India Mills: Roni just premiered and...
India Mills: I... am pretty happy that it was on. impressive. first episode okay i know there's so much discourse around ronnie because you guys love the old ronnie it's not like what it used to be blah blah blah I truly don't care because I'm excited for this new version of Roni.
India Mills: I think they had a great. first premiere i feel like you guys are too hard on it and just like give them a chance they're light and they're fresh and they're just trying to make a name for themselves so We're going to get started. I have a couple of segments that I...
India Mills: We'll go through throughout this podcast. My first one is called Girl Be Serious. So this is my like official. like What the F moment from the episode. You know.
India Mills: We had a couple. of newbies and listen I don't I know about New York just from like housewives and like things that I see. I don't live in New York. I don't know you know that the apartments are super, super small or whatever it is about New York. Don't have me offended people. um so let me ah roll it back but Our new girl, our new girl, um Haley.
India Mills: so So protein bars in the oven. Can we just, can we just talk about that for a second? Like I use my oven pretty much every day. I use it in the summer. I know my mom would be like, no girl, do not turn on the oven in the summer because it may, whatever. I have AC.
India Mills: Put protein bars in the oven. sunglasses in the kitchen cabinet i'm a bit confused i don't understand Why? um I wish we would have gotten more of like a tour of her apartment to see like, is it actually small and she has to put things in there? Like I get that maybe she doesn't cook, but.
India Mills: That would just make me so nervous. I turned my oven on and immediately I opened the oven door to be like, is anything in there? Nothing's in there. um I just... I just feel like when I was younger, my mom or my dad, they used to leave the leftover oil Like if they fried something and they would leave it.
India Mills: in the oven. And. I don't even fry things, but it just makes me nervous. so I always check it, but the fact that she has her protein bars in there, her sunglasses in there, I don't know what's going on. um But I'm actually pretty into Hailey. I felt like her entrance was...
India Mills: pretty freaking funny i'm like this girl is on rollerblades in a fur coat smoking effortlessly. i I can't rollerblade. i'm not even sure i wish i could but she like did that was a good intro i can't lie like she actually cracked me up throughout this whole episode so we'll get into hayley a little bit more um The other two newbies Daisy and Erica. So we didn't get a lot.
India Mills: from Erica this episode, but I just have to like tell you guys what my notes were for um for the newbies so i wrote them down i wrote daisy She's the one that worked with Zai, but she's not a stripper.
India Mills: Haley, I said, she's a skinny lady with protein bars in the oven. That really bothered me that she had protein bars in the oven. I don't know why. And then for Erica, all I had was that she married a billionaire. So she is a billionaire. um Which I appreciate. Go, Erica.
India Mills: I assume we're going to get more from her as like the season progresses, but. um you know i'm i'm into it i love the fresh faces i am gonna miss uba dearly can we just like have a moment of silence for uba
India Mills: Woman of silence and I laugh. oh i miss i'll miss that face i'll miss that face i'm not gonna lie um top ten top five actually um But anyways, so.
India Mills: The episode starts... Psy, first of all, has always been my favorite. Don't care what anyone says. Since she stepped on the scene, I remember before she stepped on the scene, people were like, ew, why are they getting an influencer for New York? like did it So freaking what?
India Mills: all the housewives become influencers and you guys try to be influencers anyway too so like whatever don't try to like down and influencer but It opens up with Psy and Jessel. And Psy is like.
India Mills: vulnerable and apologizing to Jessel. And I just actually really appreciated it because she was like, look, girl. I was deflecting this whole time. I was talking about your marriage and pointing out things that I didn't like.
India Mills: Meanwhile... My husband don't have a job and he was broken. I was supporting him. He's not even taking care of the kids because Cy is like, I'm doing all the kids stuff, the paperwork, the da -da -da. so sorry you don't have a job and you're not helping me with the children which is like the least you can do. I really don't understand. I don't understand. but Cheers to Cy for freaking keeping that facade for the past three years because.
India Mills: I don't think I've been able to. I've been so irritated with him, first of all. Being a mom is hard. And when you're a mom and you have to support your entire household and your man.
India Mills: Isn't helping. I'm irritated. I don't wanna talk to you. I don't wanna look at you. I don't want you to touch me. I don't want anything from you, but to go get a job and help me. with these bills and with these children. So.
India Mills: It is kind of like sad, you know, for a a family to dissolve or whatever, but You know, sometimes you got to do what you got to do. And I just really appreciate her being open and letting us know.
India Mills: on And telling it to Jessel, because again, we got it in the flashback. She and Jessel have not had a great relationship for the past couple of seasons that they've been on. And so I would like to know a little bit more about how they got together and became this close and how Psy does feel like she can trust Jessel.
India Mills: I think just as a character. um I enjoy her. I feel like, I don't know. If I would trust her 100%, but that's not my business. She's not my friend. So um I did just really, really appreciate Psy in that moment. And I feel like she's going to kind of carry out this being her authentic self throughout the rest of the season. And I'm here for it. And I'm ready to see it. um But I did love Psy and Daisy together.
India Mills: they might be my new favorite pair on this show like They both. Have no of each other. for years and years and years on end. They both worked at, what was it? Shooters? Don't quote me, you guys. My memory is. awful, but they both worked there.
India Mills: Not as strippers. Listen, Daisy said, I'm gonna let you guys know 15 ,000 times. I was not a stripper. Okay. And I appreciate that because people go straight to, oh, you worked in a a gentleman's club. You're a stripper. Also.
India Mills: if you're a stripper like you're probably in really good shape so Literally no judgment there, but um She let us know, not a stripper. i loved their interaction when they were shopping at the real real which call me stupid you guys but i just thought that was online i didn't know they had an actual storefront that literally had a sensor on everything that if you touched it it goes off but
India Mills: That entire scene was just like light and fun. And I did feel like really bad for Daisy because she couldn't buy that coat. like girl i don't care how much this costs like i'm going home with it homeboy said girl please like
India Mills: he said no I don't want to check the records and somebody ordered it offline, which rude for you guys not to remove it off the shelves immediately after somebody purchased it online. Now you got Daisy over here crying over this leather jacket that she can't buy.
India Mills: Ugh. Poor thing. I did enjoy that scene very much though. I don't know what that guy's name was, but he did it for me. They're a little like, mmm, and no, mmm. Back and forth? or whatever that was. ah That just actually made me really happy all over again now that I'm thinking about it. um so That was like really, really fun. but i i actually am like really really enjoying this i'm happy that it's back i feel like
India Mills: They needed a break. Not even I feel like. They needed a break after that last season with that one girl. doing that stuff to uber and just like it becoming a little bit toxic um taking a break taking a step back then like Really actually probably building those true friendships because it does seem like.
India Mills: uh aaron and psy Were. Are. real friends and then like Jessel too. And maybe they just want to stick together because they. started this reboot together. um I appreciate that and I think...
India Mills: because of that they will make this a nice stronger show and then with the addition of Daisy. Haley. erica i want to see where erica lives immediately can we get a house tour um of one of her houses i'm sure she has plenty but with the addition of them uh carol's around too but It's fine. um I'm excited, but I will say, okay, so Haley.
India Mills: actually cracked me up. And you guys, I'm not going to like go scene by scene because I don't have time for that. And also there are so many other Bravo podcasts out there that go scene by scene that are.
India Mills: really really good if you guys care for that like Be my guest. i'll kind of just show you my, let you know what my thoughts are. on This is how I would talk to my girlfriends and you guys are my girlfriends at this point. So Haley.
India Mills: said something and I was like, this is very much me now. I didn't know she was high when Erin came over. i just thought she was so hyper focused on erin not taking her shoes off because i'm also a germaphobe and Uh...
India Mills: I do want you to take your shoes off. when you come into my house, I also would like for you to wash your hands too. But like, that's neither here nor there. But when Aaron was telling her story. And Haley is like.
India Mills: I'm just so focused that she don't have her shoes on but she's crying now so like it's like not a good time to tell her to take her shoes off and i just need to know friends, because we're friends now.
India Mills: Would you have been like Aaron? You know, I'm so sorry that you're going through this, but do you mind just taking your shoes off really quickly and then we can finish the story and also try to open this bottle of wine? Because did they ever get it open?
India Mills: unclear but i i think i would have told her to take her shoes off because it would have distracted me and i i don't think i would have heard her now Haley didn't hear her for different reasons. she was distracted by her not taking her shoes off but she also was high which we later learned because Aaron was filling everybody's business.
India Mills: And that leads me to... Bye. Next. segment it's called hear me out so this is just a potentially controversial or unpopular opinion. You know, people always like to say on threads, or whatever unpopular opinion and it's not actually one but i'm not judging. um This is my hear me out unpopular opinion. Erin gets a lot of Flack.
India Mills: But she's necessary. She's necessary for the show because you... Always meet someone. That is telling everyone's business, right? like ah We can't keep secrets.
India Mills: on Real Housewives. Personal life? My personal friend. 110%. Please do not tell anybody my business. But as a housewife, it's almost your responsibility to do so. I don't need everyone telling everyone's business, but we always need. one or two people who are willing,
India Mills: to overshare. Now... Erin needs to also share her business too, but i think she's necessary and i i never want to see her go because i I like that they can kind of like pile on her. And like, I like to see her squirm, but then I like that she's telling everybody.
India Mills: business because i also want to know and it's like if it's something they said off camera please like Inform the people. Like, I want to know. So.
India Mills: She's my... um Erin being necessary is my... Hear me out. controversial opinion but Do you guys agree? I mean...
India Mills: We do need someone that is willing to be messy. now One little caveat. Don't tell super personal, potentially damaging information. But something like, oh, Psy's going through a hard time. She just like dropped a nug there. She didn't say. why she's going through a hard time did she need to say anything about jessel's ivf journey You know.
India Mills: you know maybe not But... Was she also posting? I don't know. Was she also posting about it? Was she maybe telling other people and Aaron didn't know that it was a secret? I have no idea, but I am ready to listen and, you know, look at the fallout because we see an The preview.
India Mills: for just like the season that Cy's gonna go off on Aaron and you know say some things because Aaron talks too much. But listen. She is in the house with a bunch of kids.
India Mills: I don't know what Abe is doing all day. I don't know what his job is. I don't remember and I don't really care to be honest. No offense. But... When you're around a bunch of kids and then you get around an adult You're freaking excited. You're talking too much.
India Mills: you're drinking you're just like oh my god i'm so excited to have some adult time and someone that can have like a conversation back with me that's not talking about fricking Sesame Street or something.
India Mills: I know those kids aren't that young. Her newest one is that young, but. I kind of get it. I kind of get it a little bit. Look at me turning around on Aaron. in the moment, but we'll see We'll see how that plays out. um
India Mills: I want to go through something. So I am very heavy on threads. I love threads. Threads is my thing. Bravo Girl Talk is where I post everything. And so I want to do a segment called the group chat. So I want to pull a couple of things that I've seen on threads and just read them here and just let you guys know. like what's being said out in the world so I asked just a simple question.
India Mills: What did you guys think about the premiere without spoiling it for me? So I got a couple of responses back. so And I'm not even going to try to say everyone's name properly because, you know, it's thrice. You can put whatever nickname you want. You can spell it however you want. and whatever I'll do my best some of these on here I love and they always comment on my things and I try to comment on theirs too so I appreciate it but
India Mills: So Mr. Entertainment goes, this is what it should have been when the original reboot happened. This feels fresh in New York. I'm seated. And I agree because I think.
India Mills: The ladies all tried too hard. when the reboot happened, I think they had too much pressure on them from People loving the last. version of New York with like,
India Mills: those other people um But it does feel fresh. it It feels like. a housewives show. It doesn't feel like they're trying to be something that they're not.
India Mills: Again, we started out with Cy being very vulnerable and being like, dang, Jessel, I'm sorry that I was like talking about your marriage because girl, mine was trash. I shouldn't say all that, but you get what I'm saying. Um, it's the alley cat. This is my Aquarius girl. So she goes, I kind of enjoyed it. Martha Stewart lured me in. Haley had me laughing. You guys.
India Mills: Martha wants to be a housewife. Are we convinced? Because she came in. She gave us JFK stuff. She's talking about homegirls. Please. Put your pie up.
India Mills: Turn your pots around. take Get that tea kettle thing off the stove. What are you doing? like I think Martha wants to be a housewife. and I don't know. I kind of feel like she's messy. um Make her a friend of.
India Mills: Give Kathy Hilton a run for her money, right? Great first episode, but still cautious. I'm going to say OC Vasquez.
India Mills: Don't quote me. um I get being cautious still. just because We know how people can hype things up, Andy. um and it's actually not that good but I feel like if we keep it. open mind.
India Mills: We'll enjoy it and we'll love it. And if we stop trying to compare it to what New York used to be, New York. used to be good. Don't get me wrong. But then People kept being super racist and then it just didn't work out.
India Mills: anyways um loved it and i love the new gals and i think this season is going to be great I agree. Ah. effing great episode one in all caps by emily underscore t i I love the excitement. Fresh and new. Love Daisy. Love the dynamics. Love the lures.
India Mills: We're into all of this. Somebody thought it was great. Oh, this guy or girl. I'm sorry Their hand is just... black power fist it just says no more uber no that does suck like again uber Top five. Top five.
India Mills: And then someone goes, P underscore auto body underscore goes phenomenal. Love the crazy one. I said, which one is a Haley? But it could be Haley. It could be Daisy. I don't know. But the fact that they just like. refer to them as the crazy one.
India Mills: works for me because I do think they're going to be crazy. I think i think the combo of daisy and haley and then erica's money. And how it seems like she's pretty frugal.
India Mills: um I'm just like I'm very much into it and I'm excited and I'm just happy that We have another Housewives show. We have Salt Lake City coming on next week, which I will be covering. I'll try to figure out how to do both of these. I am a mom, you guys. like Give me a little bit of grace, but.
India Mills: excited I love the housewives. I love talking about it. You guys have to let me know what your thoughts are. If you haven't watched the episode yet, I didn't do like too many crazy spoilers. You probably saw more online than than what I gave, but.
India Mills: Watch it. Let me know. Make sure you're subscribed so that you know when all of my new podcasts come out. I think I'm going to release one every Thursday. So um just stay on the lookout for those. And I will talk to you guys later. Cheers.
