craft. So get in, witches, as we discuss easy, low effort witchcraft.
00:00:40
Speaker
Also somebody, not Anthony or I, somebody that's visited recently left a monster in my car and it exploded. What? Monster smells like puke. I hate it. Oh no. But nobody's owning up to it.
00:00:58
Speaker
It has to be like, I mean, it's not just, it's not like you had like a ton of people in your car. You know what I mean? So there, it's a short list of people. Yeah. But yesterday we were like, when we took the puppy over, I heard something the other day, but I have like a dog cover that goes over the seat, like a hammock. Yeah. So I couldn't see underneath and I like, I peeked under it, but I didn't see anything.
00:01:22
Speaker
And yesterday Anthony was like, it sounds like a can or canister or something rolling around. And I was like, yeah, I couldn't find one the other day. I was like, you know, like I didn't look hard, but I did look. Yeah. And then as we're like both talking about it, we just hear a pop and then the immediate smell of monster. And we were like, what the fuck?
00:01:45
Speaker
Oh no. Yeah. And we didn't have any napkins or towels or anything with us in the Jeep, so my car just smelled like Monster, which to me smells like Sweet Vomit. I hate the smell of Monster. It's so gross. I don't...
00:02:04
Speaker
I never drank monsters before until I started working with the Marines. And so I've had- Are you eating prams too? Yes. I forgot to tell you about that. The red ones taste pretty great. But I have like the, there's like two flavors, a mango one with the skeletons on it.
00:02:28
Speaker
And there's like an orange one that tastes like an orange dream sickle thing. Those ones are good. Those are the only two I've tried. But I can't even imagine having that explode in my car. And they're huge too. It was like massive. Yeah, it was everywhere. Luckily, like the Jeep, it's all like rubber flooring. Thank God I was just about to ask that. Yeah. But like, oh, it smelled so bad. And there was so much liquid.
00:02:55
Speaker
That sounds awful. And it was like a plain sugar-free monster, so those ones stink so bad.
00:03:01
Speaker
I literally took a picture because I thought it was my brother at first and I sent it. We have a group chat. That's me, my brother, his wife, and Anthony. I was like, Tyler Randall. He was like, bitch, that's a zero sugar. It's not mine. I was like, oh. Oh, good to know. On to the next culprit. That makes sense. I was like Jessica and she was like, I don't drink that shit. I was like, who the fuck left this in my car? Yeah.
00:03:26
Speaker
It's not like I have a lot of friends, guys. Right. Yeah. The list is short. It's a very short list. Yeah. But anyways.

Low Effort Witchcraft: Integration and Accessibility

00:03:37
Speaker
What are we talking about today? Oh, we're talking about low effort, easy witchcraft, lazy witchcraft, if you will. Lazy, yeah. I went back and forth with the term low effort because I didn't want it to seem like, oh, here's just some whatever, you don't need to do shit. You should always put a little effort into it, right? Right. But being somebody with ADHD,
00:04:04
Speaker
sometimes we just need that like little bit of something simple. Yes. And then also to like, with certain things like certain rituals and even things that I've done, I like for instance, the last one that I did, I went outside on our back patio to do and just like by the time I got everything downstairs,
00:04:25
Speaker
Once in the back patio, I'm like, oh, I don't even want to take this back upstairs now, but I have to, like, for my altar. So it's just like being able to do some of these like low effort things. Yeah, not saying that you shouldn't put that intention behind it. But like, it doesn't have to be like all this extra shit.
00:04:44
Speaker
Yeah, and I like I haven't looked at your notes, but I know for mine, I tried to like put in some examples of things that you could do every day that take literally like no effort, like you're making a cup of coffee and you're stirring some cream in it, stir it.
00:05:01
Speaker
in the direction that you want to either put something in or take something out you know like things that just like this takes no preparation it takes very little thought process you're already stirring your coffee or tea or food or whatever it is like you're already doing it so you can just add a little magical to it too yeah absolutely yeah so
00:05:26
Speaker
I guess to start us off, maybe just saying like why easy low effort witchcraft is important. So we're not always going to be on a high. Sometimes life gets in the way. Sometimes our moods fluctuate. Sometimes we just might not have the capacity to think and work on
00:05:44
Speaker
To think and work elaborate spells, rituals, practices, etc. and that's okay. The last thing any of us want is for our craft to start to feel like a chore. So having some easy or like quote unquote low effort practices in your back pocket can help keep you connected to your craft without it feeling like it's too much.
00:06:04
Speaker
Remember that witchcraft does not require you to constantly be doing elaborate rituals and spells that take tons of preparation and energy. Witchcraft should be tailored to your lifestyle, your energy level, and your ability to work magic. So like don't set yourself up for failure by trying to do everything all at once all the time.
00:06:27
Speaker
Absolutely. We've discussed this so many times on our podcast between preaching about low cost ways to incorporate magic into your daily life or discussing things that most of us have in our homes that can be magical. This shouldn't be new information. We're just going to expand upon it. We're just reiterating it, leading it into you.
00:06:51
Speaker
So as we've said before, everyone's practice is going to look different. No two people are going to practice exactly the same. So not having the energy, the state of mind, or the capability of working elaborate spells or rituals doesn't make you any less of a witch. Life is hard and we aren't always going to have the time and the space to work daily magic filled with millions of steps and that's okay.
00:07:15
Speaker
And while having a perfectly curated magical space filled with books and crystals and statues is wonderful, and doing things like attending moots, meetups, and participating in shared rituals is amazing. And if you have the mental capacity for that, by all means do that. There's something to be said about lazy witchcraft. It is just as important and just as meaningful.
00:07:39
Speaker
and you know there are many reasons why and you know we've discussed this already and and we'll continue to expand upon it but um doing all the things and buying all the things it's so expensive there are a lot of shops out there like online especially that cater to earth-based religions and while i'm all about supporting small businesses it can get really expensive especially if you're just starting out and all you've seen online are these like tiktoks and instagram
00:08:08
Speaker
reels and Pinterest boards of witches who list everything under the sun as a must-need or essential item to your practice. And that's just not the case. Nope. Yeah. That's one of my biggest pet peeves. It really is because it makes witchcraft inaccessible to some people to tell them that, no, this is a must-have. You have to do this if you're going to practice. You don't.
00:08:35
Speaker
95% of what I do comes out of my spice cabinet, my backyard. I don't have a bunch of elaborate tools. I have things that I like like crystals that I purchase for myself because I like them but they're not a necessity for me to do witchcraft.
00:08:55
Speaker
Yeah. And so just to let you guys in on a little secret, you don't need any of that. You don't need goddess jewelry or statues, witch hats, clothes, a crystal embedded wand. If you want these things, that's totally fine, but you don't need

Everyday Items in Witchcraft

00:09:12
Speaker
them. And there are always ways to make much of what you need, if not all of it by hand, which not only saves you money, but it also makes your practice more meaningful
00:09:22
Speaker
doing it your own way and taking the chaos and any drama away from practicing with a group of people or having all these things and just doing something simple that works for you is the best kind of magic because there's only one essential tool in witchcraft and that is you and your intention so if you have that you already have everything you need.
00:09:44
Speaker
Yup. And I feel like we've said this so many times too before, but our ancestors didn't have the access to things like we do today. They couldn't go on Amazon or an Etsy shop and order all of these things. They used what was available to them in their own space. So I think that just proves that you don't need all of these things. These things aren't necessities to practice witchcraft.
00:10:09
Speaker
Absolutely. So some ways that you can prepare for easy low effort witchcraft, like something to remember here is just to keep it simple, which is build it into your schedule and keep it realistic for you. So some people might be able to do a daily practice for others that could be working your craft like once a month or once a quarter.
00:10:31
Speaker
If you set it aside a specific block of time within your schedule, then you know that nothing else is going to be scheduled during that time, and it lets you focus your intention on your craft. And something else you can do to help prepare you for these times that you either A, you don't have the time to do a whole bunch of crazy, elaborate things,
00:10:50
Speaker
Or B, maybe you have depression, maybe you have seasonal affective disorder, maybe you're just in a funk and you don't have the capacity to work all these crazy energy draining things. Prep when you can for these moments in time in your life. When you have extra time to spare or you're not feeling like your mental health sucks in that moment, spend that time doing things like working in a garden,
00:11:17
Speaker
preparing tea or other herbal blends or medicines, creating magical oil blends that you use in your practice.
00:11:24
Speaker
creating incense or washes or even like your own bath blends. You can pre dress candles or if you're someone that makes your own candles and you have a day and the energy to do it, create a bunch of candles to keep on hand for when you're ready to practice. Having these things that like, think of it as like your on the go food, like your snacks or like oatmeal packs or like a few meal prep on a Sunday, those like do the same thing in your craft to help make this easier for you.
00:11:52
Speaker
Some super simple things to remember when you want to add like easy low effort magic to your day is to make your everyday mundane magical. Cleaning alone can be so magical and you can also take this time to open your windows, clear out stagnant energies, smoke or sound cleanse, add protections, and whatever else like feels right for you. Something that we've talked about, I can't remember what episode we talked about this end, but like
00:12:18
Speaker
If you're applying makeup or moisturizer or anything like that, use the moisturizer or your foundation to draw protective symbols or schedules on your skin before blending it in. If you're already going to be putting on your makeup, like this isn't adding anything crazy to it.
00:12:34
Speaker
So with this one, just like self-care in general can also be magical if it's done with intention. And then choose foods or drinks that have correspondences that fit your intention. So doing this can give a boost to that intention with each bite that you take. Do what makes you happy and what brings you joy. Remember that you don't want your practice to feel like a chore. So if you are practicing things that make you happy, you're more likely to want to do those things.
00:13:01
Speaker
Something as simple as carrying a crystal in your pocket or your purse or wearing it as jewelry can probably be one of the most simplest forms of magic that you can do. Just hold it in your hands and just like really put your intention into the crystal before you put it on or before you put it in your pocket or whatever and that can help like add a little magical boost to your day as well.
00:13:22
Speaker
And if you're somebody who is really intrigued about the four elements and you really want to work with them, but you don't want to do anything elaborate, there are a lot of free or mostly free tools that you have already around your home that can represent the four elements. So for instance, the wand, which we have talked about, can represent fire and fire energy. All you need is a stick. And this could be something that you find on your walk. If you have access to any body of water, any sort of driftwood or anything like that would be a great
00:13:51
Speaker
free thing that you can pick up to use for this. An athame or ritual knife, this is used oftentimes to represent air and to work with air energy. You can choose an old worn out knife in your kitchen because it already possesses the energy of your home and your family in it, which makes it more powerful.
00:14:08
Speaker
I even saw him from Bev Gee from Exemplor. She said that even a cheap kids play kitchen knife or dagger will work. I'm like, this is perfect because if those of you have children, you probably have one of those toy kitchens, just borrow your little knife things. Perfect. Sorry, Timmy. Mommy needs the knife today. Sorry.
00:14:31
Speaker
Also, like you could use like a flat stone or rock to represent the element of earth and earth energy. And if it's a flat stone, it can also double as a place to burn a tea light or incense. If you don't have an incense holder and want to burn like loose or cone shaped incense, you can also even use a candle to hold stick incense. And that will double as your air and your fire energy and your earth energy all in one. So there you go. Like shot the stick into the candle.
00:15:00
Speaker
Yeah, into the wax. I didn't even think about that. Yeah, I do that often. I did end up buying another incense holder for downstairs because we broke one of our incense holders and I was like, fuck. So for the longest time, I was just using candles to put my stick incense in downstairs.
00:15:19
Speaker
We finally bought another one, but you don't have to. You could just use a candle. It works just fine. Because if the candle, like the Ramacand or whatever, the candle's end is big enough, it will catch the ashes too. So it's win-win. There's no mess.
00:15:34
Speaker
I love that. And like for the chalice, which represents water and water energy, any cup or mug that you own, again, this is something that will already possess your energy of yourself, your home and your family, which makes it more significant and can make your spells even more powerful. So again, you don't need some like
00:15:54
Speaker
antique looking chalice that you spent like $50 on Etsy or eBay for, you can just use a coffee mug in your home that you normally use every day for your tea or your coffee. And we've even talked about this before too, like if you do want something that looks a certain way, go to like secondhand stores, you can find a lot of that stuff for so cheap.
00:16:16
Speaker
too. Just always cleanse it. Yeah, always cleanse it. And you can even modify something too. I was a huge Harry Potter fan growing up. And so for my daughter's first birthday, her first birthday was Harry Potter themed. And I was just like, I don't care. You're going to like Harry Potter. Joke's on me because neither one of my kids really like Harry Potter, but it is what it is. Oh my gosh.
00:16:40
Speaker
But what I did was like, because I was like, all I want to have like, wands to give to all the kids, right? But like, I'm not spending all that money on Etsy or anything. So like, you can use like hot glue and a stick and then paint and guess what? Perfect wand. We did that for GGB one year before you joined. I remember seeing pictures of that. Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
00:17:01
Speaker
We also have talked about this before, but when you're cooking or stirring your tea or coffee, you can do so with intention. Just remember that when you stir something clockwise, you're increasing a quality or putting it in, but when you stir it counterclockwise, then you're decreasing that quality or taking it out.
00:17:19
Speaker
You can also stir the shape of a sigil or symbol into the food or drink or whatever it is you're stirring. And in terms of food, you could even draw that sigil or symbol in the food with herbs before you mix them in.
00:17:32
Speaker
Oh, I love that. Also, we've shared this, I mean, multiple times, but you know, it's funny when it comes across on TikTok. But like, for real, like you can recite affirmations over your drinking water, even if it's like, what was that one that you sent me recently was like, I have a fat ass or something like that. I can't remember the exact
00:17:50
Speaker
But if that is your affirmation, do that. But thinking about it or reciting the affirmation every time you're drinking water, because we all need water to survive, that's such an easy habit to start and to keep up with. And it's a very low effort and low energy.
00:18:06
Speaker
Another one that we've talked about before in season one is using visualization when you're taking a shower or a bath. So as the water is washing over, you visualize all the negative or stagnant energy washing down your body with the water and then right down the drain.
00:18:22
Speaker
and you can set a positive intention and even use words of affirmation with this process to give it an easy but like effective boost. And another good shower or bath one is using salt or sugar scrubs in your cleansing practice. You can add various herbs, flowers, and essential oils that correspond with your intentions. As you're using the scrubs, set your intention and you can even use visualization here as well.
00:18:49
Speaker
The same can also be said for washing your hair. This is something that, depending on how often you wash your hair, it's a weekly thing, every couple of days, whatever your routine is. But using shampoo that have specific scents based on your intent or what you're trying to manifest can really help. For instance, sea salt shampoo,
00:19:07
Speaker
the best one that I found is Big by Lush. That's a great one to use for cleansing. So if you're wanting to like do some sort of self cleansing, that's a great one. Vanilla scented shampoo that can correspond with like love, seduction, peace, dreams, and luck. So I mean, just whatever shampoo that you're intrigued or drawn to in the supermarket or wherever you buy your shampoo, look at the scents and then think like, okay,
00:19:34
Speaker
how do I want this to work for me? And it'd be like a low effort thing.

Using Scents and Candles with Intention

00:19:38
Speaker
But for instance, for me, I have rose scented shampoo in my shower, which that corresponds to self-love for me, right? So anytime I wash my hair, I think about, OK, only positive thoughts in my head. I'm not doing any negative self-talk. I love myself for who I am right now. Those sort of things, easy, low effort, lazy witchcraft. And I love it.
00:20:01
Speaker
I think it's also important to point out this point that you're making. We always give you guys correspondences when we talk about specific types of witchcraft or deities or sabbats or whatever.
00:20:14
Speaker
So if you're trying to set an intention in anything like that and you want something low effort, find something that smells that way, whether it's a candle that smells like rosemary or lavender or a body wash that smells like the correspondence. It doesn't have to be actual lavender or actual whatever, rosemary or mint or thyme or whatever it is. Like if it's the scent of it, you can use that too.
00:20:42
Speaker
Tarot can also be a great practice that can take as little or as much effort as you want to put into it. You can do a super simple single card pull first thing in the morning and use that to set your intention for the day or even one at the end and reflect like what that card means in terms of the events of your day. It doesn't have to be anything like elaborate like a
00:21:04
Speaker
10 card tarot spread or you know something like that. It could just be a single card. Let me think on it for five minutes or two minutes if that's all you have. It doesn't have to be anything crazy. And then EnSense or Candles are a super easy glow effort item that you can tailor to your intention.
00:21:22
Speaker
So like I was saying before, like finding those scents that fit your intention, like using lavender for relaxation or calming, cinnamon, if you're trying to like bring in wealth or success, sandalwood for healing protection and or purification, like really just look at the correspondence for the intention that you're trying to set. And with the candles with this one, you can also use corresponding colors for your intention.
00:21:47
Speaker
Yeah and like with just lighting a candle like you said I mean tailor that scent to what you're wanting to like what you're wanting to manifest what you want that intention to be and for anybody that's like interested in like for instance Bath and Body Works candles I know they're you know it's not that great but also like
00:22:05
Speaker
If you already have it, why not use it? But right now in the Bath and Body Works, they have these line of candles, like their newer scents out that are more based on like earthy type scents. And so they have like a lavender candle out right now that smells really good.
00:22:20
Speaker
The Palo Santo is my go-to candle. Yes, the Palo Santo one is really good. They have a sage, I think it's sage and sea salt one that smells amazing too. But any of these things, whatever that scent is, like Tiffany said, use that scent to set that intention and just having that going in your home is a great way to incorporate those energies into your home. For instance, when I do that lavender candle in my house, it's not just for
00:22:50
Speaker
relaxation and things like that. Lavender has been shown to decrease anxiety, reduce headaches, and menstrual pain and decrease high blood pressure. So any of those things you want to manifest or send an intention for, those are great. It's also like often marketed for relaxation because medicinally,
00:23:10
Speaker
Lavender helps to calm your muscles. It helps like the anti-inflammation and it promotes sleep. So that's why a lot of businesses use it and market it as a relaxation scent.

Natural Elements and Moon Phases in Magic

00:23:26
Speaker
Yes. And something else that I do, I didn't put this in the notes, but I have this lavender oil that every night before I go to bed and my kids go to bed, I rub it on their wrists and they just ask for it. And so that is a really quick, easy, low effort way to even set intentions for your children. So as I'm rubbing it, I'll think about, I hope they have sweet dreams, that they have a relaxing night, that there's no nightmares, things like that. And even that is a really low effort.
00:23:56
Speaker
to do. Or like how I was saying, use the times that you have the energy and the time to prep things like maybe a lavender pillow spray so that you're having that kind of day where you know you need the sleep, you
00:24:11
Speaker
maybe are feeling a little restless, you need relaxation or whatever it is, you can spray that on your linens before you go to bed to help promote that as well and it takes little to no effort to do that. Something else that I thought was important to note is that you can use things like the sun, the moon, the earth, the wind, etc. to your advantage. These things have been used since the beginning of time because they're accessible
00:24:36
Speaker
and magical in and of themselves. So utilize them. You can charge yourself under the sun or the moonlight. You can ground yourself with the earth. You could go outside on a windy day and let the wind blow away stagnant or negative energies. Like there's so much that's in our own like backyards essentially that we can use that takes little to no effort.
00:24:58
Speaker
Yeah. And even if you're just like, okay, I really want to work with the moon, just working with the moon is such an easy, low effort thing to do. Because if you're working along like any of the four major moon phases, that's like once a week. I mean, just have the time once a week to do something. There you go. That's it.
00:25:18
Speaker
Yeah. Another easy, easy thing too, if you want to make this as simple as possible, and this is a shameless plug for our newsletter, for our Supercast members, every month I list out all of the four major moon phases and what if you're working along the moon, this is when you should be setting these intentions. These are when you should be letting things go. This is when you should manifest.
00:25:40
Speaker
And if you even just do that, that is so simple and easy. And you don't, again, don't have to do anything. Just stand outside underneath the moonlight and think about what you want during those times. Yeah. Yep. Plus, you get to see the moon every time.
00:25:55
Speaker
Like if Anthony and I are outside and it's dark, I'm like, look at the moon. And he's like, I've seen it. I've seen it a million times. But it's gorgeous. It changes every day. Another one that I listed and I'm going to preface this line with it's not for everyone, but
00:26:14
Speaker
meditation can be a low effort magical thing that you can practice. Again, this isn't going to be low effort practice for everyone as we are well aware that some people struggle with meditation like myself because I cannot shut my brain off. You know, every time I try to meditate, it's like, Oh, we need to go get this thing from the store. Oh, I need to do this thing tomorrow. Oh, my gosh, I saw this one thing today. And it's like, I cannot stop these or it'll be like, details,
00:26:41
Speaker
I can never shut my brain off long enough to just like relax and meditate. But if it's something that comes super easy to you, this might be a go to like easy, low effort practice to have in your toolbox. Yes. And even with like when it comes to meditation, if you are somebody who can turn off your brain, or you just want to try it and see
00:27:07
Speaker
You don't have to make it anything elaborate. You can YouTube a meditation. There's meditations on TikToks, really easy, quick ones. We've mentioned a couple of apps before. If you have the Calm app or one that is free and I use all the time is now I just forgot what it was because my watch just went off.
00:27:31
Speaker
Insight Timer. The app Insight Timer is free and it is amazing. It has so many different meditations, even like, oh, hey, I know that I should be sleeping right now, but I'm not that tired. If you go on Insight Timer and just search sleep meditation or something like that, a thousand, that's probably like... Exaggerating. Exaggerating. That's probably an exaggeration. I hear that too much. That's why I hear it all the time. It's fine. Yeah.
00:28:01
Speaker
50 different ones that are on there. It's clearly a thousand. It's clearly a thousand. But there's so many that like when I go to bed sometimes I'm like, I just need I need help like falling asleep. I will put that on and I won't even realize that the meditation is it puts me to bed.

So I do those the playlist that we were talking about, like the 8d music, I can put that in and it just like for a second, my brain's like, Whoa, what's happening? And then all of a sudden, it's like, Oh, yeah, I'm
00:28:35
Speaker
I don't think I would be able to meditate with it though, because I'm constantly like, the way those playlists work, they fade in and out from side to side. So I like Anthony laughs because he'll watch me listening to him and I'm like, I head with the way that the sound is moving through the speaker.

Simple Practices: Candle and Sigil Magic

00:28:54
Speaker
I love that. It's great. It's the one thing that like immediately I stop and all I can do is just be like, oh, I like this. I love it. I saw too, there was like a Reddit thread that it's going to be in LinkedIn or show notes, but there was a Reddit user who their name was deleted or else I would give them credit. But I mean, I can't if their name is fucking deleted.
00:29:17
Speaker
But they said that if they want to feel a specific intention or manifest a specific thing, they will listen to songs that fit those intentions while they're getting dressed in the morning. So that's another super easy thing to do because if you are trying to manifest self-love, I mean, don't listen to a true crime podcast. Listen to some songs that mean that for you, that inspire you. I really love that because that's something simple that you can do, but it's something that I've never even thought about before.
00:29:48
Speaker
And I love it. I just listen to so much angry, screamy, screamy music outside of sleep token. Yeah. Maybe we should incorporate that a little bit more. Yeah, for sure. I also came across that thread and I forgot. I was like, oh, that's a really cool thing. And then I forgot about it. So it's not even in my notes.
00:30:09
Speaker
Another one that I really like for low effort is braiding your hair with intention. I actually do this when I put little braids in my hair. Whether you braid all of your hair into a single braid, if you do a couple of pigtails, smaller braids, my favorite is to hide a single small braid that I tuck behind my ear.
00:30:29
Speaker
You put your intention into that braid, and a common practice with this is to braid the intention of protection. So, I love that one. I do too. And then, can't pull magic. That's another one just like tarot. It can be as easy or as elaborate as you want it to be.
00:30:47
Speaker
So you can do something as simple as setting your intention with a candle in the color that corresponds to that intention and then light the candle and let it do its thing. You can really make candle magic fit your needs and your abilities at any given time.
00:31:01
Speaker
Yeah, and this is another thing that we've talked about a few times on the podcast. But something that I think we just, you know, good to emphasize, again, is it doesn't even have to be like any sort of spell candles, you can literally use used up birthday candles from like birthdays. I mean, we all have that drawer, right, where you just have like random birthday candles and shit in there.
00:31:24
Speaker
Gee, you can use that too. Tea light candles, birthday candles, whatever. I was going to say, for me, it's those packs of IKEA white tea light candles. Yes. I always have those. Same. And then sometimes I'll fish one out and it smells like vanilla. And I'm like, oh, I forgot I bought these ones. Yeah. It'll work. It smells good.
00:31:44
Speaker
Let's use it. Also bay leaves. This is something that most people already have in their pantry anyway. I mean, we've talked about this so many times, but anything in your pantry, there's going to be a witchy correspondence for it, so just start searching for it. But all you need is a lighter
00:32:03
Speaker
a pen, a bay leaf, and someplace safe to burn a bay leaf. And this is such a simple, easy, but powerful method to use in manifestation. And this is something that I do all the time, because it is so frickin easy and accessible. Again, accessible bay leaves are not expensive.

Learning and Adapting Witchcraft Practices

00:32:20
Speaker
So you don't need to spend a bajillion dollars to practice any witchcraft.
00:32:25
Speaker
Something else that I think a lot of people wouldn't even think of is just spending time just learning something about witchcraft. Listen to a podcast like this one or watch a content creator on your chosen social media platform. Read a book about witchcraft. Spend some time Googling witchcraft. Any form of learning witchcraft is also practicing witchcraft.
00:32:51
Speaker
And it's like, we have everything at our fingertips today. Like you have a phone that you can Google on. Most people have a computer or, you know, like maybe a documentary or a podcast that they listen to or books. There's like endless opportunities here to learn.
00:33:10
Speaker
Yeah. And even, I mean, I know you're going to go into a little bit about sigil magic and like some resources that you can use, but sigil magic is so easy and accessible. And if you don't know what that is, check out episode 24 in season one, where we discuss sigil magic and sigil crafting in depth. But I'm telling you right now, this is one of the easiest, simplest things you can do. Like literally all you need is a pen, a paper and a way to activate the sigil. That's it.
00:33:35
Speaker
then with the resources like Sam was saying, like use those resources to your advantage. And this is something that I actually I didn't know about until I was trying to look up some resources for easy like low effort witchcraft. But I came across a website called sigil scribe. So like say you want to work sigil magic, but for some reason you just you don't have the time or the energy
00:33:58
Speaker
to just sit down and like craft a sigil. It is super easy, like it's not a daunting task, but maybe you only have like 30 seconds to do this one thing. Go to SigilScribe.
00:34:08
Speaker
And it will craft it for you based on the intention that you type into the program. And I tried out, like I typed a bunch of different ones just to see like how it would generate it. And it puts it on a grid. It draws it out for you. It does like the whole thing where it like takes out all the vowels. It takes all, all the double letters. Like it shows it all to you as it's doing it. And it's pretty cool. So I will make sure that the link for that is in our resources for you guys. It's a pretty cool resource to have in your pocket. If you want to work, Sigil magic and just don't have the time.
00:34:39
Speaker
There are tons of apps out there for everything to include moon phases like Mooney. That's one that I have on my phone to locate specific stars, constellations, planets. I use Starwalk for that. It's pretty cool.
00:34:53
Speaker
It is really cool. I love that app. I will sit and search. I'll be in bed looking at my room with my phone. Oh, this is over here. I love that app so much. For plants, I use Bloom. And there's also a lot of astrology, crystal, herbal, and just magical apps. And many of them are free or they have free options. So try a few out and see which one fits your needs.
00:35:19
Speaker
We're also huge advocates for using services like Kindle Unlimited, the library, the Libby app. Like, you know, we keep talking about these things. But when it comes to books, like having those resources keeps things accessible and they're very cost effective, especially with the price of books these days. Like books have gotten so expensive. So having these resources like Kindle Unlimited, I believe is $9.99 a month and it's got a ton, a ton of witchy books on there.
00:35:49
Speaker
Absolutely. And even if you just have like an Amazon Prime account, like it's not like the same as Kindle Unlimited. No, there's still like free books on there too, that I didn't even realize were I thought Amazon Prime was just for the shipping and watching things. But you can read books on there too. You can read books on there. And I always forget about it. And then when I'm like, Oh, yeah, I could look on here. There's a ton of free freaking books.
00:36:14
Speaker
It's crazy. And then I don't know if this is only an iPhone thing, like you had a Google phone, so you could probably speak to that. But if you have an iPhone, you can just take a picture of something, open the photo. And in the bottom, there's like a little icon that's a circle with an eye in the center of it. If you click that, it gives you the option to look that item in your photo up.
00:36:37
Speaker
And I use this all the time for plant identification for like local plants. I'll take a picture and then like click the little button and it'll tell me what this plant is based on my photo of it. But I don't like again, I don't know if that's only an iPhone thing or if that's across other like phones.
00:36:54
Speaker
Yeah, they do. Is it platforms? I don't know. I think so. I think maybe maybe I'm just gonna say that and just yeah, it sounds good. But I know for at least Google phones, there's Google lens, which is okay, the same thing. But say if you don't have an iPhone, and you don't have a Google phone, and you have like a Samsung or something like that,
00:37:17
Speaker
You can download the app Google Lens on any of your mobile devices, as long as you have access to the app store. And you can have that too. So that way, if you don't have access to the iPhone picture search thing, you can get an app for it.

Conclusion and Listener Engagement

00:37:33
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know what it is. I'm actually like, picture the little icon. It's a little circle. It has a lowercase i in the middle of it. And there's two little stars off to the side of it. Yeah. But I don't know what it's called.
00:37:43
Speaker
But I use it all the time for plants in my backyard. I just found out that we have lilac bushes. Like they've never been there before. They popped up.
00:37:53
Speaker
like a week ago we walked outside and we're like oh my god it smells so nice out here. Look over and there's these two bushes with like clumps of purple flowers all over them. Oh my gosh I'm so jealous. I swear every time I turn around there's something new. Yeah that's- I'm here for it. Reminds me of the From Blood and Ash series in the cave if you know what I mean.
00:38:19
Speaker
Great book series. You guys should read it if you haven't. Yes. It's very good. But anyway, I don't know if you had any other like resources. I just threw in a couple that could be useful for somebody that maybe doesn't have the energy to like look a bunch of stuff up or try to do a bunch of research. These are just like quick apps that you can open and yeah,
00:38:43
Speaker
I mean, definitely the insight timer that I mentioned, even like the astrology ones, like the sanctuary app is really good. Having an account on astro.com is like
00:38:54
Speaker
my go-to for like most things after all that you've uploaded. And I have like everybody's birth chart in there. That helps. But then also in our show notes too, I've listed a website for, I mean, spells eight, which we've talked about many times, but on there, like the link in our show notes is for easy spells. So like really easy. That's like a list of like different types of spells or rituals you can do that take not a lot of time, not a lot of effort.
00:39:24
Speaker
and they're still pretty powerful. So check that out. Well, and also like just think about doing things that are just simple that you do every day. Like I said earlier, like your mundane, simple, everyday tasks. Like maybe you have a garden and you spend time out there. That is that is witchy. Like working with your plants, talk to your plants, build that relationship with your plants. It doesn't have to be these elaborate, crazy things. Just keep it simple. As Michael Scott would say, keep it simple, stupid.
00:39:54
Speaker
I like Cupid's simple witches. Yeah, Cupid's simple witches. Chiswah. Instead of chiswah. Chiswah.
