Speaker: 48 % of nonprofit CEOs say they've been pressured to reframe how they publicly describe their work. Now, if you run communications, that pressure That didn't land on their desk. It landed on yours.

Speaker: I'm Shane Lucas, 30 years as an organizer and 11 running a design and brand communication studio called A Great Idea. For the last two years, I've watched the language of this sector change, one careful sentence at a time. And the pressure's real. 37 % of nonprofit leaders face legal challenges, and another 40 % were concerned for staff and board safety.

Speaker: And most of you, you understand. You made those hard calls. You kept staff safe and the doors open. I mean, I've crafted those careful sentences myself. And so that's not what worries me. But this is.

Speaker: A decision made in fear. It's easy to leave in place. You get good at defending the retreat. But the people we serve? They're still waiting on change. This. is in so many words. Hard truths for nonprofit and mission -driven communicators. Every two weeks, 20 minutes, one approach, and a framework you can run Monday morning. I'll take a position.

Speaker: and invite you to join me. or provide a contrast. First three episodes, they launch Monday, November 9th. Follow In So Many Words wherever you listen. You want change. do You want to move communities to action?

Speaker: But we can do it. And let's say it in so many words.
