Lifestyle of Longevity: Hi everyone.

Kristine: Hi.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Hi and happy weekend, everyone. Hello. Welcome to the tennis bakery.

Kristine: Very happy weekend.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, tennis bakery time. Baked goods have maybe been eaten already this morning for breakfast. Sunday morning, Sunday morning.

Kristine: Hopefully.

Lifestyle of Longevity: night We had pancakes, but you know, kind of counts. No, it's not a bit good. No.

Kristine: Oh, yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But anyway.

Kristine: I think it counts as a big good.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But it's not baked.

Kristine: Yeah, but still, I mean, it's kind of a baked good.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I think it doesn't count. But anyway, never mind. um um

Kristine: Well it counts more than my oats that I had this morning. which weren't even heated, so...

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes.

Kristine: Therefore.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, no, no. um Yes. Tennis Bakery fan podcast about tennis. ah um My friend Christina and I, we are following the US Open 2026 and talking about it and letting you guys listen in on our little chats about what's going on in the tennis from the perspective of a fan. And today we are going to discuss the women's final which took place last night in New York.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And um I watched it this morning. When did you watch it?

Kristine: Yeah, also this morning. I didn't even start yesterday. I think I fell asleep at 10 and... That was basically when the whole thing.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: started to go down, right?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. so um Maybe um just setting the stage. um so I actually, it was it was really nice. um I put on the fireplace.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And I made some pancake batter. And we have like an open kitchen, which leads into the the living room where we have a um ah television that we use when we want to watch sports together.

Kristine: Did it show?

Lifestyle of Longevity: And so um I put on the fireplace and I made the pancake batter and the kids came down. My husband's traveling, so he was out of this. and um yeah it was just like very celebratory it was like Okay, kids.

Lifestyle of Longevity: We're gonna get started. And we watched it together and it was really nice. And I made the pancakes. and The pancakes were eaten and we all got to enjoy. the final together.

Lifestyle of Longevity: What was your stage? What was your your watching situation?

Kristine: and My stage was slightly different. and We had a family breakfast together without any... kind of TV v or anything on but just The four of us having a calm.

Kristine: family breakfast, which was lovely. And then afterwards. Like 100 % perfection, because what happened is my kids went upstairs to do their things.

Kristine: and my husband went training. into our um home gym. That means... I was having the whole living room for myself. sat down, made myself a coffee.

Kristine: and just watched. I think. the first two sets. All alone. without anybody disturbing me like... It was lovely. and then for the last set i um When to do a train, like. a HIIT workout actually on my Cross trainer.

Kristine: which which I'm still sweaty about because this has only been, I think, half an hour before we started the recording. So I'm still out of breath, kind of. Not only from the...

Kristine: a hit session, but also from the match.

Kristine: Yeah, so therefore that was my that was my setting. And I really loved it because it was calm. I could focus on the match. You know, I had a lovely coffee, a coffee next to it. So I really. Loved it.

Lifestyle of Longevity: That's... Great. That's really good. Hmm. I love watching sports with my kids, so I was happy to have them around. And they um it was especially nice when... um Irina Sabalenka, who lost the first set.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Managed to win the second set. Seven, five. in a very close game at the end there, and we all screamed very, very loudly. when she won. The second set.

Lifestyle of Longevity: There was lots of screaming going on and excitement. um And then, yes, and then it all went to shit.

Kristine: Yeah, hope was going up, right? Because we wanted actually Arina Sabalenka to win, right?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes, i'm actually I actually don't even want to talk about anything else. We can stop the podcast now.

Kristine: Okay, bye.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, I also think there's not a lot to say.

Kristine: There's not much to discuss. Because... yeah and Yeah, there's not much but... We should still discuss it briefly. And then discuss. Like the beautiful outfit. Yeah. that Rebecca now is wearing when she did the photoshoot afterwards. Hmm. I don't know if you've seen it already. But anyway, but let's discuss the match first.

Lifestyle of Longevity: go Well, please go ahead.

Kristine: Um... I think Rebecca played well. Full stop. I think she earned to win it.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Well, that's what I mean where there's not a lot to say.

Kristine: Yeah. I did not disagree to that and I still don't.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, she played well. Um, it's amazing how she could win a first set even though she only had a 30 or under 30 % first serves. It's bananas.

Lifestyle of Longevity: You really have to be playing well. So.

Kristine: And it is really crazy, right? When you think of the fact, I think we mentioned it before, but she had a foot or like an an ankle injury or still has it because there's still some taping there.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: And, um... She couldn't walk. like a week or two weeks before the US Open started. And now she's won the whole thing. Like how? Is this even possible? Anyway. So I think Sabalenka started to play well in the second set or like there were stretches of time in the second set that she played well. I think we also have to mention that.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But yeah, she did.

Kristine: Yeah, but...

Lifestyle of Longevity: And she definitely showed. um her lioness side and the thing that i think is um different from past defeats that she's had. in the last months, was that this time it wasn't her head that got in the way.

Lifestyle of Longevity: it I think her mindset was right. and And I'm really sad that it didn't work out even though her mindset was right. Because I think she her head was in the right space. She had her big girl panties on. She was pulling herself together. She was going in for the big points. She was in mentally in the right space. This time it really was her body.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I felt like it looked like she had a lower back pain. She kept on touching her back and she wasn't moving as smoothly as she usually does. She didn't say anything about it. i'm not I don't know if she's publicly said anything about it. But yeah, I feel like this time it was more her body.

Lifestyle of Longevity: that didn't.

Kristine: Yeah, which led to the fact that she was just outplayed. And I think... um Yeah. the right person won this this match like right person in a sense that she just played Later. Rebecca now. She did.

Kristine: She was cool. She was ice cold. She won and again didn't show much emotion.

Lifestyle of Longevity: She smiled.

Kristine: I mean. She smiled. Yeah. She smiled. She smiled a lot. But apart from that, I think it's really, it's so interesting because these two types of characters are so clashing, right? So when um there was the celebration afterwards, Sabalenka could almost not have her speech because she was so close to tears or actually crying, right? Straight up crying when the speech happened and she had to cut it short because she was so just so emotionally upset. Well, obviously.

Kristine: um Yeah, and for Helena, this was... different right also the celebration if you compare this to like former celebrations of I don't know, Irina Sabalenka, for example. She's like jumping up and down, running to her box, screaming, you know, kind of really celebrating heart and fore.

Kristine: Jelena, she walked to her box after she won. like after quite some time after she won, she walked to her box and then there was brief hug. With her box,

Kristine: And a high five with one person of her box. And that was it. and I don't.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I was like, good job. Good job. Good job.

Kristine: yeah okay well okay let's go let's do the next thing now So... the Oh God. we would really want for her that she's just celebrating more.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. But I think ah with Sabalenka, it really touched me because um you she's ah like you've said, or we've said several times, she's super emotional. You see her. joy, when she's happy, and when she's proud, you see her angry, you see her um Disappointed like you see all these but you Don't see her sad a lot.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Sad is a really, really rare emotion with Sabalenka. It's kind of like her most well vulnerable. She does not show herself sad. She's always on top of things in some kind of way, also emotionally.

Kristine: And she also does obviously not like it. Did you see the reel where she shoot or try to shoot the camera away? after she lost.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, she she did, and she wasn't, and I think she didn't find the right words because she she she swore at the cameraman, which I also... Don't think it's okay. Yeah, you can ask him to leave.

Lifestyle of Longevity: um But yeah, it really touched me that she was that she showed... Sadness. And I have mixed feelings about these coaching boxes being right on the court.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So at the US Open, as in the Australian Open, they now have these few seats, which like in the corner of the court where the coaches or four people can sit. And um I thought for this situation, it was really nice to have it because normally the losing player sits by themselves on their little bench.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And.

Kristine: Which is so hard right, because they have to wait until the whole stage is set up and everything.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. and ah but And by the way, I don't get it why people say that's so terrible about tennis in every single sport. in the final Everyone stays on the court. No one leaves. It's not a tennis thing. It's a...

Kristine: ah No, I didn't say that, but it's still hard.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I know, but it's it's said in so many other situations. People claim this is a tennis. This is something that makes tennis so hard. This isn't something that makes tennis so hard. If you're in a final and you lose. you need to stay on the court and be you know grace the other team celebrate the other team receive your silver medal second place whatever it is and move on that's one of the tough things about being in a final.

Lifestyle of Longevity: and not winning is having to go through that as you do in tennis and I think it was nice for her that she didn't have to sit by herself on her little bench but she just went over to her boys And sat like.

Lifestyle of Longevity: between them and just sat They didn't seem to be talking about anything, but she got to sit with them. And they, in general, they seem like a safety caca around her in so many situations.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And it was nice that she had this safety co call with them. Today. um I thought that was... That was a nice thing about having the seats on the court.

Kristine: Yes, another nice thing that I thought was just... The way that the or the fact not the way the fact that the junior singles um title winners were presented in the breaks and also the wheelchair champions were presented.

Kristine: and I said I found it a nice thing, the fact that they were presented, but I always find it a bit rushed and a bit like. not properly presented or something right because i think it's a good thing that for example wheelchair tennis gets a bit more attention because i think what they are doing is just Unbelievable. and um

Kristine: I would have loved to have this included maybe into the final ceremony or something. and Because when they do this in the breaks, they kind of stand or or sit at the sides of the court. Once the players have their break like that. few second break.

Kristine: And they are just brief briefly presented and then they. Kind of a shoot of the...

Lifestyle of Longevity: I would not include it in the final ceremony.

Kristine: of the court again.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I find these ceremonies are too like too long to begin with.

Kristine: Do you find them too long?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Everyone's always...

Kristine: I don't find them too long. I think they're quite brief.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Everyone's always distracted. the players always say exactly the same thing you could literally copy paste it from one to another it's always the second one then it's the first one occasionally someone has one funny line but in general it's saying how i'm incredible it is that this is happening or how sad it is that it happened saying congrats to the other player either who win or who was defeated for the for the thanking their team and the people, thanking the fans, thanking the organization.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And I'll be back next year.

Kristine: Yeah, I still don't find the thing too long, especially not at the US Open. It was just a thing of five or ten minutes and it would have been another two minutes to include those.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, but then I wouldn't.

Kristine: I just find it a bit... I don't know if condescending is the right word, but like to present them in between the breaks just is a bit strange. And I think it's not kind of it's not nice.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I thought of it was. I think the alternative is nothing. Because I don't think they belong in the in the final... Um...

Kristine: I do think so. So let's let's agree or disagree on that one.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. I thought they were very excited. And they looked really happy and they get their ceremony when they win their prize. like It's not like they don't have one. They they have they have one where they're appreciated.

Kristine: Of course. Of course, but this is just a completely different audience, right? And I just always think that it's a good thing that they get this bigger audience as well.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I think it would be something if you add that into the final thing people will be like no one cares They all don't care. And it's sad enough at it is as it is like that. At least there's a moment where it's only about them, even if it's a minute.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's only about them. They're not folded into to ah someone else's ceremony.

Kristine: Where they're completely folded in and into the final. They're just like in the breaks and more or less being shooed off the court. But anyway, let's agree on disagreeing about that. I just think it's good that they are being ah mentioned and presented and have a place um in the final. I think that's a good thing. And another thing that I found... um good or sweet in this case was, did you see the um I think it was a reel from the US Open. I'm not 100 % sure, but where this little girl from the yeah from the lemonade stand.

Kristine: was meeting up with Elena Rebecca after the after she won.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: she I saw the one where she asked her the first question in the press conference.

Kristine: Yes, and I mean exactly that reel. And if you watch this reel to the end, then there's, I mean, that was this little girl, right? She's called Emery and she was apparently. working on a u .s open lemonade stand not quite sure because i think she was maybe eight years old or nine years old or something like that.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Well, there's that group of kids that, I mean, you know that you know the lemonade stand, though.

Kristine: Yes, I know the lemonade stand, but im how old was she?

Lifestyle of Longevity: yeah yeah that all of the kids that that were working at the working in parenthesis at the lemonade stand were like

Kristine: Yeah. Nine or 10 or something.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Seven, eight, like you said. Yeah, yeah.

Kristine: So she was she was a quite a small girl, a really cute girl. And um she was allowed to ask a question ask a question to Elena Rybakina in the press conference.

Lifestyle of Longevity: The first.

Kristine: conference

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm hmm.

Kristine: Yeah. And she also how she felt about winning and everything. So it was really, really cute. And if you kept on watching this reel, then at the end, there was also some footage where she met up with Elena Rebecca, obviously before the press conference on court, um where Elena Rebecca had the trophy in her hand and allowed Emery to hold the trophy.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Aya? mm -hmm

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Oh. That's special.

Kristine: And Emery was almost dying because she was so afraid to kind of.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm -hmm

Kristine: let it slip and and, you know, kind of whatever happened to that trophy then. And so she gave it back to Jelena in a second. And it was just really cute. They had such a cute exchange and Jelena was kind of encouraging her to keep on playing tennis because she plays tennis and was suggesting that maybe in 14, 15 years, she's the one holding this trophy. And oh God.

Kristine: i just really i always love it if they include kids in their content kids and

Lifestyle of Longevity: and no

Kristine: Animals.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Dogs. Yeah. definitely um yeah in formula one there's actually a few trophies um that are made out of porcelain

Kristine: Mmm. Oh, you cannot slip.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And it has happened. and it

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: and it has happened that players have like and these are like trophies that have been worked on for

Kristine: Oh God.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Like a year, someone has been doing stuff. that you do to make.

Kristine: You don't want to break them. You just don't.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, and it's happened, I think last year, it just happened that Landon Norris smashed one of the... One of the balls that on like on the big. on the big stage and there was some work done on the trophies um for the um

Kristine: God.

Lifestyle of Longevity: for the US Open this year. They actually showed this in the app. There was a pop -up. Now during the semifinals, there was a pop -up that came up about the trophies, um which said to create each US Open Singles Championship trophy.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Tiffany's and that's the point I want to talk about master artisans apply time -honored skills skills and then they mention them over a span of approximately six months.

Kristine: God.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But totaling 66 hours of labor, so it's well spread out. The six, on the six months, are they?

Kristine: It's not a six month from morning to evening.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, it's not. Yeah, I thought that was another very US open thing to do to Brand. the engraving of the trophy It's now Tiffany branded.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And it's they've done this, I think, um in most of the tournaments now, you see the name being engraved in the trophy. um as you did here but in this case it was branded it was tiffany ah tiffany branded experience and this pop -up that came up in the app was also tiffany branded so that you know what goes is that what work goes into the trophy and the trophy actually stays In New York.

Lifestyle of Longevity: the trophy does not move they get a like a replica. which they then also get to. to keep.

Kristine: I always really enjoy it when they show kind of briefly like things that are happening. you know, kind of in the back rooms of the US Open, like with the strings that were being shown, I think for some Zverev match, I think it was, where they've shown the man who's doing the stringing on the rackets.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes.

Kristine: And like this time they have shown like briefly a short video of the person engraving the um Tiffany trophy after Rybakina won. And I always love that. i I would really love to see more of that.

Kristine: I really am a big fan of that. And I think also um To pick Tiffany as a brand for the trophy, I mean, of course, there was a lot of money involved, but just from the brand standpoint, I think it's quite fitting.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Totally.

Kristine: I think it's quite fitting. I think it's Most likely the most well -known jewelry brand. that Is US based? At least I can't think of... a bigger one right now.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes. And it's very New York and everything.

Kristine: So I think that's...

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's all like, that's really. suited Suitable.

Kristine: yeah And just to celebrate the day, look.

Lifestyle of Longevity: You were, Tiffany.

Kristine: I'm just wearing i my Tiffany bracelet right now, just because that's a good thing.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm hmm. You're definitely right. Good for you. Good for you and good for Tiffany.

Kristine: Mm. Mm -hmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: good for Good for them. um Tell me, where can I find, because I cannot find any of the pictures. even though I've been searching in parallel, I'll go back on that afterwards.

Kristine: Yeah, they have not been released um officially.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, but where have you seen reels?

Kristine: I've just seen like a fan. It was a fan content. um let Let me see because there was a fan. like in close proximity to where they had the shooting. the official shooting,

Lifestyle of Longevity: Uh -huh.

Kristine: And she or he? Let me hold on. I need to see whether I saved it. um Took a video of the shooting and there you saw what she was wearing. And I just think it looks amazing.

Kristine: I'm sending it over to you right now.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Because what also looked amazing... which shows that she does have. she does have taste, was the outfit she wore on the way to the final.

Kristine: Oh I didn't see that.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But you like the real. You're funny.

Kristine: Oh really?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, I'd seen that you liked the reel, so I was sure that you were going to mention it.

Kristine: maybe Maybe it was the white suit.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, no, it was a It was also two a two piece, as I can see now.

Kristine: No?

Lifestyle of Longevity: So what you have sent me now, you need to describe it. You're the fashionista between us. So you.

Kristine: No, i've just I've just seen it and I think it looks amazing on her because we have critiqued quite a lot of her outfits, right, in on court um in the past, like Elena Rebecca -ness, because I think they don't do such a great job, her sponsors, to pick colors that suit her type.

Lifestyle of Longevity: isn't it

Kristine: I just think you can't you You can't do what they did to her with this US Open on court, at least. And so as where I was just so pleasantly surprised by this um white suit that she was wearing.

Kristine: I think it looks like a satin suit with a really oversized blazer and a wide legged pant that has a little bit of a wave tone to tone pattern on it.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's oversized. Mm hmm. Peace. Mm -hmm

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm hmm.

Kristine: But it is very flowy and satiny and yeah, very. It suits her perfectly. It is this white, but not too bright, kind of a little bit of an eggshell color. And it does have this bralette top underneath. So she's showing a little bit of her belly and her perfect.

Kristine: um her her perfect skin i think she's Always looking like a porcelain. Oh, lady, I think she loves she looks awesome. And um I just think this outfit fits her very well because she also had these.

Kristine: Really huge earrings. um that she was wearing with it. They were like... like silver sparkly diamond

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm hmm.

Kristine: I don't know what kind of shape they were. It looked like a waterfall or something like silver sparkly. um And I just think the whole outfit together looked. amazing on her so I'm really looking forward to seeing the official pictures.

Kristine: I don't think they are ah released yet though. I also haven't seen them at least. So I think it looks amazing.

Lifestyle of Longevity: moon

Kristine: That white outfit.

Lifestyle of Longevity: all right and now we have to find so on her way to um the u .s open when she arrived she wasn't wearing tracksuit she's she was wearing a

Kristine: Oh, was it the burgundy one?

Lifestyle of Longevity: ah Burgundy.

Kristine: Yeah, now I remember.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm hmm.

Kristine: Yes, I've seen that one. That looked amazing as well.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, I thought also that looked really nice on her. It's like also like it's also a suit.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So apparently she's she's she's good with suits.

Kristine: Mm hmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: um she won uh she wore this suit um it was burgundy colors walking from the car to the um to the entrance oh there she is

Kristine: Yes, yes, yes. I remember now the real.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And it has kind of like, it's it's not like a um a business suit.

Kristine: Yes. It's beautiful.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's more like. Looks more like a denim jacket. It's a bit poofy um And it just looks really good on her. and and i And I really feel for her because she knowing she's such a tall woman and I always struggle so much with gett finding trousers that are long enough.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And I'm sure she does too. It's just like the struggle is real.

Kristine: oh yeah she has the longest legs i'm sure they have to do like the trousers especially for her yeah

Lifestyle of Longevity: totally so um yeah but i think it kind of shows she does seem to have or care about fashion. Like...

Kristine: Yes, yes, yes.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But then why is she wearing what she's wearing on the court?

Kristine: Yeah, I don't know. i i' I don't understand. I just don't. I just don't understand why she would ever wear this yellow top that she was wearing for the last...

Lifestyle of Longevity: The whole thing.

Kristine: Two matches, three matches.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And then the white shoes with the, with the blue on it.

Kristine: Yeah, no, I know.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And then the yellow top with the black and it's just, no, and then it's nine, nine.

Kristine: Just know. Yeah. No. Just no. but the white suit outfit made up for it. I think it looks.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It did, which no one has seen yet except that one fan and you described discovered it sneakily.

Kristine: um Yeah.

Kristine: Yeah, like Instagram knew that I would be interested in this suit and showed me this fan content.

Lifestyle of Longevity: who

Kristine: I'm really happy for that. And by the way, as um I think maybe also in one of the next episodes we can discuss this, I came across um some really, really great tennis content.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Totally.

Kristine: producers or like um influencers or I don't know, creators um on Instagram recently. ah god There's so much beautiful, well done in tennis content on Instagram.

Kristine: I mean, obviously from the slams, right? I really like the, like, for example, the Wimbledon content, or roanggaasa stuff um but also like.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: individual Tennis creators. okot I'm really so happy to have found them.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, there's so much competition. Oh, there's so much competition on my... Instagram feed. that I think I have found some, but I also have all the Formula One and the NFL.

Lifestyle of Longevity: content coming in now and I'm pretending like I'm not a soccer fan because If I also start liking the soccer videos of the soccer. teams that I enjoy then. I find that content's the most boring.

Kristine: oh

Lifestyle of Longevity: So I can not have that. I find the Formula One content is the best. Oh my God, it's so good. then... Follow it up by, yeah, I think tennis.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And NFL is also sometimes not.

Kristine: You know what? i'm Speaking of fan content, I had just briefly opened my Instagram and showed like, I think it's fan content, but maybe it looks too professional maybe for fan content, but I just sent it to you.

Lifestyle of Longevity: and

Lifestyle of Longevity: Oh, God, yeah, she looks awful she looks lovely.

Kristine: Um, a creator called MikMikNYC.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Stunning.

Kristine: And um the video that I was just looking at was um Alex Yala, so the Philippine tennis player who everybody loves so much, um at the Calvin Klein Fashion Show. and oh God.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Look at her.

Kristine: She looks amazing!

Lifestyle of Longevity: She looks absolutely stunning. She looks like a model.

Kristine: This outfit. Yes.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, I mean her face. I mean everything, the hair.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: She looks absolutely stunning wearing gloves, white gloves.

Kristine: Yeah? Yeah. It's... It. It looks amazing, right?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Work it.

Kristine: We just love a good fan content.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Oh, man. Yeah, and she's I mean, and she knows how to pose as well. She's I mean, she's posing in front of these cameras as if it's like something that she's been.

Kristine: looks prefesh Looks profesh.

Lifestyle of Longevity: doing every day for years. Super profesh. We love us some Alex Diallo content.

Kristine: A lot of... administ Is Mic Mic NYC also the one? that That did the other out. No, that was... Cool -ly sun.

Kristine: No, Kuliza, NYC. So. Strange Boat. and YC content.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I mean... It's interesting because apparently it's New York Fashion Week, which is why this is happening. Because that's something that i that had me um wondering. I find the US Open or in general tennis competitions are really hard for brands to navigate.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And here comes why. You never know how long the tennis player is going to be. in the competition. So you have a two -week competition. but literally the people you book for your event.

Lifestyle of Longevity: could be out after the first day, and then they're gone. So... And you can't do it too much before the event either because there everyone's still and ah at other competitions, right? I mean, I think.

Lifestyle of Longevity: The week just before the US Open, I think there's nothing major. But anyway, they're coming from all over the place. They have to settle in New York. So if you're a brand and the US Open is the most marketed of all the slams.

Lifestyle of Longevity: You have to do your activations like... In... Like the day before or the first days.

Kristine: You have a small, a potentially small time. window.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So small. So small. And it's such a waste because then you have people like. Irina, who's then there for two weeks, you could have done stuff with her on week two, but you just don't know. you don't know and that makes i think marketing so struggling and that's why it seems like on these first few days you know arena was getting all that shit from journalists about basically going out too much and not concentrating on tennis oh yeah Girl's got to work. She's got different stuff that she, that she. does to earn her money. and

Lifestyle of Longevity: She apparently enjoys going out a bit and all, of course, she's going to have all her invitations in these first two days because. That's the only time when brands can do events. So you're going to have like.

Lifestyle of Longevity: four, five, six, they must like have like 20 invites a night. And then choose two or something or three to go to because it's impossible to market. So it's actually quite good for the New York Fashion Week if that's.

Lifestyle of Longevity: now basically I don't know exactly when it is But like this it might... you know, you can still. feed off a bit of the tennis crowd as are Calvin Klein. Well done.

Lifestyle of Longevity: um and then move on but otherwise yeah it's a real struggle for brands Unless you actually pay the big bucks and sponsor the tournament.

Kristine: Yeah.

Kristine: Yeah, like Aura did or JP Morgan.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: JP Morgan CEO. presented the trophy, right?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes, of course. That's the last thing if you were sponsoring Okay, say you're one of those... big brands like JP Morgan or Harvey or whoever. i' raffle around, whatever. What is the perk that you negotiate the number one perk that you negotiate into your contract, what you want for paying the millions of dollars that you'll be paying to sponsor the US Open?

Kristine: Are you thinking in the direction of OUYA paying that for next US s Open?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Sure. What's the number one?

Kristine: So we can present the trophy.

Lifestyle of Longevity: look What's the number one perk? What are you asking for?

Kristine: Mmm. I think the presentation of the trophy is a quite great park. But then I would go for the best suits, like the the best place to watch the tennis. for the tournament. End.

Kristine: A lot of free tickets to give away. Apart from obviously placing the brand in a very visible. spot for all the crowd, like for example, on court as many brands did.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I could not care less about handing over the trophy at all. No shits given at all.

Kristine: We have already learned that you don't like the ceremony after the final.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No shit's given at all. Absolutely. Give that to someone else I will save that. that basically that perk for something else. So I completely agree. I want a really nice ah box.

Kristine: And I want an hour with Carlos Alcaraz alone in a hotel room.

Lifestyle of Longevity: On Louis Armstrong. Exactly. exactly okay no well i'm not going that far whoops no i'm not going that far i want I'd want i'd i'd want some meet and greets with the players.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I want to be hanging out. So I want. I would like a ah box on Louis Armstrong. And on Ash then for the last for the last four days, of course. But before that, Louis Armstrong. then on Ash and I want some form of meet and greet with the players. They don't have to like make a special meet and greet for me. I can be part of a general meet and greet, but I'm sure there's certain like.

Lifestyle of Longevity: dinners or lunches or maybe I just get access to the cafeteria. and get to hang out there and like sneak up on people or something. Yeah. Like loiter around.

Kristine: With some tennis balls to sign.

Lifestyle of Longevity: loiter around or maybe, oh, you know, there's always those training facilities. Access to the training facilities. Get my sweat on with them. Every day get fit and hang out with the tennis stars at the same time.

Kristine: I love that

Lifestyle of Longevity: That would be so much cooler than handing over the trophy.

Kristine: I want all of that and I want to hand over the trophy.

Lifestyle of Longevity: ah No, that doesn't work.

Kristine: interesting

Lifestyle of Longevity: You see, that's the whole point. I was asking like, what are the specific. perks that we are going for. Yeah, it's madness. It's all madness. did um Did Coco end up wearing her Oura ring at any time? That's one thing that I still wanted to check on.

Kristine: I don't know. i didn't I didn't see her wearing it, at least.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's dramatic.

Kristine: It's dramatic, right? Another thing that could be dramatic could be the match tonight.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah go for it. What's happening tonight?

Kristine: Tonight we have the men's... Final. I mean, it's our tonight, right? It's Berlin time tonight. The u US Open local time would be afternoon.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But also same day. We're actually going to have it on the same day.

Kristine: Yeah, it's just... Yeah. It's the same day.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No aura ring on any and any fingers of any Coco Goth.

Kristine: um

Kristine: Interesting, right? It is interesting. And they even did this video with Taylor Fritz, who kind of mentioned lengthily in this video that he really enjoys playing tennis with the Oura ring on his finger.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, yeah Exactly.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And Coco was like, uh, no.

Kristine: Any. And she goes, that's not true for me.

Lifestyle of Longevity: But I'll take the New Balance nails, maybe they just didn't pay enough.

Kristine: Hmph.

Kristine: Yeah, ah back to the men's final tonight. ah Yeah. this afternoon for US time, this an evening for us. I'm... kind of looking forward to it, but I'm not pumped.

Kristine: I think that's what I'm feeling about this match. um What is your general feeling ahead of this match?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Same.

Kristine: Interesting.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Same, same. I cared more about Sabi winning, like I said yesterday.

Kristine: if

Lifestyle of Longevity: This time it's like

Kristine: Yeah, I think maybe we are still we we are still in the processing phase of the grief of Irina losing. And maybe if you would have asked us, I don't know, half an hour before the final of the men, maybe we would have been more pumped then.

Kristine: But I'm still angry at Ben Shelton for kicking out Carlos Alcaraz, so... Um. yeah still i already said yesterday right i want him to win I really want him to win but I think

Lifestyle of Longevity: Okay, so you want Ben to win because you're mad at him.

Kristine: Yes. Yes, it's a bit illogical, right? But i'm I'm thinking like he kicked out Carlos and... I think it is less of a pain if he would ah would at least be the one winning the whole tour tournament because he was like the best player in this tournament.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mm -hmm

Kristine: You know, kind of this is my logic.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Mhm.

Kristine: And if he's losing to Sascha... It's still like come on You didn't make most of that. You had your chance by kicking out Carlos. Why didn't you at least use it? Hmm.

Kristine: Yeah. So therefore... I think he should win. Do I think he will win is a different question.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes, that's my next question.

Kristine: I think it's so hard to predict, right? Because Sascha played so... like It was very volatile, his his game quality like his his playing quality over the last matches.

Kristine: So you really don't know what to expect. You really don't know.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, you really don't know

Kristine: I just, I just, know I think Ben Shelton will win. I'm just manifesting manifesting manifesting What do you think?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Well, i um I would like Zasha to win. I think he...

Lifestyle of Longevity: deserves to win another championship, how consistently he's played this year. Um... it also It's also funny if someone reaches the final of every single Grand Slam, or the semi -finals of every single Grand Slam, the final of... three Grand slams wins at least one of them. And there's still a discussion of who is the number three in man's tennis.

Lifestyle of Longevity: right also like Oh, if Shelton wins, then finally he's the number three. What do you mean? What do you mean if Shelton wins the US s Open, he's the number three in men's tennis?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Just know. It's this thing again where just... Just because you don't like somebody, you're like blocking out the objective information. that's on the table. about what this per what people or players are delivering or not.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Pissing me off. It's pissing me off. Anyway, but at least it's kind of like I want to be a bit like Booyah to those people.

Kristine: Okay.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And be like.

Kristine: And then...

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, no, you see, here you go.

Kristine: No.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Here you go. he I mean, I think even if he loses, he's still the obvious number three because. He was.

Kristine: He just is.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I mean he might be. He... if If Sinner stays out, he will most likely be the number one at the end of the year. If you count until now, I think he's has' he got more points than him. I think so.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Um, in

Kristine: I don't, I'm just also to manifest this, I don't want Senna to stay out because I want to see Senna.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No.

Kristine: and Alcaroz at the ATP Finals in November. Just. So saying this out loud to the universe.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Okay, yes, let's manifest that. Yes, have to do that. the Universe, please please send Christina.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yannick Sene.

Kristine: Yep.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Um,

Kristine: yep

Lifestyle of Longevity: And but, you know, he is. Sasha's just quite obviously The number three. and maybe definitely most like this year actually the number two and maybe even this year the number one in men's tennis there's no discussion and i just kind of feel like people might shut up a bit more if he gets another one under his belt

Kristine: I don't think so. I think they will.

Lifestyle of Longevity: No, they won't, will they?

Kristine: kind of still wait for the moment to prove.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's just like even if Djokovic gets the 25, they won't shut up about Roger being the best tennis player of all times.

Kristine: Mmm. I think they will just wait for moments to prove that he's not as good as...

Lifestyle of Longevity: okay

Kristine: as one might think.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Because you know Not being injured is also... part of being one of the best.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It is. Being consistently healthy for an entire 12 months.

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: In this sport.

Kristine: is hard.

Lifestyle of Longevity: is also it yeah And it's also a sign of being a great athlete.

Kristine: is hard.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's not something that happens on the side or by coincidence.

Kristine: Yeah.

Kristine: No.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's because you recover right. It's because you get treated correctly. Of course, a lot of it is...

Kristine: It's a good management of which games you're playing, oh like which tournaments you're playing and which you aren't.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. Yeah. that's part of it so it's not like it's it's just luck because he's not injured and the others are and hence he gets to the points handed to him no he's and the fact that he isn't injured also is also part of a skill

Kristine: Yeah.

Lifestyle of Longevity: part of being a a good sportsman so yeah that is that's why I kind of wish he would win.

Kristine: Yeah, I agree.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Even though i i I've liked Ben Shelton since years, I really, really appreciate him and his dad as ah as a team. There will also be a lot of joy in me for what it means if Ben Shelton wins.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Like, this is definitely not like... uh the french was for me or wimbledon was for me where i had a clear favorite ah This is like, I i would prefer Sasha to win, but...

Lifestyle of Longevity: If he doesn't, I think it will also be a really cool experience to see what it would be like for Ben Shelton to to win.

Kristine: he How are you going to watch the or where are you going to watch the match?

Lifestyle of Longevity: Well. It's the first NFL Sunday. of the season.

Kristine: Is it a time clash?

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's a super time clash.

Kristine: Hmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Um, so I will be settling into the NFL Sunday, which starts at seven o 'clock in the evening German time. on Sundays. so

Kristine: That's a huge time clash then.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It is eight. It's ah it's a time cloud. la Full stop. The thing with NFL is. um It's easier to not get spoilers. Because not that many people in Germany.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Have anything to talk about?

Kristine: Talk about it.

Lifestyle of Longevity: i Have anything to do with it? Um, So I can hide from the results easier. So I think I'll be watching and now I'll be getting everything ready for tomorrow. I already have half the stuff. I was pre cooking today.

Lifestyle of Longevity: This morning. I've pre sorted out loads of stuff for the kids for tomorrow So everything is set that I would normally do on the Sunday evening. It's all gonna be sorted out Then I'm going to...

Lifestyle of Longevity: Sit down. And. ah Watch an hour of NFL. And then I'll switch over to the final. And I think my big question, i I don't think I'm going to pull through. I think I'm going to start watching.

Kristine: no if it's more than three sets then I think it's completely impossible to watch the whole Tennis match.

Lifestyle of Longevity: and

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, but you don't know that until...

Kristine: No, of course not.

Lifestyle of Longevity: The end of the third set.

Kristine: but

Lifestyle of Longevity: So I think I'm going to give myself more like two sets and then I'm going to. um decide based on how into the match I am. How about you?

Kristine: Yeah, so I'm having a lovely Sunday ahead of me, full of art, because it's Berlin Art Week right now. So I will come straight from one of the art exhibitions.

Kristine: And most likely... have already eaten dinner. by the time that tennis starts.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: hopefully fingers crossed because I haven't pre -cooked anything I also don't plan on doing that so therefore I hope that I'm finished then and not only need do I need to have need to finish my dinner I also need to finish my after dinner walk before that right so therefore um I'm a bit.

Lifestyle of Longevity: mm -hmm

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes.

Kristine: Under time pressure. when i'm when I'm just strolling through the art galleries of Berlin. And then um I think I will most likely have a cup of tea.

Kristine: A collagen tea. which I love to have. Like a nice scoop of collagen in my tea.

Lifestyle of Longevity: as this Is this... Oh, yeah. Is this is this said you have a new routine?

Kristine: My lavender tea. with a scoop of collagen.

Lifestyle of Longevity: What's up? Have you got... Okay, never mind.

Kristine: Ugh.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I'm not going to... I'm not gonna go into that now

Kristine: This is something we can discuss on our other podcast.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Other podcasts.

Kristine: Yeah. Sorry. Bye. That's what I'm going to have. I will sit down and most likely my smaller daughter will watch at least the first set with with us. as the big The bigger daughter does not care at all about tennis, so she will not even watch a second of it. um And my husband and I, I think, I think are going to watch the.

Kristine: first The first set. For sure. And maybe even the second set before we go to bed and then I'll watch the rest. Tomorrow morning. with a cup of coffee.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah. Yeah. I'll be watching it when I work out tomorrow.

Kristine: Mmm. Yeah, the same could be true for me. Maybe if I... wake up early enough I might have have it watch already before I start working out.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah.

Kristine: And that's the last day of tennis for the US s Open.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's the last set. Yeah, yeah. Only one and match left.

Kristine: Yes. It's also a bit sad.

Lifestyle of Longevity: That's a bit sad.

Kristine: Because we have to wait quite a long time. right big of when When does the Australian Open start? What's the exact date? Hmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Sometime in January.

Kristine: Yeah, I think it's always quite soon after. um The new year started, right? Australian.

Kristine: Open 2027. god it's already 2027 starts on the 11th but i'm not sure whether the qualifying

Lifestyle of Longevity: m

Kristine: starts on the other Oh, no, it starts on the 17th. for the main for the main draw. 17th of January

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yep.

Kristine: That's quite a long time. Nope.

Lifestyle of Longevity: um Speaking of which, um I was of course watching the first two NFL games of the season, of which one this year was in Melbourne.

Kristine: Mm hmm.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So they they do some international games. There's also going to be a game in Munich where I was lucky enough to get tickets while I was watching Naomi Osaka at the French Open. I was like, refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh for one and a half hours to get these tickets for another sporting event.

Lifestyle of Longevity: It's mad. Anyway. um the the first ah The season opener was played in, or the second game it was officially, was played in Melbourne. and um they were showing lots of aerial shots, as they do of stadiums, and it's right next to the Australian Open site.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So you could see the dormant. the blue dormant tennis courts and the big stadium there next to it. So it's all together right next to the Melbourne River. It's beautifully laid. I mean, I lived in Melbourne for a while um and I never. At the time, I did i wasn't watching much tennis.

Lifestyle of Longevity: and We weren't there during the time of the the Australian Open, so we wouldn't have. um we wouldn't We didn't miss it, so to say. We we left in December at the time. um but yeah it's it's right by the melbourne river and it was nice to see the pictures during the nfl and already Sense the tennis. Slowly but surely.

Kristine: Preparing for January

Lifestyle of Longevity: dusting itself off and it's right next to this massive massive stadium it's one of the biggest stadiums in the world which is next to it that it's called the msg if it's over a hundred thousand people I think it's the third largest stadium in the world or something it's it's massive and it's built for Australian rules football.

Lifestyle of Longevity: So it's something like rugby, like a sport that doesn't even exist here. There's a stadium for over 100 ,000 people there. and this The field is so big for Australian rules football that they could easily fit a football field like inside. So like.

Lifestyle of Longevity: it's in so It's on the field and then there's grass around it and then there were the people. So yeah, it was mad anyway. But anyway, so the Australian Open.

Kristine: So 100 ,000 people. That's quite a lot because. um Arthur Ashe's biggest tennis court and it fits.

Lifestyle of Longevity: 17, I think. ah

Kristine: 23.

Lifestyle of Longevity: At 23.

Kristine: 1771.

Lifestyle of Longevity: I thought it was 17.

Kristine: People. That's what Google is saying.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yeah, no, it's very big. Yeah, yeah, no, no, 100 ,000 is bananas. I mean... I think Allianz Arena, which is the biggest stadium. No, I think Dortmund has the biggest stadium in Germany with, I think, about 80 ,000.

Lifestyle of Longevity: We're far away.

Kristine: 100 ,000 people. My God, you have to get them all in and out and all of that safely.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Over 100 ,000.

Kristine: My God.

Lifestyle of Longevity: Yes, and it's built for a sport that we don't even... Like that nobody else plays except them down there.

Lifestyle of Longevity: anyway so sporting facility down there if you ever do go to melbourne to see the austria that's what i wanted to to to build and if you do go and see the australian open sometime check out the msg as well see if there's anything going on in there because being in a stadium that size is just

Lifestyle of Longevity: it's just supersonic it's just something something else something else anyway so that was it for now we talked a lot longer about because I didn't want to talk at all because I didn't want to talk I didn't want to talk. um But yes, we will ah yeah be here again tomorrow. recording whenever we're done with watching this match.

Lifestyle of Longevity: And sending you greetings until then. Ciao, ciao and bye.
