00:00:30
Speaker
It says, I can do all things through Christ who gives

Speaker
My hope today is that you will, after hearing this podcast, have an I can do mentality.
00:00:41

Challenges of Unrecognized Effort
00:00:54
Speaker
You know, we often hear about the importance of being consistent in our pursuit of success.
00:01:00
Speaker
But what happens when no one else seems to notice or applaud our efforts?
00:01:06
Speaker
You know, it can be tough, right?
00:01:07
Speaker
It can be hard when it seems like you're in it all by yourself and there's nobody pushing you or patting you on the back or no one there to encourage you.
00:01:16
Speaker
That can be difficult.
00:01:19
Speaker
You're on a stage and you're pouring out your heart and soul into your craft.
00:01:23
Speaker
You're giving it your all.
00:01:24
Speaker
But the room is dead silent.
00:01:37
Speaker
In these moments, it's easy to feel discouraged and question your abilities.
00:01:42
Speaker
But here's the truth.
00:01:44
Speaker
Consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you.
00:01:49
Speaker
Yeah, that is the time that you have to learn to clap for yourself.
Self-Encouragement and Internal Validation
00:01:56
Speaker
In first Samuel 30 verses six through eight, David, the Bible says he was greatly discouraged because his men, his people, his tribe had thought of stoning him because they were grieved because they were going through.
00:02:11
Speaker
And I don't know if you've ever been there before, but sometimes people can blame you for their pain or take their pain out on you.
00:02:17
Speaker
And so the Bible says that in the midst of this, David encouraged himself in the Lord.
00:02:25
Speaker
The truth is, each one of us possess extraordinary abilities and talents.
00:02:29
Speaker
You know, we've all overcome numerous obstacles.
00:02:32
Speaker
We face challenges head on and achieve milestones along our individual journeys.
00:02:37
Speaker
So why should we not be our own cheerleaders?
00:02:42
Speaker
When we become our biggest fans, we unleash a newfound confidence within ourselves.
00:02:48
Speaker
We become more motivated, determined and relentless in pursuing our dreams.
00:02:53
Speaker
We even unleash the power to envision a future filled with success, happiness and fulfillment.
00:03:01
Speaker
We begin to trust our instincts and believe that we have what it takes to make a difference in this world.
00:03:06
Speaker
And you got to know that that you have what it takes to make a difference in this world.
00:03:12
Speaker
And that starts with being your biggest fan.
00:03:17
Speaker
Be your biggest fan.
00:03:20
Speaker
Celebrate your victories.
00:03:21
Speaker
No matter how small they may seem, recognize your progress, even if it's just a little step closer to your goal.
00:03:28
Speaker
Remember, it's not monumental.
00:03:33
Speaker
Life is one on steps and stages.
00:03:36
Speaker
The Bible says a good man steps are ordered by the Lord and he delights in his way.
00:03:42
Speaker
You see, even if it's a little progress, that's some progress.
00:03:46
Speaker
And what I want to encourage you to do today is not wait for the validation from others because true validation is what comes from within.
00:03:57
Speaker
You see, this is the time in your life
Private Growth and Consistency
00:03:59
Speaker
and in your journey where you got to embrace self-praise and self-encouragement.
00:04:04
Speaker
And this doesn't mean belittling or disregarding the accomplishments of somebody else.
00:04:10
Speaker
It's not what I'm saying.
00:04:12
Speaker
It means that we can appreciate the achievements of others while valuing our own.
00:04:18
Speaker
We can celebrate their successes as inspiration for our own journeys to greatness.
00:04:25
Speaker
You see, consistency requires an unwavering dedication of resilience and self-motivation.
00:04:33
Speaker
It's about showing up day after day, even when the applause is absent, because sometimes, you know, just like that person standing on that stage and you're saying a lot, but the room is saying nothing.
00:04:45
Speaker
You've got to remember that true motivation and inspiration comes from within.
00:04:54
Speaker
The greatest achievements often happen behind the scenes away from the spotlight.
Strategies for Consistent Motivation
00:05:00
Speaker
know, it's during those moments of solitude that great growth and transformation actually occur.
00:05:06
Speaker
Literally, God will get you ready in private to prepare you for public.
00:05:13
Speaker
Remember, it's the private discipline that brings the public reward.
00:05:18
Speaker
So you may be saying, how then can we stay consistent in clapping for ourselves?
00:05:22
Speaker
How can I be my biggest fan when I've had no fans, when I haven't had the support that I've needed, when at times I don't even feel as confident or courageous as I need to be?
00:05:34
Speaker
Well, here are a few strategies I feel will help you along the way.
00:05:38
Speaker
Number one, set clear goals.
00:05:41
Speaker
Define what success means to you and break it down into manageable steps.
00:05:48
Speaker
Having specific goals in mind will give you direction and purpose.
00:05:52
Speaker
It will give you something to aim at.
00:05:57
Speaker
Number two, create a routine.
00:05:59
Speaker
You want to establish a daily routine, literally a daily plan.
00:06:03
Speaker
Like what are you going to be doing each day?
00:06:06
Speaker
You know, what is it that you're going to be accomplishing each day?
00:06:09
Speaker
These are steps that are also trackable.
00:06:13
Speaker
That align with your goals.
00:06:16
Speaker
You see, consistency thrives on structure.
00:06:20
Speaker
So you want to build habits that support your progress.
00:06:25
Speaker
And then number three, find inner motivation.
00:06:30
Speaker
You know, discover what truly drives you.
00:06:33
Speaker
You got to tap into that passion and then let it be fuel that keeps you going, even in the absence of external validation or recognition, because sometimes it won't be there.
00:06:45
Speaker
Sometimes you've got to be your biggest cheerleader.
00:06:50
Speaker
Number four, because you're worth cheering for.
00:06:54
Speaker
Come on, I'm here to tell you.
00:06:59
Speaker
Number four, celebrate milestones.
00:07:02
Speaker
You got to take time to acknowledge and celebrate your progress.
00:07:07
Speaker
When we celebrate even small victories, it can trigger a release of dopamine in our brains, which gives us a sense of pleasure and satisfaction.
00:07:17
Speaker
Dopamine is often referred to as the feel good neurotransmitter because it plays a crucial role in motivation, reward and reinforcement.
00:07:27
Speaker
So you've got to acknowledge and celebrate your progress, whether it's treating yourself to a small reward or reflecting on how far you've come.
00:07:36
Speaker
These moments of self of celebration will boost your confidence and it's going to keep you motivated like it's going to give you that, you know, to keep on going and keep on growing.
Embracing the Journey with Self-Commitment
00:07:47
Speaker
And then lastly, I would say number five, always have a why.
00:07:53
Speaker
why is so critical because when when your what gets tricky or cloudy or unclear or hard then your why is what can get you back up again when you get knocked down your why is the thing that can keep you going when you remember why i got started why i'm doing this right make sure that you have a clear why that you can articulate
00:08:19
Speaker
And that can help to motivate you to be your biggest fan.
00:08:24
Speaker
Consistency is not about seeking validation from others.
00:08:29
Speaker
It's about honoring your commitment to yourself.
00:08:33
Speaker
You got to treat yourself right.
00:08:35
Speaker
Embrace the journey.
00:08:37
Speaker
Embrace your process.
00:08:38
Speaker
Embrace the applause that comes from within.
00:08:44
Speaker
I want to thank you for joining us today on Mixing It Up, and I hope that this podcast has ignited a fire within you, reminding you that your unwavering dedication and self-belief are what truly matters.
00:08:55
Speaker
Keep clapping for yourself, my friends, and don't ever stop shining.
