Podcast Segment Introduction

00:01:16
Speaker
Welcome to Lightning Round, an adaptation mini podcast.
00:01:19
Speaker
I'm Nate and I am once again flying solo or sort of solo.
00:01:23
Speaker
I don't have my regular co-host with me, but instead I am once again talking to my sister Katie.
00:01:30
Speaker
Hi, Katie.
00:01:31
Speaker
Hi, I'm excited to be back.
00:01:33
Speaker
Thanks so much for rejoining and, and say hello to Millie in the background, your dog, Millie, that might've just made her podcast debut.
00:01:43
Speaker
Yes.
00:01:44
Speaker
She might be back.
00:01:46
Speaker
That's good.
00:01:46
Speaker
That's all right.
00:01:47
Speaker
We don't mind.
00:01:47
Speaker
We don't mind a little Millie.

Katie's Movie Impressions

00:01:49
Speaker
Um, speaking of Millie, oddly enough, I wanted to have you back on to talk about the housemaid because we of course did the pre pre housemaid episode where you told me about kind of why you liked it and
00:02:03
Speaker
how you couldn't tell me anything else about it.
00:02:06
Speaker
And I want to know now that you've seen the movie, I want to know your thoughts.
00:02:12
Speaker
All right.
00:02:13
Speaker
Yeah, so I saw it like three days ago.
00:02:16
Speaker
I saw it the day after it came out.
00:02:18
Speaker
Okay.
00:02:19
Speaker
And I was honestly super happy with it.
00:02:22
Speaker
Really good.
00:02:24
Speaker
I was.
00:02:25
Speaker
I was still nervous going into it.
00:02:27
Speaker
I was excited, but nervous, mostly, honestly, about Sidney Sweeney playing Millie.
00:02:34
Speaker
But I was very satisfied with the whole movie.
00:02:38
Speaker
Really?
00:02:39
Speaker
Good.
00:02:39
Speaker
That makes me really happy.
00:02:41
Speaker
I think they did a really good job kind of following the book and hit all the important stuff.
00:02:49
Speaker
Good.
00:02:50
Speaker
I really enjoyed it.
00:02:51
Speaker
Good.
00:02:52
Speaker
And just to clarify, your dog Millie is not named after the character Millie.
00:02:58
Speaker
No, she is not.
00:02:59
Speaker
Even though the character Millie kind of turns out to be a badass.
00:03:03
Speaker
Yeah, yeah.
00:03:04
Speaker
So you can see now, now that you've seen the movie, why I couldn't tell you anything.
00:03:08
Speaker
Yeah, there's pretty much nothing you could say.
00:03:10
Speaker
There's so many twists and turns throughout it.
00:03:13
Speaker
Yeah.
00:03:15
Speaker
So tell me a little bit about, you said your biggest reservation was the casting of Sydney Sweeney.
00:03:21
Speaker
Did you think she was good in the movie?
00:03:23
Speaker
I did.
00:03:24
Speaker
I think, you know, I was worried that it wasn't just like a dumb blonde role.
00:03:32
Speaker
Like you, especially towards the end, see that Millie becomes this
00:03:37
Speaker
kind of criminal mastermind.
00:03:39
Speaker
And I had a hard time envisioning Sydney Sweeney in that position, but I think she pulled it off super well.
00:03:47
Speaker
I think that there was a little bit more humor thrown in, in the movie than there was in the book.
00:03:54
Speaker
Okay.
00:03:54
Speaker
You good one liners.
00:03:55
Speaker
And maybe that.
00:03:56
Speaker
So funny.
00:03:58
Speaker
Maybe that kind of like broke that barrier with Sydney Sweeney a little bit, made it a little bit more lighthearted in places.
00:04:06
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:06
Speaker
But overall, yeah, I think she was awesome.
00:04:09
Speaker
I really did think that she kind of came alive after, spoiler alert for this episode, by the way, if you haven't read or seen the movie, I don't really know why you're listening.
00:04:20
Speaker
But I think Sydney Sweeney really came alive basically after she got out of the attic bedroom.
00:04:28
Speaker
She was like really funny, really just on top of it.
00:04:32
Speaker
You know, most of the movie, she was sort of just like a...
00:04:36
Speaker
wet blanket in my opinion.
00:04:37
Speaker
So I was really glad to see her kind of crank it up to a 10 after she got out of that situation.
00:04:43
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:44
Speaker
I think there's a lot of buildup to this story.
00:04:47
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:48
Speaker
Oh yeah.
00:04:49
Speaker
You know, like obviously a lot more happened in the second half where you learn a lot more in the second half.
00:04:57
Speaker
And if this movie does well enough to continue the series and make a movie of the next two books, they are not,
00:05:05
Speaker
like that as much.
00:05:07
Speaker
Those ones are just action from beginning to end.
00:05:10
Speaker
Yeah, that makes sense, I guess.
00:05:12
Speaker
So, yeah, I think there was a lot of buildup, but yeah, I still really enjoyed it.

Theater Experience and Audience Reaction

00:05:18
Speaker
Good.
00:05:19
Speaker
I wanted to ask about your theater experience.
00:05:21
Speaker
I had like the best crowd to watch this movie with.
00:05:24
Speaker
I have some funny stories I'll share here in a little bit, but I wanted to ask if your theater was full, if people were cheering or, or like, what was the energy like kind of?
00:05:36
Speaker
Yeah.
00:05:37
Speaker
Well, it was definitely full.
00:05:39
Speaker
Okay.
00:05:40
Speaker
We went to like a matinee on Saturday afternoon and it was packed.
00:05:45
Speaker
Great.
00:05:46
Speaker
And yeah,
00:05:47
Speaker
I mean, there were, even in the movie theater bathrooms, all the women were comparing the book to the movie afterwards.
00:05:55
Speaker
Really?
00:05:55
Speaker
Cool.
00:05:56
Speaker
People were squirming during the torture scenes.
00:06:01
Speaker
Yeah, it was pretty lively in there.
00:06:03
Speaker
It was fun.
00:06:04
Speaker
Yeah, I was there, I went to a press screening, I got to see it just a couple days before it came out.
00:06:11
Speaker
And it was about half press and half, I don't know what the club was, but it was some kind of women's club.
00:06:16
Speaker
And they were like women, they were your age.
00:06:18
Speaker
And it was so fun.
00:06:20
Speaker
know it was like girls night for them and obviously everybody's sort of hyped up on getting to see the movie a few days early so the energy's already sort of up anyway and then i just lost my mind laughing there's a line when millie and andrew sleep together and in the morning he goes i i can't believe somebody looks this good in the morning and the one one girl in the way back at the theater just went
00:06:46
Speaker
Oh, brother.
00:06:47
Speaker
And everybody in the theater was just laughing.
00:06:51
Speaker
It was just, it was funny.
00:06:52
Speaker
And there was a lot of stuff like that where like, you know, there's some, not really jump scares in the movie, but some moments where you're like, oh my God.
00:06:59
Speaker
And, and people were, you know, audibly participating in that.
00:07:04
Speaker
So it was a really good, honestly, one of the better theater experiences I've had of the year, just because the energy was so high and people were excited and it's a fun time.
00:07:13
Speaker
The movie's fun.
00:07:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:07:15
Speaker
Right.
00:07:15
Speaker
Everybody's been super into it.
00:07:17
Speaker
And I think a lot of readers especially have been anticipating this for a while.
00:07:23
Speaker
This has been a big book club book this year, knowing that the movie was coming out.
00:07:28
Speaker
So, yeah, it's been pretty fun.

Box Office and Movie Differences

00:07:31
Speaker
Cool.
00:07:31
Speaker
The budget of the movie was 35 mil, which honestly, super, super cheap these days.
00:07:38
Speaker
And it earned roughly 19 in its opening weekend.
00:07:41
Speaker
So we got really close to making back that production budget.
00:07:45
Speaker
A movie generally needs to make two and a half times its budget or more in order to become profitable because of marketing and distribution costs.
00:07:54
Speaker
Sometimes if there's, this one won't have any awards campaigning associated with it, but that
00:07:59
Speaker
could increase how much money the studio spends on a movie.
00:08:03
Speaker
So hitting 19, that's pretty solid.
00:08:05
Speaker
And I think we've got a four-day weekend coming up here for the Christmas holiday.
00:08:10
Speaker
And of course, there's really tough competition, Avatar and SpongeBob and stuff like that.
00:08:16
Speaker
But I think they're in a pretty solid place for maybe some more movies to happen.
00:08:23
Speaker
Well, that would be awesome.
00:08:25
Speaker
They definitely set up the end of the movie to continue into the second book.
00:08:29
Speaker
Oh yeah.
00:08:30
Speaker
It's a little heavy handed.
00:08:32
Speaker
The end is, you know, like if I didn't know that there were more books, I would be like, Oh, here we go.
00:08:38
Speaker
Another sequel.
00:08:39
Speaker
But knowing that there are actual Frieda McFadden texts that they could be based on, I'm, I'm all for it.
00:08:47
Speaker
And that is actually the epilogue in the book as well.
00:08:51
Speaker
They have that scene as the epilogue and can't start with the differences at the end of the book.
00:08:57
Speaker
Oh, yeah.
00:08:58
Speaker
Yeah, no, I guess not.
00:09:00
Speaker
I do want to ask you about the differences between the book and the movie and get sort of your thoughts on those.
00:09:07
Speaker
Were there any big ones?
00:09:08
Speaker
It sounded like maybe not.
00:09:12
Speaker
The entire premise, storyline, all of that was exactly the same.
00:09:18
Speaker
The biggest differences, the first one I noticed was their ways of torturing each other.
00:09:28
Speaker
In the movie, it is much more violent and gory.
00:09:31
Speaker
Really?
00:09:33
Speaker
Yes.
00:09:33
Speaker
Okay, wow.
00:09:35
Speaker
In the book, there was no grandma's china, or mom's china.
00:09:38
Speaker
Oh, okay.
00:09:39
Speaker
No family heirloom there.
00:09:41
Speaker
So Millie originally got locked in the attic because she left some of his textbooks sitting out.
00:09:48
Speaker
Textbooks?
00:09:50
Speaker
Yes, he had textbooks.
00:09:52
Speaker
There was three big textbooks that she left out on the table, and...
00:09:57
Speaker
His first punishment for her was making her lay on the floor in the attic and stack the three textbooks on her stomach.
00:10:05
Speaker
And she had to lay like that for three hours.
00:10:08
Speaker
Then, so she finally gave in and did it and apparently took the books off a minute early.
00:10:15
Speaker
So he makes her do it again.
00:10:17
Speaker
Okay.
00:10:18
Speaker
So,
00:10:19
Speaker
Whereas in the movie, he made her cut her stomach up.
00:10:23
Speaker
Yeah.
00:10:24
Speaker
Open, basically.
00:10:25
Speaker
Yes.
00:10:27
Speaker
I was squirming at that.
00:10:28
Speaker
I did not see that coming.
00:10:30
Speaker
It was crazy.
00:10:31
Speaker
But I don't think that that's a bad change in the movie.
00:10:35
Speaker
No, I mean, it's psychotic, so it works.
00:10:38
Speaker
Yeah.
00:10:39
Speaker
And probably a little more interesting to watch than having books balanced on your stomach.
00:10:43
Speaker
Right, right.
00:10:44
Speaker
You know.
00:10:45
Speaker
And then the first, when Millie got Andrew locked in the attic, then she kind of just reversed the same torture.
00:10:54
Speaker
It made him put the books on his groin and hold them there.
00:10:57
Speaker
Okay.
00:10:59
Speaker
And then after he did it, she did make him pull out his tooth.
00:11:02
Speaker
That was in the book.
00:11:03
Speaker
Good.
00:11:04
Speaker
People cheered at that.
00:11:06
Speaker
That was hilarious.
00:11:07
Speaker
People were laughing when he smiled, you know?
00:11:11
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:11
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:12
Speaker
Some lady's like, oh, it's too.
00:11:14
Speaker
I know.
00:11:15
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:16
Speaker
It was pretty funny.
00:11:17
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:18
Speaker
So yeah, their ways of torture are a little different.
00:11:21
Speaker
I also believe, well, in the movie, Nina hid that knife in the attic for Millie to attack Andrew with.
00:11:30
Speaker
Yes.
00:11:31
Speaker
In the book, that was pepper spray.
00:11:34
Speaker
Oh, okay.
00:11:35
Speaker
And Millie sprayed him with pepper spray, but it was the same sort of, there's a physical altercation to get him locked in there.
00:11:42
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:42
Speaker
And then the only other really big difference I noticed was how Andrew died.
00:11:47
Speaker
Okay.
00:11:48
Speaker
So in the movie, it was their daughter that convinced Nina to go back for Millie.
00:11:55
Speaker
And then Millie and Nina fought Andrew and he fell over the stairs and died.
00:12:00
Speaker
Right.
00:12:01
Speaker
In the book, it's actually Enzo that convinces Nina to go back for Millie.
00:12:08
Speaker
And...
00:12:09
Speaker
If I'm remembering correctly, it's like four or five days later.
00:12:13
Speaker
So Nina goes back for Millie and finds Andrew starved to death in the attic.
00:12:18
Speaker
Whoa.
00:12:19
Speaker
She left him up there to die.
00:12:21
Speaker
Good for her.
00:12:23
Speaker
And Millie was still there.
00:12:24
Speaker
So there was the same sort of Nina saying, get out of here.
00:12:29
Speaker
I'll take care of it.
00:12:30
Speaker
Yeah.
00:12:32
Speaker
But there was, yeah, there was no fight in the hallways and pushing him over the railing.
00:12:37
Speaker
Oh, interesting.
00:12:38
Speaker
Yes.
00:12:39
Speaker
It's a little bit of like a give and a take because I like the idea of that character suffering for a long time.
00:12:45
Speaker
Right.
00:12:47
Speaker
But it's not super climactic, I guess, or cinematic anyway.
00:12:51
Speaker
Right.
00:12:52
Speaker
And I think that's really why it was changed.
00:12:54
Speaker
It's just not a lot to watch.
00:12:56
Speaker
But when the stuff is in a book, there's so many more details that you can write.
00:13:01
Speaker
You know, so again, I don't think that that was a bad change.
00:13:05
Speaker
Yeah.
00:13:06
Speaker
Okay.
00:13:07
Speaker
So I wanted to ask about Enzo when we first talked about it.
00:13:11
Speaker
It might've been off mic that we talked about it.
00:13:13
Speaker
Now that I'm thinking about it, you were surprised at who they cast because he was so good looking.
00:13:19
Speaker
And that made me, I guess that left me under the impression that he was going to have a bigger
00:13:25
Speaker
role in the movie and he's like barely in it.
00:13:28
Speaker
I kind of kept waiting for him to like knock a door down and, you know, save somebody or something.
00:13:35
Speaker
So tell me a little bit about the differences with Enzo.
00:13:39
Speaker
Yeah.
00:13:41
Speaker
So I do think that he was in the book a little more than the movie in the book.
00:13:47
Speaker
He warned Millie multiple times, kept it very vague.
00:13:52
Speaker
And he did that once or twice in the movie, but
00:13:55
Speaker
Warned her multiple times.
00:13:58
Speaker
In the book, he also, while Nina was scheming this whole plan to bring Millie in to replace her, in the book, Enzo had helped Nina try to escape a couple times.
00:14:12
Speaker
He was really in cahoots with Nina trying to help her.
00:14:15
Speaker
And so that's why then later in the book, he was the one that convinced Nina to go back.
00:14:20
Speaker
To go back.
00:14:21
Speaker
I do kind of like that arc a little bit more.
00:14:24
Speaker
Yes.
00:14:25
Speaker
And, you know, after I saw the movie, I was a little disappointed that he wasn't in it more.
00:14:33
Speaker
But then the more I thought about it, when you're reading the book, he's really probably not in this one that much.
00:14:41
Speaker
It's probably a lot of just warnings or seeing his look out the window and the book describes it quite a bit and things like that.
00:14:50
Speaker
Okay.
00:14:51
Speaker
But I will say...
00:14:53
Speaker
If the movies continue to the second and third, Enzo is no longer a side character.
00:14:58
Speaker
He's going to be bigger.
00:15:00
Speaker
Okay.
00:15:01
Speaker
Well, then I'll have to keep an eye on this guy's career.
00:15:03
Speaker
I don't even know what the actor's name

Character and Performance Analysis

00:15:05
Speaker
is.
00:15:05
Speaker
Because sometimes they cast a movie sort of with like, forecasting in mind, like maybe he's got another big role coming up that's going to turn him into sort of a bigger name.
00:15:16
Speaker
Or something like that.
00:15:17
Speaker
So that'll be interesting for me to just sort of keep on the back burner as these movies hopefully continue.
00:15:24
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:24
Speaker
So like that ending where they kind of set up her interview with another woman.
00:15:31
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:32
Speaker
In the book.
00:15:34
Speaker
And they briefly did mention it in the movie too that Enzo's sister was in a relationship with an abusive man.
00:15:42
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:42
Speaker
They dive a little bit deeper into that in the book.
00:15:45
Speaker
And actually at the end, Enzo and Millie decide to almost form this little group.
00:15:53
Speaker
And that's what they're going to do from now on is go help these women from their abusive husbands.
00:15:58
Speaker
And so they, again, they set up that same ending, but just kind of left Enzo out of that.
00:16:07
Speaker
But they won't be able to leave him out of next season.
00:16:10
Speaker
but yeah he's a huge part of this new deal with Millie so okay interesting yeah it'll be interesting to see what they do maybe they recast I don't know we'll see but um yeah thank you for clarifying that because that was on my mind the whole time I was watching I was just like if Katie had a picture of this guy in her head you know hot or not does is not really what I mean by it but like if you had spent the time to conjure this character then he must be
00:16:37
Speaker
a part of the story.
00:16:38
Speaker
And he barely, he really barely was when he finally had his first like real scene, you know, I think it's like a flashback scene with Nina when she's reading the letter that she wrote her kid.
00:16:49
Speaker
I was like, here we go.
00:16:52
Speaker
And then it cuts away.
00:16:53
Speaker
And I was like, what the hell?
00:16:54
Speaker
Where is this guy?
00:16:57
Speaker
Well, and actually one thing I did love about the movie too, is how she did do that like letter to her kid.
00:17:05
Speaker
I don't,
00:17:05
Speaker
fully understand why it was a letter to her kid because it seemed like her kid knew what was going on.
00:17:11
Speaker
But I think why they did it is because the book is split into two parts and the first half is like Millie's point of view and the second half is Nina's where she explains what's actually happening.
00:17:24
Speaker
And in the book she goes through, you know, step one, make him hate you.
00:17:29
Speaker
Step two, find a replacement, whatever, whatever, you know.
00:17:33
Speaker
So that was kind of their way of
00:17:35
Speaker
I think, doing her point of view from the book, which is cool.
00:17:39
Speaker
Yeah.
00:17:40
Speaker
I'm glad you said that because I meant to ask Chris how they handle that perspective shift in the book and forgot because it is sort of like the movie comes to a screeching halt and then all of a sudden Amanda Seyfried's the lead, you know, for an act and then they come together and it's sort of a two-hander at the end there.
00:17:59
Speaker
And that scene with
00:18:01
Speaker
her just screaming in the car when she thought we got out just gave me chills and the screaming and crying turns into laughing and back into crying and she's such a good actress i just yeah she's amazing yeah she really is
00:18:15
Speaker
Yeah.
00:18:16
Speaker
And I thought, yeah, she balanced all of those like mood swings so well, you know, I thought it was like completely believable and you're not sure if she's experiencing acute psychosis or not.
00:18:29
Speaker
She really just blew me away for sort of a, you know, a schmaltzy like popcorn movie.
00:18:34
Speaker
I was like, man, she just really is full throttle in everything she does.
00:18:38
Speaker
Right.
00:18:40
Speaker
Did you see it coming at all that Andrew was the crazy one?
00:18:44
Speaker
I figured that it had to have something to do with him because I knew it was a psych thriller, right?
00:18:51
Speaker
And the cast is really small.
00:18:53
Speaker
It's really just those three characters for the most part.
00:18:56
Speaker
So I was like, one of these people has to actually do something
00:19:01
Speaker
psychotic here, you know, or it would not be a psychological thriller.
00:19:07
Speaker
And, you know, it's usually not the lead, right?
00:19:11
Speaker
In these kinds of stories.
00:19:14
Speaker
So I wouldn't say I saw it coming, but maybe I wasn't surprised when it turned out to be him, you know?
00:19:20
Speaker
Sure.
00:19:20
Speaker
Does that make sense?
00:19:21
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:22
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:23
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:24
Speaker
But I really, I really enjoyed it.
00:19:26
Speaker
It was really good.
00:19:28
Speaker
The only other thing with Enzo...
00:19:31
Speaker
See, I think that they talked about him a lot when Nina was talking about her history with Andrew and her trying to escape.
00:19:39
Speaker
And Enzo had helped her set up a safety deposit box at one point.
00:19:45
Speaker
And when Nina finally got out in the book and Millie was left behind with him, Enzo and Nina spent the night together.
00:19:54
Speaker
Oh.
00:19:58
Speaker
Okay.
00:19:58
Speaker
That's a bit of a curveball.
00:20:00
Speaker
And it...
00:20:01
Speaker
still kind of is that's like the one part of the book that kind of gets me like i yeah like yeah they had kind of contributes they had been like working together and he's taking care of her and they're all emotional but i'm like just because you got her you got her out into a hotel room does you guys have to sleep together i know it's it's almost a little bit like uh
00:20:29
Speaker
anti-feminist that the guy doesn't just do it, you know, and then like go on to keep being a good dude, but he's like rewarded with sex.
00:20:38
Speaker
And then he does for the rest of the series.
00:20:40
Speaker
He's a great dude.
00:20:43
Speaker
And I, yeah, I kind of forgot about that scene, honestly, until I was thinking more about how Enzo wasn't in the movie as much.
00:20:52
Speaker
Yeah.
00:20:53
Speaker
And that is kind of odd.
00:20:56
Speaker
I don't,
00:20:56
Speaker
Yeah.
00:20:57
Speaker
I'm failing to see how that really even fits into the characters motivations or, or character arcs or anything like that.
00:21:04
Speaker
But I guess, I don't know, maybe, maybe Frida needed to write a sex scene that was not actually basically rape, you know?
00:21:13
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:14
Speaker
That's fair.
00:21:15
Speaker
I wouldn't blame her for that.
00:21:18
Speaker
Well, good.
00:21:18
Speaker
I'm so glad that you

Final Thoughts and Ratings

00:21:20
Speaker
enjoyed it.
00:21:20
Speaker
If you were to rate it,
00:21:22
Speaker
If you had a letterboxd, which means that you can rate it out of five by the half star.
00:21:28
Speaker
And if you want, you can also give it a heart in addition to your rating.
00:21:34
Speaker
And that means whatever you want it to mean.
00:21:36
Speaker
What would you rate this movie?
00:21:42
Speaker
Oh, man.
00:21:43
Speaker
I think I'd probably give it four, four and a half.
00:21:50
Speaker
Whoa, four and a half.
00:21:52
Speaker
I know.
00:21:53
Speaker
I really liked it.
00:21:54
Speaker
Especially, I feel like 90% of the time, just being the reader that I am, I'm usually let down by the movies.
00:22:02
Speaker
Not because it's a bad movie, just because the book has so much that you can't put all of that in the movie.
00:22:09
Speaker
But I was very pleasantly surprised with this one.
00:22:13
Speaker
I really enjoyed it.
00:22:14
Speaker
I thought it was great.
00:22:16
Speaker
Good.
00:22:16
Speaker
That makes me really happy that you liked it so much.
00:22:18
Speaker
I know how nervous you were and
00:22:21
Speaker
and I knew how bummed you were going to be.
00:22:22
Speaker
All you did, all you texted me on Saturday was, can't wait to talk to you about this movie, period.
00:22:27
Speaker
I was like, oh no, she hated it.
00:22:31
Speaker
No, I like walked out and I was like, well, shit, I can't call Nate and talk to him about this because we got to do it in the pod.
00:22:38
Speaker
And I was pretty pumped to talk to you about it.
00:22:42
Speaker
I was hoping you enjoyed it too.
00:22:44
Speaker
Yes, I really did.
00:22:46
Speaker
I think it might do really well.
00:22:47
Speaker
There's not a lot of like,
00:22:49
Speaker
I hate to reduce it to this, but there's not a lot of like girl movies in theaters for the Christmas weekend.
00:22:56
Speaker
So, you know, it's like I said, it's Avatar, SpongeBob.
00:23:00
Speaker
There's a religious movie that's doing really well.
00:23:03
Speaker
Anaconda, Marty Supreme, all a bunch of stuff that like, I think is really going to appeal to men.
00:23:08
Speaker
So yeah.
00:23:08
Speaker
I think there's a really solid chance that this movie fares pretty well over Christmas.
00:23:12
Speaker
And I just, I hope, especially with those cheap production budgets, 35 mil is a really cheap movie.
00:23:19
Speaker
I'd love to see.
00:23:21
Speaker
There's three of them, right?
00:23:22
Speaker
I'd love to see all three of them.
00:23:24
Speaker
Yes.
00:23:24
Speaker
It's the housemaid and the housemaid's secret.
00:23:28
Speaker
And then the housemaid is watching.
00:23:30
Speaker
Oh,
