EFR 974: Everything You Know About Gratitude Is WRONG! How to Rewire Your Mind for Happiness and Resilience with Jamie Hess

What if everything you've been taught about gratitude is wrong? Jamie Hess, media personality, keynote speaker, recovery advocate, and author of The Gratitude Shift, joins us to challenge toxic positivity, the limitations of gratitude journaling, and the belief that you have to hit rock bottom before you can change your life. Drawing from her near-fatal battle with addiction, her mother's cancer journey, and her own transformation through recovery, Jamie reveals how to build mental resilience, develop authentic gratitude during life's hardest moments, and reframe adversity without denying your emotions. Jamie explores the psychology of happiness, the dangers of comfort and entitlement, raising resilient children, overcoming negative self-talk, and why money and success don't guarantee fulfillment. She also shares practical gratitude exercises, mindfulness techniques, the power of service and human connection, and how confidence, personal responsibility, and intentional discomfort can help you reset your mindset and create lasting change.
