy pile. That's really cool. That's good to know. Thank you.
Speaker: Yeah, I've been trying to think about is there a way I can utilize that? And I'm sure there is, but... I don't know. I'm not sure that it's different from just Odin. But maybe.
Speaker: The listeners will be disappointed to know. I hope they'll be disappointed. I hope they're not cheering at this news. I did not get any cool goodies in my Series 5 pack. no, boosters and credits.
Speaker: ah well
Speaker: All right. Well, listeners, this is our season finale. ah But still, if you liked what you heard and you haven't already, like and subscribe so you know when a special comes out or when season two starts. If that happens, it it might. I'm not just making shit up. That might that might be a thing.
Speaker: um
Speaker: We are having some sort of special celebration. We're recording it next week. I don't know how long it's going to take for me to edit. So it might be a week or two until it it ships. But there is something coming that's going to be fun. You haven't seen The Last of Us?
Speaker: yeah I haven't, actually. We're waiting until we finish the video game to watch it. Wordplay!
Speaker: Come hang out in the speakeasy. It's our little corner of Discord. We'll still be there. The instructions are in the show notes or video description. And we're probably part of the Snap Judgments Network where you can listen to other great shows like Snap Decisions by Joe on Mondays and Snap Judgments by Pulse Blazer and Nick the Greek Geek on Saturdays.
Speaker: Check them out. They're great. They're in our show notes. um Anyway, until next time, tune in. I don't know. this feel Catch our bonus. Same Snap time, same Snap channel.
Speaker: You're an out of control team. Rock into guitars. can hear them. Can you?
Speaker: all burn everything before the outro? I don't know. I've just had such a blast chatting with you both. And learning about Fractured Frontier. Yeah.
Speaker: No other morbidity was involved. No, no.
Speaker: Bar. Okay, I did have lots of stories, but like I'm really tired now. We had a long podcast. I thought maybe we would just reveal what the special is tease it. Oh.
Speaker: Yeah, we could do that. If you don't want to be surprised, um We have two guests. People want to be teased. they don't want to be surprised. They want anticipation.
Speaker: Okay, okay, okay. We have two special guests. definitely one of which One of which has been on the show before. One of which hasn't. It's only been mentioned. Scrambled or sunny side up. Perhaps over easy. That is quite a tease.
Speaker: And we will be playing some sort of game together. How's that for a tease? Okay, yeah, it was a tease. I was just gonna reveal, but you're right. I said tease, and tease is what we got.
Speaker: We could just sit in silence for like a minute and then and then reveal it. for the people who really want to know. No, I think was good. It should be, know, it should be mysterious. I can feel their anticipation already, even though they haven't even heard the episode. Something in our listeners' souls is activated.
Speaker: This was you know if you have if you have a tease. I believe it's guessable from the tease, what it is. Yeah, probably like all the details pretty much. Just saying. oh they Put it to put in the comments.
Speaker: Flex your powers of inference. Get to the bottom of this. It's still Snap-related, feel like, right? you know Probably more Snap-related than the T's. I don't know what it is. Thematically Snap-related, yes.
Speaker: um I'll just say it. It's not Tidal Tussle. Snap or Cap. It's da and i and not heretofore been... We had some great games, didn't we? snap Do you all remember the great maybe Snap Review game, Are They Gruntled About Dis?
Speaker: yeah I did enjoy. that was That was from the early times. Do you all remember Zabu? Zombie Richard Reads. Zombie Richard Reads presents Snap Your Own Adventure. takes It takes a lot of time to make cards that are sometimes guessed very quickly and sometimes never guessed.
Speaker: Snap Shooters? I loved Zebu. Yeah, Sound Shooter's good too. Damn, we had some games. Yeah, Zebu was Zebu Spider Lore from 2004. Spider Lore from 2004. I forgot about my own... It's own music....my own, like, masterpiece. Soundtrack. What a game. What a game.
Speaker: to To be released, the snap on the soundtrack, sung by Ben in its entirety. All instruments performed by Ben. ah do to do do but it a do do but And then now you need to spread out into like the multiple cameras and like harmonize with yourself.
Speaker: hit too Easy. I'll play a tambourine or something.
