Fall Weather and Personal Experiences

00:00:40
Speaker
Tom, here with Trevor. How's it going, Trevor? Hey, pretty good. Trying to...
00:00:45
Speaker
Try to get into the fall vibes. Or I guess maybe it's not. I don't know what it's like there for you, but it is very much like, like, you know, we're we're like a weekend to fall. And around here, it's like it's been actually abnormally hot.
00:01:00
Speaker
So so it's here's felt like summer. ah Right up until the end of summer. And it's just really been the last like two days that the temperature started to drop. And the funny thing is, is that around here, it's like, as soon as it gets a little bit cold, all the trees turn yellow and like start dropping leaves. Like, it's just funny how quickly it switched. So.
00:01:19
Speaker
i'm I'm trying to get into it. I actually made myself a London Fog, and I put some pumpkin spice flavoring into it. so okay I know you don't like pumpkin spice, but I'm... No, I like the spice. I just don't like pumpkin.
00:01:33
Speaker
Okay. well So I like pumpkin spice, just not pumpkin itself. yeah yeah so So I've got a pumpkin spice London Fog going right now to try and... um you know, embrace fall a little bit. Well, when do the Halloween decorations go out for you though? I mean, how long can you hold your wife off on those or no? So we actually don't really do Halloween decorations anymore. Cause like it got to a point that the problem is, is that around here you're kind of gambling with it because they will, or or depending on how the weather goes, like it can, if it's nice,
00:02:09
Speaker
When Halloween's over, you take up the decorations, especially like stuff on the lawn. Like you end up having to like, like put stakes into the lawn and stuff to like, like, yeah, got things to stay. The problem here though, is that depending on how the,
00:02:23
Speaker
the weather is progressing up to Halloween. You can have all that stuff frozen into and into the ground. ground yeah so that So then it actually is, yeah, it's way harder to take up the Halloween decorations and then put out the Christmas decorations. So we decided years ago that we don't put out Halloween decorations because we're like, well, we're just like, they're going be up for, you know, maybe a month. And then we're switching them out for the Christmas decorations anyway, because yes, my wife is very much, she's a bigger fan of Christmas than she is of Halloween.
00:02:52
Speaker
And she's listening to this going, oh, like, no, honey, we're not putting up the Christmas decorations before Halloween. And I've already said that, but I'm to say it again because we're talking about this.
00:03:03
Speaker
You should just you should run your decorations on Disney schedule, right? So like Disney doesn't start putting up Christmas decorations until after Halloween. That's that is what we do. that That is the rule is that we say, you know, you know, we don't put any that.
00:03:15
Speaker
And actually, so. technically that that's, that's a little bit of a lie because we actually do, we already have our Christmas lights up in the backyard. But the only reason we do that is because we kind of set them up and then,
00:03:29
Speaker
then we don't like, we don't have to mess with them or anything. And we don't take them. That's what you're saying. Yeah. and Well, well, yeah, we, we lead them up way longer than we should, but then also um because it it sucks trying to put them up again when it's really cold after Halloween.
00:03:43
Speaker
um But we, we just don't turn them on until after Halloween. So. Yeah, it's always too like with with like, especially with like string Christmas lights, the like, you know, the the wires like get really hard in the cold, like even just like a little bit of cold.
00:03:57
Speaker
It's a lot harder to like wrap them around stuff. Yeah, yeah they they get brittle and they break and stuff. So yeah, it it's easier to set it up when or I found it's easier to set them up when they're warm. So so yeah, yeah, we're like I said, but as far as like fall goes, I'm i'm trying to like,
00:04:13
Speaker
i'm I'm very much a summer person, and so I i don't like fall, but i'm trying to like um way i'm trying to yeah I'm trying to embrace it a little bit this year. but So that's where I'm at today.
00:04:26
Speaker
but I know we had talked before this, and yeah. I'm struggling a cold today. Yeah, yeah to Tom's not feeling great, everyone. So if he's, you know... If I say anything really stupid, you know, it's blaming all the cold.
00:04:40
Speaker
Yeah, yeah the the medication's doing it, but also, you know, we are human. If you need to, like, step away and cough or whatever, it's fine. That's why we have mute buttons, my friend. Yeah, exactly.
00:04:51
Speaker
That's why we got mute buttons. that Listen, i this is probably... I was talking to Trevor about this. We've been doing this a really long time now. now And, I mean, Trevor's powered through colds on here. I've... I think I've had pneumonia once on and done the show. I've had COVID multiple times and done the show. i um you know we We still do the show. And that's you know we we still want to put something out for everybody. And so you know i I feel pretty good for the most part. It's just you know the coughing thing. I think everyone here has had a cough in their life.
00:05:22
Speaker
ah you know You can't always suppress it when it's going on. So despite my best efforts and multiple medications, I'm I'll try my best here. But I you know, like I said, I'm i'm in pretty good shape. So but thank you.
00:05:34
Speaker
and I was going to say to you, i you know, you asked how it was down here. And I mean, just a couple days ago down here it was 90 degrees, which is 32 Celsius. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's I mean, we yeah the most we've been at is 28, which that's that's like really hot.
00:05:49
Speaker
around. that's so Yeah, that's pretty warm. Yeah. yeah Yeah. I mean, listen, it's it it has been getting colder at night, too. But, you know, it's it's it's it's been very warm. And and I was, i you know, it's this is funny. I talked about this on the show. I did a you know weird al concert a couple months ago and it was like 95 degrees and it was an out outdoor thing. Well, I went to another concert on Wednesday night, also at an outdoor amphitheater, and it was 93 degrees when i got there.
00:06:16
Speaker
uh and then it it slowly went down but as it went down the humidity went up right so like we eventually got down into like the 70s but then the humidity was up at like 85 so it was like nothing changed it was cool but it was gross out you know like it you just it felt gross and i'm like why do i do these outdoor concerts they're fun and all but like i mean given it's not my choice you know it's the the artists i want to go see happens yeah the venues that they pick is yeah i i I get it, too. you know, we we have a couple of outdoor venues here, but they're really only active in the summer for the most part. But yeah, you know, it that same kind of thing is, yeah, you know, looking at maybe maybe maybe this is a symptom of getting older and it's kind of it's kind of the same thing of like going to Disney is
00:07:02
Speaker
you know, you know, when you're going to like, you know, anywhere where it's like, there's going to be a lot of people, you kind of have to think about it from like, okay, if it's going to be really hot, do I have space away from people? Or is this going to be just like, yeah, a miserable experience where like everybody's crowded in, right? Like, yeah, that's the especially a concert. i I can see that right is, you know, you, you kind of have to gauge if if it's worth it or not like luckily this particular concert was not sold out so there was actually like a whole bunch of seats to my left and to my right and so which was kind of nice because it got to spread out a little bit uh which which you know was cool i i mean here's me though i i always feel bad for the band in that situation i'm like man that must stink to like look out there and see like empty seats you know you want to have a yeah but you know what are gonna do
00:07:50
Speaker
ah Anyway, so all that yeah and i' I'm going to try my best to power through this today. i think I'll be all right. But i'm just FYI, you know, for everybody out there that I do have a cold. So if I do sound kind of nasally, that's the other reason, too. But, you know, we're going to get through it. So.

Disney Quick Service Discussion

00:08:06
Speaker
All right. So why don't we start with a listener question? Because ah Chris in the discord was kind enough to put in a question for us. And and OK, so I'm going to preface this one by the this is our opinions.
00:08:22
Speaker
And anything that we say here is not fact. And everyone is well within their right to have their opinions on the subject. There was a lot of disagreement about this question in the discord. Yes, there was. So, so the, quote so actually all ah Chris said was, what is your least favorite quick service in the parks? Yeah. Yeah.
00:08:41
Speaker
Everyone went mad to Kingdom on this, which I was actually kind of surprised by. i mean, I'm not, honestly. I know. there's some there' Yeah, there's some rough options there. I agree. Yeah. yeah Well, it's they're they're not rough. ah so So here's the thing but about the quick services. and And I said this in the Discord as well, is that it's not that there's any bad quick services, but in comparison to the other quick services, sure yeah some are less attractive. And the problem is, is yeah, Magic Kingdom, if you look at...
00:09:09
Speaker
the you know you know The spread of options in Magic Kingdom is really like you've got Cosmic Rays, you've got ah Village House, and Pecos Bills are kind they're like the three big ones. and And then there's other smaller ones scattered about.
00:09:21
Speaker
But you know Cosmic Rays has always been Burgers and fries late and and actually to be fair the last time I was there I had an impossible burger which was really good.
00:09:32
Speaker
um But for the most part it's you know they're pretty basic. Yeah. um Pinocchio Village House is pizza and then sorry not not just pizza but like mostly the flatbreads or what. pizza Yeah they do the flatbreads there. Yeah.
00:09:46
Speaker
And then you've got Pecos Bills, which, and I said this too in the Discord, that Pecos Bills used to be way better. And yeah it's taken a few hits in the menu over the last couple of years. And like even the last time we were there, like the selections are like, oh, you get like these Taco Bowls. But it's like they changed up...
00:10:06
Speaker
the recipe or they changed up what they're doing and it's just not as good. And, and the thing that I liked about it was that it was very customizable and they took a lot of that away. And I think,
00:10:17
Speaker
that That was really the the big selling point of it. So then, yeah, because all like all of those options are kind of like, yeah like you know they're just like basic fast food options. Whereas, um like you know even talking about this with my wife, like um you know looking at even at connections in Epcot, the menu of connections is really good. like there's There's a lot of good stuff on the menu.
00:10:43
Speaker
Yeah. And they just don't have that in, in magic kingdom. So, so yeah, you know, but yeah, i was I was trying to rank in my head, Trevor, of parks with best quick service versus worst quick service, right?
00:10:55
Speaker
And part of me, so my my ranking in my head goes Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios last. Last for me is Hollywood Studios. Just ah because there's very there's so few options in Hollywood Studios.
00:11:12
Speaker
ah And it's, you know, because you basically have the commissa ABC Commissary and you have the one that's over by Indiana Jones. And get what else? got What's that? You've got you've got to Galaxy's Edge. the Yeah, that's I don't even i don't i don't know. I mean, I don't know if I really think because they got the Ronto wraps and everything. Yeah.
00:11:31
Speaker
And it's so limited, though. It's not like a sit down restaurant. You know, it's like, well, it. But it's a quick service, right? so um I just don't like my options there. I think that there's there's not enough quick service options there. And honestly, if we were going to do worst ever, i mean, Pizza Rizzo was not great.
00:11:49
Speaker
Just going to throw that out there. That's gone now. so bret maybe it doesn't count. I mean... okay I'll be honest. If I'm going for theme park pizza, the bar is very, very low to begin with. That's very true. I don't...
00:12:03
Speaker
like i don't Yeah, like I know what you're saying. And I mean, to be fair, I think I ate at Pizza Rizzo like once. And then before that, it was actually when it was Pizza Planet. It's pretty much the same thing, though. Yeah, exactly. you know but so But yeah yeah, you know, i you're right. like Like it was it was never that was never good.
00:12:24
Speaker
And yeah, it's kind of or it's gone now. So I guess that doesn't it doesn't count because it's gone. Yeah. and And sorry, I am going to defend Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy's Edge here. Like, I'm actually just looking at the menu right now.
00:12:37
Speaker
There's pork ribs. There's tuna poke. There is... hot chicken tip-yip.
00:12:49
Speaker
Oh, yeah, the tip. Yeah. Yeah. yeah yeah So so they've they've got like, yeah, so like crispy chicken and stuff like it's. I just want to think to go to to go to to Galaxy's Edge to have lunch.
00:13:00
Speaker
You know what I mean? Like it's not convenient. you know Right. And I think that that that's a bit of the harder part, too, is that you like like when I started thinking about this question, my problem is, is that, you know, ah for a lot of quick services, when I find one that I like, I just go back there.
00:13:17
Speaker
So yeah yeah I'm not necessarily like trying all them, although over time I have tried a lot of them just due to due to circumstance and all that. I do kind of agree with your assessment from from the park level, but like the I'm I'm really struggling I don't want to. yeah You know don't to give your worst.
00:13:39
Speaker
i Well, I mean, technically the, the, the one that the one that I'm the least excited to go to, but I do end up going there every time. And it's only because of the fact that it is one of the biggest and most convenient ones is cosmic rays.
00:13:55
Speaker
I don't mind cosmic rays. I really don't. yeah And this, but you're right. that This is the thing though, is that it's not that I, I dislike it. And it like, like that does the job man is that, yeah, it it is entirely functional. It, like I said, it's a huge location. it you know, it, it, it serves the purpose, but honestly, it is, it is the most boring.
00:14:16
Speaker
and And that's why I think it's the worst because like I'm very much, and my wife can attest this. My, my wife hates ordering food for me. Like, it you know, if we're doing like, like, uh, you know, if she's like ordering something on like, uh, skip the dishes or something, she'll give me the phone and be like, pick what you want. Because I'm always, because like most of the time it'll be like, I will pick something ah like from like,
00:14:46
Speaker
She'll know like, oh, you know, if we're having like subway, he usually gets this kind of sub. But like every once I'm like, oh, what else did they have on the menu? And I like really like dive through the menu and go listen and I go looking for something new. Right.
00:14:57
Speaker
And this is the same. Trevor, you're like my wife. You're yeah you. ah You will get the some the same thing sometimes. But then every once in while, you're just like, let's do something really random. yeah like yeah And that's the problem with cosmic rays is that I go there and then I look at them and yeah I go, ah, there's nothing like it, nothing interesting or surprising is there for me. Whereas every other quick service location. And like you said, across the rest of the parks, I can hit them up and be like, oh, there's, yeah you know,
00:15:24
Speaker
what is this thing there? There's like a salad meal. There's a, you know, a poke bowl. There's a, whatever, like it's, yeah yeah i get you know, I, I can, I can go and explore a bunch of different things at a lot of quick service locations. And, and I'll be, you know, you know, to be fair, I have been disappointed by, you know,
00:15:44
Speaker
stuff that I've tried that, you know, it wasn't quite what I expected. But if we're just talking about the quick serve locations, like I said, I feel like cosmic rays, it only gets the, on the list for me just because of the fact that it is too predictable.
00:15:57
Speaker
I get that. I get it. So it's not necessarily bad. So please, not yeah. Yeah. So please don't come for me because I'm calling out cosmic rays like this. How dare. I know. how How dare you. yeah I know. who's I mean, are there really, you know,
00:16:13
Speaker
Are there really like ah people that are like stans for Cosmic Rays? Okay, people love Cosmic Ray. Like, specifically the fact that... I love Sunny Eclipse. Sorry, yeah. You're right. Sunny Eclipse. I mean, yeah.
00:16:27
Speaker
they They love Sunny Eclipse. And i was trying to remember, he he has a cousin, I think, in... yeah One of the other parks. But yeah, like sorry. Yeah, I don't know why I thought his name was Cosmic Ray for a second there. You're right It's Sunny Eclipse.
00:16:42
Speaker
And, you know, people love going there because of Sunny Eclipse and because yeah there is an atmosphere to it, right? um It's not... or I mean, the atmosphere is really like you're going and you're watching Sunny Eclipse. And it's like... It's honestly like...
00:16:56
Speaker
Theme wise, it is like it's it's that futuristic thing that they have going on, but it's still it is stuck in the 90s. But I actually think it's very endearing. Like, you know, the the decor and everything is it's good. But but again, like I said, as far as a a quick service goes, it's just not it.
00:17:15
Speaker
It has a hard time keeping up with the other options is the biggest problem I have with it. ah I'm going to say this. I don't think that I've ever had a straight up bad meal at Disney, like where it was just like inedible, like terrible, like, you know, i I've never had it. I mean, I've had things that I liked more than other things, you know, of course. Right.
00:17:35
Speaker
But I don't think I've ever had anything where I've like literally sent it back. Never. Like I'm not eating this disgusting slot. You know what I mean? You've never like stopped eating something like had a bite and been like, no this is not happening. like Yeah. Yeah.
00:17:45
Speaker
Yeah, I generally find that the food is is a pretty good quality. What was interesting to me is one of my go to's for in Magic Kingdom is Columbia, Columbia Harbor House. And several people in the discord had said that that was their their pick for worse. And i was I was surprised by this because honestly, and listen, I haven't been in a couple of years. I'll admit that.
00:18:04
Speaker
But the last time I went there, that was everyone was very happy with their food. Um, but you know, don't know. Things change, right? the The one thing I learned from, like, I would have said Columbia Harbor house, but to be fair, I haven't had enough of the food there. And part of the reason for that is that the last time we went there, I had the lobster roll, which I realized that I don't like lobster rolls.
00:18:26
Speaker
Okay. That's fair. It it was still good. like Like that, that that's the thing is that it was still like, it was okay. But I was like, I don't want to eat another lobster roll. And again, I'm not like, please don't come for me because I know there's people that are very passionate about eating lobster rolls. So, so, but again, I see what you're saying is, you you know, people can say, you know, the, like the food quality has gone down whatever, but I feel like in terms of options, like it's not like, like, or the way I look at a quick service is, you know, what are they actually offering? If it's like, if there's only like one or two things on the menu, what's,
00:19:01
Speaker
If they're good, you know, rightfully so, like, you know, enjoy it. But if it's if it's just basic, like like I said, I go back to the you know the burgers and fries thing. If it's just like anything you could get at McDonald's or anywhere else, yeah I don't think, like, that's a bigger problem for me than whether or not, like...
00:19:21
Speaker
over time there may be like ups and downs of food quality, right? Like that's, yeah. So I, I just thought of one that I kind of had discounted and now given this is also a restaurant that is going away, but probably the most mediocre meal I've ever had at Disney was restaurant a source.
00:19:40
Speaker
That's really, yeah. Cause again, it's a basic burger and fry place. But like what last time I, when I was there in May, we went there and i not, not in May. I'm sorry. We went there last year and it was just, I mean, they didn't do burger and fries very well.
00:19:55
Speaker
Well, that's going away too. So that's going away too. I will say my number one, my number one is flame tree. And I, there'll some agreement with that and probably some disagreement, but my number one for a long time now has been flame tree.
00:20:08
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, yeah, we we do make a point of going to Flame Tree. Absolutely. Because, yeah, it it is one of, it is definitely one of the better quick services on property, like, like hands down.
00:20:20
Speaker
um I will tell you, Regal Eagle is really good as well. But the problem is with Regal Eagle is that there's so many good food options at Epcot, you don't think to go to barbecue, you know? I'm never going to eat at Regal Eagle because by the time I get around World Showcase and all the other booths and everything, I'm just not hungry.
00:20:37
Speaker
ah yeah that's the problem like i and i'm not going straight there sorry i'm not but yeah because they're they're like that's honestly the the problem with epcot is like you know outside you know the food booths are one thing but then they've got you know you know they've got uh sunshine seasons and connections are like like both have have really good menus and then yeah in the uh um on the world showcase, like there there is all the different pavilions that have, you know, some of them have restaurants as well. Like, um, yeah mean I mean, not all of them are quick services, but like they're like, there's way too many options at Epcot. And that's why, yeah. I mean, listen, you're talking about the crate place that France you're competing with, which is great. I mean, you can go to the, I mean, in Mexico, that, that little quick service for Mexican food.
00:21:24
Speaker
And in, in Japan, there is the, uh, the, It's I think it's yakitori or but yeah they do like sushi and like all that, like a bunch of different stuff. Yeah. Yeah. So it's like, yeah, it's hard. It's hard because there's a lot of good food options in Epcot, especially when there's a festival going on.
00:21:41
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I don't think there is. I personally don't think there's a bad option in Epcot or I've never if there is, I've never had it. Yeah. um And again, this goes back to, you know, if if we're going through a park by park, like,
00:21:54
Speaker
I mean, when i when I go to Hollywood Studios, I mean, we're we're usually not doing quick services Hollywood Studios. But like i said, looking at the Galaxy's Edge, like that's a decent quick service.
00:22:06
Speaker
like it's That one is a decent option. I will agree. Yeah, yeah but I will agree. but then But then you're right. I haven't been to ah haven't been to ABC Commissary in a while. That tends to be our go-to just because it's the biggest. So you can usually get in and out of there pretty quick.
00:22:21
Speaker
And it's serviceable. But like that usually is like the one that we would go to. And again, not because it's good, because it's quick and easy. You know what I mean like Sometimes you just need quick and easy. Uh, you know, that's, that's really kind of what it comes down to. you But yeah, I mean, you really only got, you got ABC commissary there, Backlot Express, Catalina Eddie's, which doesn't really have all that much docking bay seven. I mean, there's, there's, ah and then the Ronto roasters, Rosie's, which again is, is kind of basic stuff.
00:22:49
Speaker
I don't even know if I consider Woody's lunchbox to be quick service. I mean, I guess, yeah you know, they're pretty limited. um but yeah, yeah So, hold on. I'm looking at the menu for ABC Commissary right now. yeah Okay.
00:23:02
Speaker
Chicken Club Sandwich, Shrimp Tacos, Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Pork Carnitas Tacos, Metrain Saddle. That's a good spread of stuff. these yeah They usually have good stuff. I mean, honestly, we've never had a bad experience there. and there's a lot of ways Sorry, for for me, Cosmic Rays is still at the bottom of the list.
00:23:22
Speaker
thats and And again, just because it's... yeah I get it, man. i Listen, I get it. I i don't disagree with with any of that. i think I think Magic Kingdom has had a lot of challenges with quick service. For what for what reason? I don't know. yeah I feel like it have the best food, but I don't know.
00:23:39
Speaker
But i mean, the the problem is they don't need to. that well I mean, that's true, right? yeah because Because it is the biggest park. It is the most visited park. It it it doesn't... they They don't need to compete i meet from... Yeah, exactly. And and yeah, im again, I'm just looking at their there menu. Yeah, it's still you know Angus bacon cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, truffle French onion burger.
00:24:06
Speaker
Okay, that that's... Yeah, i don't know what they're doing there, but... um and chicken strips different right yeah and actually yeah yeah this is the funny thing about cosmic rays we we ah like when my son was younger we were always at cosmic rays because he went through a phase where he was just all about chicken strips oh the chicken yeah the chicken strips there are great yeah it's just like like you know we know where to find chicken strips this is it like that's yeah that is the great thing about disney though is you can find chicken strips pretty much anywhere yeah Yeah, true. But but yeah, well like we we kind of latched on to it was like just go to Cosmic Rays because we were usually in Magic Kingdom lot of the time anyway. So, yeah, yeah. Like I think I think that is honestly that was a way harder question to answer.
00:24:51
Speaker
But then i have it. But please weigh in. Yeah. Weigh in on Facebook or or you know wherever you want to weigh in. You can also comment. i don't know if people realize this, but on Spotify, if you listen to us there, you can actually comment on each episode. So you you can comment on that. you know What's your least favorite restaurant is there or your most favorite? Yeah.
00:25:09
Speaker
You know, either way, um it's going to be hard for it to topple flame tree for me, because every time I even though I've gotten attacked by the birds, there's at least twice.

DVC Member Benefits and Events

00:25:18
Speaker
um you Like, literally, I had one swoop over our table and grab our food like it was no joke. And oh, yeah, they they they have no fear.
00:25:26
Speaker
but so No, they don't. They don't. And listen, but the people at the restaurant know that and they like immediately replace your food. And like i ah each time it's happened, it's been... you know they they They know. They've tried to prevent it. It's just hard.
00:25:37
Speaker
Yeah. that they I know that like we've talked about it like years ago where like they were actually employing like people with dogs and and stuff. They've like cats and stuff. It's a whole thing, man.
00:25:47
Speaker
But i listen, the wildlife agrees. Flame tree, the best, right? It's the only place it happens. Yeah. yeah I mean, you know squirrels get into everything, but the fact that yeah birds are like overtly like attacking you for your food. that i mean, they should literally put that on the sign. So good, the wildlife wants to eat it. like you know yeah so yeah but That's true. You don't get that anywhere else on property. You don't, you don't. yeah But let's, let's talk about die some DVC stuff. So um we got some, a member exclusive. This is again, ah this, ah this is coming back again. And this is Hoopty Doo musical review is going to have two two special shows just for DVC owners.
00:26:29
Speaker
So the Hoopty holidays, which is a great name ah back for 20, 2025, two exclusive performances for DVC owners. ah You get a special commemorative keepsake and and a unique ah themed pre-show.
00:26:43
Speaker
And it also says a variety of unique holiday touches to the classic show. ah So these this is happening December 9th and December 16th. and And it's ah four. Well, so it's four o'clock and 615. So does that mean there's four shows then?
00:26:59
Speaker
They said two performances, but now there's two shows a day. So is it four performances? So, so yeah it's yeah, it's four performances over two days. and Okay. ah Doors open at 4 p.m. and 6.15 for the two nightly presentations.
00:27:13
Speaker
You know what to do with you's biggest problem is, Trevor? and I'm sure you're going to figure this out, right? Is getting there. that It's it impossible to get there. so No, it's not impossible, but it's a pain. Yeah, I mean, you're you're right. I guess the last time we went there, we we um we actually used a minivan when we went there. Yeah, that's that's the way to do it.
00:27:32
Speaker
Yeah, because they can actually get close enough without you having to walk or take a boat or whatever. um Yeah, you're right. Yeah. Getting there is the biggest problem.
00:27:43
Speaker
I thought you were going to say they don't bring you enough chicken because I mean. So I still have not done Hoopty Doo Review as an adult. Right. So. Oh, really? OK. So I did it when i was a kid and I actually have fairly strong memories of this.
00:27:58
Speaker
um However, we were going to do it ah and it ended up getting canceled ah the the time that we were going to do it. So if yeah, because, and I don't know if anybody remembers this, but a couple of years back, I basically went to Disney the day after a hurricane rolled through.
00:28:14
Speaker
And because of that, they had all of Fort Wilderness closed down when I still got there because, you know, all the tall trees that anytime a hurricane rolls through, they usually will have Fort Wilderness. They to do safety checks in Fort Wilderness. Yeah.
00:28:27
Speaker
Yeah. So we were supposed to do it and it got canceled because of that hurricane. So we, ah you know, I haven't done it as an adult yet. So it's, it's something I want to definitely prioritize. Obviously we have different things that we're prioritizing right now because we have the, the, you know, the Christmas party and everything.
00:28:41
Speaker
um But by the way, you have to be a blue card member for this. So, you know, in other words, DVC membership, extra owner, direct DVC owner. Or grandfathered, of course. ah And the the member does have to be in attendance.
00:28:56
Speaker
ah But reservations do open up on October 10th. And you do have to contact member services, it seems, to book it. Yeah. And also, it does say each owner can make a reservation for a party of up to 12.
00:29:08
Speaker
So, so i don't know about you. if If you and your wife are both technically members on your, on your membership, we are, uh, you, you could take 24 people to do per member or per membership.
00:29:23
Speaker
Each owner, it says. Wow. Okay. Yeah. So that means could... I don't want to give out incorrect information because we gave out incorrect information a couple weeks ago and I don't want to do that again. Yeah. No, know when they've said these things in the past, it's like each owner technically has their own...
00:29:39
Speaker
allotment that they can book, which, mean, if you're inviting 24 people to ho you do review one, like you have, you have a lot of money. <unk> sorry I mean, it's cause yeah, each ah or, you know, the categories on this go. And I mean, i don't think these prices have changed.
00:29:56
Speaker
a lot from when I did it a couple of years ago, but you know, it's, you know, category one is 83, two is 79, three is 75. So 83 obviously is like the the front and center ones. And then it moves further back.
00:30:10
Speaker
It's really, if you think about it, you're paying for, it's a dinner show. I mean, there's a whole, cast it's a whole thing. So, you know, it's, it's a show. Yeah. it's It's a show and you, you do get a really good meal with it too. Yeah.
00:30:21
Speaker
Yeah. i said Well, the fried chicken was, was fantastic. Yeah. They do have a good food there too. I've heard. So I, I, but like I said, I, I haven't, I think the last time I was there, maybe when I was, oh gosh, I had to have it might, it might've been 1999. Yeah.
00:30:36
Speaker
Or maybe even earlier than that. Yeah. It's been a long time. So but ah the other thing here is speaking of member benefits, right?
00:30:48
Speaker
There's some ah free keepsakes and treats for members during the 2025 holiday holiday parties, which I'm going to certainly be taking advantage of. i think we already talked about this one at Magic Kingdom. You're going to be able to stop by McKim's Mile House during the Christmas party for a complimentary holiday magnet.
00:31:04
Speaker
So I'm certainly going to be doing that. Although it says, although it you know what? It says the nights that it's good, they're going to be doing it. And it's not one of the nights that I'm there. So it looks like it's only certain nights.
00:31:16
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. So that's annoying. It is. Yeah. Yeah. They're only running these basically through November or three days in November, three days in December.
00:31:27
Speaker
On Fridays, every Friday, basically. Yeah. Except for the 28th. And yeah. Are you, you're not doing a Friday, are you? No, we're doing a Tuesday, man. We're we're there on the 25th.
00:31:40
Speaker
That's unfortunate. It is. And then, and then again, this doesn't apply to you either, but during Jollywood nights, they're also doing two nights though.
00:31:51
Speaker
Yeah. Two nights, the 27 or sorry, the 14th. I'm dyslexic right now. It's the 17th and the 24th. I read those completely back. Yikes. I don't know why did that. Yeah. Yeah.
00:32:02
Speaker
yeah Um, yeah, but yeah, so you can get those yeah but limited nights, which, yeah, I guess if this is always the problem of if you, if you do happen to be there for it, you know, definitely take advantage of it. But, uh, I mean, it's, it usually doesn't line up with, uh, or I feel like we are the kind of people that don't go to the crazy busy events, you know, going back to the earlier, i avoid you know, going, going to going to like, you know, crowded,
00:32:32
Speaker
uh, concerts and stuff is that this is the same kind of problem is that they offer these, uh, they offer these extras, but for those of us that deliberately avoid the busiest times, we don't ever get to partake in these extras.
00:32:46
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, that's exactly right. Yeah. that act That's kind of annoying me that they're only doing it on a Fridays McKim's. Like, why? Just do it for all of them. Like, you know, why do I got to not get to do cool things? Because ah you only want to do Probably because they don't want somebody standing at... Like, I have to wonder what the intersection of DVC members and people going to the holiday parties is. Because I feel like... like Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I feel like there hits a point where there's not... I don't think there's as many DVC members doing the holiday parties as you think because they don't... That's fair....have to, right? You're there enough as a DVC member that you're not going out of your way to do those past a certain point. A lot people still though. I mean, it's not like weird thing, don't think. Yeah, but... You're right, but I'm saying for the point of hosting a DVC-specific thing in the party, I feel like that there is not...
00:33:47
Speaker
There's a reason that they're picking these particular events to do it. Right. I feel like the lounge should be open too. That's just me though. I mean, I think I open up McKim's man. Like how much does it really take? but yeah You need like three or four. Yeah. come on Yeah. they They need somebody to man the lounge and they probably, they probably have enough people doing overtime with the parties as it is. So I don't know. Wow.
00:34:08
Speaker
I know you just want to go to McKim's. i mean so i just McKim's is nice. I like it. It's nice little quiet, you know, get away from the party. I see is that's good i don't really want to get away from the party. you want to We're going to be running from thing to thing. We're going to be experiencing this. So, I mean, you know.
00:34:23
Speaker
Yeah, that that's true. you You don't really want to. That's the other thing, too, is like for a holiday party, you don't want to be sitting in a lounge anyway. No. Yeah.
00:34:34
Speaker
No, I definitely, we can, we can talk more about that later just call it. We, cause yeah, we, we, we need to talk about you and going to a holiday party cause you haven't done one in a while. But, uh,
00:34:47
Speaker
We are, we're actually about halfway through the rundown. So do we want to do the ad? Yeah, I think we probably should. Okay. So yeah, this week, our sponsor is DVC Rental Store, which is a world of DVC company that offers magical vacations at incredible value.

00:35:29
Speaker
All right, Trevor. I know this is a topic that's near and dear to your heart. Yeah. Which is is Disney After Hours. i This has become, I feel like, and I don't want to speak for you, like your favorite event, seemingly. Right? I mean, we we definitely don't ignore After Hours events because even though they only run for a couple of hours, there is... you get a lot done. You do everything.
00:35:56
Speaker
Yeah. You do a lot and just As crazy as it sounds, and and it's not it's not the big selling point, but it's like, as you're running around, the fact that they they're just like handing popcorn to you, you can get ice cream bars, you can get drinks. like it's a weird it It feels very weirdly special like because everything in Disney usually is like, you've got to pay for it, right?
00:36:22
Speaker
Yeah, yeah. And when it's like, you're hitting like you're doing all the rides, like you're speed running to do that right and And then, and then, and then in between, like you're, you're like getting food. it's it's almost like a marathon, you know, where, we you know where they're grabbing the cuffs of water, but you're grabbing, you know, ice cream bars.
00:36:43
Speaker
Um, it's a very cool experience. And yes, I very much do like the after hours parties because they, even though I do go during the day and I like experiencing it during the day,
00:36:55
Speaker
um After hours parties are, yes, i I can, I cannot advocate for them enough as a, yeah the most bang for your buck in the shortest amount of time is why I like them.
00:37:09
Speaker
That's understandable. i you know it's It's interesting because i we were i was we were you know had some friends over last weekend and we were chatting about a trip that we had taken you know many years ago, probably.
00:37:20
Speaker
you know when we first When we first bought DVC, we we brought um my sister-in-law and a friend, right? and And we all went. And that trip we had was back when Magic Kingdom, just for extra magic hours, would be open until 2 a.m. m like that's i think that's what bothers me about the after hours is that it used to be an included thing, and now it's not.
00:37:41
Speaker
You know what I mean? like it you They used to just keep the park open until 2 a.m. m on certain days, and now they just, even with the after hours part of the only go to 1 a.m., m which is you know yeah kind of a bummer. Because honestly, that 2 a.m. m night in Magic Kingdom was like one of my favorite Disney things ever.
00:37:55
Speaker
Honestly, it was so much fun and it was just really cool to be in the empty park. And and you get a similar feeling, I think, with after. Yeah. Right. Yeah. there There does hit a point at the after hours like it's busy at the beginning and then and like it starts to fall off. And then and then you exactly that you hit those moments of like you're walking through Adventureland or you're like standing in like.
00:38:18
Speaker
I have a video of me and my brother because we did an after hours party back in May. And my brother, you know, got to experience all of that, too. And he had never done that before. But, you know, you know, spinning around in the middle of the hub and there's like nobody around you. It's cool. Like it's yeah, it it is.
00:38:35
Speaker
I get what you mean. Yeah. Yeah. Like for the same reason is, you know, staying till like 2 a.m. m or whatever. The after hours parties kind of fill that gap, but unfortunately, it does come with a ticket price. So it does.
00:38:47
Speaker
It does. And now, you know, so what we're talking about is 2026 at this point. So this, they've announced the dates and and all that fun stuff. ah Pretty much the same as far as like, there's going to be snacks and all that stuff. So you get the, the, the, ice cream, the popcorn, the bottled beverages, all that fun stuff.
00:39:03
Speaker
ah Magic Kingdom, so you're talking Tron is going to be open, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs, Haunted Mansion, Small World, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Under under the Sea, Journey a Little Mermaid, and Mad Tea Party.
00:39:15
Speaker
Leaves out a fair amount of things. so So this actually says highlights include. So so they they aren't listing everything on here. they're They're just kind of saying like all most of the rides should be open, you know, barring you know, maintenance, stuff like that. I'm pretty sure that, you know, they're, they're definitely not calling out big thunder on here because you know, they're, they're doing maintenance over there. Right. And really weird. They leave off pirates and Tiana and like, you know, maybe there's, maybe they have some plans for that because, and it could be because of the fact that all the construction's going on over there.
00:39:51
Speaker
Yeah. It might be easier for them to just like close off those lands for 2026. Dumbo. Yeah. no dumbbo Yeah, but are are you really hanging out in Storybook Circus during an after hours party, though?
00:40:04
Speaker
I mean, no, I'm just saying. What if I want to go on Dumbo? i I don't think you do. ah Okay. What if I want to go on the people mover? There's no people mover on here.
00:40:16
Speaker
Oh, it'll be open. Guaranteed. It's always open. I mean, how could it not be? Well, unless it's broken. My wife spends... If it wasn't open, I would hear about it because my wife... When we are running around Tomorrowland hitting all Tron and Space Mountain and all that stuff, my wife is on the people mover for an extended amount of time. So... What about parents of progress?
00:40:41
Speaker
I mean, after they update it, I'll... Yeah. Yeah. I'll have to see. but ah just So my wife, I think she said the last time we were there, i think she got four loops on the people mover during the after hours party. but But apparently, i saw a video on this years ago where somebody like tried to ride the people mover all day. And it was after like 10 laps or something.
00:41:07
Speaker
They actually made the person get off because... What? Yeah. I think it was a they they didn't want it to get to a point where they like forgot that the person was on the ride.
00:41:20
Speaker
like it It seems like a bit of a safety issue, which I know sounds crazy, but... Each ride on the People Movers is 10 minutes long. So if your wife did... you How many times did she do three? Yeah, cause we because we we did back-to-back Tron, and then we got on Space Mountain, and then we did Tomorrowland Speedway. Nice. so yeah, in in that... um And then...
00:41:41
Speaker
And then I think we we got back on Space Mountain again because it was only like a 15 minute wait or something. So, OK, well, it makes sense. So. So, yeah, because of all that shit and we're I was like, you good? And she's like, yeah, I'm on the people mover. I'm like, all right. like yeah These are all like, you know, reasons to go to, you know, i'm I'm just I'm plugging for the after hours parties. We should actually talk about the dates because there there's a lot of dates. yeah Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, so so the way that they've got the dates spread out is... So, I'm not going list them all, but in in Magic Kingdom, they start January 12th, and they run up to July 27th. So, like, basically the first half of the year, you can get...
00:42:22
Speaker
You can get after hours parties. And then Hollywood Studios, again, starts in January, january but runs until September. So that they're going a little bit longer with the Hollywood Studios after hours dates, which...
00:42:36
Speaker
I mean, I've never done a Hollywood Studios after hours party. I don't know. i don't know that I would enjoy it quite as much as I do a Magic Kingdom one. But that's yeah that's just me. i mean that you know but By the way, it does mention for Hollywood Studios, and I don't think I see it for Magic Kingdom, but it does say that DVC members or annual pass holders get $30 off per ticket.
00:43:01
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, I mean, that's that's also part of why if you go to. Yeah. I like yeah I forgot to mention that part, you know, as a DVC member, getting the discount on the ticket makes it you know, it's still it's an expensive ticket, but it's still it's a lot easier to swallow. and And again, you know, we we kind of plan it into our trip that it's like, hey, if we're doing, ah you know, we're doing a late night after hours party.
00:43:24
Speaker
We're not like rushing ourselves during the day at, you know, any of the parks or, yeah or you know, we're taking the, you know, some downtime the next day. So it's, it's worth noting all of these parties started different times too, by the way.
00:43:38
Speaker
Do they? i thought They do, yeah. So like so like ah Magic Kingdom... it does too. I didn't even notice that. Yeah. So Magic Kingdom, you can get in as early as 7. It starts at 10 p.m., but you can get in as early as 7. And Hollywood Studios... You should go at 7. If you're going to go one of these, you at 7 and enjoy the parks before everyone empties out.
00:43:59
Speaker
Because then you also get to do that... like hat and monocle thing where yeah everyone else is leaving. you yourris hand and you and it's like, yes, that this ride is closed for you.
00:44:10
Speaker
Everyone else. The park is belongs to me. yeah get yeah That 10pm thing when whenever when like people are trying to line up and they start scanning the bands, it's always funny when there's a couple of people that like try and like sneak in a last ride and you see them get turned away. and and i mean it's you know That doesn't feel good for them, but It's like, you know, that they're just yeah they're just trying to, like, you know, push it. Right. And but then it's like, no parties now, you know, so sorry.
00:44:38
Speaker
But anyway, so, yeah, yeah, that that one is seven to one, which is normal. But then they say at Hollywood Studios, deviating from typical hours, the May 30th event will run from 1030 to 130. The September event will run from to one.
00:44:56
Speaker
And then the rest will be 9.30 to 12.30. Like, whoa. that Yeah, they're all over the place. yeah Okay, so if you're going to go to the Hollywood Studios one, really pay attention to the dates that you're going because that they are all over the place. And then moving on to Epcot.
00:45:14
Speaker
So Epcot runs, um what is it? It's 9.30 to 12.30 well. to So again, yeah, not quite the same. ah but then But then they also allow for early entry at 7pm. So kind of similar to to Magic Kingdom.
00:45:30
Speaker
Test track will be open for this. so yeahp Yeah, test track will be open. I mean, honestly, ah holly our Epcot is another good one, I feel. like there There's quite a lot yeah quite a lot to experience there.
00:45:41
Speaker
feel like yeah now just hill like you would just go on Guardians like a million times. I would probably try and get every song once on Guardians. That that would be hard, but I would i would definitely try.
00:45:52
Speaker
If you're going to do it anywhere, it's at an after hours of event. That's that is true. Yeah. Yeah, I would do that. um But then the other thing that something different that Epcot has that they don't have er so they do. They have had character meets at Magic Kingdom, but they don't advertise them. So I think it's kind of a like if you get lucky, you may run into characters because we because like we one time we actually met Tweedledee and Tweedledum and after hours of party. yeah So, yeah, like, OK.
00:46:22
Speaker
um But they're they're specifically calling out that you can meet Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie. ah So Mickey at the Dreamer statue, Goofy at the DJ dance party, which, hey, there's Goofy's DJ dance party happening at Communicore Plaza, and then Minnie at the France gazebo. So...
00:46:41
Speaker
Again, little little bit different selection of stuff you can do Epcot, which is kind of, I like that. i like that it's not like Magic Kingdom is definitely all about like the rides and the snacks and everything.
00:46:54
Speaker
I like the fact that Epcot has, you know, different things going on. Right. Yeah. And then. and then And then they also, the other thing you can do at Epcot is you can actually buy stuff after hours. So, or the food, some of the food booths are open.
00:47:13
Speaker
So they actually call out that there's the kiosks around World Showcase are open. Rosencrown and the Kringla Bakery is open, which is in Norway.
00:47:24
Speaker
Okay. Yeah, yeah. I love that bakery. Yeah. Yeah. And then you also do, you do get the complimentary snacks. So, so that's again, kind of, kind of different thing that, uh, you can, you can choose to go, you know, get particular food things, but then you can also just, you know, fill up on ice cream bars and popcorn, which I don't, I mean, I think that's fine, but yeah. I mean, you know, yeah.
00:47:46
Speaker
And, and date wise, um, Epcot is January 22nd through September 24th. So kind of the same window as Hollywood studios.
00:47:57
Speaker
Limited dates. So like during the summertime. Yeah. actually yeah a Yeah. You're right. there There is a lot less dates than there is on, uh, on the Hollywood yeah studios. Like May through July. There's only four dates.
00:48:08
Speaker
Yeah, which that also makes sense, too, because of the fact that that they're always running the festivals. Yeah, I feel like Epcot that they're not as keen to do the after hours parties because they they have they do have regular events going on at Epcot throughout the year.
00:48:24
Speaker
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So yeah, lots lots of, lots of good options for after hours parties though, going to 26. So, you know, for anyone and that's planning trips, like make sure I'll just say, you know, look into them because they're, I really like them.
00:48:41
Speaker
yeah I know it's extra money, but I feel that they're very much worth it. it And like like, to your point, Tom, like, you know, some of our best memories are because of the after hours parties. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
00:48:54
Speaker
Absolutely. yeah Listen, I, a lot of my best Disney memories are, are the, some of the parties we've done, you know, like just not even just the after our party, yeah but you know, like all of the parties.
00:49:05
Speaker
Special events. Cause it, they, they do yeah Disney does a really good job of like making like you're, you're paying for a ticket, but you know, you are getting something out of the ordinary from it. Right. Absolutely.
00:49:18
Speaker
Absolutely. Yeah. Did you want to talk about some merch for a bit? Yeah, I want to talk about some toys. some Some toys for, because I am very, yeah obviously, you know, in my household, ah it's we we we need to start figuring out some of these toys that we're, you know, that we need to tell Santa Claus about.
00:49:41
Speaker
Right. um Yeah. I've already i I was talking to my wife and this will this will bring a lot of people back because I think Trevor that a lot of people that listen to our show are are probably in our general age range. Right.
00:49:55
Speaker
Yeah. And that millennial yeah pushing towards Gen X kind of age range. Yeah, exactly. And i was I said to my wife the other day, I said, you know something we should get for my you know for my daughter this this year?
00:50:10
Speaker
Tamagotchi. Because those are back. Whoa. And i was like, my daughter loves, she has some game on her tablet. She plays where it's similar, you know, would just like take care of like a thing. And I was like, saying and keep yeah, yeah yeah like sometimes she'd be like, she'd be like, daddy, and need you need to go on my tablet really quick. Cause I need to put my whatever to bed. I forget what it's called. I don't remember, but I'm like, let's, let's cut out the tablet, man. And just get her a Tamagotchi. Cause those are a thing again, you know?
00:50:36
Speaker
Yeah. And I mean, the thing about Tamagotchi is that, you know, you feed them, but then you put them away. You're not like, it's not like a phone or whatever, where it's like,
00:50:47
Speaker
you have to constantly be on it. Right. Exactly. Yeah. I remember, I remember when I was a kid, cause this is, you know, the way it was, but my mom to get us Tamagotchis, like literally had to like show up to the store, like, you know, crazy early and wait in line those days when you to have to do that.
00:51:04
Speaker
Yeah. but So weirdly I, I never had a Tamagotchi. um I think, I think I might've just been a like, like, Slightly fueled. Yeah. I think, I think like they were starting to become more popular as I was getting into like junior high. So, yeah. So yeah, it was kind of past that point, but I remember. Which was like a good time for it. I felt like, but yeah. Yeah. I remember that they were, they, they were definitely popular and my cousin had one action. Now that I think about it she was the one that was like,
00:51:36
Speaker
you know, obsessed about her Tamagotchi. And I was like, okay, like, yeah okay, cool. Yeah. I mean, but if it was, you know, at the time, if you didn't have one, like that was a thing, you know, you had to have one and it was, it was, you know, um but yeah yeah this is not what I'm talking about at all. Yeah.

Nostalgic Toys and Childhood Memories

00:51:52
Speaker
just Sorry. just Just inside when I was a kid, it was the, it was the ghostbusters figurines were the big, Oh, i had high this. And yeah, like, like, you know, the ones that came with the little jars of slime were, you know, everyone wanted those. I'll never forget, Trevor. i had so Of course, I had the pack. I had the um ah had the the trap you know that would that you could step on and the doors would open.
00:52:14
Speaker
um I had there the the fire station, right so like that which was so cool at the time. But the toy that I will never forget is I had a tank that was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
00:52:25
Speaker
Do you remember this? And it used to shoot pizzas. Yeah. and it shot was there I thought it was the van. and No, there was a tank it was like a tank, and it shot yeah these hard plastic pizzas. It shot them so hard if you shot your friend with them, which is the first thing you do. ah you know I mean, that's... you know yeah like It would leave like a red mark. like you you I'm surprised eyes were not taken out by this thing. I remember it very distinctly.
00:52:50
Speaker
ah Yeah, no, it was... ah it was i i i gotta find a picture of it because i i remember it very distinctly and it was such a cool toy but yeah oh man i found it so i love the internet i love that could just find stuff like immediately ah yeah it's dude it was so cool i'm gonna send you this trevor because i need to i need i need you to see this but i'm like i said all i can remember was the van Yeah. But let's. its ten
00:53:21
Speaker
I like it. Oh, okay. Actually, wait, I do remember this now. Yeah. Okay. You remember this now, right? Yeah. yeah yeah Yeah. This thing was, you had these hard plastic pizzas and it shot that thing out, man. They were fast. Yeah. Yeah. Dude.
00:53:34
Speaker
I love this thing. This was the coolest thing ever between that and the Ghostbuster stuff. Yeah. Yeah. So, so there was that. And then what I was remembering was there was a van that did the same thing. so yeah something there yeah So, yeah, there was a van, but yeah the yeah, the pizza throwing thing was just crazy. It's amazing how dangerous toys, I mean, I also had, and remember having the creepy crawler set, which was the, you know, it was like the, it was like an easy bake oven for boys You know, you'd make like the bugs and yeah you make bugs and stuff and you get it. But like and it just used a light bulb, but you could like 100 percent, you know, have second degree burns on your hands. Oh, yeah. Yeah. those Those bulbs were hot. They were. Yeah. Yeah. It was crazy.
00:54:13
Speaker
It was crazy. But anyway, so. So let's tie this back to talking about Disney March. Hey, did you want talk about the fact that Disney is doing some retro interactive toys?
00:54:25
Speaker
I guess I like that. But I also I did want to talk about the plushes first here. Okay, because we got a couple plushes going on. First of all, I think we all know one of the big things this this Christmas is going to be stitch related stuff, whatever it is wash is. Yeah.
00:54:40
Speaker
I mean, I talked about this on the show. i When I dropped my daughter off at school in the morning, i see kids stitch backpacks, stitch shirt. like Stitch has gotten... I mean, and we talked about this on the show in 2024. What was it? $3 billion dollars that Disney sold and in Stitch merch?
00:54:56
Speaker
And that was before the movie came out, the new movie, meaning, and yeah and made a billion dollars. So, I mean, that's it's going to be insane. and I'm actually kind of surprised they're only highlighting one Stitch thing on here.
00:55:07
Speaker
Well, it's funny, yeah, because yeah they have the just the Stitch plush. they're also ah Part of that is there's an Angel plush as well, which, you know, it for this is the weird thing, is that Angel was from the the TV series.
00:55:23
Speaker
So yeah yeah a lot of kids don't know who Angel is yet. My daughter does somehow, and I don't know how. But well, yeah, like like I think it's been like kind of like just through the like merchandise advertising, they they kind of know like, oh, like stitch like Angel is like a ah pink stitch. But a lot of people don't realize that, you know, there was a whole TV series behind it as well, which I wonder like, you know, I feel like the Angel, the Angel plush like it.
00:55:53
Speaker
It's kind of that like boys and girls option. Yeah. feel like, yeah you know, it gives, you know, the stitches, like the boys option, the angel plush is the girls option, but I wouldn't be surprised if they work, you know, whatever, you know, i heard they were planning a sequel for stitch. Yeah. They're probably, yeah. were Yeah. And I wouldn't be surprised if they work angel,
00:56:13
Speaker
into it at some point. Right. So pretty popular. Honestly, it's funny because I, to your point, I, one point, I, I don't know, I was looking at something and I saw, i saw Angel and I couldn't remember the name at the moment. So I said, Oh, it's pink stitch. And my daughter goes, yeah she goes, daddy, that's angel.
00:56:29
Speaker
And I'm like, Oh, okay. Uh, she goes, she goes, that's stitches, girlfriend, daddy. And I'm like, okay. Because she loves pro you know this age. i am I am so sorry for yeah i know understanding that Stitch's girlfriend. Yeah, so sorry. you know i should stop doing the Valley Girl.
00:56:45
Speaker
yes i mean That's how she talks to me, though. um By the way, if you click on the Disney Store link that's right under plush here, it brings you to a bunch of die-cast cars.
00:56:56
Speaker
And that they're selling in these die cast cars. are It's not in their top 25 list that they have going on here, but they're die cast cars themed to ah to to rides. Like there's a Jungle Cruise car. There's a Haunted Mansion car. There's a Space Mountain car, which literally just looked like Space Mountain with wheels on it.
00:57:15
Speaker
Oh, yeah. i've There's a monorail car. like Yeah, I've seen I've seen very or we had some die cast Disney cars from back in the day. Like they've always sell sold some like not exactly these ones. But yeah, I know these cars. I just have never seen like attractions like this before.
00:57:33
Speaker
Oh, I have some I have some a ah die cast. I shouldn't say I do. They're my sons, but they're they're down in our basement. um it was They were ride vehicle diecast cars.
00:57:44
Speaker
so So it was like the the various like i don't remember people mover. yeah It was a thing back. like i want to say like yeah like early... like 2013 kind of thing. No recollection of that.
00:57:56
Speaker
Yeah. great um they Yeah. So we do have some of those where like, like we have a, we actually have a, uh, an Indiana Jones diecast. It doesn't have the hat on it like this one does, but, uh, but yeah, so it's like that ride vehicle and and a bunch of other ones from around the park.
00:58:12
Speaker
You want to talk about these retro ones now? though I do. but i so So, okay. these theyve Disney has done a thing with Fisher-Price where they brought back a bunch of classic Fisher-Price toys, but they've obviously Disney-fied them. Disney-fied them, yes.
00:58:28
Speaker
yeah so But this is things like, i don't know if you ever had like the Fisher Price cash register when you were a kid. course. Yeah, of course. Or the record player or the TV.
00:58:38
Speaker
that The TV that didn't actually... like like You just turned the knob and it like yeah like it like it had like a little sheet that moved around inside of it. But... i I remember like the cash register to me was the coolest thing when I was a kid because it was so like mechanical.
00:58:56
Speaker
Like, you know, you put the coins in and you pull the thing and they kind of like drop down underneath and roll out. The cool sound and everything. Yeah. Yeah. It's super satisfying. and And I will admit, even as an adult today, if I if i stumbled upon one of these, I would take a coin and drop it in just to, you How could you do that? Yeah, right? Like it's...
00:59:14
Speaker
it's seems And it's cool that that you know disney Disney acknowledged that you know these things still... like It doesn't always have to be the latest technology thing. it can like There's good toys that were just plastic toys, right? yeah I mean, i do I'm even looking at this Belle Tee cart set, and and it may feel like it's beyond my daughter at seven years old, but she would like love this. It's very fancy. Yeah.
00:59:41
Speaker
It's very much, i seem to remember my sister having something like this when when we were kids. Like, you know, this is, it very much falls into that. ah But yeah, I don't know. i mean, maybe, maybe I'll get something like this.
00:59:55
Speaker
But I mean, even if you don't, like I said, I'm just happy that Disney is... doing this kind of stuff again. Like it, it felt like for a while they were kind of, um, like everything was like, here's a plush, here's, here's a shirt, whatever. Like this is, ah this is some cool, like,
01:00:13
Speaker
disney Disney toys for your kids, right? like yeah like i if Again, and same same kind of thing. you know if If this was around when my son was very young, he would have had this catch register 100%. Oh, absolutely.
01:00:26
Speaker
yeah like I didn't know where... I'm sure that these things existed when my son was little, but the problem was finding them, right? yeah yeah like like they they weren't the They weren't readily available there because there was always... like you know You know, companies like Fisher Price are always trying to like you know invent new stuff and whatever. But this is like a classic. like Yeah, like the the the cash register should always be available, in my opinion.
01:00:53
Speaker
I agree, man. I agree. I agree. Then we go down to collector's items. So they got some collector's items, which includes the Walt Disney World Lego Castle, which... I have Cinderella Castle in Lego form. I don't have this one. This one is a slightly smaller With fireworks coming out of it?
01:01:11
Speaker
Yeah, no, I don't have that one. um This one is slightly smaller, slightly cheaper, because this one is only $400. believe the one i had was $600, which, you know, listen, Lego is an expensive hobby. If you're into Legos, it's not ah for the faint of heart or wallet, I guess.
01:01:29
Speaker
But this is a good alternative, I think, to the $600 version because I think it's it's basically that just a little smaller. so Yeah, probably fits on your shelf better, I guess, where yeah whatever whatever whatever shelf you're putting this on.
01:01:41
Speaker
I don't know if i told you this, but i I built this in my living room, like, you know, on my, i not like my um coffee table, right? Like just, you know, I just sit in the living room every night and do a little bit and then I move it over to like a side table, right?
01:01:53
Speaker
Well, once I finished it, it was so big that I didn't really have ah strategy to put it in its final place, which was, ah you know, across the house in my office. Oh, didn't have like a board or something underneath to... No, and I was like, I can move this. This is not a problem. But listen, it's a castle. It's got these turrets that are pretty up high. you know or It's got that one turret that goes pretty high.
01:02:14
Speaker
And you know i i felt like i it was pretty well constructed. So it was good. i carried it. I got all the way to its final resting place. And as I was putting it down, the turret fell off and smashed into a bajillion pieces. And I was like, okay, well, that didn't work out. But now it gives me a chance to rebuild it.
01:02:30
Speaker
So, you know, which is, I think, the the Lego builders ah you know thing that, you know, you like rebuilding these things. I i don't have a current Lego set, actually. it's i need to I need to get, I haven't seen one that has ah has has caught my attention, but I'm not building another Cinderella castle. That's not going to happen. so Yeah, I mean, you could get a matching one next to your other one.
01:02:52
Speaker
It feels excessive. I mean, i i got that yeah I've got a few too many. like I mean, i've got I'm kind of running out of space for all my Lego projects, to be totally honest. um But anyway, so we got that.
01:03:04
Speaker
But then we also have, i guess there's a a doll, a snow white holiday doll. Okay. Yeah, it looks like a doll with a fancy dress. And I, again, I don't and don't get these because I've never collected dolls. But it looks it looks very fancy.
01:03:20
Speaker
And they're highlighting it as the snow white holiday doll. Yeah. But speaking, there's play sets, Trevor. And speaking of retro, ah the one all the way to the right.
01:03:31
Speaker
The Lincoln Logs. Lincoln Logs. I love Lincoln Logs, man. I used to love those when i was a kid. Here's the thing. It's funny. When I was a kid, I was not a Lego person. I was a Kinex kid. I was all about Kinex. I was all about Lincoln Logs.
01:03:44
Speaker
Right. I loved Lincoln logs. I loved connects. I really didn't do Lego that much. I not looking back on it. It's probably because my mom looked at the price tag and was like, absolutely not. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Connect connects was definitely a lot cheaper. you Like yeah you can get a lot more bang for your buck out of connects. Then. Yeah. I mean, listen, I built the, yeah I built the connects rollercoaster in my room. i had the but ah my brother. howard Yeah. My brother had the rollercoaster built in our basement and, ah The roller coaster was a lot. yeah Yeah. Yeah. He, he, he had, he had that rigged up with, uh, he, he did like some Rube Goldberg stuff with it. oh david like Like he had that. And, uh, he, um, he had like these like marble tubes and all this stuff that he would, he would connect together. Yeah. It was, I mean, you know, my brother, he, he has that like kind of creative mind for like building that kind of stuff. So yeah, it connects was very much up his alley. Yeah. i really
01:04:41
Speaker
I'm actually kind of sad that I can't really buy Kinex anymore because they got bought by another company, but I don't know. They're not as easy to find as they used to be. I guess I've seen them up in Canada. The sets have been available at Toys R Us, which I know you guys don't have Toys R Us anymore, but we still do. You still have Toys Us in Canada?
01:05:03
Speaker
Oh, yeah. yeah it's Yeah, it's been around forever. thought Toys Us was just gone. nope it No, it still lives here. What? we're We're like Narnia. We have Toys R That's crazy. I got kicked out of a Toys R Us one time. um I'll tell that story another time.
01:05:16
Speaker
And we still have GameStop's going back to Electronics Wait, Electronics Boutique? No way! Oh my gosh. Yeah, we got all the cool stuff up here. You should come here. That's been gone forever. i well yeah So, so the yeah, the company that owned... her So, the GameStop, the Canada part of it got sold off and the company that bought it is rebranding it back to Electronics Boutique.
01:05:41
Speaker
so Oh my gosh, that's amazing. I'm sorry. I know this is a total as aside, but I like... I know, I don't care. Because we're talking toys. like like All this stuff kind of like ties into all of that...
01:05:53
Speaker
all of all these Disney toys would be the things I would find at Toys R Us, which yes, you can still very much go to Toys R Us. That's crazy. i had no idea you could still get i thought that the one The one that has been around since I was a kid is still open and I still go there. like or I was going there all the time when my son was younger, but If I need to go shopping for something for like a baby shower or whatever, I will go there because, yeah. yeah i just I just went on the Kinects website and they have a total of nine kits available. That's it.
01:06:25
Speaker
Okay. Yeah. like You know what I mean? like Well, yeah, I guess. I mean, to be fair, although I haven't been into Toys R Us recently, but I remember like they were they were so like even when my son was growing up, they were still in there. So it's yeah, it's just I think they got like bought off by somebody and like they just they they still have some stuff, but it's basically the same stuff they had 30 years ago.
01:06:46
Speaker
So is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, I guess, but, you know, it's like they have the classic amusement park set that has where you can build three different rides with it, which I definitely have when I was a kid.
01:06:59
Speaker
But like, I also had the big ball factory, which was the coolest thing ever, along with the roller coaster. And that's not a thing you can buy anymore. So anyway, yeah ah but we, we totally got off topic there. We were just talking about toys of childhood. totally like you're Okay. but But you can blame that on the Disney, the the Disney Lincoln log set is very cool. And it has, it looks like it has a little train track as well with like a big, well, they have a country bear themed one too, Trevor.
01:07:26
Speaker
Oh, is there too? Where, where's that? Yeah. That's um if you, if you go, go back to the original first link and it's there. Or you can search for it on the, that's the one though, the, the train one, that one is country bear theme. So you actually get, you actually get the country bears as little figures. Oh yeah. Sorry. I saw the Mickey in there. Cause there's like a Mickey Donald and a, yes yeah.
01:07:47
Speaker
Yeah. But yeah. Okay. I see the country bears now. Yeah. Yeah. How great is that? I mean, yeah, like that, that would, if my kid was into toys, like I would definitely be picking something like that up for him because yeah you're you're beyond a lot of this stuff.
01:08:02
Speaker
Yeah. But what don't get me wrong. We, we had, we had all the Lincoln logs. We had, uh, we had the wood train sets, Lego, all that kind of stuff going on in our house too. So I, I get it.
01:08:14
Speaker
This is making me want to like do some building of something. um But lastly, we got classic dolls and talking action figures, which is, you know, classic Disney, right? Yeah. but a Classic. Yeah.
01:08:27
Speaker
Christmas toy stuff that I will say that this tangled set reminds me. Do you remember? um I always saw the commercials for it was Polly pocket.
01:08:39
Speaker
Oh, yeah. My daughter's got a couple of Polly Pockets. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. i know I didn't know if that was still a thing. but Oh, it is. It is. Okay. i Yeah. sure Again, I'm not. I don't keep up on that stuff, obviously. But the ah Tangled set is giving off that or the Tangled figurines look like a Polly Pocket type.
01:08:56
Speaker
Yes, it does. So, yeah. Yeah, this is probably the section that I'm going to be in because my daughter really loves. She loves Barbies mostly, but I mean, she likes any these kinds of dolls. I mean, she has she has all these princess you know dolls are already, like and she uses them frequently.
01:09:12
Speaker
ah So, yeah, I mean, that's that's that's you know probably where we're at. But, you know, there's also like these really cool, like the Stormtrooper talking action figure. That's pretty cool, I guess.
01:09:23
Speaker
Complete with terrible. the tear on the Captain America one, too. I like how. So the Stormtrooper has a couple phrases. They are. These aren't the droids we're looking for. Close the blast doors and all right, men, load your weapons. Those are the three things it says.
01:09:39
Speaker
What else would you want it to say? Man, we suck at aiming. was say Oops. I missed like, wow. We're terrible as soldiers. That's what I can't believe. I missed that.
01:09:51
Speaker
I just want one to admonish the other for being really bad at shooting. That's all. Oh, that that would be, that would actually be the funniest thing is if they built like interactive where they would go back and forth and have like, yeah like quit battles.
01:10:07
Speaker
Yeah, that's, I mean, but yeah, you're right. The captain America one and you know, ah those are always fun. Right. Yeah. I mean, it's, that it's, you know, for, for anyone who has, you know, kids that are in this, these age gaps for, you know, looking for Christmas or the, the, the weird thing is like, you know, I, I said, I always enjoyed looking at the stuff and, you know, when my son was younger, i was always like, you know, going through Toys R Us and you know, you know, checking out all this stuff, you know, Disney and, you know, there, there was a ton of different IP toys and all that, but,
01:10:42
Speaker
the weird thing for me is I'm actually at that place now where like my, my son is when I ask him what he wants for Christmas, it's like clothes, I guess, or like a, you know, a gift card on steam because he has a PC and he plays games on steam or, yeah,
01:10:58
Speaker
Like like he he's becoming very, very adult, which is sad because I can't I can't live vicariously through him and buy toys. Buy the toys for yourself, Trevor. No one's judging. It's all good.
01:11:12
Speaker
Yeah. Except that my wife, we if I did start buying toys for myself, my wife would be like, where are you putting this? Like, yeah, that's the question, right? there There's nowhere to put this in the house. We like, I don't want like toys around the house.
01:11:29
Speaker
and And I mean, neither do I either. Like it's, it's, it's a funny thing where like, yeah, ah but my inner child is very excited by the cash register and I would love to play with it, but I have no need for a cash register in my house and I'm not going to buy a cash register.
01:11:46
Speaker
That's fair. That's fair. But it's a funny idea. And, you know, I guess for anybody wanting the visuals, just, you know, imagine me sitting in my living room, just at the at the coffee table, just, just putting the the coins in and doing cha-ching.
01:12:02
Speaker
I'm just imagining that. Yeah. That's, that's pretty funny actually. Yeah. So, yeah. All right. I'll leave you with that thought. That was, that was quite the toy segment. We just did that. That was, that was, was here it was fun.
01:12:14
Speaker
right. We got one last thing on here. Yeah. And then I think we should wrap up the episode. Cause I know you're, you're struggling here with your cold. I'm good. I'm good. I've, I made it through. I don't think I've coughed in the microphone once. So you, you haven't, but, i but I know that we don't want to drag this out longer than, than we to, but yeah, I appreciate that. I appreciate that. I'm, I'm surviving.
01:12:34
Speaker
but but Okay, let's let's talk about, um so I didn't realize how or i didn't realize that in Shanghai was quite so different but it's or okay So they announced in Shanghai Disney that Soarin' Over the Horizon is getting an expansion. So they're adding more more theaters to it and they're changing the finale to it.
01:12:59
Speaker
So the thing is, is that when Soarin' Over the Horizon was built, or it like Shanghai Disney wasn't complete yet. So the finale actually had it flying over ah Shanghai. So i ah like over the the buildings and the city and everything.
01:13:17
Speaker
And I think it sounds like they're changing it, that it like the other Sorens, know, Soren over California and Soren over the world, um that it's going to fly over Shanghai now for the finale.
01:13:31
Speaker
But so I watched the video. So that this link you sent me, Tom, I watched the video yeah and the ride itself is like, it's soaring that like there, there's nothing really the same ride. Yeah. Yeah. The only thing that changes is the last scene, but the thing that actually struck me about it and I didn't realize this was the queue for this ride is like, it's like Indiana Jones.
01:13:54
Speaker
Like the queue looks like it should be an Indiana Jones and like the pre-show and everything is very like, like it mystical... like there It's crazy. like like It's such a bizarro... It's such a bizarro world thing where it's like, oh yeah, I know this ride, but everything else leading up to it is completely different.
01:14:17
Speaker
like It's not... Can we talk about, though, too, that the pre-show still has the joke about taking the ears off, right? yeah Yeah. You know, where he he you know you we're used to Patrick Warburton saying these little beauties, but they they still have that exact same scene, but it's a little different because the guy is wearing, like...
01:14:36
Speaker
ah Like some really cool, a really cool Mickey hat, by the way. I don't, I kind of want that. That thing is cool. But also like he makes like kind of a different face. ah he He does like a, you know, like kind of like, oops, like kind of thing instead of the one guy that looks up, you know, so sadly. Yeah. Well, well, I think that, I think it's how it's conveyed is, you know, the guy.
01:14:59
Speaker
Um, the guy in Soren or like the Patrick Warburton version. Yeah. You know, yeah he, he is supposed to be like kind of going like, oops, sorry. Kind of thing. But it, it, it comes across very like, he always like it's funny.
01:15:13
Speaker
It's the look up at the end where he's kind of looking up and I'm like, how dare you take away my Mickey ears? Like, you know? Yeah. Um, but very subtly, but yes. But yeah, yeah, you're right. The, uh, the Mickey hat that the guy is wearing it.
01:15:25
Speaker
It's an awesome Mickey hat. It's a toque. so Yeah. I mean, um you know there's a bunch of different names for it, but yeah. Yeah. I would call it a toque. It looks like a toque, but it's got Mickey ears on it, which is hilarious.
01:15:38
Speaker
It's like a woven kind of... like yeah like It's a cool hat, man. I want to know where I can get one of those. Absolutely. But the the other thing, too, is that you know the the pre-show is not done by Patrick Warburton. no It's that this character they have. i think her name is...
01:15:55
Speaker
Grandma Thunder or something like that, if I if i saw it correctly. Oh, really? Grandma Thunder? No, no Grandma Thunderbird is the name. Okay. Yeah. And and again, it's this whole like is this whole thing talking about like like it's very like mystical.
01:16:12
Speaker
It is. It's not like, it's so weird looking at like, again, just how the same ride was interpreted as something different.
01:16:23
Speaker
I very much enjoy that. And, and not to say that I, you know, want them to change anything about Soarin' that we have here, but, i The one thing that I am very envious of, like I said, is the queue itself just looks awesome.
01:16:40
Speaker
Like it's it's. Yeah. The theme is just so different because, yeah you know, obviously Epcot, it's themed to just like flight, right? Like it's the idea of flight and, you know, the flight attendant thing here. Like you said, like this, this woman turns, she I don't know if you watch the whole thing, but she actually flies in as a bird and then turns. Cause she's a thunderbird. yeah Yeah. And then turns into the person and they're front in the celestial observatory.
01:17:05
Speaker
And like, that's their whole thing is they're like exploring the world that way. So, yeah, I mean, it's, it's kind of like you said, it's neat. that Cause like, listen, the story for Soren at Epcot kind of thin,
01:17:16
Speaker
And I think they realized that and then redid it, you know? Yeah. Yeah. I feel like if if they had tried to, yeah you know, again, different cultures and all that, if they tried to do it like, hey, you're getting on a plane, you know, flying around the world, i don't think it gets conveyed as well in different, like,
01:17:35
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I mean honestly, like you said, you know, you know, even for us, it's like, okay, like I'm getting on a ride there. There's nothing like interesting about this. And, and the only thing that honestly does make it entertaining is Patrick Warburton's delivery of the pre-show stuff is very good. Like he, he kind of carries it, I think.
01:17:54
Speaker
um Because yeah, like you said, you know, there's nothing else going on in the queue. There's nothing else. interesting to it but then like said i'm looking at this queue in shanghai and they're like it looks like a mix between like like ever like they've got like artifacts in there like you would find in like everest like yeah and that and but then it's like stone walls like indiana jones which i know you've not been in the indiana jones queue but it's like I've seen the QN video. Yeah, I've watched it. like like it's it's It's just so like like, hey, this is incredibly well-themed.
01:18:30
Speaker
What happened to our story? but i Yeah, I mean, it it's a fair point, Trevor. It is a fair point. I mean, I was just wondering if it is because I mean, obviously, the whole concept is is like hang gliding, right? But yeah, they they almost take it in. And and maybe that's not really a thing outside of the, you know, North America.
01:18:51
Speaker
i don't know. Yeah. Maybe that's why they had to change it, because like the whole idea here is about hang gliding. And and i mean maybe the the mysticism celestial thing was easier for people to.
01:19:02
Speaker
to embrace that versus like you're getting in a hang glider, which like I, I get, you know, some people could be like, Oh, that, that seems scary or, you know, I don't want to get in a hang glider. Yeah.
01:19:12
Speaker
But you know, Oh, but I'm going to go on a mystical tour with a Thunderbird. Yeah. Cool. like Sounds pretty cool. Yeah, let's go with that Thunderbird. Yeah, she's looking cool. ah i mean I mean, to be fair, given my choice as well, you know if if you're telling me I you know take the Hang Glider or take the mis mystical Thunderbird ride, I'm like, I want the Thunderbird. Yeah, it sounds pretty cool.
01:19:33
Speaker
Yeah, I'm down for that. It's funny because I've watched a lot of videos of of of rides at like Shanghai, right? Yeah. And i you know I just never thought to watch the Soren one because I'm like, it's Soren.
01:19:46
Speaker
you know yeah like Yeah, that's exactly it. You initially go like, oh, it's Soren. Whatever. It's just their version of Soren. Well, hold on. Yeah, hold on. It's not. They did a whole lot more there. i mean yeah And I mean, I watched Pirates because like I knew that their Pirates is like crazy technologically advanced compared to the you know to our Pirates. and so And that one was getting a lot of the buzz. So you know you watch that. But then it's like...
01:20:10
Speaker
Why would I watch the Soren one? Right? why I mean, i listen, you can, we can, someone could come at us be like, how you guys not know it was different? Because why would I know what it was different? it which you like it should I mean, this is the thing.
01:20:21
Speaker
The pre-show is different. That's it. Yeah. That's, that's the thing. I've probably, think I've watched it from the angle of like, oh, you know, you know, watch the ride. the The ride itself is the same, like like the scenes are the same and all that. And it's like, okay, I don't need to see that again. But like said, the part that got me was just this particular video you sent was like, oh, they're walking through the queue and everything. And I was like, oh, wow, this is like,
01:20:43
Speaker
i I would be excited to, and not to say, like, I enjoy lining up for Soarin'. Like, you know, we we do ride Soarin' all the time, but the queue is not the reason I'm there.

Shanghai Disneyland's Soarin' Ride

01:20:54
Speaker
No. No, absolutely not. No. Like, this queue is like, I would be excited just to walk through here. It's it's a very cool. And I mean, listen, the ride experience is the same, right? Like, it's not it's not that different. over it but the The buildup to it is different.
01:21:09
Speaker
So anyway, and anyway sorry, just just had to call that out because, you know, even though, yes, the the big thing is they're going to get us a different finale scene, which, you know, like we've seen that they do change up or they have changed up to see the finale in um North America and all that. um yeah That's fine. But like I said, I was just more taken aback by the fact that it's like, oh, everything else leading up to the ride is different.
01:21:34
Speaker
