Speaker: 47. Oh, man, Canteen, every week you are right on time. Canteen's close. That's what I'll say. Oh, wow, Jake, that's a little... Price is right type stuff. What's up, Cool McKay? What you got?

Speaker: Jay. No, bro. 75, a little over the top there. Uh... 52. At least. Jake, you'll be going first, kid you'll go second, school you'll go third.

Speaker: Uh, Jake, wait, what you got? Well... The game of the week that I saw... I think they're for real. um I also believe that this division is as tight as it could be.

Speaker: Shout out to Todd Munkin. for getting released. Out of damn Baltimore. And slapping them right in the fuck. the damn face. and practically shutting him up.

Speaker: and saying, guess what you lost there, buddy? You blamed me. You blame me for Lamar. By the way, the guy's hurt again. Shocker there. You did it again. But here we are.

Speaker: And now... I am in the lead. with sh - Shador as my backup and Deshaun Watson as my QB right now. I am in the lead of the AFC. north right now. with that.

Speaker: While y 'all got Joe Burrow. And you know how I love Burr. I love me some burr. You do? We know that? Yes, yes. Aaron Rodgers, old ass. And Lamar Jackson rejuvenated. wrong A rejuvenated Aaron Rodgers. What should we say?

Speaker: As I said, The Browns showed me that they're for real. And I believe they're going to be a wrecking to be forced with. I promise you that. But is this sustainable? with what you said is it sustainable talking about deshaun watson who we've seen before Hasn't been a great quarterback. Now it seems like maybe he's getting a little bit of that ability back. He does have four game -winning drives. Hey, Todd, I'm about to hop on his back. I'm hopping on your back, Todd Munkin.

Speaker: You got through more, man. I think that ah Sean Watson has begun to get his massages again. And that has rejuvenated. Oh, way now. Hey. No, man. They're massaging someone. That's what missing. missing.

Speaker: He found out about it, uh... He found out about it, uh... Special RV Park. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah Yeah. Be getting some extra in.

Speaker: He found out about the back room in the nail salon. Come on, man. or Whoa, KG, what do you know about it? What do you know about it? ah So that was your game of the week. The Cleveland Browns over. The Ravens' Vontario Cursa. Thanks for tuning in since Brown sucks. Dang. Guy get real. What a hater.

Speaker: wow that's uh wow hey derrick henry has a real fumbling problem you watch they go that's gonna hurt them too He did say the Ravens suck too, so he did say that. Look, Aaron Rodgers is rejuvenated. He is. 250 yards and and and and multiple touchdowns in the past three or four games, I believe now. And don't forget Aaron Rodgers. The magical mushrooms.

Speaker: The magical Rogers Mushroom, baby. The Mushroom Man. i'm not I am not opposed to anyone using... uh any kinds of substance dishs to get them where they need to be uh shout out to joe reyes Salute. Thank you for tuning in. I need help. Should I take the Packers or the Lions? Let's go around the horn.

Speaker: Oh, wait, is this one of our game picks? I think it is. Or is it? Uh... No, it's not. Okay, let's go around the corn real quick. Packers, Lions, can't see who you got.

Speaker: Going Green Bay, man. Green Bay. Cool. Who you got in this one coming up this weekend? You should definitely take the footage, Pegas. Good night. The Packers. That's what he said. All right, Jake, who you got? You know who I got, bro. J Love Live. It's time. Get going. I know you do.

Speaker: I know you do. yeah i think it's in I think it's in Detroit. And I think - Don't matter, doesn't matter. Well, I think they're getting Brian Branch back, too. They have a high school defense, Omar. Sorry. Anybody can throw touchdowns all over them. Brian Branch would help if he returns from injury. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker: But you might be right. Von Terrio says, my boy, Perk Rogers. Perk Rogers is tremendous. Is the truth. He's going to prove you wrong, Jake. You just watch. Oh, my gosh. Already on a first -name basis with him. Let's go, Kool. What was your game of the weekend?

Speaker: So... So many teams in college football choked. Mm hmm. Two teams didn't choke. Technically one beam choke. because one higher ranked team win against a rival they have.

Speaker: massive gains against. Doesn't matter that they suck. Because all I've been hearing is, oh, Florida State's not good. Florida State is good against Miami. Miami is good against Florida State. It's always a battle.

Speaker: Miami win. these cane. They saw, they conquered, they're now number one. Why? Because everybody else put on a choke fist. So if you are going to tell me. You're going to punish the team. for finding a way to win. when all their counterparts All the other teasers are supposed to be so good.

Speaker: Laws. Piss on you. Now, do you think about the fact that that it took. overtime and the two...

Speaker: Suspect Hail Mary. Penalty calls? I don't give a flying fudge. Because we don't need... Anybody else? you'll do that We don't do that to Georgia. We don't do that to Alabama.

Speaker: We don't do that to know today. So I don't give a flying fudge. That's true. That is true. No, you're not wrong about that. In Miami, look, it was a tremendous game. I know we were watching it because our brother, ah Big Rube, is a Hurricanes fan, and we was like, it was he was... biting his nails uh it was it was look They pulled it out and you're right.

Speaker: A win is a win, and that's what we say all the time in football. Any given Saturday. I was going to say sacrifice. That's great. Any given Sunday. That's what it's about, is a team can win. And especially in college football, with the crazy weekend we had with five upsets out in the seven ranked games, right, you are definitely going to get something like that. And that was definitely one of the games of the weekend, no doubt about it.

Speaker: K &T, what was your game of the weekend? so So I usually would deviate and go towards Georgia and Auburn, but I'm going to ima go go in a different direction tonight, man. The game of the weekend to me was Alabama versus Tennessee.

Speaker: Uh... There you go. Tennessee was ranked at 14, Alabama at number six. But when we look at the total stats, man, all Tennessee had a total of 347 yards, 20. 21st downs, two turnovers. Their time in possession was 35.

Speaker: minutes and 44 seconds and they had um And they converted the ball on third down conversion six out of 15. Here's the thing I want to highlight about this game. George McIntyre. 21 -31 for passing 197 yards, one interception.

Speaker: This game was really, really, really pivotal because Alabama should have won this game, but Alabama's lost two. conference games in the SEC they lost to Georgia. A week ago, then they lost a tenth. day They lost. It's Alabama.

Speaker: Alabama, so let me let let me be right Alabama lost to Georgia, then Alabama ended up losing to Tennessee. Now Alabama has the face of Texas A &M team. They got a bye week this week, and then they go and play LSU on the road.

Speaker: Here's the thing, man.

Speaker: there were four There were four first... Four. forced turnovers by Alabama. including two interceptions, man. So here at the end of the day, man, It's Kalen the boy who we thought he was. Is Alabama the team that we thought they were gonna be?

Speaker: Um... at the end of the day man nick saban was a pivotal piece at At Alabama. But Alabama's not the program that they used to be. They've taken two losses.

Speaker: this season. And I think it's only going to get worse. i I'll be honest. I think Texas A &M may upset them this weekend. Didn't he gotta Then they go on the road to LSU. Wow.

Speaker: that but that was my upset of the weekend man I mean I'm really shocked I mean Georgia went in and beat them. and beat them in a close game because the weather conditions were really bad. it I mean, they beat them on offense, defense, special teams, all those different things.

Speaker: but for them to go on the road. And losing Knoxville, that was... That was that was bad. Yeah, and look, man, I mean, I'm... i'm live I live in Tennessee, so I hear all the the Tennessee talk.

Speaker: Tennessee is not good because they don't have a a good quarterback. They've been dealing with this two quarterback system. They had finally George McIntyre was able to put it, put together a game manager type game, but really what's been carrying the volunteers this whole season is their defense. Yeah. And that's what they did. uh go ahead Hot man, hot. Hi, Paul. Josh Heupel has been able to make something out of nothing. and been able to keep that team well put together, man. So that was my game of the weekend, man.

Speaker: And also, and look, when you can keep the, and that that's what happened here, right? The Crimson Tide offense, and that's their problem too, if we're being frank about this. It's not Kalen DeBoer, although he's not as great a coach as Nick Saban. God, we know that. right But it's because they haven't had a quarterback since he's been there. And now they finally got Keelan Russell. Keelan Russell, yeah.

Speaker: But then the top within the past two games. That same offense that averaged 45 points, and we were talking about Keeler Russell in the Heisman conversation, now he goes he but he only goes... for 201 yards and one yard those two interceptions. Now you can chalk that up to the good Tennessee defense, but that's now two games in a row. that he has played poorly so our other teams catching on tequila russell are in the sec look

Speaker: Coaches in the SEC are good for a reason, and they're – there for a reason they they're there to game plan and catch on to these younger quarterbacks as quickly as they get going. So... We'll see what happens there. I don't believe in Tennessee. I believe in Alabama more, if you're asking me.

Speaker: but um You know, I do believe as well, and I keep shouting this. Kill the cows, come home. There will be a three loss. SDC team in the playoffs. That gets into the CFP.

Speaker: It's going to be a playoff. By the way, I just want to add one other them quick thing. Yeah, go ahead. um pressure book Bus pipes. Where it makes diamonds. o yeah There were only two diamonds this weekend.

Speaker: That was BYU in Miami. Yep. That's a good point. No, you're right. And you remember BYU. on a sneak tilt. BYU did play another top 18. in Notre Dame so they couldn't both lose.

Speaker: So Miami's the only actual... team that was not in the game where they Play another top team. because lost and really destroyed their season. Yep, yep.

Speaker: And when you look at... um All right. Specifically, all of the losses. from these ranked teams. um It's only going to get more parity as we're seeing you know a lot of these teams getting better. from the bottom up so we'll see what happens all right Kanteen, who was your winner in that argument?

Speaker: Pssst.

Speaker: I gotta go, Jake. I got to go Jake. And the reason I'm going Jake is because, man. I picked Cleveland to be one of the worst teams in the NFL. But they have really shocked me.

Speaker: I like monkeying. And I think Munkin has really came into it came in there, developed office the offense and the defense, developed the whole system. Deshaun Watson, man. a Don't be surprised them guys. They may make the playoffs.

Speaker: That's interesting. I mean Bobby G was saying that. before the season, so we'll see. They're 4 -2. Like I said, we have to see if this is sustainable. Cool. Who won that argument for you?

Speaker: I'm going to go canteen slightly over Jake. I like both arguments. um the reason being is he was able to presents a really strong point. On. Um, Alabama.

Speaker: Right. What's been going on? And of course, I mean, college football, the parody that we're getting now and we're seeing – There was a point a couple of years ago where number four couldn't beat number one. Because there was such a gap between number four and number one. That's a really good point.

Speaker: We're getting it shrinking down a little bit. So. Like that. There you go. jake But I don't dislike the Cleveland point either. Okay. You good? I'm gonna go canteen as well, but here's my thing.

Speaker: i swear if i see alabama for some reason they're 13th and they got two losses Texas loser. We're already past number 19, which is a slap in our face for what they're doing to us.

Speaker: So I better not keep seeing this Alabama home bias that that college football committee usually does for those guys. Good one. Shout out Canteen. Yeah, K -Team gets the point on that one. And look.

Speaker: Both of those games were really good. i could have gone either way the miami florida state game was obviously the more exciting game but I believe the Alabama Tennessee game had more. had more ramifications. for the college football playoffs.

Speaker: So you could say both games are really big. So let me ask you a question or minute on that point. So you think it might be lost. to Florida State that wouldn't have ramifications on on the college football team? No, no, no. I definitely do. I'm just saying. I think it would have, man.

Speaker: you But here's the thing, man. the the ace To me, I think the ACC is really watered down. I think ACC is a cakewalk when it comes to college football, to me. To me, ACNN...

Speaker: That's just me. You didn't start your argument off with a lot of people say Florida State sucks. And look. Florida State, like I said, any given Saturday can happen. that a team will play above their heads.

Speaker: um but yeah i mean canteen's right there's only I mean, I even see Wake Forest at 6 -1, and I'm like... I just can't. I can't trust anybody but Miami in that. Well, that's what I'm saying. so Every week is pressure.

Speaker: Miami has to perform. they have no They can't go lose two games like Alabama. and still getting the college playoffs. Miami loses the game. In the ACC, they're out of the playoffs. Yeah, that's a good point. You know what?

Speaker: i like both games and you talked me into it i'm gonna give you both a point You got both points. There you go. I like being convinced. I'm a professor. My students do that to me all the time. They try to get better grades. I have to put on for my conference because nobody else will.

Speaker: that's all good all right let's move it on to our uh second debate of the day we have our Rank them. Or pick them. Yes, indeed.

Speaker: Let's get it going right now. We are going to go to our top. three. College football. and NFL contenders. So we're going to do them one at a time. We'll do college football first. You'll remember we did this segment last week.

Speaker: with Hot Take Jake and the rest of the crew. And the reason I'm doing the same segment again is because of all the upsets. We had this weekend. I wanted to see where everybody's top three stated this week. Again, these are not your rankings. These are your top three, who you think are the best chances. to win the championship at the end of the season, and why. uh rank them and i just want to say last week Just to go back. To the rankings, Hot Cake Jake had Notre Dame as his number one team.

Speaker: Ohio State as his number two team. And Texas. as his number three team. Wildcard Marr had Notre Dame as number one. Georgia as number two. Indiana as number three. And Flo had Georgia number one, Notre Dame number two, and Ohio State. number three out of all those teams. Ohio State was the only one.

Speaker: uh, to win this weekend beating Indiana. That being said... was started off with cool. This time... What is your college football top three? Rankings.

Speaker: And why? So Ohio State will be in the top three, but I'm going to give them the same treatment that the community gave Florida State. You lost your quarterback, so you're not good anymore. So they're out. oh Yep. a Hey.

Speaker: Yep. ah So I'm going to say Indiana. umm Hard -fought loss. I think they still... um They still have everything it takes to be a national championship team.

Speaker: They're your number one? or They're my number one. Okay. Indiana. Because I think that... Losing to who would be the best team. It doesn't hurt as much as losing to somebody who it wouldn't be ranked.

Speaker: um I am going to... I've got a little bit of battle here at number two on my mind. But I'm going to take Notre Dame at number two. I think. Oh. Right, even after the loss. Even been after the loss, im didn't give them because again. You lost to another ranked, you lost to an A -ranked team.

Speaker: No you're not wrong. We didn't lose two. you know somebody who can't play Now, BYU did get a big jump for beating Notre Dame. Taking your place pretty much at number two. Um... And I'm going to be a homer. I'm going to go in Miami third.

Speaker: Miami, number three. from from the first game of the season. until The championship game, Miami's playing the playoff game every week. So if you can play a playoff game every week and win.

Speaker: then you should be a top contender. There's no margin for error. Indiana. Notre Dame, Miami now. Um... I know you you you went through why, but I'm just looking at this and thinking to myself, okay.

Speaker: well And I know rankings work differently because it's when you win and how you win and who you win against. on any given week. But! Obviously, the Poles have Miami ranked number one, so a lot of the pollsters think Miami is the better team than Indiana. Why do you think Indiana has the better chance to win the championship than Miami?

Speaker: because um just like I said, indian Indiana can slip up and still be there. Okay. um Everybody else can still sleep up and be there. Miami has to play perfect. or they you they still have to But they still have to get – let's say they both make the playoffs.

Speaker: They would still have to get through the playoffs, too, in order to even get to the championship. Correct. Okay. But they had to make it first. Right. No, you're wrong. Yeah, not wrong. Not wrong about that at all. um All right, cool. well Let's get to you, Jake. Who are your top three college football contenders?

Speaker: Well, Ohio State... Uh, I know you brought out my negatives, you piece of trash. Bring out my positive. Ohio State look great. I brought up everybody, not just you, okay? I was fair. Ohio State look great.

Speaker: I think they're back on track. I think they are the number one to me. Okay. I believe number two is Notre Dame. I still think they're the scariest team. I think they slept on BYU and were not prepared.

Speaker: I do think that for sure. I think that they slept on it. They will be ready won come playoff time. cause No, they see that. But BYU is a really good team. and they have an excellent coach.

Speaker: Um, in Katani Sasaki. He is tremendous. He's been there for 10, 12 years now. And he has gotten double digit wins. with that program now for the past four, five, six years. So BYU.

Speaker: Don't sleep on them like they haven't been... They've been a powerhouse for a while. It's been underrated. They got a target on the back now. See how they ate. That's true. Keep going, Jake. My bad. The last team's my hot take of the day, and I'm calling this. I've seen enough. I know when I see a good head coach.

Speaker: This damn haircut and I hate to do this because I know Omar is gonna be slobbing this knob oh what But I think the UCLA Bruins are for real. I think Coach Chesney is one of them ones. I think this team can shock the world. If you look at their next toughest game.

Speaker: It's USC at the end of the season. They're about to go through ah just to just a I think the way he's coaching it. The way he's doing it, he's doing his thing. This idiot's about to go grab a UCLA damn hat just to be happy.

Speaker: Bye.

Speaker: I got UCLA. I got UCLA. Coach Chesney is one of them ones. He knows how to coach. I can't believe they found him out of James Madison. Gosh, man. Look at him. Look at him. Damn. Look at him.

Speaker: U -C -L -A! Fight, fight, fight! Let's get an eight clap for my UCLA Bruins, baby. Let's go. And you know where I'm going to be, Jake? For that useless USC game? You're going? I will be in the Rose Bowl. front row. I got it. front row tickets to cover. UCLA USC at the Rose Bowl, baby. Wow. Your boy will be there. All right. I love it. Yes, my team, we are undefeated. The only undefeated team.

Speaker: in the big big 10 who thought that would ever be said Canteen, who are your top three? college football contenders. All right, so right now I got to go Miami. They're 6 -0. They're number one at this point, man. They are 6 -0 in the AP poll.

Speaker: they have an elite uh league defense they're under they're undefeated and battle tested in close games One of the biggest things about Miami, they have a balanced offense and they have a balanced defense, man. the things i like about uh miami or this right here guys they have veteran leadership Great playmakers.

Speaker: Strong defensive front. And they can win close games. and ah And like I said, they are able to dominate. the ACC. I mean, there is nobody in the ACC right now that has the potential to possibly beat them when it comes to the ACC Championship. on My two -team, I got to go with my boys, the Georgia Bulldogs, man.

Speaker: At the end of the day, Georgia lost A close game to Auburn. It's okay. But the thing about Georgia, man, we got elite coaching. They can dominate the trenches, strong defense. Georgia's able to make things happen in big game situations. The only thing I think the biggest downfall of Georgia is Gunner Stockton and Gunner Stockton and his play. Um...

Speaker: We're physically on both sides of the ball, but like I said, I think there was a lot of disconnection that happened between us and Auburn. And lastly, I'm going to go with my My last team was Ohio State, man. Ohio State.

Speaker: Man, if you look at Ohio State, man, these guys – produce NFL caliber athletes. They're elite on both sides of the ball. I like Ryan D. Um... they I'm when i look at their When I look at their conference, they're able to just just just just dominate and do what they need to do, man.

Speaker: and and And the biggest thing about a team like Ohio State is the recruiting, man. If you're able to go in someone's home sit on someone's couch and pulled him from the couch. and bring them to the organization you can win. So those are my top my top three teams at this point right now.

Speaker: Mhm. Yeah, and Miami is the first... number one team from the ACC since Clemson in 2020. And there had not been another one since Florida State.

Speaker: in 2014. yeah the acc is just they're they've been down for a while you know aside from You know, some ups here and there. Miami's been down since like 2003. yeah well Willis McGahee, right?

Speaker: I mean, those red. Them dudes are bad. Yeah, um yeah and then and then for the and then when you look at, and i'll get actually I'll get to this in a second, but when you look at your Bulldogs, yes.

Speaker: They're coached well. Yes, they have a a good team. Maybe they slipped up. But, yeah I mean, even as Georgia, you can't have a slip -up like that in the playoffs, even though I still think. Right. they'll They'll be fine.

Speaker: And yes, It took ah took ah took a second to get on. it's a little bit snug it's supposed to be an extra large and so i don't know why it came on so tight

Speaker: But that was a little hard to get over the over the head. Maybe it was the hat and the headphones. Maybe I should have took that off. Come on, club. Shout out. A Sunday showdown. um But anyways, ah so yeah, look, let's go ahead and get around the horn here. We'll start with you. on this one. Cole, who'd you have winning this argument?

Speaker: I got to go to do to pick Miami first, man. I'm a homer. indeed Yes. I'm sorry. Oh, I thought I didn't introduce y 'all. I was like, wait, you know. it's He got me, man. He picked Miami first. I'm like.

Speaker: Oh, he's like, I got to go somewhere different. You didn't have to. You could have just had a better argument. But yeah, I hear you. Jake, who you got? I got McCain. I like his argument with Indiana, but I do think Indiana falls soon.

Speaker: Yeah. um Look. Jake, I know you want me to pick you. for the UCLA pick. And I will give you a professor's point just for sucking up. But the answer here. is truly can't teams answer. Miami. Georgia OSU. I know Georgia lost to Auburn. I don't see that as too much of a detriment. I still think they're one of the top.

Speaker: Uh... top teams in the nation, and those three teams? If you gave me a wins pool or a championship pool at the beginning of the season or even now, where we're talking about it now. Those three teams are the ones I want to ride into battle with. Miami UGA and OSU.

Speaker: so i have been There's a lot of hate in my arm. in my statement about Ohio State because of what it did to Florida State a few years ago. And I would never let that go. M 'kay. I'm not mad at it. We all do that in our sport. I don't even like Florida State, but they beat the conference world. I'll never let it go.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. No, no, no. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. That's so funny how we do that as sports fans, especially you just have your allegiances and your loyalties. yeah That's great. All right, cool. Let's move it into the NFL. Top three championship contenders.

Speaker: um Look, again, this is not the undefeated teams. I don't... necessarily if it is you can say it but i don't want you to say oh you know vikings san francisco just because they're undefeated These are who you actually think at the end of the year. Have the top three. Chances. to win the NFL championship.

Speaker: And Jake, we're going to start with you on this one only because I know we did a version of this. last week on the show, so I know you're pretty prepared. for this answer already. Go ahead. What are your top three NFL contenders?

Speaker: number three i got san francisco here's why i think if they stay healthy if they stay healthy They can always make it to the Super Bowl. The only weakness they ever have is if they see number 15 in a red jersey. I don't know why. For some reason, they get just, oh my gosh, it's kryptonite. Damn that guy.

Speaker: But... I got them number three. Number two. Look, man, I'm not gonna hate... i know that a lot of people hate on this guy but i think he's doing wonders Josh Allen is showing himself.

Speaker: I think the bills can kind of show up and show out this year. I think they need to fix their defense. Steel? And their defense is in process. but I think if he can get home field advantage in Buffalo.

Speaker: he has a very good chance. And then last but not least. Look man.

Speaker: It and just... Don't do it. Don't do it. With what I saw last week, Omar, I know we're ahead of schedule we we defensively.

Speaker: Ugh. I need black eye. Paintball. to get there. If Bo Nix... Can come into himself. And not only that, the Colts are over here. Colts are selling away. I think the Eagles might be selling away their stocks here soon.

Speaker: I would not be surprised if we see a running back. be giving to the Denver Broncos. to close this case and get us the for sure. Super Bowl that we need to chase this year.

Speaker: It won't be second one. It's too much dead money. And then it's going to be JT. he's He's like the wife you don't want no more it's cheaper to keep her ah

Speaker: excuse I think that the Broncos defense to what they did and showed with an injured three top players and they did their thing Thursday night. I was so proud of them. Did their thing.

Speaker: The entertainment! Did you get 168 yards, son? Y 'all had 168 yards its in a game that went to overtime.

Speaker: to overtime. I think honestly, even in NFL history to have less than 175 yards in a game that went to overtime. Go Knicks get the fix, bruh! Get it out of your head!

Speaker: He sucks! He's the next Mitch Trubisky. Hey. Nick Carson wins. Get that shit out of your head! He had a good comeback, so you think he's good? So did Carson Wentz when he had that championship year.

Speaker: That's a low blue. Anyways, go ahead. Slap in the face, man. Go, go, go next. Go next. Don't worry. You're Denver picking the slap in the face. Can't help us out here. oh What am I doing? All right, man. So if I if i had to go with my top three contending teams right now, I got to go with Buffalo number one, man.

Speaker: I mean, Buffalo, there I mean, they're doing phenomenal at this at this point in the season. They're 4 -1. Man. Josh Allen, James Cook, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, man. Explosive on offense, explosive on defense.

Speaker: My biggest concern about Buffalo, man, is if... um Allen stays healthy. and Alan doesn't burn himself out man. The thing about Josh Allen Josh Allen wants to take the bulk of the ah offense on him.

Speaker: and run himself in the ground and he ends up burning himself out and they get to the playoffs. they may get about it may not get a buy and then they get to The divisional round, and there what happens, guys? They gone.

Speaker: So, um That's my one team, and then I like San Fran. The thing I'll say about San Fran. I like Shanahan. Shanahan's a great guy. Shanahan has the ability.

Speaker: to always bank on a quarterback who's a pocket passer. Shanahan banking on Matt Ryan. Shanahan is banking on... Brock Purdy right now and then the defense. The defense.

Speaker: When you got Raheem Morris. He's a better defensive coordinator than he is ah ah than he is a head coach. So I like that whole, I like that whole Come on, Stu. Mike Evans and the rest of the organization stays healthy. We said this earlier, me, Jake, and a a Professor we were and were in the green room talking earlier.

Speaker: If San Fran can stay healthy. they can dominate and go to distance if they don't stay healthy it'll be a domino effect Once one person gets injured, Everybody will get injured.

Speaker: And then they'll end up they'll end up tanking out at the end of the season. And lastly, I got to go with the Chiefs. Mahomes has a way of winning. Andy re is a but andy Reid is that guy. I know you don't like what I'm about to say, Jake.

Speaker: I'm going to say this right here and here's what I'm going to say. Kenneth Walker. was the best thing that ever happened to the Kansas City Chiefs, I'm going to tell you. I mean, come on. If you go back and look at some of the games that they have played. You got Patrick Mahomes on the team, bro. You can just say he was the best pickup of the offseason. Hey. You didn't have to say all that. No, he said it right because I don't think Pat Mahomes is the same Pat Mahomes.

Speaker: Yeah, but he bought them already three championships. and No, no, no. What I mean by that is... you i but there hurt Kenneth Walker is hiding. who we really know. Pat Mahomes is not that guy.

Speaker: And I cannot wait till it gets exposed. And I hope it gets exposed this weekend. Doesn't he have three Super Bowls? You're talking about his history. I'm talking about his now. Oh, we're talking about now. Okay, okay, my bad, my bad.

Speaker: For being a Raiders fan, you sure do just jump on that red meat real easily. No! Pause! Pause! Dang, man. You want a man like that?

Speaker: Oh, my God. That is crazy. I hate the Kansas City Cleefs. Okay, I hate them with all of my heart. And I hate the color red. I don't even like the color red in general.

Speaker: um So... all right anyways you know what jake go uh cool get it save us cool who are your top three Wow. It's hard to follow that. but um yeah So...

Speaker: The question for me is at three. So I'm going to come back to three. No. One and two is very simple. Number one. We have the Kansas City Chiefs. I hate to quit. You know why they're number one?

Speaker: because they have Patty Mayo, and he's going to get every call. And Kenneth Walker is a monster over there. Yep. They can run the ball whenever they want. This man's on pace with what, like 2 ,300 yards? So. You got that. He's on pace for a lot. if we Yeah, you got that. You got the run game. You got enough. on the defensive end.

Speaker: You know, you got ah the referee's favorite quarterback. And the other thing that puts them at number one over my number two team. who is San Francisco, is as was said earlier. 15 is ever since those daddies so far.

Speaker: So you can't be above your dad. So you guys. Kansas City. You got San Francisco. I think San Francisco is the team that's best. equipped to handle multiple injuries.

Speaker: One of my real good friends, man, is a ah i mean saying All he talks about is. every year how they have so many injuries and he's like right now they have like six seven players out and it doesn't even feel like they're missing anybody because they're so used to it Yeah. So you take a team like that that's battle -tested in playing with without guys?

Speaker: You know, they played without a quarterback last year. you know, for several games. So this is a team that I think is – Prepare for whatever comes. Mm -hmm. Three is is a little tricky.

Speaker: Just because there's a lot of teams that I feel like... Could feel that. But I'm going to be a little wild here. And I'm going to say... If you give...

Speaker: If Lamar Jackson gets healthy with Baltimore, That should be your number three team. Okay, wow. allmon All right. They can throw the ball to multiple guys. Lamar Jackson can still run the ball.

Speaker: The defense is not as dominant as it was five, ten years ago. But it's still a solid defense, above solid defense. Um... Mark Andrews does not take him away and the team sucks to them.

Speaker: you know, Jackson's throwing the ball all over the field. He's hitting Bateman. you know He's hitting so many different guys now. that it's harder to take away one or two guys. And... negate what he can do.

Speaker: So I'm going to say slight margin. I'm going to put Baltimore as my third. EVE! the more Jackson can get healthy. they don't have a moreja There you go. All right, a little caveat there. Shout out to Clubber D, who also is a 49ers fan and says the same thing all the time. about them and you know because they do have injuries every year so yeah He says the same thing about them being able to also survived those injuries. So, all right, cool.

Speaker: All right, well. go ahead and who was the one that hasn't gone first yet in picking jake Jake, you have a Jake who won the argument.

Speaker: I'm trying to unmute my mic. I'm going to go. I'm going to go cool McCain on that one. I think he went outlandish with the Ravens. As much as I don't buy it. You like the outlandishness of it.

Speaker: Yeah. like the bold The boldness of it. okay I'll go that with that one. What did you say, Cole? I said, you got to go out there sometimes, man. Yeah, yeah, you know, definitely do. I like that. Canteen. Who you got in this one?

Speaker: You will mute your team.

Speaker: all alright Alright. Canteen? Can you hear us? No, you're on mute, bro. Okay. What are you doing? Nah. All right, you guys come out and come back in. ka ah Cool, who you got in this one?

Speaker: Um... I like Jake's. Okay. I like Jason. All right. We'll have to wait for. Canteen to come back and break the tie there. um When he comes back, he'll break the tie. Actually, I think.

Speaker: Personally, if you're asking me, which yeah i don't i don't I only break ties here. Cantina, who you got? Yeah, my bad. I don't know what happened. I wasn't muted at all, man. You good, bro? Hey, man. It's streaming. It's crazy. Yeah, you're streaming it. Cool, man. He went outlandish with that one, man. Like, Jake stayed crazy.

Speaker: Hey, man, you got that one, bro. I mean, the thing about it is... you know As outlandish as it is because of the fact that they have not. perform well this year, as long as you have... Lamar Jackson, number eight there, back there, at the quarterback, is kind of like having Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker: or Josh Allen. They can overcome deficiencies in the teams and even deficiencies in themselves, especially in the case of Allen and the interceptions. He throws. a lot of times all right so cool we'll get The point on that one, I personally um I personally would have given it to... ah to uh to canteen i think that uh buffalo San Francisco. and Kansas City are the three best teams in the league.

Speaker: And you can rate them any ranking you want. I didn't put that in any. particular ranking but i do think those are the three best teams Ciao. But it ain't me that picks, so they can go cool. You get a point on that one. All right.

Speaker: Let's move it on to our Game over. Picks! We have our college football picks first. So there are only two ranked games this week. So let's go ahead and pick these ranked games.

Speaker: Uh... Or, uh... The SEC, I take Jake. This is your team. You were very high on them last week. I wonder if you're still high on them now even though they lost.

Speaker: last week. Talk to us about your pick for Ole Miss and Texas.

Speaker: Look. I know you're laughing. I know you're happy. That's a slap in our face what happened to us. I think overall... Arch was not ready for their game.

Speaker: I think he was thinking about that before. He been in the league for - We're in the college for three years now. When are you going to be ready for a game like that? You've been starting for two seasons. What do you mean he ain't ready?

Speaker: So the dazed and confused? Arch Manning, that's a real thing? I think Steve Sarkeesian said it best. That's what the SEC folks are saying, that he's a little dazed and confused out there. Confused and so crazy. He's spoken too much in a reefer. Steve Sarkeesian said it best. And he said it right away. He said, look.

Speaker: He said that that Florida has a top -tier team. that nobody really knows about. They're really good players over there. With that being said, he's got to face Trinidad Chambliss this week.

Speaker: Yes, he does. Yes, he does. Um... It hurts me. but Do I think they're gonna lose? Does everything tell us that they're gonna lose? Absolutely.

Speaker: But do I still believe in Steve? I do him damn right do. and i think they can pull this off remember this is in texas this is in austin They got to do what they got to do. One thing you got to understand is Ole Miss has had their Cinderella story with who they've beaten recently.

Speaker: But you got to understand this. The Longhorns No. That they play best. when their backs are against the damn wall. And boy oh boy are they.

Speaker: So it's now or never. Not wrong about that. It is now or never for them because look. um I did say a three -loss team will get in. from the SEC, and that is true. And it could be Texas. But. I mean, and AP mentioned this on, you know, one of the first few episodes of any game this year.

Speaker: Boop! But Texas has a hell of a gauntlet schedule. coming up the rest of the way, starting little with Ole Miss. It doesn't get any easier the rest of the season. It doesn't get no better.

Speaker: Texas wins 17 -13. Arch throws a last -minute touchdown, wins the game. He said shut up and keep it moving. All right, I'll keep it moving for you. I know you don't want to hear horns down. or whatever AP might say. If you were watching. Cool. Who you got in this game?

Speaker: I'm going to have the, I'm going to have the grief. with Jake. I mean, Texas has to pull it out this week. It's not a if and maybe. They gotta go in there locked in, they gotta to go in there ready to go. And they've got to get it because, you know,

Speaker: SEC, skills not gonna get any easier. And you're not going to get in with four or five losses. so You got to start winning games. You got to be some guys who people think. You should lose to it. Ole Miss is beautiful. We know this.

Speaker: Ole Miss is... All right. What's the best way to describe all this? I'm trying to think of a good way to to describe old music. o miss You know who Ole Miss is?

Speaker: Oh Mrs. Two -Face. Two -faced. from Batman really Okay, mate. Okay. Because some weeks they come out and you're like... Okay.

Speaker: In some ways, he could come out of your life. RIP. It's not a... consistency. So I'm gonna say Ole Miss reminds me of Two -Face. And I'm going to go check this out. Now, Even though Jake Your Longhorns are 103rd in yards per play.

Speaker: Somehow y 'all still have a 80 % chance to make the playoffs with a 9 -3 record. Canteen, who do you have in this game? All right, man. So I'm i'm um i'm going the complete opposite of what these gen what these gentlemen i'm just said, man. I'm going Ole Miss, man. I like people. You like O -M -U. You've been going to O -M -U a lot this year. Hey, I like... So here's why I base everything on what it is, man.

Speaker: Lane Kiffin left a great team last year. Let's go. Boop. Hung them out to dry. Love him to flap in the wind with LSU. Things ain't looking good on his end. Pete Golden and got these guys, developed these guys, they're good on offense, defense, special teams and all that good stuff.

Speaker: Here's the thing. Here's the thing. They're seven. Genesis 19. takes take another loss, they kind of... I got to go Ole Miss. On the road. upset. I'm going to go Ole Miss.

Speaker: 31, Texas 27. Ole Miss 31, Texas 27. Yeah, look. Um... I picked Texas to win the championship. I thought Arch Manning after the...

Speaker: Stretch he had the last six games of last season when he had 20 touchdowns and three interceptions and was playing really good ball. i thought what they I thought when they brought in the best transfer portal. Hollywood Smothers and Rod Coleman and Ringo and all the other players they brought in this offseason spending the most money in the in the portal.

Speaker: i I thought this was this year. I thought they were going to put it all together. But Steve Sarkeesian has just proven. that he just cannot win the the crucial games that he needs to win. so far and that's just what it is in his whole college career. It's not just Texas everywhere he's been.

Speaker: um So... We'll see if that changes. Their back is against the wall. They have no choice but to win. Do I think they can? I hope so, just for the sake of my prediction. But honestly? do I think they will.

Speaker: Nah, man. Trinidad -Chambers is the best is. Bowling. is if not the best quarterback in college. because there's a couple others up there. Camario Taylor, Darian Mensah. and some others that I can think of.

Speaker: Um... He is the best NFL. quarterback prospect. I know people say Camario Taylor. I actually like Trinidad Chambliss better. yeah question not to cut you off where do you foresee trying to have chambers going on the board and where what team?

Speaker: I mean, he'll be ah he'll be ah probably a mid to late round. First round pick, maybe second round. I can see him going early. yeah You haven't heard? Cantini's going to Philly. all me I mean, look, he a little bit or he's a little

Speaker: Yeah, yeah. He is a little Jalen Hurst -ish. That might actually not be a bad pickup for y 'all in terms of... of Style. um but yeah yeah But, I mean, i don't I don't even think Arch Manning is going number one anymore. I don't think there will be any quarterbacks. I don't think it's everyone, number one.

Speaker: i they I know, but you know something like this. Preplay hype. Because of his name. And it won't be bad. It won't be good. but everybody doesn't come in like ready to be an nfl quarterback they want Thanks.

Speaker: facts big facts all right we'll lead us off here uh cool we got houston number 14 at Number 10, Utah, Big 12 matchup. Who you got? Utah. I'm going to make this simple. I know these guys are going to go into details. It's gonna save us a little time. I'm going to use up.

Speaker: Utah. All right, Jake, who you got? I got Houston. They should have beat Tech earlier this year. Better do it now. Houston is a real threat. Houston's a real threat. Heard that. Kanteen, who you got?

Speaker: I'm going Houston 17 -14, man. Caveat on what Jake just said, man, they should have upset Texas Tech. In Lubbock. But the thing about a team like... ah Houston, man, their defense is tight.

Speaker: Special teams look good, and I think they're going to win that turnover battle. I think they're gonna push that ball down the field, man. Go Houston. There you go. All right, cool. And there was only two college -ranked games this week, so we will move it on. to our NFL. picks We're going to do four NFL picks this week. We're going to add in the Sunday. Game in France.

Speaker: Which, by the way, NFL is still. planning on playing, and if you've been seeing crazy the craziness going out on out there, With all the, uh... the uh protests and uh stuff for the students and the economy and the riots and all that stuff It's been getting pretty crazy over there, so I'm surprised.

Speaker: that the NFL is continuing on with it. But they are. So let's go ahead and get into it for us. These are your NFL picks for the weekend. Let's go ahead and get it on. Patriots at Bears.

Speaker: Thursday night. Canteen, lead us off here. Man, I... the This game here is going to be a crazy game, man. What I'm going to do, what I'm going to say about this, man, the Bears. Continue to get better and better and better each week. They got a great head coach.

Speaker: I think ah Caleb Williams back in the helm. I'm going with the Bears at home, man. Bears at home, yeah. man I mean, look, Caleb Williams came back last week and had the highest completion percentage of his career. Over 80%.

Speaker: um Ben Johnson is loving. Having killed Williams. they are a they are somehow a tandem that has I mean, look, Caleb, will he's he's really... extracted that greatness out of Caleb Williams and as much as you know i don't like them and that's more because I'm a UCLA fan. and He went to FUSC.

Speaker: Um... uh i think he's just he's he's really good he's just really good he has the bears Had a clip. a very high clip. um Let's go with you, Cool. What do you got in this one? Yeah, I'm going to Chicago too.

Speaker: um I think the defense plays really well. Well, who, Tank? They gained tackle. ah they they were They're really focused on doing what they need to do in the run game. And the thing is, one of those guys can be out and they still room they still run the ball hard.

Speaker: This is a team that they're going to run the ball. They're predicated on running the ball. and they let you know that they're going to run the ball, and they still run the ball all over you. as it did in the Philadelphia Eagles last night. um i've I've watched it. Painfully.

Speaker: um I do want to say piss on the NFL. and how they treated my boy Jalen and then how they're gonna turn around. And make you guys go to France. and play with all the turmoil and stuff going on there.

Speaker: You guys don't care about the players. And you know what? will Come one day. The caveat of what school just said, man, it's a funny thing, and the players are... the players have become obsolete and irrelevant at this point man it's money And you know what's funny about that? is when I was thinking of topics for this show, I was actually thinking of doing a player's health.

Speaker: topic because of all this stuff that has happened. um because you're right. they don't care about players health all they care about is the bottom line the dollar because if they did then they stopped faking the funk like they care about cte and all this other bullshit

Speaker: sending in players halfway across the world, making them play 930 games, making them play Thursdays after short weeks, like all of these things that they've adding 17 games now an 18th game. Like all of these things say to us as fans. We don't care about player safety, so. i mean i yeah anyways i just thought that was funny that i was actually gonna make that a topic but yeah Cool. I actually want you to take a little time here because... I know you've been going kind of quick on the picks, so take a little time to explain to us what happened.

Speaker: with this Jalen Hurts thing. This is crazy. We can't believe that they made him fly halfway across the world with a blood clot. Talk to us. So we have a kid. Remember the technical turn down, but it was like on top of the skin. It hadn't went in yet.

Speaker: um So... That was it was from a cleat a cle that he yeah in high right a lot of people get those and then it stops there. But the problem is... um I have... uh people i know that are nurses you know stuff so i asked them i said well What should have happened?

Speaker: And they said basically if he had to fly. The legs should have been kept cool. It should have been compressed. It should have been elevated when he was elevated. I don't believe any of those things happen on that plane.

Speaker: And there was nobody battle on that plane to ensure that that happened. And... any reason for him to have to go over there when he has something. That could turn into something worse. Right! Why are you sending them anyways?

Speaker: You just sit this one out. But I also blame Devin Hurst. I just said this on my show before now. Because it's too much of a yes man. Mmm. If I had that situation with me, and I knew it could turn into something worse, No, I don't want to.

Speaker: I don't care what you say. You don't believe me? Who is Jalen Hurts' his agent, too? to not be there and be like nah man we got a whole career to worry about instead of one game Well, his agent... um

Speaker: She very much follows his direction. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Got it. all right you tell you tells him he tells her kind of how he wants things to go what he wants yeah And she makes it happen as an agent should do.

Speaker: But there are some times where I would say, like, if I was her, I'd be like, look. You need to worry about yourself. I want Jalen Hurts to worry about himself. I want... Fans, players, coaches, everybody to be aware.

Speaker: Take care of things before they get worse. Because this happened after the game because he played in the game and flew back. So you had him playing the game. After flying seven hours,

Speaker: where the lady should not have been in the airplane. Mhm. Then he goes over. Practices all week. complains about pain, he had He can't sleep for 36 hours before the game, but he can play in the game.

Speaker: right That's crazy. That's been the thing, man. The stupid idiots in this in the... Office of the NFL says... There's nothing wrong with that. No rules were broken. Okay. My question was on my shoulder. I'll ask the question here and then I'll be done.

Speaker: Where is the call for change? Where is that? Call for change. The change, man. but if This was Josh Allen. Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker: They want to play. No, if they did play, if this was Josh, Alex, Patrick, Mahomes. or ah Joe Burrow and they played and this happened, what would happen? that rule would be changed. by the end of that day.

Speaker: Wait!

Speaker: So why is it any different for Jalen?

Speaker: You know the dynamic, man. You know. Good job. You know, you can't say it. that you get you can make you It's just one of them things, man. it's Deal. mm -hmm Yeah, okay. No, we get it. Understood completely. All right, cool. Just wanted to get some more insight from an eagle's point of view. there. on for the season Okay, yeah, yeah. Now he's out for the season, right. So you wish it all.

Speaker: That don't make no damn sense, man. Yeah, you got to protect the players more, NFL. Jake, who's your pick in this one? The Bears. I got Ben Johnson. He's doing his thing. They should win this game really well.

Speaker: And... All right. trip They gotta travel to Chicago. Good luck. Yeah, yeah, no, you're not wrong about that. And also traveling very, very far is France. Steelers and Saints. Go ahead, Jake, get us on this one.

Speaker: I got this upset right here. Tyler Shook is going to show that he's the young buck. Aaron Rodgers is gonna fall on his face flat. um I think the Saints will win this.

Speaker: minorly. I got 37. 21. I think they they show them what's up. I don't buy the Steelers for one bit. And...

Speaker: I think... Look, Kellen Moore is not a bad head coach. It's just he does not have the players yet. So I think overall with the team he has around him.

Speaker: He's done a good job. Now's the time to make your next move. You're in a bad division Start taking over it. Start taking over it. That's all he's got to do. Start taking it over, little by little.

Speaker: They're killing the mission in michigan and Philly Bay. they Yeah. they yeah Meh.

Speaker: um Yeah, let's let's think about this for a second. The Saints. have had a horrible year because You know, like like we talked about on the show last week. Uh Jake - Tyler Shuck, the teams catch up on in your second year. They start to actually make ah you know adjustments. They find out how how you actually play.

Speaker: from when you were a rookie when you caught them off guard. And that's what they did. But the problem is, Gail Benson. The owner of the Saints came out this week. He went to a a touchdown club.

Speaker: ceremony which you know these things are usually all about praise and nothing else. And she said at the stay at the at the podium, That the GM coach... And the team. needed to fix things very, very quickly. or things were going to happen.

Speaker: And she's not one that usually comes out and is that pointed. So for her, especially to come out against Mickey Loomis. who's been basically a lifetime GM there. Um. There are going to be some heads rolling. if the saints don't get this.

Speaker: uh turned around Now. going to over to France. I think things get wacky. And I think. uh and actually i'm not even gonna say what i'm about six i don't want to give anybody Any insights in their picks?

Speaker: But I'm also going with New Orleans. KD, who you got in this one? I'm rocking Steelers, man. Um... Still is a playing pretty good ball on both sides of the ball, man. I think Aaron Rodgers, they got a point to prove. I mean...

Speaker: For a guy like him, man, it's either the all or none at this point in the season. It's all is either all or none. You going to make the playoffs? I mean, what are you going to do at this point? Mm -hmm. No, he's creeping up on you. and and And they have a decent coach. But like like I said, the culture at Pittsburgh.

Speaker: It's about culture. It's about building a good team and organization, but like... But then to bring in up that the guy that got in as the head coach, man, they brought in... um McCarthy, right? Mike McCarthy.

Speaker: It's good. It kind of... got to lose the organization to me. because in Because in the team's organization, the the entire time they existed, they only had, what, three head coaches, I think.

Speaker: Power. Um... Yeah, Tomlin and Chuck Noll. And Tomlin, man, so... I'm going to rock with them on this one. I think they'll win a close in my three.

Speaker: Okay. Yeah, I mean, Mark McCarthy has injected some life into Rogers. Maybe it's their partnership coming back together from Green Bay. You know, you never know. We'll see what happens. But yeah, Rogers, as I said earlier. has been playing well like i said i think he's fourth game in a row that he had 250 yards and multiple touchdowns. uh cool who you got in this one I'm going to go ah with the Steelers as well because I think that they be overseas. That um...

Speaker: I can't get enough of laughing. I think to be overseas. My boy, the Mushroom Man, is going to have a plethora of options. Make sure that he's a he gets he gets a quick pick me up and he can maintain it all through the game. Yeah. Yeah. you know, look. Pittsburgh.

Speaker: uh defensively is good enough I think that... um what we were saying earlier about ah New Orleans. They're going to be good if they get the time. but I don't think they're quite there yet.

Speaker: Personnel -wise. Yeah. Yeah, look, I mean, if if they were in Amsterdam... Instead of French, I could definitely... vouched for the fact that he may be at the at the at the coffee shop.

Speaker: with with a couple with a couple of substances. ingested into the body i can never confirm or deny if i've been in any of those coffee shops But let's keep it. I think the reason New Orleans wins. is because Rodgers is – old man Rodgers, look, man. You're traveling overseas. That's a long -ass play.

Speaker: Old people can't stay in that long flight. I'm going to go with the Saints winning because Rodgers just, his legs ain't going to be there for the game. That's why I'm going. Dang. That's why he's a little funny. That's why he's gonna have his magical mushrooms waiting on him. Yeah, that's right. Get that chocolate bar on God mode, Aaron. Let's do it. um All right. It's an I -Y -K -Y -K.

Speaker: As the kids would say. All right, let's go to the Sunday night game. Chiefs. And Seahawks. Queefs and Seahawks, excuse me. Cool. We'll start with you on this one. Who you got in Sunday night's game?

Speaker: The Queets are going to run all over the Seahawks. Mmm. Wow, really? Okay, all over again. They went all over him, under him, through him, around him. Mayo's going to make a couple of plays. I mean, Mahomes is going to make a couple of plays. Sorry.

Speaker: and um Kelsey will get in an argument with two people from the other team's defense. And they'll... It's probably true. Yep. All right, KC, Jake, who you got?

Speaker: Look. You got to look at desperate measures. and desperate teams. see how is this If Seattle loses this game, they have the same record. as the Los Angeles Rams, who practically are falling off a cliff right now.

Speaker: Lay on. Um... I think this is a must win for Seattle. I think... To stop Kenneth Walker, you had to play against him in practice every day of your life for a while there.

Speaker: I think Mike McDaniel has done that. Mike McDonald has done that. yeah I think. This will be the start of the expose. a of Mr. Patrick Mahomes, buddy.

Speaker: Because I think today, this Sunday night. we're going to see that Patrick Mahomes really ain't him. Denver, if you look at that Denver game week one, He doesn't play well.

Speaker: They run all over us. And I keep trying to tell everybody, guys, somebody stop Kenneth Walker so we can see how he plays. And I'm ready to see it.

Speaker: I think if you can stop Kenneth Walker... we will see that Patrick Mahomes has turned into just Pat. we're just we're just We're just gonna call him Pat. Sorry, Pat. He's nothing spectacular anymore.

Speaker: And I think Mike McDonald shows that this weekend. I got Seattle winning 21. 17. and the demise will be televised for them. Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker: i love Yeah, I mean... I love it. What was that? You do what? yeah I love the cheese hate. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's that's all you'll ever get on this program or on this channel in general. And look, um I actually agree with you again here, Jake, because I do think Seattle's back is against the wall. And I do think they realize they need a win. And I do think that they're better.

Speaker: than what they've put forward this year. Although Sam Darnold is seeing ghosts. Although he's becoming pumpkin mode and no flow. You didn't make that up for Sam Darnold. I did. So stop trying to steal my words because I saw you online trying to say you made up pumpkin mold for Sam Gohan. You didn't because I did.

Speaker: Anyways, we'll keep it moving. um Kenneth Walker is... The reason that the Chiefs have been going as they have been going this way this year as... as uh jake said earlier look man His patience. His change of direction, his burst through the line, his ability to break tackles in first contact.

Speaker: He's been a nightmare, and I got your sports professor stat. for this right here. Thanks to NFL Research. Kenneth Walker had two touchdowns in the Chiefs' Week 6 win. His fourth – Multi -touchdown game out of five Chiefs games this season.

Speaker: Joining only. Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson in 2011. as the only player since the 1970 merger. to score multiple touchdowns in four of their teams.

Speaker: First five games. So there you go. There's your sports professor stat for that one. Kenneth Walker is on a tear. K &T, who you got in this game? Man. I think this is going to be a crazy game for me, man, with this prediction, man. But I i think... um 27, 24.

Speaker: I'ma go to Seattle at home, man. All right. yeah And that's the other thing. They're at home, right? They're at home, too. If Seattle can keep Mahomes off the field, if the Panthers can hold up, and if they can and if they can make some explosive plays.

Speaker: On the offense, I think they'll be successful in winning that game there. There you go. Kanteen, we'll come right back to you because we're going to save the Eagles fan for last on this one. Kanteen, who you got in the Cowboys -Eagles Monday night game?

Speaker: So, man, when I look at the NFC East right now, man, it's a mess. I'm disappointed in you -2 in the past few weeks. This is crazy. You got a team 1 -4 -1. You got two teams 2 -4. And then you got one team 3 -2 -1.

Speaker: And the Giants. And the Giants. The Giants are going to start McCarthy Monday. uh sunday right Um... Yep.

Speaker: i but It's hard for me to say, man. I think this is going to be a close game. Really? You Tanner McKee, right? Tanner McKee, yeah, he's playing.

Speaker: Yes!

Speaker: I'm going to go 23 -20, man, Dallas, man. I don't think it's going to be a big a big big scoring affair, man. I think it'll be close. You know Dallas they need to win if they trying to make some playoff contention the Eagles i mean cool probably our cool already knows his fate of his season with his team right now so I mean, you're an honest broker, so you already know how things gonna go.

Speaker: Hell, if the Giants went in the division, they made the playoffs. I'm going to be disappointed in all of y 'all. To be honest, man. don be Wow. Okay. There you go. If it's if they do.

Speaker: I want two picks for this, Omar. Okay. I believe that if the Eagles are as is... The Cowboys should win this game and will win this game 31 -17.

Speaker: Okay. but but And this is a big butt. They picked up a backup QB that got cut. earlier in the season And let me tell you something.

Speaker: Zoom in. Yes. And he looked great against with Dallas. And they just cut them like a bag of sacks. Like nothing, bro. It was embarrassing.

Speaker: But don't worry. It's a Joe Milton legacy game. I think if Philly plays bad in the first quarter, And they throw Joe mother trucking Milton in there. I think he can come back and beat them 23 -21.

Speaker: And he wins this game. and shows up and shows out and says, hey, Piece of shit. you just cut You just cut your next best QB, you idiots. And he wins this game. Legacy game, Joe Milton. I'm calling it.

Speaker: I need it. Come on, Philly. Come on, Philly. We've already seen that idiot that y 'all had starting last week. I don't know who the hell that was. I don't want any. trends being started on this program so this is not happening again but Jake.

Speaker: IF! Somehow, someway. That crazy ass prediction comes true. And Joe Milton comes in and wins the game for the Eagles. I will give you two points. But right now... You're only getting your Dallas pick. You don't get a caveat.

Speaker: But if some reason that happens... i'm gonna switch it and give you two points instead of zero so i'll keep that on the ledger there as a asterisk in case i need to change that yes sir Let's move it on to our resident. Eagles fan not looking so hot over here. Because Tanner McKee.

Speaker: Looked. bad early on and, well, yeah pretty much the whole game he looked bad. ah And the Cowboys are also reeling, though. We cannot forget about that. Their defense is absolute trash. I'm sick and tired of Brian shot in the armors.

Speaker: play calling and I'm not even a damn fan. Um. But going down and and and and and taking that... ah That bta BTA. That they took. to Green Bay. I know Green Bay owes owns them. 11 of their last 13 wins, including playoffs back to 2009. But damn it, Cowboys. Put up a fight, at least.

Speaker: What do you have, Resident Eagles fan, Cool McCain? I've been pondering this Since the... ah the debacle on Sunday. Um...

Speaker: So a couple of couple of things have to be said at first. Okay. Tanner McKee should have been with the backup quarterback the whole time. The red rifle has no more ammo.

Speaker: and the gun is damaged. Yes. Very true. He did not do anything to distinguish himself. I don't know who is smoking what in the Eagles organization. sniffing work. Or smoking and sniffing what?

Speaker: to think the end they think that ten Oh my gosh. I can't say the dude's name. I'm just gonna say the Red Rifle. to do the blue game for us through on the interception. Why did you ever me put it off?

Speaker: Anyway, but Taylor McKee. played no worse than him in the preseason. Tanner McKee has played For the Eagles, understands the team, understands the players. Um, I think that McKee... is going to be...

Speaker: You'll be okay. right He'll be better than last week because we have another week of actual practice. because Keep in mind, He was not even dressing. Mmm. Right. They were dressing the Ricky.

Speaker: And then Santa McGee. Yeah, Senator set McKee and Trash Juice. So, Now that McKee has a little time, I feel like he's he's a bigger guy. So he can do some of the things you would want Jalen to do. right you can run a little bit um You could theoretically try to fish push with him.

Speaker: even when you know quarterback to these and things that you definitely wouldn't do with Andy Dalton. He's old tail. and um Man, don't even talk about Andy Dalton, man. I don't want to hear about his stinky ass, man. I hate seeing his name.

Speaker: Bro. The running game. for Philly. If... Yeah. It's two different things and it's not me trying to Because I actually agree with Jake Fuller. Excellent.

Speaker: But I think if you add to that... the Saquon Barkley thing. If Saquon Barkley plays... He's not going to have a monster game because they're going to be able to kill him. But I think he'll be able to to get some plays. He'll be able to run some.

Speaker: so some QB keepers. Or, um... what ah What does ah my stupid coach call it? RPRs? Run, pass, run. You got RPL, you got RPR. Um...

Speaker: No. So, I think you'll be able to run some of those effectively if you have... like If you're looking at Damian Pierce to be that guy for that. not so Not so much.

Speaker: um The line's beat up. What? That was a trash too. Um... I have to go with Dallas. Yeah! Dang. That's why it's called any given sacrifice, baby. Sometimes you got to go against your team. Look, I'm sorry. I agree.

Speaker: I don't think there's any way y 'all win this game. No way. You can play Dalton. You can play Jaden McKee. You can play Jalen Hurts with a blood clot. You can throw Nick. We can't do that.

Speaker: Don't do that. get me that go back and You go back and get Randall Cunningham. If we go back to Randall Duttingham, it's a blowout. Yeah. That's probably true. they're They're not winning this game. Dallas, I got a blowout for Dallas in this game, actually. Like 28 to 3. I don't have a blowout, but I have. A blowout, Professor? For real? I had 31...

Speaker: 20. Okay. I just don't see the Eagles scoring that many points for Tanner McKee as quarterback. Because we can't score but one half a game. yeah Yeah, exactly. All right, cool. So that does it for the game picks. Now let's move into our upsets and locks of the week.

Speaker: And I want to tell them I hate them for making me pick the Cowboys. Hey, you know what? that's how That's why it's the game show. You got a second place if you want to win. You want them two points? You got a sacrifice. All right. Gah! I want to get y 'all out of here. It's already almost 11, so let's go through this quickly. upset and lock of the week. We're going to start with you, Jake.

Speaker: All right. Lock of the week. I am gonna go... I'm going Rams. They're locking up. They win automatically. They're beating the Raiders. They have to win. It's a must win. They have to win this game.

Speaker: Okay, and they're what, four point? They got to cover that four point spread, I believe it is four point? Yep. Four points spread. All right, go ahead to your upset of the week. Offset of the week. Look.

Speaker: I hate to say it, but it's it's it's a spade a spade. I told you I don't trust Indiana. Michigan beats them. I think they start falling worse and worse and worse.

Speaker: Michigan over Indiana. Yes, Michigan will upset Indiana this week. I think Indiana has not dealt with the loss season. all right This is going to be it. You watch. You watch. Run the ball.

Speaker: Play defense. I don't appreciate how you misread. the fact that CFP is supposed to be plus. Ten. Not plus seven? I see you misread that. I'm gonna need you to get that correct next time. BUD!

Speaker: Because of the fact that Michigan has played so bad this year. And Indiana is so much better. That line should be more than seven. I don't know why that line is seven. And that tells you Vegas is looking at something.

Speaker: I'll give you that one Okay. All right. I'll give you. Go ahead. I'm not doing that again. Jake, you're taking too many liberties today. okay Don't come on my program taking liberties, all right? No more liberties for you after this show. I'm trying to catch up.

Speaker: Cool. but Yeah. You got no points. You're at the bottom. Cool. you got All right. um um um I'm doubling up on NFL. That's cool. Oh, yeah. Go ahead, brother. Okay, so... I'm gonna go with my upset first.

Speaker: There are very few teams that don't have a winning NFL. Ooh, where are we going with this one? There is one team specifically. that has Kevin Padoodoo Oh. as their pass game coordinator. But they're going to somehow... Stinkily slide into a win this week.

Speaker: I'm going Miami over the Jets. Miami to get their first win over the Jets. in the That's your what? That's your upset or your lock?

Speaker: upset. Okay. Again, taking liberties, people. they're only a four and a half point underdog they're not seven points needs to be seven or more But I'll give it to you because Jake did the same thing. So I'll give it to you today. They have no wins. I read it wrong. No, you're good. I'll accept it.

Speaker: No, they have no wins. So I'll accept it. Yeah, that was like the guy that wins. like Um, And... My luck?

Speaker: I can't do it. I gotta do another one. Because I forgot. So I want to pick Baltimore over Cincinnati. They got a cover. this I don't think it's seven points because. No, that one doesn't have to be. Your lock doesn't have to be centered. Baltimore will do whatever.

Speaker: yeah they just have to cover the spread that's all because baltimore um needs to remind Cincinnati. that we're the big dogs. And you're the puppy. all You need to get on the porch. There you go. It's in Baltimore.

Speaker: Cincinnati is actually a point -and -a -half favorite in Baltimore, and that's probably because Lamar Jackson is still questionable. So you might have to go with Tyler Huntley. I think you'll play. um Okay. There you go. Canteen, you're upset and lock in a week.

Speaker: All right, man. So my upset of the week, man, I'm going to go. What's the name? They hungry, but I don't think they're good enough. They're going to lose at home. My upset of the week, I'm gonna go Giants over the Texans.

Speaker: Giants over the Texans. Thank you for following the... Point spread, my friend. Unlike the other two on this program. No, I'm just kidding. All right. Giants over Texans. All right, cool. Good job there. And you're locking a week.

Speaker: I'm going Miami or Pittsburgh, man. Miami, they're gonna be too dominant, too powerful. They're gonna cook Pittsburgh. They're gonna beat them pretty good, man. All right. And you know J .J. McCarthy is starting for the Giants this week, right?

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. And you're still going with them to beat Houston. Okay. one let you Yeah, man. All right. Well, there you go. Hey, look, Houston, you're saying could be the first. 0 -4 team. to make the playoffs because they have a Their division is not very good. CJ Stroud is actually playing much better than people are. Our thinking he's playing, the underlying metrics. and because they have a little bit of a soft schedule coming up.

Speaker: So we could see Houston make the playoffs still. So we'll see what happens there. um All right. I do have one before we get to our trivia. I have one sports professor stat here. I forgot to put that. That was my bad. I forgot to put that up. Your sports professor is capped for this.

Speaker: college football crazy weekend in which we had Um... you know, five, Five upsets in the seven ranked games. The last time. That Alabama. Georgia and Texas all lost on the same day.

Speaker: 1996. The last time... Number one team. fell to unranked opponents in back -to -back weeks. which is now happening back -to -back weeks. Number two, one team failed.

Speaker: 1990. The last time. Three AP number one teams lost by October 17th. In the year. Also 1990.

Speaker: That's a long time ago man. We're three number ones going down earlier than October 17th. 1984, Ty Dittmer, BYU. win the championship undefeated season over Miami that year. Mormons over convicts, if you remember that. um And then the last time... Five of the top seven teams lost on the same day.

Speaker: Everybody do it with me. NEVER! Yeah. ever in history has that been done. So there was a lot of historical historical things done.

Speaker: This weekend. when it comes to the terms of college football. and the amount of upsets that we had. and the crazy weekend. that we experienced. I think i think everybody here would agree.

Speaker: It was fun to watch. Oh my God, it was so much fun to watch. Whoa, man, I had so much fun going back. The team's almost part of it. It's not fun anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But bit especially being at the at the place that I was at doing the live.

Speaker: go while it's going on, and Georgia loses to ah to Alabama. Right at the last second while I'm in the middle. Sorry, right. when I'm in the middle of the show going on and everybody's like, I'm talking, everybody's pointing at me. I'm like, what? I look behind. I'm like. oh and then the whole restaurant goes the whole restaurant goes wild it was It was a really cool experience. to to have that happen so all right Yeah, here we go.

Speaker: Let's move it into Jeopardy so we can get everybody out of here. Let me go ahead and share this screen for y 'all. so okay Alright.

Speaker: There we go. Why do you keep doing that? What's happening here? There it is.

Speaker: Alright, and since... Last week, we had one person on the show complain a lot. And they were saying how hard the questions were. and they needed easier questions because they weren't getting anything right. And they were behind in the standings. You know this person. They're on the show right now.

Speaker: Uh, so Jake... I went ahead and made some more easy questions for you this week. not specifically for you but for everybody and i tried to make them more current because i know you were upset for my night yeah sorry i don't listen to what happened in 1932 with y h hittle Sorry. I thought I had some tough questions. You weren't able to handle it, so we'll go to these. MORE COLLEGE - Oh! One point!

Speaker: Which school won the first college football national championship, defeating Oregon in January? 2015. remember you only get one guess So do not... Do you not make the wrong. We raise our hands.

Speaker: Well, everybody gets one guess, but yeah, you go first if you want. Go right ahead. You don't have to raise your hand. I'm gonna say Alabama. Alabama is not the correct answer. Which school won the first college football national championship defeating Oregon in January 2000?

Speaker: Good job. But I'm coming home, and see? Ohio State. The Ohio State Buckeyes is the answer. Great job to Jake there. Oh, look at you, Jake. I give an easy one and you finally get it.

Speaker: All right. For two points. Oh well. Who was the first player to win the Heisman trophy while playing for the University of Florida? Tim Tebow. Emma Smith.

Speaker: Nope. Damn it. Oh, cool. It's all you. Now, I will say this is a little bit older of a one. This is not a... recent one It would have been older than Emmett Smith. Oh.

Speaker: Oh, no. Steve Spurrier. Oh, man, that's right. deal I never would have guessed that. All right. And for three points in college football.

Speaker: In 2003, Which team finished undefeated but was excluded? from the bcs national championship game despite being ranked number one in both AP and coaches' polls at the end of the regular season.

Speaker: If I remember. Nope. Cool? Good. if I remember correctly. Uh huh. Miami. No, not Miami either. Jake!

Speaker: One guess. winma No, it was the me. I was the app USC Trojan. That's right. And they also get the F in there because I'm a UCLA fan.

Speaker: It was those FUSD Trojans. All right, NFL for one. Boop! Who was the first player in history to rush for 2 ,000 yards? Mark Allen.

Speaker: Eric Howe. Barry Sanders. oh just No, no. O .J. Simpson is the correct answer. O .J. 2003 yards in 1973.

Speaker: And he did it in this game. the The guy who cried all two a couple of years ago when Saquon was about to beat his record? OJ did it in 14, and it got it cried like a little crybaby punk. He did a 16 game.

Speaker: No, you're completely right. Yeah, that's crazy, right? OJ did that. and That's crazy. 14 games in a while. but For two points in the NFL. Which defensive player returned an interception 100 yards in the touchdown in the Super Bowl? James Harrison. Setting the record. Oh, James Harrison. Good job, Jake. with that Oh, Jake. Yeah.

Speaker: Three points in the NFL. Who holds the NFL record for the most career sacks in a single postseason? With 4 .5. J .J. Warren. Nope. Cool, this is all on you. One guess.

Speaker: Um... Michael Strahan.

Speaker: That's hilarious. Not the Mike Jackson voice. Lawrence Taylor. I can't believe Lawrence Taylor. What the hell is wrong with you? I was sitting there like I was going to say. noise I was going to say Lawrence Taylor, but I was like, Michael Strahan or Sam Fletcher. I figured that that was going to get in the way. I was like, man, this is so easy. Probably no one's going to guess it. And I was right. because i need that Look, Lawrence Taylor is going to be my first guess on any. Defensive question ever. Yeah, that's this that's my fault. Trying to be funny.

Speaker: 4 -5 points! It is the final sacrifice. Which school was the last to win a consensus national championship in college football? while finishing the season with a tie.

Speaker: accomplishing this feat in 1997. So again, One guess, think about this. they they They were the last to win the college football championship, but they had a tie.

Speaker: during the season 1997.

Speaker: Anybody remember? Go Nebraska. No, not Nebraska. But you're close. I will say that. You're close. This is going to be the wrong answer, but it's the only thing in my head right now. It's Florida State.

Speaker: No, no, no, no, but that's that's a good i got a good guess. Nope. Jake! I'm gonna go... Whoa. I'm going to go with the Wolverines. WOW!

Speaker: Wow! The Michigan Wolverines! For five points, Jake pulls it out of his ass. An eight -point trivia day for Jake.

Speaker: He called for easier questions and he capitalized on it. get it my dude look at you all right all right That's what you get for denying my points, are buddy.
