Big, big energy there from Leo and big podcast energy tonight, folks. This is week 10 of the League of Hard Knocks and episode 10 of the Stone by Cornbread podcast. I am your co-host, James Hicks. We've got an exciting show for you tonight. We've got a little week that was including a big matchup from the co-hosts.

Rivalry and Recent Matchup Discussion

We've got a quick standings update and a buy sell hold to stay on theme with the Wolf of Wall Street. Let's dive in boys.

Week 10 is here. It is episode 10 of Stoned by Cornbread. I'm Blake, the other co-host, and we are going to jump right in. It's the day after a presidential election, which we'll let Andrew and Bami take politics. Stoned by Cornbread is going to keep it focused on the more important events in life, which what is more important, James, than a a rivalry match that is not a traditional rivalry in the League of Hard Knocks, but Week 9 produced a match between myself and and yourself.

Week 9 Recap and Playoff Implications

And yeah, it didn't it didn't go great for me. It was not your week, Blake. And I am beginning to love this budding rivalry that we have. I don't know if it's because I see your face weekly and maybe I'm getting tired of you or what's going on. But beating you right after your big parade about points for felt so good, especially in the manner that I did. It was an excellent week for the smooth moves. Yeah. So you mentioned that food did not taste well. um I have been under the weather. So I guess my lack of smell combined with losing, food has never tasted worse than my dinner on Sunday night. A quick recap of of week nine that was, we already talked about the matchup. You took me down 144 to 105. A little bit of a route there. Bomb squad with the Monday night comeback against the Rhino. 107-101. Pat Mahomes on a bum ankle. 25 points. Outscores Bo Nix. The Rhino falls to 5-4 and the Rhino falls out of playoff position. More to come there. Larry rolls over the chef. 134-100. High-scoring week across the board. Larry, 7-2, sole possession of first place. You're behind him in point four. Only reason you're sitting in second. The Hillbillies lose again. That's that's two in a row for the Billies, preserved by Pilot. The Bandwagoner comes from behind. A little bit unexpected, but he's back. And

he's back in the playoff position, a very familiar position, maybe setting himself up for another second-place finish. And finally, after having him on the show as a featured guest and a featured sponsor, shout out to Ryan Construction for their sponsorship. But last week's episode was was all about River Ridge CPA, and they come out with a win 87-63 over the Amish, who fall to 1-8. Wow. A lot to unpack here, James, but let's dive back into our matchup because, well, it's probably the most contentious subject. I'm going to die on my hill of points for, I'm still the number two scoring team in the league. I'm one of only two teams that has crossed a thousand points so far this year. yet I find myself in a tough position, four and five and sixth place. Yeah, I think there is reasons to buy stock, which we may get into later on you. I would preach caution on that financial advice, seeing you've already potentially peaked this year, but we'll see. You are putting together a lot of good weeks, and essentially what this came down to is I got one of those once or twice a year weeks where even your defense is going off. And what it came down to for you was Waddle is in a bad spot despite the Dolphins offense looking better just a horrific end to that game for him and really right now my flex position came down to two guys who both went off and I still chose the best guy I feel good about my squad right now they're healthy and I still don't think they're playing their best football yet. So you kind of ran into a buzzsaw, Blake. Yeah. Yeah. I've run into a lot of buzzsaws this year. I will, I will say this and, and this is one thing that, that AJ got wrong. He didn't get a lot of things wrong. He was right about a lot of things last week. Jaden Daniels still came out and played really well and he did not knock on wood tears ACL. ah A-chain, Chane, I'm still trying to figure out how to say his name. Touchdown maker. pretty much wide receiver one and RB one for the Dolphins. I mean, unbelievable performance. 24 points. ah And then I got ah got boned by Chase Brown. I didn't even know who Chase Brown was. Chase Brown chase brown decides to go for 22 against me. And yeah, Harbaugh's defense. Well, I mean, I guess you I should have known. Starting against the Browns. I thought the Browns had it together. I thought famous Jameis. You know, the crab leg guy was going to lead the Browns back to glory. High character guys at QB for the Browns. I can say that. Yeah, he is a high character guy. Loved his pregame speech. I love every time he gets behind the mic, but like I really can't believe that no one else saw it like I did. Can you name a time Jim Harbaugh's had a bad defense? No. I got a little bit lucky there because they were just laying on the waivers, but I looked at their schedule and at Harbaugh's track record, I mean, they might not go on one of these Cowboys like pick six, fumble returns, special teams runs, but they're solid, man. oh yeah I kind of like the Chargers. They haven't given up more than 20 points the whole year to any team. They gave up 10 last week. um The most points they've given up all year, even then, was against the Steelers, which is a little bit weird. They only gave up 17 points to the Chiefs, so only 17 points to the Cardinals who find themselves in first place. But I mean, it's a good defense. It's a good defense. And if they can stay healthy, the Chargers could sneak into the playoffs. So yeah, interesting interesting times for our matchup. I was i was left in in a position where i'm I'm trying to reflect and say, okay, this is what it feels like to be a champion. This is getting everyone's best shot. I've gotten everyone's best shot this year. Besides maybe the Coug, not only do I have the second most points for, I have the second most points against. And it feels kind of good. You know, if I'm if i'm going to take the bright side of things, i I just, I feel like a defending champ. Every week I know that it's that team's Super Bowl. Did you feel the pressure of playing the defending champ this week? It hadn't crossed my mind much this season that you are the champ. You've been a little bit quiet about it, which is kind of surprising to me. I thought the theatrics from the winter meetings would continue into the year. And I thought you may, you know, even though we're not offering video to our audience yet, I thought the ah the jacket would make a few appearances on the pod. Yeah. I think mike my team is just, ah they're getting up to play the Marshcats this year. Maybe it's the podcast, like I mentioned before. I know that you're dialed in. And when I see another guy in the league that's dialed into his roster, I get up for those games. And I can't say that about everyone in the league. Yeah. Well, I mean, I think that's a theme and that's a theme that i'm I'm seeing across the board. You can't disappear just because you're having a down year and you can't disappear just because you're the norm. It's not what this league is about. Rob, I know you're, I know you're going through it, man. I know you're going through it.

We need to hear some, some rumbling Rob from the basement. We miss him. We miss Rob. Rhino, where you at? Where you at? Your team has slipped out of playoff position. Jake? Wait, actually, weren't we going to have Jake on on the show tonight? Is he still coming on? Yes. This just in. Hold on. Big J reporting live from the scene on episode 10 of Stoned by Cornbread. We received word earlier today from our potential guest that he was unable to make an appearance on the pod. Listed a very ah good reason for missing a a hinge date, he said. And we wished him well on his adventure tonight. And we're pro Jake getting laid. As every member in the league, we're pro them getting laid as well. So hoping that works out for him and hope to have him on next week. He's not a ah big supporter of the pod, but can't wait to share that interview with you guys. And on this topic, that's all that I have to break tonight for Big J. Well, yeah, the pod the pod is pro-sex. i just wanted to wanted to reiterate that a totsky and thank you, though. To success in this racket is this little baby right I just here. It's called cocaine. It will keep you sharp between the ears. It'll also help your fingers die out faster. And guess what? Okay. McConaughey getting into the zone there. I think, Blake, we need to get into the zone because we are going to be talking financial buy, sell, and holds of all of the League of Hard Knocks franchises tonight. This is one of my favorite segments ever back from the yeah Commissioner's Couch segment that I used to do. And I would love to...
00:12:31
Speaker
don't know it gets me going sometimes jobs I'll do that in the morning. And just like McConaughey says, those are rookie numbers. You got to pump those numbers up. I would i would call out Rob on points for. Those are rookie numbers, Rob. Which brings up a good point. You know, ah McConaughey talks about how he relieves stress in that scene um from Wolf of Wall Street, a famous scene ah with Leonardo DiCaprio in the restaurant. You know, Jake, we're still hoping he can relieve some stress tonight. um But if you're listening, Jake, you got to got to pump those numbers up. Those are those are rookie numbers with the hinge dates. Yeah, we need more of them. Where do you think Jake went tonight? He's been frequenting a spot called the Kennedy. Seems very high end, like a classy woman would go there. Kennedy, wow. um There's a whole restaurant scene in Knoxville you haven't explored yet. It's getting better, Blake. So UJ's is off the table. That's not that's not a great Hinge spot. That sounds like more of a tender date. Hinge is a little more upscale, I believe. Soccer Taco on the hill? Can't go wrong there. I feel like you know right off the bat. It doesn't feel like a Jake spot. they don't But you know right off the bat, if she orders a margarita, then like you know right off the bat. like okay like Things are going great. But you take her to Soccer Taco and she orders like an ice water with lemon. Like, oh. Alright, well Well, yeah, I think I'll just like grab some enchiladas to go. yeah See, now you're thinking like Dennis, which is great. ah for hell do I never was on the apps. How else do you think on the apps? This is great. it's It kind of is a character that you don't always know that you're playing. You've always been Dennis Blake. on On the subject of the date, before we get into buy, sell, hold, when when Jake did turn us down tonight, it got me thinking ah worst first date stories or like, what's what's the worst, worst thing you can order on a first date as an entree? You've been out of the dating world for a little while, as have I. I mean, I've definitely had some some poor dates. That's for sure. I think one that comes to mind immediately was back in college. my Probably my freshman year, maybe my sophomore year. I went to a party and I ended up with someone else's date. And I had too much Evan Williams green label. Anyways, we eventually left the party together, me and my my friend Dane's date. Dane did not accompany us and got back to one of my friend's houses. We continued to drink more Green Label and moved to the couch with Dane's date. And I'm going to keep her name you know private for for this reason. But let's just say she she got a little bit sick and yacked. And then upon seeing her yak, I got sick and smelled it. And I

00:15:50
Speaker
yak'd and I might've yak'd a little bit on her. And we were just sitting there on the couch and we both just thrown up and things didn't really progress from there. I don't, I don't have a bad one that that's what could could have been? in time Yeah, the wrong bodily fluids came out. Yeah, what could have been? I don't have any specific awful first date stories, but I did go on a ton of first dates living in Los Angeles on the apps. And I took them all to the same place because in my mind, I was trying to create this level playing field. But in hindsight, probably a bad idea. um And then I do remember... Well, because the people at the restaurant probably like saw you every week with different different people. Right. just You ever thought about what what they thought? He's back again? Did you have a spreadsheet? We also went there to drink after playing golf all the time. So i my face was becoming too familiar. But it was a great spot right on the famous Ventura Boulevard. Anyways, this one girl, I'm like sitting down and we're having drinks. And about 30 minutes in, she goes, do you realize you have checked out every single girl that's walked past this table? oh And that was tough to receive. But, you know, I did kind of have a wandering eye back then. And there's a lot of beautiful women in Los Angeles. But yeah, that one didn't work out. No vomiting. You should have just asked her if she wanted someone with low T instead. Someone by cornbread, not low T for what it's worth. Yeah. We are high T and pro-sex and we got a little derailed there, but let's start going into buy, sell, hold. And for our listeners who are not familiar with this segment, we are not saying that we like or dislike this team. These are all stocks and some are doing really well right now and it's time to to get out. And some are maybe below penny stocks right now that may offer some value. So let's preface the segment with that. Shall we start at the top or the bottom, Blake? I'll take first pick here. Let's start at the top. Okay. So Larry, our first subject of the night, crushing it right now. Some would say he's

Buy, Sell, Hold Analysis

00:18:20
Speaker
peaking. Some would say he's peaking too early, but the points for don't lie, most in the league. He doesn't have a ton of points against. He's kind of middle of the pack there. But we've seen Larry get hot before. The problem is he's never gotten hot at the right time unless you count avoiding shame. So we're familiar with Larry's game that's going on right now, but we've seen it traditionally peak way earlier in the season. It's still going on now. And I see Larry kind of like Apple or Amazon. I think he's only going up from here. I'm buying. What do you say, Blake? I think i think there is there's two approaches here. I'm going with a hold. I'm not going to buy more Larry stock, but I'm definitely not selling Larry stock. As long as Lamar and Saquon are healthy, to me, that's the best starting quarterback, starting running back combo in our league. And the fact that he can toss in a little Jameer Gibbs, toss in a little bit of J.K. Dobbins. And let's face it, Larry embracing the white slot receiver of Vlad McConkie in his starting lineup. I love that. I love that. I feel like maybe that's a piece that Larry has been missing for a long time. It's just that trusty white slot receiver. But I'm still a hold. The only reason I'm not buying more of Larry's stock is how many how many titles does does our friend Larry have again? I'm not even sure how many playoff appearances. Right. So postseason tested, not postseason tested. Larry, to me, screams dolphins in the snow. I'm going to hold. Okay. Sounds wise. There's a lot of wisdom there. All right, Blake, you you got next pick. Oh, let's just go. Let's go down. there Let's go down the ladder here. Okay. Yeah. The smooth moves. I'll tell you what, James, I am selling. I'm selling hard on your team. There's a couple of reasons and I'll highlight them. Number one, I'm concerned about I'm concerned about your reliance on i have to have to say i'm concerned about your reliance on guys that have not proven to be workhorses. I know that you're you're you're playing well right now. You just came off an absolute monstrous performance, but I still feel like you're caught between two minds with Jaden Daniels and Kyler Murray. Maybe you stick with Jaden. Achane, I don't know if he's going to keep this up going into the playoffs or even going into the end of the regular season. Neighbors, I'm concerned just playing on a bad team. I think they play in Europe. I feel like wide receivers always play terrible in Europe. I don't know if Daniel Jones is going to be able to keep up the volume to neighbors. Cooper Cup coming back into the fold. I don't feel like he's that guy in LA anymore. I even heard that the Rams were floating a trade ah for Cooper Cup around the deadline. He did not get moved. And and Chase Brown on a Thursday night this week, but even moving forward, I don't actually love the Bengals this year. And and Chase Brown, I just don't see him holding onto that spot. I believe the Bengals also traded for another running back at the deadline. I believe Herbert moved to the Bengals. So it'll be interesting to see that ends up being a split backfield. I'm selling. I'm selling. Don't see you holding up. A lot of good reasons there. You know, everything in me is wanting to
00:22:19
Speaker
buy this stock right now there are so many reasons to think it can continue but just like when you have an absolute heater gambling over the weekend it doesn't mean that you double your bet size next weekend you stick to the plan that got you there
00:22:42

investors to hold this stock. If I look at the immediate future, I think I've got some tough matchups this week. People who open the fantasy app a lot like myself get tuned into that stuff, and you can sometimes forecast when the good and bad weeks are going to be. You mentioned my points for a lot. So a lot of that had to do with my best guys being injured early in the season, yet I'm sitting at seven and two. So now my team is incredibly healthy. You can try. I saw your wheels turning to find negatives, but my bench is even looking good right now. If Hopkins continues to get on the field more, which he's probably playing about half the snaps right now, I mean, I got pieces all over the board that I can move. This is the most balanced team that I've had. Even going back to my championship squads, there were just some guys I was over-reliant on, but I'm getting a little bit of action from everybody, but I'm still holding the stock. I think my team is going to peak a little bit later. Okay. That's fair. That's fair. Very fair. Let's move on down here. On to the West Hillbillies preserved by Pilot. They're sitting at third in the standings. Let's see what ESPN says. An 82% chance of making the playoffs. Points for, they look strong. Points against, they have not had a ton. So let's dive into his actual team here. There's no way I would ever tell you to buy this stock because when I look at them, I see cues all over the place. You don't want to see that. You mentioned not loving the Bengals this year. Something weird is going on there. There's probably some weird locker room energy. And yes, Joey B had a nice week last week. Still didn't get Will in the winning column. And I just, Drake London, did he get a concussion? What happened to him last week? It was a hip pointer. Okay. Yeah. That

00:25:00

was a weird one. I thought it was a neck when I first saw it. Yeah. Well, no, his celebration, he decided after he got his hip pointer, he decided that he was going to do this little funny celebration where he leaned forward and he put all of his weight on his neck and then rolled over. I saw two players do it this week. I think it's a new celebration. Interesting. That was a weird game. That was a weird game. CeeDee Lamb got hurt. Dak Prescott got hurt. It seemed cursed. Yeah, not great. I'm selling the Billies right now. I see this losing streak continuing. He's got really good pieces on his bench. Ray Davis looks better than James Cook right now. He tore it up at Kentucky as much as I hate those losers. And I'm curious when or if Kelsey is ever going to make it back into the starting lineup for him. He just kind of like dangles him down there. Kelsey's had two good weeks in a row now. He typically plays better later in the year. I don't know if we'll trust him or not. This doesn't scream juggernaut to me. I understand how balanced he is, but there's no way I would ever advise anyone to buy this stock. And I see the losing streak continuing. This is a big sell. Yeah, I'm sell all the way on the Billies. Main reason is he does not have an elite player at any position. He doesn't have a game changer, even a top three guy. And he has a lot of players on losing teams. Chuba Hubbard, how long is that going to last? The Panthers are horrific this year. The Panthers are the joke of the NFC South. They're 2-7 along with the Saints. And we talked about the Bengals riding on Joey B. I mean, the Bengals are in trouble. They're 4-5. They're 1-4 at home. And they're in the same division as the Steelers at 6-2 and the Ravens at 6-3. I see no chance for the Bengals to make the playoffs. And I feel like that frustration from Joey B is going to result in a lot of forced throws and a lot of picks. Same with Jonathan Taylor on the Colts, deciding to roll with Flacco for the rest of the year in the same division as the Texans. I can't see that playing out well for them. Who knows when they just decide to shut Jonathan Taylor down. They're definitely not building for the long term playing Flacco. So maybe they do stick with Taylor, but I just hate having players on losing teams going into the latter half of the season. If they're not playing competitive games, it's always a dangerous, dangerous thing. Selling the billies. Okay, so we're moving on to the Wagoner. Wagoner. How would you advise your clients here? Oh, Wagoner. I think the Wagoner is a hold. The reason the Wagoner is a hold is because he hasn't figured out quarterback. And it's the most important position on the field. But Andrew's best player right now is his kicker, which is hilarious for Rob, if you're listening. But Tucker's his anchor. And then it's like, okay, what are you doing? Is it Baker? Is it Rodgers? I think right now he's got Rodgers in there. Aaron's past it, man. I mean, love him or hate him. Aaron Rodgers is a polarizing figure as well. Kind of like, you know, Andrew late night on the group chat, polarizing figure. I tend to love Miller Ty Morton. He gets under some people's skin. I think you could say the same about Aaron Rodgers always popping up on the Pat McAfee show. I will say this. Kamara, perfect example. I would say that's a risk. The Saints are a dumpster fire. Just fired their coach. Are they going to keep giving Kamara 20, 30 carries a game when the season's lost? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if it's worth it. Kareem Hunt, we know who's coming back. Pacheco's coming back. Montgomery's still in a split backfield. I know we didn't talk a lot about my trade with Andrew, but that was my thinking behind it is that Brees Hall is the clear bell cow for the Jets. And I don't see Hunt staying the RB1 and I don't see Montgomery as an RB1. So I traded him two, in my opinion, split backfield guys for a 25-30 carry a game guy. Devontae Adams showed some promise. It's been a while since the Jets played because they played on Halloween night. We haven't seen them in a while. Yeah, Andrew's tough. I'm curious your take on Andrew's team because he is on a little bit of a streak. He has gotten himself into a playoff position. Don't want to discount Mr. No. 2. Yeah. I don't know. You hit the nail on the head and took away a lot of my points. You were talking like a financial advisor telling his client to sell. I want to make my clients money. I want to make my clients money. I want them to know what they're holding. This is the easiest sell on the board for me. This is a house of cards. You took a lot of the reasons right out of my mouth there, talking about a split backfield and Pacheco coming back. The Saints are a dumpster fire. I was shocked that Kamara did not get traded. Maybe, didn't he just sign a new contract or something? Maybe that's why. And yeah, Devontae looks like he's got a little pep back in his step, and that is a good stack, but it's a very limited one with Rodgers. It's not going to feel like the old days, but that's all that Andrew remembers happening to him. So he's just kind of in his emotional fantasy football self there. And it just very simply does not look like a team that's on a three-game winning streak. And a team that covers the spread three weeks in a row, guess what I'm doing next week? I'm fading the gum out of them. And yes, Andrew has the pedigree to score a lot of points and perform well and end up in the playoffs. But this does not look like one of those teams to me. It looks a little bit scrappier, and I don't see the end of the season going well for Andrew, as it never does, but especially as this roster is constructed. So that's easy, easy sell for me. Yeah, he's got the number two QB on the bench. I'll short the stock. Short the stock. I'm shorting the stock. Wow. I am not just selling. Shorting the stock. All right. And it just so happens you match up against the bandwagoner this week. I think that's an interesting nugget there. Maybe a little salt, a little Morton salt entering the weekend. Let's talk about our Norm. Norm, bitch. Rhino, I know you're listening. I feel like Rhino is definitely a weekly listener that we'd never hear from, but I know you're listening, Rhino. James, how are you feeling about the rhinoceros here? He's on a little bit of a skid. He was on quite the heater. And now he has found himself sitting one spot outside the playoffs. And honestly, I mean, one game losing streak. Okay. Two game losing streak. And then you look at his points four and you realize that Rhino belongs nowhere near the playoffs right now. He hasn't even cracked 900 yet. What are you doing with the Rhino stock? This is a very clear hold for me. Rhino looks like he is in flex hell with this lineup, seeing that he just picked up Andre Iosivas to start this week, who's projected for 5.2. That feels very un-Rhino-like. I think cooler heads would have prevailed and maybe throw Mark Andrews in there and use that roster spot for somebody else. But the reason that I'm holding is Josh Jacobs looks great. He

is on a buy this week, so I could see a small dip, but I'm going to tell my investors not to panic when they see that dip and just continue to hold because I do see it going back up. Brian Thomas, I love the wide receiver room, at least in these first two spots for Rhino. On-Raw, he feels like he's having a negative touchdown regression opposed to some other years where he was going off. Never mind. He scored in six straight weeks. I clearly don't know my stuff or I've been a poor red zone watcher, but he's still got Kyron. I'm assuming he's got to be, yeah, he's top five in the league right now. He's another touchdown machine. I could see the Rhino lose this week, but we're holding there. Yeah, I'm going to buy the Rhino. I know I kind of gave an interesting intro to Rhino, but I'm going to buy the Rhino. The reason I'm buying the Rhino is he's got two postseason proven players that helped me get to a championship last year. Shout out to my boy Kyron and shout out to my boy, Sun God, Amon Ross St. Brown. Without those two fine gentlemen, I would be nowhere near Sidney Andrew to another runner-up finish. And I wouldn't get to look at the trophy every night as I sit on my couch and gaze into its crystal cup-ness. It's not really crystal. The mirrored cup. It's just nice to look at myself in the mirrored cup every night. Here's why I'm buying the Rhino as well. Two words, Russell Wilson. I think that energy is what Rhino has been missing. Inserting Russell Wilson into his lineup and getting just a cheesy motivator to really rally the squad. I think it's the X factor. Russell Wilson is about to come into his own. He's facing off against Jaden Daniels this week at Washington. I believe Washington just traded for a top corner and Lattimore pulled him from the Saints. Russell's coming out with something to prove. I'm guessing they're going to throw Lattimore right off the bat up against Pickens. And I think Pickens is just a chip on his shoulder type receiver. And I think Russell's going to give him like 20 targets this game. I think Russell goes off and propels the Steelers into a playoff surge. And I think that division is a division to watch. I know I'm actually talking a lot of NFL outside of fantasy, but the Ravens and the Steelers in the same division is a fun one this year. I love the Tomlin versus Harbaugh, Lamar versus Russell Wilson. It could get spicy. I like the Rhino. I like his quarterback. I think he's finally figured it out. He moved on from Bo Nix and Dak Prescott. Yeah, I was just looking at Russell Wilson. He is on League of Hard Knocks legend status. I didn't realize he's been in the league since 2012.
00:36:25

um That's a long time. It's fun to watch these guys' careers, but he's had so many different arcs to his career. I remember it felt like he was always on Balmy's team when he was in his running days, and there weren't a lot of those quarterbacks around. you know had the Had the Super Bowl, and then I thought he was done. He actually hustling Russell, uh, led me to my last norm, but now he's on this redemptive arc. It's, it's kind of wild. And I do love the Steelers. There's something about them. Yeah. I think Tomlin, Tomlin coaching him, the black and gold. Shades of Wiz Khalifa. ah Yeah. I ah love the Steelers. i just i get I get chills when I see the towels waving. not Not a Pittsburgh guy by any means. but Yeah, okay. We got to keep it moving here. Who's up next, James? ah We've got the Marsh Cats. Interesting. Do you want to go first? Do you want me to go? i think I think for more of an unbiased take, I'll go first. I'm i'm holding my team. As a holder of the team, I don't even know if I should recuse myself from this conversation, but I think my my numbers speak for themselves, but I also realize the very precarious position that I find myself in, which was one more loss and and I could find myself in shame-off territory. Despite my boasting of points for, it doesn't mean shit. I am losing games. And I've lost a lot of games this year already. And I can't lose another one. but you're you're I mean, yeah we've we talked about it a little bit. This is that point in the season that if you if you hit the six loss mark, you are in dangerous territory. It's do or die for me this week. I'm holding, but I would be a cautious holder. You can make an argument to sell. Yeah, this has a tech startup energy written all over it. Extremely volatile stock here. um I would never advise a client to buy a stock that is not performing well, but they're reporting good earnings. It it feels fraudish, maybe, but I think more like we've already seen the best of the Marshcats. I really, really want to sell, but I have to agree on on holding this stock. Now with Dak out for the next little bit, CD is a major concern. I do think he can produce some 8 to 15 point games, but I think the 20 and above might be out for the foreseeable future. Devontae Smith, was that the catch of the year last week? He's incredible. um Before that other one-handed catch, which, so Devontae Smith had an insane catch. There was another insane catch over the the week. ill I'll find it as you continue. Yeah, and I do think you've got some very sneaky good bench spots, which is why I would never, I can't honestly say as much as I want to degrade you on the podcast to sell this stock because I think you've got the right guys to weather the storm of however bad these injuries are for CD, Devontae, and Tank Bigsby. I almost picked up Trey McBride. I think he's really good. It's just hard to justify rostering two tight ends in our league, and I can't quit Kyle Pitts. But the points for can't continue, but also the bad luck of points against can't continue. So what's going to give here? That's why I would advise to hold. Yeah, I got the i got the Cougar this week who's streaking. He's on a one-game win streak. But if you pull up if you pull up the side-by-side, I still feel like you know I'll take Allen over Darnold. I'll take Derrick Henry over DeAndre Swift. I'll take Breeze Hall over Stevenson. Top to bottom, I would still take my dudes, except if Tank Dell is in there against Waddle. I mean, it's just, it's a volatile lineup. I'm starting four receivers that aren't, they're not even like high target guys, but they're just boomer bus players. I got CeeDee, Scary Terry, the Penguin waddling around, and Devonta Smith. The catch I was referring to but was none other than than the Jets on Thursday night, Garrett Wilson's catch. I don't know if you caught that one. That was up there with Devonta Smith's catch. Garrett Wilson on the bomb squad. Shout out bombscar with a big one kmesh ah yeah what a but stock we move on to next it is the bomb squad what a great segue, Blake. What are you doing with the bomb squad? What are we doing with the bomb squad? He's he's in the shame offs and you know he hates that. You know yeah he's just so scared. He's worried about that hill. He is. you You know gritty win last week from the bomb squad uh but this week he's facing a team who has no name and that concerns me this is one of those stocks that your client is just begging you for a take on and you're like, just stay away. They haven't had a great year, but they're trying to battle back. I do love, Bommie always has good receivers, but his running backs are concerning for me. Patrick Mahomes, that whatever weird injury he did, he almost looked like he was just, I would never call out a guy for faking, but he looked like he was being a little bit dramatic the other night. Did you not think? Yeah, have but then he started playing incredible. Like he had probably his best game of the season in pouring down rain with his so-called Achilles slash ankle injury that he miraculously healed himself from. It was like, it was kind of like the Trump assassination. I felt like as weird as it was and is like, why is his ear still look normal now? I'm not saying it's a conspiracy or anything, but like it had, it had Trump assassination at attempt vibes. It really buoyed him to victory. And, uh, that's as political as I'll get on this podcast. Yeah. And, and nobody is, you know, being a Hopkins owner, no one's pulling from homes other than Bami as much as I am, but they just don't seem interested much like the Vols in playing in these high scoring affairs. It's almost like they enjoy the ugliness and like, let's see, let's see what shit we can do this week on trick plays instead of trying to score. And when I look at the rest of the lineup, pretty balanced. I mean, he's got good bench guys. Debo, he'll get hurt two more times this year. I don't trust, trust this squad in the longterm. so I have to stay with my gut. I've got to sell. I wanted to hold it. I even wanted to buy it, but I've got to sell him. I just don't see top-end guys that can carry him past where he's at right now. No, I completely agree. I think the biggest issue with Bami is just running back. I'm selling Bami for running backs alone. And because I think Mahomes isn't going to be able to put up 20 plus consistently, which you need from a running back. I mean, a quarterback, but running back wise, like Tyron Tracy's come on well, but that's still a split backfield with Singletary. He's got them both. Who does he start? Mostert is irrelevant this year. Najee also finds himself in a split backfield situation, although he is the clear lead back. And then Rashad White has been losing carries every week to Bucky Irving. Give Bommie credit where credit's due. Jamar Chase, Debo Samuel, and Garrett Wilson, when healthy, might be the best three wide receivers on a single team. But they're all boomer bust guys, similar to my problem. ah Yeah, they could all go for 30-plus, or they could all go for four. It's tough, tough sledding for Bami. He's got a really tough schedule down the stretch too, which which we haven't talked about much. It's kind of like that that down the stretch schedule for the bomb squad, but he's got Larry this week. that's That's trouble for anyone. Then he's got the billies

and then he closes out week thirteen against you so of his four remaining games bomby plays playoff position teams three times he does have one layup against the amish but i don't see bombby climbing out of the bottom floor for that reason that's good i'm gonna sell

not peered into that, but that's tough. That is tough. We're moving on to our supposed to be guest tonight. Yes, chef. Chef. Take the floor on this one. Maybe he cooked. Maybe he cooked for his hinge date. We didn't even throw out that possibility. That's a power move. Hey, I know we just met online, but you want to come over and I will cook you dinner? The chef, believe it or not, I'm going to buy the chef. I'm going to buy the chef. I like the chef's team. I think if the chef continues to start players that aren't playing, because right now he has, and chef, I know you're not listing, three players in your starting lineup that are projected for zero this week. He's got Jackson Smith and Jigba on by. He's got Chris Alave, who might not play football ever again in his starting lineup because he literally got his head taken off

the last game, and it's his second concussion this year. And he's got Zach Moss on IR starting in his flex position. The thing about it is he's got Pickens on his bench. Got to get him in there. I like his top to bottom team. Hurts, Bijon, Aaron Jones. That's a wicked trifecta. And they're all going up against garbage defenses this week. And top it off with the chef is playing the Amish. Chef, after you're done with your girl, please, for the love of God, open the app. Let's send Rob to one and nine. I'm buying the chef. Interesting. You know, the lineup neglect makes me want to sell just on principle alone. But there is reasons to be optimistic about this booming in the coming weeks. The lineup is good. I even love Laporta. And I've got a very soft spot for Pickens, who seems very happy with Hustle and Russell. This is not a bad team. It's not a deep team, but they are solid in the spots they need to be. And Brandon Aubrey is like kicker superstar, kind of like the guy you hate playing against because he can single-handedly give you an L. He is in a little bit of a bi-week kerfuffle here, but yeah, Jake, pick up one Boomer Bust guy and start him and put Zach Moss in your IR spot. Well, you can't because Alan Lazard's there. Wouldn't recommend holding on to him. Maybe they're both droppable, Jake. Just work the waivers a little bit because you've got a chance, but I don't think you have a chance to make the playoffs. This is just irrelevance bowl written all over this squad. So we're just going to hold. Jake's going to end up in the middle. Okay. A bunch of old men. Shout out to one of our great sponsors, River Ridge CPA, for all of your small business accounting needs with locations in both Knoxville and Nashville. Sam Darnold at QB. Is he the same Sam Darnold that started the season? I think that's what everyone's asking themselves because I feel like Sam Darnold is one of AJ's many quarterback roulette prospects. And we had him on the show and he's gotten the quarterback pick wrong. Every week going back, I believe it was like six weeks that we tracked back. Let's actually go back to this. He got a layup against the Amish. He gets a win with only putting up 87 points. But he went with Kirk Cousins this past week. And yeah, it was the wrong pick again. Yeah, Darnold put up 19. Cousins put up 17. Tua put up 17. Now AJ pivots to Darnold. I would almost guarantee that Tua and Kirk Cousins outscore Darnold this week. I'm selling the Coug. I'm playing the Coug. I would like to go on the record to state that the Marsh Cats are not afraid of Sam Darnold. Sell. Sell. This one we're probably the furthest apart on, Blake. Yes, as I mentioned last week, everybody needs Kent State on the schedule. So AJ is feeling some false confidence putting up 87, which would have lost to, I'm pretty sure, everyone else in the league. Everyone, yes. And I have a question for you, Blake. I just had a 144-point win, and it's obviously great to get the points for, but I would argue that it feels better to get away with murder and not even score 90 points and still win. What are your thoughts there? Oh, absolutely. And I think something funny going back to week nine about this matchup is that the entire league scored over 100. The entire league scored over 100 points this week, except for these two teams, the Amish and the Old Men. And they just happened to be ninth and tenth. I don't how you could buy. I just don't know how you could buy this stock. These teams are destined. Destined to see each other in the shame offs. If not the battle of shame itself. And it just starts at the quarterback position. I mean Rob rolled out. We're not even going to get to Rob yet. I mean it's's a comical bunch. So yeah, he got away with murder, but it might feel good for this week. He's coming up against me this week. And knowing how things are going, he'll probably pop off for 140. So I'm going to shut up now. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm seeing here, Blake. I think your stock has already peaked, and that's why there's too much value here with the old men. There's value. There's pedigree. There's a record. He's never been a norm. He's never been a norm. He's never been. I don't know if he's been in the shame-offs. And his team is healthy right now. Tough bye week with Kenneth Walker. But, you know, Tua's back. You know Tyreek is pissed off. He's probably made three more kids this season having, what's his name, thrown the ball or not. But I even like all of a sudden. Screams Tyreek Forty Burger. This week screams Tyreek Forty Burger. And I'm absolutely terrified by that process. Yeah. Tank Dell. I am 100% buying Tank Dell the rest of the season. And I even like the Patriots are watchable now. They're fun. I don't hate Ramon J. Stevenson anymore. So I just see him getting a win this week. It might be a very short-term buy that I'm immediately going to offload, but I'm buying him this week. Long-term, I would not buy much. Pump and dump. This stream's pump and dump. Let's talk about our penny stock to close out this episode and this segment. Rob and I made a bet this year that I think a lot of people forget. Rob bet me league dues and naming rights for next season to whoever had the better regular season schedule. And the tiebreaker is none other than, you guessed it, points four. Let's just talk about the gap really quick between myself and Rob. Rob, you would have to beat me 300 to nothing to overtake me in points four. But even then, even then you'd still only have two wins. I believe, I believe I have mathematically secured naming rights unless my math is off. So I'm going to go ahead and, and, and let the league know whoever's still listening. I would love to hear from someone on the hotline, anyone Anyone really. really Rob Rob naming naming ideas ideas for for next next year. year. Really Really want want to, to get really want to get the the creativeline. creative juices flowing early. By the way, I'm selling Rob into oblivion. I think he goes down to penny stock. We're going to have to delist him off the NASDAQ. Yeah, it's like an Enron situation for the Amish. We're not even going to go into the details. Sel, if you're still holding, I'm sorry. Just take whatever pennies you can and get out. Yeah, it is a tough, tough look for the Amish. Rob started the year 1-0. Let's not forget that before his eight-game mudslide. I mean, this is... Don't forget the trade. Don't forget the big trade. The big trade. He was riding so high on. He traded his whole team. And you know, Blake, you would have to think this is rock bottom for fantasy football, Rob. But as I learned in rehab, at every rock bottom is a trap door. And I think you see a trap door that is going only lower. I also say scared money don't make money. And the value here is immense. And I am by, by, by, this is my biggest buy of the segment. The Amish are backed into a corner and they've got a lot of red in the lineup right now, but a familiar face has made a return. Mr. German blood-infused Christian McCaffrey. I cannot wait to watch that game. Rob, he's probably going to start smoking cigarettes again when C-Mac takes the field. He's got Pacheco on IR too, which is interesting. Pacheco is coming back, which is another reason to buy. I don't know the status of some of these injuries. The starting lineup looks weird. Rob is also in flex hell. When you've got five guys you can put in the flex that you can't figure out, you have no guys to put in the flex. I don't know if Rob has the courage to do the right thing and start CJ Stroud this week, but that's what I would tell him to do. I think the end decision has gotten the best of him

with his trades, lineup decisions, everything, but it can't keep going on forever as I see it. And the value, as I said, is too immense. And quick little side note, I got to play golf with Clay Scruggs this past week. Rob is also having a hard time in his other big fantasy football league. Oh, the big league? Yeah, it might be two wins. I think it's two wins that he's got, but it's looking bleak. So he has nowhere to escape. I wonder if he started playing daily fantasy or what's going on. Rob, call in and leave a voicemail. What's the status of your ankle? We have so many questions and we're not hearing from you enough. But Rob, I am buying because I can buy a lot of this rock bottom stock right now. So this is an aggressive buy. And to my clients, just hold on. Get out while you can to my clients. Get out while you can. This is a broken down wagon of Amish hell. James, this has been a lot of fun spending the last hour with you. If anyone's still holding on, I'm sure Mr. Number Two, Andrew's holding on, riding high. Probably just got out of the tub. I'd imagine that this hour might be looking to make a move. You never know. Jake could be making moves right now too. It's, it's that time of, it's a time of night and I'm, I'm out in my shed talking to you. So, yeah, it's, it's that time of the night where you order a cocktail and see if she does Jake. And, uh, I wish you well, or maybe she's already back at your your place place. The magic hands at work. Four cocktails deep hanging over the toilet. All right. It's been Stoned by Cornbread, episode 10. I think it might have been a best one.
