In this ELAFF special edition, Teresa sits down with film festival director and community activist Juan Escobedo to hear about his amazing story starting the East Los Angeles Film Festival, from working in HIV prevention in San Diego to setting up clinics, workshops, and arts programs for families in East Los Angeles, Juan shares his journey to how he has always married filmmaking, arts, and community activism.
