Speaker: Well, welcome to this very, very overdue episode of, uh, walking free. And, uh, this is Vernon Terrell and you might be asking, where have you been? Our last episode was, uh, before Christmas and, uh, it's been radio silence and that was unintentional, but, uh,
Speaker: It was just one of those things where life got crazy. Running a ministry got crazy. It's, well, I can't use that term. It got challenging. We have so many things going on and I just honestly got behind and just had so many things just
Speaker: going on that this took a back seat. And what I'm working on now is getting it back on the forefront. So first of all, thanks, Sue. I know you're listening and you're right. It has been, it has been a while and Sue, I know you were sick and
Speaker: I'm praying for you when I got your email. And we are jumping back for this year into our podcast. I'm gonna wrap up. Actually, I started a three -part series. And I started with looking in the mirror and everything you need. I'm gonna wrap it up. And not on this episode, I'm gonna flip and do another episode that's gonna come shortly after this. But this is more of where have you been?
Speaker: Well, that's what's been going on. We've got an incredible.
Speaker: You know, when we launched our free Life Untangled app, which you can download on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, that we had just a really great reception on that folks download. And it's when you register with your email through the app, you get all of our various free resources right there in the app.
Speaker: And the podcast is in the app as well. But that has taken a lot of time and effort. And I'm just so excited about that. We've got so much planned. We had our director summit in with my leadership team here.
Speaker: and we brought them here in Atlanta and went off to a cabin and we all got together and said, what does 2024 look like? And we have some exciting things planned for Grace Ministries, for Life Untangled, and for the podcast as well.
Speaker: So stay tuned for more. We've got hopefully some fun guests that I think you'll enjoy hearing from. As well as yours truly, my wife Michelle as well. I am doing my best to get some of my leadership team on this podcast. And that's harder than you'd think.
Speaker: We're not a command and control type of ministry, right? We're gracious ministries, so it's optional. But these ladies just are so wise, and our focus actually has been
Speaker: Learning ourself and getting our leadership team and our counselors Trauma certified through we're partnering with the Christian Healing Network Beth broom incredible lady incredible ministry they have
Speaker: trauma level certification, and most of us just finished their level one. Level two's coming in July. So we're trying to learn more and more and be better equipped so we can help you and help others in their journey to walk free. And some of that is hindered by trauma. And we wanna be better equipped. So we're all learning and growing
Speaker: and we wanna share that and share many more insights to help you in your journey. So just a quick, this is just a quick, hello, I'm alive, we're alive, a lot is happening. In fact, I am, just on a personal note, I'm heading to Florida,
Speaker: And I will be meeting, my anniversary with Michelle is gonna be in March. That'll be two years married. I have never met her parents live in person. A lot of FaceTime.
Speaker: and we've done FaceTime, phone calls, but never in person. Well, guess what? They're heading to Florida, and Florida's just one state over from where I am, so we're gonna head down there and spend some time with her parents, her uncle, a cousin, they're all coming down, and so that's gonna be fun, nervous, but fun, so you can,
Speaker: pray for that adventure. We're still gonna be working. This is gonna be a working time, but we wanna make sure we have some time to meet and to bond and really to get to know each other better. So that's what's happening for me, and I'm grateful that my
Speaker: Brother -in -law is hanging out here with my son. As you know, I have an autistic son, and so he's gonna be hanging out with John and helping him get his program, so that's a blessing from the Lord.
