Speaker: This is Skipper Albert A. Wall, the voice of the jungle, broadcasting on the DVC to all points unknown. If you're within the sound of my voice, you're listening to Welcome Home Podcast on the DVC.

Speaker: Music Music

Speaker: Hello and welcome home. This episode of Welcome Home is brought to you by DVC Resort Market. Thank you for joining us on episode 368 of Welcome Home, a Disney Parks and Vacation Club podcast. I'm Tom here with Trevor. How's it going, Trevor?

Speaker: Hey, pretty good. um You know, I realize we've spent a long time talking before we actually started this episode. No. More than usual. Yeah. More than usual. Yeah. um yeah I mean, so we kind of we kind of went back and forth on this, Trevor, on what we're going to reveal as far as the tease goes. But um I don't even know how to say this. We we have something coming up. that We have something big coming up. Yeah.

Speaker: I'm going to say... By far, ah this is the... we're We're going to be doing an interview with somebody that's very famous for for in the Disney world.

Speaker: And Trevor and I are both extraordinarily nervous about this. Okay. So nervous and excited. Oh, I've never been more excited for anything I've ever done, I think, in in this on this show than than this.

Speaker: Yeah, but that's why I'm so nervous. This going to be a milestone for sure. Yeah. um If we ended the show after this interview, I'd feel i feel probably okay about it. like yeah We did it all. We're done. It's good.

Speaker: Yeah. yeah um Not that if we're going to. I'm just just saying. um But I think it's good to maybe frame it for people that – or or so So not related to the interview, but just the the next couple of weeks, just timing of this. Yeah. We're not going to have our regular release schedule for... So this this episode obviously will be, you know, regular, but um the next week or two might be a little off just because of things that are going on. So...

Speaker: Yeah, so we're we're not going to have another episode until 28th, want to say, after this. Yeah. so Yeah, that sounds right. yeah It is possible that this interview that we're going to be doing it will come out prior to the 28th, but there it's what we're going to have to see how it goes. It's a time. so Yeah.

Speaker: What I will say is we're not go to have a regular episode on the 21st. So on September 21st. So don't look for an episode on that date. We're not going to have a date. We're not going to have one for that date. But we will definitely have be back to our regular schedule on the 28th. And then maybe sometime in between there. This this interview that we were teasing ah is something that will be released as a standalone.

Speaker: um So because it is ah it's going to be fairly long. So, and you know, you're saying interview. I don't know. Or, I mean, it it is an interview, but yeah, we'll we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping like a lot of our guests on the show, it just, it turns into to just a conversation, but we'll see. i'm I'm hopeful of that as well, um because I want this person to be my new best friend. But um yeah, it's awesome. I'm going to learn the word parasocial, everyone. Yeah. We're not going to tell you guys who it is, um but it's somebody that if you... get Yeah, I mean, listen, we we put this out in the Discord when it first started. i just want to say, so this was... um I've been working on this for a couple months now and wasn't sure if it was going to happen. Mm-hmm.

Speaker: there was a lot of there was a lot of quiet time um in between and everything just kind of came together in the past week or so here. And ah um i what I will say is the person that we're going to be interviewing is is kind of, I mean, one of my Disney idols. And so for me to get to do this, and I know Trevor, you feel this way too, um but I don't want to speak for you, but it's um it's that's why we're both so nervous and also so excited because we're excited to talk to this person. We're also just Very nervous about it because it is it is someone we really look up to and and and really like. so This person is definitely on ah on a short list of like, I want to say that I'm not like one to go chasing celebrities. Me either. Yeah. Even though that's the most, but yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, but, but I mean, like, like that, that was like a, you know, you know, just kind of a happy accident thing. But I feel like there is a very short list of people in my view that it's like, yeah you know, meaning like actors and stuff. It's like, yeah, you know, that's cool. But it's like, there are some people that's like, wow, this person is like in another stratosphere for me. And yeah. And it's hard because it's like you have to yeah or you have to not let the myth eclipse the fact that you know this is a person that we're we're we're talking to yeah we're talking to. So, yeah it's yeah. It's going to be cool. It's going to be going to be an experience.

Speaker: However pans out, we we don't know, honestly. And i think that's why we're nervous is that we're like... we really want this to go well, but we have to just kind of let it play out how it plays out. Yeah. Yeah. yeah And so, and, and I, you know, I'm listen, I feel bad about teasing this to everybody, but I I'd rather it's more fun to just let it unfold and and you'll find out about it. Now, if you were, if you're one of our patrons and you're in our discord, you already know about this because we did, I did reveal this after it happened. Cause true, you know, frankly, I couldn't keep my mouth shut about it. Um, I mean, I'm just being honest. I couldn't, I couldn't keep it in any longer. I had to tell somebody besides Trevor and my wife.

Speaker: Um, so, and I, I should say, sorry, just to that. and I know you messaged me about it and I was like in the middle of my work day and I didn't respond immediately. And then, and then I know you were like sharing with everybody on discord and I was like, wait, what? Like, like, You saw the discord before you saw my message. i did actually. and And I was like, i was like, oh geez. Okay. This are, yeah. So yeah.

Speaker: um But yeah, listen, so keep an eye out for that over the next couple of weeks. It is going to be a video interview. So we will, that will be out on our YouTube. And of course we'll blast it out there to everybody when it's out there. So you can, you can check it out yourself, but,

Speaker: Needless to say, Trevor and our minds are um on this interview coming up and we're we're so we're we're a little distracted, I would say. yeah Yeah, I mean, I think rightfully so, but yeah but we still do have an episode to do, and we still do actually have... We have things to talk about. yeah you know, we we we can come back to this. like You know, we need to... I think we need to breathe.

Speaker: It's actually kind of killing me that we're not revealing this. This is this what's killing me. Which is why we should change the subject now so that you don't accidentally just just do this. Just do it. let it hang out there. Let's... Let's talk about... um is this interview going to be cooler than when we talk to, you know, ah Winnie the Pooh? I mean, when we talk to Jim Cummings? I think so. Yeah, I mean, this this is on that same level. like I think this is above that, to honestly. I mean... For me, anyway. Yeah,

Speaker: Yeah, fair fair. I agree it is for me, too. It's above that. But I I'm not trying to diminish the fact that, you know, I really enjoyed that we were able to talk with Jim Cummings as well. So it's not a competition. the show This was like 10 years ago. here Yeah, talked yeah this this was forever ago. Yeah, it was. It was a really long time ago and we had very limited time with him. This particular guest, we have a very long time to talk to. So it's going to be great.

Speaker: But but in the meantime, yeah we should talk about some festivals. All right. I guess if we have to. well Well, there's, I mean, we we have dates and details for the Flower and Garden Festival. Really just dates, right? Like, we don't have a whole lot of details, right?

Speaker: I mean, well, yeah, fair. There's always new stuff. Like, they're always, you know, you know they they kind of tease all the... Yeah. ah You know, there's going to be the usual stuff, the topiaries, there's going to be various people at Garden Rocks and all that. I will say, i feel like we just came out of Flower and Garden Festival and it feels like next really early for them to be announcing this, right? Yeah. Yeah. A little bit early. Well, people, listen, people plan their vacations, you know, far ahead. year in advance. Yeah. there And so, you know, it's good for them to to to know when these things are happening. So it's been announced that the International Flower and Garden Festival for next year will be from March 10th to May 31st.

Speaker: um So we've got that. So if you want to go to the Flower and Garden Festival, March 10th to May 31st. I think I've gone to Flower and Garden more than I've done Food and Wine. I mean, yeah, I think that makes sense because of just when you when you travel, it just ends up being during Flower and Garden, which yeah for me, like I feel like I've done Festival the Arts a lot.

Speaker: But that's because do crazy because it's only six weeks. Yeah, but but we do tend to travel in like January, February time frame. So it does yeah work out for me. Right. So, yeah. Yeah, I mean, listen, i Flower and Garden to me is like Food and Wine Junior, right?

Speaker: Like, you've got all the food booths. you don't I mean, it's not as much, and it's not as much about the food as it's about the Flower and Gardens. But it's like, you know, it's it's like Food and Wine with, ah you know, better ah better things to look at, you know? Yeah. Pretty flowers and all that stuff. Right. But it's you still get all the food boosts and all that fun stuff. It's more of a more of a diverse package, I feel, is what it is, because because you do get the food and wine stuff. But then also, yeah, like you said, you know, that there's the the flowers, there's butterfly gardens, all that kind of stuff. Same kind of thing with um Festival the Arts, I feel, that it's like like food and wine, you know, the the the name itself implies like food and wine is the front center of it.

Speaker: But these other festivals are very, you know, you know they they offer other things on top of the food, which we we also should mention, too, that Festival of the Arts is running from January 15th to March 1st. So I guess we are in September, so it's not that far off.

Speaker: Yeah, it just it just feels like we just talked about it. It's all right. Yeah. Yeah. so exactly yeah So, yeah, you know, early, early dates for that, which is, is fine. Yeah. You know, good. Again, like you said, good for planning, you know, you know, anybody that is planning into your, or your early next year trips. Um, yeah.

Speaker: good to know about. ah The other... or Sorry, is there anything else on that before we... probably should have just done sequentially the Festival of the Arts, which is first, right? it so now what why Why do we need to do that? I know. Festival of the Arts, though, will be January 15th until March 1st. The interesting thing about this...

Speaker: To me, Trevor, yeah I mean, like, look there's not a lot of information still, but it's the and no joke. This is what it is. The 2027 Epcot International Festival of the Arts presented by Disney Larkana trading card game. I don't know how many words that is, but it's a lot.

Speaker: um But Disney is sponsoring its own. Yeah. Festival? is Sponsoring its own festival with with its own thing? I mean... I guess? I guess it's a different part of Disney sponsoring something, which, again, is weird. that that right It is, right? Yeah. But but I feel like...

Speaker: Okay, I'll give it a bit of a pass just because of the fact that Lorkana is very art heavy. Yeah. like Like, you know, it is a trading card game, but people look at it. It fits well with this festival. It does. Yes. Yeah. A lot people look at it for the artwork and the people who do the art for trading cards.

Speaker: I see where it makes sense for, you know, it being a sponsor of sorts of the the festival. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I guess technically Disney doesn't own Loricana, right? It's it's ravens Ravensburger that does.

Speaker: Right. I mean, they collaborate, obviously, with them, and they use their characters. It's just a little weird. It's it's it's like, you know, it's it's like, ah you know, the the food Epcot International Food and Wine Festival sponsored by Frozen 3.

Speaker: You know, like, it's just kind of it's just kind of weird. like Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But, but again, like to your point, I actually just looked this up. So, so, you know, the the way that it's phrased is, you know, Walt Disney company owns the characters and creative rights used in Locana, but the game company Ravensburger produces and publishes the card game under the official license. So I feel like yeah because it's this other, or it's Ravensburger that's, that's doing it.

Speaker: Um, It's their sponsorship, even though it even though it says Disney Larkana on the on the label. It's yeah, it's a weird gray area. Right. Like it's yeah because I don't think that the frozen analogy quite works here. or that that I guess it would be say like saying like before Pixar got folded into Disney, like having a Pixar show.

Speaker: funded thing it's probably more akin to like you know the food and wine festival presented by hasbro star wars collectible figures you know it looks like so you know what mean like where it's like okay disney's involved but also not really but they are but it's but again it i actually don't have an issue with this really i'm just making fun because i think it's kind of funny but um yeah I actually think it's a good fit as far as sponsors go. Um, because yeah like you said, I mean, those cards are works of art and, and they, they, you know, we'll have, uh, all these different artists do each one of the cards and there's just really incredible things on these cards. And I think that's part of why they've become such a thing, you know?

Speaker: Um, but anyway, Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, so yeah, that's lots to to look forward to for planning. In the same vein, you know since we're talking about stuff in 2027, you put on here the 2027 Disney After Hours. I did do that. ah Information, which this is, i am interested in this.

Speaker: I will say that. course. Because. That's why i put it on there. Yeah, because we are planning a trip and i know er I guess for the the weird thing is the time that we're looking at going, there will be Christmas parties going on.

Speaker: But or i was hoping maybe that like the Christmas parties are great, but I also do very much like the after hours parties as well because they don't like it's that same kind of vibe as the Christmas parties, but without all the hype.

Speaker: of the Christmas party, if that makes sense. yeah Yeah. Yeah. And also though, i they, so they definitely sell more tickets for the, the, good like the Christmas party and the and Halloween party than they do for after hours. Cause like you can still wait in some lines and it during during the parties, you know? Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. But yeah, that's true. Yeah. Yeah. that Just by nature of the, the Christmas and Halloween parties, they they are just busier. The, ah the after hours parties. And actually I'm just looking at the dates now and I'm, i'm they Yeah, they only go until August, so. I should have known better, but, because, yeah, because obviously, yeah, once the Halloween parties start, those take over.

Speaker: Yeah. But there will be dates going all the way from January 11th to July 19th is what they have on the list here. For Magic Kingdom specifically. The other parks go further than August. Oh, I Okay, yeah. I see. They split up by park. Why do they do that? I wish they would. know. Well, I mean, there are individual parties for each park, right?

Speaker: I guess. Yeah. guess. I guess you're right. There should be parties every night that I'm there. Yeah, that's right. Whenever you schedule it around me. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. that That's how this should totally work. do you you want You would want to do after hours for Epcot anyway, though, so you could just keep writing Guardians over and over, right? Like, that's really what you want to do. That's actually cheap yes and no.

Speaker: I mean, yeah, definitely. i feel like Guardians justifies an after hours party for me, but I still lean towards the like the the problem with the the after hours parties is that it's not just about me riding as many rides. It's also like the overall experience for everybody in my party, which. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. Which, you know, like I said, my wife doesn't do those rides and stuff, but, you know, she would definitely enjoy an apricot after hours party as well.

Speaker: But I still lean towards the Magic Kingdom ones because there's just so much. Yeah, there's there's so much potential to it. Whereas, like, I don't want to go to an after hours party and just ride one ride on repeat. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, like I didn't do, I haven't done an after hours party, but I did stay Magic. I was, you know, back when they used to do the, um you know, extra magic hours, I i stayed in Magic Kingdom until, until um you know, two o'clock in the morning. And once you get to like 11 o'clock, the you know, the place really kind of thins out. And so we rode Big Thunder over and over and over and over. yeah Like, I think we rode it like five times, like easily, probably more than that. But it was awesome. Like everyone was in like such a fun mood that people like clapping and cheering and singing. And it was just it was fun, you know, and it's it's a similar kind of thing. It's like you're, you know, you get to ride these things over and over if you want to or, you know, you can do a bunch of different things. Just kind of depends on what you want to do.

Speaker: Yeah, I think i think the the the big thing about Epcot, though, versus Magic Kingdom 2 is Epcot is more spread out. Yeah. Like that there's, it's true.

Speaker: Like you can get a lot done in, I want to say like, like honestly for, for after hours parties, I put it at magic kingdom, Hollywood studios, and then Epcot would be my prioritization because both Hollywood studios and magic kingdom, like there's enough stuff going on. um magic kingdom just ekes out Hollywood studios a little bit right now, but that'll, that'll change with Monstropolis and everything.

Speaker: I'm surprised you're saying that because you've been like kind of down on Hollywood Studios lately. It's, it is changing. But, but yeah just from an after hour standpoint, I feel that, that the big detractor with Epcot is that, like, I'm looking at the list of rides and it's like, oh, like, you know, you know, Cosmic Rewind's on there. You can do Ratatouille. You can do um Grand Fiesta Tour, Living with the Land. It's like,

Speaker: There's so much walking between all of those. That's lot of walking, yeah. Like, like more than than the other two parks, which is my only detractor from it, is that, you know, like, I know you were saying, like, oh, yeah, you just go for Guardians. Well, yeah, I i would get, like, you know, two or three rides on Guardians, and then, or or maybe I would ride it until I eventually got Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and then I would move on to other things.

Speaker: But... That's the one you want to go for? yes that... you knowt No, September but no september no no to me. No, no, no, no. Come on. No, no. If if you know, you know. For those that understand what I'm talking about. Listen, I'm just saying. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is the better song than September. September is the easy, obvious one. Yeah.

Speaker: Everybody Wants to Rule the World is just slightly different, and it has it has a different feel to it. All right. All right. I'm just i like if I think about songs that I want to have a good time to September's up there.

Speaker: You know, not that everybody wants to rule the world isn't, but it's just a little more. It feels like i'm a little more serious of a song, you know, than ah it is. But the the flying through space to it is. Yeah, it's a vibe. I can't explain that.

Speaker: I got to experience it on the first ride I did with my son and I've been chasing that high ever since. so I don't know why that's so funny, but it is.

Speaker: ah If you know, you know. like That's fantastic. I love it. I love it. That's great. But oh yeah, so so as far as after hour parties goes, they're all good. And yeah, yeah you know, they're They're there until the ah until the Christmas party and the Halloween party take over again.

Speaker: so Yeah. Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much. so But i listen, I'm not opposed to doing one of these. i would definitely check. The thing is, it's lost on me with my daughter being the age that she is, right?

Speaker: Like, they're they're kind of a moot thing for me because she's not going to stay up till, you know, 1230 at night. right Oh, yeah, right. Yeah, you are just out of that range. Because I was thinking, like, when my son was younger, we did it, but he was like...

Speaker: 10 or 11 and you're not quite there yet. Yeah, get me to almost teenage years and then I think I could be okay. and And listen, when we did the the Christmas party, she stayed up till midnight.

Speaker: I don't know how. Maybe just filled with sugar and adrenaline. I don't know. But, like, she did. But, I mean, even just like this past trip that we had, we tried to stay for Happily Ever After and she just was crashing. And that was 10 o'clock, you know. It was...

Speaker: Now, given we'd been in the park all day and stuff. So, like, if we did it as just the only thing we were doing for that day, then maybe we could make it work, you know? Yeah, that I think that's the thing with the after hours. Like, we we figured that out early on was that we we planned around, like, we would have, like, a quiet day. or we We actually planned, like, our water park days where it's, like, go to the water park in the morning.

Speaker: um Just go back to the hotel and relax for, like, days. the you know the the rest of the day and then head out to the park in the evening for the after hours stuff is really have how you have to handle it because the like you know christmas parties after hours all those like it's such a condensed amount of time that if you're not ready for it it's yeah you like it's very easy to crash by 11 o'clock when you you really should be going until one o'clock.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. yeah I listen, I, I will, I can see myself doing these someday, but just not now. I can't justify the cost right now. You know? Yeah. I, I feel like this is going to be the same thing as like from your, your last trip talking about like realizing like the, the attraction of the water parks and you know doing, yeah doing, doing these things that you haven't been doing. I think, yeah, I,

Speaker: I get why you haven't done them up until now, but I also know that, or i I know from my own experience, once you do these things and what, like when you get to that sweet spot with the age and everything, it's like, you'll be like, oh yeah, this is, this is so worth it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. yeah i Listen, I look forward to hearing your report on it. yeah Years from now. Yes. um Okay. Well, so that's, they just kind of announced a bunch of those things like it. And we just, I feel like we kind of had to cover them by the way.

Speaker: ah DVC members do get a pretty nice discount on this, which was a $30 I see here. Yeah. Yeah. The DVC discounts make it even more worth it. Yeah.

Speaker: Annual pass holders and DVC members save $30 per ticket. So that's pretty good. That's pretty nice discount. Now they're pretty pricey. The tickets, you know, but 30 bucks is not nothing.

Speaker: So. All right, Trevor. Well, I wanted to talk. It does matter. Yeah. When you're talking multiple tickets, it does matter. Oh, yeah, it's 90 bucks if i for my family, right? It's $90 off. So I did have the realization, ah i don't know, maybe last week that I was like, oh, man, next year's the last year that my daughter is a child for for Disney.

Speaker: we We bump up to adults after that, which is unfortunate. um But, you know, whatever. That's it is, I guess. yeah Yeah, that that ship sailed a long time ago for me. but is Yeah, I know. It's fine.

Speaker: It's fine. It's fine. Everything's fine. All right, Trevor. Listen, i we're you know we've been talking about Halloween for a while here, but i feel like we're getting closer, you know?

Speaker: so So are you saying if we talk about this stuff enough that then we can stop and move what What, from Halloween? From Halloween, yeah. no um No. Trevor, did you see what I bought for Halloween? Did you see did you see the video I put in the Discord?

Speaker: I did see the books, yes. Yeah. So I was at Lowe's. Actually, my wife sent me this. semi My wife likes to send me TikToks. I don't use social media. And so ah my wife will just send me TikToks of things sometimes. And I will go on.

Speaker: i I feel like such an old person talking about this right now. It's like, oh, I'll go on the TikTok and watch the video. Like, did you know that you can go on the TikTok? Can you watch them videos about the the books and things? You know, like, so there was this she sent me this TikTok of ah this Halloween decoration. That is, it it was, it's four books, right?

Speaker: ah That are Haunted Mansion things, right? You know, it's all Haunted Mansion stuff. And there's a sensor on it or there's also a button. And then when you push it, the two middle books ah kind of come out a little bit.

Speaker: And then they go back in. And then, you know, one of them kind of tilts out. So they're like haunted books. And they play the, you know, they play, um the you know, Haunted Mansion music. And so ah my wife sent this to me. She's like, I want this. And I'm like, okay, fine.

Speaker: And I just happened to be at Lowe's with my daughter. And my daughter's like, can we look at Halloween stuff? i was like, yeah, sure. Why not? And we walk over there. And sure enough, there are the books. And I was like, well, I got to buy these now. because you know my daughter's gonna tell her that we saw these cool things there and then I if I don't get them she's gonna like why didnt you get them you know like yeah so yeah my daughter also wanted there was a like full-on animatronic stitch dressed in like a Halloween costume that was like $200 and i was like yeah no um we're not We're not doing that.

Speaker: um But yeah, they were pretty cool. But anyway, this is about Halloween costumes, Trevor. Yeah, which I feel like we've seen Halloween costume blog posts in the past, but this is far more extensive than ones.

Speaker: These are some pretty cool costumes, I have to say. Yeah, there there is. OK, I need to say this on the very first one. So so there's this this infant Ewok costume, which looks incredibly cute, but at the same time, looks incredibly photoshopped or like. The face looks photoshopped into it. Yeah. Yeah. It does.

Speaker: That being said, it's an adorable costume. It is. Yeah. Like it it looks, it looks like something out of the movie. It really does. But it's also just very, it's just very cute.

Speaker: Yeah. Like it's got the feet and yeah, it's, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like this would actually be a great costume for, like, kids in my area, like, because... Warmth.

Speaker: Yeah, it's it's a very warm costume, and by Halloween, you want a very warm costume, so... Yeah, by you, for sure. yeah Sometimes down here, it's 80 degrees out for Halloween, so you never know.

Speaker: um But, yeah, i so my daughter, for some reason, decided this year that she was going to be a deer for Halloween. Okay. I don't know why. So she's wants my wife and I to be other forest animals. Right. And I, so I was like looking stuff up. Right. And I found like, there's all these like really cool inflatable costumes, you know, like that. are Yeah. I've seen this. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: um And so I've been like looking at those and like my daughter's like, no, she's like, you're not doing that. Cause I, you know, she's like, I don't have one of those. So you don't get that. was like, okay. So was like, how about, ah can I be like a fox?

Speaker: And she's like, no. I was like, how about a raccoon? You know, trash panda. Come on, let's, let's do that. She's like, no, she's like, I want you to be a skunk. And I'm like, I'm not going to be a skunk. Nice. Like, why do I want to be i'm not gonna be a skunk?

Speaker: like Like, why do you want me to be a skunk? I find that particularly hilarious. Oh, she's hilarious. She's trolling me. Yeah, it it feels like it kind of goes in line with, like, Bambi as well. Yeah, you know, I can see that. Flower, right? Yeah, sure. But I'm not going to be i'm not going to be a raccoon. I want to be...

Speaker: I mean, not a raccoon. A skunk? I want to be a raccoon. Or, like I said, like a fox or something. I want to be something cool. A carnivorous woodland creature, not skunk. Yeah, maybe a bear. Like, can I be a bear? Like, be a bear. Yeah, you be a bear.

Speaker: yeah Yeah. No, I can't do bear. She said no to this. So... I like that you're letting your daughter dictate um the the theme for the Halloween costumes. Truly a mistake on my part. what What happened ever since we did the Spider-Man thing we did a couple years ago, now she just expects us to do themed costumes as a family every year, and it's just like...

Speaker: It's a one-time thing kid. Can we actually really wasn't. I mean, the frozen one we did, we've actually done theme family costumes every year. Now that I think about it, this is our vault. We've got to stop doing this. yeah I mean, i did used to like, I bought multiple costumes over the years. Same thing. Like, you you know,

Speaker: I actually had a bear costume at one point now that I think about it. um Same ideas, just, yeah you know, for Halloween. And i think, again, I did it with my son up until he was about 10 or 11. And when he was more interested in going out with his friends than like us doing Halloween together. So I know, i know you're talking about like, you know, you regret your decisions, but it'll stop eventually.

Speaker: and then you'll have all these costumes that you don't know what to do with. Well, that's another problem, right? Yeah. It's like I have the pirate costume that I wear on the on the ah cruise ship for pirate night. I just sitting in my closet and it's taking up space and it's like I just and i just saved that for when we go on cruises now. just You never know when you're going to need a costume.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Because I go a little too hard for Pirate Night. I'm not going to lie. um I will say that, you know, as I've said before, i'm ah I'm a casual Star Wars fan, not a huge Star Wars fan. However, if I were to buy a Halloween costume that was Star Wars, I would buy this Jawa costume because I like this Jawa costume.

Speaker: ah It's a kid's Jawa costume, unfortunately. Well, listen, if they had an adult version, I guess I should say. that That doesn't really work for Jawas, though. That's true. Because those they're not tall. I'm not that tall, though. Yeah, but Jawas are not tall. that is You know, and it's a fair point.

Speaker: But yeah I like the fact that it comes with the glowing eyes, you know? You can have the glowing eyes. yeah Well, I mean, it has to, right? Like, that's... yeah I mean, you can't... Yeah, you gotta have the glowing eyes, right? ah This Boba Fett one is pretty cool, too, actually. Yeah.

Speaker: yeah Complete with a little ah gun. a little... don't know. What is that? A little Nerf gun? Yeah. Yeah. it looks like a Nerf gun. It's probably not even a Nerf gun. I'm guessing it's probably just like... It just has like the sound.

Speaker: Sounds in it. That's it. But yeah. Again, pretty nice. um and actually doesn't say in the description that the gun comes with it. So there you go. um There is... What is this? This is a Chewbacca dress.

Speaker: Oh, come on now. This this should put Chewbacca in just like, in in quotes, Chewbacca. Yeah. like Like, I get what it's doing. I get, you know, it's it's themed and, you know, it has the bag and everything, but it's, it's for, okay. So just, you know, cause it's an audio medium.

Speaker: um ah It's basically just a brown shirt, brown skirt and some fuzzy, you know, things that you would put on top of it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty much.

Speaker: Which, okay, cool. Yeah, sure. And then immediately after that, you have like a full Darth Vader costume. not This doesn't look like a cheap Darth Vader costume. Oh, i just I just pulled it up. Do you want to do you want know how much it costs, Trevor? This is the Primalux costume that you looked up?

Speaker: Yeah, you want to know how much it costs? Yeah, let's get a guess. I'm going to guess it's between, I feel like I'm on the prices, right? This is going to be more expensive than you could possibly imagine. It's between $425 and $475. $1,200.

Speaker: twelve hundred dollars ah yeah Whoa. Yeah, I was shocked by this as well. Whoa. Yeah, that's why am I buying this for Halloween? That's that's a bit rough. If I told my wife I was buying a twelve hundred dollar Darth Vader costume, I think I think that would be grounds for divorce. I just know. You know, you see that this this is not a Halloween costume. This is what you buy if you're planning to do a circuit of Comic-Cons. Yeah. If you're doing cosplay. Yeah. Like yeah this is.

Speaker: Yeah, it's this is a hardcore costume. That is crazy. 1200 mean it's got a lot of pieces though to it i guess i mean it's got the cape it's got the helmet it's got like all the stuff and it seems like it also has the voice box in there too i would assume for 1200 it better have a the belt and chest box light up but and project vader's famous breathing sounds so okay All right.

Speaker: Every inch is designed with high quality plastics. When I think of, but you know, twelve hundred dollars, I don't think of plastics even if they're high quality. But that's either in or there. I mean, like the the design of the Darth Vader costume is very plasticky looking. if That's true. think about But yeah. But I see where like like there is a difference between like you can see like something that's like cheekily molded and you know you know mass produced versus like i feel like like these shoulder pads would not break under normal circumstances like it it seems like it's again very high quality very very solid costume and yeah it better be for 1200 because if i yeah if i same as you yeah good i was just gonna say same as you like

Speaker: if If I put money down on this, like the conversation, like, okay, hear me out. well like it' So wait a second, hear me out.

Speaker: um Here's the thing, though. If I got this, I would need someone walking behind me at all the at all times playing the Imperial March, right? Like you kind of have, you have to have that. Nope. If that's not built in, as I mean, for $1,200, it should be built in.

Speaker: You're not buying this unless you have people in Stormtrooper costumes. Right. That's the other thing, right? Like yeah that's, yeah. Are they selling that? Because i I would, I'd almost rather be a stormtrooper. I don't know why. i just feel like but you know.

Speaker: i i have done the stormtrooper thing in the past, but like the the cheap costumes do not do it justice. Yeah. Fortunately. So, yeah, I get the reason for the price behind these, but it's still just so far outside of my wheelhouse. There's an instructional video of how to put this on.

Speaker: that's on the listing okay so so we're not buying the darth vader one but we should move on there there is a bunch of toy story costumes here which are more more in line with what you would expect for like common costumes right so so there's a buzz one here which doesn't look too bad it looks like uh it's too loose i feel like like on yeah on the legs the legs look weird Yeah, well, I think a lot these are like, I assume these are like things you would buy off of Shop Disney. I'm not expecting like theater grade costumes for like buying off of Shop Disney. Well, should because this is a $150 costume, so.

Speaker: That's ah pretty steep for what that is. Yeah, there's also a Zerg accompanying costume there too, so. Oh, of course they didn't show that. No, no Zerk. But there's Jesse. That one looks cool.

Speaker: Yeah, Jesse's an easy one, I think. Like, it's yeah it's it's a pretty easy costume to do. I i do like the Slinky Dog one. The Slinky Dog one's cool. yeah I think that's cute. Although although this is like this is a recipe for fighting amongst siblings, i feel like. Yeah. of Who's going to be the butt. Well, and just the light like, whoever's in the front is kind of leading the other person around. And yeah, you know, just, yeah, it doesn't, I would never buy this costume for my kids. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. Thinking about how I was with my siblings growing up, it was like, this would have just been a fight. Yeah, I get that. I get that. still um Yeah, no, for sure. um There's a lot of these, so i don't want to go through all of them, but um there's there's like a cool kid's stitch one. There's, of course, Spider-Man. ah There's, you know, an alien, one of the little aliens from Toy Story. So, of course, there's a Dr. Doom one, although it's pretty basic.

Speaker: It's a kid's one, but it's just like a cape and a mask. Yeah, it's not even like... Yeah, you're right. Yeah, it's just the cloak and mask, nothing else. High quality plastic masks. It's only $20, so I can't complain that much for this. Yeah, you can't be mad for That's a cheap one.

Speaker: you know Yeah. um Yeah, and then there's some adult ones too. Although I haven't seen this the Disney Descendants Wicked Wonderland costumes and I'm wondering why my daughter... If my daughter knew ah this existed, I feel like we would probably not be doing the wildlife one that we're doing. But, you know.

Speaker: Well, you you know you have a fallback plan, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, exactly. um any Any other ones you want to mention before we do our ad and then talk about a few other things and then get out here? Yeah, no, i I think we're good. Oh, there is a Stormtrooper. There was? I didn't see one. It's a kid's Stormtrooper costume. Oh, yeah.

Speaker: There's that. Yeah. Yeah, this list goes on forever. Holy. Yeah, that's what saying. Like, let's let's move on. Yeah, fair. Yeah, yeah, we we can move on from all right, let's do our ad. And then we got a couple other things.

Speaker: all right. So we got ah ah some more of the super colorful merch, which I did look at when I was at, you know, when I was at the parks. And it is even more colorful, Trevor, in person than it is on the screen. Yeah. I was going to say, we we had talked about this before, but I think it was just the initial like launch. they got more now.

Speaker: Yeah. Okay. So there's more. i got a couple more colors. More on the menu for for your particularly favorite color. I guess, is there anything in this that you feel is like, or, you know, seeing it yourself, like you said, it the the color is much more, much brighter and all that. But I'll be honest, I don't know if any of these are like catching my eye in a way that I'm like, oh my gosh, I need to have this.

Speaker: Yeah. So we we did talk about this before, Trevor, but this was, ah you know, yeah they they added more stuff more colors, I guess. Right. Yeah. so So I guess my question is like, OK, so you said like there's there's the like the green and the blue and everything. Is it, I mean, one, I don't know if there's anything in here that's really catching my eye, but is it that they added, is it the red and the white? I think it's the red and the what the what they're calling Main Street USA, which is like ah it's like a dark burgundy color. It looks just like red to me, but yeah, I guess it's maybe more of a burgundy.

Speaker: but Well, it's they have the brighter red and then the darker red contrast kind of thing that they're doing. so Oh, I see. Okay. Yeah, yeah. so And then they have this storybook soft serve, which is like cream colored, essentially, I would say. Cream and gold.

Speaker: White, i guess. yeah Yeah. Yeah, para cream. they They call it cream. They call it cream. So... Yeah. yeah Those are really the only two new ones there. I'm really not interested either. im so I was surprised my wife didn't want anything, honestly, when were in the parks. But yeah, it's ah ah I'm curious. This line feels like it has a lot of potential, but I feel like they just haven't hit it yet.

Speaker: I don't know. No, no. Yeah, I would agree with you. ah Well, okay. I mean, continuing our merch thing, Trevor, I guess. Yeah, we're just on a merch kick right now, I guess. yeah There's not a lot of parks needs at the moment. So, you know, sometimes you end up talking about merch. And we've been talking about like Christmassy merch for holiday merch, I should say, ah for a while. And they just put out some more, which I'm pretty sure we've seen this pajamas before. Family matching set pajamas. Yeah. javas if not these ones, that there always has been like a set of pajamas like this. So there's nothing like amazing about it. that It's pretty common patterning, I feel. or Yeah. It doesn't feel like anything I couldn't get anywhere else.

Speaker: Yeah, I would agree with that. I really only put this on here because I want this train. ah i figured I saw the train set and I was like, that's probably what you're after. once These rubber ducks are a weird choice. It's a whole thing with the ducks now, man. they're they've been making They have this whole line of rubber ducks now.

Speaker: I saw them all over the parks over there. Now, it is a thing on, like, the cruise lines to to hide ducks everywhere, but they're like you'd like they're like little cheapy ducks. They're not, like, you know, fun ducks like this. You know? Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. these These are very, yeah very bougie ducks. bouji ducks Yeah. these booja ducks yeah Yeah. I, I, I feel like this is one of those things where yea I guess if you collect them, that's fine. But it's like, if I bought this, it would be like, I'd put it on a shelf and I would forget that it exists.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. I, I get it. I get, I get that there's a, there's a place for this. It's just, I don't understand the, the rubber duck fascination. ah It's a thing.

Speaker: yeah It's it's a thing now. um i'm I'm mostly preoccupied with this this train set. But um

Speaker: hey see that that but because that's like actually something fun to set up and and all that. The rubber ducks are like, whatever look at rubber ducks. Yeah, and I mean, this is a train set that's actually like by, it's Lionel Trains. It's not like um a toy toy. It's by an actual company that makes toy trains, ah which is pretty cool. And I don't know if the, ah I'm trying to see. Oh, yeah, it does. Okay. So I was wondering if this the smoke stack actually worked and because they show it in the, they show smoke coming out of the smoke stack the image and it does actually work, which is pretty cool.

Speaker: Kind of need to have this. I must must have this. um Anyway, ah you know, I don't know. Is there anything else in here that's really kind of like... No, I'm not... like yeah Yeah, I'm not seeing anything that jumps out at me on this either. But, that you know, this is also very early, too. I'm sure there will be...

Speaker: or lots of other stuff. we'll We'll circle back on this later. For sure. And then, you know, as the holidays are coming up here too, we have ah some, some more people added to the candlelight processional host um list here. And, and Neil Patrick Harris, of course, is going to be doing it this year because he always does. And even, i don't know if you, I know you watched the D23 thing where he mentioned, he mentioned it in him like his like opening monologue about doing the candlelight processional. Yeah.

Speaker: which is funny. Yeah. Um, but there are a couple new, um, additions to this. And one of them is Robin Roberts, which is a, you know, that's, that's a good addition. I feel like, um, but do you know who Jason Kelsey is Trevor?

Speaker: No, I don't know who Jason Kelsey is. Yeah, no, that's why I wanted to ask you because I know you're not really into sports. And so and he's a pretty famous football player ah in you know in the US. So that's why was. But he's um he's a character, Trevor. I don't know how else to say it. He's he's kind of nuts.

Speaker: Um, so like, you know, at, I think it was at the super bowl, uh, when his brother was playing, uh, he, you know, got, had a lot to drink and took his shirt off and jumped into the crowd. Kind of crazy. That's what he does.

Speaker: Oh yeah. Yeah. I don't think that'll, uh, fly at the candlelight procession, although I mean, you never know, but honestly, if I were going to go to the candlelight processional, that's the one I would go to because it's bound to be nuts. Yeah.

Speaker: ah like you Just Google him and you'll find things. He's crazy. I'm surprised that they would get him on there if that's the case, because I feel like the Candlelight Processional is a very like controlled, specific thing, right? He's huge, though. He and his brother are huge. I mean, his brother's married to Taylor Swift.

Speaker: I mean. Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So, and they have like the number one sports podcast, too. So, like, they are. he he's a He's a huge deal. Okay. Yeah. yeah I'll take your word for it because I'm not involved in sports at all. yeah I know you are. And that's why I asked you. It wasn't like i wasn't trying to be like, do you like, you know, to give you a hard time about it? Because it was I just know you don't do sports. So, yeah.

Speaker: But like said, I just I find it interesting based on what you're saying about him that that they would put his name on the list for the candlelight processional without like. I feel like Disney is.

Speaker: Yeah. He doesn't fit the Disney brand. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like that they they they do filter. Like they don't just invite anybody. They're like filtering you could be on there. I feel like there would have to be a talk with somebody like that. It's like you can't do anything crazy here. Like this is this is what you're doing. Right. Like I mean there's going to be a talk and he's probably not going to listen to it. like All right. ah He's fun. He's really funny. He's, you know, in a lot of commercials now. And, you know, it's kind of it's it's a whole thing. So anyway, ah we also have and I never can say this person's name. Right. Trevor.

Speaker: I'm pretty sure it's Lisa. Okay. okay So she's she's also been added. I'm pretty sure, though, this is just so Disney can ah can ah promote the Hallmark movie that she filmed at Disney World that's probably coming out. Oh, right. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's very much a thing that that they would do. Right. I was trying to draw the line because, like, a lot of a lot of the ah the hosts, I mean, not all of them, like but it's like, you know you know, some of them, it's like, oh, they have, like, a relation back to Disney for some reason or another. And I was like, yeah.

Speaker: what is What has she been in? But yeah, yeah, the the Hallmark movie makes sense. Yeah, she did. they I'm assuming that's coming out this year. She filmed it last year. So I. I've I've been seeing stuff about it and guaranteed. but My wife is going to sit down and watch it. So I'll end up watching it at some point.

Speaker: but It's the whole Hallmark movie thing is, I mean, it's always funny. I, I, I under, I, I kind of want to watch this one just out of sheer curiosity and because it does involve Disney. So I kind of want to see what they do because I've always like really loved Trevor, like looking back on the old, like, like the nineties, uh, like, you know, TGIF shows where they all had to go to Disney, you know, at some point. Yeah.

Speaker: You know, they all have to take that different trip. The Full House episode for me is funny. like that's Yeah, that's a good one. because Because if you are, i I remember watching somebody did a breakdown of It was like how the things that they did and like how they were talking, they made it sound like they're like, oh, let's just go to Epcot. And like like the the way that they jumped around in a single day was like impossible. Like you you don't. You don't do what they were doing in the show, which is just funny to me. Yeah. I'm trying to remember all the like, because I remember the Boy Meets World one, I want to say. Wasn't there a Boy Meets World one? There was definitely Step by Step. Oh, no, there was a Boy Meets World. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, there was. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: And then there was a oh, gosh, there was a Step by Step one. ah I only really remember the Full House one. Like, none of the other ones stuck for me. It was just that one that I was like, this is insane. That's what I thought. I mean, and this has continued into modern day, though, too, because, like, Modern Family went to Disneyland. ah the The Goldbergs, that show, did Disneyland. Yeah.

Speaker: you know I mean, it's the Modern Family one, i i feel like they they did a better job of, like, realistically portraying it but because because it was all self-contained to just a Disneyland whereas like the the full house thing was like they were bouncing all over the entirety of the Disney property in ways that nobody ever would it's not possible yeah and then Stamos was busy uh filming uh music videos at Grand Floridian anyone know that reference and my right there was like a crazy stuff on that one You know what i'm talking about?

Speaker: so I thought he ah wasn't it there something with the Beach Boys in him? Yeah, it was the Beach Boys. Yeah, it's the Beach Boys. I don't know how many people know that, though. I remembered or I learned about it like way after the fact. Like I didn't realize what was going on at the time. But yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, it was the video for for Kokomo, right? Yeah. Yeah. Stamos is there playing something. Yeah. Like he does. As, you know, as he does. I just Googled this. and the You know how, like, ah people also ask a section of Google? The the people the people also ask, has why is John Stamos in the Kokomo video?

Speaker: Sorry. just know. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. we that That was. Yeah. That was a bit of a rabbit hole about Candlelight Processional. But. Oh, was that what we were talking about? um It was. Yeah. That's that's where that started. And then we started talking about Christmas specials because.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. That that new Hallmark movie and everything. Well, yeah but listen, like, there was that was a whole thing. I mean, that was a brilliant move by Disney in the 90s, but, like, it was it was always funny to see how they, like, how the individual shows did the different Disney episode that they had to do. You know what I mean? Yeah.

Speaker: Like, I'm pretty sure it was, like, a corporate mandate that they had to do one episode there. but Yeah, I remember hearing something about that where, like that like, yeah, basically as part of their, like, seasonal planning, it was, like,

Speaker: oh, you you know, you you have to work this into a narrative somewhere. but But again, like I said, the thing that always got me was, again, after the fact, looking at it, that, you know, the the you know I understand that I only had, like, certain booking times. Like, like they they would, like, go somewhere and was like, we have, like, you know, a couple hours to do a thing here. So, they you know, they they would do whatever they needed to do and then move on to the next thing.

Speaker: But it's just funny how how it doesn't actually reflect... like Like now that we know so much about how things work at the parks, or yeah you know, the media around is much more exposed and, yeah you know, we could talk about it.

Speaker: It's just funny how like unrealistic the ninety s like like they could have or I don't want to say they could have, but i feel like they could have taken time to like think about it a little bit more.

Speaker: But I think that they were just like, let's just go to Disney and, you you know, let's just film and we'll figure it out later. Like that's kind of what it felt like. Yeah. yeah So, but going going back to what we were talking about, the Candlelight Processional narrator lineup is pretty solid this year.

Speaker: They, I mean, yeah pretty much every name on on this list is somebody I know. There's like one person I don't know. That's literally it. The rest are people that I know, which is pretty impressive because a lot of times they have, you know, they have some couple fringe celebrities in there, but this year they got a lot of good people.

Speaker: h Not that I'm going, but you know, if I were going. Yeah. Yeah. It's, yeah. It's, it's not like, yeah. Yeah, same for me. It's not I'm going to actually be able to like see any of these, but, but I guess it's also like you do see the clips of it afterwards or, you know, people will sometimes post bits and pieces from these different presentations. And yeah, like you said, a lot of these are, you know, people that I would, i would expect to see doing candlelight processional.

Speaker: Yeah. All right. So let's, let's wrap it up here, Trevor, with one more thing. Cause we'd love to talk about patents. Yeah. Okay. Do you want it you probably don't have to wreck the speculations.

Speaker: No, I wasn't going to play it, no. Okay, fine. Did you want me to? I can. No, you know I thought you were going to, but... Yeah, we can just talk about the patents. I mean, I'm never going to say no to playing reckless speculation.

Speaker: I guess, is it really reckless speculation or we just... No. Okay. No, it's not at all. I like that we're just talking to you. Yeah. All right. Do we want to just go over what the patent is? I don't even actually understand what this means. So so I actually don't either. i I, by the way, I was thinking to myself yesterday as I was writing this, i was like, kind of feel like we need ah a patent song. Like I need to come up with a new song for patents, like a patent talk, you know, like we need to have a segment around this. Yeah. um Yeah. But anyway, uh,

Speaker: So, yeah, so I'll read this. So Disney receives patent for themed drones that can change their performance in real time. Like you, Trevor. Does that mean? I'm not entirely sure what this means. So let's see here.

Speaker: It basically... allows for them to change their performance in real time so the show stays synchronized. What what needs to change that needs to stay synchronized? I don't know. Okay.

Speaker: Okay. It says onboard show effects provided by an onboard or UAV supported show system components such as high brightness lights are dynamically adjusted in the new system platform to ensure the best show appearance to the audience while providing safer operations.

Speaker: The dynamic adjustments may involve selecting or generating a second script or B show in a contingent manner based on the current location or timing of movement of the UAV along a flight plan.

Speaker: So it's a B mode for drone shows? Interesting. Okay. so So I guess the implications of this, or I guess the way I'm understanding this is...

Speaker: If the, if, um, you know, a wind or something comes into play where drones are not, or they're they're not able to stay in position or they're they're not like, because, you know, drones, you can do like the mapping where like they go and sit in certain positions in the sky and generate a picture and stuff.

Speaker: But it sounds like this is an adaptive thing that if for whatever reason a drone's out of position, it doesn't just look clearly out of position. It has, like you said, it has a B mode where it will, you know,

Speaker: transform itself in such a way like that ah that it it blends in with the background or blends in with the larger show right which yeah yeah is kind of a weird thing that it's like I didn't know that was a problem that needed to be solved but I guess I guess it is or I guess like I do like a very like Disney perfection kind of thing right because it's like yeah yeah It says the inventors recognized that prior shows that made use of UAVs or drones were often lacking in quality or time synchronization because the UAVs or drones were typically controlled using a pre-programmed set of motions or cues, which resulted in loss of synchronization with show systems and or other drones due to wind or other external factors. So basically saying if it throws it off its program that it will pick back up and figure out it it doesn't it'll it can dynamically change to match the fact that it no longer is programmed correctly.

Speaker: Or has it lost ah contact with its programming? Or I think the other way I see that, too, is like, so imagine if you have like, you know, a large space that is basically like where you're projecting a picture.

Speaker: And if one drone is supposed to be, you know, at a specific location there, but for whatever reason isn't able to get there or is knocked out of it. Instead of it just running through its sequence of like, because like, you know, drones usually have like an LED or something on them, right? Where it's like, oh, you know, the LED is supposed to be green at this point, but it realizes that like if it's not in the zone, instead of it being, you know, a green LED, it changes to match the other...

Speaker: you know, surrounding LEDs or something, right? Yeah. That's yeah that's what I'm thinking is like, it like they're, they're, they're introducing intelligence that, yeah, you know, you know, factoring in all the real life things that happen, the drones can continue to, to project it or, yeah you know, do things in a certain way that doesn't disrupt the overall cohesion of the show or like,

Speaker: I'm envisioning like in its simplest terms is like, you know, you have a happy face and it's like if one of the eyes is out of position, you're like, what is going on here? Right. But then if another drone is able to fill in where the first drone moved out of position, then you wouldn't notice. Right. Yeah. So. This this says, this is yeah, so it said, Disney system, it says, wind or other weather conditions can cause drones to fall slightly to sink, potentially creating a disjointed effect as they attempt to catch up. Disney system would instead allow the drones to continuously monitor positions relative to one another and adjust the performance in real time, meaning it's not going to just go by its programming. It it can know where it is in relation to the other objects and then

Speaker: And then move accordingly. I mean, I think we've all seen drone shows, like videos of drone shows, where you see, like, a drone will die and just, you know, just all of a sudden there's, like, a dot a dot that's obviously missing. Or there's one that's, you know, behind so the shape is a little off when it first, like, takes place. This would ostensibly solve that.

Speaker: Which, you know, again, it's it's it's like a real perfectionist kind of thing going on here, right? Because it's like... Okay, if it like gets a little out of sync, whatever. But I mean, this is the kind of thing that Disney wants to make sure that they you know prevent, I guess. But all these patents around drones, Trevor, and I'm still not seeing any drones in the parks, it's makes and it's making me madder. The funny part is is that the picture towards the bottom is showing Tokyo Disney, which is just further like...

Speaker: no tom this isn't for you yeah not not for me i i also by the way this patent also mentions like uh attaching things to the drones like in the patent picture it's like a pirate ship like how cool would it be if you saw like a pirate ship just sailing across like behind one of the castles like that'd be so cool well or like yeah think like peter pan right yeah where the ship where the ship takes off with pixie dust right like that that would be an amazing drone effect you're right i mean they kind of I mean, they do that at Disneyland, but they like you can clearly see that Baymax is on a wire. You know what I mean? like You can see the wire and everything. Imagine if they could make Baymax fly, but have a drone that you couldn't see, and he's really just flying. That's what they could do with this, which would be very cool.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I, I've gotten so used to those like, yeah, like Baymax and stuff where it's like, oh yeah, that's just how it is. But yeah, you're right. They, they could, better besides the drone shows, yeah, drones could replace a lot of flying effects.

Speaker: Yeah. All right. Okay. That I didn't consider that. And yeah, I, I was, I was really trying to understand what that patent is talking about, but yeah, yeah.

Speaker: Makes more sense now. Yeah. I think that's all got this week. You want to yeah i should we finish it up? I, I think we should wrap it up because we've actually been, we've been talking for quite a long time and we still have lots more to talk about outside of the show, which again, will make sense when we, uh,

Speaker: But after next week, you'll, you guys will understand why we're, we're, yeah, why we're, why we're freaking out. Why we're being weird about this. it It'll make sense.

Speaker: But yeah, I just, I, gosh, I kind of forgot for a second we were doing it and I felt really relieved. Yeah. Yeah. This is why we needed to do the show is so we could distract ourselves for a minute. ah But yeah, we, we, we got lots of other stuff to talk about and, you know, we'll see how that all goes.
