Speaker
Cement Almenti. For now, your IG is just fine. AP, our brother from Rec Room Sports. Shout out to the boys. I cannot get over that they are still on yeah ESPN. That is amazing. Shout out to AP and his crew, also from Let's Talk Sports. How are you doing, my brother? How are you doing?
00:02:50
Speaker
That's a wonderful Tuesday. I just turned 33 yesterday, so I'm having a great day. Yes. mean I'm in the mid-30s, which means midlife crisis time.
00:03:03
Speaker
Well, I don't think you're that close. Take it from a couple guys a little older than you. don't think you've got to worry about it in the 30s. I was going to say, Omar, between dealing with the mule and Jake, I'm surprised you haven't seen therapy yet.
00:03:19
Speaker
Oh, I've seen therapy. Okay. Bro, you really going to do me like that? Well, then again, it's also he's a Raiders fan and a Mets fan. I've been dealing with Omar since we were kids, so you should be asking me that question, sir. I'm pretty sure you've seen many a streak in your day.
00:03:37
Speaker
yeah you know i had Well, no, I haven't. but um I'm sure we all have in some capacity. But I agree with Omar. Unless you've got enough to buy an island,
00:03:50
Speaker
At your age, yeah, midlife crisis isn't going hit yet. Give it a couple years. There you go. Happy birthday to AP. yeah Yeah. Happy birthday, AP. Also, I know this is a baseball show, but Thunder Up, let's go.

00:04:37
Speaker
Two days ago. Two days before AP. So there you go. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, Lissette. Yes, there you go. All right, let's kick this bad boy off, shall

Detroit Tigers Injury Issues

00:04:47
Speaker
we? Hey, baseball season has been interesting, to say the least.
00:04:53
Speaker
So far, and aside from my Mets being a total train wreck, which we will get into later on in the show, there's been a lot of news going on lately. So let's start with the hottest news topics working back from yesterday or two days ago now.
00:05:12
Speaker
Tarek Skubel, lousers. The Detroit Tigers have had injuries up and down their roster. It was not even more than, i think, like last week when they lost Javier Baez and Casey Mize in the same night.
00:05:29
Speaker
Then Gleyber Torres got injured. Then Will Best got injured. Then they said Jackson Jobe, Justin Verlander, Reese, all these players are injured. But the worst of all,
00:05:42
Speaker
is the reigning AL back-to-back Cy Young winner. Tarzan underneath knife for elbow surgery.
00:05:52
Speaker
ah This follows my Boricua brethren Edwin Diaz for the Dodgers also having to get some loose bodies removed from his elbow. So AP, you are the birthday boy. We'll start with you.
00:06:06
Speaker
ah How much does this Tarek Skubal injury, not necessarily affect the Tigers because they suck anyways, but How does it affect Major League Baseball losing one of your best pitchers? How does this affect how pitchers are used going forward? Because if everyone is always going to get an elbow injury, I mean, we're on the lookout and and and and praying that it doesn't happen to Paul Skeens next. So talk to us about your thoughts on this.

Tarek Skubal's Injury Impact

00:06:32
Speaker
I mean, it doesn't seem like anything's going to change. They're just going to keep going with the flow at at that point. um It's devastating for the Tigers in general because it's like, you know, even though they are 500 team, I get that.
00:06:48
Speaker
Cleveland can can take off at any point. And let's not forget, the league leader at home runs is in the white that on the White Sox right now. Hey, Murakami! That's a surprise in in itself. And if the Royals get hot, and you can see the Detroit Tigers maybe even being at the bottom of this division wow by this time next month. So this is going to be crucial for the next three months. And yeah this is where...
00:07:14
Speaker
you you try to prove whether the Frambois Valdez signing was he was a good idea or not. Because if Frambois does not come in and step up and be that guy that you need him to be Frambois Valdez,
00:07:30
Speaker
um With Scooble out, it's a wasted investment. It's a wasted investment because we all know the track record but that Valdez has one he when he has a bad game. He usually throws a little temper tantrum or what have you. We saw it last year with the Astros, um which you know that team's having a train wreck year this year, which is crazy. But Valdez needs to step up. Valdez needs to step up and be the ace that people think he can be um while Scoble's out. Otherwise, the Tigers are in a lot of trouble.
00:08:06
Speaker
And I think even more, and we're kind of burying um a very important part of this story, but Amul losing Scoobal to an injury also yeah takes away from them possibly trading him because the talk was they were going to be trading him in the offseason. Now he's injured.
00:08:27
Speaker
Can you even trade him? Does anyone even trade for him? I don't think anyone's going to trade for him, and I don't think that he can be traded. I do think, though, respectfully, I don't think the Tigers fall that fall and that that you know that far in the standings because the Twins, as you remember from spring my you detailing in regards to spring training, just suck.
00:08:53
Speaker
So the worst that the Tigers could you know fall is maybe fourth. But I agree with AP. ah If Framberg doesn't pick it up, and we all know that Valdez, I'm sorry, if you're going to pitch, you're you're throwing fastballs like in the middle to the high of the zone. they're You're going to get hit every single time.
00:09:12
Speaker
you know um And then you're going to have temper tantrums that are going to need be solved by getting a milkshake or something. But Framberg needs to you know not tip his pitches, so as to speak,
00:09:25
Speaker
ah and actually do well if he wants to continue to carry the pitching staff until Tarek comes back. and if verlander Which is not going to be this year. It's not going to be this year, but if if Verlander can also help a little bit, I know he's the veteran on the staff, but that would also be a little bit of a help.
00:09:47
Speaker
I mean, he has stay healthy too. shit Yeah. So um it's it's really up to it's Franber's pitching staff at this point moving forward.
00:09:58
Speaker
i really I just don't think it really matters at this point. That division, as AP talked about, is a jumbled mess. 18 to 15 wins from top to bottom. Bobby James, Cleveland Guardians leading the bunch, and I expect them to eventually get things in order because I do think they have the best team in that division. But the Chicago White Sox were mentioned. What a surprise after losing the most games ever. a couple of years ago are at one game below 500. I, were to end right now, Omar, if the season were to end right now, the Chicago White Sox would be in the playoffs as the last wildcard team.
00:10:39
Speaker
raised and you can help you can fit You can kind of thank the Sox for this. Not too much, but they did give away Braden Montgomery and Kyle Teal to get Garrett Crochet.
00:10:50
Speaker
And I know Kyle Teal's producing. i don't know if Braden Montgomery is up yet. But if he is, I think he's producing as well. There you go. Well, shout out to Clubber D. That's his Chicago White Shocks. And happy birthday to Clubber D as well. AP and Clubber D share a birthday.
00:11:05
Speaker
So, hell yeah. Happy birthday, Clubber D. Hey, shout out Canteen, my brother. Thank you for tuning in. Y'all tap in with the bottom line, Sports Canteen and Flo out there doing their thing. All right, cool.
00:11:20
Speaker
Well, we

Managerial Changes in MLB

00:11:21
Speaker
talked about that. Let's move on to the other big news from the past couple weeks, which was the firing of two very prominent managers, one being Amul's Boston Red Sox, Alex Cora. Now, me and Amul talked a little bit about this last week.
00:11:39
Speaker
on my other show, the professor seminar mente shameless plug. Also Rob Thompson was fired from the Phillies. So I'm going to talk about this last week. I'm going to let AP start again here. go right ahead and talk trump these ah These crazy firings of really good managers.
00:11:57
Speaker
Well, I looked at this. um We talked about this on our baseball show Wednesday night that or not Wednesday, but this past Friday. Um, It's a different set of circumstances of how these happen.
00:12:11
Speaker
For the Phillies, it just seems like it was kind of a quick trigger. You started off bad the first three, four weeks of the season. you're only won 13 games. I get it. But you also got to remember, Rob Thompson took this team to the World Series a couple years ago. They've been to a couple National League Championship Series.
00:12:29
Speaker
This guy has gotten them, you know even with slow starts, all the way up to where they needed to be in competing at the end. So think that was kind of a quick hook. I understand. and we But it was also kind of... What is that noise? Hold on, hold on. What is that noise?
00:12:48
Speaker
What is that noise? Amul, is there something wrong in your background? No. Okay. All right. It was a really loud. No, it's good, AP. My bad. I was going to say... um A lot of us, and we kind of agreed that the the trigger of of Rob Thompson was kind of to get Alex Corey in the building.
00:13:07
Speaker
That seemed like why it was why it was going down with that anyway. but the and he doesn't know how go on brush Because Dombrowski's the GM, right? That's the connection. and and And speaking of which, the Alex Corey firing was a personal decision.
00:13:24
Speaker
And it was a personal decision, in my opinion, by the GM because neither those two like each other. um Even with how good the Red Sox were last year, it seems like those two were just butting heads with each other. Because if you look and see what how the firing took place, it was literally every Alex Cora guy was gone except for the one guy who was the GM's guy.
00:13:48
Speaker
So... This was kind of a personal thing, and I don't know how you feel a little about Red Sox ownership, but I got a buddy of mine who is a Red Sox fan, and needs it kind of ah in his opinion, it just kind of seemed like the Red Sox ownership doesn't give two craps about the Red Sox at all. It's more so about the soccer team. It's the soccer team, maybe the hockey team, but this just like it seems like any time they have to deal with the Red Sox, it's like, oh, we'll let the GM handle it.
00:14:17
Speaker
We won't bother dealing with it. It's it's no big deal. that The GM will deal with it. It's just a gigantic mess in Boston right now. It's a gigantic mess and ah now you can say like all of Boston sports right now is just one gigantic mess.
00:14:33
Speaker
So it's not a great day to be a Boston sports fan. and no so So I'll say this. Yes, you're right. should Should Henry sell the team? Yes, to me or somebody else that legitimately cares.
00:14:49
Speaker
um but uh you know for cora it was sort of you know it was it was people were looking forward to cora uh leaving because his lineups were too stacked with he had if you've got kids that are on your roster active roster and you're not playing them regularly you're not getting enough out of your team all your team.
00:15:15
Speaker
So what are you doing at this point? So I find it funny and AP kind of broke the news for me that I was going to go ahead and break, but like, you know, he got fired, got offered a a job with the Phillies and turned it down.
00:15:31
Speaker
So, I mean, you know, is I think it was high time for Cora to go. said on Omar's other show, Seminomente, that it the fans are a lot like when when Hungary found out that Viktor Orban lost.
00:15:48
Speaker
We partied in the streets because, you know, why not? um But we'll see how this, thus far, Chad Tracy's doing it right by them. I realize that they're not, you know, there's seven games under 500.
00:16:02
Speaker
They're pulling up the rear more or less in the AL East. We have no room to talk whatsoever Yankees fans. None whatsoever. ah But ah we we don't. I'm sorry. like If Avril was on, i'd be like there would be nothing that I could say. um Because we just need to... We've got our own injuries to deal with.
00:16:22
Speaker
Crochet, Ranger Suarez ah pulled a hammy the other night or the other day. So... So I'm hopeful that we'll finish at least third. We'll see.
00:16:33
Speaker
But um I do think that Henry needs to sell the team. I think it's about time. He does have a lot of ah different kind brands and teams that he owns. So maybe you think maybe the family might be a little oversaturated. But, um you know, do you agree that it was a personal thing then between the GM and and Cora?
00:16:55
Speaker
uh i think so breswell wants to make this thing his own but also i'll give you this i read that theo epstein had a hand in this as well um yeah so ah there appears to be someone sticking on yeah someone's sticking a knife in someone's back but um You know, if Breslau is trying to remake this team in his image and he has the leeway to actually sign free agents, go right ahead.
00:17:25
Speaker
But again, the point is moot if John Henry is not letting him loose. If he's tightening the reins a little bit financially, it means nothing right now. Mm-hmm.
00:17:39
Speaker
All right, cool. Just wanted to get your opinion on that. Obviously, you being the Red Sox fan, I think I agree with AP, the quick trigger on Rob Thompson, even if Chad Tracy has been not chat Tracy. Now I'm getting myself confused. Sorry.
00:17:57
Speaker
No, he was my manningly manly even if I'm adding Lee, Don Mattingly doesn't want to coach full time. He already said that he doesn't want to continue being a manager because he said it takes too much work and he just wants to go like spend time with his family or whatever. So they're going to have to hope that Alex Cora comes back ah in the off season and takes the job. So still could happen. As for the Red Sox, I do agree with Amul, what he said on my show last week, which was that they kind of needed a change of voice. I see where that comes from. I necessarily don't agree.
00:18:31
Speaker
don't subscribe to that all the time especially with a really good manager like alex cora but i'm not i'm not the red sox insider as a mule is so i don't know as much as he does so but i just think that alex core is a really good manager and maybe i get i get you have your gm and he wants things his way and there may be personal biases Things that they, wow. Okay. There is really a lot of movement going on.
00:18:59
Speaker
I think it's every time you move them, it's getting really loud. Can you hear that AP or no? Yeah, there was a couple that, it that yeah. Okay. Anyways, ah ah but um what was I saying? Yes.
00:19:13
Speaker
So I think that it's going to work out eventually both for both of them. You're having down seasons. You're hoping that you're going to eventually obviously get, you know, ah better. Not this year, probably because they suck just like my Mets suck.
00:19:29
Speaker
Oh, damn it. We'll talk about them in a little bit. Let's keep with moving.

Debate on the Automated Ball-Strike System

00:19:32
Speaker
um All right. Let's talk about this ABS system. ABS in the majors. We've seen a lot of, oh, we got a hot take in here.
00:19:42
Speaker
This fact, this guy said he hoped for third place is wild. Shut up, Hot Take. Get back to your job slinging to the Fritos. You could have been all on here. if You got time to talk, jump on the show. Anyways, so ABS. You're going to end up losing to Omar again. Like, i don't know how many L's you can take, Hot Take.
00:20:01
Speaker
You take every week. um ABS. That's why we occasionally watch the show because I know you'll win. There you go. They used to take ABS this year. Robot UMPs is what they call them. There's been much ah lamenting and maligning of the umpires this year because of all the calls that they are seemingly getting incorrect. That being said, we must admit that being a...
00:20:26
Speaker
a umpire is a very tough job. It's not very easy to call balls and strikes, no matter how us fans may want to make it seem that way. But ABS has brought one thing, and that is they've brought an accountability to it. So much so that you hear of the umpires going home after games and reviewing their calls because they're tired of being embarrassed on the field when they get, ah you know, all of these wrong calls that they've been getting. So Amul, start us off here. How do you think the ABS system has been working?
00:21:03
Speaker
Would you like to see it full time? Obviously, you're still going to have a umpire back there because someone has to call, you know, outset at the home plate and there's other things that have to be called that a ABS system cannot do.
00:21:15
Speaker
But for balls and strikes, what are your thoughts? Well, first, can you in can you hear any reverb in the background? Are you good? No, I think it's just like whenever you're moving around, I think your mic is very sensitive. It is it's just catching all the noise, I believe is what it is. No, I switched back to my AirPods, so you should be good at this point. Okay, cool. Yeah, I heard it. But ah moving on to the, ah moving on to the bumps in the ABS, I think it's going decently well.
00:21:44
Speaker
I saw a stat that said that there were some teams that are just really good at ah with with it the ABS. And I know that abs is also cb buckner's best friend now because you know the fact that you know he gets called on everything um i get what other uh ums wanna maybe uh you know we look at some of their calls uh at the end of the evening i understand that but for those that are so blatantly bad that's what this is for i was actually having a conversation with a friend over the weekend We were at a ballgame and were wondering why there's only two challenges.
00:22:27
Speaker
I'd be okay if we expanded it to five challenges ah so that you had more you know opportunities. It doesn't very long to do it. It really doesn't. And given that that certain teams don't use it as much, ah or you know in some cases, like what Aaron Judge did the other night, where you know the ump missed the call blatantly, and then he just hits a home run casually in the next you know ah you know the next time the pitch is thrown.
00:22:58
Speaker
So like that's one way to solve it to a degree. think Angel Hernandez retired last year because he would be lambasted every night, son. He would be roasted. i mean he wouldnt mean Go ahead.
00:23:16
Speaker
Go ahead, AP. I mean, it's great. It's kind of entertaining to watch some of these because I remember, that what was it, a Reds game where the two loudest reactions for the crowd were CB Buckner's missed calls getting turned over. Yeah. Poor Stevie Buckner. He's getting the broad end of this deal. He's the Angel Hernandez now. that's like like it it's It's because Angel Hernandez retired because he knew this was coming. So...
00:23:48
Speaker
Yo, that would be crazy if that was the real reason he retired. Do you really think that's the real reason he retired? That's probably the reason why he retired. You know what? Don't you do it don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Asia Hernandez retired because of AVS. Okay, because there's like some of these guys that just...
00:24:04
Speaker
you literally a ball goes clearly down the middle and it gets called a ball like what yeah like come on bad calls dude my favorite is the strike they call that is two inches out off of home plate i'm like bro come on now that was way outside how are you calling that a story the a's have boasted a league best 73 percent success rate 73.3 uh followed by the diamondbacks with 63 the reds with with 60 and the royals also with six why does it say 60 plus i i'm gonna need ah it' it's probably 61 but yeah it's a little okay interesting for this thank you for the sports professor stat there i appreciate that doing my work sir um let's got deep ap uh what are your thoughts on this
00:24:54
Speaker
I mean, i love it. I love it. I think it's i think it's done. It's kind of a neat little wrinkle into the game. You know, you can only do it a ah certain amount of times. But, you know, if you have that that, is it like per player or is it like just? No, I think you get two challenges. And if you get it correct, you get to keep it.
00:25:12
Speaker
and that Yeah. Yeah. believe it So ideally you have two challenges, but if you're correct, like you can still use those. You just keep going until you lose those two challenges.
00:25:25
Speaker
The no but and sorry good the strongest pitching catching challenge success rate is that your is the Detroit Tigers, 86%. That might might go down Now that Tarek Skubal is, yeah, yeah. 86% is pretty good, though. But that's also on the catcher. ah who Because honestly, pitchers shouldn't be calling it unless you're a supreme veteran or a really good pitcher. It you should be on the catcher to call it. It's usually the catcher calling it. But if ah if a pitcher knows for sure that he got it, then he's going to make the challenge.
00:25:58
Speaker
Yeah, if you're Max Scherzer or Justin Verlander, yeah, call away. I'm not going to say anything to you. All right, so look look at this. Let's check the surveys. This was in August 2024 AAA.
00:26:10
Speaker
Players and coaches were asked, which ABS format do you prefer? The challenge system, full ABS, or the human umpires? And they rated the challenge system at 54%, the human umpires at and full ABS at only Now, this was last year in um So what do you all think? Do you think that we should go full ABS? Should it just be the human ump? Go back to that or should we just keep the challenge system and maybe even expand the challenges as Amul said? AP, what do you think?
00:26:45
Speaker
i think I think it's working as it is now with just the just the challenge system of the human umpires. I mean, if they get it wrong, they get it wrong. I mean, you still have that human error element into the game because now it's like if you lose both of your challenges and the human error comes into play, you know, now there's going to be debate about it. And yeah that would be the one thing that would would call it into question. but So far so good. It's worked out pretty good this year. So I like it just as it is.
00:27:17
Speaker
Amul, what are your thoughts? Expand it. Expand it? No. No. no exciting Keep the challenge system, but expand it with more challenges. Yeah. Keep the challenge system and expand it. I don't want to go to full ABS because I am enjoying CB Buckner so much reacting to the fact that he's getting calls wrong. It is...
00:27:38
Speaker
Literally, it's it's one of the reasons, you know, aside from that that I'm just watching more baseball is because I want to see him lose ABS Challenge. literally Literally just going to go through the schedule and see when CB Buckner call it again. Yeah. oh yeah Rockies? Oh, this like yeah they be sure. absolutely you're You're at the Pirates tomorrow night? Okay. Or next series? Got it. Cool.
00:28:02
Speaker
You know. There you go. That's amazing. I know it's crazy, but it's it's worth it. i It's worth it. I do think they need to, I do think ABS is working.
00:28:14
Speaker
It would be weird if it was full robotic. Like you'd have, you go full ah robotic arms. I think that would be odd. um Because what are the arms doing there? Just put them in a folding chair and, you know, it's like they're at a soccer game on a Saturday.
00:28:30
Speaker
You know, it would just be weird for them. So they have some sort of middle ground, I guess is where I'd land. OK, all right. Cool. Well, let's keep it moving.

Shohei Otani's Achievements and Mike Trout Speculations

00:28:41
Speaker
Let's talk about some really good players that have been playing so far. Obviously, we do we always talk about the great Shohei Otani.
00:28:48
Speaker
But right now, he has a 0.6 ERA over 30 innings, which is just crazy. won the National League Pitcher of the Month when he's already been the Player of the Month six previous times. And then you got Mike Trout.
00:29:01
Speaker
Mike Trout, the resurgence. of Mike Trout getting back to the Mike Trout of all that we know the the great legend he's back he's healthy he's playing well and people are saying that the Angels need to trade him now and get what they can for him at his highest value now here's the problem here's the problem with that Omar his trade value is kaput Is it though? It is. It is.
00:29:28
Speaker
It is. How is it? Because there's still the injury history. Because what happens if you treat him if you trade him in July and he gets hurt a week or two later? well What if he doesn't get hurt and you trade him? And he you know he's actually and he kills it for insert team here.
00:29:45
Speaker
The problem is that we have a five to ten year history, the last ten ten or so years, of him getting hurt in the second half of the season. You're not wrong. I'm sorry to everybody, all the Mike Trout fans. He's passed his prime.
00:30:03
Speaker
he's coming yeah of course wow that's this he's past his prime but are you saying that he can't are you saying that he can't help a a potential playoff team that wants to win the world series i don't see any team even thinking about trading him wow not even thinking like hey like they're like from what i've heard they're treating him like trevor bauer almost like not not an that that i have heard not ah Not in the sense of Trevor Bauer, but in the state of they don't they don't want to go with that because the Angels are going to be asking for so much because the Angels need a lot. They need a lot. And sure the problem is going to be, well, yes, there's going to be some teams that want Mike Trout.
00:30:52
Speaker
What the Angels are going to be asking for is not gonna be what teams are gonna be worth wanting to give up. Because they are gonna be- The Angels are asking for a lot.
00:31:05
Speaker
That's the thing. The thing is, though, the Angels are a terribly run organization. They don't know how to develop players. They're going to be asking for at least four top prospects in ah in a minor league system in order even just to consider thinking about trading for Mike Trout. They may ask for like a couple bats or an arm or something like that on top of that.
00:31:27
Speaker
They don't know how to run their system. cause Case in point, like you said, Trout's playing great, but the Angels as a whole suck. yeah They are the worst team in the American League West right now.
00:31:38
Speaker
They are not good. Take away 2002 World Series. What are Anaheim Angels? Nothing. like take away take away the two thousand and two so two world series what are the aheim angels nothing Now, everybody, as you notice, my man A.B. b is wearing a Texas Rangers hat.
00:31:54
Speaker
So we must take into account that he probably hates the Angels a lot, being that they're in his division. I have not heard. I have not heard that that they're treating a trout like Trevor Bauer at all.
00:32:09
Speaker
I think he will be traded if he keeps up this restrictions, even though he's got a five to ten year. Because remember, the Angels may suck, but like a team can still use him.
00:32:21
Speaker
The Yankees even go home to his hometown Phillies. And I mean, even though that's going to, that's going to hurt, you know, Omar to your soul, that's going to hurt your soul. I'm sorry. But, you know, ah maybe he just retires there, you know, does the, best you know, does, know, tries to get into a World Series and then retires there because you can, it's, yeah he wants to go home again.
00:32:43
Speaker
But to AP, your point about the angels are going to ask for the moon, you can ask for the moon. It doesn't mean you're going to get it. It may mean that the angels take a a lesser deal to trade him, especially if he demands a trade to someplace like Philly or, you know, Cleveland, or I'm just i'm just picking names out of my hat at this point. He does have that no trade clause still, I think.
00:33:08
Speaker
yeah he does so he said he wanted to play for philly because that's where he's from right i believe yeah i don't think philly i think that would be more detrimental to philly yeah i don't think they need him now i would i would have right now you know because that' they're already you know they're already an older organization they don't need another older player yeah they need to get younger no i agree with you that they need to get younger they are i've heard something that i don't know if you guys found this out or or picked this up but bryce harper there was some scuttlebutt that i heard that bryce harper might be traded um i mean he has some people trying to get a first
00:33:46
Speaker
Because ah apparently from the the stretch last year, he had some things to say in the media that the GM didn't like. And so they started having some beef. But there's no way you trade Bryce Harper because, A, he's still your best player. And, B, in in the vein of what AP just said about Mike Trout,
00:34:05
Speaker
I mean, Harper has value, but how many picks are you going to trade for Harper? How many players are you going to Harper at age 35, 36? Well, I think it's how many picks can you get? How many blue chip prospects can you get? If you can't get, you know, A prospects, you're getting B prospects, then sorry, I'm talking to MLB the show terms here. But like if if you can't get top level and mid level, you're only getting double A or and the and the Angels need to find a way to, you know, sort of get out of the doldrums of the als then they should take the deal and learn how to you know teach players like who learn how to run and assist we're going to recognize an organization man sorry um otherwise i mean i i would like to see trout get a wreck i will say that i don't think he'll be a ring chaser like freddie well i don't think freddie freeman's a ring chaser but um
00:35:00
Speaker
I don't think he'll end up being a ah ring chaser, but I do want to see him win elsewhere, get a ring at least. So hopefully that happens this season. i mean shot You talk about John Henry needing to sell the team, the Angels ownership needs to sell that team because they have done nothing with that franchise. That's Moreno, right? Are you Moreno?
00:35:23
Speaker
Say it louder for the people in the back that can't hear you AP. Artie Moreno, sell the fucking team, bro. Get somebody in there that actually knows what they're doing.
00:35:36
Speaker
Who cares? He's like the Anthony Rendon of owners. That's why he probably signed them because they're two pears in a fucking pear tree.
00:35:47
Speaker
Artie Moreno, if you're listening to this podcast, do us all a favor and sell your steak and in the majors and buy a local newspaper.
00:35:58
Speaker
Just do that because we all know newspapers, the future of this country. um I say that tongue in cheek. I say that tongue in cheek. I think I met two partridges in a pear tree instead of two pears in a pear tree. Are there really poor trees, though? I've never seen a pear tree before. Is that there are there are just maybe not here in the States. I think you've got to go to Europe.
00:36:24
Speaker
interesting all right, cool. yeah Well, hey, ah shout out to one other guy, Mason Miller, man. He did not allow a run from August of last year till just a few days ago. I mean, ah spanning ah four months of game time, didn't allow three or four months of game time, didn't allow a run.
00:36:43
Speaker
i mean, he was... Just salute to him. That's all I want to do. Just bring him up because that's an amazing

Mason Miller's Performance Highlight

00:36:48
Speaker
run. But also I want to bring this up because they are saying that with how relievers are being used these days and with not having...
00:36:57
Speaker
um a specific people, specific going away from the closer, right? ah They're saying the save is going the way of the dodo.
00:37:09
Speaker
So because there's less closers, because they're telling people more of who you're going to face, not what inning you're going to pitch, that we're that we'rere looking at losing the save as a valuable statistic for closers.
00:37:23
Speaker
Anybody have thoughts on that?
00:37:27
Speaker
Yeah.
00:37:29
Speaker
I have thoughts on openers, but like if if you've got, if you're a closer in this, in in this league, in today's league, you're now expected, I think, to not just pitch the tonight, you're expected to pitch the eighth.
00:37:45
Speaker
I know Aroldis Chapman's done that for the Sox a couple times. I think Mason Miller's done that. And it's just one of those things where you've got openers now,
00:37:56
Speaker
Then you've got the actual starting pitcher who will pitch about four innings and then you turn it over to the pen. So I think it kind of goes along with AP's thought about mismanagement.
00:38:09
Speaker
ah A lot of teams just don't know how to properly manage teams anymore. And that may be an old head take. I'll be honest, that may be an old head take where it's like, you know,
00:38:20
Speaker
Well, I'm, you know, this guy's used to a starting pitcher going six, of starting pitcher going seven. Yes, give me that. Give me, give me, start seven innings, pitch seven, give me 13 strikeouts and, and dominate, like, and then turn it over to your pen.
00:38:38
Speaker
Like, that's what you're supposed to do. That's why you're paid big money. Um, I think that I don't think the closer has gone the way of the dodo. um But I will say this at some point. I do think we need to talk WBC. I don't know if that's on your on your docket to chat about.
00:38:55
Speaker
But, ah you know, well, yeah, I think. well yeah not blessing Yeah, with all the injuries. Three months ago? I'm not talking. oh you can bring that up. No, no. With all the injuries that have occurred. it was like, why are we talking? We already talked about that a long time ago. good Because with all the injuries that are occurring, that they're saying that's because of the WBC.
00:39:18
Speaker
It's possible. But they were going to be in spring. Well, that's true. Yeah, I do agree. I think that the WBC is a cause of more injuries, and that's why I've been a proponent of players sitting out if they want to, especially the Puerto Rico team this year when they wouldn't give insurance to Lindor or Baez for their injuries. Well, then, you know what? Screw you. I'm not going to play and help you get more visibility if you're not going to pay. By the way, billions of dollars, and you can't afford an insurance policy. Get the fuck out of here.
00:39:48
Speaker
I would say, how about instead of trying to force these pitchers to throw with faster speeds and higher rotations, why not just go back to the days of old where you just practice your pitching mechanics? Thank you. Practice your break. Thank you.
00:40:05
Speaker
Practice your break. Practice your, you know, off-speed stuff like... Practice your accuracy. Accuracy. Instead of letting a ball go and nearly killing a guy. Right. Fucking hitting batters all over the place. Right.
00:40:21
Speaker
And to that point, also, Omar, I think lot of these and and and and to that point also omar i think a lot of these gms are it's going away from the actual baseball part of the game and it's trying to become more of an analytical game thank you which is starting to kind of which is why the bull as you brought up why teams go opener starter then open instead of let's let a guy you know in the most times the only times you really see um guys go long term is if their manager is a baseball guy yep
00:40:59
Speaker
Yeah. the or or Or if they're like a Max Scherzer or Verlander, you're not going to take off the mound unless they let you. I mean, I took my nieces, shout out to my nieces, i um ah who I took them to their first game a couple years ago.
00:41:15
Speaker
And the opening pitcher was Bernardino. Brandon Bernardino, who doesn't pitch for the Sox anymore. But like, Why start with an opener? They weren't really enthused. Of course, they didn't know what was going on, but that's a different, you know, that's that's a different Fox to Hunt, you know.
00:41:32
Speaker
It's funny, though, that you bring up Brandon Bernardino because I have some very big qualms right now to talk about. You talked about managing. Well, we saw Mr. Brandon Bernardino last night when the Colorado Rockies, luckily we won the game. But the point being that yesterday, and this is a sad state of affairs, if this is what you're already doing in the beginning of May,
00:41:57
Speaker
Carlos Mendoza, when apparently we had seven starters and three in the minors before the season started, now he ran out two openers yesterday. Ran out two openers in the first week of May. and brought in our starter Peterson in the third inning. If this is your plan, Mendoza, that shit ain't going work, and your ass going to get fired too. So you better ship shape that shit the the fuck out because that's not going to work. you' Using openers in the first week of May, what the hell? That is a bad omen, and the Mets are going to continue to suck like they have all year, and I'm not blaming it on Mendoza because I like Mendoza as a coach.
00:42:40
Speaker
But look, I'm blaming this on the GM. I'm putting this directly at the feet of David Stearns. And I am saying, sir, had you kept Alonzo, had you kept Nimmo and not picked up Polanco and not kept Tyrone Taylor, this is a total different offense. But...
00:43:00
Speaker
The free agents also haven't panned out. Bo Bichette not performing at all. Soto was hurt the first two weeks of the year. Now he's playing like the MVP, but he came back and Lindor got hurt the same weekend with the same exact injury, but he's out longer. The Mets have no chance this season. I am calling it over right now.
00:43:21
Speaker
so Would you agree but you agree, Omar, that Carlos Mendoza was put in a lose-lose situation with the Mets? Yes, I do agree with that. I do. i yeah Why would you agree with him? Because I don't think he's a bad manager. i Yes, he doesn't make all of the great calls, but he's also young. This is his first time ever being a manager. He's literally yes li a scapegoat. He's is he's not. he's not Me personally, I don't think he should be an MLB manager. I don't think he's ready for it. He may not have been. I think he's just a scapegoat until the Mets can find somebody else. They really liked what he did with the Yankees, though. They really liked him as a Yankee bench. I think you looking at it as like, maybe they didn't get the moves that they necessarily thought they were going to get. They didn't get Pete Alonzo back. You essentially had to find something at second base. So instead of waiting to get Bichette, you like, oh,
00:44:19
Speaker
We're gonna get Triggie happy and bring in Marcus Simeon. ah I think ownership, and this this is, co I agree with you Omar, this is Cohen's fault to a T. um ah knew Knew that things were gonna be bad this year and he's like, okay, if we need somebody to run this team, we're gonna need somebody who's inexperienced and and we can put the blame on if not hold shadow blame on others.
00:44:46
Speaker
And if you're bringing in Bernardino, I'm just, this is a PSA. wasn't us. It was the Rockies. I was just using that as a segue. yeah it was Yeah, I know. But like, if you're bringing in Bernardino as an opener, is all I'm saying, you're giving up on the season is what you're doing. You're basically giving. I i hate to put it that way, Brennan, I'm sure you're a great middle reliever. Seriously, you were great as a middle relief guy.
00:45:12
Speaker
But don't don't do this. Don't don't don't be in it. a Don't volunteer you to be an opener again. Don't do that. like say you don't want to do that. I don't know. i just I just don't like openers. I'm old school like you, Amul. I agree. yeah put the Put the damn pitcher in. Let him go six, seven innings.
00:45:30
Speaker
I mean, what are we doing? I get there's arm injuries, but if you learn to be a Greg Maddox type of pitcher, you don't get injured because you work on your craft like AP said. You work on your accuracy. You ain't throwing 100 miles an hour because you can strike a dude out with a 93-mile-per-hour curveball.
00:45:48
Speaker
And you work on your angles, your arm angles, like, like from giving your pitches, like I, I, in the myriad of, of messages that i sent you earlier, Omar, there was, you know, there, there how to hold a fastball. a curve, a splitter, you know, a knuckleball. Like, you do you work on how you hold pitches, what your arm angle is going to be, and and how you're actually going to throw a particular pitch. You don't sit there and say, okay, well, I think I want to i want to avoid facing Freeman and Otani and Mookie, you know, in the fifth inning or something like that. So I'm going to come in in the seventh, you know, or later. yes right
00:46:32
Speaker
by the By the way, you mentioned Shohei earlier. Dave Roberts said today he's going to be strictly pitching moving forward. that he's they're They're not going to put him in the lineup because he's been struggling at the plate.
00:46:45
Speaker
No way! Really? Yeah. um so for the it's not sure how long it'll be but it seems like that for the oh okay like i thought you meant like this is like because he's struggling to hit and the other i think roberts is just going to keep him as a pitcher for a while yeah he also won the mvp the past few years for hitting so i don't want to hear that shit dave roberts sometimes i think he outsmarts himself i think he thinks he's too fucking smart and he just outsmarts himself a lot of times he's a good man
00:47:19
Speaker
I mean, he did lose the series to the Rockies, so. Shouldn't have been. Sometimes that happens. The whole nother. All right, let's get into the standings. Man, hey, look, actually, let's start with the power rankings first, just to give us a leeway into the standings.
00:47:34
Speaker
These are your MLB power rankings from the athletic. Shout out to the athletic. Atlanta Braves are at the number one position, 25 and 11. The New York Yankees at number two, 24 11.
00:47:46
Speaker
twenty four and eleven The Los Angeles Dodgers at number three, 22 and 13. The Chicago Cubs at number four, 23 and 12. And surprisingly, those Detroit Tigers we talked about earlier somehow ranked at number five in the athletics rankings 18 and 18. Now that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But when we look at the standings, though, you do see that above them are only the Tampa Bay Rays and the Athletics are the only ones with better ah records in the AL.
00:48:23
Speaker
And then you move to the NL, you've got the Cardinals twenty one and fourteen the Padres 20-14, and the Reds 20-15 there in your wild card positions with Pittsburgh and Milwaukee right there. So,
00:48:38
Speaker
AP, start with you. How do you feel about these teams so far? What do you see shaking out in these divisions? I think obviously in my eyes, Atlanta already has the East wrapped up for the NL.

MLB Division Standings Predictions

00:48:50
Speaker
We were talking about this in our group chat or ah the last couple of days in our baseball group chat. um What is the soonest a team has ever clinched a division? ah and that in the wild In the wild card era, it is September 8th. It is the 1999 Cleveland Indians. 1995 Cleveland Indians. The Braves are going to beat that.
00:49:13
Speaker
They're going to beat the Braves. In all of baseball entirely, it is September 4th, 1941, the 1941 New York Yankees. nineteen forty one the nineteen forty one new york inies Holy cannolis.
00:49:26
Speaker
So that that might happen. That might actually happen. Braves are the best team in baseball without a doubt. Like, I don't, I don't, Dodgers look skittish to me.
00:49:37
Speaker
Yankees. Yes. a Record wise, they look great, but guess what? They suck against good competition. They've been playing a bunch of nobody so far this year. So I have no, I don don't have any faith in the Yankees right now. Let's see them play the Dodgers. See how they look in those, those series.
00:49:51
Speaker
Um, um I'm kind of shocked that ah they have the Tigers that high. I don't even have them rank in the top 10 at all. I don't either. That's wild. i like right i don't I don't have the Tigers anywhere near a top 10 spot.
00:50:06
Speaker
um It's the Kevin McGonigal effect, probably. Probably. Yep. They did mention him in the blurb. they did say That was the first person they mentioned. so like Like literally, then I have the Cardinals much higher. I have the Cardinals much higher. so Yeah, but the Cardinals, we've got to expect, are going to flame out in the end, right? know hard The Cardinals are seven and one against good competition. They just took a series against the Dodgers. so Thank you, AP. They're against 500 competition or better, and they just took a series against the Dodgers. So I actually am starting to buy into what the Cardinals are doing a little bit. so There you go. like I have them three. I have them i have the Cardinals three.
00:50:45
Speaker
Wow, three. Wow. That's interesting because when you look at the way you Like if I did my top five for you right now, it would be brave it'd be Braves, Cubs, Cardinals, Yankees, Dodgers.
00:50:57
Speaker
Wow, okay. I would not have the Cardinals in my top five, but I agree with the other four. Looking at the run differential, the Yankees have a plus 76 run differential, by far the most in the American League.
00:51:11
Speaker
The only other teams that are even positive, and this is a testament to possibly offense, um in in terms of being able to put bat to ball and hit the ball for average and things like that must be going down because every other team in the American League is negative in run differential aside from the Yankees and then the Rays who are at plus 11, the Guardians at plus 17, and the Mariners at barely over plus three.
00:51:40
Speaker
That's crazy. but then when you also remember Also remember, just like I said, Omar, look who the Yankees have played this year. That's true. ah The Yankees competition this year has not been great. I mean, you know, obviously you don't want to bring up the Red Sox again, but that wasn't a good series.
00:51:56
Speaker
It's okay. You can that. The only competitive series the Yankees really have had this year were against the Angels. And not in the Angels aren't even that good. So um but let's wait and see. I know they got the that they host my Rangers this weekend. this week so We'll see how that goes.
00:52:14
Speaker
But let's also see like what happens when they play the Cardinals or when they play the Cubs or all these teams that are above.500 coming up on their schedule. Let's see how long let do a like you sort how they against Let's be trick Williams. Let's talk about it. All right. Let's let's talk about the same division.
00:52:33
Speaker
The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Milwaukee Brewers run differential Pittsburgh Pirates plus 31 Milwaukee Brewers plus 42. Your dear St. Louis Cardinals are barely over at plus three.
00:52:45
Speaker
Does that change your mind?
00:52:53
Speaker
Rays, to me, I actually have them just outside the top 10. I have them at six. But what about the Pirates and the Brewers, who are have other run differential than the Cardinals?
00:53:03
Speaker
ah I don't have them in the top 10. I don't have either of those two. So both of those teams have a better offense than the Cardinals, and you still have the Cardinals in your top five. I have the Cardinals in my top five because of what they've done against better teams.
00:53:18
Speaker
Okay. whereas the pirate Whereas the Pirates and the and the you know the Brewers have not. so Cardinals play up and play down to their competition. I get that. But are that david card and harnet when the Cardinals play up to their competition, they're a really good team.
00:53:35
Speaker
Are the Cardinals paying you to say that? Right. Well, I mean. like Are you a paid actor? Sorry, I'm just saying that. Here's the thing.
00:53:47
Speaker
do with but Look at the hat I am wearing. Do we want to go back to 2011? Because I have no solid to stay for the St. Louis Cardinals. But to leave the to leave the cards in and and leave the the Pirates out. and I have no faith. than the Pirates. Other than all teams, have no faith. That's true. I don't either. But I do have faith in the Brewers. I do think the Brewers can vote them. Absolutely. But it's like saying that the Mets are the best team in the majors right now when they haven't, you know. I'm sorry. And that, Omar, is from a crack on my job. Don't ever do that on a public podcast.
00:54:27
Speaker
You know better. so but and but um you know, that the for the
00:54:38
Speaker
Oh, I can take plenty of punches. I've been holding back for a while. Out of for our friendship. let get get Again, say what you want about both teams. Everybody in the NL Central is above 500. Nobody expected that. Sometimes you just got to riddle out. that None of these teams are going to be as good as we think they are, let's be honest. because but Once onces the... the the meddling stops and everything evens itself out, then we're going especially when we get to June and July, we're going to start seeing how good these teams really are.
00:55:12
Speaker
I think everything has already evened itself out. Because we've already started to see. The Bruins are competing. The Rockies are competing. You know, what how are we, like, I think things are starting to even themselves out now.
00:55:27
Speaker
Well, I mean, unless you're in the NL East. Unless you're in the NL East, in which case. Well, yeah. Braves are eight and a half ahead of second. yeah All right, that's enough chitting on my match. I'm done with this. We're not doing this anymore. And for those wondering, for those wondering, in D.C., the Nationals are in second place right now.
00:55:47
Speaker
I just want to put that out there. That's really going to last. Okay, get out of here, that crap. The national suck ass. All right. Do you gentlemen have any topics you would like to bring up before I bring up the final topic?
00:56:01
Speaker
I'm looking. Rest in peace to John Sterling. The
00:56:08
Speaker
Yankees win. Shut the hell up. Rest in peace. There are a couple others. There there are a couple others. Braves turning back the clock. We already covered that. Bryce Eldridge being called up. Connor Griffin signing his extension. I'm just going through these. um And then CJ Edwards, instead of, if I apologize, that you know what, I'm not gonna apologize for this one, Omar, I'm not.
00:56:34
Speaker
CJ Edwards, instead of choosing the Mets like AAA or AA affiliate, ah electing to choose free agency ah and he bitched twice over the last six days, ah striking out 11 over six innings of one run ball.
00:56:53
Speaker
And still wouldn't still he is he you're letting him walk out the door so you know you're really not putting it a big a good bid to ever be on one of my shows again with cra your no i think we're fine i think we're fine um that's funny ap any any topics you got you to talk about Jose Soriano, you want to talk about the craziness that have been. What a career resurgence. That's crazy. He has allowed one total earned run in six starts against teams not named the Chicago White Sox.
00:57:29
Speaker
Wow. Dang. Wow. After he was an average pitcher at best his whole career. Now, he's given up multiple er runs in each of his starts against the Chicago White Sox, the only team who's been able to do that, and his ERA is above one for the first time in this year.
00:57:45
Speaker
The White Sox? Because of the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox, wow. The White Sox, hey. I think the White Sox, I think they hit him for a five spot last night. I think they hit him for a five spot last night.
00:58:00
Speaker
That is very impressive. And Murakami hit his first double of the season last night. Yeah. His first double. Double. i think we could I think between Soriano and Trout, the Angels fans out west might think they've got a chance this season. Murakami's 13 home runs is crazy. That's great. Good for him.
00:58:20
Speaker
Good for him. All right, Anything else? Angels are thirteen and twenty three right now. so That's horrible. Yeah, they're like the Mets.
00:58:32
Speaker
They're six ti games back of the division-leading athletics. That one in itself. What kind of thing is that? warrior I mean never thought I'd hear that shit. And they're also one and nine in their last 10.
00:58:50
Speaker
So that's big reason why. They've completely fallen off here the last 10 days. well i have I think that the A's could win the aol They probably can. They probably can.
00:59:06
Speaker
Don't do that. because was the after which which was The Angels the the angel stink. The Astros stink. And range Rangers and Mariners are barely treading around 500. And the A's are the only decent team in the division. What's going on with your Rangers? We didn't talk about them at all today. What's going on with them?
00:59:22
Speaker
Why are they not living up to snuff? ah They're about a 500 team. Not doing too well. they got Is DeGrom hurt or is he still pitching? No, DeGrom's probably the healthiest of everybody right now. um really it's why at length for length for it's been out for the past few weeks and he's been dealing with the injury he had a little bit of a setback last week but uh one bright spot in that has been uh josh young's finally playing like josh young again ah he's hitting over 300 he's hitting over 300 he's got almost 10 home runs this year he's had he had fantastic april fantastic april
01:00:05
Speaker
ah And if Langford comes back healthy and you still have Jung on his heater, that's going to be a ah good one-two punch for you. Also, thank you for Brandon Nimmo.
01:00:17
Speaker
That's another guy who's been hurt is Brandon Nimmo, but thank you for Brandon Nimmo. Yeah, I mean... he's doing a lot He's doing a lot more than any of our outfielders are. i wish we wouldn't have traded him, but whatever.
01:00:27
Speaker
It is what it is. Marcus Simeon isn't doing that bad, so it's not too horrible. They're actually about to kick off against the Yankees right now. They're warming up right now. It is the Grom tonight ah going against Rodriguez. They don't have to face Max Fried or...
01:00:48
Speaker
Schittler tonight this this series so maybe they can catch a couple games here. April abra will be mad if you said Schittler but we will keep it moving. I'll watch that. don't care.
01:01:01
Speaker
We don't have to face him this time around so I don't care. I do have a question for you gentlemen. Who likes chicken wings? Do you both like chicken wings? chicken my name Chicken wing, chicken chicken wing. chicken wing.
01:01:15
Speaker
no yeah question Okay, everybody likes chicken wings? Yes. Okay.

Jim Palmer's Chicken Wing Anecdote

01:01:20
Speaker
So here's a crazy story. Jim Palmer, the announcer for the Orioles. If you did not hear this story back in April of 2005, Jim Palmer, who is now 80 years old, made a short admission that he has never in his life had a chicken wing.
01:01:40
Speaker
Kevin Brown, the play-by-play announcer, was completely shocked, as all of us must be at this point in time, that a man has never had a chicken wing. And he says, what do you mean you've never had a wing?
01:01:50
Speaker
He said, why would I? He's like, you've never had a single wing? He's like, no, I never thought about having one. What? So the next night, the play-by-play announcer gets a dozen wings delivered to the booth, right? Hey, I want you to try these wings.
01:02:05
Speaker
Also, some tenders were delivered. Jim Palmer... Hall of Fame pitcher for the Orioles, great pitcher, legend. Says he does not want the wing but has a tender. I'm assuming because maybe he thinks eating off the bone is weird of, you know, eating off the bone of an animal or something and he has like some kind of weird like...
01:02:25
Speaker
preconception with that. But anyways, he said that the next time the Orioles hit a grand slam and he was working the game, he would try a chicken wing. Between that time, the Orioles hit four grand slams, but Palmer was never working any of the games until just last week.
01:02:46
Speaker
They hit two grand slams in one game. They made him try a chicken wing, and he said it was delicious, and he was upset that he missed out on it his whole life. What the hell is wrong with you, Jim Palmer?
01:03:00
Speaker
What? Chicken wings may be the greatest food on earth. I am a chicken wing connoisseur. People know I was actually crowned eighth place in the wing master competition in Virginia, the whole state of Virginia in 2012.
01:03:15
Speaker
After I ate, how many wings did I eat? ate 82 wings. I don't remember this. 15 minutes. Oh, yeah everybody knows they were there. You weren't there, but everybody was hard. a Hard time. going So how can you say everyone was there when I wasn't there? you know You know, but anyways, how do you not have a chicken wing in your whole life? 80 years.
01:03:38
Speaker
How?
01:03:41
Speaker
That's a that's that's you're flexing on eighth place. That's a that's try. That's that's a big flex, my friend. I mean, first of all, eighth place out of all of Virginia. They had competitions all over the state, and I came in eighth place out of hundreds of people. All right. And the only reason I didn't win, because a big Native American fucker was like 6'6", 800 pounds, and he ate 120 wings in 12 minutes. And I don't know how you eat 10 wings a minute, but my man was stuffing them down, like down his gullet, like there was no food ever coming back. And I could not beat that. I'm sorry. I just couldn't.
01:04:16
Speaker
me that's fair That's fair. That's like saying the Mets are the best team in baseball because they have decent pitch. All right, here we go. You know what? I'm done with this show. I was going to bring up places that placed, but they're no longer relevant. It was 2013.
01:04:35
Speaker
So it makes no difference. Did anyone see this call? Amul sent this to me. The greatest strikeout call ever. Watch this guy. I think he pulled a hammy at the end. Watch him. Oh, he goes down. He does a little shimmy.
01:04:50
Speaker
I knew are you would post this. He starts pumping the hips. He's getting down. And then, boom! Oh, I think I tore my hammy. I think I can't get up. I can't get up. I don't know what's happening. Down goes Frasier. Down goes Frasier. Watch it, watch it, watch it. He goes for the punch out.
01:05:09
Speaker
He tries to do the split. I keep it up. Ladies and gentlemen, let this be a lesson also. If you're a salsa dancer, you've salsa danced before, probably not a good idea to to implement some of the moves when you're an umpire.
01:05:24
Speaker
Just my my best to not do that. Or in a full show. Stay away from bachata dance moves as well, what you're calling a game. my man thought he was at the club. ah All right. That's it, y'all. Hey, thank you, everybody, for tuning in today. What an amazing show. I have so much fun here with my brothers. Appreciate them coming in and blessing the stream.

01:07:13
Speaker
Cinde Raffaella. So, yeah, Raffaella.
01:07:17
Speaker
all and i' same I'm just happy that all this is sucking it up. I'm going to say this and it's going to come off as a mini rant, but how dare MLB not manufacture anything with Raffaella's name not on the back of a player tee yet.
01:07:32
Speaker
He's been with your team for how long? He signed an eight-year extension and you still haven't released any player merch with Raffaella on the back of a Chicago... Why not?
01:07:44
Speaker
Why not? He's the centerpiece of your of your outfield. Okay, yeah, you can count Roman Anthony too, but like as your center as your centerpiece, but like why not today?
