My new book has just come out. It's called 'BUMWIPER- 18 years working with people with disabilities'. And today I'm going to tell you one of the stories that's in this book.

This is my story of trying to save a man with brain injury and psychosis from ending his own life.

Be aware. This episode contains depictions of suicidal behavior, suicide, violence, blood, and a little bit of gore.

📌 BUMWIPER is more than a book—it's a deeply personal story of working on the front lines of disability support and the lasting impact that caring for others can have on those who provide that care.

📌 For 18 years, I worked directly with people living with intellectual disability, physical disability, acquired brain injury, emotional disability, and dual diagnoses. Those experiences shaped my life in ways I never expected.

📌 While still working in the industry, I began writing this book. Years later, after experiencing Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), the story took on an entirely new meaning. This video is one story from the book.
