Speaker: Hello, citizens, and welcome to another episode of Integrated Dice Managing.

Speaker: Obviously no, Satan. he's like i don't know what you did, it sounded like you inhaled speck of dirt or something and just died.

Speaker: Hello citizens and welcome to another episode of Integrated Dice Management presents this unnamed superhero game that we're doing, playing Masks the New Generation. I am your storyteller, Ron Bjork, and with me tonight is Bill.

Speaker: Hey everybody, I'm Bill. I'm going to be playing Reese, and Reese is sometimes known as Iron Sam. I am six one I am a Virgo, and don't believe in it, and I think Hayden should go next.

Speaker: Okay. Hey, I am Hayden. i am obviously six one thank you. am Capricorn. i am a capricorn I think Frank should go next.

Speaker: Oh, um, I'm Kevin. No, Calix. I'm Calix. I play Frank in real life. How did you do that? i I was distracted by a video I'm about to send you.

Speaker: I'm Frank. Yes, yes, of course. I'm Frank. I pay play Calix. Um... I personally am a Aries, um and I don't hold a whole lot stock in that unless you do and you're interested in dating me, and then I totally do.

Speaker: am single.

Speaker: I'm so alone! I'm a Taurus.

Speaker: um Wait, like the like the gaming console? No, like the um the Pokemon. No, that's a Tetris. No, that's a video game. um Okay, so Bill or Reese, your playbook, the Reformed, has a move that we do when time passes. So going go ahead and get that out of the way. Basically, it's been um about a week since our last adventure, um and you have a move.

Speaker: um Well, you're friends in low places, so when time passes, You're supposed to roll plus your highest obligation. So you would roll 2d6 plus... I think your highest is just 2 right now.

Speaker: Uh, yeah. So plus 2. Okay,

Speaker: two d six

Speaker: A nine. Of course it's a nine. I haven't prepared for this at all. Let's see. On a ten plus, they come crashing into your life with a crisis. On a seven to nine, they call for a favor.

Speaker: On a miss, they don't come knocking yet, but mark an obligation. With them, the debts are getting heavier. Hmm. Favor. So your highest one is is Finch. the What does he do?

Speaker: I think Finch. Let me scroll Isn't that a bird? No. Finch's insider info. c Insider info. Okay. Makes sense. He'd be the he'd be the one i would I would need to keep in contact with most frequently. So makes sense. I'm so obligated. so many obligations. What I'm going to do is, um that's not going to happen right now because I haven't thought of, I don't have an idea for that at the moment.

Speaker: But if I come up with something this session, it'll happen. And if not, it'll happen next session. All right. if something applies to this session, you'll, you'll be getting a phone call. Um, besides that, we are going to be, um, starting with, uh, um,

Speaker: uh, uh, Reese. also known as Ironsand. So Ironsand, you are currently in Principal Powers' office. You just got back from a solo mission. So this was a um a a school-sanctioned solo mission in which you went and dealt with either a Class 1 or Class 2 threat.

Speaker: Remember, Class 5 is the highest that students are allowed to deal with, so we're talking, like, low-end crime, like, yeah you know, at best, they might have enhanced weaponry or minor enhanced abilities, but you want to go ahead and give us just like a random rundown of what what crime you stopped? here're You're explaining this to the principal, you know, tell them what went down, how your mission went. Yeah, yeah, yeah it was just that it was a it was a it was just a ah one.

Speaker: And it was just dealing it was just dealing with some pet petty street crime, that's all. It was... i stopped i stopped a robb I stopped a robbery. That's... you The guy had been hitting up an area. i was i went and went out. I found him.

Speaker: Well, well, Iron Sand, that's I know that you might just think of that as a petty crime, but you helped someone today and you should you should feel feel good about yourself. You know, the the supervillains in town, they're always you.

Speaker: you know, they... they they're there Think of them as big picture heroes, but the ah the... What is it called? The beauty is in the details, and and helping the the small people, um helping the little people on a day-to-day basis is what really makes a difference.

Speaker: And he is attempting to shift your labels. um He is raising your savior, and he wants to lower your your danger.

Speaker: Now, you can... um Let me look at the rules on this, but you can accept that or you can choose to not accept that. um If you accept it accept it, the label shift as as he um you know he said.

Speaker: or you can reject that, which is...

Speaker: okay think I think I've got a roll for that. no well Yeah, reject influence. I've got ah i've got a roll for that. If you want to reject the influence, it's always an option. Yeah.

Speaker: But do you agree with what he's saying about you with the fact that do you have that reject influence role thing? I don't think you took that. I have it on here.

Speaker: On your sheet? Yeah, it's right below mundane. I've got flat 2d6 role and reject influence. So that's if you want to reject it, yeah.

Speaker: Um, so this is him saying, this is how he, he's trying to like change how you see yourself as he's trying to change your, make you see yourself more as a hero and less as ah a villain, basically.

Speaker: Um, uh, I'm going to, he's,

Speaker: He's not really feeling that all but about all about himself lately, so he's he's going to reject it and he's going to say... Well, hold on. You gotta... No, and no, no. Let's see what you roll first.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, that's right. Yeah.

Speaker: There's no pluses or minuses to a reject, right? No.

Speaker: o Okay, so... um On a miss, their words hit you hard. um Mark a condition and the GM will adjust your labels. So, um, you... Oh, I still have the condition from last time. Yes, that stays.

Speaker: um ah So you want to... You know, you want to reject that, but his words hit you hard, you know? So what what do you think that would make you feel? I feel like, you know, probably the most likely one would be maybe guilty or something, but...

Speaker: Yeah, actually it would be. And then he... then I shift your labels. However, um... I believe I don't even have to shift them the way I said they were gonna shift. Because you were rejecting him, but his words hit you hard. So I think what I'm actually gonna do...

Speaker: They hit you hard. Um... I feel like that means your savior wouldn't go up, but there's no reason your danger would go down. Um...

Speaker: I think because you rejected him, like, you...

Speaker: You hear what he says and you wish they were true, but you know you don't think they are, so you you do guilty, your savior goes down, and I think your danger is going to go up, and I just did those for you. Oh, nice. um Yeah.

Speaker: And, you know, he he kind of, like, he's just talking, like, goes on for a little bit. And then finally he dismisses you. You're, of course, in costume. um ah Because you you don't reveal your identity even to the principal. So where do you go now to change clothes?

Speaker: Before you head back to class. What time of day is it? It's, you know, early in the day. It's not even lunchtime yet. Okay, so then probably the... well There should be an empty... and there's In the library, there's an empty room where they keep like the a ah like that the like old-ass equipment from like the old days of school. yeah So he's good that's where he goes.

Speaker: Okay. um So as you are... There's VHS tapes on the wall. There's old recordings of Bill Nye and Magic School Bus. Yeah. Yeah, so as you're in there, like, getting out of your costume... What the hell is this thing? That's an overhead projector, bud.

Speaker: the The door to that room opens. Six plus one, minus two. wonder why it was minus two. Oh, because you had insecure. Interesting. Okay. um You would have passed that if you didn't if you weren't already insecure.

Speaker: Yeah. um Yeah, so the door opens as you're changing, and you just hear the words, oh my god, I knew it. And you look up, oh you know you spin around, are you like, how compromised are you? Are you in your underwear now? or I don't mean compromises in your identity. That's already compromised.

Speaker: I probably... Shit. I'd probably... Kill them. I would probably be already have my shirt off and I'd probably just be taking my pants ah my pants off to switch into my other clothes.

Speaker: um and And just be like, and just feel like oh! Yeah, and you spin around and it's Clara the other day. And she's like, i can't believe it. You're Iron Sand.

Speaker: Oh my god. And she like runs in. She's not even thinking about the fact that she's like, I am yeah you I am just a big fan. like the way i'm I'm going to run past her and then I'm going to shut the door and and you know look out like look outside and be like, what the fuck? No one else is out here. Okay, he's going to shut the door really panicked and lock it.

Speaker: And just like, oh, it's it's it's okay. You know, like i like I said, I'm a big fan. Like, I, you know, you're honestly, like, you're really cool. Like, the way you you used to be so bad, and and and then now you're trying to be better, and it's it's just such a great great story.

Speaker: Okay, first thing is that, oh, dear.

Speaker: ah Okay, so so first thing, he's going to be like, ah we were going to talk after this, but for the first... Can you give me some privacy? oh oh of course, and she like turns around.

Speaker: thanks Thank you! And he's going to very slowly walk of shame past her, and he's going to so put on his his his daytime clothes.

Speaker: Yeah. and And when you're done... Oh, go ahead. Oh, man. Okay, and then he's going to sit down. He's going to say, okay, um I guess we have to talk.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah, let's talk. And she she like she's she's like eyeing your your costume, which is you know probably like crumpled off to the side or something. or in ah in Yeah, it's in like a duff listen in like a duffel bag.

Speaker: like like it's Like it's fucking sportswear, like I'm ready to go to the gym. Uh-huh, yeah. no one to look at that No one will look at that sideways. Yeah. You're like, okay, so...

Speaker: What do you want? but What do you mean, what do i want? i you what do you What do you want? You said you said you you already had a suspicion of who of who i am you know who I am. You know who I am now. What do you want? I mean, I thought I knew you were, I suspected you were you were a hero. I mean, you I noticed a ah couple of times, you know, you you disappeared during drills.

Speaker: um and then And then, well... God, you're fucking weird. Nobody notices when I'm gone. Jesus! And she's like, I know this. he right

Speaker: Okay. the principal Okay. None of our teachers nor the principal has noticed.

Speaker: Oh, Mr. Powers? Oh yeah, well he's an idiot. Like... But also... okay That is somewhat reassuring. I thought it might have just been me. Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, how how did the heck does the the principal of the school not even know who what his students are up to?

Speaker: To be fair, there's a lot of us. i don't i don't I don't want anything from you. you know i just I always thought you were cool, and now you're you're even cooler. and like like How do your powers work? like She she like holds up her ring, and she's like, can you like to disintegrate this or something?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: she she pauses She pauses for a moment, like expecting you to do it, and she's like, that okay, that's cool. um ah No, I don't i don't want... i mean

Speaker: i dissolve I dissolve the ring. she She's like, oh my god, that's awesome. God, I wish you want this back? Uh... You can keep it.

Speaker: He turns it back he ah he turns he turns it back and back into a ring and he puts it into his pocket. Thanks. Um... Well, originally, you know, I was i was just looking for you.

Speaker: I was wondering, there's this concert ah this weekend, and, you know, it's music, you know, the the band with the illusions and stuff. was wondering if you might want to go with me.

Speaker: As, like, a date.

Speaker: I'm sorry, wait, what now? Like, to the concert. I've got i got the tickets. Did... Are you asking me out? Well, it's 2024.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm asking you out. It's not the... You didn't... Haven't you noticed? It's not about... No, it's not about that. It's it's it's not about that. it's

Speaker: I've been meaning to ask this since the whole thing started. Now it's just kind of coming to a head. ah You thought... Why, what made, what made you and start looking up to me?

Speaker: i I used to be a villain. i I hurt people. I didn't know you were a villain, first of all, until, until just now. But, and you're not anymore.

Speaker: But, uh, I don't know, you were just always really cool. you know Even when you're a villain, you know it's not like you were destroying the city or anything. you know you you You were just kind of like... Yeah. i did a lot I did a lot of things. I caused a lot of damage.

Speaker: I never killed anyone, but a lot Yes. Yes. I am trying to make up for it.

Speaker: Well, see, that there you go. i knew there you know I knew there was something something good about you.

Speaker: God, you sound like Claude.

Speaker: i don't I don't know who that is. um Don't worry about it. um

Speaker: Okay, now second. Who? You were asking me to go see who? You know the the band, Musique, the ones that do all the illusions and stuff?

Speaker: Your character would... Oh, yeah! yeah yeah they they didn't they used to go Didn't they used to go by a different name? i don't know. Maybe before they got got their powers, maybe.

Speaker: up

Speaker: Yeah, I... I don't know, it's like Mystique or something, but music like combined... He's going to be – Reese is going to be really awkward because if you can't if you can't tell, this is not like an area that he's used to that he's used to figuring out. So he's going to kind of like, ah yeah, okay, I'll go do a concert with you.

Speaker: okay Okay, great. oh ah ah Real quick though, yeah you understand that nobody knows. You cannot tell Of course, of course, I'll keep your secret. can't write it down. You can't text it to anyone.

Speaker: If you keep a journal, you can't put me in there. Okay, I won't. It'll be our secret.

Speaker: Okay. let' Let's skip the class. I'm... And then, yeah, um so that scene fades, like, you know, presumably I'll exchange numbers.

Speaker: That's the part that's, you know, never um shown is it's like, presumably I'll change exchange numbers. And she's like, you'll pick me up at seven and or whatever, you know, whatever time the concert is.

Speaker: And things like that. And yeah, yeah. So now, let's see, I assume Jaden's not here and didn't stealth in again. Okay.

Speaker: um Jaden's not here yet. So, um but we'll go ahead and go over to Frank. So, so Calix. um Yes. Your good friend, Kevin, who can never seem to remember his name, you know, came running up, you know, ah he he it's lunchtime now. He came and found you at lunch as he usually does.

Speaker: And he was real excited about this, this opportunity for some extra credits for, ah at which initially probably didn't really interest you. But then he mentioned that it was going to be working security at the concert, which, um you know, you...

Speaker: i didn't think you would probably be able to go because you don't, you know, you you couldn't afford tickets and also like, um, uh, you know, who's, who's going ask out a tree person, you know, not that you need a day to go to the concert or anything, but, uh, this way, um, he's like, you know, telling you all about this thing. You get to work security.

Speaker: You'll, you'll get to go any, you know, you'll be allowed anywhere and everywhere at the venue. Um, And he's like, yeah, you just got to got to go ah let Mr. Principal Powers know, and he'll get you on the list if if you want to you want to go. you can you know I'll be the brains, and you can be the muscle.

Speaker: and Awesome. so pay so i i will I will do that. Okay. and And he's like, you he's he's all excited and stuff. um I would have let Jaden do this scene.

Speaker: Do you want to roleplay out going and talking to the principal? We can, if you want to, or we can just move it along. Mr. Powers is sitting in his office. walked up, I'm like... So the way I picture Mr. Powers, he's very um ah plain looking. He reminds me of, have you guys watched Invincible?

Speaker: yeah um yeah the uh the he's like the agent guy um who uh uh not the not the main agent not cecil not cecil basil but the one that gets like that gets his heart like crushed yes cecil's assistant uh i've kept donald ferguson um you know he reminds me of that guy uh Just except he's probably not wearing sunglasses. He's just wearing glasses, wears a suit and just very plain looking, you know, nothing, nothing notewa noteworthy about him really really. Like you would, you would, if you didn't know who he was, like you wouldn't pick him out in a crowd.

Speaker: um And he's sitting at his desk, ah you know, working on whatever it is principals do. I don't even know. um ah working on administrative stuff.

Speaker: And, you know, do you knock on his door or something? Yes. I a knock on his door very loudly with my ah tree hands. Yeah, and he he looks up and says, How do you feel about wooden doors?

Speaker: The thing is, he wasn't born a tree man, you know. But like, now that you have become of the people... So, since I'm trans-species now, um I would think...

Speaker: That I would understand the need to to kill a tree. But you can't do... But, like, every time you look at a door, you're like, damn, I'm looking in the mirror. I could be... Well, like, i imagine I'm, like, what vegans should be, and i am willing to let you be you without, like, dragging my shit into... Dude, you're the people against plastics, except for the wood. god damn it.

Speaker: No, I say what vegans are supposed to be, not what they are. I had a thought about your character while I was listening to the last episode when we were discussing what you eat. And it's like, one you did what if you only ate meat?

Speaker: Like Venus flytraps eat meat, so there are plants that eat meat. and But you're a vegan, but for meat.

Speaker: You're a terrifying tree man, my friend. A terrifying tree man. Honestly, I think your idea of eating the rotten, or not rotten, the the eggshells and all that stuff I think is more creative.

Speaker: Yeah. I think it vibes with the character and of the general idea of the character. Plus you're not a Venus flytrap. He's like, oh yes, Calyx, come on in.

Speaker: And, you know, he um he gets up and goes around the desk and he pulls he pulls the regular chair away from the desk and walks over to a closet and pulls out this large, sturdy, reinforced steel chair with a cushion on it and and moves it in front of his desk. And he's like, have a seat.

Speaker: um i I sit on it. Okay. And it... it it doesn't collapse so you know it's not like your breaking chairs all the time but you know you are a big guy so um he he's like what can I do for you um how are things going with ah with the team you're ah you're on the team with your your friend I I'm 0 wait I'm not supposed to know but with the hero Kevin arm and and saw sand and siphon you guys getting along well

Speaker: Uh, it feels a little forced, but I do realize, well, um it feels a little, how would a tree talk? I don't know.

Speaker: Like, I have been debating that for like a week now. You can't eat spores. Well, no, so i I imagine I still have some sort of functioning trachea in voice box.

Speaker: But would it be more windy a more ethereal, or would it be, like, just a deeper, more, like, earthy sound?

Speaker: I feel like it'd be deeper, um, I don't know, though, because, like, your voice could come from, like, vibrating, it, so, like, woodwind instruments are made from, you know, they make sound from vibrating wood.

Speaker: The reed. Yeah, the weed. Right. um and there read The The reed. And there are deep sounding, you know, really, the you know, like the the bassoon or the bass clarinet, those are both real deep sounds, but then there's also high-pitched sounds, so like, there's already, um, uh, what would you call it? Like, it's logical that your voice could be produced in a similar way as a re- as, as, you know, an instrument.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Um,

Speaker: Well, I imagine my my vocal like passage is still the same yeah yeah as it was before. It might be made out of plant material, but plants can make a lot of different noises. yeah know so I have never heard of plant making noise.

Speaker: They don't make noises on their own, but if you blow wind across them, they can make noise. That is true. If you pinch a blade of grass between your fingers and blow on it, it makes a really high-pitched noise. and Well, which case he'd be like, Hey, how are you? Or he could have a very melodic voice.

Speaker: The description for Groot, the the way he talks, is that is that his ah vocal cords are all hardwood and don't like to move around, so it only makes the one phrase.

Speaker: Well, I guess. The original Groot could talk, though. Like, normally. Okay.

Speaker: and I think I Am Groot was um a MCU invention.

Speaker: It is.

Speaker: no um I guess I'll just hold off until next week until I've had more time to think about it. um In which case, I'm just going to continue to talk like a normal self. Buy a kazoo and only speak through the kazoo.

Speaker: It's be the most annoying thing ever. Yes, don't do that. Hi, Principal... Whatever the fuck name was. Powers? Powers. Hi, Principal Powers. I'm doing well.

Speaker: ah the the The team is... um Performing... That's the best I got. i I'm still confused, honestly, as to what this team is supposed to be.

Speaker: Like, I appreciate being with um the superhero, Kevin. ah

Speaker: The distinction must be made, Mr. Powers. course However, the Iron Sand gentleman and Siphon seem to both be a bit of an odd bunch as far as characters are concerned.

Speaker: um so I don't know how well the the the team is going to function long term, but it's still early or the days. But I feel like we're doing well for what is.

Speaker: Yeah, so far so far you you guys have been doing pretty good. um So was there a reason you wanted to see me? There probably was, but I forgot about it while we were talking about my voice. I'm going ask about the um security position.

Speaker: Oh, let me ask you a question. Yeah. So, can you hear my voice change when I'm hitting my vape? Yes. yes I wonder if that should be the voice change.

Speaker: ah you're just You're just going to use that as an excuse to just vape a shit ton, aren't you? Don't do it, Frank. Your lungs won't forgive. That's what you're going to do. Yeah. i What was the question? i forgot.

Speaker: You were just going to say you were interested in the security thing. oh Oh. So Kevin came to me and mentioned a special assignment, some extra credit.

Speaker: Oh, yes, yes. the The security position at the concert. Yeah, um that's that would be this this the so Saturday evening. um And we're not expecting any trouble there, but there the ah um the the musicians did request a little bit of security.

Speaker: ah And... While we're certain there will be other heroes in the crowd, ah you and Kevin and a couple other students will be taking care of you know security. your Your jobs would be, well, if you're if that's what you're wanting to do, your job would just be to make sure everything goes well, make sure no one um you know no one's stealing concessions or keeping people from keeping people off the stage who shouldn't be on the stage, those sort of things.

Speaker: Do I get to to wave the beep beep at people? ah if If you would like, yeah, you can you can work the um the the line for sure. That would be a fun... I would like to play the beep beep.

Speaker: All right, well, let me just put you down for ah for ah front security. And he he writes some notes on on a piece of paper, and then he's like, all right, well, um here's... And he he hands his hands you a ah little badge that says security.

Speaker: And he's like, just make sure you wear that when you get there. And, um well, yeah, I guess you kind of have... is it and don't you Is it a lanyard, or is it, like, just a little clip?

Speaker: um You know what? It's probably a lanyard. Yeah, he puts on the lanyard now, and then every time he sees someone, he just sticks out his hand and goes, beep, beep, and then walks off.

Speaker: They'll give you your beep beeper when you get there. i you want to beat beat might have been That might have been the most adorable thing i think I've ever heard you say. I'm not even saying it ironically. That was fucking adorable.

Speaker: ah We switch to another um school scene. We're in a classroom. um We've got Max and Reese. You happen to be in this class as well.

Speaker: Calix, if you want to also be in the class, there's no reason to say, you know, to make you be on your own. um And i you it is speech class. I don't know this moment.

Speaker: Frequently, you know, in speech class they make students give speeches and among a couple of other students, Max, it's his day for his speech and um they were supposed to write a speech about something they were passionate about.

Speaker: And I know that, well yeah, yeah, that never got to happen in speech class. They always give you a terrible subject, but you got to choose the subject. whatever you're passionate about. And, you know, the first student, um, they were passionate about, um, this, this great game that came out a few months ago, Baldur's Gate 3.

Speaker: Um, yeah everyone in class agreed with it. Um, another student is passionate about, uh, hamsters and they, they even had like, um they They brought their pet hamster in and showed it off to everyone.

Speaker: The teacher was a little... We had that one kid in the class that's that's during the Bulgur Gate 3 conversation. He's like, I don't know. I played Man Spider. I liked Man Spider. Man Spider.

Speaker: Yeah, you know, man shoot to wider the Man Spider is a really popular hero in ah Halcyon City, and his video games sell they sell like hot cake, or whatever that phrase is. Cake hot in this world.

Speaker: Well, Spider-Man is a fictional character created by... Are you okay? Yeah.

Speaker: Well, no, Spider-Man, the character, as a fictional character, he exists in this universe. People don't really care for him because, like, first off, his powers don't make any sense. Like, if you got bit by a radioactive spider, we all know what happens. You turn into a manned spider, not the other way.

Speaker: And also, if the spider was radioactive, it would have killed him. he was like So, yeah, clearly it needs to be a magical spider. But, you know, whatever. that That's, like, Marvel had to do what they had to do.

Speaker: They couldn't, you know, Man's Spider itself was already copyrighted, so. Oh my Marvel is a thing in our universe. This is the real this is the real world, Bill. Marvel is thing. Man's Spider's copyrighted?

Speaker: Man Spider is um is a trademark by The Man Spider. um we're in z cat right The great hero. Hey, Jaden's here.

Speaker: Well, Jaden, you missed the scene where I kind of NPC'd you.

Speaker: I don't think he can hear you. He's coming in right now. Yeah, he's coming in.

Speaker: Hey, it's Jaden. Welcome, Jaden. Welcome, Jaden. It's me. Can you me? Yes. Well, I just MPC'd you.

Speaker: You've got the job as security at the... the ah the concert that's coming up. um And you got you got your boy Calyx on duty with you.

Speaker: ah so So yeah, we're we're in speech class and now it's time for it's Max's turn to give his speech on the topic he's most passionate about or a topic he's passionate about.

Speaker: I hope you're ready for this, Hank. Yeah. I'm very ready. ohie Listen, I'm so – hey, hey i'm like I'm ready to listen. um I'm going to write it everything down. i will say this is a... Jayden, you're going to want to write that write this one down. i'm gonna this go I think we will say that Reese is the only one in here only because um this is a semi-scripted event.

Speaker: So, yeah. Go for it. I'm totally here as well. okay

Speaker: Alright, so I don't have like a whole speech prepared out of game. um I mean, I could have. I really fucking could um But I guess it... Alright, so at the conclusion, I give like the the summary, like the synopsis.

Speaker: Just like, too long, didn't read. Here's your version. and TDLR. Oh yeah. And I say... So to wrap it all up, supers, because of their innate ability...

Speaker: will naturally rule the world, while Mundanes, unfortunately, will, you know, continue to live life as we currently as we currently are.

Speaker: um But just like we've shown in the past, the powerful will rise to rule. Reese is gonna throw his hand up. He's not gonna wait to be called. He's gonna be like, yeah, that's that's a terrible thing.

Speaker: That is a terrible thing. In that kind of a situation, what's stopping the heroes from from just deciding we don't need them anymore, that they don't need them anymore? ah I think it's inaccurate and not very um well thought out for you just to say that it's terrible. I mean...

Speaker: Yes, there are villains, there are supers, um but if you haven't noticed, the world is still functioning pretty pretty well um in most people's opinion, and there's more supers and there are villains, um but what's stopping us, or what's stopping the the heroes and villains from just all turning into villains and conquering everything? What's stopping the mundanes from doing the same thing, building a a massive nuclear weapon or some type of other catastrophic event to control the rest of the world.

Speaker: we all I have a question. he and and We already have heroes and the mundanes, like what you're saying, already go already working together. They're all both representing their sides, and that's how it needs to be.

Speaker: We need to be working together.

Speaker: I mean, currently we are working together, or they these organizations are working together. It's just

Speaker: like we've proven in the past, the powerful will rise. i have talked about this several times. what what part of this What part of this will help me and help you understand more?

Speaker: like How can I rephrase this to help you? Like, how exactly do you think that putting the people with the most power at the top is going to is going to make this better?

Speaker: all you're going to be do All you do is paint a target on their backs. do it Okay, so so what if I were to reverse that question? What would happen if I put the weakest people into power?

Speaker: What would that do for society? Answer that, please.

Speaker: Okay. it's It's not about putting the putting only one group in power. It's about putting them... but it's about key so but So why do you make it... When you ask me a question, why do you make everything the min-max to the... This is the white, this is the black. you know why Why are you giving me such a 100% this is how it is? And then when I ask you the same question reverse, you just completely deny it. Why? Why?

Speaker: I didn't deny it. I just said that we can't that we can't have one or the other. You're suggesting that all the powers need to be at the top. we need I'm not suggesting that they need to be at the top.

Speaker: I'm saying that historically and statistically, this is how it happens. If you want to battle statistics, go for it. Be my guest. And then at this point, the teacher's like, okay, okay, guys, settle down. This wasn't meant to be a debate. This was just just a speech, um you know.

Speaker: Go, go, go. No, no, this this is your part. You've got start. You've got to call me out. Oh, true, right, sorry. Got to cut this part out. And I go, and while the teacher's speaking, and I'm like,

Speaker: And honestly, dude, I don't know why you care. It's probably because you're some no-name, like, social outcast kid. who I don't even know your name, first of all.

Speaker: um And you just start buzzing me around. But that's probably the reason why you care so much is because you've never seen the single most amount of attention in your entire life.

Speaker: So is this why you're making a big ol' stink? That's why you decided to attack me when no one else has attacked anyone else. Okay, kids. Okay. You can sit down, Peach. You really think you're so goddamn cool following your little ah following your little girlfriend around, Mr. Friendzone? You know I just saw her down the hallway sucking someone else's throat, right?

Speaker: You shut the hell up! Don't talk about her like that! Talk about what? It's the truth. Everybody in here knows it. yeah You just follow ah follow her around simping for her. I saw it! And this ah this is when Max will start like angrily walking towards him.

Speaker: Okay. lisa' is gonna stand Reese is going to stand up. He's going to start making his way towards him as well. And the teacher's just like, oh, okay, kids. you know let's let's Let's have a seat. like you know don't Don't want to call Mr. Principal Powers in here. And y'all are just ignoring sort of him. i'm like I haven't decided this is a man or woman. I'm like...

Speaker: call Mr. Powers what is he gonna do stop him from getting a beating into make him come back up off the ground where he belongs oh bring it bitch boy let's go alright um I take a swing I talk to my watch and I'm like hey record this shit uh yeah but like I guess I guess I'll do it now while I'm taking a swing i lash out at you

Speaker: okay

Speaker: god fuck um well hold on let me let me look at your stats real quick um that was the danger one um should i have rolled something else uh okay you can't increase that so you can't spin team um

Speaker: I'm attacking the team, so I'm to use a point. but Okay, well... Fuck yo. So, yeah, you... So here's what basically what happens on a miss. That doesn't mean that you necessarily miss him.

Speaker: ah i It just means, you know, it's not going to be enough to inflict a condition or anything on him. um And you're not going to... if If he decides to retaliate, he's going to succeed in retaliating.

Speaker: Oh yeah, I'm going to retaliate. I'm going to return in kind. Straight and straight into his face. Okay, um so you two are starting to fight. um And Hayden, are you attempting to do anything extra in this fight? You know, like what we talked about?

Speaker: Yes. Okay. ah If you want, you can also do Unleash Your Powers for that. um Where do I do that? That is a rolling freak. Yeah, roll freak.

Speaker: oh So and ah basically on a 13, it does whatever you want it to do. I want to find his most embarrassing moment of his entire life.

Speaker: You find it. ah

Speaker: So what what is what would that be, Reese? well I mean, it just goes into his head. So it's not like, I mean... Yeah, yeah, yeah. But now, yeah here's the deal. Since you rolled perfectly high, you're also going to get additional information like we talked about earlier.

Speaker: um So, one, you're going to see Ironsand, the villain... working together with a with the supervillain, J.K.

Speaker: Rally? And and you can definitely so you can definitely tell through the memory that Ironsan absolutely has a thing has a thing for J.K. And while they're working together,

Speaker: She ends up pulling ah pulling a prank on him, where she which results in basically his his pants. Basically, he literally shows her his full ass to her, and he's got, yeah.

Speaker: He both professionally respects her and also has a major thing for her, and it was just devastating. and But in the at the same time, you also find out that Reese's iron sand.

Speaker: Okay, so all that happens and the teacher... Frank, did you say you're in this class? Yes. like Okay, the teacher at this point it is like, ah she she has turned to you and she's like, Calix, can you stop them?

Speaker: Pull them apart? Can stop them? Unless they attempt to superly resist you, you you could easily stop them.

Speaker: Son of a bitch! As far as you know, they are both regular humans, and you don't even have to use you know too much super... you like ice you're not super strong Unless if we fight back. Yeah, if they fight back. um yeah I stand up and i i like take one step which brings me halfway up the room. And and like all you hear in me is saying, you're you can't... And then ah I wrap my arms around their heads.

Speaker: sir And and like he does that just before i'm about to I'm about to punch you square back in the face. Around their heads? Yes, around their heads and just pull them... all them No, I'm just like, because my head is so big, and yeah I can't put it around their shoulder, so it's going go over their head.

Speaker: Okay. And then like down, way down their body. Like the thumb goes down the spine, the hand part goes to about like their navel area. So like I look like a bird in a cage? Yeah. right I was thinking he could even make a T-pose.

Speaker: Well, he's just trying to stop the fight, unless unless he tries to do other things, but yeah. I will then pick them up and then walk them outside.

Speaker: Yeah, and and just, you know you also don't know that they are supers, you know, because thou'st those two keep their identities secret. But yeah, um...

Speaker: So ah I do think that Max, um now that you know his identity, ah I think you should get, I mean, you've already got influence over Ironsand, so now that can just apply to both of them.

Speaker: um So, you know, same thing. Like, Ironsand still doesn't know that you're Siphon, but, you know, now it applies to both his identities. Now, i I am actually just somewhat curious. So out of...

Speaker: Do I know that he knows that? Do I know that he just found one of them? I think since it was such a clean... Did you delete the memory?

Speaker: No, I don't think I would have deleted it because I just wanted to find the most embarrassing thing because how can I torture him later if i Right. With a memory he doesn't know. Yeah. Does that give him influence overall? Or does he already have it?

Speaker: Well, what I'm saying is now that... Siphon already has influence over me, but I don't know that Damax is Siphon. Yeah, but now basically you you already... Yeah, he already had influence over sigh over you, so you know basically for all points and purposes now he has influence over the fool you.

Speaker: Although for you, they're still two separate people for for yeah as far as Rhys knows. yeah Right. yeah Can I roleplay the teacher after this? after After this? Sure.

Speaker: Yeah, like like after this all happened. Okay. oh Alright. She's like crawling out under from under her desk, like back up, because she was like, alright, this is getting a little out of hand.

Speaker: And she's like, that concludes today's lesson. I don't want any of us getting any radical ideas. ah Please exit slowly.

Speaker: I don't want that anyone else getting hurt. Thank you. He goes back under the table. You just wanted to play her so you could get out of class early. yeah What can I do? I didn't want to present. those could they Guilty as charged.

Speaker: ah So yeah, as Calix carries you to wherever it is he's taking you... um what I know Calix is Calix, right? like If I don't know that, I'm retarded. Oh, yeah. Everyone knows that Calix is the murdered guardian. Wait, can I speak in this?

Speaker: Is my mouth being covered or something? um I imagine I like elongated my fingers to wrap around your like arms like under the armpit um so it's not like I'm carrying you from the head but you know but it is kind of more like more like an oh like and ah like an like a person carries a small cat or a puppy or something yeah no no no bad Yeah. yeah and Are you gonna have men in black ah wipe our brains from this, or are we just gonna all remember? oh no, everyone remembers. The only person who can wipe memories is Siphon.

Speaker: yeah Well that's what I'm saying, does he care that everyone saw all that happen? or no one i don't think anyone else saw it happen. His power is not visible, and I didn't use and i didn't use my power.

Speaker: That's what I'm saying. like The classroom... Really, the only thing that my power gives off is I really just stretch out my hand, so while I was going to swing for him, I was using my power. yeah ah No, I mean, he would have to brett you know go back and and you know alter every each and every one of their memories.

Speaker: He'd have to walk up to everyone and put his hands on top of their head and everything. I mean, he can do it from a distance, but there's a visual aspect if he does it from a distance. Okay.

Speaker: Well, just didn't know like if he cares, like if he gets called to the principal's office and everything. if that would... I don't feel like he's probably thinking about that at the moment. i'm a I'm a teenager that just got embarrassed in class. yeah That's true. I fool So what do you do with them, Calix? Because you've got them right now.

Speaker: And I say, Calix! Yeah, he's three times just got called a cuck in front of everybody. So I would probably just take them outside, ah maybe to the lunchroom.

Speaker: Okay. i because I'm sure lunch is probably next. yeah Because, you know, imagination. um I'd bring them to like the lunch line and put down Kevin first.

Speaker: Not Kevin.

Speaker: Frank, are you are you like a dumb tank or like a smart tank? Rees or Max.

Speaker: I want to know if you're going to play super like, you know, like, oh you know, like smash. I'm pretty sure he's a Drax the Destroyer. I'm pretty sure he's not like a smart hulk.

Speaker: That's what I'm hoping for. I'm not the brightest tool in the shed, but I'm also not... But he's not the dullest knife on the counter. yeah Yeah.

Speaker: I see what you're saying. Like, I have my moments, but i'm i'm I'm not, like... But everyone, when he has his moment, everyone's like, holy shit, what the fuck?

Speaker: Where did that come from? Okay, sorry, I just want a little little context. good Imagine it as, as like, Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, and Groot is like, i am Groot.

Speaker: Group number one and group number two? accomplish her Group number one. Okay. like um You got the IM Groot on the surface, but if you understand the language, like Rocket does, it's like, I can get kind of deep.

Speaker: So do you speak a different language? No, he speaks English. Okay. okay So um just for the sake of the fact that it's 10 o'clock for y'all, you know, you take him to the cafeteria and...

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: not the right word but you know they're now in the full public in front of everyone um so they're probably you know that at least simmers them down a bit and we're going to fastforward past all of this ah to the end of the day and Max, you are, um you know,

Speaker: you got a ah you got a message from Tasha to, you know, hey, can you come over? Sure. Yeah. you know

Speaker: sure yeah

Speaker: And so you get to her house and and it's just her. The friends aren't there anymore. And she's like, hey, um you know, y'all y'all go up to hang out in your room as, as you know, y'all usually do in her her room as y'all usually do. And she's like, hey, so um ah I heard some crazy stuff happened at school today.

Speaker: what What's what's going on?

Speaker: but And i I sit there and I like run my hands through my hair. By the way, um i feel like ah if either of you two had the condition angry, you can clear it because you both hurt each other.

Speaker: Oh, yeah. I clear it. I do not have that one. Okay.

Speaker: and yeah, she's like, so so what happened what you know what happened today?

Speaker: So I gave my debate in class, which you skipped, by the way. um oh yeah. yeah ah Sorry. I gave my

Speaker: so so ree i gave my i gave i gave my speech, and reese just had a lot of bullshit to say about it and just was up my ass about everything and anything um and then he he talked about you in a certain way and I just fucking lost it and swung for him and

Speaker: i did something else um really what did you do

Speaker: but but That's the thing. i just feel terrible about what I did. like

Speaker: Well, I guess thanks for sticking up for me. um You know, well... I was actually inviting you over. um you know Maybe I got something that might cheer you up.

Speaker: ah So... I'm dating Reese. There's this concert this weekend. I've some tickets you want to It's Musique. The illusionist band. there's this ah there's this concert this weekend um you know and ah i've got i've got some tickets you want to go um it's ah it's ah musicique

Speaker: the the all illusionion is spned You got tickets? How the hell did you get tickets? This thing's been sold out forever. ah i i got my i got my ways, and she like she gives you a little wink. you know like Yeah, I bet you do. ge No, I would love to go.

Speaker: Okay, and yeah, so you guys, you know, y'all chat and and and that's kind of all she does um for the night. And then i we're going to fast forward to the night of the concert.

Speaker: And so we'll stick with ah Max and Tasha for the moment. And so Max, you know, you're going to meet Tasha.

Speaker: um And she, ah you know, she's like, she opens the door and she's like, hey, ah um help me help me figure this out real quick. And like, you know, ushers you upstairs. You know, you were there to like, she didn't say pick me up. Like she, she,

Speaker: she, I don't know how your character, if your character has transportation, but, um i do yeah, but, ah she didn't say pick me up or anything, but she's like, Hey, um, come, you know, come help me out with this real quick. And like takes you upstairs and she's got like some clothes laid out on the bed.

Speaker: it's like, okay, which one do you think, uh, which, which, what should I wear tonight? And she, she's right now, she's just like in her pajamas. And so she, you know, she basically, you know, she, she pulls off her shirt, she's wearing a bra and has What type of band is Mystique?

Speaker: And she's changing clothing in front of you, you know, puts on but's on the first outfit. and you know it think you're gay I am terrible at describing outfits, so, you know, she puts on three different outfits.

Speaker: The band yeah is a... um So they do all sorts of music. ah they Their personal style is like rock music, but they don't just stick to that. They do a little bit of everything, and they really like to do theme songs because they like to include stuff in the the illusions. Like if they did, that they might like bust out the song from, um you know, like...

Speaker: play play weirdly just play the Simpsons and then the the you know like you see the Bart Simpson on the skateboard and and basically the opening the whole opening thing to the Simpsons plays throughout the audience and stuff like that.

Speaker: Do I know like the genre that they're sticking to tonight for their concert? So they'll probably play some of their, um they're they're what do you call it, the songs that they make themselves, their originals.

Speaker: But then they always play like some random, you know, a bunch of random theme songs with cool, you know, for for cool effects, like whatever shows are popular. And there there's sometimes a lot of times they'll have like a sponsored song that they they play and, you know,

Speaker: and and they act like they're they're always like yeah so up next a message from our sponsors and you know they bust out the sponsored song whatever it may be um and uh it's kind of like a commercial or whatever um almost a commercial or like just representing something from whatever their sponsor is you know um because uh if you know if you've got someone who can make illusions you know people are going to be paying them for to to to do that for them and uh Um, but they, they make it kind of like a joke that they're, they're doing this, this thing, you know, and, um, like, uh, what is it called? A self-deprecating joke that they have to do.

Speaker: Like, yeah, we're going to be a bunch of shills now and, and, uh, play a message from our sponsor. Um, so yeah, it's unknown what like will be played tonight, but you know, there'll also be some, some rock music.

Speaker: Um, this is what the individual players of the band look like. Yeah. Yeah, so I don't think you can really dress off a genre. um So I just like, I'm watching her change, I'm just like, God, fucking damn it.

Speaker: um And all three outfits are really sexy. Yep, of course. And, you know, you you choose one of them. Yeah, like whatever one she has on last, I just choose a different one so I can watch it one more time.

Speaker: Of course, yeah. um Yeah, and so she she puts it on and and she's like, awesome, great. um You know, I think, ah hold up, let me double check something.

Speaker: I've got to,

Speaker: did I write it down?

Speaker: Man, I may not have written written down what I'm looking for.

Speaker: I feel like the name I'm thinking of was Theo?

Speaker: Uh...

Speaker: Oh, okay, Cleo. um She's like, okay, great, Cleo's going to love this. And Cleo, um you didn't realize that Cleo, her boyfriend, was going to be coming along.

Speaker: And at that moment, you hear the doorbell ring. And she's like, oh, that's him! And she goes running down the stairs, leaving you in a room um to answer the door.

Speaker: Ouch. Ouch. And, yeah, so you guys pile into, you end up in Cleo's car. Well, before I might steal some. I mean, whatever you steal, you know.

Speaker: um But, yeah. Opens the pen, the lunge hamper, and pulls out the last use. all right, we don't need to go into that detail. it It's Hayden we're talking about. I know it is.

Speaker: know, but these are high school. Hey, look, high school are the worst. It's Hayden we're talking about. Yeah, and yeah, so you end up in, you know, in the backseat of Cleo's. Bro, I'm driving my own car. I'm not getting cucked like that. Okay.

Speaker: She's like, oh, you don't you don't want to just ride with us? You sure? ah I don't know if your guy is going to get drunk tonight and maybe need deg-sonade driver.

Speaker: so he's He just got a new sound system.

Speaker: Yeah, sure, whatever. Okay, yeah. Oh, God, hate him. They're blaring the the radio, and and, you know, he's he's got the top down. Obviously, it's a convertible. Of course, he's probably listening to all the music you hate.

Speaker: Yeah, and I have my earbuds in, and I'm just scrolling on my phone in the backseat. What what' um what song theme song is tonight? Yeah. max hoping to hear to-night what's what what' show What's his favorite show or even video game or something?

Speaker: Helldivers. Helldivers, of course. I don't know what that theme song is because I now haven't played it yet. but

Speaker: Oh, that really epic Halo 3 soundtrack. I don't even know what the game is about.

Speaker: it's It's about spreading democracy.

Speaker: Okay. For those in other countries who might not have Helldivers just yet, it's not about spreading democracy at all. Oh, it is. Spreading democracy to bugs and robots. I love Helldivers.

Speaker: That's what I keep hearing, so I will eventually have to check out this game. but you As a multiplayer game, I enjoy it more than I thought I would, because not the biggest fan of third-person shooters.

Speaker: But overall, though, it's like... right I mean, you you feel like you are being dragged into a bed of nails. Frank, going to about this after the recording.

Speaker: um so yeah i love you. So then we ah we've got um now ah does Reese have transportation?

Speaker: ah Yeah, he's going to borrow ah he's gonna borrow a ride. Okay, so Reese, you go to go pick up a Clara then. Yeah. What are you driving?

Speaker: Well, it's the it's a borrowed vehicle from and from the guy that owns the restaurant that he works at. So it's probably it' probably like some...

Speaker: It's probably like a Toyota Camry or something. it seems have It's seen too many years, too many miles, but its it still runs. he just doesn't want to get rid of it. It's practical. So Clara, she comes to the door. She's dressed and um she's got like a black ah ah like black tank top type thing and a She's got a red skirt and black knee-high boots, and she's you know dressed in concert-looking, like rock music-looking outfits, and gets into the car, which she thinks is amazing, because like you've you've got a car.

Speaker: Yeah. Reese in ahre is in like full punk ah punk rock mode. like yeah he's He's got long he's got longer longer black hair, and it is down it is down right now. He's got on you know like all like all the all that cringy 19-year-old jewelry and stuff that you wear that you wear to accessorize when you go to concerts. She's got leather bracelets and a leather collar on with spikes.

Speaker: And he absolutely has a band shirt on. and But as soon as he sees her, yeah it's like the most emotion that anyone has probably seen on his face ever. It's just his whole face drops. And is if you didn't know anybody, you would think that his eye shot out of his head. You're like, ooh.

Speaker: Yeah, because you've only really seen her in um you know the kind of clothes she wears to school. you know So you you've not seen her. Do we have uniforms? I've. I feel like we do. We do. Yeah. That'd be awesome. So you've only seen her in the school uniform, you know?

Speaker: Yes. Which to be fair, she's only seen you in school uniform and of course your costume, but you know. Yeah.

Speaker: Are there any, um ah

Speaker: what would be the word, like, um references to your costume and your outfit? Like, not direct references, but like, are they at all similar to whatever is? We have a pin.

Speaker: yeah Not directly, however, he does have a lot of metal accessor a lot of metal accessories. He does have several several piercings, and but he also has like, you know,

Speaker: He's got the chain on his wallet. He's got, like, the metal... of them He's got, like, the the boots with the metal... sp With, like, the the punk rock boots and stuff. He's got a lot of metal on him, and he does also have his actual mask, his actual half-face mask hes and goggles. He's got those in his...

Speaker: In his pocket. okay In the pocket of the of the band of his going to bands jacket. Okay. um And yeah, so you you all start heading to the concert. Now, Calix and Kevin, um Jaden, your name is Kevin.

Speaker: um Yes, i heard it this time.

Speaker: are already at the concert. Calix, you are at the front gates and you've been given one of those wands so that you can you know you can scan people. um but Unfortunately, annoyingly, it does go off a lot because this is a rock concert and so people like lot of metal. But, you know, so far, no weapons.

Speaker: Um... And so, Kevin, where do you think you would position yourself? Because you guys have free reign of the place, basically. You know, you're security, so you can go anywhere.

Speaker: um I want to be front door, making fun of people. Well, okay, you're up there with Calix, then. um Okay. He's scanning people as they come in with the wavy wand thing.

Speaker: Yeah. And so I've got a ah a custom move um which you guys can do. So when you are looking for security threats at a concert, ah roll plus superior.

Speaker: um So roll with superior, both of you. Right now? I've got to find the right tab. thing I'm not here. Superior?

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Bye. Okay, so both of you got a success. So since combined, you both got a success. I'll just count it as a full success and you can both choose these.

Speaker: um So on a 7 to 9, choose 1. On a 10 plus, you choose 2. um but ah So you can choose one of the following options. I'll just copy-paste them, but I'll read them all for our listeners. 11, not a pulpit.

Speaker: 11 is a full hit, yeah. But Jaden got 9. so But I'm counting it as together you got a full hit anyway. so yes So you can identify the threat the threat's intentions or objectives.

Speaker: So you on a success you did identify a threat, basically. um Then you get to choose one. You can identify its threat, and the threat's intentions or objectives, its location or trajectory.

Speaker: Alert your teammates or fellow security personnel to the threat without causing panic. You can assess the threat's level of danger or potential harm to others or take preemptive action to neutralize or contain the threat before it escalates.

Speaker: ah oh Let's do preemptive action. Let's like set up some shit. Okay. um Well, the threat you've identified is someone is attempting to sneak in.

Speaker: They're trying that they're trying to to to jump the fence, um you know, and one of you spot that.

Speaker: So, yeah, you guys can can, you spot them like sneaking off towards the tort towards the fence around the corner. They didn't have tickets, and so you guys already rejected them.

Speaker: If I try to tase them with like a blast... Oh, sorry. I was just going to say, you should have a guard dog like from Helldivers. yeah I was going to say, can i ah if I try to shoot them with like a taser-like blast, would that be freak or danger? um So you can just do it, because these are just two regular people.

Speaker: Okay. just tasering people. Nice, I love it. So, and then, Calix, what are you going to do about this threat, if anything? um I will do a little stoppy stop and shoot some vines.

Speaker: through the ground to try to just wrap around their legs and hold them in place. Yeah, so these are normal humans. So you wrap their legs while Kevin tases them. Kevin, you are in costume, by the way, so you're in your suits.

Speaker: yeah I'm grounded, so there's no need to worry. Frank, let's collect them. let them Put them all in cages and let's collect them until the end and then we can put them up on stage and make everyone laugh at them.

Speaker: I changed what I do. They're now in cages. Okay. They are in wooden cages that you've constructed around them?

Speaker: It's not like flimsy, like, thick bars. These are, like, maybe four-inch diameter, four-and-a-half, maybe even five-inch diameter, like... Yes.

Speaker: And, um, uh, at some point, um, Max and his two people he's with and, and, and Reese and Clara, um, you know, they, they all arrive,

Speaker: Not obviously at the exact same moment or anything like that. that Just everyone's at the concert now. You see, as y'all are entering, you see a couple people, probably more than two by now, in cages.

Speaker: <unk> Just stuffed into these cages. um As they have been trying, like... One guy was like, oh man, i I was just trying to... um ah take a piss no well sure and the and is and this other dude's like dude you were doing it like right over there that would be illegal even at not at a concert and uh there's kids here yeah there's children here i'm concerned and yeah people are definitely laughing at them already um

Speaker: This is you know this is ah acceptable at this this kind of concert. you know There may be some infringements of rights going on here, but it's a rock concert. it's a rockco It's a good thing we're not in America. We're in Halcyon City. Halcyon City's in America.

Speaker: um It's New York. america it's It's sort of like... it's nobody Nobody knows... Well, nobody... um Everyone knows where it is, but it's in a a nebulous place, much like um Gotham or Metropolis. like It's just like another New York-style city somewhere.

Speaker: um It's on the coast. ohio There is definitely a port. It's on the coast. um oh Oh, God, it's Galveston. Yeah. Oh no, they seceded from Texas.

Speaker: um And they rebranded themselves. No, this is part of the it's part of the US. It's... ah it So is Galveston. Superheroes are integrated into society throughout the country.

Speaker: It's just this city is the most, like, the nexus of where most of them are. You said we're in 2024, right? Yeah, it's it's modern time, yeah. Dang, okay. Because, I mean, i think Galveston be great too because it is a great like military standpoint, like island.

Speaker: I mean, if we want to rename Galveston as Halcyon City, or if we just want, it well, yeah, we'll just rename it, yeah.

Speaker: if that's where you guys wanted to be at. I'm still not ever going to go swimming in the bay off of... golf of Hell no. Well, maybe by now we're, like, filtering the water from Mississippi. who have cleaned the Oh, yeah. the doubt It's pretty clean, um you know, probably.

Speaker: ah Except for when some villain tries to pollute it, you know. that But that's possible anywhere. With the poop water! Oh, not the poop water and the swimming and the... The bacteria.

Speaker: And so most, you know, after a while, most of the people have gotten into the venue. that this is It's an outdoor place. There are is a big stage ah where the band will be, but then there's also like... ah a big area in the center and it's sort of similar to a football stadium in that ah except it it's land and it's um instead of bleachers you guys are standing um but there's like ah if you imagine

Speaker: a stadium, you know, where you've got the the bottom parts, the flat, you know, area in the middle. There's ah an area like that, except you guys are, it's, I don't know, call it a valley or something. um And there there's an area for where the illusions happen.

Speaker: And then there's there's the stage also down there. And so, like, you can look down at the where the concert's happening and see all the crazy stuff. And the band is going to start up. They start up with one of their, you know, their...

Speaker: uh originals um they often open with one of their originals and it's like a hardcore um heavy heavy metal song and there's like um like crazy like skulls flying around through the the audience and you know and and fire and and and all kind of you know crazy stuff going on and and uh Tasha is dancing with Cleo.

Speaker: um and do i Do I see like one of Tasha's friends like from that friend group around anywhere? um After a while, yeah, you might spot one of them. i don't have overron I don't have any of their names. yeah

Speaker: is Does their illusion, I'm kind of, it'd be kind of cool if it was like this, and you could shoot it down if you don't like it, but what if it's almost like they have to walk into this venue to like, like what if they're actually playing like super bad, like just terribly, but so like, and you and from the outside, like it sounds like shit, but like you walk through the door and then immediately that illusion just like changes everything.

Speaker: No, they're legitimate they're legitimate players. okay okay And presumably they have, at least one of them has powers to make this illusion, presumably.

Speaker: um Nobody knows who has powers in the in the group, though. and the problem And the other thing is these illusions aren't just visual. Um, rarely do they do anything physical, but but they can.

Speaker: um They can be solid illusions, but usually they also have sensory, like, if it's a flame, it'll feel hot. Now, it's not gonna burn you, but, um you know, you'll feel the heat rating go off the flame, or if there's cold, like, snow or something, it'll feel cold, things like that.

Speaker: um But it's shooting the audience with flames. Yeah. And um ah Clara, so Clara is definitely like, she's definitely like semi solo dancing, but obviously trying to get you to dance with her. Do you dance, Reese?

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah, sure. Yeah, I mean granted this is a rock concert dance so it's not like it's complicated. Is there a pit? A mosh pit? car gave him The guy that gave him his that let him borrow his car, he gave him some advice on how to be normal around normal people in and how to be a normal teenager in this situation.

Speaker: Ron's typing at me. He's like, shut up. Just kidding. Y'all are having fun. um what is ah what are so The concert started. Calix and Kevin, are you guys paying close attention to the crowd or are you getting distracted by the music?

Speaker: Did y'all hear that?

Speaker: Calix and Kevin, are you guys like... Oh, sorry. I didn't hear my name....getting distracted by the music? Uh, Jaden, don't worry about what I typed. Okay.

Speaker: Um, are y'all getting distracted by the music, or, um, are you still trying to be vigilant? Well, I want to be... I want to be vigilant, but can I... Can ka could i Kevin AI, like, want to be, like, inside so, like, he took over, like, the suit by himself and he's just in there dancing?

Speaker: The AI? I guess the AI is you. Yeah, it's it's ah it's a clone of you, basically. it's like the It's like the side of me that's not super... So well i mean it should tell suits the suit is trying to dance?

Speaker: Yeah, like the suit's inside. like It took over the suit, and it wants to you know it likes the music, so it just kind of likes... So for what anyone else can tell, you're over there dancing.

Speaker: Right, but um yeah but I'm still outside. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: You're in your suit, though, right?

Speaker: Oh, that's right. You want to know? Well, yeah, maybe my suit left me like it just was like, hey, it just kind of like kicked me out and like walked inside and started dancing.

Speaker: I mean, if if that's what you want, um you guys, are you guys can be facing inward. Now, the the the the line is is, you know, every now and then a straggler might show up. But for the most part, the line's, you know, done.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: heylex I personally don't like the music, so I'm like looking at him I'm like, amateurs. um What are you up to, Calix? yeah um So I figure once we're done with the beat peeps up at the entrance, I would probably post up at the edge of the stage...

Speaker: um And i'm I'm probably just chilling, just vibing. Okay. Yeah. I'm not watching. I'm watching the crowd. But, you know, it's kind of hard not to get into some of the epic songs and stuff like that.

Speaker: And um yeah, so then then um they ah yeah they slow down for a bit and they're like, all right, well, um now it's time to play. ah ah that They do their like fan favorite, The Simpsons thing, and like you know you've got Bart Simpson like skateboarding off people and the car bursts through the crowd. um It doesn't obviously hurt anyone, but you know and it and you know it ends with them on the couch. And then they're like, um yeah the Simpsons intro, basically, except they incorporate it into the crowd.

Speaker: ah and i And then they're like, all right, now it's time for a song from our sponsor. to Tonight we've got um Disney sponsoring us. I'm going to play better hope five seconds of this song.

Speaker: what do you What are you doing, Frank? I'm just assessing the situation. You're doing the ah the concert thing again? um just Just watching the crowd, seeing if there's anything off of it.

Speaker: Okay, so we're going to hold your roll um for the moment and keep that success. um yeah We'll play the first few seconds. up That's the YouTube ad. hold on got next time but You said that they played an ad before they started. outset yeah Well, no, this song is the ad.

Speaker: I'll see oh play the first couple seconds.

Speaker: So we all know what that song is. And they they play this song and, you know, the Elsa appears in the center and like a lot of people are cheering insanely because people still love that song.

Speaker: um And, you know, the whole like it starts snowing in the entire like arena. And And, like, the snow feels real. In fact, the snow, you can even, like, pick up the snow. And and ah so, Victoria, a friend of Tasha, um you you've been, like, you know...

Speaker: wandering around and then all of a sudden a snowball smacks you in the back of the head ah max um and you turn and it's it's victoria and when the snowball smacks into you like you feel it initially and then it kind of like disperses frank don't sing the entire entire song you're gonna get us a copyright um sorry i i didn't realize you could hear it and yeah and she throws a snowball at you and um elsa's building a uh a nice castle and um Reese is going to throw us as is going to wait for Clara to turn so that right when she turns back, she takes a snowball right center of her face. Oh, yeah. And she loves that. And Max, what you do when you get that snowball on you from this one? I turn around and Victoria.

Speaker: and I go, what the hell? But I'm like smiling. yeah and then i I walk over to her. yeah And I'm like, hey, Victoria, wanna share? And I, like, pull open my jacket, and I reveal, like, a whole bottle of vodka.

Speaker: She's like, I thought you'd never ask. She says, I thought you'd never ask. And she she takes she grabs the bottle and and takes ah takes a swig, um you know, and...

Speaker: Yeah, and so the the concert's going. they They play through the song, and then the music dies down, um and Elsa is standing in the middle of the stage, and um and they start playing the next song. It's another theme song. They start up the theme song to, I don't know, somebody named something a theme song.

Speaker: Pokemon. Let it grow. They start the Pokemon theme song. um ah but did did did Yeah. did and and and then they know that that and And then they kind of like stop.

Speaker: um Elsa's still standing there in the middle of the stage. And and the the band looks kind of confused. yeah And Bulbasaur's there. um And the band's kind of confused looking. And

Speaker: Kalex, the Verdant Guardian, um your ah one time i don'tlin cool yeah your thing can kick in. Which of those two options did you want? ah

Speaker: um yeah

Speaker: um

Speaker: Always choose the last one. I feel like that's just nips in the mud. I would like to assess the threats level of danger or potential harm to others. Okay. um so right So basically, and and the thing about these kind of moves is you don't always, like, I will tell you what it is, but you don't always get the... um the answer, the perfect answer.

Speaker: ah So the threat level um right now is uncertain. You can tell that the band doesn't know what's happening, but you do know that um their illusions can become solid.

Speaker: um So the threat is at least real um and appears to be coming from center stage. is currently an Elsa and a Bulbasaur.

Speaker: um that are not supposed to be there. And then at that moment, the Elsa turns and does like a wave of of ice um at the crowd and ah like, ah I don't know, like the first like row or two worth of people get in get encased and in solid ice and people start screaming and um and, you know, all of that. And then the band starts playing again um And they they continue playing the the Pokemon theme song, i except you can see their faces that they look horrified and their their bodies are moving not of their own accord.

Speaker: um And they begin playing the Pokemon theme song as more and more Pokemon start appearing in the crowd and begin began um attacking people all around you.

Speaker: As in the background, they're like, I want to be the very best. And Charizard like swoops down and immolates a portion of the crowd. Oh, God. um ie Is Kevin nearby?

Speaker: Is Kevin nearby? Kevin. His suit is nearby and it was dancing. i mean if I mean, if you tell me, like, hey, they like if do we have, like, earpieces yeah between each other? Yeah, for And you're like so your your team, you guys probably have some sort of way to communicate with each other for the the the superhero team.

Speaker: Although that may just be your cell phones. um But you probably have, like, these are our superhero cell phones, you know. I'm just saying since we're specifically on security, can you tell a little bit? Yes, you too definitely have walkies with earpieces. So I'll ask again, Kevin, where are you?

Speaker: I'm like, oh, I'm sorry, I'm coming. Did you go out in the back? Are you behind the stage? I was still by the front door, so I'll run inside and then tell my suit. So you hear the screaming and stuff as as you run inside, and a ah Pikachu sends a ah thunderbolt in your direction.

Speaker: ah How do i roll out of the way? Do I just say I roll out of the way? Yeah, you can just say you roll out of the way for this. It wasn't um a... ah ah direct attack, I guess. it's just It was in your direction. direction Okay.

Speaker: And it's chaos. ah The theme song has changed. The Pokemon song has ended. And they're now beginning to play the theme song to Game of Thrones. um And Jon Snow has appeared in the center of the place.

Speaker: Please don't be key. Yeah. mean Obviously, Elsa is ah a White Walker. ah Well, Elsa's Elsa, is asa and she's currently forming um those snow golems from the movie.

Speaker: Oh, that's cool. Every time they play different song, do new like creatures appear? Yes, the old ones stay, but the the more and more creatures more and more things are appearing.

Speaker: yeah i wish they turned the power off. Can I run over to the backstage or side stage area and like just destroy something? Yes. Unleash your powers and or use your playbook specialty move. the I think you've got... Oh, that's a good idea. um I'm going to do Unstoppable.

Speaker: Yeah. I know generally where the power connection's at, right? Yeah, yeah, it's down... um Yeah, there's, like, the whole thing where all their, like, speakers and crap are, um ah you know, at.

Speaker: um Okay, I do that. Okay. And I just want to i just want to plow through everything on my way to get to that power junction and then into that power... By everything do you mean peace Including the frozen people that you now schmatter.

Speaker: I assume I'm in like the more front row than the front row people were. So I was like somewhat protected from the ice wave. and so I just plow through the edge or corner of the stage.

Speaker: On a 7 to 9, you mark a condition, you leave something behind, or take something with you.

Speaker: um i I think I would have accidentally dropped my earpiece. Okay, yeah, you leave your your earpiece behind. um Yeah, and you you barrel your way through the all all of the stuff, and, you know, there's a ah there's um ah an Electabuzz in the way, and you just, like, blast right through him.

Speaker: And you feel the resistance from his body at first, and then and then he explodes into, like, mist and and and vanishes. Yeah. How many Pokemon references can we have before we get demonetized? i dont I think we're fine doing references. We just can't play the song.

Speaker: and Okay. yeah

Speaker: Yeah, um these are fictional characters and and you know they're not their real Pokemon, so it's okay. Okay. Yeah, they're bu their Bulbasaur is goddamn blue.

Speaker: It's Bulbasaur from Power World. It's actually like a tree guy. It's like AI. Was it Bulbasaur blue? He was green, I think. It's like AI tried to draw him, and so he has an extra finger or something.

Speaker: yeah um

Speaker: I'm looking at a pretty blue Bulbasaur. Yeah, what's everyone else doing? Yeah, so I think I would definitely, like, i think just out of instinct, I would have grabbed Veronica's hand. Okay.

Speaker: or victoriam sorry ah Victoria's hand, and I would have started looking around for um

Speaker: Tasha. Okay. um You obviously also mispronounced her name in-game as well as in-game. Victoria, grab my hand! No, I don't say her name. You actually don't see Tasha um or Cleo at the moment.

Speaker: um Fuck him, no one cares about him anyway. up ah But yeah, I grabbed her hand and I'm like trying to like guide her. um I'm thinking internally, like, shit, shit, I can't use my powers out in fucking open without of changing.

Speaker: Yeah. um Go find a telephone booth. ah Let's see. um

Speaker: Alright, so yeah, you're you you are drafted like guiding her along when a um a ah large woman in armor um runs up ah and attempts to cleave through the both of you.

Speaker: um Or no, she's attempting to attack Victoria. Oh, like ah like a... From Game of Thrones? Yes. okay ah If your character is a Game of Thrones fan, it's Brienne of Tarth.

Speaker: But I know that Hayden probably hasn't seen it. so Hayden is heden has not watched.

Speaker: So next week we're going to meet at my house, apparently, for a Game of Thrones fan-a-thon.

Speaker: And so I guess I see that, and I'm like, fuck, and I just shoot out my hand and tell like telekineser. Okay, so you are defending someone, so go ahead and roll savior.

Speaker: How can I make that a direct danger? by not By not protecting the girl. Oh, that's true. Yes, fuck yes! Wow, nice. Even with negative two, or no, plus zero. i thought you had minus two savior.

Speaker: No, I have a minus one in superior. okay. Oh, okay. Who the heck has... Oh, it's Bill that has... okay Jesus Christ, Bill.

Speaker: Yeah. ah Full hit. Okay, so on a full hit, um let's see. ah You definitely um defend them, and then on a 7 to 9, it costs you. so Okay, so it doesn't cost you.

Speaker: Wait, let me read this. When you defend someone or something from an immediate threat, roll plus savior. For NPC threats on a hit, you keep them safe and choose one. Oh, also... um We forgot to do the team stuff, but we'll do that after this. so hey you We're not really acting as a team right now. That's true. You're not working as a team yet. Well, we didn't even know we were we were all... a yeah Other than... other than ah Kevin and... Calix.

Speaker: Calix. Other than Kevin and Calix, no one else ever actually knows... True. will get to act as a team together when when they... Well, they know... Y'all know we're there.

Speaker: i think...

Speaker: They would have had it gone through us through security. They do know you're there. um Anyway, um so... But we would assume you're doing your job. You can yeah either add team to the team pool, you can take influence over the person you protect, or you can clear a condition.

Speaker: We only have one dotty dot, right? Dot? Yeah, well, it's about to increase it's about to increase, because we're going to go ahead and do the team stuff. Okay, if it's about to increase, I assume it's going to increase by quite a bit.

Speaker: So i'll I'll take the ah influence. I'm going to have influence over... Okay, so you have influence over Victoria. Victoria. <unk> Wait, and if they know we're here, and...

Speaker: Max Jr. knows who Bill is. and i But Bill doesn't know me yet. That's what I'm saying, but you would know that Bill's there. so let's go ahead and do the team thing, because it still applies for at least two of you.

Speaker: um ah So I think I'm going to let it apply. um So when you engage a threat as a team, And if anything, I mean, honestly, this will get you more more team points.

Speaker: um ah I think until the other the two of you who are out of costume realize that the team is here, you won't be able to access the team points.

Speaker: But for now, team is going to be generated with Calix and Kevin. So when you enter battle against a dangerous foe, add two automatically. so You obviously saw the tree in the front row.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, they know you're here. They just... um But I'm getting someone to safety right now. i'm actually I'm actually doing the same. If the leader has influence over every teammate, so which between Calix and Kevin, which of the two of you thinks is in charge? Which one of you would be in charge?

Speaker: um Well, didn't we say that I'm kind of the team leader already? You've got influence over the most people, but the team leader changes from battle to battle. Like, you might have enough you may have an official team leader, but it's really who's leading this situation.

Speaker: i feel like I took charge first. So, possibly, as much as I don't want to be. Well, again, for the purposes of this leader doesn't mean you actually have to give orders or anything like that. You are just the one who kind of initiated the whole whatever's happening.

Speaker: um So, okay, so, Calix would be felix would be be the leader. So, does Calix have influence over the rest of the team? currently being the one person on the team. So does Kalyx have influence over um Kevin? Yes, he does.

Speaker: So yeah that means you get a bonus point. um So one more. So you've got four. If everyone... Okay, what are each of your purpose in this, the two of you, what what is your purpose in this scenario?

Speaker: Protect and serve. Okay, and Kalyx. um Stop the madness. Alright, well, um... his So Kevin is more about protect and you are more about stop, so those are two different purposes.

Speaker: um So you don't get another bonus. Do either of you mistrust the other? No. No. Okay. Um...

Speaker: I would have said this if I was including the other two. Is your team ill-prepared or off-balance? But the two of you are prepared. You are on security duty, so you're not going to lose a point for that.

Speaker: um So, yeah, ah we will. um Okay, so so that's out of the way. Calix and Max have done something so far. Kevin, what are you doing?

Speaker: I've jumped into my suit and... Hold on.

Speaker: so Sorry. Damn.

Speaker: That Ebola cough.

Speaker: What's it called? ah Can I like create like holograms? ah is I mean, i don't know if that's one of the power sets you you like have explained before.

Speaker: um Well, I mean, my suit can... Your ability is is power armor, and then you can create a gadget that can do whatever you want, but you only get two of those per fight or whatever.

Speaker: Okay, well, I want to then make one and then use one, or do already have two? So basically what it means, hold on, let's see, do you roll for it um so it? So basically it's kind of like you have a bunch of gadgets on you and when you do this you spend one of your gadgets to have already in the past made it and we just roll to see how good it was.

Speaker: um Okay. Yeah.

Speaker: Well then i um I want to try a prototype a hologram to usher everyone away from the situation. Okay. How about a hologram disruptor?

Speaker: Hey. Oh, yeah. Thank you. Good morning, Delzy. Frankie says good morning. Even though it's not morning, so. Didn't you say if she wakes up?

Speaker: Oh, because you were napping. Okay. Yeah. He said something about you waking up, so. I do that all the time. To Karen. My cat.

Speaker: Good morning. So, uh. So what you do is you roll superior, because you unleash your power with this thing, you unleash your power with superior.

Speaker: An 8. So... 7 to 9. 7 9 means I will tell you if it is unstable or temporary. Um...

Speaker: I mean, again, so I'm going to say it's unstable in that, ah great, you've projected holograms into a place full of insane and illusions already happening.

Speaker: So people are still running wild. um Some of them are listening to your holograms and heading for the exits. um The problem is, and and let's say that some of those people are Reese and Clara are also heading for the exit.

Speaker: ah along with a crowd of people being directed by... kind of pushing her along, and once we get to a certain point, I'm going to be like, okay, get back ah get back out to the... Do I see him? That's right, she knows who you are also, so she's like trusting everything you say.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm going to be like, okay, go back to the car. I've got to stay here and help deal with this. Wait, do i sing it at I need the keys. And she turns to grab you from the keys as a giant...

Speaker: a giant um What is the monster that Luke Skywalker had to fight, or that, not Luke Skywalker, that the Jedis had to fight in the prequels in the pits?

Speaker: Obi-Wan and... AT-ATs. No, Rancor. ah Rancor. Rancor rises up behind you guys. um Directly in front of the exit. Rancor Rancor? Directly and jacksons in Directly in front the exit into the to the the place.

Speaker: oh Yeah, so he's blocking the exit. ah real fat a Real fast, I ask her... As Empire Strikes Back plays in the background. Quick question. So we're this is in the middle of the crowd. No one's directly looking at me, right?

Speaker: um

Speaker: Yeah, you're in the middle of a crowd, so no one's paying attention to you now. All right. Clara, cover me. I dip down as low as I can get, and I pull my mask and ah and goggles out of my pocket out of ah my coat out of my jacket pocket,

Speaker: and i put em on And as soon as they're on, I'm going to, other than the car keys, which I just handed to her, I'm going to break down all the other metal around my body, and I'm going to try to and i'm going to try to make like a barrier so that you know incoming hand hits the but hits my barrier.

Speaker: Okay. um Unleash your powers. Roll Freak.

Speaker: Freak. Freak.

Speaker: on, Bill, you got this. Hey, yeah! It does exactly what you wanted it to. By the way, has anyone failed a roll yet? um I failed a roll. Hayden failed, and we got a fail from to reject influence.

Speaker: Do I count mark a potential? Yeah, both of you need to mark potential for those two failures, or for one failure each. yeah Reese and Max both have failed a roll. Okay.

Speaker: Here is. But, of course, this is a success that you just did. So, yeah, you get the barrier up, the hand, that the ah big old clawed hand thing smacks into it. um And, uh... As soon as it does, I'm going to reshape the barrier into, a into like, a spike, and going to try to launch it through through the Rancor. Okay. Directly engage the threat.

Speaker: Sweet. That is danger. Nice.

Speaker: A seven. um Okay. So, ah on directly engage a threat on a seven to nine, um pick one. So you will damage this thing and then you can either resist or avoid its blows, take something from it, create an opportunity for allies, or impress, surprise, or frighten the opposition.

Speaker: I want to... Okay, so you said that there was... and I can take something from it, I can impress... So, resist or avoid their blows, take something from them, create an opportunity, or impress, surprise, or frighten.

Speaker: You can zoom in on the... On the map, yeah. On the map. Oh, is that... Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: It's underneath basic moves directly engage a threat. The basic moves is in a light blue, baby blue, sky blue. I'm color deficit. I don't know colors.

Speaker: It's some kind of blue. It's a blue. boy If you don't resist or avoid their blows, you will be harmed.

Speaker: Okay, then that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go ahead and resist their and their next incoming baby. You know, doing what I've been doing.

Speaker: Okay, so your um spike thing you know pierces this thing straight through its it's you know it's it center mass, um blasts through it, and it explodes in the mist.

Speaker: um And Clara takes that opportunity... Well, first, she turns to you and she's like, that was amazing! And kisses you straight on your mask.

Speaker: and then And then turns and runs um runs towards you know out the exit towards the car. up As also a bunch of other people start running out of, you know, are also very chaotically and not efficiently exiting the arena.

Speaker: Um... Sorry, Rhys is a little shook right now. Yeah.

Speaker: Am I out there too? ah Kevin, no wait, who hasn't gone? Calix, I think it's back up to you.

Speaker: um Oh, that's right. You were in the middle of knocking out the power. We didn't really resolve that. what How did that not get resolved? I have no idea. just kind of We must have got to distracted. yeah ah so yeah, you had succeeded on that. So you crash into... I guess all of this was happening simultaneously. And you crash into...

Speaker: Their like whole big setup where you know the instruments and all of that like the electric guitars and the keyboard and all of that plug in and the amps and everything and ah It destroys all of that all the um the sound stops

Speaker: Briefly. The illusions don't go away. um And then ah from speakers around like the the fence line and stuff, around the the arena itself, the music starts up again.

Speaker: The band members are still playing their instruments um as they're... When they are not singing a vocal, they are screaming in fear.

Speaker: But whenever it's time for them to like sing, they sing. um Otherwise, they're screaming in horror. And the they switch to... Let's see. um Someone give me a movie.

Speaker: Indiana Jones. There's a big boulder. Yeah, they switch to Indiana Jones. And a giant boulder starts rolling across the arena. Oh, fuck.

Speaker: That's actually really bad. Yeah, that's terrifying. So... ah

Speaker: Yeah, and then, Kalix, what are you doing next? Since I somehow skipped you before. Um, so, being seeing as how that didn't stop it, um I am going to rest on rush on stage and attempt to, like, cover all of the singers' heads with my tentacles.

Speaker: Okay. Your vines, you mean? Yes, my vines. Um, so you're trying to, like, close their mouths, or...? i'm I'm attempting to stop them from creating music and illusions. I assume through sight or vocal production so is how some of that production... on Unleash your powers.

Speaker: Okay. Unleash.

Speaker: Unleash.

Speaker: That should be danger, I think. Or is that freaky?

Speaker: oh um Oh, sorry, it's freak, yeah. A seven. Okay, so it'll be temporary or unstable, or you can mark a condition.

Speaker: can you tell me if it works or not? It will work, but if you mark a condition, it works the way you it stops them. um But if you don't mark a condition, then I tell you how it's unstable or temporary.

Speaker: um Yeah, ah well, I was gonna say if it didn't work, was gonna do hopeless if it did work. um Like, it it'll work. It just depends on if you want it to be unstable or temporary or if you want to mark the condition and then it works fine.

Speaker: Well, I want them to stop permanently, so I'll go ahead and take a... So gonna do guilty. Okay. because you probably have to like hurt them a little bit to to make this make them stop.

Speaker: That, and I was hired to protect them, and this is the opposite of that. You probably got to like break their instruments and stuff. So yeah, you um you you do all of that, and you manage to stop them.

Speaker: um Unfortunately, the all illusions don't stop. The music does stop coming out of the speakers, arms but the illusions are still running wild.

Speaker: And... The, um, one of the the people ah is like, oh my god, oh my god, something must be wrong with musique. With, with, with musique. Musique, yeah, that's how i' was saying it.

Speaker: Sounds French. It's like mystique, but music. Musique. Something must be wrong with musique. And, um. And then a Pidgeotto sweeps down and smacks him in the head and knocks him out before he can explain.

Speaker: Damn. So who's who's up next? Let's see. we've That was Calix. He got the music to stop. But we've still got A boulder which has rolled across the stadium and gone back up the other side.

Speaker: It's not a stadium, it's like ah a bowl a valley bowl type thing. And now it's rolling back down the other way, you know, kind of like a skateboard on a half pipe or something.

Speaker: Full pipe, I guess, is what that would be. but Um, there are still several Pokemon, um, doing stuff. There are random characters from Game of Thrones. Thankfully no dragons were summoned yet.

Speaker: Um, but, uh, random Game of Thrones characters. Uh, Eddard Stark, um, has been, taken down by, uh, uh, like, teeming mass of, of people and they've, they've killed him.

Speaker: Um, and, uh, if you that that's the game with throw ah only people who are Game of Thrones fans would would get that reference. so' um We'll say that there was also a Lord of the Rings and Boromir was there too.

Speaker: and he he He also got killed. yeah Basically, Sean Bean's characters all die, um including illusions of them. um And there is... um up now this one's a bit concerning now there okay we won't do the death star there are tie fighters going around like flying around in the sky above um uh they are in battle with you see there are a couple of superheroes up there um fighting the tie fighters um superheroes that can fly so there's a battle happening in the sky um

Speaker: And the Enterprise is up there too, but it's evil Enterprise, so it's it's also fighting against the superheroes. um And, yeah, so it's just... Is it life-size version? or A life-size version of the Enterprise. Well, no.

Speaker: The Enterprise is... It's probably the size of a jet, though. Like... But, yeah. And... I'll...

Speaker: I'm going to make... i'm gonna How big of a of a mass of metal can I manipulate? Depends on unleash your powers. You can manipulate some pretty big masses if you roll good.

Speaker: Alright, I'm going to try to do something about the big ball. Sorry, you said that was unleash?

Speaker: Yes. But... Is it made out of metal, or is made out rock? If it's the one from Indiana Jones, it's just rock. Basically, I'm going to try to manipulate metal into a track could to kind of try to... Okay.

Speaker: So you probably, kind of likelu ah like, pull metal out from, like, the, theops you know, the various cables. Probably from, like, the bleachers everything.

Speaker: We live in a metal world, everybody. Metal metal is everywhere. Mm-hmm.

Speaker: Okay, so on a 7 to 9, mark a condition or I will tell you how it's unstable or temporary.

Speaker: ah I've... Oh dear, I think I've already got like three conditions.

Speaker: I'm gonna take angry. Okay, so it is... it works as you intended. Um... And yeah, basically I'm just trying to roll... I'm just trying to, Use the track, one, to make sure no one else gets crushed, but also to take it to... ah To lead it to... Railroad the big boulder to an area where it's not going to be a problem and to just slightly slow it down.

Speaker: Yeah, um, you're able to do that. Uh, you definitely get that over there. Um... And, uh...

Speaker: As you're doing that, hold on, I need to double check something. I had to mark... Okay, i had to mark Insecure. Let me check what Insecure does.

Speaker: Two NPCs anyway.

Speaker: Okay, that's actually happening right now, so that works. ah Yeah, and um yeah you're able to get the the big ball to stop rolling around and you get it out of the way. um

Speaker: That's... Calix, and then there was Reese. ah Max, what are you up to now? Alright. So, have I led her to safety? I think so, yeah.

Speaker: Alright. So I look at Victoria. so we're we're outside. i don't know if I saw um Reese doing doing his thing. Did I? ah You might have seen that. There was a big rancor that he just killed.

Speaker: Yeah. um and I open up my jacket and I say, take the vodka go. like What? What about you? Save the vodka. What about yeah where Tasha and Cleo?

Speaker: and cleo And like, it's gonna be fine, trust me. And then I, out of my pocket, out of like the other side of my jacket, I pull over my my mask. You let her see this?

Speaker: Yeah, fuck it. I was gonna make you roll provoke something, provoke someone, but when she sees you do that, she trusts you and does it. All right. Um, and then I obviously put on my sunglasses even though it's dark.

Speaker: No, I don't have that bitch on. Um, and then she hears, you know, Siphon's voice, and I say, you'll be fine, I'll take care of it. Okay, and you, um, turn away, to turn back to the, um,

Speaker: the crowd. Um, and then you hear a familiar voice saying, or you are, says something along, uh, let's see.

Speaker: Oh, it'll be fine. He says, um, and, uh, it's a voice you recognize the voice, the voice of this person who has plagued you for, for, for so long.

Speaker: And, um, You turn back and Jester's kiss, aka JK, is there and she's got her clawed um fingers up like up to the throat of Victoria.

Speaker: um And she's like... He says you'll be just fine as a drop of blood you know forms on on the the girl's throat. and she's like um is he Is he willing to prove that? What what do you say, siphon? do you Do you save the girl or do you save the rest of them?

Speaker: and she And then... Mm-hmm. You've seen her do this before, and she's even taken you once a long, long time ago. She she vanishes, pulling Victoria with her into the unknown.

Speaker: um and And, yeah. And she's gone at the moment. You don't know where she went, you know. So, she, like, straight up disappeared. I don't know where she... Like, she didn't go to her realm.

Speaker: ah Probably not because, you know, she seems to be able to disappear and reappear like all over the place. That's one of her her power sets. um you know that she would have passed through that realm um but typically she she basically can teleport it's quick too it's not like it's not like she swaps into that realm and then has to walk to wherever she's going and then pops back in um her ability seems to be like a teleporting type ability um should we leave it on that cliffhanger

Speaker: Are you guys... Yeah, I guess it is, what, 1110. I mean, we could... I'm good to keep going. um ah I am starting to... I am actually starting to kind of... kind of fade just a little bit.

Speaker: we We could leave it on that cliffhanger. um She teleports away. Okay, well then, let me explain what where she reappears. Somehow, you just you just know.

Speaker: um She reappears up on, like... um Oh, what is, um she reappears at the top of Saruman's tower, which of course was generated by the illusions.

Speaker: And she's got she's got the girl, but at the bottom of the tower, um there is a horde of orcs, which are about to charge into the crowd. Saruman was at Tower Isengard. Isengard, yeah. She's at the top of that tower.

Speaker: You know, where Gandalf gets trapped in the movie. um She's up at the top, and you can just... Even though it's far away, you can see her. You know, it's like your your eyes just like zoom in on her, and she's like, she's there, and she's got the girl.

Speaker: But to get to her, you've got to get through all of this ah this chaos. You have travel all the way across Middle-earth. Or, in this case, just a big field. Yeah.

Speaker: full of Pokemon and Star Wars monsters, um, and, uh, Game of throne Thrones characters and, uh, Lord the Rings characters and, you know, other randomness.

Speaker: And I guess, yeah, that's a good place to, to, to end it. Um, at a, at a nice cliffhanger like that. Um, but before we can fully end, we should do our, um, end of session stuff.

Speaker: Um, So, ah let me find that. End of session. Alright, so at the end of the session, you choose one of the following three. So we'll go one at a time.

Speaker: um Let's do Jaden, Kevin. ah Do you grow closer to the team? Um, and if you do, uh, do you grow closer to the team, grow into your own image of yourself or grow away from the team?

Speaker: Grow into my own image of myself. Okay. Explain how you see yourself and why and shift one label up and one down. Um, I think, oh shoot, is going to suck.

Speaker: Um,

Speaker: I feel more confident in my abilities. Okay.

Speaker: So what do you think? Which label do you... And you don't you can't shift superior anymore. It's at max. Right, I have to take it down, right? No, you can take any of your other stats down. um You can go up to 3 or down to negative 2 maximum. so um Which stat? I mean, savior could apply because you are trying to save people.

Speaker: um Or Freak because Freak is 1-0, superior is what your inventions come from, so never mind.

Speaker: Could even be Mundane because, you know, you you, or not Mundane, Danger, because you were fighting, you know?

Speaker: Maybe increase, I'll increase my Savior and take down my Mundane. Okay. Pierce the Mask, does that, what is that? So we haven't used that yet, but pierce the mask um is ah what you do to try. So you roll that and you can ask, um depending on your success, the following questions. What are you really planning? what do you want me to do?

Speaker: What do you intend to do? How can I get you to do something? Or how can I gain influence over you? So it's like you're, it's figuring out a person or an individual. So savior goes up and mundane goes down. And I just did that for you.

Speaker: Okay, and I'll say but Mundane goes down because I didn't ever learn who these guys are. It's just, I, you know. Yeah. Yeah. All right, and then Bill, what yeah so you either grow closer to the team, grow into your own image of yourself, or grow away from the team.

Speaker: um i think I think in this situation, I think, you know, Having done all the heroic stuff, I think I would have grown into the image of myself i've been I've been wanting to be more like. Okay, so you do the same thing as him. You shift one up and one down.

Speaker: All right, and willing to shift.

Speaker: Savior, I probably need to go ahead and take up because I did a lot of that today, and I think that would change. And I think I'm going to go ahead and take mundane down. Okay. Okay.

Speaker: right. All right. So that puts two of your things at negative two. Click off that so it saves it, yeah. I hate that it doesn't do that.

Speaker: And then Cole, or oops, Calix. Great time. Hi, I'm Cole.

Speaker: Not to be confused with Cole's phone career. So yeah, grow closer to the team, grow into your image of yourself, or grow away from the team. Who is that? Yeah. Sorry, no F-bags like to drive by my house really loud on the tourney-wernies.

Speaker: Yeah. um I... Since this wasn't exactly team-oriented in the... I would say probably grow away from team. Well, yeah, away from the team.

Speaker: Because into the team would require me to have done some sort of teamwork yeah at some point. And you could also grow into your own image of yourself. Yeah. Well, my own image of myself is not a person that has to you know physically restrain people that are meant to entertain. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: It's very anti what I really see myself as. So you grow away from the team. um Explain why you feel detached and take influence away.

Speaker: um over you away from another character. So, currently, you are only influenced by Jaden's character, so basically, and you can't take influence away from all adults, so you could, Jaden's character doesn't, would no longer influence you.

Speaker: Now, I will say, you can always, if you want to, give that back later, but... Okay. Well, I mean, seeing has how Jaden abandoned his suit at the front and was doing security at the front of the the intake area. yeah um Someone had to watch it.

Speaker: Well, at some point they stopped letting people in. yeah i so I never actually went into a concert, so I don't know. And then Max, grow into your team, into your own image or away from the team.

Speaker: I'd probably grew away from my team by without no knowing attacking Reese. That's true. Yeah, you definitely grew away by attacking a teammate.

Speaker: So yeah, you take influence away from somebody, from one of them. Yeah, I will take away I am influenced away by Reese. Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker: And then, yeah, Reese takes influence, it no longer has influence over max. I'll just delete that for you. Alright. Um, and so that is, uh, the end of session mechanics.

Speaker: Um, yeah, so we'll pick up right where we left off. You'll still have the four team, you know, everything is just frozen. Um, and, uh, um Alright, so that was um ah tonight's session. I am your storyteller, or as this game calls it, Game Master, Ron Bjork.

Speaker: ah You can find me, ah you can email the show at idmroleplay at gmail.com. um I haven't checked that in a while, but I'm pretty sure nobody emails us, so come on,

Speaker: We've got like five listeners in Japan. Where's those where's those emails? so why don't we Why don't we check that right now? I will do that. I don't want to do that on my main screen. Hold on.

Speaker: Somehow I don't think that there's anything in there, but let's find out. No, no. Frank, did you email us? Is that why you're getting me to check it? No, but that would be funny. um We've got a receipt from Zencaster and a receipt from Zencaster.

Speaker: Nice. Thanks, Zencaster, for the awesome support. yeah Please sponsor us. Right, just let us do our podcast for free so I can stop paying for you. um ah With me tonight was Frank.

Speaker: Hi, I was Frank. um I am no longer that person. ah I'm now... You weren't Cole, despite my many attempts. Sadly, I am not Cole this time around. I was Calix.

Speaker: um I played as a giant plant man who got to fondle people's heads with my vines. ah If you want to find me, you can probably do that if you look hard enough.

Speaker: I'm on Facebook. that's I'm not really on the other options because I'm lazy. i yes we also will or I will occasionally stream on the IDM roleplay at Twitch.tv on Sunday mornings.

Speaker: um I haven't done it in a minute, but I plan on getting back into the actual streaming. I've just been playing games instead. But look for that um Sunday morning sometime starting around... yeah Fuck, I don't know. 8, 9, 10 a.m. m Central Standard Time. um So for those people in Japan, it'll be youre about the time that you'll actually watch something like that.

Speaker: Alright, and then we've got Hayden. Hey, I played Syphon, or Max Jr., um He was a good game, and I'm, yeah, excited for what's the real threat.

Speaker: All right, and and then Bill. Hey, everybody. I'm Bill. I was playing Reese, a.k.a. Iron Sand, and this is now super awkward because the girl I'm kind of into now and the girl I was absolutely into as a villain are kind of in the same general area, and now it's like, oh, dear.

Speaker: Yeah, they are. yeah You can find me on Twitter at Billzebub. I mostly post art. I try not to post ai I want to, you know, kind of demonstrate.

Speaker: I want want to try to elevate as many artists online that are trying to get their names out as possible. So, that's what I'm trying to do. i apologize if I mistake any AI art.

Speaker: But, um... ah Everyone out there, I hope you have a great evening. I hope you've enjoyed listening to us, and I love you.

Speaker: So, you know. All right. Thank you, everybody, and good night.

Speaker: Thanks everyone for listening. The intro and outro songs you heard today was Fox Soul Revolution, created by Kevin MacLeod at Incompetech.com. Licensed under Creative Commons by Attribution 4.0 License, creativecommons.com, licenses by 4.0.
