Speaker: So, AC Milan are in crisis, thrashed 4 -0 by Lazio. What a performance, Nimr. It was outstanding, absolutely outstanding. It was Saribol when at its absolute best. And I think when it clicks, when Saribol clicks, Lazio play the most beautiful football in the city, after Napoli, who I think play
Speaker: The following is a clip from this week's Italian football podcast.
Speaker: play the best football in terms of aesthetics goes. But it's very interesting to see how Sarri has basically done at Milan what he did at Napoli, in the sense that the three up front Pedro, Filipe Anderson, Zakani and their triangular movements and their positional shifting, it reminds me very much of how
Speaker: Kaia Kornin Sr. and Mertens used to do at Napoli. It was beautiful football, but let's be honest, Milan did not exactly make life difficult for them, did they, Carlo?
Speaker: No, these are real dark times for Milan right now on the pitch. No wins in five now, three defeats in a row. And everybody, not just as a team, but everyone individually are in terrible form. The whole defense is shocking. The team are just lacking energy. They look so exhausted and tired, and they look broken mentally. There's just no fighting them. And their defense, I mean,
Speaker: nine goals considered in their last three games, seven games without a clean sheet. You know, they need to find a way to turn this around. And I mean, Nígolo Zaniolo,
Speaker: They're in talks to sign him from Roma. You know, I'm not sure it's a risk, it's a gamble, but they definitely need to sign someone before the end of the January window. And we know Zanyala, we know what a natural talent he is. He's had those two ACL injuries, he's having a terrible season, only one goal and no assists, but he has the quality and they need to sign someone, an attacker that can give them a bit of a jolt.
