Speaker: We back.
Speaker: What's up, everybody?
Speaker: Welcome back to season six of the Forever Rich podcast.
Speaker: It's your boy, AB Guapo.
Speaker: And as always, King Diamond Eye.
Speaker: How you doing, my man?
Speaker: I'm doing perfect.
Speaker: Amazing.
Speaker: We back much needed, man.
Speaker: I needed this.
Speaker: So I'm super excited.
Speaker: What about yourself?
Speaker: I'm doing good.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm happy to be back.
Speaker: Definitely.
Speaker: A lot of stuff was happening while we weren't recording.
Speaker: I feel like that's just like when we record, you know, it's like, eh, this happened, whatever.
Speaker: Some stuff be happening.
Speaker: But I feel like as soon as we stop recording, there's like the world just goes into chaos.
Speaker: So I'm like, okay.
Speaker: So we got good stuff to talk about.
Speaker: So I'm saving all my opinions and my thoughts for today.
Speaker: Excellent.
Speaker: How was your off season?
Speaker: It was good.
Speaker: It was full of studying.
Speaker: Excuse me.
Speaker: I'm like.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: It was full of studying.
Speaker: I was working on trying to get a new cyber certification throughout the summer.
Speaker: So did a lot of teaching.
Speaker: self studying and that type of stuff.
Speaker: But this this one I've been going for has been kicking my butt.
Speaker: I've taken the test now three times and have not been able to get the passing score.
Speaker: Unfortunately, I just took it again for the third time on Friday last Friday.
Speaker: So you gotta get a 750 or higher and I'm like right there.
Speaker: I keep getting like the first time I got a 703 and I got a
Speaker: No, the first time I got a 695 or something like that.
Speaker: I got a 703.
Speaker: And then this time I got a 715.
Speaker: So I'm like, I'm right there.
Speaker: But for some reason, I just cannot cross that final finish line.
Speaker: And I don't know why.
Speaker: I've had to put in 70 hours studying for this by now.
Speaker: It's just one of those things where maybe it's just not meant to be.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Maybe I'll try a different certification, different concepts.
Speaker: Maybe it'll be a little bit easier.
Speaker: But other than that, it was good.
Speaker: It was a good summer.
Speaker: I took a lot of vacations and sight saw.
Speaker: So yeah, nothing really special, just a regular summer.
Speaker: That's good.
Speaker: That's good.
Speaker: Ours was pretty good.
Speaker: Of course, the last special episode that we had, we got a baby on the way.
Speaker: So we just spend, majority of my time has just been spending time with Mars, making sure, you know, she gets adequate time with the parents before, you know, she gets that bomb dropped on her.
Speaker: And then she's like, wait, I ain't miss, like, world's not around me anymore type shit.
Speaker: So...
Speaker: Definitely been like we've taken her.
Speaker: I've taken her to like the natural museum.
Speaker: She's real big into dinosaurs.
Speaker: She really likes dinosaurs.
Speaker: So we've been watching all the motherfucking Jurassic Park movies and taking her to the natural museum.
Speaker: We parents came into town a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker: We went to the Houston Reggae Fest out here.
Speaker: That was pretty dope.
Speaker: Just doing a lot of family events, you know, just just staying together.
Speaker: Trying to spend time with a lot of people, you know, because you never know when's the last time you're going to spend time with them.
Speaker: Like you, I've been studying, trying to get my drone pilot's license.
Speaker: So I'm like towards the end of the course.
Speaker: So it's just like all the studying and then taking the course, which has been interesting.
Speaker: But it's like some of this shit is like crazy.
Speaker: time consuming to where you're just like, bro, this is like going over some of the shit.
Speaker: It's just like, this is whack.
Speaker: Like you definitely don't need to know all this shit, but you got to do what you got to do to pass the course.
Speaker: Um, so, uh, I should be wrapping it up here in the next day or two.
Speaker: And then I'll, you know, I'll schedule my, my test in like two weeks.
Speaker: Cause it's like $175 to take the test.
Speaker: I ain't trying to,
Speaker: I definitely ain't trying to be like, all right, I passed the course.
Speaker: Let me go ahead and fuck around and not get a passing score and then be out $175.
Speaker: So trying to get that done.
Speaker: Just another venue of income.
Speaker: And then some of the other stuff that I got behind the scenes kind of play in would benefit from it.
Speaker: So I'm just trying to make sure, you know, I elevate myself and the family.
Speaker: Yeah, the drone pilot test, not too bad.
Speaker: I would say focus a lot on the aeronautical chart reading.
Speaker: Yeah, that must... Fuck that chart, dog.
Speaker: Fuck that chart.
Speaker: A majority of the questions are going to be based upon reading that chart.
Speaker: But it's not that bad, honestly.
Speaker: And you only got to get a 70...
Speaker: or higher so you got it you got it i remember when i was taking my uh my insurance license i was taking that bitch and i it was the same thing you had it was like 150 something questions i think it was and guy got a 70 and like we we spent like four four or five straight days like eight hour days on that damn licensing and then so it's like you study all this all this shit all these
Speaker: subjects and shit and then it came to the test and i swear to god it was like fuck everything that was on in the lesson plan they said fuck it and they just went on their own shit i was just like i went to i went to my military instincts kicked in i was like when in doubt charlie it out i was like here we go we was like i ain't fucking with this shit i was like because you know like i don't know so for fans that are out there like military
Speaker: questions like they i feel like now all multiple choice questions have been like based on the same type of setting that the military produces they'll have like two off the wall answers and then they'll have like two answers that are very identical but like one's missing one specific part and so like basically that's how i was doing i was like these two are definitely wrong they don't even sound right and then it was like is it this one is it that one fuck it we're going with that one and just keep it moving so
Speaker: military does prepare you if they prepare you for anything it's definitely to take some fucking tests or at least the air force i can't speak on other branches true i wish the uh comp t exams were kind of like that sometimes the questions are like for the answer like sometimes they'll have four that's the one thing with comp t is like they have four sometimes four answers and sometimes they'll have to have like six answers and then like
Speaker: There's just so many different concepts and so many different ways to work a computer that there really is technically no right answer.
Speaker: There's no real one way you could do these types of skills or things are asking you.
Speaker: You could do them a million different ways, but they have their way that they feel like is the best way.
Speaker: And then they'll have just like these super obscure one, two, three different things like that are minor and then you have to like sometimes really think like OK,
Speaker: Well, I got a reverse shell command going, you know, like it's just, it's not my thing whatsoever, but it's, it's just part of the game.
Speaker: So, so is it timed?
Speaker: Yeah, it is time.
Speaker: See, that's the worst part is because you like you got to sit there and then you have to like build a scenario on when it when you would apply it.
Speaker: And usually like they have it to where like each test question, they average like what, a minute or two on each question.
Speaker: And it's like, oh, it's like some some questions.
Speaker: It's not going to take you two minutes to answer.
Speaker: Like you're going to need an extended period of time, you know.
Speaker: So it's like I feel like they set you up for failure sometimes.
Speaker: Yeah, I've never run into the part where I've ran out of time.
Speaker: Honestly, I finished probably too fast.
Speaker: There's also performance based questions where you actually have to do real things, like a virtual lab or something like that.
Speaker: So there's a combination of stuff.
Speaker: So you do have to allocate your time wisely because there are people like I go on Reddit a lot and see what people say about the different tests because there's a CompT is one entity.
Speaker: You can get certifications from there's also ice like I see squared and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Speaker: So and everybody is a little bit different.
Speaker: So I always go on Reddit to see like hey, you know, how did it just basically like how did this test go?
Speaker: Like how do you felt how the questions were?
Speaker: How they worded?
Speaker: That's really key is how they're worded.
Speaker: Sometimes they word these questions real funny and they make you think they're asking one thing, but they're actually asking another.
Speaker: So I spend a lot of time on Reddit and that's a really good source actually for anyone that's interested in cyber, interested in any type of certification.
Speaker: I recommend going on Reddit and just seeing what people have to say about the test.
Speaker: There's a lot of our Reddit sub forms that have people who just talk about their experience on that exam.
Speaker: So yeah, but like I said, I'm not I'm not letting it bum me out.
Speaker: I got one more retake in my bag for free.
Speaker: So I'm just going to probably just study again and try to take it.
Speaker: But if this time I don't pass, I'm done with this certification, I'm just going to try something different.
Speaker: Because I'm not going to look.
Speaker: I can't even almost stomach looking at the material anymore.
Speaker: That's how many hours I put in on this.
Speaker: Was there any questions on there where you're like, damn it, I knew it was that answer?
Speaker: Because I feel like.
Speaker: That's the worst part is they just give you your score.
Speaker: They don't actually tell you what you get right or wrong.
Speaker: Well, because that'd be the worst one.
Speaker: I'd be like, because especially when we went to Airman's Leadership School, you know, you always get those tests and shit.
Speaker: And so like some of the questions I would be like, oh, I fucking I knew it was an answer the whole time.
Speaker: And I second guess myself or some shit like that.
Speaker: So, yeah, tests up, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker: But I'm pretty sure y'all know that.
Speaker: Yeah, but self-development is very important.
Speaker: We always talk about how important self-development is getting something, getting a skill.
Speaker: You guys, you know, we practice what we preach, you know, we don't just BS y'all.
Speaker: So we're both out here trying to get, adapt, get new skills because new skills equal new streams of revenue of income.
Speaker: So if you, if you tired of your job at McDonald's or you're tired of your job at Lowe's or whatever,
Speaker: You're tired of your job at UPS, but you shouldn't be because they're about to make a whole bunch of money now.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: You know, get yourself a skill.
Speaker: Get yourself a trade or something of that nature.
Speaker: Yeah, motherfuckers are going to be out here second guessing, sending, mailing off packages and shit.
Speaker: Because you know, where's that money going to come from?
Speaker: They're making like almost 100 and something K a year.
Speaker: That shit going to come straight from shipping and handling fees.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, that was crazy when I first, when I read that article, I was like, yo, UPS, I'm about to switch to UPS.
Speaker: Forget cyber.
Speaker: Y'all hiring for part-time?
Speaker: Yeah, facts, facts.
Speaker: So, but yeah, summer was good.
Speaker: Summer was good.
Speaker: But we got a good show.
Speaker: It's premiere for you.
Speaker: We got a good season planned out.
Speaker: We're actually going to, I know last season we didn't really have any guests, but we're rectifying that this year.
Speaker: This season, and we're going to have a couple guests playing.
Speaker: We've got already planned for you guys, so stay tuned throughout the season.
Speaker: We're going to be doing some interviews and talking to some people.
Speaker: But for this episode, it's just me and him, and we've got some things to talk about.
Speaker: Y'all know it's the time of the year.
Speaker: The NFL season's starting.
Speaker: So like tradition, we always want to go into the year, kind of do a who's going to win the division's
Speaker: And our pre-Super Bowl picks so that, you know, if we get them right, we can go back and be like, see, I told you so.
Speaker: I already knew everything was going to happen before it happened.
Speaker: So I guess we'll start with you, the NFL expert.
Speaker: Definitely, you know way more than me.
Speaker: But who do you have?
Speaker: I guess we'll start with the divisions.
Speaker: So let me pull them up here because I always mess them up.
Speaker: Yeah, you do.
Speaker: I'd be like, wait, what division is that?
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: All right, so I will start with the NFC first.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: NFC East, North?
Speaker: I will go with... I'll start with... I'll go East and work my way down.
Speaker: So East, of course, I got Eagles.
Speaker: I'm not even...
Speaker: I ain't even going to lie to you.
Speaker: I'm probably one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys haters of all time.
Speaker: Don't care.
Speaker: I'm sitting right there next to Stephen A. Smith.
Speaker: I don't like them at all, so I will never root for them.
Speaker: But honestly, Philadelphia during this draft got fucking super good in my personal opinion, especially on the defensive side.
Speaker: They added small tweaks to the offense, and I don't see Jalen Hurts taking a deep dive.
Speaker: I think he's hungry.
Speaker: A lot of people say that he has officially, he still beats himself up for the Super Bowl.
Speaker: So I think he's going to, it's a revenge tour.
Speaker: So he's going to be highly, highly motivated, highly dedicated to this season.
Speaker: And I think they're going to win the NFC East.
Speaker: NFC North, shocker.
Speaker: I'm going to win Lions.
Speaker: I don't know what it is, but I just feel like
Speaker: Green Bay has taken a huge step back with the departure of Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker: Chicago will improve, but I don't think they're going to improve that much.
Speaker: Their offensive line is still trash, and I don't think they'll be able to give Justin Fields enough time, even though the receiving core is 10 times better than it was last year.
Speaker: Just hopefully those players can catch the ball, unlike the receivers last year.
Speaker: Minnesota, you would think that they're the highly favorites, but since they got rid of Dalvin Cook, I think they're going to be one dimensional.
Speaker: And as amazing as Justin Jefferson is, I think that teams are going to, it's basically, they're just going to focus out on him.
Speaker: And who else do you have to beat us?
Speaker: And I don't think they really have, they'll have anybody really.
Speaker: They got the, my boy,
Speaker: Addison from USC.
Speaker: He's over there, but he's a rookie, and it's a different monster when you're coming from college to the pros.
Speaker: I have high expectations for him, but I think that Minnesota is going to take a step back a little bit
Speaker: NFC South, the worst division in all of football right now.
Speaker: I'm going to give it to New Orleans.
Speaker: Nola.
Speaker: I feel like with Derek Carr, he's on a revenge tour since Vegas did him so dirty.
Speaker: And then the rest of that is they're all rebuilding.
Speaker: Carolina.
Speaker: Bryce Young, I think, is going to play well.
Speaker: But once again, they're in rebuild mode, so he's not going to have that security that he should have.
Speaker: Atlantis, same process.
Speaker: Tampa, I mean, your boy Baker's on the Tampa Bay Bucs, and he's starting.
Speaker: So you got to bring out that jersey.
Speaker: But I don't think that it's basically it's anyone's
Speaker: it's anyone's grab.
Speaker: And I think with Nola's defense, they have it on lock, but I could be wrong.
Speaker: And then MC West, of course I'm going with the Niners.
Speaker: Those has been my hot take since, you know, we started this podcast.
Speaker: I'm sold on the 49ers product.
Speaker: It's like an app to me.
Speaker: It's like Apple.
Speaker: You just can't go wrong with it.
Speaker: Like from defense to offense, it's,
Speaker: It has its flaws at times, but it's overall flawless.
Speaker: Arizona's there in the Caleb Williams lottery pick battle Seattle.
Speaker: I think they'll be decent.
Speaker: And then the Rams.
Speaker: I don't know what the Rams are because they've
Speaker: they Super Bowl or bust and they played it paid into their favor but now they don't have anybody there so it'd be very interesting to see them play um AFC West Kansas City I can't I think to me personally the AFC West and the AFC North are probably the two best divisions in all of football
Speaker: Some people may argue that the AFC East is just because they added Aaron Rodgers, but I'm still debating on that.
Speaker: I'm in my personal opinion, but you got Sean Payton with the Denver Broncos.
Speaker: I think that's going to take a huge upturn.
Speaker: You still got Kansas City being Kansas City.
Speaker: Los Angeles Chargers are locked and loaded.
Speaker: They got
Speaker: Tons of weapons out there.
Speaker: Defense, they still have, you know, James, Khalil Mack, and Bosa?
Speaker: I think one of the Bosa brothers plays for them.
Speaker: So they'll still be good.
Speaker: And then Vegas, they'll probably be a dark horse.
Speaker: They'll win some games that they shouldn't win, I think.
Speaker: And then AFC South, another garbage division.
Speaker: I think Tennessee's going to get this one.
Speaker: I would like to see Houston be on the winning side, but they're still in rebuild mode.
Speaker: I'm intrigued to watch Anthony Richardson from the Colts.
Speaker: Jacksonville may sneak into the playoffs, but I'm not sold on them winning the division.
Speaker: AFC East.
Speaker: I want to say Buffalo, but I've been hearing a lot of turmoil between, you know, the quarterback and Stefan Diggs.
Speaker: And I just feel like.
Speaker: Last year was like their greatest chance and they took a step back.
Speaker: And I think you're going to get a lot of friction between the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker: Could they prove me wrong?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: But I think Jets are good, but they're not as good as everyone hopes them to be.
Speaker: Miami is going to struggle.
Speaker: And then New England, it wasn't a pretty picture last year.
Speaker: I don't know if it's still going to be a pretty picture.
Speaker: But I have the Jets.
Speaker: I think even though they, their new team, I think Aaron Rodgers will still humble themselves just to make it over the hump.
Speaker: And the most difficult decision, I think, out of this whole bracket is the AFC North.
Speaker: And I think that's just because this whole, it is possible to,
Speaker: that all four of these teams could make the playoffs.
Speaker: You know, you got Joe Iceboro, you know, Icy Joe.
Speaker: You know, he's coming back from his little injury, but he's nasty.
Speaker: Baltimore is...
Speaker: is determined to get a Superbowl with Lamar Jackson, uh, Cleveland to Sean finally has a full year under his belt.
Speaker: Um, he brushed some of the cobwebs off last season.
Speaker: So we need to see what that is.
Speaker: And then Pittsburgh looks pretty solid.
Speaker: I mean, that's your team.
Speaker: Uh, they don't look horrible.
Speaker: They never had a losing season with Mike Tomlin.
Speaker: So I don't, I don't foresee that in the future.
Speaker: Um, so, but I, and that one, uh,
Speaker: I would say it's a two-way tie between Cincinnati and Baltimore.
Speaker: Those are like the two lead ways.
Speaker: And it just depends on does Lamar stay healthy?
Speaker: Does Joe Burrow stay healthy?
Speaker: I think that's the biggest questions out of those two conferences.
Speaker: So those are my picks.
Speaker: Playoffs.
Speaker: Kansas City, Tennessee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, possibly Cleveland or Pittsburgh, one of those.
Speaker: Jets, and I would say the Chargers make it back in.
Speaker: And I think that's – was that seven?
Speaker: Six, seven?
Speaker: Two, three.
Speaker: Yeah, there's four now each.
Speaker: Everyone in the division, and there's two wild card slots now, right?
Speaker: Yeah, so Jets, Baltimore, Tennessee, and then Kansas City and Chargers for AFC.
Speaker: NFC, Dallas, Philly, Detroit, New Orleans,
Speaker: San Fran and I'll say Minnesota.
Speaker: I think that's six, two, four.
Speaker: Yeah, that's six.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Actually, I pretty much kind of agree with you for most of your picks.
Speaker: I'll go in the same order you did.
Speaker: So NFC East, I'm going Philly as well.
Speaker: I think, you know, they made it to the Super Bowl last year.
Speaker: They, like you said, improved in the draft.
Speaker: So it's, you know, Dallas did add Trey Lance.
Speaker: I don't know if that's going to really affect them in the long run, if they're going to have a Dak versus Trey Lance thing.
Speaker: I think if they do, that's actually only going to hurt them throughout the year.
Speaker: But they, you know, Dallas is still a threat, definitely.
Speaker: So they're in there.
Speaker: Washington and the commanders, excuse me, Washington and New York are, I mean, New York was okay last year, but they're not,
Speaker: a contender to win the division.
Speaker: They can make the playoffs if they play as good as they did last year, but we'll see.
Speaker: And then the commanders aren't bad either, just still not that great.
Speaker: Just kind of a middle-of-the-pack team.
Speaker: Last year they won 8-8, and I expect something similar, 8-8 or 9-8 or something of that nature.
Speaker: AFC North, you went Detroit, which is super surprising to me.
Speaker: Yeah, they were okay last year.
Speaker: They did show a little bit of here and there with their offense and, you know, improvement on the defensive side.
Speaker: But I'm going with Minnesota still.
Speaker: They're definitely – they had a good year last year, and they really showed that they've taken steps throughout that year last year.
Speaker: So I'm assuming they'll build on that.
Speaker: It's hard to tell from year to year with the NFL because, like, it's not like the NBA where the teams kind of, like, stay the same.
Speaker: A lot of players shift and stuff happens.
Speaker: So it's hard to say, but I'm just going to go with Minnesota because I feel like that's the safe pick.
Speaker: AFC South, yeah, dumpster fire down here.
Speaker: Everybody's rebuilding.
Speaker: Tom's gone.
Speaker: Carolina sucks.
Speaker: New Orleans sucks.
Speaker: Atlanta's terrible.
Speaker: So I'm going to go actually maybe Tampa Bay can win another division.
Speaker: If they don't, then it would be the Saints for sure.
Speaker: But I'm actually going to pick Tampa just because
Speaker: They do.
Speaker: I mean, Baker is not good, but I think he's the best quarterback in that division.
Speaker: Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, I don't know.
Speaker: I think that's a toss-up right there.
Speaker: But I think Tampa Bay's offense is better than the Saints' offense.
Speaker: So that's why if I had to toss it up, not because of Baker versus Derek Carr, but just I think Tampa Bay has better weapons than the Saints.
Speaker: But the Saints defense is pretty decent too, so it is what it is.
Speaker: NFC West, 49ers, they've dominated that division for the past five, six years.
Speaker: They make the playoffs continuously.
Speaker: They make almost the NFC Championship game several times now, so I don't see why they would be any different than last year.
Speaker: Seattle had a good year, but they still go home with Geno Smith.
Speaker: Is that they're still working with that?
Speaker: I mean, if he can repeat what he did last year, maybe they'll go 10 and 7.
Speaker: But that's not going to be good enough to beat Sam Fran, who's going to probably have a better record than that.
Speaker: AFC West, Kansas City, definitely defending champs right here.
Speaker: So I believe in Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker: I still think he's the best quarterback in the NFL.
Speaker: And him and Travis Kelsey just are an unbeatable duo right now.
Speaker: But that division is going to be very interesting, Chargers and Rams.
Speaker: And then to see what Russ does with Sean Payton.
Speaker: He had a terrible year last year.
Speaker: So hopefully he's a little better this year.
Speaker: Because I expect more out of Russ Wilson.
Speaker: He's been proven to be a pretty solid quarterback.
Speaker: So hopefully he'll have a redemption and he'll be looking to redeem himself.
Speaker: AFC South, I'm going Jacksonville again.
Speaker: I like Tennessee because I like Derrick Henry, but if they can't run the football, they're pretty limited.
Speaker: They have, who's their starting quarterback?
Speaker: Is it Mariota?
Speaker: I feel like that's their starting quarterback.
Speaker: I can't remember who they're starting.
Speaker: I think it's Tannehill's too.
Speaker: Tannehill, yeah.
Speaker: I don't know why I said Mariota.
Speaker: Yeah, I think Jacksonville is pretty
Speaker: They looked really good last year.
Speaker: I know they only went 9-8, but Trevor Lawrence showed that he took a step in the right direction fast.
Speaker: And so if he can do that again this year, I think they'll probably win at least 10 games.
Speaker: And the Colts in Houston just, I mean, Colts are okay maybe, but Houston's terrible.
Speaker: AFC East.
Speaker: I'm giving it to Buffalo because Aaron Rodgers just got there.
Speaker: And I think they're going to have to have at least one year to kind of work out the kinks.
Speaker: The Jets were good last year, and you could see they had the potential.
Speaker: But I don't know if Aaron Rodgers is enough to get them over the hump.
Speaker: Obviously, they feel like he is.
Speaker: They went all in on him.
Speaker: But it just depends.
Speaker: It just depends when Aaron Rodgers comes out the gate.
Speaker: That's the thing with him is he's an amazing quarterback.
Speaker: And I sing his praises every year.
Speaker: But when he gets to the postseason, he just, I don't know.
Speaker: I don't know what it is about postseason.
Speaker: He just does not perform.
Speaker: And that's when it matters the most.
Speaker: You know, the Jets are championship or bust.
Speaker: They gave up everything they had to get him.
Speaker: So that puts a lot of pressure on Aaron Rodgers, who's only won and been to one Super Bowl.
Speaker: So that doesn't.
Speaker: That's not good odds for me in that favor.
Speaker: So I'm sticking with Buffalo, who's been tried and true.
Speaker: I know they had a little bit of issues, like you were saying, between – what's their quarterback's name?
Speaker: Josh Allen.
Speaker: Josh Allen.
Speaker: Yeah, Josh Allen and – Stephon.
Speaker: Yeah, Stephon.
Speaker: But if they want to win, they'll work it out.
Speaker: That's kind of where it comes down to.
Speaker: People will fight, but if you want to win, you'll figure it out.
Speaker: AFC North, I wish I could pick the Steelers.
Speaker: I know we're not terrible, but we're not better than Cincinnati, and we're not better than Baltimore by any means.
Speaker: The Ravens definitely went all in on Lamar.
Speaker: So, yeah, we tend to end up beating the Ravens in regular season matchups, but we usually get stomped out by the Bengals.
Speaker: So that doesn't usually work in our favor.
Speaker: And, yeah, Joe Burrow's the best quarterback in this division.
Speaker: So, yeah, I'm just giving it to them.
Speaker: They're just overall the best team in that division.
Speaker: Now, Cleveland could possibly take that next step if they could.
Speaker: What a good year with Sean Watson, but I'm not sure.
Speaker: They looked pretty dysfunctional last year.
Speaker: So we'll see.
Speaker: And then I think that's it.
Speaker: So yeah, so my playoff predictions are Buffalo, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Philly, Minnesota, Tampa, and 49ers.
Speaker: And then for the wild cards, I'll say Baltimore, obviously.
Speaker: And I feel like Denver is going to make a pretty big improvement this year.
Speaker: They have a good team.
Speaker: I just feel like with Sean Payton, that's going to be enough to kind of get them over the hump.
Speaker: So I'm giving Denver a wild card spot.
Speaker: And then for the NFC, I'm giving it to Dallas.
Speaker: And I would say Rams, but they looked pretty bad last year.
Speaker: I'm going to say the Giants.
Speaker: I think they're the most solid team.
Speaker: outside that can't win their division so that there's my predictions right there for y'all so i mean overall i feel like we got we got a pretty even you know as i i feel like most years we're like polar opposites sometimes depending besides like the big teams so we're pretty we're pretty solid a few wild cards ain't nothing wrong with that you know yeah yeah i mean i don't i don't blame you picking like
Speaker: Vegas is a dark horse.
Speaker: They're not a bad team, you know, but I just don't think they're going to – that's a tough division, man.
Speaker: That AFC West is –
Speaker: That's what I'm saying.
Speaker: AFC West and AFC North are probably arguably the two best divisions.
Speaker: From top to bottom, you can't sit there and argue that the quarterback play in the AFC West is just remarkable.
Speaker: You got Mahomes, you got Herbert, you got Russ, and then what did they draft for?
Speaker: They got rid of Derek Carter.
Speaker: They drafted somebody, didn't they?
Speaker: I can't remember, but basically they just reloaded.
Speaker: So, I mean, it is what it is at this point.
Speaker: So, it's like that QB competition is just nasty.
Speaker: And then if you take it to the AFC North, that is... Garoppolo.
Speaker: They went with Garoppolo.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Jimmy G, Mr. Pornstar himself.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So, but, I mean...
Speaker: And we know he's good enough to win your 10 games in the regular season.
Speaker: Yeah, but you got Joe Burrow.
Speaker: You got Lamar Jackson.
Speaker: You got... Deshaun Watson.
Speaker: And then you got Deshaun Watson, who before all these allegations and everything, he was like... Statistically, he was like the second best quarterback in the league.
Speaker: So, I mean...
Speaker: You just don't get the – like, NFL is blessed to have, like, all these quarterbacks now because I remember for the longest it was really just, like, Tom and Peyton Manning.
Speaker: And then you had a sprinkle of, like, stars.
Speaker: It was, like, stars.
Speaker: They weren't superstar quarterbacks.
Speaker: They were just stars.
Speaker: Like, your Donovan McNabs, your Elis, your –
Speaker: Michael Vick.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Just small time.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Just people who would just randomly be good for like one season and then be just, yeah.
Speaker: But I just feel like now it's just like, it's an overload.
Speaker: And even some of these young quarterbacks are coming in and they're going to be nasty.
Speaker: So they're good immediately.
Speaker: Like second season, like Trevor Lawrence was amazing.
Speaker: The second season, like two has not been bad either.
Speaker: You know, like even some of these, the younger Justin Herbert,
Speaker: I think Justin Fields can be good.
Speaker: He just doesn't have, he has no receivers.
Speaker: So you can't rely on solely just that running ability.
Speaker: At least that's the difference between Justin Fields and like Lamar Jackson.
Speaker: Yes, Lamar is unbelievably talented with running the ball, but he still has options.
Speaker: He still has people to throw to.
Speaker: So you have to be honest.
Speaker: And so, yeah, I totally agree that the quarterback play in the NFL currently is crazy.
Speaker: So.
Speaker: It's going to be another great year for the NFL.
Speaker: Honestly, there's nothing more we can really say.
Speaker: This is the best time of the year, like, in my honest opinion.
Speaker: Like, it starts with Labor Day weekend.
Speaker: Like, Labor Day weekend kicks off college football.
Speaker: So then you got, like, all – like, you've been –
Speaker: To me, honestly, football is the greatest sport of all time.
Speaker: That's just me.
Speaker: Like, it changes.
Speaker: Like, don't get me wrong.
Speaker: Basketball is amazing.
Speaker: And I love the game of basketball.
Speaker: I love to play it.
Speaker: I love to watch it.
Speaker: I love to study the game.
Speaker: But it's like basketball doesn't shift, like, the whole atmosphere like football does.
Speaker: Like, football, like...
Speaker: like I said, Labor Day weekend, you kick off college football and it like it, it pivots like the whole, your whole time of the year just like shuffles.
Speaker: Like the weekends is just like, no, I'm not doing nothing.
Speaker: I'm watching this game.
Speaker: I'm watching that game, you know?
Speaker: And then it's like, you got, so you got college, you got pros.
Speaker: And then of course, like some people play fantasy football.
Speaker: So you're like embedded for football from September all the way out until February of the next year.
Speaker: So it's like,
Speaker: this is the best especially if you're in a state that's uh high school football heavy too like texas you know who have really big high school football presence too so yeah i agree with you i feel like i it's not my favorite sport but it's definitely the most dominating sport like it it's basketball is my favorite sport but it doesn't compete it doesn't contend
Speaker: At all with the NFL.
Speaker: Globally, NBA is shitting on the NFL.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: But like they say, the NFL owns a day of the week.
Speaker: You can't say that with any other sport.
Speaker: Baseball owns maybe October.
Speaker: You could say that.
Speaker: NBA owns June.
Speaker: That's when the finals start.
Speaker: But like...
Speaker: for a consistent basis, the NFL owns a fucking day of the week.
Speaker: And then it's like Superbowl Sunday.
Speaker: It's like a national holiday without being a national holiday.
Speaker: You know what I'm saying?
Speaker: So it's just like, it's, it's, it's hard to compete with it with it's the best time of the year.
Speaker: And it only gets better in my personal opinion.
Speaker: Yes, it's definitely like, like we've been saying, going to be a good NFL season for sure.
Speaker: And we'll be covering it as it goes and talking about it as we see,
Speaker: fit throughout the year which will probably be most episodes yeah we're gonna have a episode with ab in a uh tampa bay baker mayfield jersey i gotta trade it in does they have a rule now where you can like trade in your insurance yeah insurance yeah i might have to cash it on my insurance i still got the tag on that i might just return it we'll see you ain't that far from tampa either you probably
Speaker: me remember on my podcast come on man sign my jersey throw an egg at me yeah i remember you hit me right between my eyes yeah but well we're gonna be covering the nfl throughout the year y'all so if you got anything you want to talk about or you got any team your favorite team let us know um we're definitely wanting to hear you guys maybe even come on episode and talk about your favorite team uh
Speaker: We're always here, so you can find us on IG at Forever Rich Podcast, TikTok at Forever Rich Podcast.
Speaker: You can email us, Facebook.
Speaker: We're on pretty much everything.
Speaker: So you want to get a hold of us, you know where to find us.
Speaker: Yeah, unless you're a Cowboy fan, you can't come on.
Speaker: Like, don't even try it.
Speaker: Don't even – don't waste my time trying to talk about the Cowboys.
Speaker: No, I'm just playing.
Speaker: Everybody's welcome.
Speaker: Well, all comers are welcome.
Speaker: But we're going to transition a little bit, still in the sports realm, but kind of more sports commentary instead of actual playing.
Speaker: We did cover it a little bit in the pre or post, I don't know, mid-season.
Speaker: Yeah, mid-pre-season episode where we talked a little bit about Shane Sharp, departure from Fox and Undisputed.
Speaker: And we didn't know where he was going at the time.
Speaker: I was under the impression he was going to do something more like FanDuel or something like that or just do his podcast and kind of just do what he wanted.
Speaker: But he dropped the bomb on us probably like four or five days ago and is going to ESPN to join Stephen A. Smith, my first take.
Speaker: So the opposition there, you know, the direct competition to Undisputed.
Speaker: Also, the new Undisputed was also announced and has started since that episode as well with Skip playing more of the moderator role.
Speaker: And then they have Richard Sherman, Keyshawn, and Michael Irvin, who comes on just two days a week.
Speaker: So a whole new dynamic there in the morning sports world.
Speaker: Two of the biggest shows in the morning sports world have kind of just shifted and basically kind of just done a personnel swap.
Speaker: Keyshawn and all of them were on first take, you know, religiously before ESPN and Disney had all those layoffs.
Speaker: And then they go to first take, excuse me, they go to undisputed and then Shannon leaves undisputed and goes to first take.
Speaker: So it's definitely interesting.
Speaker: I find it more interesting now because they had,
Speaker: on Club Shay Shay, he had his first guest since moving off of Fox with Stephen A. Smith.
Speaker: And they got into basically why Shannon left.
Speaker: And surprisingly, it was more about the disrespect than I thought it was going to be.
Speaker: I figured that that was the catalyst to start it.
Speaker: But I actually, in my mind, I figured they would reconcile off air and kind of just
Speaker: Call it and let it go.
Speaker: But it seems like that's not what happened.
Speaker: According to more on the podcast, Shannon seemed to be like it was a full six months of disrespect, not just those one or two occasions we saw on air.
Speaker: So there was probably some more going on behind the scenes that we didn't know about.
Speaker: And that's what I figured, is that the whole story kind of wasn't out there yet.
Speaker: But Shannon decided, I can't do this no more.
Speaker: which is fair.
Speaker: You know, you don't ever, I think one of the things, you know, our time or day and age we live in, we're kind of starting to realize is like, hey, I don't have to work at a place to get a paycheck and be disrespected or treated X, Y, Z type of way.
Speaker: There's a lot of, you know, we're definitely in the age of like being free instead of, you know, being bound by a job.
Speaker: Oh, I can't go on this trip.
Speaker: I can't take no time off.
Speaker: You know, like that used to be like the way of life back
Speaker: You know, I'm just thinking about the early 2000s.
Speaker: Our parents probably, you know, you'd have that parent that never did anything.
Speaker: Why?
Speaker: Because he could never be off.
Speaker: And their job controlled their life.
Speaker: So, you know, it's good to see people are taking charge of their lives.
Speaker: And Shannon Sharp, even though he's a millionaire who's not financially struggling or whatever, you know, he doesn't need that next paycheck to make it like some of us do.
Speaker: It's still good to see that he's still fighting for what he believes in.
Speaker: He's still representing what he believes in.
Speaker: And the money doesn't matter how much money he's making.
Speaker: He's going to do what he's not going to lull on his morals.
Speaker: So it's definitely been an interesting summer with that going on.
Speaker: Shannon Sharp kind of was feeding a little bit us here and there on what he might do.
Speaker: But going to ESPN, that's definitely a shakeup.
Speaker: But how do you feel about him going to ESPN?
Speaker: Same thing as you.
Speaker: I didn't see it coming.
Speaker: Well, you kind of saw it coming, but you heard the whispers about him going to ESPN or going to first take, and it was just like, will it work, kind of?
Speaker: And then, you know, then you come to find out it's not the full time.
Speaker: He's just going like two days a week, kind of like Michael Irvin.
Speaker: And then it was like, okay, but, you know,
Speaker: Shannon Sharpe's outspoken.
Speaker: Stephen A. Stephen A. is a star.
Speaker: Like, you know, he demands his, you know, his respect and stuff.
Speaker: Would it work?
Speaker: And then with that interview that they did on Club Shea Shea, it seemed like they jelled.
Speaker: They're a lot closer than I thought they were.
Speaker: Like, I don't know.
Speaker: You know, like I figured like he did spend a few times on first take, but I don't remember Stephen A. Smith being there while Shannon was there.
Speaker: It was mostly like he Shannon Sharp was filling in for Stephen A. So I didn't know they were as close as they were.
Speaker: And then come to find out that it had to do with some with I knew it was more than just, you know, the bickering and fighting between Skip and and.
Speaker: Shannon, because he was talking about like, I feel like Fox didn't they didn't like the the way that he was taking over the show kind of thing, like his, you know, his personality, you know how he is, you know, with the cigars and drinking and all that.
Speaker: I don't think like some of their their CEOs or whatever, they weren't really vibing with that, you know, which I don't understand because that's what was making it.
Speaker: Everyone wanted to watch it.
Speaker: But now you got two alpha males in the same arena.
Speaker: It's going to... Honestly...
Speaker: First take, I mean, it's pretty good, but I stopped watching it just because Stephen A and Skip were, or Stephen A, Shannon Sharp and Skip were doing Undisputed, and Undisputed was way 10 times more interesting to watch now than it was with first take, and somehow first take still maintained to be the number one sports talk show in all the sports talk.
Speaker: So now they got the two out.
Speaker: Like, don't get me wrong, people love Skip Bayless, but everybody loves Shannon Sharp.
Speaker: So him going to the first take now, it's just makes first take like it's going to be hard for them to for Undisputed to overthrow first take.
Speaker: Yeah, I agree there.
Speaker: And like the new dynamic on the show on Undisputed, like Skip doesn't talk as much anymore.
Speaker: He's more like the moderator.
Speaker: So like he kind of chimes in here and there.
Speaker: But I feel like without Skip talking, you lose.
Speaker: kind of the presence of the show.
Speaker: He still is, regardless of how you feel about him, he still is a dominating presence in the sports world.
Speaker: And a lot of people still tune in to hear what he has to say about the things that they talk about.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Regardless of what you might, you might've got tired of talking about LeBron and the Cowboys.
Speaker: It works.
Speaker: You know, people want to hear that stuff.
Speaker: People like what he has to say about LeBron.
Speaker: People like to hear what he has to say about the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker: So it,
Speaker: There was a method to his madness is what I'm saying.
Speaker: So what I feel like, yeah, he's the chef, but the dynamic between him and Shannon was so perfect.
Speaker: You can't recapture that.
Speaker: Even when I was watching Stephen A and Shana Sharp, I was like, this is good, but this is not Skip and Shana.
Speaker: No, because Skip allows you to be yourself.
Speaker: Like, you know, like you go on these, like if you watch talk shows and shit like that and you see like how some people, they'll take another personality, but it's like, I'm the personality.
Speaker: You're just, you gotta adapt to me type thing.
Speaker: Where Skip is like, no,
Speaker: We're going to argue about these topics.
Speaker: You do whatever hell you need to do to bring your A game because I'm bringing my A game.
Speaker: And like it was perfect chemistry for them to like, I understand like, hey, man, like I said, some things, you know, they just they meet their ending.
Speaker: You know, something perfect can't last forever.
Speaker: So maybe that was the thing.
Speaker: It will be interesting to watch, like I said, Stephen Ains and Shannon Sharp go at it.
Speaker: But Undisputed was perfect.
Speaker: And if they can, you couldn't, you can't change, you can't, there's nothing to replace it.
Speaker: No matter if Shannon Sharp and Stephen Ains is not going to duplicate it or intensify, make it 10 times better.
Speaker: That show undisputed between those two, those two personalities was match made in heaven and it's going to hurt.
Speaker: But at the end of the day, you know, we we've got to adapt and, you know, like I said, first take is not going to be dominant.
Speaker: There's there.
Speaker: It's it's.
Speaker: It's almost like Kevin Durant going to the Golden State Warriors.
Speaker: It's like Stephen A can be LeBron and carry a team to the finals just because it's Stephen A or Skip Bayless.
Speaker: But it's not going to be compared when you have arguably the two premier faces in all sports talk.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: And I feel like the replacements that Skip got were good.
Speaker: They were solid, especially Richard Sherman.
Speaker: That was a perfect
Speaker: pool but they're still just not there's just shannon sharp's charisma is just off the sharks and even richard sherman who's a very charismatic person in himself i mean we've seen him beefing with skip all those years ago and that stuff and he's highly intelligent too so he like highly but he's but it's not it's not the same dynamic so
Speaker: It's kind of you give the perfect comparison.
Speaker: It really is like Shannon is KD and he wants to go on state.
Speaker: And now they're about to be 73 and nine.
Speaker: And it's a sweep.
Speaker: It's a sweep.
Speaker: And I watched Undisputed all last week to just to kind of like get it.
Speaker: I was like, this is good.
Speaker: This still is really good.
Speaker: But I was like, that's not anything compared to... But it looks like, honestly, they traded Shannon like... It looked like a trade.
Speaker: Yeah, it did.
Speaker: It looked like a trade, and it was like... Basically, it was like ESPN got Shannon Sharp, and then...
Speaker: FS1 just got like a bunch of players like a whole bunch of draft picks like they got what's her name Rebecca she used to do NBA today the redhead chick I can't remember her name Rachel or Rebecca yeah she was on there
Speaker: some other uh african-american chick i can't remember her name and i don't want to butcher it and then like i said you got richard sherman well richard sherman did he was on nfl uh or thursday night football that was on network michael irvin michael irvin was espn all day every day and then you had um keshawn keshawn was on
Speaker: key Y whatever in the mornings.
Speaker: So it's like, it's interesting to see.
Speaker: Like, I feel like it was a trade off.
Speaker: Like it was like, Hey, give us Shannon sharp.
Speaker: And then you guys can have all these bums.
Speaker: Like they're notable names.
Speaker: Like, don't get me wrong.
Speaker: I shouldn't say bums.
Speaker: Because they're not bums.
Speaker: They're highly profiled analysts.
Speaker: But it's just like, we'll give you all these people that we're about to lay off anyway.
Speaker: So you can have all these people.
Speaker: And we'll just take Shannon Sharp off you guys since there's beef between there.
Speaker: And it was interesting to watch the interview because it was like Stephen A. Stephen A noticed it and notified Shannon Sharp about it.
Speaker: And he was like, how the hell do you know this shit?
Speaker: And I don't know this shit.
Speaker: type shit.
Speaker: So that's why I think it's not just about the beef between the altercations that happen between the two incidents that happen between Skip and Shannon.
Speaker: I think it had to be the network as well taking like, hey, you're growing too big for this show or you're doing stuff that like
Speaker: tolerance level like you're we allow you to be up here but now you're going up here with it and we don't we don't like it type shit so they're they were trying to strain the leashes a little bit and they were trying to choke his ass out and he was like nah like I can't change me and if you can't handle it let's just go our separate ways yeah I agree I like I said I I thought there was some behind the scenes stuff as well and it does seem like there was
Speaker: some more and who knows it could be more behind the scenes bickering between Shannon and skip I mean it could be Fox it could be a lot of things so but I'm happy for Shannon and I'm happy for you know every to everybody because at least these everybody got a job in the end everybody got a job so and that's all we really can uh ask for it in a situation like that but it is going to be different
Speaker: I'm sure Shannon's going to go around and do other stuff besides ESPN, too, since he's only doing like two days a week.
Speaker: I think he's focusing on Club Shea Shea.
Speaker: Yeah, that's going to be his main thing.
Speaker: But it's good to see, you know.
Speaker: And I wish Shannon Sharp the most success he can have and Stephen A and everybody.
Speaker: But the sports world definitely got shook up.
Speaker: But it's been a sports heavy talk episode, so we're going to end on some little bit of sneaker news, but if you guys don't know sneaker day is coming up on the sneakers at.
Speaker: This is kind of a new thing that they just started.
Speaker: Where they're going to basically do a big restock of shoes that have come out, there are some heavy hitters in their first ever.
Speaker: release of the Sneakers Day.
Speaker: There's supposed to be some Travis Scotts in there.
Speaker: Yeah, there's supposed to be a lot of stuff.
Speaker: I've even heard some off-whites and possibly there's going to be a huge amount of drops.
Speaker: Sneakers Day is officially at it.
Speaker: So it's going to be a timed thing.
Speaker: So for who isn't aware, yeah, there are off-whites in there.
Speaker: The Off-White UNC 1s 2018.
Speaker: We already have.
Speaker: Yeah, we already have.
Speaker: So, yeah, there's a... So, Sneakers Day is going to be a big thing.
Speaker: And they do drops by time.
Speaker: So, like, at 9 o'clock, this shoe will come out.
Speaker: Then 10 o'clock, you can get this shoe.
Speaker: 11 o'clock, this shoe.
Speaker: 11, 12 o'clock, this shoe.
Speaker: So, it's a full day of stuff.
Speaker: And they have a lot of heavy hitters.
Speaker: I'm trying to see what actual day.
Speaker: I think it's September 9th.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So, yeah, it's coming up actually here in four or five days.
Speaker: Yeah, a week or so.
Speaker: So if you're a shoes person, this is definitely going to be a big day for any reseller, any sales.
Speaker: I'm trying to get a full list of the shoes here that they have releasing on sneaker day.
Speaker: So I got the Air Jordan 1 Royal Make Japan.
Speaker: Trash.
Speaker: Dunks.
Speaker: I'm not a huge fan.
Speaker: Kind of like that dingy jean look.
Speaker: We got the Nike Air Footscape Woman Cow.
Speaker: Excuse me, Woman Cow.
Speaker: Those are trash.
Speaker: Some Nike TN Air Max Pluses.
Speaker: Trash.
Speaker: Platinum.
Speaker: You're probably the off-whites, Travis, and I'm hoping they redo... I know they did it a few days ago, but I want them to redo it again as the Kobe Grinch 6s.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: I heard that the Sneakers Day is going to have some Kobe 1s in...
Speaker: That's all I need.
Speaker: I need either give me the retro like the top brand like the either the cool gray 11s the what else blue gammas they dropped the blue gammas it's over I'm like I don't care
Speaker: Like I will fight somebody for those motherfuckers because those I wanted those back in like I think they came out in like 2016, 15.
Speaker: And I was like literally on that on the goddamn computer, like refreshing like 15 million times and I couldn't get them.
Speaker: So I'm a little mad.
Speaker: And then it's like the up even resales for those.
Speaker: It's like six hundred dollars.
Speaker: Like, come on, man.
Speaker: But the blue gammas.
Speaker: Which I think they're releasing what the Columbia whites.
Speaker: Yeah, so right now the only confirmed shoes, so they haven't released a full list and they normally don't until the day of.
Speaker: So like, if y'all don't know, it's like Sneakers Day is a huge deal.
Speaker: I know we didn't cover it last year, but like this is like basically all the good shoes that have come out over like the past year or so, they basically drop them.
Speaker: So this is like your chance to get stuff you missed.
Speaker: But right now the only thing confirmed is the Laney ones, which are those
Speaker: Those are pretty nice.
Speaker: Yeah, those are pretty nice.
Speaker: The OG9086 USA Air Maxes, the Cement 4s, which I don't know what's going on with 4s, but is every colorway going to be white, red, and black?
Speaker: How many times can you do white, red, and black on a 4?
Speaker: These don't look any different from
Speaker: The red cements.
Speaker: Yeah, the red cements.
Speaker: Yeah, I don't know what's going on.
Speaker: The Terror Squad Air Force One whites, those are tough.
Speaker: Those are super tough.
Speaker: Some LeBron 20 premiums.
Speaker: I like the LeBron 20s.
Speaker: They kind of remind me more of the older style LeBrons, but they're pretty clean.
Speaker: I'm trying to see if there's anything else, anybody.
Speaker: got confirmed for a sneakers day.
Speaker: They need to see what they need to be doing on these ones is be dropping like retros, like, like your LeBron South beach.
Speaker: What was it?
Speaker: The nines.
Speaker: They need to just, they just had a re-release of those.
Speaker: They needed to re-drop the, uh, I, if they were going to do anything that I liked this year, those infrared fours were hard.
Speaker: I fucked with those.
Speaker: They're kind of looked like the, uh,
Speaker: Wolf grays.
Speaker: They look a little bit like the wolf grays, but the gray on the top is a different color.
Speaker: But then they have like a wolf gray, like light gray on the bottom.
Speaker: Or they need to drop like the Mamba 9 Gumbo Leagues from like the All-Star back in 2014.
Speaker: Those were tough.
Speaker: Those would be tough.
Speaker: Yeah, I see some Travis Scott ones.
Speaker: The reverse lows.
Speaker: It's
Speaker: I'm trying to see.
Speaker: This looks like a more complete insider list.
Speaker: A lot of ones.
Speaker: They got some mid, the shadow ones.
Speaker: Why do I keep coming out with those?
Speaker: Those aren't that great, the shadow ones.
Speaker: They act like people like those.
Speaker: It's because of the neutral color.
Speaker: Everybody can love wearing ones.
Speaker: If you just provide a black and white or a white-black, you know they're going to sell just because you can wear those with anything.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I was just never a fan of the shadow ones.
Speaker: I always felt like
Speaker: That was pretty close to a team Jordan.
Speaker: I felt like I see a nigga with a shot at one, but he got some team Jordan's on.
Speaker: It's just like the shatter backboards or the reverse.
Speaker: I was like, yo, that's just like who really wears black and orange like that?
Speaker: Like, I don't know anybody that really wears black and orange like that unless you're like a Cincinnati fan or, you know, something like that.
Speaker: Or it's like around Halloween time, but nobody really wearing orange like that steady.
Speaker: Yeah, no, no, not at all.
Speaker: But yeah, there's a good bit.
Speaker: But sneakers day is September 9th.
Speaker: And it's going to be big.
Speaker: So if you're a sneakers person, be prepared.
Speaker: Get your app ready.
Speaker: Make sure your account's set up.
Speaker: Make sure you've got a payment available so you can just hit checkout.
Speaker: Those are some key tips for y'all.
Speaker: I'll give y'all some.
Speaker: These are A-B's tips to acquire shoes on sneaker app.
Speaker: Have your address and billing information pre-filled out.
Speaker: You cannot go to your checkout and have any type of delay.
Speaker: So as soon as you hit, I want these shoes, you got to be able to pay and go.
Speaker: Make sure you have your size too.
Speaker: Have your size pre-selected.
Speaker: You can go in the sneakers app and put your size in already.
Speaker: So then when you hit buy, it will just pick that size shoe if you want.
Speaker: Three, good internet connection.
Speaker: Surprisingly, don't be in no area where you got one bar.
Speaker: Or if you're on Boost Mobile, go home.
Speaker: If you're on Boost Mobile or Cricket, go home.
Speaker: Your shit's trash.
Speaker: Go home.
Speaker: Go home.
Speaker: Get on some internet so that you can actually get processed through the thing.
Speaker: And three, and this one's kind of, I don't know if it's real or not, but I close out all my other apps and just only have sneakers open.
Speaker: And the reason why I do that is because I feel like I don't want any other processes to allocate resources to anything else.
Speaker: I want everything processed to sneakers.
Speaker: So I just shut all other apps out.
Speaker: It may not do anything, but that's just one of my things that I've seen sometimes work and sometimes it doesn't work.
Speaker: I, unfortunately, probably the last four pairs of shoes I've tried to get off sneakers, I've not gotten them.
Speaker: I was going to say, you're taking some L's.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm taking some L's.
Speaker: But I've taken some W's.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Remember, I got them Travis Scott's.
Speaker: You did.
Speaker: Yeah, so that.
Speaker: You did.
Speaker: I ain't trying to shoot you down.
Speaker: I'm just saying, man, be humble.
Speaker: No, so, but those are some tips for y'all.
Speaker: Once again, sneakers day is September 9th and starting at 9 a.m.
Speaker: Eastern time.
Speaker: So wherever you're at, make sure you're ready accordingly and try to get yourself some shoes.
Speaker: It's a must.
Speaker: I just wish, like I said, if there's certain shoes, I'd be like, oh, I got it.
Speaker: I got to get.
Speaker: But if there's some of the ones you listed, I was just like, I could skip out on those.
Speaker: I could skip out on those.
Speaker: Yeah, I think the biggest thing with Sneakers Day is like, you don't know actually what's coming out.
Speaker: Like, they'll give you some
Speaker: hints of what they're dropping but they always throw in some random stuff in there so it's just kind of one of those things where you gotta just stay kind of glued to your phone all day to be like oh is this coming out maybe this coming or you hear like oh those came out at 10 30 so just just be ready y'all the thing that'd be the thing that'd be irritating me about sneakers apps is be like i'll be on instagram and then be like oh snap sneakers just
Speaker: Just dropped.
Speaker: Just dropped.
Speaker: And then you go onto the page and there's nothing on there.
Speaker: My sneaker app is just like, nope.
Speaker: Yeah, you ain't getting nothing because we ain't even going to make you even think that there's something on there.
Speaker: There's no notifications.
Speaker: How the hell does all these people, when they do do these drops, how the hell do these people know that they're dropping until it's too late?
Speaker: Twitter.
Speaker: There's a...
Speaker: So when I was really big into the Yeezy stuff, there's a Twitter account called Yeezy Supply.
Speaker: And they were like, they knew, they must have been like Adia's employees or something.
Speaker: Because they knew everything about Yeezy.
Speaker: When they were going to drop, what stores they were going to be available in, what online stores they were going to be available in.
Speaker: But I'm sure there's a whole bunch of stuff for like Nike and stuff like that.
Speaker: So it's like, because you know, these sneaker people be having insiders.
Speaker: But I feel like what they're trying to do is shock drop to prevent people with bots.
Speaker: And I mean, I get what they're trying to do, because if they don't know the shoe is coming out, they can't stage their bots as easy as they used to do before.
Speaker: If you know a shoe was going to come out at 10 o'clock on Saturday, you have all your bots preset up to log in the sneakers and buy a whole bunch of shoes.
Speaker: But if they don't know when it's coming out, they just kind
Speaker: shit out of luck and so like i get what they're trying to do they're trying to keep you know shoes in the hands of people who actually want them and aren't just trying to resell them but yeah you gotta help a brother out man i'm saying i'm just give me a notification like hey sneakers new sneakers just drop all right cool let me oh snap okay let me but you just doing some black ops just dropping something and like if they find them they find them if not like
Speaker: I like I'm busy as fuck.
Speaker: I like it, but I want some new shoes just like anybody else.
Speaker: But I don't have time to just be on sneaker app like all day, every day.
Speaker: Like, you know, just refresh, refresh, you know, to be doing all that.
Speaker: So that's the thing to be irritating me.
Speaker: I just wish you could just give me a notification like, hey, interested in this shoe?
Speaker: bam all right cool let me and then like increases my odds so you know at least give me a chance to get in the fight you know you just yeah blind lead in the blind like it's like dropping an apex with no jump master yeah when you're a jump master afk you know you don't know where you're going to land but all right y'all well that's all we got for you for the opener uh we hope you enjoyed this episode and we hope you guys had a good summer
Speaker: Hope everybody was safe and sound and we hope you're enjoying your Labor Day weekend or depending on when you're listening this, I hope you had a good Labor Day weekend and you stayed safe.
