Halloween Traditions and Adult Treats

00:00:39
Speaker
I'm Tom here Trevor. How's going Trevor?
00:00:41
Speaker
hey pretty good today. how, how's your weekend going so far? Well, you know, you'll we had Halloween, you know, so that was ah that was a yeah actually. Oh, yeah. how Yeah. Halloween was Friday night, I guess. Did you know and anything out of the usual happen for you this year or no? I mean, not really. I mean, my daughter has more stamina than she used to. Right. Like, so it used to be like we'd get like a couple, you know, we'd probably fill her little bucket and then we would. Yeah.
00:01:09
Speaker
we would we would turn in but that this year she wanted to keep going um but we also wanted she also wanted to hand out candy so i mean i do i have never seen the amount of kids in our neighborhood that we've got i mean it was hundreds of kids that we got this year really um it was crazy uh and listen my i think i've talked about this in the show before my neighborhood is um it's kind of crazy right as far as halloween goes and what i mean by that is there are people come in from all over the place to my neighbor don't ask me why i really don't know But people will drive here. I mean, when you come to my neighborhood on Halloween, the main street in the neighborhood is literally lined with cars parked on the on the side of the road because people come here to go trick or treating. But also, like, listen, you know, this is this is a family friendly podcast, but a lot of the places you go have a kid table and an adult table. ah And a lot of and the adult table tends to have, ah you know, alcoholic beverages. And really, there was more of that that this year than I ever saw.
00:02:09
Speaker
um Yeah. I mean, it was crazy. That is interesting. I've never heard of that. But I mean, to be um to be fair, I mean, I haven't had to go trick or treating in about.
00:02:21
Speaker
six years, I want to say. So, like, we're we're pretty far removed from doing trick-or-treating. Yeah. That's... an i'm not I've not ever heard of alcohol being offered. Honestly... Well, here's the thing, Trevor.
00:02:34
Speaker
I didn't have... i never... had this happen until we moved to this neighborhood right like this is not a thing like i grew up in a like kind of an older neighborhood so most of the houses we went to were older people right like my neighborhood is filled with a lot of younger people and you know with kids and stuff like that and and um you know i mean you know there's older people here too obviously but that's not a reason to offer alcohol though Dude, it's it's always been this way here, but this year I saw more of it than I've ever seen. like it was i mean yeah i will say that that sounds very specific to where you are because like you know when I was growing up, like the neighborhoods that I lived in, which you know we're we're not it was they weren't old neighborhoods.

Costume Trends and Greetings

00:03:18
Speaker
Yeah. either and like like the neighborhood we live in it's it's about twenty five years old this neighborhood so it's not like it's not like a super old neighborhood same kind of thing you know lots lots of families and stuff i never heard of anybody offerre alcohol and and i just i feel like i feel like it's ah it's a recipe for disaster No, I mean, intriguing but it's not, though, because I mean, it's it's just like, you know, it's like one or two how or, you know, like we went by ah maybe three houses. Right. So like, you know, some of ah the couple had jello shots and then one of them had um this. This was the one they had. ah They warm apple cider in ah in a thing, they and you know, and then they were putting fireball into a fireball and warm apple cider. Yeah.
00:04:04
Speaker
do i that was the one. i So I usually, you know, we talked about this before. I don't really drink, right? And I turned down the jello shots because it's not a really jello shot fan. But we got to that house and he was like, would you like a fireball and warm apple cider? And I'm like, yes, I would. That sounds fantastic right now. It's a little chilly out. We're walking around. i feel like I could use that. So i sure enough, I had one. It was delicious. It was great. I mean, it's, I mean, there's also Trevor, there was another house that was giving out, um this guy gives out candy, but he also gives out, um,
00:04:33
Speaker
like ah Magic the Gathering cards and like the Lorkana cards. And he has like cards from like anime and stuff like that. And so like he has choices. You can get candy or you can get cards. The kids go nuts for the cards, man. I mean, of course. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, especially, you know, anything Pokemon or yeah, magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm sure.
00:04:55
Speaker
Oh, yeah. has some of that, too. and Yeah. Yeah. Pokemon cards. all we sit in We said anime cards. I was like, what? Yeah. It was probably Yu-Gi-Oh cards that he was. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I also saw some, though, of I don't really know anime. Right. But I also saw some from that one that they made into a show that Netflix made into a show that everybody that's a popular, guess.
00:05:13
Speaker
I don't know. They had some cards or something around that show. Yeah, i don't I don't know anything. I just know that there was a show on Netflix from an anime that was like a live action version. Oh, One Piece? Yeah. There was some like cards and stuff that he was handing out. Oh, yeah, one One Piece stuff. Okay. Oh, yeah oh you don't you don't know One Piece. Wow. I forget. Dude, I don't know any anime. Okay. Sorry. One Piece is a very big feature in our house. It's actually my son's favorite anime. See, I'm just but i'm clueless on these things. One Piece is a thing. It's it like, yeah. Yeah.
00:05:45
Speaker
Oh, no, we saw a lot of kids dressed up. like and i Like I said, I don't know anything about it, but I've seen some of the characters before, and I saw a lot of people dressed up like that. It's about pirates, and then it gets crazy. Okay, all right. But the core of it is pirates, so, you know, that's all you need to know is One Piece pirates. I do have a lot of interesting Halloween observations this year, though, about the

Evolving Halloween Traditions

00:06:06
Speaker
kids trick-or-treating. Number one, I notice kids don't say trick-or-treating anymore. They say, Happy Halloween.
00:06:11
Speaker
Which, I don't know when that happened, but I just noticed that all the kids say Happy Halloween. Like, nobody says trick or treat. mean, that that could just be an evolution thing over time. maybe that you like like Because things change. Like, you know, from stuff that we did as kids, yeah it it does you know it does change over time. and maybe I have no problem with it. I'm not being like, old man yells at Cloud here. Like, I thought it was an interesting thing, you know? Yeah. But I feel like, you know, saying trick or treat also offers itself up to, you know, you're saying to the person, i i want either a trick or a treat, which could lead to, you know, trick, which tricking trick can be a very like positive or negative thing. So maybe, I don't know, that maybe people just yeah change their thinking around it over time.
00:06:54
Speaker
what What would you guess the number one costume we saw, Trevor? Oh, I know what it is. You know what is, right? It's K-pop bob Demon Hunters. Yeah, K-pop Demon Hunters. I knew that. I knew it was going to be K-pop Demon Hunters everywhere. i was but yeah So, sorry, just just an aside. My brother actually sent me a picture of his Halloween pumpkins because his daughters are very much into K-pop Demon Hunters. And it was, yeah, yeah two pumpkins. The bottom one was Derpy and the top one was the ah ah Magpie.
00:07:22
Speaker
So, yeah, he had he had the derpy cat with the magpie sitting on top as a Halloween pumpkin. Nice. Nice. Yeah. I mean, i saw a lot of that. But interestingly, Trevor, I saw a lot of kids. First of all, I saw a lot of kids that were trick or treating later than I remember trick or treating myself. You know what mean? lot of kids that, you know, maybe could drive already. Yeah. Like, we're already over the trick-or-treat. Oh, older. Sorry, we said later. I was like, were they out later? no, like, older kids were trick-or-treat. Yeah, I mean, like, I think I maybe stopped when I was like... See, I don't remember, but I was maybe, I don't know, 14?
00:07:54
Speaker
Yeah, like like like like, end of junior high going into high school, like, grade 9, grade 10 kind of time frame. And even I felt awkward about it. You know what mean? Like, I felt weird about it. um But yeah, so then the other thing, a lot of these kids...
00:08:08
Speaker
were wearing costumes that were for things from, like, the early 2000s and 90s. And I was like, what's going on here? Like, have we hit ninety s early 2000s nostalgia for teenagers? Like, is that what's... Oh, are you... Tom, Tom, you're... What's going on here? You're you're getting old.
00:08:27
Speaker
yeah it's It's happening. ah But, to do with dude, there was this theres a kid with a Napoleon Dynamite costume on. I'm like, dude, that movie is, like... That was so long ago. like Yeah. and but But it's the same way that like 80s nostalgia has been a thing for a while is 90s nostalgia is is hitting now. And a lot of the stuff that this. Sorry, Tom, you're you're getting older.
00:08:51
Speaker
No, I know this. I know this. I'm just bracing you for this because I'm in the middle of this too. i'm Because i'm I'm a little bit ahead of you in that sense. Yeah, you are. Yeah. intense But um yeah, it's it's funny when like things that you were like, this thing was really cool when I was younger, but you don't like, you disassociate the fact that that was like 25 years ago. And when you see somebody dress as it like...
00:09:15
Speaker
has a Halloween costume, which, yeah again, they they probably have never seen it. They don't understand the context. It was just like, oh, this is like a cool 90s costume. late Like, they yeah they don't even understand what it is, right? Even though Napoleon Dynamite, I think, was like, what, like early two thousand s probably? Yeah, it was like late like late ninety s early two thousand Yeah. It was like But I was just surprised like because i was i'm just surprised by that. I just didn't... Oh, 2004. I was wrong. That wasn't the only one. There was one girl that was wearing ah a a costume that was from like a Western. my And my dad was with me, and he recognized it. I was like, wait, there's a kid wearing an an outfit from a movie that you know? like That's a really old. like Which... and Yeah.
00:09:56
Speaker
that That does speak to the quality of the costumes

Disneyland Updates and Offerings

00:09:59
Speaker
nowadays, too, is yeah that i agree you can get a lot more specific... like Like costumes and like cosplay, you know actually kind of talking to the, you know, you were talking about the whole anime thing. Like cosplay has become like a whole industry in and of itself. yeah And it does overlap obviously with Halloween costumes. So, yeah, you do get, you're right that, you know, you're starting to get more and more of these like costumes that like, you know, when you were a kid, it was like, you're not getting like anything that looks like
00:10:28
Speaker
You know, besides like ah a weird plastic mask, you're not getting anything related to a you know a character from a show. But now they do like, you know, an entire like, yeah, like you said, like ah a Napoleon Dynamite or like, a you know, very specific characters from a show is yeah they're able to manufacture them a lot easier now.
00:10:46
Speaker
It's yeah. Yeah. and and And the funny thing was that we asked the Napoleon Dynamite kid, we were like, hey, like. why are you wearing of that? Like, you know, you know, i like the vote for Pedro shirt and everything. Yeah. He had the vote for Pedro shirt and he had the glasses. He didn't really do the hair though. I mean, it was kind of a lazy costume. If going to honest, there're just glasses, a t-shirt and jeans. I mean, it wasn't like, it's not a hard costume. Like it's not, it's not, but we asked the kid and he was like, Oh, my mom,
00:11:10
Speaker
And I was like, g let me guess your mom's a millennial, right? Like, cause it's just like, you know what I mean? Like, but I, the, it there's a lot of things like this though, Trevor too, because I remember too, we, I, um you know, I, I, we, our babysitters, for example, are, you know, I think they're like juniors in college now, right? Like they,
00:11:29
Speaker
when we had their twins, that's what I'm saying. They, in case you're wondering, the twins that babysit for my kids, right. For my daughter. And I remember they were over here one time and she had a stitch backpack, right. It was a, you know, stitch backpack. And I said, Oh, like, do you really, you know, it's like, is, is a like, sit your favorite. and she's like, she's like, Oh no. She's like, I've actually never even seen the movies. I just liked the character. And I'm just like,
00:11:49
Speaker
How does that ah like, how does that happen? You know, like it's an interesting thing to me of like you like a character so much that you buy the backpack, but you don't watch the movie that it came from. You know, like that is not how my brain works. like But you know I have the 90s equivalent example for you because I actually I saw this the other day and I didn't think about it in this context, but it totally makes sense. i I don't know if this was a thing for you, but where I grew up, I People had the... ah What is the name of the the team? the It was a basketball team and their mascot was ah Hornets. Oh, that's Charlotte. That's the Charlotte Hornets. Yeah, that's here. and where i was it was Yeah, but it was like that... That like that jacket. yeah that That teal blue jacket, right? And the thing was is that...
00:12:36
Speaker
People had that jacket that if you asked them, i was like, oh, do you like the Hornets? And they were like, who? No, I don't watch basketball. It's just, it was just a cool jacket. Like they didn't, they didn't care about like what it represented or anything. It was just an aesthetic. And that's, yeah that's what you're seeing is it's the same kind of thing where, you know, people don't identify or care about like the character.
00:12:59
Speaker
It's just a cool aesthetic. Yeah, that's true. And, and you know, so so and and to say, like, it's weird that people are doing that. It's been happening since we were kids. So, yeah, that's true. Yeah. Yeah. i I saw a lot of astronauts this year, which I thought was interesting. um But the one the thing that got me the most, Trevor, and i this might be a unique experience to me, maybe. And I don't know this. But when I was a kid, when we, you know, when trick or treating, we used our pillowcases for things.
00:13:26
Speaker
our candy. Like that's what we use. Because bags were hard to come by and pillowcases are easy. Yeah. Nobody uses pillowcases anymore. Not a thing. because everyone has like custom bags that they buy. Like you buy like a Halloween bag.
00:13:40
Speaker
That's like let's like like they had these they had the reusable shopping bags. they My daughter had a plastic pumpkin that like lit up. I saw some kids walking around with backpacks and i'm like, why did I never think about that when I was a kid? Oh, that's that. That is smart. We we actually saw that when my son was younger. We we saw that actually. there was That was a thing like 10 years ago. and there was ah That worked out great for us because there was ah a kid that showed up like towards the end of the night. and yeah We were like, you got to get rid of this candy. and he had like He had the smaller bag and he had the backpack. and We were like...
00:14:11
Speaker
oh, you know, backpack, you know, is that full candy? He's like, yeah. And we're like, okay, turn around. And we just dumped the bowl into his backpack. And he was like, sweet. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy.
00:14:23
Speaker
ah Yeah. So I don't know. That was, that was my, that was my Halloween. We had a, we had a good time. We, we hung out. We watched a nightmare before Christmas. I found out that my daughter likes nightmare before Christmas. ah We, we were with a bunch of friends, right? Like, so we did,
00:14:34
Speaker
ah with some of my daughter's friends like we're friendly obviously with her parents and so we kind of did like a little party kind of thing and we all went trick-or-treating together there was literally five kids and there was maybe 20 adults like it was it was ridiculous like we had a horde of people walking around but it was you know um but not 20 maybe it's 15 because we also had some friends there too that weren't that didn't have kids so um but yeah no we had a good time halloween's always you know always a good time and uh we had a lot of fun and um Yeah.
00:15:00
Speaker
Yeah. it It was fun. So ours was, our Halloween was a little bit different this year. So we didn't, so obviously like we're past the whole like trick or treating thing. like Like my son's almost an adult. So yeah, we're, you know, there's not even like the conversation of like,
00:15:14
Speaker
are you going out or whatever? But this year we, um or this is something that we've done probably for the last five years. We kind of made it our own little tradition is we, we have, we have like a mini Halloween party. So it's like, like we don't like invite other people over. It's just us as a family.
00:15:32
Speaker
And we actually use that night as, um and you, you know, anybody listening to this, you you can disagree with this, but we don't hand out candy anymore. And, and the reasoning for it is that the street that we live on,
00:15:45
Speaker
It's very quiet. Like a lot of the kids that used to live here have all grown up or they're all like my son's age or older. So it's not, it like we, we tried handing out candy and it was like, you know, I'm not going to buy, you know, boxes of Halloween candy that I'm going to give out like a quarter of it and then be stuck with the rest of it for, for months afterwards.
00:16:06
Speaker
Cause I'm like, I don't want to eat all of it. I try not to have a whole bunch of candy that I'm going to eat because that's a bad idea. um But funny enough this year that, so we had our, our little Halloween party.
00:16:17
Speaker
We always find a scary game to play as a family. So this year it it was, ah we went for a game called alone in the dark. um You know, you know, the name, the name lends itself to scary. um It's, it's a series that, you know, anyone that's played it kind knows it's, it's like resident evil, but not quite as, or it's not as well made as resident evil, but it's still, it's still fun. um This one in particular, my wife wanted to play it because, ah the main character in it is played by David Harbor, which, um, if you, if you know, stranger things, he plays Hopper on, on stranger things. So he's the main, main character in this game, which, uh, you know, it was a lot of fun. We, ah we sat down and we, we got, uh, uh, I mean, think we, we finished off. We were on like the fourth chapter of the game, which, you know, was, we, we played for probably about, you know, four or five hours last night. And, uh,
00:17:07
Speaker
Yeah. um Yeah. so So that was our Halloween, which was which was a lot quieter. And but it like i said, it was still fun. It was it was a good it like said I said, I think the thing about Halloween is, you know, like any other holiday, is it's just good to have traditions or good to have things that you you do with people that you want to hang out with, whether it's friends or family or whatever. Like that's. Yeah. You know, you know that's, it's all good. all And actually, oh, the the last thing was we we did have Halloween candy on hand, but but my my wife, made she she made some choices this year.
00:17:41
Speaker
um We had a good laugh about this because she went to the dollar store and she just bought a bunch of of candy bars from the dollar store, but she didn't go for, or like there there was like the normal ones. Like we had some Kit Kats and some like a coffee crisp and, and like some of the normal ones that you can get.
00:18:01
Speaker
But then she found like some of the like off brand ones that are not, When you said Kit Kat, I was just imagining my head that was like Kit Kat spelled with like a C. was like, what are you talking about? We have Kit Kats. Kit Kats. Yeah, the Kit Kats were legit, but there were some other ones. I can't there was one called like a Titan, which it was like, it was like Snickers, but it had like peanuts in it and stuff. But then there was this other one that we tried and we all agreed it was like awful. had like this weird like marshmallow
00:18:36
Speaker
filling in it. And that that was actually the the fun. Maybe that was more the trick or treat part of it was that, you know, you know we had a good laugh about it because it was like, you know, my wife bought these things. She's like, I just thought we'd try something different. But it was like trying these different candy bars was either like that was the trick or treat part of it was like you might get a good one or you might get something that's like, oh, no, like this is You know, why why would you make this kind of thing? So so we we had fun with that last night as we were you know we were playing video games and and trying off-brand candy that I would never try on a regular day. Oh my gosh, that's pretty funny. Yeah. So something to think about for Halloween is you don't have to necessarily, you know, you know, do the normal thing with everybody else because Halloween is Halloween's weird anyway. Right. Exactly. Exactly.
00:19:26
Speaker
So it sounds like you guys had a fun Halloween, too. Just like we did. yeah I mean, different, yeah different Halloween, but different. I mean, but it was different in a good way. Right. Like, yeah, I, I, I firmly believe that, you know, everybody like, you know, you can talk about like.
00:19:40
Speaker
you know, like I said, you know, you know, regular or, you know, there are, you know, trigger treating with your kids and everything is great. But, you know, as time goes on, you can change it up. You can do different things. And, you know, you know, I know like with our family, you know, we we also know that we're going to hit a point where, you know, our son's going to be off with his friends doing stuff. It's just, you know, right now it it hasn't quite hit that point. Like I know he's He is in high school, but, like, nobody none of his friends are doing, like, parties or anything yet. So, yeah you know, we'll we'll see how how that goes. You know, as time goes on, that'll change too. But, you know, this is what we do right now for Halloween is just, you know, we we we find it as a good time to have ah a good scary game session. Yeah.
00:20:25
Speaker
eat weird candy that people shouldn't buy. Yeah. yeah it's I know what candy you're talking about because I, I've bought my candy before. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like it's, it's like, like the the chocolate is like off. Yeah. It's just like, yeah, like nothing about it is right. Like it's, it's just, yeah, it it was like, so we all tried and we were just like, Oh yeah, no. Like, what is this? Yeah. Yeah, I've I i bought um i see you probably i i don't think ever anybody's even familiar with this outside of like the Northeast. But growing up, I used to drink Yoohoo a lot. you know Yoohoo? Oh, yeah. I know Yoohoo. Yeah. OK. We do Yoohoo.
00:21:02
Speaker
yeah Which Yoohoo is not it's by the way, they have to call it a chocolate drink because it's not chocolate. it's right It's chocolate drink. It's chocolate drink. But I found I was at the store one time and I saw a Yoohoo candy bar.
00:21:14
Speaker
And I was like, this is awesome. I have to try this, right? and then when I got home, I looked at the back, and I'm looking at the chocolate company, and I was like, oh, no. I know this chocolate company. They make terrible chocolate. Like, this is... It's going to taste, like, half like plastic.
00:21:27
Speaker
And sure enough, I tasted it was like, oh, God, this is awful. Like, I couldn't even eat it. I was so bummed, because I was like, ah, I love Yoohoo. And I mean, it kind of tastes like Yoohoo, but it's just like, the consistency of oh, it's just terrible. I hate it. Yeah. yeah but Yeah, definitely. Yeah. that Like you said, there's, there's like...
00:21:42
Speaker
good chocolate, especially like at Halloween candy, it's like there. I mean, it's the same thing like when you were a kid, like, you know, you pick through and you eat all the good candy bars and then there's all like the bad ones that are left that either get thrown out or. Yeah. Yeah.
00:21:58
Speaker
but you're You're desperate for for candy, so you you try them anyway. But yeah so so that yeah, that was kind of what we had for, but like, it was definitely in that realm. Like, it was the the questionable, I guess this is candy. This kind of candy, I guess. don't know.
00:22:17
Speaker
I don't really want to eat it. Speaking of candy, and not really. Yeah. So, ah I don't know. we we We actually haven't talked about this, but, you know, one of those fixtures of, like, Tomorrowland for a long time at Disney World has been the cool ship, right? Yeah. it just it It was very cool, but it got torn down, and we never even talked about the fact that it got torn down. It's gone.
00:22:38
Speaker
Cool ship's just gone. It's bummer. So so cool ship was um the Cool Ship was over by um Speedway, right? Yeah, yeah. it had the had been like um It had that big red ship on top of it. And I i don't think I've ever even actually bought anything there.
00:22:55
Speaker
Like, I don't think you I've ever stopped at the Cool Ship. never Yeah, i think that's the problem is that, like, it it was it's it was one of these things, like you said, there's ah there's a lot of places that, like, you you see it there, but it's like, oh, yeah, there's a place, but you never, like, I'm never like, oh, I need to stop at every snack yeah kiosk, right? But, so, yeah, Cool Ship, unfortunately, went away, but there is a new snack kiosk in there now.
00:23:21
Speaker
Yeah, they tore it down. They built a new thing. It doesn't have the Cool Ship on it anymore. Get it? but it's now It's not quite as cool. but It has pretty much the same stuff, though. I mean, it used to have drinks and churros, and now we have ah this place is called Astrofizz, and it also has drinks and churros. I wonder, because I thought Cool Ship had like a Coca-Cola sponsorship. Yeah, yeah. I think it did, yeah. So that's that's probably why it went away, was that they wanted to like get rid of...
00:23:49
Speaker
anything related to the sponsorship like that. yeah i dont I don't know what the agreement was around it, that they may have had something with the ship and whatever, that was like a ah Coke logo thing. I don't see any Coke sponsorship on know that looking at it, but well on, on the old one. Yeah.
00:24:04
Speaker
I mean, but again, and then there an opportunity I have to say Astrophys kind of looks out of place in Tomorrowland.
00:24:15
Speaker
I mean, listen, the cool ship kind of looked out of place, too. but yeah but but But it's out of place in that it looks more updated than the rest of Tomorrowland. See, that's why they I think that's why they tore the cool ship down, because the cool ship was like the 90s version of Tomorrowland. You know what i mean? Like it. Yeah. and And to me, like that was like, OK, well, we need to we need to update that. And now it's like to you're right. The new one is like updated. Yeah, no, it's too modern. Yeah, I mean, but whatever. It's fine. it's It's a snack stand. But they do have a new menu. They've got some Fanta frozen slushies and Coca-Cola frozen slushies. But they also have a cherry cola churro.
00:24:55
Speaker
So, which, listen, i'm I really like Cherry Coke. I like Cherry Coke. But Churro rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with Coca-Cola cherry icing, and topped with cherry popping candies.
00:25:09
Speaker
I would eat that. That sounds pretty good. lot of cherry. Yeah. Yeah? But but I guess it's not real cherries, is the

Unique Disney Experiences

00:25:15
Speaker
thing. It's it's that that, like, cherry flavor. That artificial cherry. like Yeah, like you said, like cherry syrup kind of stuff. Yeah, I like that, though. It tastes like cough syrup. I love that taste. Yeah.
00:25:25
Speaker
I wasn't the i was never the kid that was like, oh, cough syrup. I'm like, yeah, give me cough syrup. This is stuff tastes good. um I always went for the orange flavored cough syrup, not the cherry. Yeah. See, i like that i like I like grape. I prefer the grape. I'll deal with the cherry. Yeah, the grape is okay. Yeah, I like the grape.
00:25:41
Speaker
um But yeah, really, that's it. I just wanted to mention it because I was like, I forgot. We just never talked about the fact that Cool Ship just went away. and But now we have a new place called Astrophys and, you know. Maybe that's also a sign of, like I said, you know, the fact that it's being updated, you know, we've we've talked about for a long time that Tomorrowland is in need of some updating.
00:26:00
Speaker
ah Maybe that's a sign of things to come because there is also they're redoing Buzz Lightyear and all that. You know, maybe you're going to see some some aesthetic changes around Tomorrowland that follow with this.
00:26:12
Speaker
Well, we also know all know about the Tomorrowland problem, right? so Yes, exactly. Never a problem that's going to be fixed. But the but yeah, no, it's it's good. It does need renovance from time to time. And like I said, maybe maybe this is leading into, we're going to like you said, if it gets out of like ninety s era Tomorrowland, I don't think that's a bad thing.
00:26:32
Speaker
No, I agree. i agree. Now, here's another interesting thing about the cool ship and or the former cool ship about Astrofizz. This is also where you're going to be able to get this really cool ah ah Mickey's ah Very Merry Christmas Party popcorn bucket, which we actually just talked about on the food time episode that we we just recorded, which will be hopefully breaking the fourth wall.
00:26:52
Speaker
Yeah. What do you mean I'll break it before? Because nobody knows that we are talked about this before this episode. Yeah, we talked about it already. But listen, we talked about it already, but we know not everybody listens to Food Time, so let's talk about it here too. But listen, if you if you love Food Time, we're going to have a new episode with all the holiday menus coming hopefully this week. So hopefully on Thursday this week we'll we will get that out depending on, ah you know.
00:27:14
Speaker
On schedules and all that. Yeah. Yeah. But I'm i'm hopeful to get it out by now by that. And, you know, we got lots of fun stuff in the holiday episode. As you know, we got the song going on. We got the and we got some other things. You'll you'll see. But anyway, um so this popcorn bucket is awesome. It's and this is just for the ah the Christmas party. And again, you can get it at ah at Astrofiz.
00:27:35
Speaker
um So that's that's where it's going to be and it will open ah you know obviously in time for the party um but it might be other places to they haven't really said but we just know for sure that it's going to be there but this bucket was first revealed that at d twenty three which I don't actually remember being revealed at D23. I don't remember seeing this either. And it's, yeah it is a very cool bucket because it like, so, so the aesthetic is, it looks like, you know, it's an old fashioned truck that Mickey's driving.
00:28:03
Speaker
Goofy's in the back trying to hold on to a Christmas tree, which Chip and Dale are in. And it looks like Dale is whipping a pine cone at Goofy. I'd like to... i'd like I have a whole scene in my head of him like whipping it at Mickey's head and then Mickey loses control of the truck. and yeah Yeah. Yeah, I'm thinking to that like... um like house of mouse era, like yeah Christmas specials. Like, yeah like i yeah, I can see it in my head. Does does this light up?
00:28:33
Speaker
I would assume. does I think it does. Right. I guess the question would be what lights up on Is it just the, uh, the probably the Christmas lights, I would think the Christmas lights are the, uh, the headlights on the truck.
00:28:46
Speaker
Oh yeah. Both. Yeah. Both. Yeah. Hmm. By the way, so this is also going to be available. They're they're selling this on disney cruise on certain Disney Cruise Line ships as well as Aulani and at Disneyland too. So this is all over the place. It's everywhere. But it's kind of weird that it's that they're highlighting it as being just at Very Merry Christmas Party. when Yeah, you there's lots of places you're going to be able to get this.
00:29:07
Speaker
Yeah, i I'm assuming the popcorn bucket part is the hood. Yeah, it looks like the hood opens up and you get your popcorn out of the... But that's not a lot of space for popcorn unless it fills the entire entirety of the truck.
00:29:19
Speaker
I mean, okay, you're not buying these popcorn buckets because they're efficient on space. Let's be honest. Speak for yourself, Trevor. Yeah. If you are, you're not buying this particular one. You're buying one of the standard round ones if you want more popcorn. I'll tell you, when I bought the Skyliner one, that one held a lot of popcorn. I was with you when I bought that one, actually. That thing held a ton of popcorn.
00:29:42
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. but So, yeah, I guess, i guess yeah, you know you know, for anyone listening to this, there are lots of ways to get this. So, you know, don't feel like you got to go and yeah get one. Yeah, don't.
00:29:54
Speaker
I hate the the one thing i I love and hate about these is, you know, they're, they're super popular that, you know, they're in demand, but then it always leads to like those, you know, people trying to resell them.
00:30:05
Speaker
Oh, I guarantee they'll be all over the eBay. Yeah. And I'm just put it, you know, you know, I just want to put it out there for people that, you know, there's lots of places you can get these, so you shouldn't have to buy one on eBay. So,
00:30:16
Speaker
Yeah. Uh, this next item I had to put out here, even though it's not really parks, I, I just, I mean, it kind of is right, I guess, but it is, I mean, well, I mean, this is like Disney cruise line, isn't it? It is, but it's still parks because it's, it has to do with the haunted mansion. So, yeah,
00:30:33
Speaker
yeah I actually, we actually saw somebody getting married on the treasure when we were on the treasure. and we We saw the wedding happening in the grand hall. um And all I could say to my wife was, I can't imagine how expensive that wedding is. um You know what i mean? it probably costs fortune, but you know, regardless ah one of the new places that they're going to allow people to get married is in the haunted mansion parlor, specifically on the new Disney destiny, seemingly not on the treasure for whatever reason, but they're going to have the haunted mansion parlor.
00:31:02
Speaker
As a wedding venue, which I think is kind of awesome. I mean. Yeah. And i I see why they don't have it on both because they're probably going to test how.
00:31:14
Speaker
How it goes. Yeah. How big of a demand there will be for this because you're right. It's a very cool place for a wedding venue, but I feel like it's a very. Not everybody wants Haunted Mansion aesthetic for their wedding. No, it's a listen. It's a choice. Right. But there are certainly people that are going to want it. Like I could. it's I honestly, if my wife and I were going to do a small thing and we're going to you know, spend a bunch of money on it, like I could see her and I doing this and not because it's like, like, you know, got like this goth emo thing going on. It's it's more just because we love the haunted mansion, you know, but the yeah the interesting thing here, though, that.
00:31:47
Speaker
this is a really small lounge. Like if, you if you went in a Trevor, it's super small. And so it actually even just says in here, it can only accommodate 25 guests, including yes which actually seems like two very small wedding. Yeah. Yes.
00:32:00
Speaker
Extremely small. So, and, and, you know, you, but they do have a package and it has the officiant and floral arrangements. And ah listen, I'm not going to lie. If I'm doing this, I kind of want the officiant to be like one of the hitchhiking ghosts, like, see or, or like have have the, uh,
00:32:17
Speaker
um Like the ghost host type aesthetic or like cool the cast members in like, you know, in Haunted Mansion. about like the bride? What about the bride? Yeah. Well, no, I mean, you can't have the officiant be the bride. that would No, no. I mean, the bride from Haunted Mansion. Oh, okay. Okay.
00:32:33
Speaker
but But like as the as the officiant? Yes. No, that would be. Yes. No. why No, you're already in the hot. Listen, you're already in the hot invention lounge. why but but then But then you have the bride being officiant for a bride like that doesn't work. that That's breaking my brain right now. How great would that be? I forgot her name for a second. Constance Heshway, right? and So, yeah. come I mean, come on. Like, you know, she's had all these husbands. such like I think that that's, like, amazing.
00:33:04
Speaker
I would love that. Yeah. I don't They do touch on the, because the parlor is like the sea captain. I think the sea captain would be interesting. That'd be cool. I also have to say the, yeah the floral arrangements that they have on the the picture here are insane.
00:33:21
Speaker
Kind of awesome. Like like the these like black roses with different colors worked in. Like that's, ah Yeah, that that is definitely, definitely matches the aesthetic. I've never seen black floral arrangements for a wedding before. And like, yeah, you're right. It would be, this would be a very cool, memorable wedding. yeah And, and yeah, the the only thing that is unfortunate about it, I guess my, like, probably like you, you know, my family, i could not fit 25 or I could not just have 25 people like our, you know, when we had our wedding, I think we ended up
00:33:55
Speaker
There was over 100 people our wedding. I think there were like 200 people at my wedding. It was crazy. Yeah. Yeah. like Because you end up inviting like, you know, cousins and, you know, all kinds of people. So, yeah, it would.
00:34:06
Speaker
yeah And I get why, you know, they can't. This can't be a huge venue for it. But, you know, if you're looking for an intimate wedding, this is it's a cool idea. i don't disagree with you that it's a it's a cool idea.
00:34:20
Speaker
um i just don't know how many people are actually going to. take advantage of this. Right. I think you'd be surprised, man. Honestly, guess we'll see, i you know, I know, hopefully we do see some, uh, you know, some people who, who do posts like, you know, wedding photos and stuff. I would be curious to see what, what the stuff looks like outside of like Disney is kind of showing their their, version of it here in these advertisement photos. But I would be curious to see, you know, people that actually, um, do use this as a venue.
00:34:53
Speaker
So i decided just, you know, for pure morbid curiosity to see if the pricing of this was on the Disney wedding web website already. And it is.
00:35:03
Speaker
um It starts at $6,000, which is actually less than I thought it would be. That is not bad. No, because that includes something like this. That is not bad

Holiday Attire and Disney Events

00:35:14
Speaker
at all. Yeah. I mean, because that includes, um you know, every, you know, includes ah the the coordinator, ah the the flowers, the, ah you know, officiant and the musician, cake and champagne celebration, a meal for the couple at a couple of Paula, which is, the you know, the the nice the nice restaurant.
00:35:32
Speaker
um Yeah. So, I mean, it's and they, you know, will do all your wedding attire and stuff and stuff. And then they also give you a hundred dollar on board stateroom credit. Look at that. That's fun. Nice. But yeah, mean, that doesn't feel that bad. Now, given it's going to, there's going be a per guest cost there, I'm sure. But yeah, I mean, yeah, this is not like you do have to factor in that this is, you know, everybody is having to pay for, you know, cruise as well.
00:35:59
Speaker
So there's a lot of money there for for the cruise. So, you know, but, but the, you know, if the venue and everything was crazy expensive, that wouldn't, you You know, there wouldn't be a lot of people wanting to do this, but, you know, I feel like if you were already like planning a cruise and this, you know, an extra six thousand on top doesn't seem too far.
00:36:20
Speaker
no and Out of reach. Right. So but it is starting at. Right. So, like, yes who knows what the pro guest charges. Right. Like, that's what kind of extras that. yeah Yeah. Yeah. So some things will probably be extras. So. Yeah, no, it definitely costs more than that. But i it's less than I thought it was going to be. Honestly, I thought you were going to be way up there because, you know, like the stuff you if you want to do stuff in Magic Kingdom, it's it's ah it can be a lot more expensive than that. and So, yeah. um Yeah.
00:36:44
Speaker
But anyway, yeah. So I just had to pull that up. But I thought that was interesting and and kind of neat. So, yeah, that that is a still still in the Halloween vein. You know know, we're we're on the cusp between Halloween and Christmas. I think it's fair play to, you know, kind of bounce back and forth right now.
00:36:59
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, exactly. i agree. i agree. All right. So um why don't we why don't go ahead and do our ad and then we'll continue here and and you know' go from there and talk about some ah some other stuff. there's no There's not a lot this week. It's a quiet week, so which is fine.
00:37:15

00:38:00
Speaker
All right, Trevor. So i didn't I was looking at ah i was looking at um ah the these because we you know we're doing the party, right? And so I was like, we're going to do matching PJs to the party? like are we are we are we doing this? you You're doing PJs at the party?
00:38:19
Speaker
Well, it was more of, I was asking the question, you know, are we going to do the matching, you know? Cause I also like, i don't, and you can tell me if I'm wrong here, Trevor, how many people actually wear matching PJs to the, to the, to the thing, right? Like, I mean, I'm trying to think back to when we were there. I don't know, like, or I guess for us, it's a no, because it's, it's still really hot at night. Yeah. Or for us, it was really hot. So we were just in shorts and t-shirts anyway.
00:38:48
Speaker
um I mean, I've seen like people do wear a lot of very Christmassy stuff, and there's a range of it. like it's Sure. you know PJs would not be outside the realm of stuff you would see at the at the parties. Yeah.
00:39:03
Speaker
um I just don't want to do it and be like the only family doing it. You know what i mean? Like that's. I mean, yeah, it's like the other thing too is like, i guess I look at, you know, pajamas as, you know, there's there's something fine for at home when you're lounging around. I don't know that I would be wanting to run around a theme park in my pajamas. Like I would actually, i don't think it would be as comfortable as you think it is. I mean, i don't disagree with you. i i mean listen, i I just for Halloween, I walked around in my Sully onesie, you know, and that's not all that far off from pajama. I mean, it's it's a Sully onesie.
00:39:39
Speaker
And it was it's comfortable. it's It's not terrible. But to your point, I mean, it was pretty cold here, actually. And I was getting pretty toasty, you know? Yeah. yeah and Because you're doing a lot of...
00:39:53
Speaker
walking at, but like I said, the thing is, is that, you know, there are people that wear pajamas. it It like you, you would not be the only one people do wear pajamas to the Christmas party. The same way as like it's no different than wearing matching shirts and stuff like that. Like it's it's yeah totally, totally fair, fair play if you want to do that.
00:40:14
Speaker
I think we're rolling with the magic shirt matching shirts. I think that's what we ended up deciding and that we were doing. But listen, there's some cool stuff here. I like these. ah There's, you know, some there's this print that has like I think this is Christmas lights right on on this first one. And then.
00:40:27
Speaker
ah You know, there's some with just some of the characters on it. And, you know, Mickey's Mickey's floating around on a lot of them, obviously. um There's a what is this Disney cookie party? Oh, OK. So this one is all cookies and desserts on it. See, that's what I would if I was going to wear one to the party. That's what I would wear. Right. One with all the treats on it.
00:40:46
Speaker
You know, like I feel like that's a good option. Yeah, that that that definitely looks, those ones look okay. There is also, it looks like there's some stitch ones as well. you want yeah, because there's got to be stitch everything, right? so Yeah.
00:40:59
Speaker
I didn't see that many stitches walking around for Halloween. I didn't see that many stitches. I was surprised actually. Yeah, because K-pop Demon Hunters. Yeah. I mean, listen, I still saw some. I mean, I just didn't see lot. I just didn't see as many as I thought. It's the timing of it. Stitch came out before K-pop Demon Hunters, so it kind of got overshadowed. That's true. That's fair. Yeah. You know, you could do Stitch pajamas. You could do Star Wars too. Yeah.
00:41:27
Speaker
Star Wars ones are kind of interesting. um Yeah, because there's one that has a snowball fight between stormtroopers and Yoda. Yeah. What? and That's crazy. I can't see it in detail. I feel like the stormtroopers have to always be like missing the target.
00:41:42
Speaker
Yeah. The snowballs are not getting anywhere near them, right? Yeah. Yeah. That's pretty funny, actually. i like that that that. That would be a great detail if that's the case on it.
00:41:56
Speaker
There is also these lightning or are these lightning or these Pixar? It says Pixar. Okay. It's got bunch of Pixar characters. I just happened to know it's a lightning McQueen and Mater on the front of it. Yeah. There's like a bunch of different ones, but these are for like little kids though.
00:42:09
Speaker
i thought I thought these were all like, because there's a whole family wearing. Oh, no, you're right. You're right. There's adult ones, too. Yeah, sorry. There's adult ones, too. My bad. um But there's also, there's more Star Wars ones, too. They actually have ah quite a bit of Star Wars ones. They have. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. going further down here. There's, are these droids or just.
00:42:29
Speaker
Looks like. you know there's No, Chewie's on there as well. And Vader. Chewie's on there. Darth's on there. R2-D2. I mean, like, ah they're all on there. Yeah, these are I mean, these are neat. i don't I'm not against the matching pajama concept. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I'm i'm cool with it.
00:42:44
Speaker
like I mean, you know what I would say is i would i would go so far, like, I mean, for, you know, wearing pajamas, like a T-shirt with pajama bottoms, I would do yeah that's yeah i wouldn't do the the the, like, pajama tops where it's like the long sleeves and everything. That, that to me, feels like too much.
00:43:01
Speaker
um i And I know like people say, but you know, you know, pajamas are breathable, whatever. I don't wear, like I wear a t-shirt to bed because pajamas are just too hot. Like it's, yeah I agree. Or the, like, i like, ah you know, you know pajama bottoms and a t-shirt is fine because the top of is is just too hot. And I can't imagine walking around, ah magic kingdom, you know, like that. Like I would be sweating before I even got down main street and that's, yeah that's not good. Yeah.
00:43:29
Speaker
Yeah, no, I get that. I get that. So um anything else on this or we should we move to this last last topic for the day here? Yeah, I think it's good. You know, we we're going to this is going to be one of our shorter episodes for sure. That's fine. That's fine. which But hey, you're getting food time this week. So yeah, you are. You are. We have food time was pretty long. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah.
00:43:50
Speaker
But Trevor Disneyland is doing the thing again there, which I'm still amazed by this, that they're doing this, but they they're bringing Deadpool back for the holidays. They're doing story time with dead. They're doing the story time with Deadpool holiday special.
00:44:06
Speaker
Mm hmm. Which, listen, i I know, of course, they are, but I still can't believe they did this in the first place. Like, it kind of amazes me that they actually decided. It shows how well received Deadpool was and the fact that, you know, if if it wasn't pushed to have if Ryan Reynolds didn't push to have that movie made, yeah you wouldn't have any of this. um i i agree. with you But I mean, i actually it's funny because I, for whatever reason, just randomly decided to watch Deadpool and Wolverine again last night because it's it is a really good movie.
00:44:35
Speaker
I mean, it's so dirty. I mean, it's and i I am not offended by anything. Like I, you know, don't mind these dirty things, but like it's over the top dirty and I it's great. But it's just funny to me at like I almost feel like it would like fit in so much better just like a universal like universal. Yeah, get because it's like, OK, that's OK. It's a universal. But yeah, it's Disneyland. Yeah. It's actually, it's a very weird disconnect. think you're right. Because you think about it, like, yeah, dead Deadpool is like crazier, but that's at Disneyland. But then at Universal, they have the Grinch, which the Grinch is still like, he has that same kind of funny vibe about him and does like crazy stuff. But technically the Grinch is more tame
00:45:18
Speaker
than dead million times more tame than dead I mean like you know i'd like the um ah so ah you can't even it's not even the same universe I feel like you know of tameness but listen and that being said Trevor I love it I love that they're doing this it makes me really happy and I think it's great I and there were some I mean here's the other part about it Disney's not stupid right like they understand that they they're like how many of those things went viral with Deadpool last time they did this and You know where they had Deadpool there when they were promoting the movie and they had I mean, I think they also had Wolverine with him, too. And like there were like all kinds of funny interactions where he said things that were really close to the line. But and they ended up on, you know, all over the Internet. And Disney knows this and they love that kind of stuff. They love that kind of stuff. So, I mean, that's really why they're doing it more than anything, I think.
00:46:09
Speaker
But, you know, it's also extraordinarily valuable property them. It's just ah it's just a shame that they can't do these things at Disney World. And I it continues to make me angry, but it is what it is. But anyway, um as far as other characters, though, too, you know, November 14th, it starts through January 7th. So, of course, you're going to have Santa Claus. Right.
00:46:28
Speaker
Yeah. Which at Disneyland, he's so unlike Disney World, it looks like he's going to be kind of all over the place. Yeah, well, that is how Santa is, right? He's all over the place. But they specifically say he's going to make stops around Disneyland Resort. So it's he's not going to be just in any one place.
00:46:44
Speaker
He's also going to be over in California Adventure at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which is kind of an interesting place for that. but like like it's It's like a kid's playground and and Santa's going to show up there. That's cool.
00:46:56
Speaker
I mean, that's pretty cool. And then he's going to be at the hotels as well. The hotels will be later, though. Yeah. Yeah, it looks like, yeah, from November 27th to December 24th, he'll be at the, the ah he'll be appearing at all three Disney hotels. So Disneyland, Pixar Place, and the Grand Californian.
00:47:14
Speaker
Okay, nice. Well, so, you know, they're going to have, on Buena Vista, the Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Clarabelle. They also, Mater over at ah Cars Land is going to have a giant Santa hat, you know, because, of course, right?

Speaker
And then also at Grizzly Peak, there's going Carl, Russell, and Doug, which I don't associate with Christmas, but whatever. It's cool. But, they um I mean, they they can still have a Christmas christmas ah get-up yeah for them.
00:47:40
Speaker
Nothing wrong with it. Yeah. And then, you know, they also they start to go into the Deadpool thing here, too, where, you know, they're going to have special us season seasonal stories. um And obviously it's going to be an Avengers campus. But and it says the ah this limited time entertainment offering celebrates the season and only the way only Deadpool can can. At select performances, Wolverine may also stop to stop by.
00:48:07
Speaker
So there you go. that that's That's a little rough. Just good because, ah you know, the interaction between them is always funny.
00:48:17
Speaker
oh yeahslarious yeah, it's hilarious. Yeah. But the hard part is, yeah, obviously they they don't have or that they're not committing to that. It will always be Deadpool and Wolverine. So, yeah. Yeah, exactly. so So I guess brace yourself that you may not get to see Wolverine if that's what you're looking for as part of that that holiday special.
00:48:35
Speaker
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. But I mean, if you do see it, that'll be great. And that's going to make also, again, social media is going to blow up for that kind of stuff because it's it's great. um But also over California Venture, Festival of Holidays, you know, they're also you going to do Mickey, Minnie, Joy, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, Woody, Jesse, Bo Peep.
00:48:53
Speaker
All of them over there, right? So that's great. And there's also this ah Maribel's Gift of the Season, which is a street it's a street performer performance they had last year, and you know where they performed some of the songs from Encanto with a bunch of the characters. So that's pretty cool.
00:49:09
Speaker
um You also have this ah um you know musical Christmas with Miguel from Coco. So are they're going to get the mariachi thing going on. Yeah. but I do love the mariachi thing is very cool for the, uh, like the, the Christmas stuff that they do with that is it's super fun to watch.
00:49:26
Speaker
Yeah. That's that. Yeah. Cause they have all the dance. Like it's not just Coco. Like they have like the, the dancers and everything as well, which is, ah Yeah. They also, i I'm looking at these ah these these outfits that Mickey and Minnie are rocking for ah for the for these ah festive outfits they're going to have. They don't even say where, but it's, I mean, these outfits are crazy.
00:49:48
Speaker
Really? You think so? Yeah. They're so, they're like very, they're like over the top Christmas. Like they're really Christmasy. I don't know. I feel like it's pretty par for the course in California Adventure.
00:49:59
Speaker
yeah i guess yeah you you need to go to california adventure i mean no but it's it's not even that like it's just that it's very i mean it's just very over the top christmasy i don't know yeah i i'm not saying it's bad i like it um but you know then of course they you know they got the parades and everything going on so i mean it's even navidad as well we didn't mention that but so no no instead of the mirabell thing there and coco there is viva navidad is again ah like a um they have the three caballeros and yeah and mickey and minnie and all that are in it as well so i thought we'd seen these costumes before they revealed these back in july okay i thought i i thought they looked familiar to me some of them are yeah no no i mean the mickey and minnie one i just said was crazy they revealed that back in july oh yeah which sorry which one i'm there's like five different pictures of mickey and minnie the really shiny the really shiny one oh the uh the the red the red but yes christmas wrapping looking ones yes yeah that one yeah so anyway i really just wanted to talk about this because i because they're bringing deadpool back that's the only reason i wanted to talk about it honestly because the rest of the stuff is pretty much you know apart for the course for any disney park for the halloween for the holidays but uh i just had to we had to talk about the fact that deadpool is coming back that's crazy
00:51:16
Speaker
I don't like the fact that you're skipping over Chip and Dale at the Disneyland Hotel. I'm sorry you don't like that fact, but I did. They're they're they're in they're in reindeer onesies. Like, why would you not talk? We talked about this in July.
00:51:32
Speaker
In July we talked about this? Yeah, they did a whole release of a bunch of this in July, and I forgot until like just now. yeah wow okay Yeah, we shouldn't... Oh, right. Okay, yeah, you're right, because I'm seeing the i'm seeing the the Christmas Carol, Mickey and Doofy and Clarabelle and all that. Yeah, yeah we talk remember we talked about this back in July? I'm remembering this now. it's Yeah, I don't know. Were they just doing like a Christmas in July thing when they put this out? I don't i don't know why.
00:51:58
Speaker
i think at the time we made fun of the fact that it was although it was July and they were releasing all this. But, you know, yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah, there's definitely a timing aspect to that.

She's been like, she's had this, like, she keeps hinting at, you know, so, you know, November 1st, we're putting up the Christmas tree, right? And I'm like, I don't i don't want to start that early, but we'll we'll probably get it up here in the next couple of weeks. And, you know,
00:52:56
Speaker
Christmas. There's some people that could to have Christmas all year round. I'm just not one of those people. like kind fine with it being I'm fine with it being just at Christmas time. but my wife wants, if she had her way about it, we'd, we'd have the Christmas tree up all the time. so so yeah,
