Speaker: See, i don't I disagree with this notion that he has failed at Inter. I don't quite understand where this comes from. He's played the least amount of minutes of all Inter strikers, despite starting every single Champions League game. And if you go through those games,
Speaker: against City, he was working for the team, against Arsenal, same thing there. He had a goal and an assist and a penalty one ah against, I think it was, was it Severna Svejita? I mean, I don't think he's failed. I don't, I disagree with this. I think he he could have done better, of course he could, but You know, if you compare him again, if you look at the number of minutes he's played, I think he's played the least because he's also been been injured. He's played in the Champions League um and he's done so all right. I'm not, I don't quite get this notion that he has failed. I mean, you can stare at stats all you want, but Correa, what Correa has played, he's called the the every goal in assist came against Helas Verona. Like, I mean, would you? No, I disagree. I don't think he has failed. What do you think?
Speaker: um he's I mean, I wouldn't say failed, it's still a bit too early, but he's he's disappointed for sure, you expected a lot more from him. um you know he's He's played 15 games, he scored one goal in the Champions League, which was that a penalty, the goal in the Champions League? or was it it was a penalty yeah so yeah so he scored one goal a penalty um in 15 games and in seria 10 games zero goals one assist um 632 minutes in in in total so he hasn't played loads but he stopped like 652 is nothing i mean if you compare
Speaker: to Lautaro and these other ones. I'm just looking at the overall performance as well. He's he's not never really been much of a threat. 0 .12 expected goals for 90 minutes for a team playing like Inter. That's really poor. But if you also look at how he's used, he's used much more deeper. He isn't used as a tip of the number nine. He's used in the build -up phase, regardless of if he plays with Turan or if he plays with Alta which or if he plays with Lautaro.
Speaker: That's fair enough, but regardless, I think you know you're expecting more of a threat, more of an output, whether it's goals or if it's assists. He's only got one assist in Serie A as well. so i think there is we haven't yeah He's been a disappointment, but you know I did kind of expect this because i mean he's getting on now. you know He's 32 now, you know so he's goingnna be past he's going to be past his best.
Speaker: and We'll see you know how he does now in the second half of the season, whether he can push on and from here. and but so yeah I expected more. I didn't expect him to to be putting up numbers that he did in in Portugal, and but I did have question marks on him because of his age and also because he was actually quite disappointing last season. and that That was, I think, probably a little bit of a warning sign as well.
Speaker: I mean, he's played 232 minutes in 10 games in the Serie A. That's 23 minutes. a game, on average, in in the Serie A. I don't exactly know what else he's supposed to do. It's obvious that he's been saved for the Champions League, where he's played 400 minutes and five games, scored once and done two assists. And he's played against City Arsenal. like So i don't I don't see the problem here, to be honest. I really don't. I think it's um i given that there are games every three days, Inzaghi has clearly decided he wants to use Todimi more in the Champions League, and he wants to rotate. and
Speaker: you know, against Helas Verona he didn't get a minute. They won 5 -0 after 44 minutes and then the following week he did start in the Champions League. You know, I'm just going from, not just from the stats, just from watching him in the performances. ah either Yeah, so have I. He hasn't impressed me in the performances either, I have to be honest. He hasn't impressed me but he hasn't disappointed me either. But again, if you play 230 minutes in the Serie A across 10 games,
Speaker: ah most of those as as as a substitute in towards the end. I mean, I don't really know what else, like in the city, what else it can do. I mean, it's it's I want to wait and see. I think it's still too soon.
Speaker: um and Also, the role he has. Again, he doesn't play as the tip of the like the number nine. He plays in a much more deeper role. Yeah, I know. That's fair. But I mean, you know, what he's played five full games in the Champions League. He hasn't impressed me in those. I mean, all those gold and the two assists all came in the same game against Red Star Belgrade. You know, so is the the other ones OK? Couple of tough games. City and Arsenal. but But you have to work without possession. Yeah. Yeah. that You expect more from him. That's all I'll say.
Speaker: so I didn't like him against Leipzig. I was disappointed there. That I'll tell you. I thought yeah that was the game I wanted to sing more from. But Inter have struggled as well. Their strikers have not. Except for Turram, Arnautovic, Lautaro, Correa, none of them have been good. so there' There's been a problem there, for sure.
Speaker: um And and that but you know especially Lautaro, he's the captain of the club and he's he's looking so unfit and they've really tried everything to get him going. and you know So there has been a problem with inter -strikers. Hopefully they'll they'll sort it out and they'll start kicking into gear. And I think they will. i'm not So I'm not worried at all. I'm not worried about any of the inter -strikers. They're not just tiring me. I'm not worried about any of them. I'm not worried about Lautaro. And not to which I have zero hopes for. So I've given up on that. And if Correa can do what he did did against Helos Verona.
Speaker: in those types of games, God bless. But other than that, um I need to see Lautaro and Taremi kick into gear. That I do want to see. But I don't think he's been a flop. I don't think he can say that.
