Speaker: Is he, let me ask you this then, is Pirlo the worst manager in Juventus history? Appointing Andrea Pirlo as the manager of Juve is turning out to be the worst decision in Juventus modern history. And the reason I say that is because Del Neri, Ciro Ferrara, that was a different Juve, that was a big Juve trying to recover from Calcioppoli. This is a Juventus who have won nine Serie A titles in a row, who've played two Champions League finals.
Speaker: The following is a clip from this week's Italian football podcast.
Speaker: And I come back to what I said, my concern I said in the first day with Pierlo is, I don't think, and this is something you can't teach, this is something that doesn't matter how much experience you've got, I don't think he has the personality to be a manager. You know, I've told this story a number of times about when I interviewed him, and he was my hero as a player, and I remember I didn't be thankful for the day that I had an interview with him, but he was really pretty dull, very quiet. For someone that had so many amazing stories to tell, he didn't tell any great stories from his career.
Speaker: And you know, very monotone and I came away from it thinking, you know, this isn't somebody that can inspire his team.
