Speaker: Brooke, I was really happy when you agreed to do this podcast with me. Do you want to talk a little bit about what your hopes and plans are for the podcast? Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker: Our plan for the podcast is going to be more broad than some, I believe. We're not just going to stick specifically to books, but also explore mystery from movies and TV and really look at what makes it such an enduring genre. And a genre that stretches

Speaker: and bleeds into other work as well. So I'm excited for us to be able to have these conversations and maybe tie in mystery with lots of other genres and culture at large. Why don't you share with our listeners kind of what they can expect, what's coming up in our next episodes of the podcast.

Speaker: So I think we're going to start with looking at who are the masters of the genre, first by doing a couple of episodes about Agatha Christie and her contribution to the genre. I mean, I don't think there's any better place for us to start than with her. And then we're going to do a couple of episodes about Sir Arthur

Speaker: Conan Doyle and his contributions to the space in terms of Sherlock and Dr. Watson. And then another couple of episodes about some of the other real pioneers of the genre.

Speaker: And in there, we're hoping to talk to a few authors and other people who are real experts in the mystery space so that we can get their perspective as well. Yeah, that's something I'm really looking forward to is bringing in people and having interviews with folks that we look up to that are experts in the field and get their perspective as well.

Speaker: Cool, and I'm just excited to talk about mystery with someone who wants to talk about it with me. And as we know, we could talk about it together all day, every day. There's so much to say. There is, yeah. Yeah, so we'll just see where it goes.
