In this episode I chat to Emma Bestley co-founder of Yes Colours, a new paint company revolutionising the paint industry with their sustainable packaging and beautiful array of colours. We talk about how from a conversation, came an idea about changing paint tins to a more sustainable solution, bringing this creative idea to life and how Emma's rare condition Grapheme Colour Synesthesia has lead to a creative colourful life. We chat about growing the business, working with a partner, finding some life work balance, Instagram, Tiktok and more. It's a fun episode full of great insights and Emma is just such a positive great person to chat to. I have used Yes Colours for a few projects and I'm in love with the intensity of the colours and also the ethos behind this small but mighty brand.
Emma is Co-Founder and Creative Director at YesColours, a paint brand she started alongside John Stubbs during the pandemic. Affordability, community and the ‘democratisation of colour’ are at the brand’s heart, which aims to enable people to be confident in the colour choices they make. Committed to sustainability, YesColours’ innovative eco-friendly paints are packaged in fully recyclable pouches to cut consumer waste and reduce the number of paint tins going to landfill. Emma has previously worked in museums, fashion buying and events within the media industry.
