Munster Hurling Final: Clare vs Tip Analysis

00:00:10
Speaker
right, lads, welcome back to another episode of Who's Got the Ball. Myself and Shane back here once again. How's things, Shane? Good, can't complain. and Just keeping handy, keeping it with them ticking over. it Went to the under-20s Munster Hurling final last night, Clare and Tip.
00:00:27
Speaker
yeah Really good game of Hurling now, to be fair. But Clare got black hard in the 45th minute, and I think Tip scored 2-3 or 2-4, and that was just the killing of the game. Then there was no Clare never coming back. They had a five-point lead, and they came out of the last 10 minutes with five-point deficit. So the end of the game, really. Other than that, just quite enough. Can't

Carlow vs Kildare: An Upset in Hurling?

00:00:46
Speaker
complain at the moment. What about yourself?
00:00:48
Speaker
No, all good. I think it's positive all around for Tiff Harlan, I suppose, since that they did well in their last Munster game, like senior game against Clare as well, yeah coming through that one. They really needed it. So, yeah, suppose looking good for them with the future.
00:01:04
Speaker
Yeah, last weekend, went to watch Carlo against Kildare. Shock win, Kildare won in the Harlan. Carlo were just very complacent, I thought. At times, they didn't look...
00:01:15
Speaker
There's times they didn't really look fully up for it compared to the Kildare lads and Kildare could have won way more. To be honest, they missed a lot chances, so i was disappointed in that. So really need a win now on Saturday against Westmead to cement the top two in the Joe McDonough. And then hopefully we'll get another trip to Croke Park for that

FA Cup Final Preview: Palace vs Man City

00:01:31
Speaker
final. So that would be great because we don't get many of them. But... ah Yeah, fingers crossed.
00:01:35
Speaker
But a shout to the Carlow footballers as well. They went to Fermanagh and beat them last weekend when they were unexpected to do so, winning by a goal. That was brilliant and fair play to them. My cousin was on the extended panel.
00:01:47
Speaker
Delighted for them and for him for play. So let's get into the the usual rundown of stuff. We're going to start by previewing. you'll You'll be listening to this on a Friday. and So it's tomorrow.
00:01:58
Speaker
It'll be on on the Saturday. The FA Cup final. Big one for Crystal Palace. And Man City's big one really for the season too. um Because they've gotten not much else to to brag about this year. So that's quarter past five on Saturday.
00:02:13
Speaker
I'll throw it to you. Do you think Palace have any chance here? I think, like, I don't think Palace have a chance because it is a final and Palace have kind of, over the course of the season, at different times, that they've had City's number. Like, the two all-draws at Southampton, I know they ended up losing 4-2, but there's been times season where Palace have looked like they know how to play against City.
00:02:34
Speaker
Yeah. course City just know how to win finals. and i doubt I think that is going to be absolutely massive. Palace have never won a trophy in their whole history.

Crystal Palace's Form and Strategies

00:02:44
Speaker
So the fact that they're coming into a final and they couldn't have gotten any more unlucky, really, to get Man City in the final.
00:02:49
Speaker
Man City are just kind of hitting a bit of form. I know they drew with Southampton somehow at the weekend, but other than that, they've been really, really good over the last couple of weeks. And... imagine they finished the season with more trophies than Arsenal wouldn't that just and on one hand that would be great but on the other hand I'd really really love um I'd love to see Palace win this obviously Yeah, I was looking at Palace's form since they won the semi-final against Fulham 3-0. That was very comfortable when they were excellent. But since then, they drew a away to Southampton, which is a bit of a mad result. They beat Brighton at home very well.
00:03:29
Speaker
As you said, that game against City, they lost Then the next game, they lost 5-0 against Newcastle. And then since then, they've become really solid. It's like they've put the final in the back of their minds and just done what needed to be done in the league.
00:03:41
Speaker
Drawing 0-0 with Bournemouth. 2-2 away at Arsenal. Beating... Sorry, that was the quarterfinal against Fulham. That was 3-0, not the semifinal. That's why I confused myself. Then the semifinal against Villa was also 3-0.
00:03:56
Speaker
And then they drew 1-1 at home to Forest. And then they beat Spurs 2-0. So good, solid run of games after kind of capitulating a little bit between the quarters and semis. They really steadied the ship. And I think Glasner has done a great job to expel any talk of the final within the squad.
00:04:13
Speaker
They're having a palace season, especially as you like to say. 12 wins, 13 draws, 11 losses, and they're only minus two goal difference, so nearly on the evens mark. I think, yeah, its it's fairly interesting thing to look at how they manage to do that all the time. But then, just want to look at City's form then and compare the two. so City in the quarterfinal obviously beat Bournemouth 2-1.
00:04:37
Speaker
Then they beat Leicester at home, threw with United, which was an absolute joke of a game. It was so bad. the doll That was a nil-nil. Then they beat Palace Man City then beat Everton 2-0 away, beat Villa 2-1 at home, then beat Forest in the semis, and then they beat Wolves 1-0 before that draw with Southampton, which is a bit ridiculous. and But they've been on brilliant form barring that one Southampton draw, which I don't really understand. but Looking at what Glasner said after that 5-2 game between Palace and City, I thought it was really interesting. um
00:05:11
Speaker
He said, if we meet again, you can't play in this system because we will solve it. So that was kind of his message to Pep, that you can't play that same way to beat us. So I think he's

Man City's Chances Against Crystal Palace

00:05:21
Speaker
confident. So I don't know. i think What do you think about his words there?
00:05:26
Speaker
like yeah I think Man City have shown, like i know they've been on a great run at 4M, they've also shown the times that they can really be got Wolves had three or four really good chances before City went 1-0 up in that game. You had Aidan Ory coming in, hitting the post, the other shot cleared off the line.
00:05:41
Speaker
And you had, there was a three on one where Cunha took the wrong option. ah yeah joe did Like they do still give up chances to teams. And I'm just really hoping that Eze and Mateta can kind of keep up this run of form they're on.
00:05:52
Speaker
I think Eze has scored in his last, it's either his last three or his last five. from what He has four in his last three games. yeah and yeah so it's yeah and then mateta is just like if metallic can just be a bully against the years like these these won't want this do you show them that interview out to start having the game that he hates and we hate some people just ah don't don't like just lie down and let's see running over him like so yeah if matteta and there's they can do what they've been doing if it's made a sara can do what he did in the semi-final then It's anyone's game, really. And I think they have really solid midfield there, especially Adam Wharton. I'm a big fan of Adam Wharton.

Adam Wharton: Crystal Palace's Key Player

00:06:27
Speaker
I think him coming back was a big thing this season for them, really. Yeah, oh, massive, yeah. Because you can see the difference he makes. He missed the start of the season, and they were absolutely cast. And there was talks of, like, Blasden might go, he might walk, he might do this, he might do that. And then Wharton came back, and he's just like a metronome from the middle of the pitch.
00:06:44
Speaker
He gets the ball, he plays at left, he plays. He's absolute quality. But... I think if if Palace can start fast, get their fans up, get a goal early, then Man City might want this. They've shown a couple of times, even though they've won the games, that they haven't won it. They didn't want it against Southampton.
00:06:59
Speaker
Not enough anyway, because there's no way they should joined by that Southampton team. As I've said numerous times, I think they're the worst Premier League team in all time. Man City should be able to go there against any system and put three or four past them.
00:07:11
Speaker
and And the fact that Southampton's social media team was mocking them after the game, like with that Diaz quote, you must go watch that, lads, if you haven't already. Just funny stuff of all the mistakes that he made. and But yeah I think...
00:07:23
Speaker
ah You make a good point that the way Southampton played, I have kind of noted the way Southampton played against them, also how Forest beat them 1-0 and also how a Liverpool beat them 2-0. They all played a similar, like obviously there's differing levels there in terms of Southampton.
00:07:40
Speaker
Each team kind of 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 based on the level. But they all played a similar way, that they just soaked up the pressure. Whereas yeah like Liverpool sat back a lot and that in that game and then they hit them. And City hated that.
00:07:51
Speaker
It was the same against Forest in the league. But then in the semis against Forest, Forest had so many chances and they could have won that game. They hit the post like three times and Gibbs White had had a sitter as well. So, yeah, I really think there's a chance for a Palace. and I'm going to go for a prediction here.
00:08:07
Speaker
Romantically, I'm going to back Palace. I'm going go with 2-1. Let's get a Palace win. 2-1 for Palace. What's your score prediction? I have a go into extra time. I have won all after 90 and I couldn't actually pick the winner in extra time to be honest. I'm going to sit firmly on the fence.
00:08:23
Speaker
I think if it goes to extra time, then... um I think it's anyone's game. Now, I may have entered the Palace in a different part of look the podcast. We'll see. But I'm going to say, in my and I think man the most likely result for me is a draw

Europa League Final Preview: United vs Spurs

00:08:39
Speaker
after 90. We'll see what happens there then.
00:08:41
Speaker
no give me you one Give me a trophy lifter. ah Palace. Oh, nice. Here we go. We're both on the Palace train. Let's focus on that one. I think they have a great chance. of day And I really like Glasner as a manager, so I believe his words that he can figure them out. Big time, yeah.
00:08:56
Speaker
So that will be a big one for getting Palace into the Europa League if they manage to win that, considering finish kind of around 12th or 11th. And let's move on to the Europa League final itself on Wednesday. So this is the coming Wednesday after this weekend.
00:09:11
Speaker
It's United and Spurs to... two most, I don't even know how to describe them, how bad they've been this season. 17th and 16th. Yeah, I've written down here, it's a battle of who's worse.
00:09:24
Speaker
Yeah, it is really, that's literally what it is. and Like, The last two teams who entered our form and it's very like solid coming into this final. Let's look at the form now of the United and Asperger. So United obviously had that 0-0 draw with City, which I mentioned was a snore fest.
00:09:44
Speaker
Then the 2-2 draw with Lyon, which was a good game, but they just threw that away. Then for one they got battered by Newcastle. somehow came out and had that amazing comeback against Lyon winning 5-4 7-6 on aggregate losing 1-0 to Wolves drawing 1-1 to Bournemouth who had a red card Then beating Athletic Club 3-0, somehow just completely turning around and battering probably the best team in the competition.
00:10:13
Speaker
Then 4-3 losing and against Brentford. I will say in that game they didn't play the worst and is also like the youngest team they've ever fielded in the Premier League. yeah So that was going to be expected. and Then

United and Spurs: League vs European Form

00:10:26
Speaker
4-1 against Athletic.
00:10:27
Speaker
Again, crazy to win that game. in old trafford by such a big margin and then losing to one two nil to west sam which was abysmal probably the lowest point in the season for me um thinking of how they actually played then looking at spurs they beat southampton 3-1 um as everybody's doing except for city 1-1 draw with eintracht frankfurt and in the quarter final losing 4-2 to wolves in the league absolutely battered in that game then beating Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 to get into the semis, losing 2-1 to Forrest in the league, getting battered by Liverpool 5-1, beating Bodo Glimp 3-1, drawing with West Ham 1-1, and then beating Bodo Glimp in the second leg before losing 2-0 to Palace at the weekend.
00:11:10
Speaker
So, like, ah I don't know what to make of that, but what stands out to you off that? It's the fact that both teams have turned it on so much in the Europa League midweek and then it's like, oh, the weekend is here. Let's just not play.
00:11:23
Speaker
let's Let's just go out on the pitch and stand there for 90 minutes because the league form for both teams, I know, OK, you're concentrating on Europe and fair enough, it makes sense. So when it gets to stage where you're looking, you're like, oh, it's Bodo Glint and it's Bilbao, we have really good chance getting to a final.
00:11:37
Speaker
I kind of, I understand the whole of prioritising that, but... How you're letting your league form go to the point where you between you, you cannot win a game. It baffles me. It really does baffle me. And it's not like they're putting out really, really four sides. They're putting out a lot of the first-team players. I think Bruno Sard on the bench at the weekend, but...
00:11:56
Speaker
No, he started that United started a full team against West Ham. It was the game before. like There's an excuse against Brentford, but that West Ham, there's no excuse there. And the same with Spurs. There's no excuse for losing 2-0 at home to Palace. And I think Palace had two goals disallowed as well, so it could have been a lot worse for them.
00:12:12
Speaker
And then they just go out and they just controlled the game against Bordoglint. I know they had left it at all, but they kind of did, as you were saying, what Liverpool did to City, whilst Brentford, like Bournemouth did to City. So...
00:12:24
Speaker
I just, I can't believe it. And so what the thing is that the final will probably be a cracker of a game because the two of them with their European form, they'll come out and the two of them will just put out a show and it could be anything. It could be 6-3 either way.
00:12:36
Speaker
It could be KG 2-1. Literally this final could be any score. um I think the injuries are massive if you want to kind of get on them. Yeah, I have them listed here. So I think for Spurs, obviously the midfield is the biggest issue. Bergvall, Madison, Kuliszewski injured.
00:12:54
Speaker
And then Dragasin is also another injury in defence. And then for United, the defence is the issue. and So obviously Martinez is out for the season. Heaven is out, which is his backup.
00:13:05
Speaker
De Ligt is out, which was the right-sided centre-back that was starting. Dalo is out. And then Yarrow, who has been really, really good in the last few weeks, is also out. And then add Xerxi to that when Hoyland can't hit Barndor. It's kind of important. So it's one team has defensive woes in their injury department and the other has in midfield.

Spurs' Injury Woes and Europa Prospects

00:13:23
Speaker
um For me, I think the midfield might be a bit more important because Casemiro has been really showing himself to be a proper warrior in the Europa League this year. yeah He wants to win it and also to play in Europe.
00:13:37
Speaker
Yeah, it's possible for how he's been playing recently and in in Europe. And I think he'll really boss that midfield because United do get overrun by Premier League midfields, but this will be a a heavily rotated one. So himself in there, I wouldn't even be surprised if we had a Manu or...
00:13:54
Speaker
um maybe Bruno dropping deeper to start yeah with the fact that we may not need to go as defensive as we have in the other games with Gartier next to him so I don't know what think what do you think is the biggest injury here the biggest effect it's in the field for me as i boss well mostly because Spurs and forwards are rubbish Blanky is rubbish. Brendan Johnson a bit rubbish.
00:14:16
Speaker
I don't know if Son is fit or not. He might be fit. and fit nott and sa So I think the midfield is huge. Kulishevsky, since he kind of moved into the middle, has been a revelation in a lot games.
00:14:28
Speaker
So to lose him and Maddison, they've really lost their creativity yeah and in that midfield. So I think that's absolutely massive. But in the four games, and I couldn't believe when I looked it up, I forgot that they played four times a season. It's three Spurs wins and a draw.
00:14:43
Speaker
So are United due one or do Spurs have United's number very, very comfortably? and Yeah, to show it I think this is going to be the fourth one. I think the draw was from last season. and Oh, was it? Oh, okay. So it's three wins.
00:14:58
Speaker
ah Three wins for Spurs, literally. are Or it's like two. I think it might be, let me see. Yeah, three wins for Spurs. They won 1-0, 4-3 and 3-0. So that 4-3 game was in the cup.
00:15:10
Speaker
United were... were literally on the but brink of coming back. I think it was for Yeah, I think it was. As far as just completely capitulated, United nearly came back. It was a mad game.
00:15:21
Speaker
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something similar where one team goes up 3-0 and the next thing it's 3-3. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. But I think, yeah, that it is a big thing, though, the defence for United. Like now...
00:15:36
Speaker
you're You're lying on Maguire, who hasn't been fully fit. He's been rotated a lot. Luke Shaw, who hasn't been fully fit. He's been rotated a lot. And then Masraoui, probably going to have to start right centre-back. and And that means you're going to then have to start Ahmad right wing-back. So all these things have a knock-on effect.
00:15:52
Speaker
And I think it could get a bit dicey if they're put under pressure. Lindelof probably may well start either if Masraoui goes then to right wing-back. So that's another option. Like you have to leave one them on the bench because you can't, like say it's like three fit actual centre halves, you can't start the three of them.
00:16:10
Speaker
but You only have two. We're going to have Johnny Evans back on the bench literally after not playing for like six months. Johnny Evans. Oh my God. Yeah. Johnny Evans and Lindelof will probably start on the bench. So I think it will be Masraoui, Maguire, Luke Shaw, then Dorgue and Amad will be the kind of the back five. For me, would be the best because...
00:16:28
Speaker
I think you add the legs of Shaw and Masraoui on either side of Maguire, I think it would work a little bit better because Maguire can kind of direct them, I suppose. So I think that might work best. But Spurs recently, they didn't create I think they created 0.6 or 0.7 xG against Palace. It was abysmal.
00:16:46
Speaker
and Yeah, they were shocking. It's just crazy like looking at you United in the league. 51 xG and they only scored 42 goals. And then in the Europa League, they've scored 35 goals. They're on like over three goals per game in the Europa League.
00:16:59
Speaker
And they're barely above one in the Premier League. It's just crazy. Ruben Ambram unbeaten in Europe as well across sporting in the night the season. And he literally cannot win a game for money in the Premier League then. I know.
00:17:14
Speaker
And then it's like... United are also the only unbeaten team across Conference League, Europa League and Champions League this season. yeah So that's that's another mad one.

United's Experience in Finals: A Predictor?

00:17:24
Speaker
But I think but with the fact of not being able to win in the league, it falls on the coach, of course, as well.
00:17:31
Speaker
But it falls massively on the player's attitude. Because if they can turn their attitude on in the league or in the Europe and then the league is just completely... capitulating game after game.
00:17:42
Speaker
It's very alarming and a lot of these lads need to be booted out. Interestingly, the last time United beat Spurs was in October 2022 and that was the game that Ten Hag benched Ronaldo and Ronaldo walked down the tunnel and wouldn't come on. And and that was a 2-0 win. United were very good in that game but then all the talk was about Ronaldo after.
00:18:00
Speaker
Of course. Anyway, I'll move on to my prediction. I said United were going to win it. I'm going to stick with that. I think Spurs, yeah, although they are a Premier League team, they haven't been good this year.
00:18:13
Speaker
And United have been better against non-Premier League teams, but I still think they can do it. and I just think that United know also how to win finals a little bit better. So I'm going to go with United to win 3-1. I think they'll take an early lead and they might get a bit shaky if Spurs get one back, but I think they'll see it out ultimately.
00:18:31
Speaker
What do you think? um I'm going for Ange to keep up his word that he wins something in his second season. I have Spurs I still think he gets fires. I think it's bit of bias on both behalves, to be perfectly honest with you. I do think the fact that Spurs have played 3-1-3, I think they might have United's number and I think it might be ah thinks only it's already going to be a crack in four tree or a very cagey 1-0-2-0 and I think Spurs have got a car on top. I want to do a call back now to our episode where did the Europa League prediction winners.
00:19:03
Speaker
I said den denied i said you United it would win. Shane said Bilbao would win. And distinctly I remember Shane saying, whoever comes out of that side, yeah, they'll win it. So now of a sudden United are there and he's flip-flopping back to Spurs. I've seen an absolutely egregious tweet, Shane, replying to somebody asking for a Spurs shirt to wear for the day. Yeah.
00:19:21
Speaker
So, yeah, there's only one side of bias here. I'm sticking with my season-long prediction. But, yeah, that's just an absolute disgrace from this Shane fella. he' no He's going to be wearing Spurs shirt on Wednesday.
00:19:35
Speaker
Mark my words. He'll be crying into it then after. Yeah, maybe. I'll be out with a friend of mine, Jack, who is also and a massive Spurs fan. I might go out with him.
00:19:47
Speaker
So we'll see how that goes now as well. Hopefully Jack isn't in tears. The two of will be rooting for Spurs. It's rough.

Predictions: FA Cup and Europa League Outcomes

00:19:55
Speaker
yeah Anyway, um that's our two predictions. So we've gone Bocom with Palace in the FA Cup bit of an upset and then we split the bill there in the United Spurs game, which, as Shane said, it's the battle of to see who's worse. And to be honest...
00:20:10
Speaker
I'm not banking on United winning. I just think that's my logical argument of how it could go with the Spurs injuries and stuff. but i And I just think they can't lose four times the Spurs in one season. How can you do that? I just think it has... The law of averages.
00:20:23
Speaker
It is Spurs, look. Yeah, it is Spurs.

NBA Draft Lottery: Mavericks' Unexpected Win

00:20:26
Speaker
That's it. But anyway, let's move on then to the and NBA. So this is an absolute madness what happened in the NBA. So the the draft lottery just went down.
00:20:37
Speaker
We're looking at... Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Pelicans had a good chance. All these teams had a massive chance of getting the number one overall pick or at least being in the top three.
00:20:47
Speaker
And the way it went was Nico Harrison's bacon was saved after trading away Luka Doncic. He gets the number one overall i'll pick with a 1.8% chance of getting that. The Spurs fall in second.
00:20:59
Speaker
My Sixers fall in third, which I'm delighted about. But looking at the odds of that happening, it was a 0.0114% chance that the top three ended in that order. It was 1,001 just for that top two. and What were your feelings after seeing that?
00:21:16
Speaker
We were talking about it at half 11 the night before and it was on at midnight and I was like, I'm going to sleep because something's going to happen that will just annoy me. And you were like, yeah, if the six is well out, it's not 10, I won't sleep. I think we both kind of just went to sleep thinking that the Jazz were finally going to get a number one pick.
00:21:33
Speaker
And I woke up next morning and I saw it with the Mavericks and I'd seen a tweet. from some fella he's a Houston Rockets fan and he was obviously biased he's like if the Spurs and Mavericks get the number one pick I'm not watching basketball anymore it'll be too scripted blah blah blah and I come on now there's no hope of that happening and then the top two was the Mavericks and Spurs and like this is just so typical it's not Nico Harris's third time or fourth time getting the number one pick after trading away a superstar yeah Yeah, he traded away.
00:22:03
Speaker
And A.D. Davis, Luka Doncic, and there was the Chris Paul one as well. Yeah, Chris Paul. And K.D. as well? Yeah, so it's just like looking into the number one overall picks. I don't know, like,
00:22:18
Speaker
But other times you could say, okay, it's the lottery odds. It's the way things go. i I don't want to fully say that this is rigged because like this is the system that people voted for. they They wanted it to be like this because they didn't want to tanking to be that big of a thing.
00:22:32
Speaker
But at the same time, it feels too crazy to be... Just pure chance that he traded. 100%. Traded Luka away in a really, really shady trade that made zero sense that the league didn't veto that trade.
00:22:43
Speaker
And then the next thing they get, the number one overall pick. Yeah. it was like, apart from Wemby, in the last 10 years i or even longer, I can't remember someone who's been this highly

Spurs' Draft Strategy: Securing Top Talent

00:22:53
Speaker
touted. Yeah, dis-hiked, yeah.
00:22:55
Speaker
But even like for Spurs to get number two, like they're going to have a really, really good player. and We'll talk about the trades in a few minutes, but at the moment, they're going to have a really good player to Stephon Castle, De'Aaron Fox, Wemby.
00:23:07
Speaker
They're going to have two Rookie of the Year's, De'Aaron Fox, and they're going to have another fellow who will him with a chance of Rookie of the Year and unless Cooper Flagg does what everyone thinks he's going to do. yeah like that That's a bit ridiculous to me as well. like i just I can't understand how they keep getting so lucky.
00:23:22
Speaker
Yeah, and it's the West as well. It's really lopsided the league already. And now you have Giannis possibly going to be traded out of the out of the East into the West. Yeah, yeah he definitely is. Yeah, you have the Sixers with an injured team. You have ahd Jason Tatum after going down with an Achilles injury for a year.
00:23:38
Speaker
And the West has the top two picks. So it's just going to be an even bigger gap between the East and the West now. and So I really don't know. I don't know what to make of it. well You mentioned some possible trades. That's the thing that's kind of on everybody's lips at the moment. What are some of the things you've been seeing or that you think could be a possibility now?
00:23:56
Speaker
i I haven't actually looked at any kind because I wanted to kind of make my own decision on like what what I see kind

NBA Trade Speculations: Spurs in Focus

00:24:02
Speaker
of things happen. I didn't like Joe Google or Yanis trade, but I think the Spurs are in such a strong position to trade for Yanis now. yeah They have the second overall pick, which is great for Milwaukee if they need to start a rebuild. I guess...
00:24:14
Speaker
get Yanis off the books, get obviously a massive contract, get the second pick and kind of work from there. Yeah. um I could see that happening very, very easily. and The Rockets having the 10th pick is massively as well for a trade. It is very big. And like and it's from the Suns as well. So they go back to the Suns and say, here, have your pick back. Give us...
00:24:33
Speaker
KD or give us whatever we want that kind of thing as well. So yeah i think i think the trades are going to be huge. I think they'll be a lot. yeah Yeah, like Houston really need a shooter.
00:24:44
Speaker
We saw that massively. And having the 10th pick, despite getting to playoffs, that's another thing. that's it's It's a good bit of luck there now. And it's probably all to do with, oh, given Dallas number one, we should do something for the Rockets so else they don't kick up a storm. and Let's give them the number 10.
00:25:02
Speaker
or as i think like yeah one i think ah I think the Rockets did deserve it, though, because they've done things properly. like they They've not tanked. They've built what they need. Well, they have tanked, but not this season again. They kind of worked their way up.
00:25:16
Speaker
But I think that like they need a ball handler and a shooter. And to me, as I mentioned before, Evan Booker is the perfect way to do both of those things. And I think they could move for him. They'd have to give up something else as well.
00:25:28
Speaker
But you might not have to give up a whole lot since they have a nice and high pick. But i one thing I've seen and a little bit of is the Spurs have number 14 as well, which is their own pick. oh so I'm not sure which one is their own. One of them is their One of them is coming from somebody else. and The Hawks, I think.
00:25:46
Speaker
And that is a possible thing that they could move. Because if they want to get Giannis, they're going to have to give up. either Castle or they're going to have to give up um Devin Vassell, something like that. yeah and But if if they really wanted to say, oh, we want to keep number two, we want to pick Dylan Harper, we want to keep D'Iron Fox and we want to keep Wemby and then we're going to add Giannis, then they could give up just 14 and give up Castle and Vassell.
00:26:15
Speaker
And then the Bucks may do that if they give maybe a future pick as well with that. I don't know. It could be a possibility. but i think I don't see him giving up Castle. I think da Yanis Castle and, yeah, sorry, Yanis Castle and Wemey, I think are probably the trio on the key. They'd probably give up anyone outside of those two, really. They might think that Dylan Harper is a better prospect than than Castle is because, yeah, he won Rookie of the Year, but it was almost by default there was no real good rookies. Yeah, there was no one really, yeah. There was a lot of rookies that didn't play many games. Reid Sheppard, for example, didn't yeah know a year qualifying night, so...
00:26:47
Speaker
Yeah, I think that could be possibility. I don't see it happening, but I think it's it's on the cards. And I think the Bucks will demand at least Basel with the number two pick for Giannis. And there'll have to be some kind of swapping to fill room in the in the cap.
00:27:02
Speaker
The cap, yeah. And another one then that I came across... was was looking at, it was on CBS, it was Sam Quinn, kind of, he he was looking at that one too, but then another one he brought up was Kevin Durant going to the Sixers. I really would not like to see this at all.
00:27:19
Speaker
It was Paul George in the number overall number three overall i'll pick and kevin for Kevin Durant. That's like, you get your salary swaps, the Sixers get a better player, you dump off Paul George's contract, the Suns would be in an absolute world of hurt with that contract and the Beal contract.
00:27:35
Speaker
and but then they would have the number three overall pick so i on paper it makes sense but I just don't think Daryl Morey would do that as the Sixers GM I think he's too smart yeah he at times he does he he wants somebody to fill the box score somebody to play like across the whole game Paul George is that kind of player I think he'll still want to stick with him and give him an another season.
00:27:59
Speaker
And I could see them trading back, to be honest, but I just don't think it would work out that way. and motor trade They could have trade back with somebody else and do something else, but I don't really think it would be for Kevin Durant. and But I would personally like them to hold on to the pick because I don't know what's going to happen with Embiid.
00:28:16
Speaker
I think George, while he can contribute, he didn't do it last season. I think hold on to the pick. Pick a top three prospect, somebody who's, look, there's a lot of good guys in this draft. and They could get an ace, Bailey, but I'm not sure they'll go for him because he's more of a shooter, a scorer than anything else.
00:28:32
Speaker
So they might go something else like BJ Edgecombe or something like that. So if they went with him and they have Maxie and they have McCain, you have a good young core. And then if Embiid and George can play, you're kind of set up for the future as well as now.
00:28:44
Speaker
We saw it didn't work as well with the Warriors being on two timelines. But I feel like this is different because you would have Maxi is already a brilliant. McCain showed flashes already last year when he wasn't injured.
00:28:54
Speaker
And you're getting a draft pick of somebody who's very highly rated. So that would be what I would like the Sixers to do. I think the thing as well is that the Sixers fans like yourself, you're not going to go into next season expecting a winning season straight away. Whereas like there's always an expectation with the Warriors that they're going to be 45 wins and above and they're going to be pushing into a playoffs. Whereas for you, you're probably happy to wait. another Not happy to. I don't think so anymore, though, to be honest. Really? The Sixers fans are sick of what's happened. like We're in the process of Embiid and we're supposed to win during this and we never got to the conference finals.
00:29:29
Speaker
So I think they are kind of sick of waiting, which is why I think Edgecombe would be a good pick because he can contribute straight away. And even if you did get like 40 games out of Embiid and George is actually fit, I think we would be good enough to have a win in a good winning season, a good strong winning season. But Look, if they did go on another way and traded for someone, it's just last year we traded for people and the team didn't have time to blend and then there was injuries and it was all messed up. So I would rather just go young and still try to win with the core we have. But I think fans are very sick of losing or kind of being on the outside of a challenging team as a so as the Sixers have been recently.

Sixers' Draft Strategy: Trade or Build?

00:30:08
Speaker
Yeah, you're probably right as well, to be fair. There is only so long you can kind of sit on the sidelines and stay quiet as well before it does start to really... great on you a good bit so maybe they they do need to do something big this summer um i wouldn't be trading away the third pick to be honest i'd be keeping it and picking someone and kind of almost starting again and doing beat us in there paul george is still there but i would be kind of starting again with a good young patients to kind of do do with the way the spurs have done it get yourself a kind of a freak then get to next year get yourself another
00:30:40
Speaker
right away and get get a high pick for next year and then go like it then bring two rookies in together that can grow together and see where goes and there in there then most yeah it's an interesting and one to keep an eye on this summer yeah think there's a lot that happened especially with the Tatum injury I think But as I mentioned, John Hollinger in the Atletico Street, and he said he was looking at the possibility of the Celtics moving on from Brown. I don't think that's going to happen.
00:31:04
Speaker
I think they'll move on and Drew Holiday Chris Stapps, to be honest, because they're going to have to move on somebody because they can't keep paying these guys. They're one to keep White. Tatum is injured. They're not going to trade away their second best player. So I think and Chris Stapps has been very up up and down. He's not been fit. He's been sick, whatever is wrong. And Drew is aging.
00:31:24
Speaker
So if they did move both of those guys on, I think that's more likely this summer. And and then also there was a mention from him of... AD leaving the Mavs. Again, after i know only just getting there, but he had to say it's a possibility that they might look to move him and get flag and, you know, build with another high pick as well, which would be absolutely mad if they yeah like got two of the three best prospects off trading Luka and they just built for the future. And then the last one he said, which I thought was interesting in is
00:31:55
Speaker
The fact that Giannis is going to go, a lot of teams are going to be trying to bid for him and like move for him and offer different things. I thought the Sixers could be in play there if they gave a good enough package. That would be crazy.
00:32:06
Speaker
That would be one I probably wouldn't turn my nose up at with. But yeah I don't see that happening. I think other teams have enough to give him more. And I don't see him really moving to Philly from Milwaukee. Yeah.
00:32:17
Speaker
Yeah, any other trades you havet you have in mind or teams that you think might look to trade? I don't think Dallas do. I i think they cannot pass up on flag. No, I agree. I think i think you if you had, to but whoever had the top pick was always going to keep it to get Cooper flag.
00:32:32
Speaker
yeah Outside of that, like there's teams, like i could see like the Hornets trading away their pick and ball and getting in someone yeah Like they could go and get a KD or something like that. or like did but The Nets could very easily trade their they pick away because they're a bit stupid. like So it wouldn't surprise me if they went and did something silly like that as well. But other than that... I can see those two teams like swapping or something. Maybe if the Nets go bit mad and try to move up, the Hornets might move back because they're happy with someone in the 8 range.
00:33:01
Speaker
And then they get a next year's pick and a Cam Johnson or something. yeah like him Yeah, and that would be something that the Brookdom would do and then they'd still manage to pick the worst player on the draft board even though they at number four. life was i think i think it's I think it's a very interesting summer. I think the football transfer window and this NBA trade season are going to keep us busy all summer now with the way things are going I think it's going to be many moving parts. Every day there'll be something new coming out and then I'm really looking forward to it.
00:33:27
Speaker
Yeah, that's so There'll be so much rumours and so much things actually happening. And then we've got the draft on the 25th of June, and first round and second round is on the 26th. So something to keep an eye on, lads.
00:33:39
Speaker
A lot coming up. But yeah, let's move on then to Gun Chance. Okay, so last week um I got two correct. I think you had one. and so You're closing the gap.
00:33:50
Speaker
Back to eight. I still need like two five-pointers. and Thank God. i Well, it didn't make any difference in the end, but I moved off the Pacers and I put in Arsenal instead. and The Pacers end up losing that game and they end up winning the series a few days later, but they lost that game that we both went on on the Friday night.
00:34:08
Speaker
and Then I moved off it to be different for me. i went to Arsenal, so I was very close to my first five-pointer. I had two, but... Anyway, I'm 26-18 right now and only two weeks left to close the gap, so I don't see it happening, so I'm going to have to try and get it this week and next week. But i' gone with for this week, I've gone with Newcastle away at Arsenal.
00:34:30
Speaker
They're 27-10 and Arsenal 19-20. So that's Sunday at 4.30pm. I just see Newcastle as as a real possibility here because they're closing the season hot and they're really going to want to keep that run going to set themselves up for the summer and for next year.
00:34:46
Speaker
Then I've also gone for the Celtics to beat the Knicks. and So they're... 6-5 and the Knicks are 5-7. I just see the Celtics winning this game, even though it all looks like the Knicks have them kind of buried here. I just see them dragging it out to 7 and making it just little tougher for the Knicks because the Knicks looked poor last night.
00:35:05
Speaker
and They're currently 3-2 up right now. And that's Friday night at 1.30am. So I think I could just really see the Celtics getting another win there. And I think they're a good price. Then lastly, I've gone with Palace to beat City.
00:35:18
Speaker
So they're 7-2 and City are 3-4. So that's Saturday at 4.30pm. I thought, why not go for what my prediction actually has been. I've combined the three as well, um turned them into a bet because I think I'm due a five-pointer, so I said I'll do it this week just to see if it comes across. and It's 26-1 for the three if you put Palace in to win the trophy instead of to win the game, 11-5. So I've done those three.
00:35:42
Speaker
So let's see what happens. What have you got? um I'm not going to waste anyone's time. I've gone for the exact same three. Oh, Christ. Yeah, I have them written there. Not sure if you can see them, but I've gone for the exact same three as you do.
00:35:57
Speaker
Oh, Lord. So there's so absolutely no hope of me coming back then? No. Regardless. No, I have different odds. So I did them today. So have Newcastle are 13 to 5, Arsenal are 19 to 20. Paris 10 3 and City are 2 to 3.
00:36:13
Speaker
And the Celtics are 11 to 10, the Knicks are 8 to 11. They're all basically the same. Close enough. But I just wanted to just just wanted you to know that I'm not just picking the tree, as you just said there when you were talking. good yeah That's rough.
00:36:26
Speaker
Yeah, I looked at others too, there's literally no other ones that I really... No, there's nothing going on. I think there was a thereers were the only options for us really this week. I don't think there was too many... yeah like just start happening i'm gonna go away to everything in the last game and go this and get a win so i couldn't back them again so it was kind of yeah i need to i'm gonna need to because if there's if there's uh any chance of me coming back i'm gonna have to go one different here so let me have a look quickly and i'll change one of them okay so i've had a quick uh a quick look to see what i can do
00:37:00
Speaker
I'm going to take out the Palace one and I'm going to go with City still to lose, but on Tuesday night in their game against Bournemouth. I think Bournemouth can cause a lot of chaos, as we mentioned a lot of times, and City don't like that. and So I think let's go with City to have um a come down off after the cup game, whether they win or lose it.
00:37:20
Speaker
It won't matter because it's not in for me now. and It's 19-4 for Bournemouth to win, but ah the bet still stands. I'm still going to be back in Palace because I still have that. that bet on for to see how it goes but I'm just going to change that because I really need that five pointer and that would if if they all come off and you're and City somehow win the cup final and all my three come off then I'll only be five behind you in the last week I'll have to go completely different from you and which you're going first.

NFL in Croke Park: Steelers vs Vikings

00:37:48
Speaker
I'll have rock up next week with a big list and just pick from it.
00:37:52
Speaker
But yeah, that's that's ourric that's our picks. So I've gone with Newcastle. I've gone a born with Bournemouth versus City and I have the Celtics to beat the Knicks. So let's move on then to our next topic, which is the NFL.
00:38:05
Speaker
and The big topic this week is the schedule release. We'll get more into that as as the weeks go on, but we want to focus on the big game. It's the Steelers versus the Vikings in Croke Park on the 28th of September at 2.30pm. Shane, take it away.
00:38:19
Speaker
Unbelievable. that's like That's the best game I think we could have gotten. We get to see some genuine, genuine NFL superstars in the flesh. Like said, Jefferson. ah and I'm so excited. I really hope that tickets are easier to get than they look like they're going to be because that's going to be... Even if you don't get a ticket, go to Dublin because I think the atmosphere in Dublin that day is going to just be absolutely... going be off the scale. I think it's going to be incredible. And the fact that it's the Vikings now and it's it promises to actually be a good game instead of a kind of a...
00:38:50
Speaker
If it was the Steelers and the Packers, it could have but just kind of been a bit of a damn squib like, but I think this Vikings game is going to be incredible, to be perfectly honest. I'm really excited. I think, yeah, I think to be honest, I would have taken either of those games because I think the the Packers do have superstars too, but I think it's just some of the storylines in this one kind of sell it to me a lot more.
00:39:12
Speaker
The fact that It appeared like Rodgers wanted to go to the Vikings this year. They didn't. We could end up seeing him in that game if the Steelers get him. and And then we'll see the the Vikings having JJ McCarthy start and in his first season yeah and just a few weeks into that. So that's a big storyline.
00:39:31
Speaker
I also think, yeah, as you mentioned, seeing Justin Jefferson in the flesh, also seeing TJ Watt, Jordan Addison, yeah. To see TJ Watt and Jordan Jefferson on the field at the same time in Ireland will be absolutely crazy. Mental, yeah. It just won't seem real.
00:39:47
Speaker
I really hope that he can get tickets. and I hope everybody who tries, obviously they won't all be able to get them, but i hope everybody who listens to this and that tries do get them because... It'll be an absolute sight to me. As you mentioned, just to be in Dublin.
00:40:01
Speaker
Obviously, you see the new background if you're watching on video. I live in Dublin now, a couple of weeks back from Limerick. So I think I'll be down around whatever's going on for the full week, if there's a fan zone, on whatever.
00:40:13
Speaker
I've also grabbed a couple of little lapel mics, so maybe we'll get a bit of a bit of stuff down there, Shane. We'll get talking to a few fans and see what they have to say. But yeah, I just cannot wait to see. I made a list of a few other guys I really can't wait to see.
00:40:27
Speaker
Obviously, there's a lot lot of people, but these are the main ones to me. um andrew van ginkle um i just but just the way he plays is unreal he's always somewhere he's like an alex caruso of um of nfl he just knows how to do everything defensively dk metcalf is another one just to see that pace athleticism jonathan granard i hope he gets a sack or two i would love to see that and he's just an absolute beast on defense and then ninka fitzpatrick as well for the steelers just uh Proper irish Irish name, Fitzpatrick. Minka, probably not so much, but yeah, I think he's just a solid, solid player. Love him sitting in that safety.
00:41:04
Speaker
I think, yeah, between him and Van Ginkle kind of being similar enough players, you've got Grenard to look at on one team and TJ Watt on another, and then DK and Justin Jefferson. It's like a matchup across each place and possibly an Aaron Rodgers appearance too.
00:41:19
Speaker
I don't know. It's just just absolutely nuts to believe that this is going to be happening literally over the world. Yeah. it's a yeah It's incredible. And it's kind of like I thought the excitement

NFL's European Strategy: Testing the Waters

00:41:29
Speaker
would start to wear down a bit. And it it was kind of like it was falling off, like people weren't talking about it so much. And then the game is announced and all of a sudden the buzz is back up around again. Everyone is talking.
00:41:39
Speaker
Everyone's on the tickets again. Everything is just going wild. I can't wait to see what they have planned around. And like you said, the fan park kind of what the pubs will do around Croke Park. Will up the price into 14 euro points as expected? Definitely.
00:41:53
Speaker
there's so much that that's going to come out over in the next couple of weeks and i just can't wait to just keep up with it all and just just go to us hopefully yeah really really hopefully get to go to us as you said if we don't manage to get tickets we'll be we'll be up around there and around the place definitely and have a pub to watch it in and get the whole atmosphere of everything as well. yeah your Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that, but according to NFL.com, the tickets will likely go on sale in June or July. So um I think you can sign up for to to let to be let know when there's an announcement.
00:42:25
Speaker
So keep an eye on that, lads, and obviously we'll update as time goes on here. I think an interesting part of this as well for me is the fact that the Vikings will be the first team ever to have back-to-back international games yeahp in two different countries.
00:42:37
Speaker
So for me, they're Obviously, they're playing that game against the Steelers and then the Browns the next week in the UK. I think yeah ah it hasn't been said, but I think that really points to a feasibility test almost.
00:42:50
Speaker
And for the NFL, I think they're going to have more and more international games and they're going to want to see how teams get on with multiple weeks abroad in different countries in Europe. um It could be next year, it could be UK and Madrid or Ireland and Madrid or whatever.
00:43:04
Speaker
and But I think that's a really interesting part of it for me anyway. 100%. I was still looking at da that as well. That is kind of, as you said, it's a feasibility test to see how they get on when they're away from the families for two weeks back to back. Like, could they do a month?
00:43:19
Speaker
Like, could you just send these lads away on a lads holiday for a month and see how they get on without getting arrested? That's one way to describe it. Yeah, I think they're starting with two weeks and they'll definitely then, there'll be team next week that will, sorry, next season will do three weeks.
00:43:32
Speaker
It could also be to kind of see how, like if they were to move a team into Europe full-time, like having a team over there for two weeks, seeing how the fans travel to the two games in Ireland and the UK and leave then some pop-up in Germany a week later and to kind see if it would be possible to get a European NFL team as well. So, yeah I think there's a lot more around this.
00:43:52
Speaker
There's been definitely talk about that at at times. But I don't know. As far as a stadium. Yeah, I don't know how other teams would take that. The fact they'd have to travel over, like whatever. But like it's very possible. you know the only i think the only thing is the fact they could do international games, like whatever.
00:44:11
Speaker
Split that season, nine times it'd be an international game. Whatever, that's grand. But the only thing for me is... 53, 70, 80 players at an NFL caliber would they want to not live in America?
00:44:24
Speaker
and I don't think so. That's the main stopping point Yeah, that's very true as well, yeah. Yeah, because they the different tax brackets, like I know that sounds ridiculous, but with the money they're in there, if you go, if you have to pay your 53% tax in England over...
00:44:38
Speaker
27% in Philadelphia, for example. like yeah That's a massive kind of... yeah so are all All of a sudden, there are 200 million contracts. There'll be, on well, i want 400 million if you think I'm moving to London kind of thing. i think yeah I think that would be a massive stickler before they got a team into Europe at all. like Yeah, I'm happy anyway to have this first game here. i hope We're all going to show it. We're all going to show them. I think Henry Hodgson, the...
00:45:04
Speaker
He's like over the NFL in the UK, possibly could be the NFL commissioner in the future. He seems like the type of guy who'd be great for that. But he's been excellent growing the game around the Europe and Ireland as well.
00:45:16
Speaker
And he did mention that Dublin, you know, the fact of the size of it, it's just small enough that when the fans will be here, everyone will know they're here and they'll take over different areas and the buzz will all be kind of In one area. And that can be seen last year and in previous years. But I think especially last year at the college game that was here, it was very much... Everyone knew they were there. was a few-day event with Pat McAfee coming over.
00:45:41
Speaker
And this will just be bigger and better. And i I really think that this could be something to mark that we'll have an Ireland game every year, hopefully. Hopefully. ah that but That would literally be the dream outcome. If we put on such a show this time, they say, well, we can't not send it back there next year now. And then if we just...
00:45:58
Speaker
Oh, the possibilities are endless really when you think about it and hopefully hopefully this is the start of something really, really, really special. That would be absolutely ideal. Yeah, I really hope so. First time since 2009 as well that Croke Park will have seats in the hill.
00:46:12
Speaker
Oh, wow. Yeah, that'll be a big job to do that. and That'll be an interesting one to see as well, um but what that looks like. But obviously it's a long so long game. Fans aren't really going to be standing for that whole thing.
00:46:24
Speaker
yeah So it makes sense, I suppose, for... for for them to do that and I wonder what the agreement is there with that will be an interesting one too but I think that's all we have on that for now we'll be talking at a lot throughout the summer and stuff definitely yeah there's a lot more come on this huge one we're really looking forward to it so last up then power rankings let's go ahead then I think I went first last week so I'll let you go first this week throughout your your picks from last week and what you've changed. So last week I had Liverpool top, the Knicks in second, Man City were thirds, Pacers fourth, OKC fifth and Wolves sixth.
00:46:58
Speaker
but This week Newport stay top. and When your manager can go to a beats after 36 league games, I think it's pretty safe to say that dear you're doing a pretty good job. So they stay top. The Pacers made such light work of the Cavs, I couldn't believe it. So they've jumped up to second for me.

The Knicks are still winning. I know they were very poor last night, but I don't think they deserve to be dropped completely yet. They were really good in the first four games. Just one bad game doesn't make a swallow.
00:47:25
Speaker
One bad swallow, whatever. Doesn't matter. Keep going. Man City are down to port for me. So they do have a cup final coming up. They are still winning games. They have definitely found their feet over the last couple of weeks.
00:47:37
Speaker
I just hope they have a reason to chow them out for next week because Palace go back in to win the cup. Spoiler alert. OKC stay at five for me. they have They're making tough work of this Nuggets team and...
00:47:50
Speaker
i I do still think they'll get through. That's why they've kind of stayed in there for me. But I just, I thought they'd have it easier than this. I thought they'd be true by the stage, to be honest. But they're still, they say they are still the best team in basketball. They're not having it as easy as I thought. And...
00:48:04
Speaker
took me a couple of months but Newcastle are back in. Oh, they're back. I really, I hope they, I hope they finish second in the league. I think the run of form they've on has been incredible. Obviously, I hate Arsenal.
00:48:15
Speaker
Won't go too much more into that. And if Newcastle win their last two games, then they finish a second. So, why not? and I just think they're like they were really good again at the weekend against Chelsea. and Can't complain with that one. I think yeah getting Newcastle back in is good.
00:48:32
Speaker
I was close to putting them back in myself, kind of spoiler on what I'm about to say, but I didn't. i i teetered on it. I thought they were form. While good recently, there's other teams which have been very good too. So yeah what I've gone with is and last week I had OKC, Liverpool, Knicks, City, Pacers and Chelsea.
00:48:51
Speaker
So this week I've moved Pacers up to the top. I think they've been the most impressive team in this round. They've just been super. And like the way they put the Cavs to bed, even when the Cavs did get their guys back in, and in the last game, how good they've been.
00:49:07
Speaker
Halliburton was so good. i just I just think that and that was just last night on on Wednesday night. I think absolutely amazing performance. Really cemented that one for me. Second, I put Timberwolves. and So I know Curry did get injured, but they did exactly what needed to be done.
00:49:26
Speaker
and they played really impressive basketball. yeah They didn't capitulate in that game also where the Warriors were kind of leading. i think it was game three. They still put them to bed in that one when Edwards got going. I've just been really impressed with them, and I think having a good bit of rest now before, like right now it's 3-2 to OKC in their series against the Nuggets. They're playing tonight, so you guys know tomorrow might be over, it might be 4-2, but still an extra couple of days rest makes a big difference. Yeah, massive difference. Especially how beat up OKC will be with how physical they're playing against the Nuggets.
00:49:58
Speaker
So that's number two, Pacers, T-Wolves, then Liverpool are in third. and they've they've just been but been so good this season the only reason I put the other two ahead is just they've been more solid in the last couple of weeks and but Liverpool yeah to those who are still kind of playing for something as well whereas Liverpool are travelling off like the lads in Dubai the management team are in the visa they really do not care anymore like it's yeah I probably should have put Brighton in. well I was going to put Brighton in to Gan Shands, but they were both.
00:50:27
Speaker
And the only team was on. I was like, that just goes to show that even the Buc-ee's on back Liverpool at this point. Yeah, that's mad. But I think... Yeah, they're third winning. They're currently 15 points ahead at the top of the league. It's just been a brilliant season. So they're third, my first team for soccer. Then fourth are OKC.
00:50:44
Speaker
And I just think they've they've slipped for me four spots. I just think the other two teams have been more impressive in the NBA in the last couple of weeks. But I do think what OKC have been doing is championship-worthy basketball.
00:50:56
Speaker
The way they've been grinding out the fourth quarters, they think they won the last two fourth quarters by like 30 odd points combined in two massive games against the Nuggets, which could have easily swung the other way. They're showing their mettle.
00:51:07
Speaker
And I think that is pretty powerful after the season they've had so far. And then in fifth, I've gone for a new addition. I've gone with Brentford. They're on a really good run. I think they've won their last four games and they're unbeaten in six, I think.
00:51:22
Speaker
And they're basically setting themselves up now in eight. They're ahead of Brighton on goal difference. If they continue in their last few games, they will finish in in the top eight and they will get Europe, which is absolutely amazing. So I think they're well-deserving of that. Then City are sixth.
00:51:37
Speaker
I had them higher last week, but I just think yeah they have to... They kind of have to go into sixth after drama Southampton. It's just not acceptable to be doing that. So yeah, they're in sixth now. So that's my sixth for this week. But that's pretty much it unless you have anything else.
00:51:53
Speaker
No, nothing to add this week. think we actually need to get that back up and going again or any other business. We'll get it going again from next week for us. Yeah. No, not so done.
