Speaker: dome formation over the group at the moment with his face looking inward at them.

Speaker: So ah Nightfall, like he has his hands on the Groot's back. No, Groot. Calix's back. His skin's all blackened and charred and everything and he just kind of falls down, because falls on his knees because it hurts.

I sometimes go out and do his WG shit. I'm pretty sure that Nightfall specifically told his dad where he was going, though.

You guys did not tell your, um you know, your your principal who is your contact with Aegis and, you know, your your person who you you don't have a. Well, you guys don't have a direct line to Aegis necessarily. Not that you couldn't easily get a hold of them.
Speaker: I'm calling the principal parties, but. um So while you're trying to do that, bunch of armed ah so security guards, but like um not your standard not your like typical prison security guards. These are, you know. hu Like umbrella security?
Speaker: Sure, yeah. you know they're They're in like... um power armor is the wrong word, but you know, like high tech armor, high tech, they've got high tech gear, you know, stuff. This is a superhero world and it's a superhero prison. They're, they're armed to the teeth in, um superhero level.
Speaker: Well, gear that theoretically could get give them a fighting chance against super individuals. Um, and they come running around the corners, uh,
Speaker: And that they're like, would they even talk to you guys? I don't know if they would. Because they just assume you're all prisoners. Real quick, let's defer to the former former guard.
Speaker: Eric? Oh, yeah, they just shoot us. Yeah, that's what i'm thinking. Because they don't know you guys. Well, I mean, even even if they knew you guys, you're heroes staging a prison break.
Speaker: So, yeah. um These people come around the corner and open fire. I'm going to immediately use my... ah use my With laser guns.
Speaker: I'm going to immediately use my powers to try to make them all drop their weapons. I imagine the frame has to be metal, so i'm going to force them all to drop their weapons. If they're wearing armor, I'm going to force all that down on the ground.
Speaker: No, they're using the guns, laser versions of the guns that they use against Magneto in the and the movie. Well, I'll blast it. They're plastic laser guns somehow. No. They're plastic?
Speaker: No, they're not. it's If they have any metal, I'm basically just pull forcing as much of it to the ground. ah and if they have And if they have grenades on, I'm also... Go ahead and unleash your powers.
Speaker: Let's see it. Let's see it. here we go. One, two, three, here! Roll metal, daddy. Alright! so Yeah, Nate. Um, that is so on a seven to nine, um, mark a condition or I will tell you how it is temporary or unstable.
Speaker: I will mark a condition. All right. powers work as intended. Their guns, uh, basically pop out of their hands and hit the ground and all of the guards stare for a minute.
Speaker: um, and then the, you know, some of them, some of them do that. They look up and then run and two big, you know, buff guards, uh, do the, you know, those extendy nightsticks that cops have. They do that, except of course, these have some sort of weird ah electrical coil at the end of them um that, well, no, then they would have gotten, no, they just do the, they have some sort of regular non-metallic nightstick that they pop out and start, you know, approaching you guys.
Speaker: because I can't be the only one of these guys. I can't be the only one of my power they've ever seen. and so I guess... I guess we're going loud. So then I'm going to run forward and use one of my powers as superhuman strength to wrestle, fight, and engage these guys with my burnt-up hands.
Speaker: All right. So I will unleash my powers. Super strength! Or would it be directly engage a threat? This sounds like engage a threat, yeah. Oh!
Speaker: Am I dramatically under fire? You would have been dramatically under fire, but not anymore. Ooh, that's not a good one. all Alright, let's go, boys. So I run in there to do the fight with my bandaged hands.
Speaker: That's a miss. oh That is so appropriate, too. Okay, so on a miss, um basically, you ah essentially you're going to mark a ah condition. You go in to fight with them hand-to-hand, and because you weren't you're not used to your hands being burned at the moment, um they end up, you know,
Speaker: beating you with their sticks. um and you' And it's probably more your hurt hands that are causing you to mark a condition over the sticks. But actually, I guess, yeah, that's what's going to happen for this. There are special thingies I can do if they'll move, but that makes sense.
Speaker: Actually, I think now what I'm supposed to do is... um
Speaker: Yeah, I think that applies. Inflict a condition is all I need to do for the moment. um I got to get i gotta room you know get good at the combat in this game because it's ah so much more... like There's a bunch of things I can do, but they're so nebulous that it's like, well, this makes sense for you to just get hurt. so um What condition are you inflicting? That's what I'm trying to figure out. like the most So insecure sounds solid. Unfortunately...
Speaker: Yeah. Unfortunately, so solid start marking a bunch of them. They they don't always make sense, but yeah. um I'm unmarked right now. I've clicked angry first because it felt like I'd be mad at myself. But if I'm mad at myself, I think the most one that makes the most sense because I'm supposed to be super strong and then I just wasn't all of a sudden.
Speaker: I guess I'm insecure. yeah So yeah, you do all that. um And then one of the... ah you're You're fighting one guard. um Another guard throws a um some sort of grenade in the direction of the group. ah Calix, you haven't reacted yet. a grenade is flying towards you, Ironsand, and um the three people that you rescued. Speaker: uh uh what are those other people there are two other people maybe three i forget how many people we said were kidnapped um way back when uh it was nope these are the bad guys it was oh wait i've got character sheets for dossiers Um, Ember Flicker is there, Maya Rodriguez, um, Alex Chin, the limited telepath, uh, and Tyler Johnson, the guy who can manipulate gravity fields.
Speaker: Those are the other three, the three people who are kidnapped ah beforehand. You guys, um, in the, I think in the last episode I said, oh, you also see them come out of their prison cells, you know, when you guys,
Speaker: busted the place up. So you've got four people who are low-powered individuals along with you and Reese and a grenade flying towards you both.
Speaker: So that would be probably defend.

Speaker: On a hit, you keep them safe and choose one. So yeah, on a hit, you keep them safe and so choose one. um Add team to the pool, take influence over someone you protect, or clear a condition. So I think basically because it's your vines, so so no, because you've got a 10, you're not You don't have to mark a condition. In fact, you could potentially choose clear condition. You can add a team to the pool, take influence over the person you protected, um over someone you protected, which could be any of those, the five people you just protected, um or clear a condition.
Speaker: I think the reason it doesn't, so add team to the pool or take influence over someone.
Speaker: Potentially you could gain influence over Reese, uh, backswing, Ember Flicker, or those other two people I said. Um,
Speaker: wait, do you already have influence over Reese? Good question. Oh, you don't. Okay. Then, then add him to your influence thingamajig on your character sheet.
Speaker: I'll go ahead and outll add him to mine. Yeah. Um, And yeah, the so I'll say the reason you don't take a condition from this is, yeah, while it explodes, the vines you shot out. um And, you know, maybe that that's painful, but the conditions are mental damage, you know? So... um Much like when Eric's hands are burned were burnt, um they don't have necessarily an in-game mechanic. We might come up with something later, but it it worked out really well. yeah no I love how Eric's role reflected that his yeah hands are bent. He has mittens.
Speaker: Shirt mittens. T-shirt mittens. and So yeah, halix Calix catches the grenade. It explodes inside his van vines. um ah But, you know, he protects the group. Rhys, you were impressed by this, apparently. um and i And he gains influence over you. And then um back over to Max in your... your pocket realm.
Speaker: Blaze Master, you know, after the initial inferno he creates around himself, um his his ah flames die down, except for the flames in his eyes, and he stares at you.
Speaker: I was going to say coldly, but I guess that's impossible for him. With a burning rage. With a burning rage. Iain King had when he slaughtered younglings. Yes, but his voice...
Speaker: His voice is cold and he says, don't think this pathetic cell can hold me for a long, boy. I'll keep that in mind. And then I dig into his and try to steal the ability that he has to for his memory on how to control his powers.
Speaker: oh Because I've done it with the T-Rex on how to control his laser. And doing this with a human is probably a lot easier than understanding a lizard brain. that is Actually, that is highly true.

Speaker: i i ah I pull out, like I hold out my hand, and inside my hand is like a like a little memory strand, and I go, this is what you're looking for, and you're never going to get back.
Speaker: And it like disappears, and or it goes like back into my brain. Holy shit. And I say... He, like, stumbles back from you, you know. um And is certainly horrifying. say, so enjoy your time here, freak.
Speaker: And then I dip out.

Speaker: Um... guess that would take a lot fun. So I believe, so for one, it's directly engaged in threat. It does open him up to damage. It can go wrong.

Speaker: I think, I do believe we discussed that you going to and leaving your your pocket realm doesn't require um doom tracks to do that. So you can you can leave without a doom track.
Speaker: Because we talked about this and it was like, technically you can bring someone to your pocket realm without marking a doom. Well, you can go there without marking a doom track. But then we were like, well, but you should probably mark one because you're bringing someone with you, you know
Speaker: Okay. So I pop up and I see soldiers fighting my friends. Yes. Specifically, there are two big, you know, big buff dudes. One of them just threw a grenade. The other one is beating um Nightfall with a ah stick.
Speaker: It's not so bad, boys. I wear heavy armor. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker: ah oh yeah yeah i I guess if I could try to engage already once I pop out.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh, yeah. We need to we we should have rolled um the thing I always forget. When you um engage ah foe in battle or some crap like that. When you enter battle against a dangerous foe as a team,
Speaker: um So I was supposed to erase some pool. Oh, yeah. At the start of every session, um
Speaker: believe I'm supposed to bump us back down to two. So when you enter ah battle against a dangerous foe as a team, add two to the pool. So we're at two.
Speaker: um if So who do we think would be the leader of this battle?
Speaker: Because technically it started before ah max came back. so and Honestly, given the fact that you've... Nightfall is the one directly that who directly actually engaged them. I think i think you're actually the leader.
Speaker: And for the purpose of this battle, I'm going to call this battle the entire prison break. Not just these two guards. Gotcha. so ah So for the purpose of this battle, um yeah, Nightfall would be the leader. ah So do you have influence over every other teammate?
Speaker: We won't be counting backswinging them, the NPCs. Yes, I do. Yes, so that adds a team.

Speaker: um But I can directly engage a threat by rolling savior instead of danger. Okay. So we will do that.

Speaker: ah We see Tasha in a dark void kneeling before a tall figure. Your influence over him grows weak, he says, and raises a finger.

A sly smile spreads across her face as she unleashes lightning and fire into the beast. Camera flashes.

Speaker: Flash again, blaze master. We see him sitting in, in his cell in siphons pocket realm. He takes a deep breath, breathes in, breathes out, breathes breathes out.

We see Reese and Clara returning from a date. She gives him a kiss and then walks to the front door of her house. She opens it, then turns back to Reese and gives him an inviting smile.
Speaker: Camera flashes. we say kevin We see Kevin hunched over what looks like Kevin, if you remember Jaden's character. We see Kevin hunched over what looks like a highly advanced computer console of some sort.
Speaker: He tinkers for a few minutes, then lets out a sigh and presses a button. The console lights lights up and a holographic image of an alien face appears above it. Hello, Kevin.

Speaker: We see Baxley in costume, sitting across the desk from Principal Powers having discussion we can't hear. The principal is holding a paper which the camera focuses on. It's a resume. He sets it down, reaches a hand across the table, and says, congratulations. I think you're perfect for the job. Speaker: Footsteps approach and she turns around, spotting Siphon. Hey, thanks for coming. um You didn't use one of your creepy portals to get here, did you? You can answer, Hayden.
Speaker: Why am I there? she so She requested you to come here. She said, hey, thanks for coming.
Speaker: I have no other information than that. you just so okay You're just supposed to play along, Hayden. You got a text message saying she wanted to meet, and you guys are at a bench overlooking the city at sunset.
Speaker: No, i this I did not teleport here. I stole my dad's car and drove here. She chuckles, um and she says, Look, I just wanted to say um I appreciate everything you did in the last mission. um You know, you ah ah you guys, I mean, all of you did great. ah you You saved all the people. um And look, I just, I i feel bad. um
Speaker: I've been keeping a secret. ah I think you might suspect part of it. um But, ah and she says, Max, she says, Max, Max, I want to be honest with you.
Speaker: I guess she already knew you were Max because you revealed the whole backswing thing. so when When she says that, and I'm like, if you're about to give your secret identity, don't. If you're going to your feelings, dude. She says, no, I want to. And then she pulls her mask off revealing herself as Victoria. I close my eyes.
Speaker: Ah, the player couldn't you close his ears. She's like, really? She says, really? I'm trying to have a moment here. Child. let' say... made don't think you understand everything about what I am.
Speaker: I think I understand more than you do, actually. i I was assigned to help you guys with the missing people, just like Principal so Powers said, but but that isn't my real mission.
Speaker: My real mission is, and then before she gets a chance to explain, a there's a crack like thunder, and a ah literal crack in reality appears next to the two of you as a portal opens.
Speaker: um Victoria's eyes widen and she, you know, she jumps up taking a defensive stance. um You guys see the shadow of a figure um like walking, you know, you know, that kind of scene where you see someone walking,
Speaker: like I'm pretty sure this exact scene that's happening shows where they're walking towards the portal and you see like the silhouette of them getting bigger. Oh, yeah. um So you see that the shadow of the figure approaching the portal from the other side. And then out steps a woman who looks um very familiar to both of you, albeit several years older, and also seemingly cosplaying as a witch.
Speaker: Next to the adult Tasha steps another figure that Max immediately recognizes, though there is something very different about him. Max's father, Max Sr., steps forward and says, son, we need to talk.
