Comedian Freddie Arthur returns to Mads World for a chaotic, hilarious and very unfiltered conversation about the Australian comedy scene, men in comedy, group chat scandals, touring disasters, sex clowns, clown college, Airbnb nightmares and what really happens behind the scenes at comedy festivals.
In this episode, Maddy and Freddie unpack the weird world of stand up, from male comedians offering unsolicited notes, to comedy group chat chaos, to the mysterious Melbourne clowns allegedly sleeping their way through the scene. Freddie also shares the story of accidentally booking an Airbnb in Brisbane that turned into a full blown horror film, plus the reality of touring, performing, making content, dealing with chaos and trying to stay sane while doing comedy across Australia.
Funny, feral and full of gossip, this episode is for anyone who loves stand up comedy, Australian comedians, behind the scenes creator stories, chaotic dating adjacent chat, female comedians, internet culture and deeply unhinged stories that somehow all connect back to clowns.
Listen now for comedy gossip, touring horror stories, Mads World chaos and Freddie Arthur being an absolute menace in the best possible way.
