Exploring Pisces Season

00:00:15
Speaker
the craft. So get in, witches, as we dive into the ethereal waters of Pisces season, exploring the dreamy realms, intuitive energies, and transformative tides that this water sign brings to our lives.
00:00:48
Speaker
So, you know, I guess we have a special guest on this episode today. It is your stomach. My stomach and my cats who are being assholes right now. I can sometimes hear the little jingly bells.

Military Move Mishaps

00:01:00
Speaker
Yeah, we are officially in TLF, which for non-military listeners, that means temporary, what, lodging facilities? I think so. I think that's what it says. It's something like that. It's basically like a house hotel that they put us in until we move, because our house is empty. There's no furniture, no food, because they packed my pantry, which
00:01:27
Speaker
be exciting to unpack when I get there because I didn't clean it out before they packed because I didn't expect them to do that because they never have in the past. So hopefully we don't have any like moldy bread or whatever when we unpack, which honestly is par for the course for military moves. If you've
00:01:45
Speaker
are not in the military and have never done that. Our last move to Germany, the first time we went there, they packed an entire bag of garbage out of the trash can. They pulled the bag out of the trash can wrapped it in paper and put it in a box. There's always something random, I feel like. You never go through a move without a random thing. Yeah, that is true. Yeah.
00:02:11
Speaker
shit like it's great because like you have somebody pack your shit for you and you don't have to pay for it. And yeah, but then also to sometimes it's like, you're not working with the highest caliber, like, no, the guys and it's just like, I remember one time we had this mover.
00:02:27
Speaker
they were packing up our grill. And, you know, we cleaned the grill, right? But still, if you use your grill a lot, you're it's never going to be like 100% like no, it's clean. Yeah, this little asshole that this fucking moving guy
00:02:45
Speaker
And mind you, this is like one of the last days where you're about to be gone, everything. He takes the grill rack off of the grill, carries it through our house, drops it on my freshly cleaned carpet. And it's just an entire, like the whole grill marks everything on the carpet. And I had to stir and scrub all the grease out of my carpet. And I'm like, wow.
00:03:14
Speaker
why would you bring this through the house? Is like, what the fuck? Why would you not wrap it in the backyard with the grill? Yeah, why? No one knows why they do the things they do. Doesn't make sense. Doesn't make sense. Yeah, you'll, you'll have like just like a pyrex of brownies that you forgot you made and you'll find it.
00:03:34
Speaker
I really hope not. I feel like the only surprise might be the pantry. Like it was the only thing I didn't go through because they've never in the past packed our pantry. Like if we had canned goods, we were the last time they told us just take them out and put them on the counter and they would pack those, but they wouldn't pack like most pantry items. And we were like, okay. So this time I was like, I'm not even worrying about it. I'll, you know, clean it out, donate like whatever is good. And then we'll go from there. When we like get there, I'll go to the grocery store.
00:04:04
Speaker
Nope, now I'm going to have a pantry of things, but I don't really know. Yeah, you'll be surprised. Also, just a small disclaimer, my dogs are officially awake. They like to sleep in. Arun is pushing his buttons because we have that. Oh, I heard that. Did you? He was like, mom.
00:04:25
Speaker
He also likes to tell me all done if I'm doing something and he wants me to play, or like snuggle or whatever. He'll be like, Mom, all done. And I'm like, buddy, I'm not all done. Like, I'm busy. I got to wait a little bit. Yeah, he's like, No, that is really cute. If you hear a little like voices in the background, it's just his little buttons that he is pushing. So cute. I guess we'll let that slide.
00:04:50
Speaker
Yeah, he's pretty precious. So we have lots of guest stars on the podcast today. But we are not talking about moving and guest stars. What are we talking about?

Humor and Overthinking in Pisces Season

00:05:03
Speaker
It's Pisces season. It's Pisces season.
00:05:07
Speaker
So it would not be a Zodiac episode if we didn't start off with what the cut has to say because they're always hilarious. They never let me down. So starting off strong with the cut, like what they say about Pisces season, they said, by the time Aquarius season comes to an end, your brain is likely getting tired. You've been dreaming up solutions to all the world's problems, imagining a thousand different futures and thinking yourself in circles.
00:05:34
Speaker
it's exhausting to be a visionary so when picey season finally arrives at the tail end of winter you can stop over thinking everything and instead remember how important it is to feel and what i love so much about the cut is and i've said this on one of the other zodiac episodes is that every season they're like
00:05:54
Speaker
this is the best season. They're so great. You get to do all these things because of all these traits for this like particular zodiac sign. And then they shit on the one like previously. And this one I feel like is the nicest one they've done so far. Because they're just like you just like the whole season you were just overthinking and imagining and now you get to relax a little bit. They called Capricorn sticks in the mud. Rude. It'll be interesting.
00:06:23
Speaker
to see what they, whenever we go to from Pisces season to Aries. I'm still, I'm betting that they're going to be like, now that you're done crying over everything, like it's going to be something crazy like that. Yeah.

Empathy and Emotional Balance in Pisces

00:06:37
Speaker
So for Pisces season, the sun moves into Pisces from somewhere around February 18th to the 20th and it runs through March 20th. Pisces are the 12th and final astrological sign in the zodiac.
00:06:51
Speaker
The element for Pisces is water. And water is the element of feeling and intuition. And Pisces are said to be connected to the emotional currents running beneath the surface, where their focus leans more towards the realm of the heart. That's really cute. Their quality is mutable, meaning that they're flexible and adaptable. Their polarity is yen or feminine. And the ruling planet, traditionally, is Jupiter. And in modern astrology, it's listed as Neptune.
00:07:20
Speaker
And this is important because Neptune is the planet that is known for compassion and oneness, which falls into the characteristics of Pisces that we're going to talk about later. Their symbol is two fish. Their birthstone is aquamarine. And for their tarot key, they are represented by the moon. And the season is just prior to the spring equinox. And it's the late winter in the northern hemisphere if you are in this
00:07:59
Speaker
The theme of this season is centered around empathy, intuition, and spirituality.
00:08:06
Speaker
Pisces season is often described as being a roller coaster ride for your emotions, and the way that you can keep your emotions balanced is to reconnect with your inner self while still taking part in meaningful connections and social gatherings. This season is filled with compassion and generosity, and it serves as a reminder that honoring your emotions, compassion, and those things that are bigger than you as an individual don't make you weak, but rather teach you new ways to face the day-to-day and strengthen your character.
00:08:34
Speaker
And so some real quick mythology and symbolism related to the constellation. So the constellation of Pisces shows two fish with their tails bound together swimming in opposite directions. And for ancient Babylonians, they identified the constellation with their goddess Inanna or in the planet Venus.
00:08:53
Speaker
And in Greek mythology, the constellation is also associated with Aphrodite. And the mythology here is that Aphrodite was hiding in the reeds of the banks of the Euphrates with her son Eros, who is also I guess known as Cupid, when two fish swam past them and brought them to safety. And I don't know
00:09:10
Speaker
why they were hiding or what danger they were in, but that's just what it says on the research that I did. So I don't know a ton about the pathology to understand kind of why. I probably should have looked that up separately, but I didn't. The constellation itself is in a part of the sky, anciently known as the sea, and this part of the sky also includes Cetus the whale
00:09:34
Speaker
Andromeda and Capricorn, which if you'll remember from our Capricorn episode, the symbol of the Capricorn is the half goat, half fish. So it kind of makes sense why they are also
00:09:46
Speaker
seen in this part of the sky known as the sea, even though they're an earth sign. And then as far as symbolism and interpretation within the zodiac, as Tiffany mentioned at the start of the episode, this is the twelfth sign in the last of the zodiac. And this is important because this is where the individual desires merge with a larger whole that goes beyond the limitations of our own human experience. And so it's kind of like, if you think about the zodiac signs starting off with Aries, and we'll go into that
00:10:14
Speaker
more in detail next month. But that's like kind of the start, you're like, it's like a very young, it's very like, like childlike energy, right? And then by the time you make it through that whole, you know, zodiac wheel, if you will, when we end with Pisces, it's kind of really going beyond those individual desires of like an Aries and that ego and to understanding more of why we're here and going
00:10:39
Speaker
into the spiritual realm and everything like that. So anyway, enough of that. So moving into their characteristics, Pisces are emotionally oriented to the point that they will typically feel everything deeply. And the stereotype that we often see associated with this sign of the Zodiac, that they are cry babies whose tears are triggered
00:11:01
Speaker
by any and every situation. They are believed to have a uniquely spiritual outlook and are said to be able to see beyond the individual or even a community and into the cosmic makeup of that individual or group. A Pisces is believed to leave with their heart and thinking clearly is not something that is easy for those with Pisces placements. It's likely that there will be sudden rise and fall within your moods and sensitivity will be at an all-time high.
00:11:26
Speaker
People born with Pisces placements are known to have a powerful imagination and intuition. And there's also an emphasis on a strong social conscious, they are known to self selflessly help others and put their own needs aside to help others.
00:11:41
Speaker
Pisces are known for being able to accept people as they are regardless of their imperfections, and they're deeply empathetic and are extremely sensitive to the emotional state of other people. Pisces people are often described as dreamers and enjoy things that have an angle of escapism, so this could be something like reading fantasy or science fiction, reading or writing poetry, and are often musically inclined. Because they are a mutable sign, Pisces people
00:12:07
Speaker
find it easy to adapt to their environment and to find ways to identify with the people around them. Individuals with a lot of Pisces placements often have an inner private world that they can retreat to that is very special and precious to them. And they're known for being able to understand things deeply and are often drawn to magic, mystery, and spirituality. They're happiest when they have someone or something they can be devoted to. And while they need their alone time, they need to also have time with others. Pisces people need to be
00:12:37
Speaker
careful though not to let people take advantage of them and they need to make sure that they are setting appropriate boundaries. They also need to be aware of their need for escapism and not to form addictive behaviors as a method of escape when they are going through a difficult time and they need the feeling of euphoria that they may have previously received from more healthier activities like reading and listening to music.
00:13:00
Speaker
And just a side note, if there is background noise on this one, I mean, obviously I already talked about the cats and the dogs and stuff. The heater, when it kicks on in here, is like a loud hum. So if you guys hear that, maybe. It's cold. Negative one, okay. I need the heat.

Pisces in Art and Love

00:13:20
Speaker
So moving into the life, their love life, their career, because this sign is known for its willingness to help others, their caring nature, their creativity, and an ability to understand people, they do really well in artistic fields. But it's also believed that due to having a strong intuition and a blend of spirituality and empathy,
00:13:39
Speaker
Pisces are often said to be drawn towards careers in defense, medical, catering, and even social services. They, however, are not typically a great fit for jobs that involve politics. A major concern for Pisces is that they often will mix their professional and their personal lives, which could lead to damaging their professional life in the end.
00:14:00
Speaker
In terms of relationships, it's said that a Pisces is more in love with the idea of love than they are actually like being in love itself. And while this is a common theme, I will say this area was a little like all over the place in terms of Pisces specifically. And just to show like what I mean, these are like, like the following are going to be all examples that I came across regarding
00:14:24
Speaker
Pisces, like relationships and like their love life. It's literally all over the place. So love is often viewed as a fairy tale romance by a Pisces filled with happy endings and they'll often wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to their relationships.
00:14:40
Speaker
Pisces are said to often fall in love easily and in more superficial ways because they tend to enjoy the thrill of the chase. So one source stated that often a Pisces will automatically be drawn to someone based on their looks, but when they start a relationship with them that they'll look for an out like an easy out because they lose interest once they've gotten that person.
00:15:01
Speaker
So it's like, it's literally all about the chase and not the end result. Another source said that Pisces will fall in love easily, but they have a harder time falling out of love because they're like such emotionally, like an emotionally and complex sign. So like, it's like kind of contradicting being like, Oh, they just like the idea of love. Oh, they like to stay in love. So like, I feel like everything I read in this section was so all over the place.
00:15:26
Speaker
Yeah. And I was reading too that people with Pisces placements are capable of deep intimacy and devotion, but not all signs are there for that level of intimacy. And so I think that can create some issues as well. Right. And I was also reading that they're best suited for someone who appreciates their sweet and caring nature. Pisces do not make the most faithful lovers, apparently, either.
00:15:50
Speaker
I died when I was reading this. Though they are known to be the most romantic lovers of the Zodiac, apparently. That's sweet. There's something there. There's something. And this sign in particular is noted to be unnecessarily jealous and possessive to the extreme in a relationship. Jeez, who the hell wrote this article? Because honestly. These are like three or four different articles that I was just like, what? Somebody really got burned. I know. They're like, fuck these Pisces.
00:16:21
Speaker
Yeah. So I was reading about a little bit about compatibility and they said that Pisces are most compatible with cancer, Scorpio, Virgo, Capricorn, which surprised the hell out of me, Libra and Taurus. And when I was reading about this, it said that both cancer and Pisces share a love of intimacy and are capable of deep emotional bonds. And the same is true for Scorpio and Scorpio can also be protective and help Pisces truly express themselves.
00:16:49
Speaker
Virgo also is one that I wanted to highlight here because they are the opposite sign of Pisces and that means that they are natural partners for each other and are often seen as opposite sides of the same coin. Now as far as lease compatibilities, Pisces are lease compatible with Leos, Aquariuses, and Gemini.
00:17:10
Speaker
Interesting.

Emotional Expression and Self-care

00:17:11
Speaker
So let's talk about how you can harness Pisces season energy. During Pisces season, you have the power to open up and express yourself freely. You might find that you care more about everyone's feelings, yours included, and you'll be more drawn to holding deep and meaningful conversations. You should take the time during Pisces season to really like reacquaint yourself with your deeper emotions, allowing yourself to feel them and recognize what's making you feel the way that you do about a situation.
00:17:39
Speaker
Because of the emotional energy of this season, you should hold off on any planning, maneuvering, and negotiations, saving them for a later date. But this isn't to say that you shouldn't make any decisions during Pisces season. Still make decisions as necessary, but remember that your emotions could be skewing those decisions, so make sure that you're spending the time to really think them through.
00:18:01
Speaker
because this is the final season in the astrological calendar, this season is the perfect time for a little self care for your soul. So this will vary from person to person depending on each individual's needs. And like some of the examples and all the different like research that I was doing were really funny because the like the relationship stuff, they were kind of like all over the place. So it'd be like, listen to songs that really make you cry. Like this
00:18:26
Speaker
But some examples could be like letting your friends and family know how much you care about them, listening to music that like really does bring out your emotions.
00:18:34
Speaker
letting yourself have a moment to cry and release any hurt or stress that you've been feeling. Just letting yourself really feel any emotion that surfaces this season, but do so in a healthy way. Make sure you are taking care of yourself. Pisces season is great for all the water signs, which if you don't know, that's cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. And these signs will have a sense of relaxation while also being able to express themselves naturally.
00:19:02
Speaker
But on the flip side of that, fire signs like Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries will struggle with all the feelings and the emotions that this season brings. It may open up old wounds, meaning that there will be an emphasis on a need for care and healing for you this season. So take care of yourself, Samantha. I'll try.
00:19:24
Speaker
And then of course we like to end these on famous people in that zodiac sign.

Famous Pisces

00:19:30
Speaker
So some famous Pisces are Catherine O'Hara, Albert Einstein, Elizabeth Taylor, Jenna Fischer, Rob Lowe, John Bon Jovi, Rihanna, Millie Bobby Brown,
00:19:41
Speaker
Emily Blunt, Daniel Craig, Smokey Robinson, Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Eva Mendez, Queen Latifah, Kesha, Shaquille O'Neal, Rashida Jones, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Bruce Willis, Drew Barrymore, Rebel Wilson, James Van Der Beek, Josh Groven, Benji and Joel Madden,
00:20:04
Speaker
Cindy Crawford, Olivia Rodrigo, Liza Minnelli, Camila Cabello, Jessica Beall, Simone Biles, Olivia Wilde. And the best for last is also the time of the year to celebrate Minyungi, which, if you didn't know, is Suga from BTS. So happy birthday, Suga. But also, speaking of Swokey Robinson,
00:20:33
Speaker
This is a perfect time of the year, I guess, to put on his new record and listen to Gasm. Gasm, Gasm. And the guy's like, when would I ever... When would be a good time to listen to this? That's her signature song. We should play that as our outro, is what we should be outro. Can we get the rights to Gasm, please?
00:20:57
Speaker
Yeah, if you guys have not heard it, it's worth one listen through because it's wild. Please go on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, whatever, and search up Smokey Robinson's new song because it's something. It's wild. But that is a spicy season.
