Speaker: You are listening to the Inverted Creative Podcast. I'm Allison. I'm Jen. I'm Brian. I'm Mikhail. And I'm Nate.
Speaker: Guys, this is a first in podcast history for us. Yeah. All five hosts are here. we And we have a guest. And we this is like the Brady Bunch right now on our ah screen right now.
Speaker: It's going to be a chaotic episode. The ninth of the inverted table. This was like my photography coaching call, Zoom call this morning. There's way too many people.
Speaker: I'm telling you right now, I mentioned it before we record like started recording. We need to use the raising hand yeah yeah function. i can just let all you guys talk. I don't have as much offer today.
Speaker: I've only done one of these, so I don't have much to offer either. We do have a special guest back with us today. um If you listen to our Anakista episode, we have Jacob back with us.
Speaker: Hi, Jake. Hello. It's almost back to back, isn't it? couple in between. It is back to back. Right? No? At least episode-wise. Oh, episode-wise. No, because we haven't this this is one's going to release in like a week and a half. Oh, got it. As of recording, the Anacista one just dropped.
Speaker: Yes. Finally. We got it. We got it dropped. um Because Jacob is somewhat of an expert in mountain coasters. perfect I would say so.
Speaker: Yeah, this this episode would feel kind of stupid if we didn't have you back on for it yeah it. I'm glad to be back. i mean, i had I had a blast last time.
Speaker: Good. I'm glad. um Before we jump into our deep dive, um I got a question from somebody on Patreon a while back, and I wanted to make sure we address it. This is from Adam G, who asked, I think this is mostly for Jen, do Thrill Gliders get their own talent names?
Speaker: That's a good question. I don't know yet. This is the first one we're really going to see, right? no Yeah. Yeah, so yeah would be the first one the reason that I keep it to B&M Inverts and B&M flying coasters is because I feel like it's kind of unfair to consider a like um like a SLC or something. like I feel like it's kind of unfair to even put them in the running. So I think I need to wait and see what they look like. what What do you think?
Speaker: Do you have a talent name for fly? I don't. So i haven't I haven't included Vekomas yet either. Right now it's just BNM inverts, BNM family coasters and BNM flying coasters. And then whatever coasters annoy people when I call them talent at Thorny Park, when they're not talent at Thorny Park, um if they respond that they're annoyed, then that too gets a talent name. Yeah, so like any of them.
Speaker: Yeah, so like Renegade. Any coaster. Yeah, Renegade has a talent name and Orion has a talent name. um What is Orion's? It's like big blue onion talent or some hyper talent. Yeah, it's something really silly because this man was like screaming at me on Twitter. It was really funny. So um yeah, he got a talent name.
Speaker: noted like yeah so as of right now i don't know i think i need to see if it's in the running i do think that i might start i might have to start including vakoma inverts because the new vakoma inverts like naviana forces that that is a great invert um so i don't know we'll see i will keep you updated once i ride it and or see what it's like when it's built Is um the one going to Efteling supposed to open in 28? think it's 29. 29. The one in France is 28. The one in France?
Speaker: Yeah. Yes. I missed that. The same park as Mission Bermudas. Yeah. which I can't think of right now. I'd definitely miss that. Mm-hmm. I will absolutely be at the one at Efteling on opening day. I don't need an excuse to go to Efteling. I will go to Efteling every day of the week. In fact, I was invited to Efteling the day after I'm at Efteling next weekend. And guess what I am doing?
Speaker: going to Efteling. Futuroscope. That's what it's called. Sorry. Took me forever. Oh, I said that, but too many were there. I didn't hear you. My bad. I heard you, Bryant.
Speaker: There was a whole thrill glider analysis video on Kosa Studios today. You didn't watch it. It was well edited.
Speaker: No, I have not watched it because I've had no time to do anything lately. If anyone has good pay or has good um talent name recommendations for these, I'll also accept if anyone comes up with really good talent names, then then I'll just start to include them.
Speaker: Can we call it the thrilling gliding talent? Tron Talon. We're being equally as creative as Magic Mountain was with that name. Exactly. yeah Yeah, well, that's how I feel about creative that's how i feel about Top Gun Talon and Top Gun 2 Talon.
Speaker: Like, that's why they're named Top Gun and Top Gun 2. We put in as much effort as they do. Yeah, exactly. And I'm like, I did the same. i put in the same effort as they put in with Top Thrill because they had like just announced Top Thrill 2's name when I named them. Oh, boy.
Speaker: Yeah. a Top Gun like hails back to the R.I.D.' 's original theme, though, which I can appreciate. yeah some of them are really creative i think my favorite one which i think bryant might have even named is eiffel talon that one i think is my favorite one that's good sorry sorry yeah that's a good one that one's a really good one that might be my favorite thank you call name i like kobe bryant talent too but Kobe Bryant talent is also really good. But it's so funny because when I tell the, like, not that the Europeans are nearly as invested in this, but when I tell any of the European people that it's called Kobe Bryant talent, and they, like, do not understand it And I'm like, well, that's... They don't have the Mamba mentality. Yeah, like, what?
Speaker: What is your culture?
Speaker: Yeah. There's also another one. what What talent name are you going to give to your first mountain coaster? the
Speaker: It's Mountain Talon. Good segue right here, Kyle. I don't know if that one gets Talon name, unfortunately. no It's definitely not the best in PA, I can tell you that much, because Talon and Dordy Park is the best in PA. It's definitely the best mountain coaster in Pennsylvania, that's for sure. Yeah, but not in Burt.
Speaker: I don't remember it, because I haven't even... i I've been on it. ah We'll talk about it, anyway. yeah Let's not spoil it. I haven't written it. um Jacob, do you have an estimate of how many mountain coasters you've been on at this point?
Speaker: i just I just ran a calculation. it looks like 30.
Speaker: um Why are you not far off that number, Allison? No, that's me. I have like eight. Oh, i have also saw so someone in the chat had like 25 or something. I have 25 because we decided that Ice Mountain Bobsled is not an actual mountain coaster despite the track looking like it. So 25.
Speaker: twenty four yeah You do have twice as many credits as me. to be fair. To be fair to my credentials on this. Yeah, he's got a lot more per like percentage. The coasters to credit count ratio is definitely in favor.
Speaker: Yeah. I'm actually looking back in our chat for how many I had, because I already forget. You had more than eight. have one.
Speaker: I have seven. And Jen one I don't have. So... Yeah, actually, i don't have that one either. 18 was my number, not eight. Hmm. I think if you have one per hundred in your overall count is a fair amount. If you go above that, then you're a word I can't say on the podcast for mountain coasters.
Speaker: I've got two and a half per hundred. i go buy i wonder Yeah. one per hundred. Yeah. i have one per 100 or one per 250. what's 30 what's 30 over 500. uh lot that's 15 per 100 right yeah no no no hold on that'd be 200. the other way the other aren't you the scientist here six per hundred for it was the other way yeah yeah yeah i don't know how to first one was my 95th credit so
Speaker: so oo whoa That's a good one. Am I supposed to count this as a credit? i have Yeah, oh there we go it's a coaster. You asked the million dollar question there. yeah i thought we were on agreement. Maybe we're not. We'll get to it. we'll get into it we'll get What do you think LogRide does? Do you think it counts it?
Speaker: LogRide, yeah. LogRide, you can classify it as whatever you want, kind of. Coaster count, um you have to go on your like website and like say whether you consider it a coaster or not for it to count.
Speaker: So you you can change it on there too. i didn't know that. Mountain coasters have their own category. Whatever Log Ride wants, I just let it do. Yeah. 110 was my first Alpine coaster. I have three aquatic development groups.
Speaker: That's ADG stands for. I have one, two, three sun kids. So that's six. that leaves me with 19 weekends. I get so many stats too about Alpine coasts around the world and in the US. Yeah, I'm excited. So Allison, you give me the cue when you want me to spout those facts out. Sure, whenever. Right now. Okay. So this is just my RCDB research.
Speaker: but You know what? Let's just do a a quick little preview for a little patron idea we're going to have. um How many operating mountain coasters are in the world, do you think? Everyone guess. Whoever's closest. I think I've got a pretty good guess. yeah Jacob counts for that. operating us I'll let you all guess first. ah Operating mountain coasters in the world. 280.
Speaker: or two eighty I was going to say like 300. 362. Hyper specific. 320. I'm going to more like 480. 444. 444. like 300 450, but doubted myself. just i'm going to go more like four eighty four forty four you four forty four i like the reading number um three hundred or fifty but i i doted myself 361 of those are Wiegand.
Speaker: like So I was thinking, they have to have produced the most... How many are Wiegand? 361. Oh, I was one off of how many Wiegands there are on the world. That's not what he asked, though. I know that wasn't the question, but that's cool, though.
Speaker: They've had to have like made more track than any other manufacturer, right? Oh, I'm sure. like I mean, mountain coasters compared to roller coasters are close incredibly long. um So 264 of those are operating in Europe.
Speaker: um Only 56 in the US, but that is the most of any country, which actually surprised me. um Next most is Germany 49.
Speaker: France, 47. Austria, 30. Italy, 21. Czechia, shout out Barbara, they have 16. They have that many in Italy? 21 in Italy. Yeah, probably only of the northern part of the country.
Speaker: True. How many does Vietnam have? Because they have six at one park. Vietnam is 13. Sorry. sorry um China has 61. They have the most. i I was going just off of Europe for US stat, but China has the most at 61.
Speaker: Countries I was surprised have none. Japan does not have a mountain coaster. That's correct. ah Nepal does not have a mountain coaster like Himalayas. What are you guys doing?
Speaker: New Zealand does not have one. Indonesia does not have one. But the Ili small African nation of Mauritius has one. Oh, really? Yes. That country is smaller than the state of Rhode Island, but they have an Alpine coaster.
Speaker: Wow. It actually looks like a great vacation spot. I've i've looked into visiting Mauritius before. it looks i thought you were about to say Rhode Island. so that way Rhode Island is able have a coaster. yeah Nope. 27 states.
Speaker: Like not one single piece of coaster hardware of any kind. they don't Not permanent. Although you you rode one that was in Rhode Island very recently. The corkscrew at Wild Waves was in Rhode Island. Oh. urge Oh, well, damn. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: Yeah, 27 states have a mountain coaster. Tennessee leads the way with 11, followed by Colorado with 7. And then it's 3 or less the whole way through. Illinois has 1. Illinois does have 1, yes. when I've ridden that one. Little caveat, because I'm going to be the nerd about this. Tennessee, I think, has 12 if you count the racing coasters, too.
Speaker: Ah, okay. It's probably not as... It doesn't come up on RCDB. is it to is it to and Vietnam might do the same thing. It's two completely different tracks. Yeah, it is. yeah The Bona Hills, they have ah three dueling mountain coasters, so you might actually be plus three on Vietnam there.
Speaker: Okay. At least three. I know Bona Hills, I think all three of their mountain coasters are dueling, and they're listed as they're each listed... Each of the dueling tracks are listed as one on RCDB.
Speaker: How many single rail Alpine coasters are there in the world? Those are the ones I shall be pointing all my energy at. At least three. Moving forward.
Speaker: At least four, because I've ridden three and Bryant has one. Right? I've never ridden a single rail, actually. Oh, no, never mind. That one in Switzerland was not single rail. I forgot. There is a single rail there in Interlochen.
Speaker: So if they're all this Brandauer... company or sun kid they're not okay yeah oh is brand our and sun kid combined into one yes okay um maybe acquired by sunkin 2019 brand our correct yeah mnd also makes single rail mountain coasters okay yeah well brand our is 42 operating yeah so Jacob, ah like me your son jacob best you would be the best person to ask this. Is there a difference between mountain coasters and alpine coasters or is it just like a regional name for it?
Speaker: i i There's no real difference. I use them interchangeably. i think like Wiegand, the official product name is alpu Alpine Coaster, ah but I don't think it's copyrighted or anything. So the other companies use Alpine Coaster, I'm pretty sure.
Speaker: I actually don't know what all the companies, I know like MND calls theirs a fun coaster. ADG might call it a mountain coaster. I don't know what Sun Kid does.
Speaker: I had wondered if that was a USA versus European, like, just inclination of naming that. I don't know. I just feel like Alpine sounds more official.
Speaker: I guess, to be fair, a lot of these a lot of these companies are not in English-speaking countries, so ah the English name of the product may not be at the the forefront.
Speaker: Because I see a couple names on Sun Kid. They've got Mountain Coaster and they've got Toboggan on it. Summer Toboggan I hear a lot. Wiegand uses that term to refer to the Alpine slides. but right I've seen it in reference to railed Alpine coasters, too.
Speaker: The one I've written in Germany is called Sommer Rotobahn, which I think is literally just summer toboggan in German. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's that means summer toboggan.
Speaker: One of the ones I wrote in Poland has a name that translates to gravity slide, and I am not going to dare to try and pronounce it yeah
Speaker: Speaking of the one I rode in Germany, I think that is one of the shortest mountain coasters ever. I mean, it's the shortest one I've ridden by far from like lift take off of the lift to getting to the brakes at the end was like two and a half minutes or less.
Speaker: Oh God. Yeah. The one, it was the weekend one we did in Poland was really short. Uh, but to be fair in Europe, a lot of them are a lot cheaper to ride than in the U S.
Speaker: I do want to ride the one. Is it the one in Andorra that's like 17,000 feet long or something crazy? Yeah, I'll ride that one too. I been on it.
Speaker: i mean, that's the length. That's like, that's almost three times Fury 325, right? crap. holy crap ah Yeah, I mean, it's longer than Falcon's Flight, that's for sure. It is longer than Falcon's Flight, yeah.
Speaker: you know the name of it offhand? I'm looking right now. It's in Andorra. I think there's only one park in Andorra, if you call it RCDB. Magic Gliss. It is Magic Gliss. Wait, is this it? No, that's not that one. it doesn't Oh, there are two parks in Andorra. we go. tobo tobo trunk Tobo Trunk. Yeah, that's it 17,388. I'm going to watch a POV of that.
Speaker: ah Do you have 20 I'm going to right now. And no, not really. yeah The crazy thing is, of those 20 minutes, six minutes are downhill still. like That's a really long ride. Yeah. is like A lot of the Pigeon 4 average mountain coasters are like seven minutes including the lift hill. Lift and down is like seven minutes.
Speaker: Question for y'all out of curiosity. I don't even know my answer. Do you guys prefer ones that have one long lift hill followed by track until the end or multiple lift hill sections? I've only done one with multiple lifts, and that was my 300th coaster, Wild Stallion in Sevierville. think that that one's in Sevierville.
Speaker: Yeah. yeah that's That's not something that I've given thought to, but but thinking about the last one I did that happens to be my favorite, um just give me give me one long lift hill either at the start or the end and just one continuous just go at it like downhill yeah why i just what I just thought of is I actually use it as a knock against Twisted Colossus of why i don't that's one of my lower rated RMCs because it kills the momentum it's killed in the middle
Speaker: Yeah, and kind of kills the pacing. um Mikhail, our lift on that one was like a ski lift. Like we sat in a seat and then yeah once we got to the top, we got in our car and then and we went all the way to the bottom and that was it.
Speaker: Exactly. That in itself, ah I feel like is really unique having to take a ski lift up to the top. like It wasn't where you have to um it it wasn't where like you go up a lift hill like in the car.
Speaker: The ski lift takes you up from Cypress Mountain up to the is Eagle Mountain Coast that we're talking about. um yeah takes you up from Cypress Mountain up to the top for you to then just come all the way back down and I mean like that last it last like it felt like I was on there for like 4 or 5 minutes um obviously i think it was long as hell like yeah yeah that one that one is really long Yeah. and There's a sneaky long coaster in Switzerland at Trevaldin. It's 10,000 feet of track, but there's no uphill. You ride the ski lift up. So it's actually almost as long as the one in Andorra.
Speaker: I think the Andorra one's 13,000 feet. No, not even that. It's just under 12,000 feet long. So if you want a really long alpine coaster, Trevaldin is also a good a good one to go try out.
Speaker: I kind like that, like part of part of that, um part of Eagle, like a big part of Eagle Coaster was just getting to see somebody else react to just the outlandish views you get of of the mountains in West Vancouver. Yeah, because Cyprus is like, Cyprus has a view of like Vancouver Bay or something, doesn't it?
Speaker: Yeah, so um at certain points during eagle Eagle Coaster, you can see, yeah, down down ah down to Barad Inlet, which is the water the um that separates Vancouver from North Vancouver and West Vancouver. And you can see straight across that water, straight to straight to Vancouver and the lower mainland and everything. But even before that, like on the on the ski lift up, you turn around, you can see, you you look like just past your right-hand side, you can see um the the the the upper Vancouver Islands like past Horseshoe Bay and see all the mountains like um in that sea to sky-like section like on the way up to like other cities, like ah other towns like Whistler and Squamish and stuff.
Speaker: Yeah. That drive to Whistler blew my mind when I went up there. it's its it's I'm not entirely convinced it's real and and i've done I've done the drive myself and I'm still not convinced it's called the Sea to Sky Highway it's really cool I need to go do a a BC ah a BC like mountain coaster cred run yeah for sure now everyone does just for the views alone absolutely ridiculous it's like out of a Netflix show
Speaker: I've been to Vancouver, but I really need to do the Western Canadian Rockies at some point. It's so beautiful up there. But speaking of good mountains, yeah, no, real quick, I do mention it. I probably mentioned it some point in the podcast history. Definitely my coolest mountain coaster experience was in Switzerland.
Speaker: Glacier 3000. It's definitely the credit that I kind of stunt on people, especially all these new Falcons flight people. I've been the tallest, fastest, longest, I've been on the highest mountain coaster in the world. Elevation almost 10,000 feet.
Speaker: um Crazy experience. You got to take two different gondolas to get up there. um I think, oh I mean, it's been three years, so I'm sure with inflation, it's went up. At the time, it was 100 bucks, but that's to get up to the top. They have a write Like a ah bridge you can walk on that connects two different peaks and the views are just otherworldly.
Speaker: There's like a glacier hike you can do that's like a three-mile round trip that takes you to this restaurant that overlooks. Like you can see the French Alps and the Swiss Alps in one shot. um And this is a ski lift you got to take down to get there.
Speaker: and then the coaster itself is only like nine U.S. bucks. um Yeah, I mean, as a coaster, it wasn't like my favorite, but the views I have a YouTube video, the views were just absolutely unbelievable. You literally feel like you're on top of the world.
Speaker: How is mountains below you, which is just crazy. so How was the breathing up there? Like, were you starting to like? That's a good question, actually. That's so.
Speaker: i I worked on a ride that it starts, the base is at 9,300 feet. It's out in Arizona at Sunrise Park Resort. So yeah pretty high. um But I remember actually ah on the, or like the week before I had gotten COVID and I was just at like, just barely like my 10 days or whatever on the day we were going to fly down to Arizona and I got the worst sinus headache on the airplane and it did not go away because we immediately landed and drove up to 9000 feet, which, by the way, is thinner than they pressurize airplanes because they pressurize airplanes to 8000 feet.
Speaker: So I was struggling. ah But I this is I have a conspiracy theory and Bryant, I hate to I hate to do this to you. I don't think Glacier 3000 is actually the highest mountain coaster in the world.
Speaker: Why maybe have some ah some niche knowledge. ah We need fair to sound we need a soundboard for these moments. four Because i think the I think the coaster that holds the record doesn't claim it. ah okay I believe that's Breckenridge in Colorado. And I don't know for sure because I've only pulled that off Google, but I think Breck starts above 10,000 feet. That's kind of
Speaker: that's kind crazy. Why would you not claim that? Right? I mean, there are skiers. Especially if it's in the U.S. Yeah. It's ah it's in Colorado.
Speaker: and guess Brian's now looking up a trip to Colorado. No, I literally drove by this, I think, and it wasn't open when I was at Glenwood last year. ah I did the same thing, but I picked a different mountain coaster. I picked a Copper Mountain instead of this one, and I apparently should have picked Breckenridge.
Speaker: Come Glitch 3000 is the one that ah at least claims that it's the highest. So until Breckenridge gets their act together, it's the highest. I agree with that. Allegedly. So they get the big measuring tape in the sky. This is a conspiracy theory. Nobody tell anyone, even though this is recorded on a podcast.
Speaker: yeah that That is weird. do you think the US one would be the one that's like, let's make sure we got this and not the Europe one. Usually Europe's like, yeah we don't care. Right, it is a ski resort though, so they're not they're maybe not as focused on like the the summer. right I think Breck opened in what, 2014?
Speaker: I might be wrong on that. Breckenridge, ski resort, Gold Runner. 2010, oh wow, so it's actually pretty old as far as mountain coasters in the US. go Yeah, it it is kind of off of I-70, so I definitely drove by it.
Speaker: It's right now, Vail. Anyway. Yeah, I skipped Vale and Breckenridge and I did Copper Mountain. As far as I know, I'm like the only person to have noticed this.
Speaker: No, I mean... Until now. Now our tens of listeners know as well. The elevation 9600 of the town, so... of the town of Breckenridge. If you go to like, if you go to, if you have the Google earth app, which I don't want to crash my computer.
Speaker: I have an old computer. If you go to the Google earth app and you just kind of like hover over where the Breckenridge mountain coaster is, it's above 10,000 feet. And if you compare that against where Google earth has glacier 3000, it is higher.
Speaker: Interesting. Above sea level. But what is elevation anyway? Does anyone really know? Google Earth apparently does. It's arbitrarily above sea level.
Speaker: Or because Colorado is more south to the equator, doesn't mean it bulges out more anyway than Switzerland? It does bulge out more, yeah. Isn't like some mountain in Ecuador technically the highest peak in the world? Team Barrazo. This is the kind of geography nerd knowledge that I happen to have.
Speaker: Love it there's three There's three tallest mountains. Mount Everest is the highest of of sea level. Chimborazo is the furthest from the sun of the earth. And ah i believe Mauna Loa in Hawaii is the tallest from base to top. base But the base is like well under the ocean.
Speaker: Hey Jen, what did you get to eat?
Speaker: Pepperoni did. Well, hey, now that you have your food, it's time for you to talk about your first coaster mountain. Oh, I legitimately was like, i think that I have time. They're going to yap here for a while. i forgot. Hey, now that you have food, now it's time to not eat it.
Speaker: yeah Perfect. Listen, I put a little note in our chat that says, but then someone said, hey, there's pepperoni dip. And I said, all hit game right, Pepperoni dip? That sounds phenomenal.
Speaker: Yeah. That does sound really good, actually. You know what? If you didn't have your work trip, you could go have some. Yeah. You could be here right now eating pepperoni dip. Listen, i know. i i so i'm the worst.
Speaker: It's fun.
Speaker: The next time there's an event near Jen that she's going to, i will I'll join. Perfect. I'll hold you to it. Okay. All right.
Speaker: So my first mountain coaster, guys. I have never done a mountain coaster until this Saturday. um Very well timed, by the way. Yeah, because we talked about doing this and I was like, I've never done one. And there was one like right in between me and Brian. So we met in the middle and did a mountain coaster. It was kind of a research trip for this episode. Like, yeah, literally.
Speaker: Like actually, though. Yeah, because when she said she had never been what met that been on one, I'm like, all right, well, we're talking about. Yeah, was like, I'm. Yeah, sorry. I interrupted. No, you're good. Like we were saying, oh, this is going upcoming episode. Then let's try to change this.
Speaker: Yeah, because I think I responded to the episode and I was like, well, I'm not going to be on that one because I have nothing to give. Right. But now you do. But now I do. I have a single mountain coaster that I've been to.
Speaker: woohoo And pepperoni dip almost took that away from us. Yeah, exactly. How dare it.
Speaker: What do you think? how How would you compare that experience against like roller coasters or against other coaster types, I guess? Way less thrilling, honestly. um However, i wonder I wonder if that would be different.
Speaker: Um, anywhere else. So I actually like grew up at that ski resort. So if anyone, I did the Camelback one, the adventure park. Um, I grew up going to that ski resort and like spending a lot of time there and like,
Speaker: I, my dad was a ski patroller and I, I helped like, we would be in the patrol buildings and help them with toboggans and like things. So I, I don't know, to me, it just felt very similar to being there for skiing. And then it felt like kind of the same sensation of coming down the mountain as you were skiing. But I don't know if that's because I knew that environment so well, like, or because that's just how it felt, if that makes sense.
Speaker: Did you break at all? Or did were you full throttle the whole time? i did not. However, the mountain coaster had a break on it. So if you got too close to the car in front of you and the guy in front of me was breaking too much. So I got stopped twice. I got stopped twice. I asked for space. This is the Thuzi trick is if yeah when the operator goes to send you say, hey, can i have a little bit of space? Especially if you see like like someone with a really small kid in front of you or something.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah, we did that at Eagle Mountain. i do that all the time, though. Yeah. um Yeah, it sucks to get slowed down by someone. asked for space behind you.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, might as well. Because if I run into somebody in front of me, then you're going to get caught in that, too. Sorry, I actually know this man, and he's a loser. He's definitely going to break. Can I have space?
Speaker: I didn't. I felt so bad. I felt so bad because I was going up the lift hill as I was watching Jen come down, and she was fine at that point. But then I saw that the father and his kid in front of her just falling. Oh, no. And then literally as soon as Jen went by me, I heard the noise of like her her cart like beeping to like slow down.
Speaker: But you said it like basically it fully stopped you where you could go back to full speed after enough space passed, right? Yeah, so it said that when it started to break to like hit the more beep to hit the break. So like I did a tiny bit and then it just slowed me down. It like stopped me completely.
Speaker: um And then I was able like it didn't even let me go until I could go back to full speed. so That was kind of good, except then I went back to full speed and I stopped again. Oh, twice. Jeez.
Speaker: Yeah, I was stopped twice. So. Yeah, i've I've never been break checked on an ADG right before. So that's interesting to hear how that goes. Yeah, there's no way that I broke like that. That was me doing that because I like barely pulled up on the break just to like listen to the whole like, hey, if you're I was kind of hoping if I pulled the break a tiny bit that there would be enough space that I could still continue. But then it was like, no we're done. You stopped. um I thought that the goal was to hit the people in front of you.
Speaker: Well, they have bumpers on them for a reason. Exactly. Why are we stopping at all? I would have hit the kid. um Ten points. i remember I remember the coldest I'd ever ridden a mountain coaster was Okimo in yeah Vermont. It was 27 degrees outside. i did not have gloves on my hands. I was well-dressed for the weather except my bare hands.
Speaker: And so I was going fast. i'm like, man, this is really cold on my hands. And then I came up on these kids that were just like, I mean, there was like three of them within 50 feet of each other, just all going so slow. And I'm like, now I have to sit here and like in the cold, my hands are already freezing off. And now I have to wait to go down the rest of this mountain coaster. It was, oh, I hate getting stopped by people.
Speaker: I happen to know that that is one where you could hit the kids if you wanted to. Yeah. Yeah, no, I was fully in control. I had to pull back. lunch up I know, i know. i I was too focused on my hands freezing off and getting, like, frostbite. Didn't mess up a A-Ron.
Speaker: I know. Indie Creative Podcast does not condone people. out there Yeah, but you know who does? Generally at theme parks.
Speaker: she You know what? Shout out to my friend that was with me, Jason, because he gave me his um cashmere, very fancy gloves afterwards so I could just like put my hands in it and like get my hands warm again.
Speaker: Shout out to him. So to circle back to Camelback, I did that intentionally. So that was the first of the seven I've done. That's the first one I've done with ADG.
Speaker: Aquatic development group. um yeah So the pro of that one versus Wiegand for me was, as a short guy, for the Wiegand ones to go full speed, you got to like push the arms like parallel with the car, which i'm like I like have to like stretch to like...
Speaker: fully push it down with these max speed is like halfway. It felt a lot more natural, kind like they're almost like a restraint level. um So that was a lot more comfortable.
Speaker: But that was the jankiest freaking mountain coaster I've ever been on in my life. So but it was great. it felt like Space Mountain. When we all got done, um Brian said that, and i was like, that's so funny because I was ready to get off and be like, guys, this was the arrow of mountain coasters.
Speaker: The one in Branson's like that, too. I mean, it's my favorite. The runaway. Overall. Yeah. you just like You're like bouncing out of your seat. You're like, I'm going to die. and the thing I love about ADG, which Brian just mentioned, is how high up the handlebars are. It makes it so much easier.
Speaker: Yes. Sorry. so A question for the group. Have you ever ridden any mountain coaster where at least at one point you thought I'm going to fall off? Yes. yeah Every time. i oh yeah the I don't really want to say which one, but it's been said.
Speaker: but
Speaker: So um Eagle Mountain Coaster is the first single rail um mountain coaster that I've done. And ease easily the most aggressive. Like, it's not close. It's not close. um That one felt like the first time I was introduced to Lats on Legend.
Speaker: Like, you thought like you think you think you know what lots are until you ride Legend or Holiday World. You do not know what lots are until you ride Legend or Holiday World. That's how Eagle Mountain Coaster felt. I was like, I really could, ah like, it it genuinely feels like that that car could just rip off of the rail and you just eat it on a tree. Yeah. Just like skiing.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. um How about that quad down though, Mikhail? The literal quad down? Yeah, so it has a literal quad down. like so i mean there's a There's a reason this thing is my favorite. like i'm I'm not someone who, on if I'm being completely transparent, I'm not someone who thinks about mountain coasters that often. like i though i i acquired a clear favorite after riding Eagle Mountain Coaster. There is a literal quad down on that thing. It's still number three for me, the but the single rails are pretty crazy. but I got actual ejector airtime on that.
Speaker: like mike it Like, it my booty was up. It felt like I was um coming up off of off of the car. It felt like the car was coming up off of the rail.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh, boy yeah boy. was like, i know it i know i know it's all I know it's all gas, no brakes and everything, but ah like for this for the sake of me not eating it on a tree, like like maybe I should brake a little bit.
Speaker: yeah I didn't, but like the thought came to my mind. I was just like, you know what, for my own safety. well Short side note here that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. The Thursday night football intro had roller coasters in it.
Speaker: Anyway. In Buffalo? It was like animated behind them the with all the like announcers and everybody. oh It was interesting. Like actual coasters or a like AI? group No, very much animated. Probably not AI. They didn't look AI.
Speaker: if But yeah. Anyway. Um, ah going back to the single rail coasters, um, I've ridden three and two of the three tried to kill me.
Speaker: Um, that was being rail runner and Eagle coaster. The third one, which I don't, I might be the only one in here that's ridden it. It's near Gronelund. Um, that's insane. I, yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Speaker: um It's in Stockholm. How did Gronelan still to get brought up in a mountain coaster episode? Yeah, you can see insane from the, you can see Gronelan from the mountain, but it's right nearby. It's in Stockholm, Sweden. And that is very, it's a very scenic ride, but it it does not have quite the intensity and breakneck speed of the other two single rails. Like I didn't feel like i was going to fly off and die.
Speaker: It does have like four bunny hops, but it's not like the quad down on Eagle Coaster. So I was a little disappointed by that one, but it's very pretty because you can see all of Stockholm and like the, is it a bay in Stockholm? The water in there?
Speaker: It's really cool. Yeah, I've I've done ah only two single oils actually. Railrunner Anakista and I did one in Poland. It's the one I mentioned before that I can't pronounce. oh yeah But like night and day, completely different experiences. Anakista is super steep, very aggressive. This one in Poland, not very steep at all.
Speaker: ah Very smooth um and honestly not that thrilling. But still fun in its own right it felt closer to like a Wiegand coaster experience compared to Anakistas you guys are really making me want to go to BC now though oh I would recommend it go see Mikhail he's not the seat right now I was going to say Mikhail just went BRB a resident British Columbian yes that was his first time on it is that right that's correct
Speaker: Yeah. okay We went on this endeavor together. Gary, I think, had ridden it before, so he stayed in the car and took a nap while we were up there. Of course he did.
Speaker: Riding it. Well, Man had been driving all day for the past like five days, so don't blame him. mean, of course he's been on it. Oh, of course he's been on it. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I mean, that's not too far from him.
Speaker: Right. That's true. Yeah. that's Yeah, that's true, I guess. Yeah. Do we have a favorite in... I guess overall and in the US.
Speaker: Railrunner. yeah um This actually came up on on my episode, but ah I really like the one at Leavenworth. Just the setting where it's built. um And it is a for a weekend coaster, especially it's a it's a fairly aggressive ride.
Speaker: um it's It's steeper than most weekend coasters. That one actually got a mention in our listener comments because Gary said yeah Turnwater, Twister, and Leavenworth, Washington is a true hidden gem of a mountain coaster.
Speaker: I think I've written it with Gary. Not in the same sled, but I went there with him two years ago.
Speaker: Didn't I think Mikhail and Gary stopped in Leavenworth before y'all's excursions?
Speaker: We may never know. Yeah. I was asking Nate right there. Yeah. So you were you weren't asking me or you were? i was. They didn't stop for the mountain coaster, but I'm not 100% sure if they might have driven by. Because I know they made a couple stops on the way to get us, me and Grant at the Spokane airport. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Mikhail, there he is. Just got to get the headphones back on. for Hey, Mikhail, we have a question. Hello. Did you and Gary stop at Leavenworth at all on your way to pick up me and Grant from the Spokane airport? We did, but the mountain coaster was closed.
Speaker: okay I didn't think you wrote it, but I do did thought i thought you stopped there. Yeah, yeah, we did. um That's rough right before Labor Day. Yeah, i think um I think it might have just been a ah thing of, like, we got there a little later than it's ours, because when we when we got there, um like, at least, like, half of this of the shops and stores and stuff were already closed.
Speaker: Like, we got there we got there, I can't remember what time, like, around about what time it was when we got there, but It was like late afternoon going on early evening. And most most most of the places were most of the places were closed already.
Speaker: oh wow Oh, wow. I don't know about i don't know about the mountain coasts opening and closing times or anything, but it it may have opened earlier that day. I don't know. A weird quirk of mountain because there's sometimes they're closed in the early fall between their summer and winter seasons for like maintenance.
Speaker: um I missed over Gatlinburg this year in April because they were they had like one week of being closed for maintenance and that was the week I was there. And that happens to be the only mountain coaster in that area that I don't have.
Speaker: if a camelback didn't work out, which we didn't think it was because their website is just awful. Um, our backup was going to be the one that I didn't realize it was an Alpine coaster at action park.
Speaker: Yeah. New Jersey. Oh yeah. Yeah. i would I would have loved to go to action park. not vernon But same thing. It's in there. Mountain Creek, right? Yes. Mountain Creek. Yeah.
Speaker: Oh yeah. They're between seasons right now. Um, Yeah, the ones the ones that are at ski resorts, well, some of them just straight up don't open in the winter. um I think like, especially in places where they get a lot of snow, so like at Mammoth or Aspen, I think i think if if they don't have a lot of snow, they'll still run it. But sometimes it just gets to a point where they they ah can't keep up with it. They have to close it down.
Speaker: Uh, but like it's, it's generally the whole resort switching season. So they'll, they'll have their summer operations go up until September, October, and then they'll be closed for a month, month and a half, uh, just until they have enough snow to start, uh, start skiing. Ober is, Ober is interesting that you missed it. You must've just gotten unlucky, honestly, because, um, the running event was exactly the week of their closing. They were closed for like seven days.
Speaker: So, yeah, it was it was just unfortunate timing. But last time I tried to go there, i I emailed them and I was like, can I, you know, for like my YouTube channel everything.
Speaker: Didn't get a response. I was like, you know what, I'll write some of the other ones I don't have. And then um i emailed them in November. They emailed me back in like March and were like, yeah, we would love to have you. i'm like, I emailed you like five months ago. What are we doing? Yeah.
Speaker: I actually just went back there and rode the coaster again as part of the ski area management summer ops camp. It's a trade show kind of thing.
Speaker: But yeah, it's um it's it's usually open. So that's weird that you got unlucky on that particular week. I'll be back down there again at some point.
Speaker: Yeah, I can potentially take you up there if I'm here. It's just not a given, to be fair. Yeah. Not like you're ever in Cincinnati or anything, right? yeah Never.
Speaker: Who wants to go to Ohio? Well, Ohio is actually getting a mountain coaster next year. It'll be the 28th state to get one. Well, that's unfortunate. we're We're planning a... i don't know it's actually been talked about much, but we're planning a cabin weekend when it opens.
Speaker: Oh, nice. Nice. nice At least one of our chats is. I don't know if it'll actually happen, but hopefully. I'd go. yeah We can make it a podcast thing and try to make Jen come to Ohio.
Speaker: Podcast retreat. podcast are ah Podcast retreat. I've been to Ohio way too many times the last three years. Yeah. It'll be next year, not this year.
Speaker: But also me and my car have beef and Ohio is not easy to go to. Me and my car have beef. We're not. Fly to Cincinnati on your go wild. Yeah, I'll just pick you up. And then we'll drive you. My go wild expires in April, number one. And number two, the issue with getting there on the go wild is I have to go to like Florida or like to Orlando or Tampa first. Well, then just find a flight. I don't know. Brian can drive me. He'll come pick me up the middle.
Speaker: It wouldn't be the first time. Yeah, actually, that worked pretty well the last time. Me and my car have beef. I drove it two hours to Camelback and the brakes are making a funny sound. so I'm just hoping for the best. It's been parked and I'm just not using it.
Speaker: Always car drama with you. Yeah, literally. Just if anyone wants to... Not with me in it, preferably, but if anyone would like to get something, that'd be nice.
Speaker: Well, before we get into listener comments, because we did get quite a bit, actually, um we wanted to do a quick defense on, I'm pretty sure all of us count them as creds.
Speaker: yeah um I will share my opinion. My quick opinion is if it's not a coaster, then what is it? like what What type of ride is it?
Speaker: that's That's a great one. A slide almost. It's not a slide. It rolls. It has wheels. Real quick though. What about the ones that are basically like a trough and you're in like a wheeled cart that's not connected to the ride? I didn't used to count those and I started counting them.
Speaker: I have a question. and So are we talking about the ones like at Toverland that like, like the Bob carts that are powered or are we talking about like truly like a mountain coaster breaking?
Speaker: I guess I don't need to ask this question cause I don't count either one of those. Not the, not the powered version. we we wrote a couple in Poland that okay were weakened ones. It's like a stainless steel trough. Other companies use fiberglass or concrete.
Speaker: ah Yeah. I just, I would not want to do a concrete one. that I don't, that yeah and i'm not gonna judge everyone for counting those i count some crazy stuff but i can't in good faith count that i just feel like it just there's no i know that there's bob bobsled coasters where there's no track but the bobsled itself is a track whereas this one's almost like a trough or uh or like a trough is the best word for it i guess but or like a slot i don't Yeah, some have like built in lift hills. The one that there used to be one at Whistler actually, and that one had a lift hill and both the ones we rode in. Well, actually, no, one of ones we rode in Poland had a dedicated lift hill. The other one you stayed on the track, but they hooked you up to a ah what would be a T-bar in the wintertime.
Speaker: I don't think I counted the one at Tovaland. um Well, just speak on bomb cards real quick. then but then i but i i'm I'm recalling one that I did at Oakwood in Wales um before that part closed, and I don't think I actually have that counted, but I do think that should count. I will speak on Bob. I might need to add a plus one.
Speaker: That's what that model is. um Having ridden one and I count powered coasters like a true powered coaster. I count all of those. um And so it's not really the power that gets me. It's like when I was on that, it literally felt like I was riding a go-kart that just had a predetermined like route like it literally felt like driving a go-kart on a path so i'm like god that in no way feels like a coaster it barely looks like a one but yeah that's there's the one in uh in pigeon forge at rowdy bear snow park the the weekend coaster car i don't know it's called right now but um but that's it's i mean that's like the mountain coaster equivalent of the bob cart
Speaker: Yeah, so that one i wanted that one, I do, because that one's fully on track, and it's not like you're, like, it doesn't necessarily feel like a go-kart going on a on a path. It actually does feel more like a coaster. I don't know. It's hard to will get in the nitty-gritty of those, but... Yeah, I really liked um when our like on our roller coasters, there's like a series where they ask the subreddit if something's accredited or not. And then kind of oh obviously've seen they could like collect up verdicts. And I forgot what they said. I think they said yes on Alpine coasters. That was one of the more resounding. Like, yes, these are coasters. That was so easy, though. I forgot what they said about Alpine slides.
Speaker: I think I think the consensus is actually yes, but I'd have to go check on that. my My kind of like basic overarching ruling is that we count wooden coasters with brakemen on them.
Speaker: so how So how is this different? Well, so one argument I've heard from is somebody who doesn't count them is that there's no uncontrolled uphill section.
Speaker: And when you think about it, even the quad down that we did, Mikhail, you're either flat or down the whole time because you're going down a mountain. yeah But I just don't agree with that. Yeah, I don't... So so if ah if a coaster... If an actual roller coaster had no uphill sections, it wouldn't be a coaster?
Speaker: Right, exactly. That's... No. like no I know, I can tell Brian's really thinking about this one. I'm just trying think of an example of... Is there a coaster that we count that never goes I don't think that there would even be a coaster that would fall on this. It would have launch coaster, right? Chance to Boggan?
Speaker: No, it goes back up. Once you go down those spirals, it goes down, up, around, down, up, down. I mean, and i mean i was I was thinking, are there are there any Mark Bobsled coasters that don't go back up? And the closest one that I can think of is, it it does gope it it does like coast back upwards, but like barely in a helix is Avalanche at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Like, that's literally the only time it goes upwards is an upward helix right at the end. But then it's but then it's like, if if if a coaster, like, one might not exist, but one could very easily be built by one of these manufacturers.
Speaker: Are we not going to count that because it doesn't go uphill? No. like ring rap Did a ring racer ever go uphill? Yeah, it goes up into that little turn thing. Oh, it did? its Yeah. Turn around, goes up.
Speaker: And Nate, what about Circus Coaster in Energylandia then? Does that go uphill? There you go. You counted that one. That's a power coaster. Like I said, I count power coasters.
Speaker: That was a tough one count. Yeah, i mean, that would be borderline. I didn't count. I refused to write it my first time because I wouldn't count it. Speaking of SBF, Visa Spinners, um they don't go up uncontrolled.
Speaker: Right. Yeah, so that's a good one. Oh, yeah. the Yeah, there you go. Oh, yeah. They only go up on tires on on the, like, figure eight models. Yeah, yeah. I've never heard of the uphill argument. Someone told me that one time, and I was like, that's that's invalid. That's a stretch. Yeah.
Speaker: um I also... Similarities, guys. I've only done Vista spinner. I don't even want to know my number. Impressed. i just i now I haven't done that many. I haven't done that many at all. I've done more Visa spinners than mountain coasters. my yeah Both my Visa spinner and my mountain coaster were done with Bryant. So I think really he is. That's true.
Speaker: He's an enabler. yeah yeah My first SPF visa was like my 460th credit or something. so He's making you... I rode a mountain coaster before I rode a visa. I will say that.
Speaker: Same. Two credits before. I've done four visa spenders in two days before. Jacob's bouncing. Oh, hi. Yeah, I was just saying, I fact-checked myself on the Reddit thing. ah Our roller coasters said Alpine slides are not credits.
Speaker: So take that for what you will.
Speaker: But everybody can count whatever they want. Yeah, we're not the credit police. just be wrong or right. You just can't count butterflies. Time unfollow our roller coasters. I'm joking. I'm joking.
Speaker: Apparently I've ridden 64 coasters by SBF Visa. that's Not all of them are spinners. Can you celebrate your 6-7? I'm not there yet.
Speaker: Yeah, but when you get there, can you celebrate it? like a huge Maybe because it's SBF visa, it's you know on the same level. Demographic?
Speaker: Demographic slash amount of hilariousness, which is negative. Anyway. Rude. rude Allison, that one we just rode in in Texas, that Skyrangers one, that doesn't go up uncontrolled.
Speaker: Either. It goes up around, down, down, and then that's it. I've ridden four mountain coasters, and I've also ridden four SPF visa spinners. Get on my floor. More than 18 visa spinners. Four SPF as well.
Speaker: Jacob, have you ridden more mountain coasters or SBF visas? Looks like I've only ridden like...
Speaker: I've only ridden like nine visa spinners. Oh, wait, no, sorry. That's nine SBF visa. So that's... Okay, so nine by the company. What's that?
Speaker: I have 64 by the company. I'm not proud of it. i ah Maybe I put something in wrong. I don't see Mars coaster on here.
Speaker: I'll look and how many spinners I have. I want to get to 1,000 credits with less than 10 SPF visas. i Did I miscount my credits? I probably will. I do not see these things at all.
Speaker: Oh no. How many are actually at a like a legit park in the US? not I have... Silverwood has one. Silverwood, which I didn't even get on that one. That's the OG. You literally have to go out of your way to find them. know Nate, that's that's the one where that that's the way one where the ah the spinning s slash directional control it was just the same every single lap round.
Speaker: like like We all face the exact same direction. All four cars as well. I was looking at the others as well. I have 39 of just the spinners.
Speaker: I don't even want to go through an account right now. I just have it on Excel file. Yeah, I'm scared Allison's number because in the time that we have been friends, I feel like she has done more than I have credits. Every other weekend. bet Allison has less than me. It's usually Nate or Mike dragging me onto one, to be fair.
Speaker: You go. you don't have to go. Well, I'm in the car usually. She can't get behind in credits. That's not okay. You willingly got in the car. I got to say i got to stay ahead of Mike.
Speaker: ah She got one that Mike and I both didn't this past weekend because yeah Mike and I were too heavy. oh they like literally a scale and weighed you in front of everybody.
Speaker: Yeah. What? Yeah. So I like had my one foot half off of it and it was working. It said like 210 or something. And I made the mistake of like looking back and like so thought I was good and she was still looking at it. So shit then she looks up and looks at me and she goes, can you put your foot all the way on there? I was like, oh, I failed.
Speaker: but What I should have done was, yeah, and then held the bar in front of me and like pushed up a little bit. But, yeah, it's whatever. Fun fact about that roller coaster real quick, the one that I couldn't ride, it is featured in a drug commercial for Kisemta.
Speaker: Wow. And Nate does not have that credit now. and I don't have it. I've seen it. Anyway, to get back to mountain coasters. Yeah, back to mountain coasters. It's already um encroaching on 830.
Speaker: So we probably should get into listener comments because we had quite a few. We'll start with Chris. He said he has never ridden one yet. What's a good first one to do?
Speaker: Eagle mountain coaster. Wait, Chris? Absolutely not. Oh, it's Chris Leonard. Okay. Yeah. I would say whatever's closest to you. Camelback. Literally Camelback.
Speaker: Yeah, i I could say from experience, Camelback. Or I mean obviously, you have your yeah you get sick if you get to Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge, I will always recommend Goats on the Roof just for the whole. I really like that one. that's it was a wise one Jen would, I really want to see Jen at Goats on the Roof because it's it's just a very Jen experience.
Speaker: She'd be more interested in the Goats. Correct. You know what they have there? goats goats on the roof on the roof it is called the goat coaster it's the greatest of all time coaster my uh just in um when i was just in tennessee i did want to go there and do that one but our second day that we were there it was like snowing snowing like i mind go oh wow Yeah, like we got a Zen ride on Tennessee.
Speaker: Yeah, it was like crazy. we did We got a Zen ride on Tennessee Tornado in such intense snow that my face was like falling off. Like it was so painful. And then they shut down the ride right after. And then my car was like sliding to our hotel. no It was. Yeah, definitely not. We did not make it to the Alpine coasters.
Speaker: So literally the fantasy league, fantasy football league that I'm in with Chris, my name has been this for the last three years. It's Brady's on the roof is the name. That's a good one. All of our names are like have some reference to a coaster. So oh that's awesome. Yeah.
Speaker: there There are several that you can't. I have ridden at least one in the snow. The Park City one. because The ones that ah ski resorts operate in the winter. um and Fun fact I happen to know. Mountain coasters do not have a lower limit on temperature because they just go downhill.
Speaker: ah so some parks Some parks will self-impose a limit but the manufacturers don't necessarily put a limit on it. so You can ride them in in pretty cold weather. And if you want to ride a coaster in the snow, therere there's some really cool videos out there of like coasters like Finland or, you know, these really snowy places in Europe in the snow. And it's kind of it's it's kind of a trippy experience.
Speaker: um Or Taryn. Yeah, I've ridden Taryn in the snow, too. I've seen videos of that right running in a blizzard. I'm like, I want that. I know. I'm like Allison's dream. No, actually, I don't like the cold, so.
Speaker: Maybe not, but that'd be a cool experience. my My one time at Phantasy Land was in the snow, so. My friend Sean's ridden Taron in the snow. I think it was his video I saw of the book. Yeah, probably. yeah probably Go on, Jake. what you saying?
Speaker: I was just saying, when when I was at Phantasy Land, everything was covered in snow. Black Mamba, Fly, Taron. Oh, yeah. I mean, obviously not like Whinges, but. A literal dream.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Adrian. Now there's football talk going on. it go me Well, I could say I did mention fantasy football. in Yeah. I have a DJ. I have Thursday night football on my screen. Nate is very coaster focused on the podcast right now.
Speaker: I am. um i will say on the cold conversation that one in vermont that i rode what there was snow all around it wasn't actively snowing but um it was cool to ride downhill in the snow despite about losing all 10 of my fingers and i think i'm we're gonna try to ride the yeah we're gonna try to ride the other coaster in vermont in a few weeks
Speaker: Killington. but skeington Yeah. Yeah. I heard that's the better one, but it was down for seasonal maintenance. bo and This was January of 20, I think 24, whatever. Killington's an ADG, right?
Speaker: Yes. Yes. Yeah. And then whatever year the Massimoca closed.
Speaker: So yeah, Chris, there's your answer.
Speaker: Um, let's see. Parker said, uh, mountain coasters are definitely fun, especially as someone who loves being in nature. A hundred percent count as credits. hell yeah That is correct. Yeah. I've never done one in like peak fall foliage, which is the idea of this Killington one.
Speaker: and Um, that'd be cool. Excited to see what it looks like. Yeah. Especially Vermont. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: We did, ah i I worked on a ride in West Virginia. ah that That's kind of their their main draw. the The view from the coaster in the fall, that's when we that's when I first went out there to inspect the site.
Speaker: The view at that at that time of year was incredible. Definitely recommend. I'm excited for, I'm in Tennessee now, and I'm excited to see what some of these coasters look like in the fall.
Speaker: Yeah, that um that single rail in Switzerland, I can't remember the name. think, like, it um there's one in Switzerland, I can't remember. The one in Interlaken, right?
Speaker: yeah yeah yeah interlaken or however that's pronounced um at the start it looks like like it it looks like it gets swallowed by the forest like like it just dives headfirst straight into just complete just shrubbery it looks awesome i want to try i want to try it it's crazy like There's some cool landscapes. ah one that One that you could do is if you're a cruise ship person, Royal Caribbean ah owns a mountain coaster in, it's technically in Haiti, but it's kind of one of those towns that's like just the the cruise ship stop. It's in Labadee.
Speaker: ah I believe that's what they call it. Royal calls it too, but there's a mountain coaster there. So that's a cruise ship you can go ride to go get a credit. It's a rare credit, I feel like. I did, yeah. I did see that in the recent Dragon's Tail coaster.
Speaker: Yeah, that one. But the scenery in that one's really cool. Oh, it looks great. Yeah. cra Yeah. Literally the cruise ship right
Speaker: in front. Let's see. two shout-outs for Hawking Hills, actually. ah For the love of the thrill, said love them, and we're totally looking forward to the new Hawking Hills Ohio Mountain coaster. We're to have a lot of people going to do that. Another reason to get to Ohio. Right, Jen? I'm shocked it's taken Ohio this long, all the doozies that are there.
Speaker: me We're not exactly... um' really know for mountains No, I realize that, but clearly they found a way. They put one in Illinois. They can put one in Ohio.
Speaker: Fair. It's Ohio. They're putting it on a heap of trash. I'm just letting it. Wow. That's actually what they did in Illinois. I didn't know if you knew that.
Speaker: yeah That's how Florida's going to get one, too. Florida, the flattest state in the country. Florida's just going to circle a swamp three times. Florida's going to do what that one outmule bob coaster does in Germany. They're going to dig a hole and they're going to make it have massive airtime. I want to go right that thing.
Speaker: It'll be the new polar coaster. They're going to do it. That's what the I4 eyesore is actually going to be. They're going to put a mountain coaster off the top of it.
Speaker: oh Oh, dear. So Meg said controversial take. A good mountain coaster is better than most roller coasters. Oh. Meg famously not a Thuzi. Yeah. That's what means.
Speaker: Well, there is a lot of junk out there when you consider most ones. Honestly. could It could actually be true. If it's a straight fifty fifty yeah I think most of my mountain creds are better than my bottom 50%, probably. So it's not that awful a take.
Speaker: I guess I could see that. like Looking at it like that, yeah. yeah There are coasters like Voyage that exist. Or like an Alan Herschel something. Or Voyage.
Speaker: Hey, speaking of which, or ah guess what coaster just won best wooden coaster at the ah GTAs? It's a rig. It wasn't this one! I'm saying as I hold up my Phoenix at Knoebels shirt.
Speaker: so Honestly, that's going to help Phoenix get love now because that ticket won't be there. And it can be properly rated as just a very, very good coaster. There you go. Anyway, sorry.
Speaker: um Meg also said, also very excited for the new one in Hocking Hills. Yeah, she is. i mean, she went to school out out in Athens, so yeah that makes sense.
Speaker: I'm also going to commute.
Speaker: Are you trying to make it like Athens Greece reference? No. so struggle in Athens Georgia. only took 20 years sailing by boat losing all my crew to get back to Ithaca. Hmm.
Speaker: Next one on the list was JW Coasters. Jason. mom Hmm? He's a fellow coaster cruiser. Oh, okay. um Said, yes, they're coasters and I count them. A good mountain coaster is a combination of your surroundings with the actual ride experience.
Speaker: The one in Glenwood Caverns is probably the best coaster ride I've gotten from one, but the Mustang Mountain one in Colorado had a better view.
Speaker: yeah stra we think about Shout out Glenwood. I love how it's included with admission. It's the rare. yeah Probably the only park right that has an Alpine coaster as a part of their collection.
Speaker: um That has a full set of coasters, yeah. And at Kista, you can ride them. Fair. um you know But that's that's just two mountain coasters versus like a place that's a full like park.
Speaker: Exactly. Shout out the ah the safety video of that ride. i don't know if you're aware of that. Yeah. oh yeah yeah some Some guy does it. hes yeah wow He's ridden a lot of coasters. Real talk. and we loser to me Do you know who's the new voice of Defiance, by the way?
Speaker: No. i Since when? Recently. No. okay so okay so We'll just say it. Coaster Radio is the voices of the the drop tower. okay So now Coaster Studios does the yeah safety video for the Alpine Coaster. I was trying to remember if like i I feel like he told me this.
Speaker: like like or or Or I just... I don't know. I felt like I'd heard that somewhere. Either from him or from somewhere else. El Toro Ryan is the voice of Defiance now. okay yeah So it's like all these like creators are part of it. Yeah. but I want to get Cliffhanger Cliffhanger that doesn't really cliffhang like Defiance does Make it make sense Jeffrey Seabird is the voice of the beast, I know that Oh cool, I didn't know that I didn't know that actually And I'm pretty sure i have a beast Squishmallow and his name is Jeff and I'm pretty sure that's the reason why I'm not confirming that anywhere, that's just my conspiracy theory That's very cute if it's true
Speaker: That's awesome. But I mean, bouncing off that comment, I completely agree. I think the the setting of ah a mountain coaster makes a huge difference as to the experience. And it's interesting to see like the the racing coaster in Pigeon Forge where it's not as much of a nature setting, but it does have this like intimidating presence to it.
Speaker: ah and so And then there's like the Lost Mine coaster, which is a very heavily themed mountain coaster. ah So theyre there are a couple coasters pushing a little bit, pushing the envelope a little bit as to like what that means, what the the setting of it means as far as the overall ride experience goes.
Speaker: ah Lost Mine has to the best theme I've seen on a mountain coaster. It makes the four lift hills more enjoyable.
Speaker: I was going to hate on Rocky Top Mountain Coaster because it feels like you're starting to finally get speed and then you stop and go another lift hill. The Lost Mine does not feel like that. Yeah, I agree. they use the They use one of the lift hills. I think it's the longest one.
Speaker: ah like It's basically an element in itself. like The lift hill is an element because it's so heavily themed. You go through like this tunnel and you get to see all these ah these bears doing mining activities and everything.
Speaker: Bear left.
Speaker: Bear left. I rode Big Bear Mountain again and the audio is working. Sorry. Random comment, but I love i love the audio on that ride. Real quick, did you guys know that there's an Aerie Alpine coaster?
Speaker: Aries Mountain Resort? Aries Alpine Coaster? I did see that. Yeah, that's the one I keep mentioning, but it just hit me that Aries, Aerie Force One, they're not spelled the same way.
Speaker: I was going to say Aries as in... No, like it leave a it's A-E-R-I-E, but I'm now going to call that Aerie Force One Mountain Coaster.
Speaker: So... that That is actually just outside of St. Louis, deceptively. It is just outside of St. Louis, except it takes an hour to get there from like downtown St. Louis. Right.
Speaker: Well, you've got to cross into Illinois. you got Yeah, across the river, but then it takes yeah just a long drive to get there. It's a fun ride, though. Kind of short.
Speaker: Anyway. Right. Now we start getting into the ah longer comments that we sent to me via DM um instead of my little like questions box on the stories where you have like three characters worth in there. ah Brambo said, definitely a cred.
Speaker: Only written one, which is a lost mine, which I think i was I was there when he wrote that. So I got to see that experience for I was there too, I think. Yeah, that was the Dollywood stumble earlier this year.
Speaker: Yep. I thought it was really fun. I think overall the scenery probably matters most. A beautiful landscape to look at or a steep drop off can add a ton to the experience. ah Been to a decent amount of ski resorts that have them, but they're never they've never been operating maybe someday, which is why I kind of chuckled at the ah comment about the ones at ski resorts being open a lot.
Speaker: um Yeah. If you're going on a powder day, maybe your your chances aren't as good. And I know Brambo's a powder chaser. so Yeah. And he was just saying, I think it'd be awesome for one of my favorite local ski resorts to get one, Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia.
Speaker: That's kind of my most local ski resort now, too. So I would not be opposed. Surprise, West Virginia. I do have a lot in Tennessee here. So they only have one and it's the mountain mountaineer state, isn't it? Like, what are you doing, guys?
Speaker: West Virginia, yeah. Is that the Brush Creek? Was that West Virginia? It is, yes. Not that you know anything about that, do you? No, don't I don't know absolutely nothing about how that ride was designed or who did it.
Speaker: go get Go give a Brush Creek Holler. Is that Holler. Yep, that's it. yeah go Go give it some love and let us know how amazing it is. well Those trains, who they look good.
Speaker: Yeah, we definitely went out of our way to go ride that one. and It was a lot of fun. It was like brand new when we rode remember was. you enjoyed it. It was ah even more brand new when I rode it.
Speaker: Well... Sorry to keep flexing. yeah
Speaker: If it hadn't opened yet, does that count as brand new?
Speaker: Oh no, I guess that means our ones at Codalane don't count. Ah, yeah. yeah No plus one for you. Yeah, no plus one for any of your code land. It's okay. We only got two of them out of six.
Speaker: Two out of six is wild. You don't even deserve it at that point. We'll have to do a whole ah recap of that Texas experience. But yeah, a couple of them were ah missing track and station platforms and the park opens in two weeks. I was going to say they open like next week. No, the 26th. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: I think by the time this episode drops, it will be open. Allegedly. Interesting. May or may not be trying to get down to Texas ah in a couple weekends. We'll see. Yet to be determined.
Speaker: ah If you go, let us know how the park is because we have some concerns. Yeah. Slight. Did you hear Circuit Breaker at least?
Speaker: Yeah. okay And Palindrome. Yeah, we got Circuit Breaker and Palindrome. You got the good ones. yeah we We took our hard hats off, set them to the side, and then rode the coaster. yes Oh, wow. And our high-vis vests.
Speaker: Honestly, probably should have done that when I rode Kentucky Flyer earlier this year. don't know if anyone went after Hollywood Nights, but it was ah it still felt like a construction site.
Speaker: Jeez.
Speaker: oh So crazy.
Speaker: Kentucky Flyer. What did I just say? Flying Fox. Jesus. i think I was like thinking I'm like, oh he meant Flying Fox, but I wasn't going to correct you. I did not figure it out. I'm like, what are you talking about? What was wrong with Kentucky Flyer besides having Timberliners?
Speaker: I went, I went a couple of days after everyone from Hollywood Nights went and they had closed it. was like, bro. Yeah, they kind of, it seems like they just opened it for the Hollywood Nights people. That's exactly what they did. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: It's okay, I've written it a few times now. They'll probably just wait until the off-season to finish everything off. That wouldn't surprise me at all. Well, they got it pretty much finished up in between like the two weeks between Hollywood Nights and like when they actually opened it.
Speaker: It looks better now.
Speaker: um So our next comment is from Ethan, and he's got a long comment as well that I'm assuming was in DMs. Yes. um Ethan says, i enjoy mountain coasters for the most part because each coaster has a different layout and and a different surrounding landscape.
Speaker: I also enjoy them for being able to go full throttle and not knowing what's coming next. no full throttle. Is that Six Flags Magic Mountain? um They are absolutely credits as they are gravity fed, even though you control the speed.
Speaker: Energy land, yeah. Yeah. I think the best mountain coaster. B&E any Playland. Oh, coaster. I think the best coasters have at least one of these three things. Great theming, light package, and out of control. Oh, great theming slash light package. Sorry, that was on me.
Speaker: An out of control feeling and beautiful scenery. um If I could put a mountain coaster anywhere, I'd say somewhere going through a dense forest, maybe Michigan's Upper Peninsula. So it gives me another reason to visit there someday.
Speaker: Also, if you want to ask listeners for their favorites, I'd say my top three are Runaway and Branson. Heck yeah, I agree. Bobsled Ride in Jamaica. And Lost Mine in Pigeon Forge. And that's a good top three. i need to I need to see how many... Or I could just ask Jacob. like how many how many How many mountain coasters there are in the in the Caribbean islands of collectively. Because I've gone ziplining in St. Martin before. But that's the closest I've been to doing anything like that in the Caribbean islands. as far as i know it's just the two there's the one i mentioned in labadie which is in haiti um that royal caribbean owns and then there's the one in jamaica the ride in jamaica also has another weekend like suspended ride um okay i'd i'd have to check rcdb but as far as i know those are the only two i'm aware of uh
Speaker: Yes. There might be more in the future. but Because the Caribbean islands are... if there was any if if Really, if there was anywhere to put mountain coasts, the Caribbean islands are... Well, some of them some of them are gorgeous.
Speaker: oh yeah There's 70 North America, 56 10 Canada, 2 Mexico, that would leave only 2 left for the Caribbean.
Speaker: Yeah. Math. Math. I will have to say... with That's boy math. ah with ah With Ethan's comment that Ethan and I raced both times on the Pigeon Forge racing coasters in April, and I'm pretty sure that...
Speaker: I beat him once and he also beat me once. So I think i think that's how it went. But I just had to flex that I did beat him, even though he beat me too. What kind of flex is that then? We tied, I know. i man it f flicks in it that means That means one of the tracks is better. Because Ethan and I are about the same size. so No comment.
Speaker: Jacob did it. One of them is shorter. I know I said no comment, but yeah. Controversial. And then made a comment. Yeah. Nope. um Nope. they're They're tuned so you theoretically race, but...
Speaker: But one side always wins, pretty much. I could kind of notice a difference. Pretty much. i i've I've heard of people winning on both sides, but I think winning on the right side is more difficult.
Speaker: I hear aggressive typing going on. yeah Oh. Yeah. One of the sides of the coaster is shorter. one Oh, okay. Gotcha. Yeah, yeah that's what we meant.
Speaker: um Yeah. So... it's it's It's cool that Ethan has ridden the one in Jamaica. i don't know anyone else that has, personally.
Speaker: Jamaican bobsled is arguably one of the best themes for a mountain coaster, too. Yeah. I just realized that. That's true. Yeah, that is good. That actually is fantastic. Yeah.
Speaker: Hello. What the heck? Hello? Are you there? It rings on my phone or my computer, too. Hi, Alex, by the way. There's your shout-out.
Speaker: Last one from Solar Coaster. Mountain Coaster is some of my favorite models. One of you made my top 50, which is an unnamed mountain coaster in Bavaria, Germany. It's not on RCDB.
Speaker: There was no automatic brakes. It was over 11,000 feet long. Didn't we mention that one already? ah The one I mentioned was at Trevalden in Switzerland. There's another one in Germany.
Speaker: sir Love quick quick turns, views, tiny airtime pops, terrain, all factors. Mountain coaster. I think i think you might have missed that comment there, Brian.
Speaker: i Where? i think it's the part... It's the part that says a certain word that starts I. No, I deliberately missed it. Yeah.
Speaker: No, trust me. I have to think, like, wait, what are you talking about? And then, oh, yep, no. I'll say it. He says it's an insane coaster. No, that's the insane coasters at Grunelon. Mm-mm.
Speaker: Good try, Ryan. I was saying, I'm ready, waiting. He's just saying, insane coaster. Nuh-uh.
Speaker: Brian's so over it. I apologize. Carry on carra Yeah, the 17,000 foot one in Andorra. and so High bucket list forn for solo coaster. Some other big button list bucket list mountain coaster are Glacier 3000. The world's highest roller coaster, Jacob.
Speaker: ah yeah Allegedly. Allegedly. Jais Sledder in the UAE, which apparently is SB&O and has been the last two years, which I did not realize. oh um Single rails and the coolest one of all, Speed Bob.
Speaker: It looks nuts. i think i want I want to ride that one. I think Speed Bob's the one with the airtime hills, right?
Speaker: At Outmeal Bob? Yeah. yeah Oh, yes, yes, yes. That one looks awesome. Looks like Twisted Timbers.
Speaker: Okay, well, see, now I have to look this up. yeah i looks that yeah It's the one with airtime hills. I don't think they have brakes on them because they go back up hills. They don't let people like break or slow down on them.
Speaker: So that way no one gets stuck. That kind of makes sense. Oh, that thing. who
Speaker: Oh, hey, they dug a giant hole into the ground to make it taller. Yeah, there's a few trenches on it i was going to say, I wonder if it's about 13 feet.
Speaker: yes Yes, exactly. It can be done.
Speaker: so the millimeter.
Speaker: So I think the overwhelming consistence consensus of listeners and us is that mountain coasters count as creds. Yeah, and that's how to correct that is the correct opinion. And
Speaker: and a lot of people love them, as they should. For sure. They're fun. Oh, I've seen this one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What I will say about like chasing mountain coasters is ah I think it's significantly cooler than like chasing Visa spinners, for instance, because it takes you to some really cool locations. Absolutely. yeah And they're all unique to like there's no such thing as a cloned mountain coaster.
Speaker: Right. They're all unique to the terrain. Mm hmm. B-suspenners copy-paste. Yeah, we went to some... We really got into like the backcountry in Poland when we did a little our little cred run out there.
Speaker: There was one that was like half a mile from the Czech Republic. Oh, wow. That was kind of cool. But you get to those areas and there's not as much English out there. Dare I say they're the best lift hills in...
Speaker: The whole community, the whole hobby. Yeah, I mean, a lot of them lift those like part of it. like Awesome. Yeah. yeah Just in the middle of the woods, just like chilling, like lounging for like five minutes.
Speaker: Do you guys ever get worried that like any sort of animal is just going to randomly run across it while you're riding it? Oh my gosh, that's my new dream. Like a deer, bear, raccoon. I didn't, and now I will. i want to get hit deer. I always think about it. I'm always like, what if there's like a deer just standing there and it doesn't move?
Speaker: i want to get hit by deer. what if a deer runs across it as I'm going? like i've Have I seen a bear on mountain coaster track? The world may never know. if you hit a cat trouble on the mountain coaster do you get to take the cat home like if it's not it depends on the cat what if it ends up like what if it ends up on it with you and it doesn't it just like jumps over and you fly by and just like catch it and keep going yeah exactly are we talking like a feral house cat this is a serious question or bobcat
Speaker: Wait, are we talking like a feral house cat or a bobcat? A mountain lion? I would like a bobcat. A mountain lion? Can I keep the mountain lion? Mountain coaster lion. Have you seen video of the zipline of the sloth that was on a zipline?
Speaker: What? No, I haven't. Yeah, there's a video. Look it up. like Just a sloth zipline is a person that was ziplining and crashed into a sloth. Google is about to get a bunch of searches of the same thing. Is this on YouTube?
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. Child runs into slaughter. Costa Rica. i mean Costa Rica, wow. Javi, is that you? Javi. Javi would never do a zipline, let's be real. Yeah, let's be honest with probably we just probably fit recently As I speak, I currently have more credits than Javi right now. as Yeah, yeah that's that's the flex you need to be doing. Yes, it is.
Speaker: have right follow You have about one more month of that, Nate. I was going to say, when Joe's trip. Yeah. I'm taking Javi to Japan. We're getting credits. And then he's running us to Korea and China.
Speaker: no Nope. ah Not yet. There could be one day, potentially. Right. Could be. But I don't know. We'll have to see.
Speaker: Yeah, I just, in addition to keeping an eye out for the carts in front of me, i always keep an eye out for wildlife that could get in my way while riding them. If you catch a cat, I want it. Okay, you got kids. distribution system at its finest. You have to name it Talon.
Speaker: Well, clearly. What kind of statement is that? But yes, you can have a cat. If I catch one on a mountain coaster, Jin, you can have the cat. Assuming it's not a wild cat that might kill me.
Speaker: no it's proud No, if it is the wild cat that might kill you, I still now i makele want it. I guess if I catch any feline on a mountain coaster, Jen can have it. There's a baby cat that just grows up to be a lynx or something.
Speaker: yes She can still have it. Nate's already found one cat in the wild and gave it to somebody. so Exactly. Nate is the master of the cat distribution system. Nate little nateep is the cat distribution system. yeah I'm assisting the cat distribution system. um I'm just asking you to break time into wild Wild cats are the best. I just searched on Google like wildlife on Alpine Coaster if there was any stories. And of course, now they get the whole AI overview.
Speaker: So we got ah common sightings, birds, deer, and small forest mammals occasionally seen in the wooded areas around it. hu Large animals, Jiminy Peak Mountain Coaster have captured bears near their mountain coaster tracks.
Speaker: Mm-hmm. Themed attraction. Some locations blend rides with actual animals such as goats on the roof. Hey. like that. Goats on the roof, kind of yeah got mention.
Speaker: What is happening, Kyle? I was trying to not say anything while I did that and not disturb any being said. But it's cat giving the old razzle dazzle. All right. Bryant is ready to go. Do we have any other final thoughts on mountain coasters?
Speaker: They're fun. Go ride them. Yes. yes I endorse this message. Yeah, I also endorse this. yeah Something us northerners have over Florida. That's the one thing we got over there.
Speaker: Nate, you have the loudest keyboard. I know I do. i'm sorry yeah i used to think I did, but yeah. the bruce all night of the mine but Is your mic right next to the keyboard?
Speaker: No, my keyboard's here. My mic is over here. oh
Speaker: By the way, happy birthday, Jen. Thank you. Happy birthday, Voltron. Happy birthday, Jungle Speed. Jungle Speed, baby. Heck yeah. cycle weve We have close birthdays, actually. It was just my birthday, too.
Speaker: Oh, happy birthday, Jacob. What's your birthday? The 12th. On the 13th. Oh, nice. So close. Yeah.
Speaker: I just turned 31, too, so I think one year off or a couple years off. just turned 31. One year, one day. We're all in our 30s now, right? No, you're a baby. You're still a baby? Nate's baby.
Speaker: yeah That's why he was crawling out of the bar. ah Hey, they call it a bar crawl, okay? Are you turning 30 in the next year and a half?
Speaker: No. Damn, so we're never going to be in the 30s together. that That's depressing. I turned 30 in 2030. You in 2000? Holy, I am old. Jesus.
Speaker: You know, I'm right behind you, Bryant. I know, i know. You're kind of crazy. yeah All right. Well, I guess that brings us to the end of the episode. Thanks, Jen.
Speaker: Thanks, Jen. Thanks, Jen. didn't have to say it that time.
Speaker: forgot my assignment, guys. that's my that's that's my official answer That's my official answer to that line. Thanks, Jen. Nate got too good at saying it and now I forgot that it's my thing to say. Yeah, I only fill in for you.
Speaker: I will never say it if you were here. But I will cue you to say it if I have to. yeah and i will And I will still say thanks, Jen, to Nate. And you'll still get that cat that I catch on the mountain coaster. Amazing.
Speaker: ah Gotta give a big shout out to our Patreon members. Thank you to Chris, Jeff, Alexander, and Barbara. um We're recording something for the Unhinged episode tomorrow. or The Unhinged episode. The Unhinged tier tomorrow.
Speaker: um Highly recommend if you want to see our... shenanigans with my coworker who has been on like maybe the coasters at Kings Island and nothing more. um It's going to be a good time.
Speaker: By the way, Barbara i probably won't listen to this because she does not count mountain coasters as credits. Famously. ah I didn't i know. so the on the coaster about barbara On the Coaster Cruise, I wrote a question just for her. It was who has more coasters, Czechia or Energylandia because she loves Energylandia.
Speaker: And the answer is Cheki, and she got it wrong. And she's always giving me crap because she's like, oh, you can't count mountain coasters because they have 16 in Chekia. Wow. correct me if i Correct me if I'm wrong. Barbara prefers Zadra to Hyperion, right?
Speaker: oh She prefer prefers Zadra to every other coast in the world. Zadra is like her child. She can stay. yeah She also has a corgi named Alice. Yeah, she does have corgi. Oh, I love that. And her corgi is super adorable, so she can also stay because of corgi.
Speaker: And because she supports the podcast, so we love her. love for And does ridiculous travel inspired by and us Yeah, literally. She as she was going to potentially come. She was trying to come see me in the Netherlands and like with a bunch of other travel. And I was like, girl, she was telling me all of it. I'm like, please don't.
Speaker: Please don't. like I love you, but your life is wild. i will see you the next time I'm here. She ended up not being able to do it, but I was like, oh my gosh. Your life is exhausting to me. I love it.
Speaker: ah It's so impressive. but then that's Please stay alive financially. Yeah, literally. I'm like, I'm dying over here. Well, thank you to everybody for listening in Thank you to Jacob for joining us once again. yeah Of course, thank you guys.
Speaker: Yeah, for our record-breaking podcast episode. You know, that I think about it, it's very fitting. Everybody is here for episode 6-7. Hey! Hey!
Speaker: So we're all going to be here for the night and two episodes too, right? I can't wait to be here for episode 69. Indeed. Heck yeah! It'll be a nice episode. It's going so nice. Yeah. Well, until then... After Dark episode, anyway.
Speaker: Oh, and also based on when this is posting, I'm pretty sure nominations are currently open for the Inverted Creative Awards. Nominate. Make sure to go put your nominations in when I ah figure out how to do that.
Speaker: Well, by the time this posts, I will have figured out how to do that. But until then, hashtag keep thinking and inverted and we will see y'all next time. Bye. Bye, guys. i
