how to make a vase. Now the first step that you want to do before making a vase is you want to decide whether you want it a narrow vase or do you want it a round kind of wide vase.

This is going to help you save some time because if you have a narrow vase it's going to take you a lot less time to make the vase. If you have a wider vase it's going to be a little bit longer and also going to have going to start coming up with some ideas with what shape you want.

The second step that you want to do is to wet your clay and begin putting pressure on your inside hand instead of your outside hand. And you move up your hand slowly as the wheel spins. The third step is focus on making sure that the rim doesn't get too out of control. By out of control, I mean too wide and where it becomes not as useful anymore.

So you really want to keep that rim in check. The fourth step that you should be taking is once you have the body in mind and it's kind of coming out how you want it, you want to pull just the top part of the clay of the base.

Finishing Touches and Style

You want to be able to create a little bit of a neck, depending on how you want your neck

or your base styled, your neck could be taller or it could be shorter or it could be wider or thinner. Either way, the neck is kind of important because it gives the base its actual shape really. Now, the fifth and last step is, once you have the shape all good, your body is looking good and your neck is coming out how you want it, the last step is to flare out the rim just a tad bit. This is going to give it that little bit

a little bit of extra flair, it's gonna make it look a lot nicer. So those are five steps to creating a base how you want it.
