Okay, you need to pee? No. Okay. Yes, we know. Okay. Forget about it. We're starting.
Introduction to Farm RPG Podcast
00:00:23
Speaker
Hey, everybody. Welcome back to farm RPG, the podcast with me. And that guy there and also this other guy. Hi, I'm, I'm nothing. One of the staff.
00:00:40
Speaker
Yeah, it's Nethi. Nethi's with us tonight. So welcome back. You should know us by now, but if you don't, this is a podcast for the mobile farming MMO text-based game, Farm RPG. What a mouthful.
00:01:01
Speaker
You know, you got it all.
Farm RPG Evolution and Changes
00:01:04
Speaker
It is an MMO. It's listed as that. Listen, I updated my app today and it does say MMO. So it is an MMO. It is so wild to me because when, when Firestream pitched farm RPG, it had nothing to do with being an MMO. It is an MMO now. It was a direct single player game. Like there was no trading and now it's like an MMO and that is mind blowing.
00:01:26
Speaker
It is an MMO and we just hit 600,000 users. It is massive. It's a massive online multiplayer. That is a mind boggling number. It is a mind boggling number. But anyway, here we are. We're back again. So welcome back. First thing on the top of the docket is the swear jar. We're pulling the swear jar winner right away.
00:01:50
Speaker
right away. Drum roll please. Drum roll please. I think our editor can do it. Put our editor in the drum roll. We need like one of those little cut thingies. Drum roll here. Yeah, drum roll. You know, the funny part is, I don't think any of our editors are going to
00:02:10
Speaker
No, that's okay. I'm, which is totally fine. It's fine. Don't put a drum roll in now. It'd be funnier. Anyway, it's potato person, potato person. You have won the swear jar. Please reach out to me in game via DM and I will send you your, I think it's 110 gold right now.
00:02:29
Speaker
What a pittance, man. Easy, old. Easy, old. We were going to be giving out more gold. I know. We need to. OK, so here's the problem. We don't really swear that much. So. Which is wild to me because I always felt like I swore a lot.
00:02:42
Speaker
Me too. I swear a lot in real life. Too much, actually. Yeah. Maybe I swear when I type, but I don't really swear. I swear constantly. I'm just a sailor. I've never heard you swear. That's not true. That's not true at all. That is not true. I swear all the time. But since we don't really swear while talking to y'all, we should probably change it up. So I think we're going to swap it to saying, um,
Community Feedback and Engagement Strategies
00:03:11
Speaker
so there's one. Yeah. So, so any, um, any of us say that, including the one I'm saying right now to like accentuate that I'm saying, um, is going to cost an extra, I'm going to, let's do it by.
00:03:26
Speaker
10 or just do five, five every arm because otherwise it's going to be crazy. If, if other people have better ideas, we are so open to it. I really thought swear jar was like great idea. Great idea. It was not. I'm going to keep the name of the swear jar because it's better that way.
00:03:47
Speaker
Right. Well, I mean, swears can still count, but I think we just need something that's going to rack up the point. Yeah. We need to rack the points up. We want to give you guys gold because we do have a budget to give you guys. And we've been under budget, right? We've been way under budget. I barely given under any gold out for this. So I want to like rack it up tonight. So say, um, okay, that's going to be counting the, um, so that's my question.
00:04:08
Speaker
That's the problem is one of us is going to have to do it. You know, if the editor is really feeling spicy, they can help us out, but I'm not going to ask them to do that either. So if there was one, I just heard it. If again, you just did it again. You're really bad at this. Yeah, I really am. OK, if I have the time, I will do it.
00:04:33
Speaker
I will do it. I'll have to do it myself. I have to listen to whole darnation. Anyway, there's a swear. Oh wow, look at you. Just racking it up. Ragging it up tonight, boys. Look at you. Let's move on to the next segment. Swear jar has new rules. We went over it. That's good enough. And we want more ideas. More ideas. We love the community engagement piece of it. We recognize we don't always have the best ideas. Well, I mean, I always have the best ideas. Oh, shut up.
00:05:02
Speaker
But even when they don't work, it doesn't mean they're not the chest, chest. So you just love yourself. I get it. I get it. But God, God, God loves him. I'm just projecting right now. That's OK. You're good. You're good. There's another one. Another five gold.
00:05:25
Speaker
This is gonna be a fun night. This is gonna be a fully budgeted night. It's gonna be like... So who came up with the um idea because it's brilliant? Oh wait, it was me! God, shut up. This is just gonna give him a bigger head than he already has.
00:05:39
Speaker
How about you take us into the patch notes, my guy? Let's go.
Patch Notes and Game Updates
00:05:43
Speaker
Patch notes. Oh, OK. I feel like we need like intro music right here. Like some some juji patch note music. Oh, you're using juji again. I'm using juji again. Wow. I know. Isn't it crazy? Like this is like all these call back jokes. Call back jokes to episode one.
00:05:59
Speaker
I know, you know, too. You don't even remember the judge. Oh, God. Well, so glad that we had someone that, you know, listen. Thanks for listening. I do. I just don't remember. I just don't remember shoes. Thanks. No, thanks, nothing. You guys don't remember our inside jokes or nothing. Wow. Well, OK, let's talk about the patch notes. First, let's talk about how we forgot to do it last time. That was done. Hmm.
00:06:30
Speaker
There's five goal right there, but I heard it. I don't really appreciate that. That I just drug that out so that it wasn't. I think that we're going to talk about the patch notes now. I'm not going to make it all the way tonight. No.
00:06:56
Speaker
We recorded last time early April, so we did see the April Fools, but we didn't really talk about it on the podcast too much. So we did have April Fools, which is typically just some silly patch notes. Some laughs and some gaffes. Some laughs and some gaffes. We, throughout the entire month of Easter, released a bunch of different Easter eggs to find.
00:07:20
Speaker
So that was a lot of fun, probably maybe a little less involved than we've done in previous years. True. That really, definitely something that we all kind of agreed we could have maybe done a little bit of a better job on, but it was a lot of fun. I really enjoy when we release a new item and
00:07:44
Speaker
the entire game goes nuts trying to figure out where it is and how to get it. And then it is almost always some random person in chat that I've never seen before goes, oh, guys, did you know you get Egg of Life when you harvest leeks? And everyone in chat just goes berserk. And so that to me is a one of my favorite parts about
00:08:11
Speaker
leasing stuff without notes. But I also recognize that people don't love that all the time. Hmm. It's true. So there's a balance. We definitely could do a better job there sometimes, too. Yeah. Anyways, getting a little introspective here. Just thinking about dev stuff. Yeah. Just dev things.
00:08:31
Speaker
Other thing that happened is we started just very lightly working on our quest rework. So especially for those of you who have been playing in the early game might recall that you get blown up by like 35 million quests. As soon as you log in, we kind of want to make that a little less overwhelming.
00:08:54
Speaker
So one of our other admins, Tenfu, has taken upon himself to kind of start streamlining that process. And we're very grateful for that. Hopefully that makes the early, early game, especially for people who get easily overwhelmed, a little less overwhelmed. So very cool.
00:09:14
Speaker
And we've heard from a lot of people, too, like quite a few new players say they get really overwhelmed when they first start. So it's really good to, you know, get that rework in there. So the story, as we talked last time, my mom signed up for the game. Oh, my God. So I've been getting that's my. Yeah. Force past mom for her safety. I'm not revealing her username. Smart. So.
00:09:40
Speaker
You know, it's probably just forcepats mom. That'd be really funny. That would be pretty funny. Yeah, that would be really good. God. So I've been getting feedback from her. But if you're a new player and you have thoughts about things that are confusing or things that you found discouraging, please send
New Player Experiences and Feedback
00:10:02
Speaker
us feedback. Send it directly to me if you want.
00:10:05
Speaker
We changed some quest text due to some feedback recently to help explain a mechanic. That's all a part of what we love about this community and a part of just evolving as a game dev team. It's very easy to forget what are difficult experiences when you've done it a million times, so. True that. You want to talk about May? Sure. Come talk to us a lot about May. I don't know what's coming. Tell me.
00:10:34
Speaker
Nope. You don't know. You didn't read that. You didn't read the update. I know this update. I guess we're not talking. We're not talking about any more. I mean, we'll talk about this update. We're talking about the currently released the notes like the notes. I tried to get spoilers right now. I mean, man's out here. Spoilers. Dennison wants to get us a spoiler. I tried. Yes.
00:11:02
Speaker
So this month we have already have an update up, came out on the first. So currently what we were talking about, guess what? New starter pack, pretty fun one. You can get any one of the previous starter packs in the starter pack, you get one or two of one of them in there, pretty fun. It's kind of like a loot box situation sort of deal, like just random gotcha pone.
00:11:27
Speaker
sort of guy there, right? That's kind of like the mechanics people keep saying it is. Yeah, I guess that's what people call it. I never really considered that, but I suppose it's a fair comparison. Yeah, it's cool. You can get one of that mean you're getting way more gold than normal, than a normal starter pack in these bad boys. So pretty cool. And then you can, you know, if you missed one of those months, you might get one that you missed and you can fill out your, you know,
00:11:55
Speaker
Museum because otherwise, you know, you're up a path up a creek without a paddle kind of Creek. I'm just curious. I'm not going to say because I'm not adding any more to that jar today. I'm doing budget.
Starter Pack Updates and Art Changes
00:12:08
Speaker
I'm poor budget. That jar is going to be empty. It's probably going to be pretty full. Actually, I assume that we're probably at least 200 gold already.
00:12:18
Speaker
Crazy. I started rambling with the patch that somewhere. I guarantee you there were some of the probably. Yeah, definitely. So also the piece of cake. There's a cake out there. You can get a mailbox with that. More mailboxes are coming.
00:12:35
Speaker
There's two more. There's one history. They're really good. I love your mailboxes. You do such a wonderful job. Thank you. I love mailboxes. I really learned to draw a mailbox, I guess, now. It's not something I ever really thought about drawing before my time.
00:12:56
Speaker
on farm RPG staff, so I love them now. They're my children, all of these mailboxes. Well, you do a wonderful job with them. In fact, this reminds me of a question I saw. You saw a question, oh.
00:13:09
Speaker
from one of the commenters, which was, what is your opinion on using AI for generating some image? I say very strong. No, never. In fact, we have removed all the art from the game because there were like three or four items that had it. And we we decided as a team that that is no more good.
00:13:36
Speaker
fire stream personally said no more good no more good no more good i believe that is the exact verbiage i saw that was it who button this is no more good no more good i need you to redraw these pronto and i did
00:13:52
Speaker
I did do that. So now there's only art made by human beings in the game, whether that would be me or whether that would be like the asset packs we purchase from real living artists that aren't using it. And FireStream have also drawn some art. Yes, if I'm not mistaken.
00:14:09
Speaker
A lot of the like really like edited stuff is them too. So like there's a lot of stuff in here that is straight up them. Ten Fu specifically has drawn so many emblems also. So like any emblem you see is either like an actual item. It's mostly Ten Fu. And then I'm in there also. Like I've drawn it like one hundred and fifty, maybe two hundred of them. But there's eight hundred emblems. Like there's so many. It's insane. Every time I go to the page, I'm like, this is wild. This is wild. Bonkers in there.
00:14:39
Speaker
Um, I do love that word too. Bonkers. Bonkers is good. You just said the forbidden word. Did I start it? Listen, okay. I'm enjoying, I'm enjoying this both because it's making us swear and you're still so like every incident that gets pointed out is like 15 gold to be eaten good. Here's the thing is that the,
00:15:03
Speaker
that the D word, I don't think is, we're counting it to the swear jar, but I don't think we're blaming it, right? Was that like the deal with- No, it gets blamed. In chat? No, but I thought in this we didn't, because we did it on the first app. But who knows, whatever the editor wants to do. This is more work for them, sorry. Hey, we have that amazing blame sample that I worked very hard on. It took me all of like two takes. Give them an apple pie, please, our editor.
00:15:33
Speaker
If the editor hears this part and has been counting that, message me and you get an apple pie. Holy cow. There's another one.
00:15:47
Speaker
We're being very gracious. She wants to run to this budget. Just going right through it. And Apple pie is my budget. That's true. Let's talk about the you missed one part of the patch notes. I'm going to that right now. Going back to the patch notes. It's pigs. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool.
00:16:15
Speaker
Yeah, this is like something everybody has wanted the pigs to do something else. And now the pigs do do something else. You just have to feed those pigs. Feed them. Feed those pigs. Keep your pigs fed and you will get trouble. Can we finish the quest and you can, you know.
00:16:32
Speaker
Can I just say something? Yes, please. It really bothers me that you feed them and then they find truffles because that sort of feels like the antithetical reason why they would be looking for food if they're already full. But like, let's not overthink it. That's why, okay.
00:16:49
Speaker
Keeping your pigs fed means they don't eat the truffles that they find. OK, that's a fair lower reason. OK, yes, you know, that's why it's definitely that's like here's the thing is that people in real life have swapped from using pigs to using dogs because the dogs don't eat the truffles when they find them and the pigs do. So that's why truffle pigs really aren't a thing anymore. They are a little bit backwards. They're back. We have figured this out a little bit, not quite as technologically forward.
00:17:19
Speaker
Right. So feed your pigs and they don't eat the truffles overnight when they find them.
Beta Updates and Gameplay Dynamics
00:17:25
Speaker
The lore is that they're just eating the truffles and the reason that they haven't. They look kind of like that. I'm going to enshrine that in lore. Yeah, great. Thank you. That's the true reason why you don't use a pig for truffle pig anymore. Longest patch notes ever, man. Yes, they are. They're very long. So that's in beta currently. But if you're not in beta, you can receive the truffles. You just can't sell them. So there's a marketplace and truffles worth big money.
00:17:51
Speaker
Big money, big silver, baby. Big silver. You can sell them? Your big bungos are going to love the silver. They're also love not getting slaughtered for bacon. Keep your big bungos alive and they'll get you some big silver.
00:18:08
Speaker
But, you know, speaking of Big Bungo, that reminds me another person, Holy Cowie, asked what your process for naming your pets are and your raptors in the game are. I'm very curious because we all know that the Boobuns pigs are named Big Bungo. All of them. Nethi, can you go about this?
00:18:32
Speaker
What do you want to know my pets or my farm animals? What's your strategy? Tell us a little bit about your pet naming strategy. So my pet naming strategy is very complex. So I walk over to my wife and I say here, there's this cute animal, what should I name it? And she tells me a name and there we go.
00:18:50
Speaker
That's how I name them. That's actually a really good strategy, though. Yeah, that's my strategy. I haven't named any of them. She named all of them. So that's fun, though. If if you have comments for Nethi's wife on the naming of Nethi's pets, feel free to DM them about that. I'm sure that'll go over really well. Yeah, sure. Go ahead. I'll just tell you you're wrong. OK, perfect. But now my chickens and cows
00:19:19
Speaker
I've just named one chicken. He just armed. Oh. Look at you. You're adding to the budget. I did. Sorry, guys. Sorry. I mean, you're welcome. Yeah. Sorry again. Sorry again. Let's go. Yeah, my chickens. I just named one chicken. Dang it. Listen. If my cows and my pigs, I haven't named them ever. I don't have the achievement for naming a cow.
00:19:49
Speaker
You don't? Yeah, no, I don't. You didn't forget to get that one? Nope. You're just going to leave it. Okay. I like that for you. I think that that's very you. Yeah, I've never named a cow. Mr. No Trade, No Trade Gang. No Trade Gang, Nethi. Nethi. That's me. For those of you that don't know, Nethi is a part of No Trade Gang. Something we can definitely ask about in the question and answer section.
Farm RPG Birthday Celebrations
00:20:13
Speaker
I think we're about to head to that right now, aren't we?
00:20:16
Speaker
Yeah, I feel like we've dragged out the patch notes way longer than I expected because I talk too much. Both of us do. Let's be real. I mean, the first was really long, so it's fine. The first was really long. And you know what? More stuff is coming. You didn't mention that May is Farmer RPG's birthday month. Oh, right. I forgot about that one.
00:20:37
Speaker
I'm a little disappointed in you. That's okay. As the social media coordinator, aren't you coordinating the media? Why do I gotta remind you of this? Actually, there is going to be a big giveaway on Reddit from me, specifically, from the official Farm RPG. And actually, I think I'm going to do it on all of the socials. There's going to be a big giveaway on each one.
00:21:04
Speaker
Wow. Keep your eyes peeled. Whenever we announce the beginning of the event that we're having, that is when it's going to start. Can you spoil it? Can you tell us what's going to happen? You want me to tell you what's going to be in the giveaway?
00:21:20
Speaker
Maybe. Okay. Yeah. I think I can. I don't see why not. So we're going to be doing, I haven't picked how many winners we're going to have, but we're going to have a grand prize of winning one of every single starter pack that's ever been released. You get one of all of them, the grand prize, probably like five per social media platform. Then there's also going to be a number of runners up who are just going to get this month's starter pack. Like just one of them, one of the, one of the gifts.
00:21:48
Speaker
So you can get a random one. That's still huge. That's still a pretty good deal, I say. But a couple grand prize winners are going to get literally every starter pack that's ever existed. And, you know, it'll be really fun for them. You'll get to roll around and the beauty and grace of every single starter pack.
00:22:08
Speaker
I love that. That's a cool idea. Who came with that idea? I think it was both of us. I don't think it was me. That was me. Hey, that was part of my idea. No way. You're not going to steal this one for me, buddy. You ain't taking this because it was my idea to have a box that went bonkers. Yeah, I know. I just wanted it. You're just trying to steal things from me. I just want to steal your thunder. Take my glory. You can have it.
00:22:40
Speaker
That's fine. The glory. That's me. I'll take it all. I'll take it all. I want all of your glory. Give me the glory. There's another one.
00:22:55
Speaker
That's okay. I did it back to back to back. This is true. Nethi, how much you come up with our password right now? Let's go. The secret password. I've already been thinking about it. You have good. And I want you to come up with what we're giving also, but let's keep it like, you know, keep it. I mean, I have an idea. I reserve all rights to balance reasons. Yeah, exactly. So the password, are you ready? Yes. Giraffe.
00:23:23
Speaker
Mm hmm. Oh, man. That's some deep spoilers lower right there. That's a good one. I can think of at least three people that are going to be very excited. Hmm. And I can think of an entire contingent of a specific waterfowl and seriform subgroup that are going to be very angry. Mm hmm. That's OK. Anyway, what do you want to work? Yeah, I would like like just a singular piece of wheat.
00:23:53
Speaker
That's okay, right? I'm gonna have to, why don't you guys chat for a second while I take a look at something? Okay. Okay. I wasn't sure if that was okay or not. So, Nethi, let's start, let's kick off your interview while we just figure out if this is okay. Not me, just like going through stuff real quick. Just figure it out. You're good, you're fine. Listen, just do your thing. Go over there, boy, and like dig through the research. Go.
00:24:20
Speaker
So let's kick this off. How do you pronounce your username? I hate this question. I never really know. No? It was just a random generated name. You can just make it up now. How did you get it? I talked about this in the OG podcast. I know. But this is all new. But that's okay for our new viewers, for listeners. This fans got huge.
00:24:46
Speaker
Yeah, dude. Juge. Juge it up, baby. World of Warcraft, it was my first character's name. Just random, generated. In your head, how do you pronounce it? Nethi Lent. Nethi Lent. Yeah. Nethi is what I, we all call you. We all just call you Nethi. Nethi is totally fine. Totally fine. I should just take off the end there and just make it Nethi. Nethi, yeah. You could.
00:25:12
Speaker
You can do that. You can do whatever you want. You can do whatever you like. You can. That's true. Actually, you can't change your name. You're not allowed. Well, you're on staff. You're not allowed to change your name. Sorry, Matt. You can make it a lowercase n if you want to, but that's not it. No, I got an iced in uppercase for sure. Okay, cool. Next question.
00:25:36
Speaker
I feel so bad for the editor because I know I've breathed like right into the microphone. That's all right. There's another whatever. So what is your favorite part about being a farm RPG staff member? My favorite part? Yes. Dang it. Sorry, I just said the word. I think
00:26:02
Speaker
I'm dying over here. I'm just going to say like the other one right after, like I keep doing. Yeah, true. My favorite part, I guess seeing behind the scenes. I mean, there's not a lot behind the scenes, but just more direct access to the people that make the game run is nice. Dang it. Dang it. That's a tough question. Do you really feel like there's that much behind the scenes access?
00:26:31
Speaker
No, not really. I'm just curious. No, there really isn't. I like to always say that I'm just a regular player with a few more buttons. That is true. That's all most of staff really is. Like I said earlier, I have no idea what's coming in May. I wish I did because I'm excited. I love content. Content is coming. Yeah. Big event. It will be fun. I have no, don't ask me. I wouldn't know.
00:27:00
Speaker
With the event, I feel like we went over a little bit in the, there's like, in the update does say that it's going to be a big one. We're going to have, it says we're going to have all the things that we had, like.
00:27:12
Speaker
Every bonus that well, I don't know about every bonus. We we definitely that's what it says, bro. Well, to be clear, when I wrote that update, I specifically said we're going to try to have every box. Okay. That party pooper. I know big on the party.
00:27:31
Speaker
over here. Everyone hates the guy that like has to make sure it all works. We're going to have every bonus maybe. We'll try. It doesn't guarantee every bonus. It says the goal is to try and put every bonus. We'll try to get every bonus. Yeah. I'll push for it. You know what? Just vilify me. We've gone to this part of the podcast already. Villain pass.
00:27:56
Speaker
Bill and Pat is true.
Lighthearted Moments and Interactions
00:27:59
Speaker
I need you to work on your evil laugh. Do I have an evil laugh? No. Oh, that's pretty good. I liked that one. I think that was good. That was good. Oh, all right. Yeah. Look at that first try.
00:28:19
Speaker
Anyway, this is a methane interview. He's still going. He's still going. I like, I like it. I like this. Let's workshop your laugh a little bit before we get one more. Give me one more. I'm not really, I don't, I don't, I don't do this on command. So you're just gonna have to wait. Okay. If you think about it in your head for a minute.
00:28:41
Speaker
Okay, what is your least favorite part about being RPG staff member? My least favorite part? Yeah, your least favorite part. Oh, knowing the behind the scenes. The same as the first. Yeah, probably the least favorite. Just people being people, you know?
00:29:07
Speaker
You guys do have to deal with a lot of jerks. Unfortunately, our mod team does have to go through a lot of difficult customers sometimes. They are just players with more buttons, but they have to shut down a lot of nasty customers sometimes. But it's not all so bad. The community really is great. Yes. It is great. Is that the reason why you've stuck around with the game or what is it that has kept you going?
00:29:37
Speaker
i just like the game so yeah is there a specific piece that you like so much i like doing the quests probably that's my favorite do you read them or you just like you just really like hitting them no i do read them all right i don't even have to pretend i definitely read them i could complete them and sometimes
00:29:59
Speaker
I really just want to press that complete button. But I'm like, no, read them first. I got to read them. I don't need to be the first person to do this. It's OK. There is something so satisfying, though, about being like, I'm done. Right. Like everything's lined up as green. It feels good. Usually on the harder quest, obviously, it takes me a long time to complete them. So I mean, the reason it takes you such a long time is because you are a member of no trade gang. Is that correct?
00:30:28
Speaker
That is the correct statement. Tell us about No Trade Gang. How did that start? How did you become one of the founding members?
00:30:37
Speaker
Uh, so I just didn't trade. There you go. How big is your mailbox? Your mailbox is like, how big? Let's like, let's point it out. My mailbox is 15, but that's only because I have beta, which triples it. So really it's only five. So I'm never upgrading. Man has never invested in his mailbox. Love it for him. And you've completed everything in the game. Is that real? That's not real. No, I have currently two active requests.
00:31:08
Speaker
What's going on? The smell of a fun guy, you know, the truffle quest. We just got that one just a few days ago.
00:31:15
Speaker
Yesterday, I don't know. I can't, I can't get 120 white truffles in one day or two days, whatever. It's been one day, one day because they're, they're reduced right now. So maybe when they're not reduced, you might be able to, but right now they're reduced. I don't even, like, I've had it for a few days and it's, I don't even have enough to do it yet. So early access. We have the test.
00:31:45
Speaker
And then my other request, my other request is banana stand too. You've done flexible spending.
00:31:56
Speaker
Yeah, like months ago. Wow. Look at this guy. Smaller professional. So for all of you out there who feel like you have to trade to make it through the game, man, right here, sitting in this podcast has done it all. Yeah, I mean, tower 250, you know.
00:32:20
Speaker
This guy's a pro. Total pro. I love this for you. Maybe Nethi is the professional farmer. Truly. Yeah. I mean, all the traders, they have it easy. Oh, I just go get everything in trade chat. It's so easy. Roast them, bro. Roast them. It's so easy.
00:32:41
Speaker
They're playing in one easy mode. I cannot wait to hop in the spoilers chat after this particular section. Yeah, me too. A complete roast. A complete roast of trade. November 15th, that's when I completed flexible spending. Oh my gosh. Dang, man. How? That's awesome. I have a hidden. We just throw fishing nets, that's it. Maybe it'll be easier now with truffles. Maybe I'll actually do it. Hey.
00:33:08
Speaker
Are you gonna actually play the game? Is that what I'm hearing? Maybe. Listen, I finished all the ques- Oh, that's the thing I should talk about. I'll do it in tea time. But listen, I don't want to hear it from you.
00:33:22
Speaker
I don't want to hear it. Why is that? What's wrong? This is Nethi's interview. Stop interrupting. Ask him a little question. I'm just so self-centered. All I want to do is talk about me, guys. Your quests, yeah. My quests, you know, all the ideas that I had. This is a meet. This is meet time. This is meet time. This is force pad time. This is pay pitch. Force pad time.
00:33:49
Speaker
For those of you that don't know me, hopefully recognize us. We just also love razzing each other. Like me and Forest Path just razz each other, not stop constantly. Yeah. And then is a, is a, is a good friend of mine to be fair. And I also, we also riff quite a bit. So yeah, we've been playing a staff too.
00:34:13
Speaker
Staff have been playing Stardew Valley. No, we haven't really. I think we kind of started playing like, like a week before the last podcast or something. So we've been playing Stardew Valley with a couple of staff and Nethi is one of them. And you know, Forest Path is once, one time you came in.
00:34:32
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Every time to. Yeah. Hey, I have at least like 20 hours in there. There's like at least 20 hours on my timer. Everybody else has got like 40, but it's a twice a week is tough for me. That's all right. That's tough. I have other I have many things. I have many irons in the fire over here. But let's be real. What? It's true.
00:35:01
Speaker
You've been there one time. How many hours? He's been there. I've been there several times at least one time, more than three times. Wow. Well, one time when I was there then. Hmm. True. Yeah. Anyways, this is about nothing. Why is this about you? Why is everything after me about you, Buban? It's not about me. We're talking about staff do with Nethi. Get out of here. God.
00:35:27
Speaker
Oh, man. Anyways, tell us. I don't know. To me, the question that is on everyone's mind, everyone's mind, everybody. Who's your favorite mod in farm RPG? Oh, no. Who? My favorite. Let me look at the list here. Number one. He doesn't have a gut reaction. No, I don't have a gut reaction. That's interesting. I love the mod.
00:35:56
Speaker
There's a handful in there that would be at the bottom of the list. I'm just kidding. Yeah, for sure. Nothing. Number 25. There's only 25 players. No, I'm just making it over. Oh, maybe staff member. Yeah, hit us with it. It is. I'm looking at the list.
00:36:24
Speaker
Is this the part where we just sort of vamp? Yeah. We could vamp. We could talk about our favorite staff member. No one's ever asked me. I think.
00:36:36
Speaker
Well, this is going to be crazy. Okay, you guys are not going to expect this. I'm going to raise it pretty music. Right. Brace it. Brace yourself. I'm holding onto the desk. Okay. I'm going to say Jules. She's my favorite. That's a good choice. Great. That's a solid choice to be honest. Really good. Really good. Is underappreciated. Number one. She's great. She is good. Good pick. You know,
00:37:03
Speaker
In the, in, in, in fairness, we really do need to know here, at least favorite mod is. That is true. Let me see it. Let me consult the list again. This music here. Oh, and we got an, um, I've got it now. I've got it. Okay. My least favorite.
00:37:27
Speaker
Koala Corgi. Oh, because he's not a giraffe. He's not a giraffe. That's why. Giraffe. That is fair. Is that your only reason? Or are there myriads of reasons? I mean, this is your like, drag him through the mud. No, that's, that's my only reason I like him otherwise. Oh, okay. He is the staff punching bag. Let's be real. Yes, he is. But
00:37:55
Speaker
We love him. I love to. I don't pick on that much. I do. I'll go ban him right now. Let's do it. Good point. We're back. I got to find him, actually. He's not. Oh, there he is. Okay. Sorry, Koala Korgi. I did this to you. All right. There we go. Done. All right. I'm just going to sit here reloading the page. And as soon as he unbans himself, I'll just read it again. Cool.
00:38:21
Speaker
What's your, what's your chat that you just love the most though? No need to know your number one chat in the game. Where are you like to hang out? Where, where would players find you if they needed to find you in game? Where are you? Trade chat as no trade gang. No spoilers. Okay. What do you like about this chat mod? It's chill. There's a lot of in-game players there.
00:38:50
Speaker
Um, dang it. I mean, thank you. Welcome everyone. You're welcome. Yeah, it's just chill. There's a bunch. There's some questions there. I like answering questions too. I used to be in help chat a nice little bit, a little less than spoilers, but more than I am now for sure. Way back in the day before I was a mod. So if you like answering questions so much, what's the biggest piece of advice you give to people who
00:39:19
Speaker
new or maybe like just kind of like getting into the game. What especially as someone that doesn't trade like tell us like your farm RPG advice for them. It's take your time. It's fine.
00:39:32
Speaker
It doesn't nothing matters. It's just a game. So that's that's so much wisdom folks. That's like straight spitting fire. If you're not first, it's okay. Who cares? You don't need to be nobody can see it. There's no there's no log any there's no like
00:39:51
Speaker
unless you see that you're number one, that's it. Yeah, I mean, it's it's fun to be number one, for sure. Like I have a few things where I was the first person to do X, Y or Z. But otherwise, yeah, sometimes you just take your time. I love that.
00:40:07
Speaker
Man's out here spittin' some real hot takes, and I'm here for it. I am also here for it. Nessie was one of the first people I talked to in chat back in May, ye olde day. I remember when he got mod. Yeah, I was just like, yay, Nessie. Since before he was a mod. Since before he was a mod. Yeah, I used to just hang out with Tuckety. Oh, Tuckety, that's a great name right there. Tuckety, if you're listening, we miss you.
00:40:34
Speaker
Tuckety's not listening, I promise. She's probably not listening. She's bounced. I messaged her a couple of months back and I was just like, hey, how are you? I miss you. She was like, oh, maybe I'll come back at some point. But she's like, I'm really busy. I'm like, okay, well, it hasn't come back. That's okay. That's okay. Stay away. You don't have to come back. If you, you know, you can if you want to, if you're an old time player and you just happen to be listening to this for some reason, we miss you. Come back. Yeah. I love that. Hmm.
00:41:03
Speaker
Well, any other questions that you have for our boy, Nothing? I don't know. Do you have anything that you want to say, Nothing? Do you have any like... Yeah. What were you expecting us to ask you that maybe we didn't ask? We're trying to be chill. Oh. I expected you to ask what I'm working on in the game. Yeah, that's for tea time. You can wait on that. Oh, okay. That's tea time. Okay. Okay. Okay. What else? I don't know. That was about it. Okay. Look at us. Look at us.
00:41:33
Speaker
I didn't really talk about no trade gang too much. Sorry, I kind of like glossed over it. What's the details about it? I just think it's inspirational. Personally, like I haven't done no trade gang and I feel guilty about it. But like to see someone that has done it is pretty cool. Yeah, I mean, it just goes back to taking your time to like, you're when you're not trading, you're not going to be the first. That's just fact because the traders will just get everything before you. And that's okay. That's what they want to do.
00:42:02
Speaker
But yeah, I don't know. It's fine. It's chill. It's just different. Yeah, you just it's a slower pace. And I think that's how the majority of players play anyway, because they don't even chat. So
00:42:16
Speaker
It's that's kind of funny. Like in chat, I'm an anomaly, but in the overall scope of the game, I'm just a normal player. Just normal. Yeah, it's true because trade really isn't used by the majority of the game at this point. It's it's mostly people who don't trade or don't even communicate or enter chat whatsoever. And this might be the only way they even hear anybody talk about the game is listening to this podcast and listening to us talk about it. And thank you for listening, by the way.
00:42:44
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I'm talking to you. You specifically. Thank you. We appreciate it. So, but yeah, that's Nethi. Thanks also to Nethi for coming, coming on today and talking to us about his life experience. Yeah.
00:43:03
Speaker
It's fun. Should we, uh, should we have, I mean, we got, we got about 15 minutes left. Should we sip some tea? She wants up some tea. Talk about the game. Talk about, I have a, I have some comments queued up. I sprinkled a few in, but I have a few more comments queued up. I would say that our comment volume was down.
00:43:22
Speaker
from episode one. A little bit. That doesn't mean that you can't comment and ask your questions now. I can't guarantee you that we'll pick it. But we read them all. We do. Facebook. Wait, I don't read Facebook. Hmm. YouTube. I read YouTube and. You got to do the chamalema ding dong because somebody said, oh, yes, you guys really read all the comments and say chamalema ding dong. Well, I just said it twice. Whoa. Whoa. You know, that's going on the swear jar.
00:43:51
Speaker
Chamberlain, a ding dong? No. OK, we put enough at the switch. Yeah, someone likes to say the forbidden word, not me. Oh, yeah. Not all of us. If you have questions, comments, you know, please feel free. We also created a. Oh, that one. An improve loop. We created an improve loop.
00:44:17
Speaker
I will admit the last two weeks, I'm very busy with my day job. So I haven't been paying attention as much to the improve loop, but I promise and commit to you that I will do a better job at that. But if you have comments for the podcast or you want to ask your question there, we'll check that too.
00:44:36
Speaker
And I just said it again. Tarnation. You know what? We're just adding. You just said it. You said the D word too, brother. Let's go. You're just adding the money. That's all right. That's what we wanted. We didn't think this through. We didn't think this through. I think it's a great idea because maybe they'll make us say I'm less, you know, that one doesn't count because I'm saying it because I'm, I'm making a
00:45:01
Speaker
So seriously though, we love your interaction. We love hearing from you guys. The comments have all been just so wonderful. We are very, very grateful to all of you for both your interaction. I've had people message me with suggestions. I've had people message me with interactions. So thank you so much. We appreciate it.
00:45:21
Speaker
We love your messages. I get so many messages after we drop an episode saying, I love this and thank you for doing it. And I'm just saying, you're very welcome. Thank you for listening. Like, I love you. Thank you. Yeah, you are loved here by us on this podcast. So maybe we should sip some tea. Yes, let's see what we're doing in farm RPG.
Hosts' Current Projects and Interests
00:45:42
Speaker
The age old question, what are you working on? Let's start with nothing because nothing
00:45:46
Speaker
Is new here nothing. What are you working on in farm rpg today or this week or this month? Okay, good. I'm glad you broadened that to that long because i've brought it from varying things So this week, um, it's pretty chill not a whole lot going on and then boom we got truffles, so Now i'm just um, i'm just working on truffles, I guess which is a whole lot of just kind of sitting around and waiting Which is okay, you know, sometimes there's you just gotta wait
00:46:16
Speaker
Um, that's what, that's what's going on this week, um, over the month. So I'm working on some mega masteries right now. Yeah. Mega mastering. What are you, are you waiting on like a specific one right now? Like, are you working on two that I'm like the most excited about? So the first one I, if I was better prepared, I could do it right this second.
00:46:44
Speaker
and finish it for you, but I'm not prepared. It's the Concord Grape Pie. As we sit right now, I'm at $993,000. So I like it right there at the end. But yeah, so I'm right there at the end. Is there anybody that's makeup mastered that yet? Or are you going to be number one? No, there's probably about 30 or so people that have done that. Yeah, exactly 30, yeah.
00:47:14
Speaker
Then there's the other one. I've kind of kept it a secret. Oh, is this the chair? I don't know. I don't know if I should, you know, spill the beans because I'm not I'm close. I think you should wait. I think you should wait. Wait, don't tell us. OK, OK. I have one.
00:47:32
Speaker
Keeping close to the chest. Yeah, don't tell us because that's going to try to beat you. Yeah. Everyone. What do you think it is that Nethi is keeping secret for his mega mastery? Get in the comments. I want to hear it. If you're right, I'll give you 500 G, but you can only guess one time. There you go. Well, that doesn't come out of the budget. That's why. Wow. That's personal stash there. That's the personal stash. Jeez. I'm lucky that I already know it because Nethi told me a while ago. I did. Yeah, I did. OK.
00:48:04
Speaker
So let's see that. I mean, I'm just waiting for new content now content. You know, like you said, everything. Yeah. Jumping at the bed. I can't grind out some bananas if I wanted to, but I'm not really in a rush, you know, really there bananas. Those bananas are tough. I also, but I'm only on banana stand too. So, you know, is what it is. So.
00:48:31
Speaker
Cool. So that's what he's working on. What are you working on? I do want to point out, I'm sure I will tell you what I'm working on. One moment though, the password is approved.
00:48:41
Speaker
So I actually knew like a little bit ago, but I just had to check a few things to make sure it didn't break any quest progression. Singular weight. Yeah. I just want to make sure it doesn't break quest progression and make sure I don't have a categorical knowledge of how much everything sells for and whatnot. So I got to do that. That's why I wasn't sure either. Yeah. But to me, that seems pretty all right. So we're going with it.
00:49:10
Speaker
In farm rpg actually i recently got towered 250 was quite a grind and i have to say telling me really enjoyed it and obviously everyone experiences things differently but for me.
00:49:31
Speaker
I didn't look, I mean, I held Firestream with the original, like, helped is maybe a strong word, but like, I reviewed all of the Mega Masteries before we took it live. I mean, I can't remember all that stuff. Like, it's just, you know, I don't have an idiotic memory. So it was really fun for me to like, every time be like, oh, what do I got to Mega Master next? And then like, do that. So I got done with that.
00:49:56
Speaker
So now I am officially only needing to finish. And then I have also caught up on everything unless you count the current smell of fungi quest. I'm stuck on carved animals. So let that be a warning to those of you PS. Those things got me good. So you did that to yourself. I, you know,
00:50:20
Speaker
You put baby in a box by yourself. I don't plan. When I write this stuff and when I come up with quest requirements, it's not because I'm sitting here going, man, I'm going to crush that thing. You're just basing it off of the data that you have. I'm basing off some data and some gut and some impressions. And most of the time it ends up screwing me a lot harder than the prepared people.
00:50:47
Speaker
So I cursed myself at the end of the day. That's what it is. You gotta do it. You gotta do it to him.
00:50:56
Speaker
What about you? Well, I finished Pam rats and star star rat, whatever they are. I finished them both. And I only have one more mega mastery before I hit tower two 50. And it's black powder. It's black powder holding me back at two at two like two 42. Okay. I gave you a hot tip because I was stuck on black powder actually. And I was brutal.
00:51:26
Speaker
And then I discovered you can just explore for it and get it really fast. Yeah. Yeah. I have been doing that very like slowly. I'm at like 800,000. So by the time this comes out, I'll be done.
00:51:41
Speaker
You can mail it to someone to a townsfolk. Yes. It's be a dress. I have been doing that. Yeah, but I didn't want that. I just sold all of mine. Sorry to all of you. Ouch. Yeesh. Big rookie mistake. See that trade to get anyway, right? So now I'm trying to think about that stuff. Right? Look, look at that. He's thinking ahead two steps ahead of you with every return, every path. Wow.
00:52:07
Speaker
That's what I've been doing. That's what I've been doing is literally crushing out mega masteries also. And, you know, I hate masteries. I don't like them. I've never liked them. And I'm doing them because, you know, I got to I just got to do it. It's like pulling teeth, but I'm enjoying myself. Honestly, when I finished my list of like the mega masteries for the next couple of levels, I was just like, look at me go. I'm I'm really playing the game.
00:52:33
Speaker
I mean, I think if you think about what Nethi said earlier, just take your time. Oh, yeah. You may not. Not everything is for everyone. How long have those quests been out? Pam Rats and Star Rat. Those have been out for like what? Nine months, probably. Nine months and seven months. Yeah, and I just did it like in the last three weeks. It was a piece of quests, right? Yeah, it's a lot. I did them though.
00:53:03
Speaker
Look at me, but I did, I'm all the way almost through the, the truffle quest because I feel, I feel, I feel obligated to share that having finished one of those two quests, you're going to have something else to do, hopefully.
00:53:20
Speaker
Oh, there's hot spoilers right there. Hot spoilers for you. More coming. It's not super spoilery. If you hang out in spoilers, sometimes I will try to have a chat about it. And I am working through some balance stuff right now. I have a couple of people to help me with balance. So, you know,
00:53:47
Speaker
It's going to be interesting to see what people's thoughts are. Right. Yeah. I'm excited. It's pretty fun. It's a good time. So what are you guys doing outside of Farm RPG? Are you like, what's your current like, what are you playing? What are you playing that's non Farm RPG related?
00:54:05
Speaker
Are you strumming a guitar? What is this guitar strumming I keep hearing? I'm sorry, that was me fidgeting. I was just like, there's a guitar riff in here. Yeah, we've heard it for the past few minutes now. I wasn't sure what it was. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, guys. No, you're fine. I just was like,
00:54:28
Speaker
I thought someone was glitching out or something. It's okay. Anyway, what are we doing? What are we doing outside of farm RPG? Yes. What are you playing? What media are you consuming currently outside of farm RPG that is not farm and RPG related? Or it could be RPG related or farm related, I guess. It is farm related. You want to know what I'm playing? It's about to get. I'm playing Rusty's retirement.
00:54:56
Speaker
Oh, are you playing it right now while we're talking this whole time? Yes, I've had my farm going nice. I downloaded that, but I have not played it yet because I I'm never on my PC. This is a very, very chill idle game. So I definitely recommend it, but it's just chill. Hmm. That's farm and RPG related, but not farm RPG related. I like it. Exactly.
00:55:22
Speaker
Other than that, though, now I don't really have a game. I'm like hardcore playing right now. No, no, just kind of hopping around, watching anything good. I did just watch invincible. Okay, one into the show. Yeah, bloody a lot of blood in that show. Good. Yeah, it was really good, though. Yeah, I'm ready for more.
00:55:44
Speaker
It is good. It's good. I've not seen it. No, you should watch it. It's all right. I mean, don't look at anything about it. Just know it's bloody. It is really, that's a huge turn off for me not because I can't like handle it. It's just never been something that has like
00:56:02
Speaker
excited me, I guess. I like it a little better than like the boys level of like absolute like wanton violence that's in that show. It's like a little bit more, you know, cartoony, I feel like in invincible, which I can appreciate. I don't mind a little bit of blood. I like horror, though, like I'm like a horror person, so it doesn't bother me.
00:56:23
Speaker
Farm RPG is PG after all. It is PG. This is a PG game. You know what I've been watching? That's not PG. Don't watch it if you're like not 18 or over. That's a scary show. Bad. It's bad. It's not bad. It's just like violent.
00:56:41
Speaker
Yeah, that's fine. But you know what I've been watching that you can watch if you're 18 or younger, or even at any age, I guess is delicious and dungeon, which is an anime, which I don't really watch a lot of anime. But this one's very good. It's my studio trigger who did like kill a kill and a couple of the other like, you know,
00:56:59
Speaker
Very nicely animated, but it's like about eating monsters in a dungeon. Like you go into the dungeon and they don't have any food. So they eat the monsters and they like animate it. Beautiful dishes. It looks very cool. I recommend it. It's great. It's coming out on Netflix like every week. There's like a new episode. It's good. I love it. Big fan. It's just like wholesome and cute. I like it. They're just eating monsters out here. Yeah. Very cool.
00:57:30
Speaker
Well, first pass, what are you doing? Fp, get with it. Let's hear about your media consumption. I do a lot of media consumption. You listen to a lot of music. I've listened to so much music. If I'm not listening to music, I'm very sad. So wow, that's like two ums in a row. A ton of music right now.
00:57:55
Speaker
Really vibing AJJ, which again is not an under 18 band. AJJ is extremely good. So really, really loving AJJ right now. My favorite band of all time is Death Cab for Cutie. Well, maybe not my favorite band of all time. Ben Gippard in general. Ben Gippard. I mean, it's just so a lot of that. Been just recently rewinding. What did I rewind?
00:58:24
Speaker
We watched The Matrix recently. Oh, so good. And I was just struck at how iconic that movie was. And I probably hadn't seen it in 10 plus years. I love that's like a movie I rewatch like at least once a year. That was really, really good.
00:58:43
Speaker
Yeah, as far as TV shows, I've been, I watched Fallout recently, really enjoyed Fallout, speaking of bloody stuff that wouldn't typically sit in my realm. That one just, I don't know, I like Fallout since I played every Fallout game, like I played the original Fallout when I was a child-ish.
00:59:02
Speaker
So that was really cool. I'm watching Avatar last airbender again. Sometimes I just like the original the cartoon. Oh, so good. Oh, so good. Sometimes I just like go back and watch that. So I've been playing play tons of video games, slowly working my way through Sekiro. We're really, really wonderful game.

I just picked up games, man. And then I picked up another crabs treasure recently. We've talked about it in spoilers a couple of times. One of my favorite streamers played it and I just said, you know, crab souls, Sheldon ring. Yeah.
00:59:46
Speaker
uh Playing some balachro still. Yeah, i think russe's retirement. I probably play it more obsessively than that because Yeah, you do and then I don't know co-op gaming, uh, rottwood came out recently. That's a lot of fun I don't know what that is. What is it? Tell me about it rottwood is How did you describe rottwood? Would you describe?
01:00:12
Speaker
hmm. It's by people who may don't starve if you know what don't start. Oh, yeah, I like don't starve. Okay. Play likes don't start, but it kind of looks like it has the visual style action road light. Okay. game. You know, it's a lot slower pace than like a Hades might be. Yeah, it's been pretty good. It's very early access. So I've been playing that satisfactory. I've been getting back into satisfactory literally one of the greatest games
01:00:41
Speaker
So I've heard that that was okay. All right. Yeah. So my group of friends, uh, is trying to get nothing into it right now. Oh, okay. Trying to drag him in kicking and screaming. I don't know if it's screaming as much as it's like, you just like you play it and then at some point it clicks to you and then your mind just thinks in terms of factories and it's wonderful. I don't know.
01:01:10
Speaker
It is, trust me. Okay. I mean, from what I played, it is fun, definitely. But you need to play it with people, I think. I think it would be fun solo, but I think I enjoy the social aspect. Like a co-op aspect of it. Yeah.
01:01:25
Speaker
Yeah. And then, yeah, I mean, I went through all forms of media there of music. You did. I forgot to talk about a video game that I was playing. Oh, I picked up one of these. It's a play day. Yeah. With the crank on it, you know, like the little it's like a mini like like almost like a game boy and it's just going to black and white screen and there's no backlight and it's there's a crank control on the side. It's bonkers. This thing's crazy.
01:01:50
Speaker
There's like the games on it are like so many and like you get to a week for like twelve weeks or something that for free but you can also like buy some there like two or three dollars.
01:02:02
Speaker
It's wacky. I love it. I don't know if it was worth the money. It was like 200 bucks. I don't know if it was worth 200 bucks if you're not going to just sit here and be like me.
Gaming Devices and Personal Preferences
01:02:15
Speaker
So don't get one from my recommendation, but it's just a good little time. I like it. I just have been having it on my desk and when I'm waiting for something to happen, I'm just like, well, I guess I'll do this little roguelike and spin my little wheel or pour beers for a bear.
01:02:32
Speaker
It's no context. There's a, there's a game called root bear in there and you like, you're trying to pour a root beer without it overflowing for the bear. But so the head will come up over and you can overflow the cup and he gets really upset. It's like a 30 second game. Um, it's really great. I, I love it. It's very silly, but you know, I've been, uh,
01:02:57
Speaker
Speaking of like little handheld, I've been looking at that Mio or not. Well, the Mio Mini, Mio Mini and then the, the Ambernik 35XX. Yeah. I love my Mio Mini Plus. I love that guy. It's great. It's like a, it's like an emulation device. It's just, you know, I just love a handheld. Like I have all my handhelds over here. You guys can't see them, but I have them all. All my game boys. Nice. I love them.
01:03:25
Speaker
So I have the Steam Deck, right? And I love my Steam Deck to death, but it's not super great for... It's not portable. No, it's big. It's portable. But let's say I'm going to my daughter's gymnastics class. It's just awkward enough that you don't really want to pull it out. It's fine on a plane, but I would not want to be caught dead sitting in a waiting room with that.
01:03:51
Speaker
I mean, like if I go to the doctors, I'm not going to sit on a on a steam deck and have it like in my hands, like a huge TV in front of me, whereas I can have this little this little this little thing in my hand. I can just be like this. No one would know. In general, I kind of agree with you. Like I do love my seem back. But if I had something a little smaller form factor, maybe like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon.
01:04:15
Speaker
You've got to get one of those little emulator devices. They're pretty good. I mean, I just haven't pulled the trigger man. They allow emulators on the app store now. It's so meta right now. That's the meta.
01:04:36
Speaker
Yeah, you're not. You're an Android guy, aren't you? Right. I don't know. I would say I'm an Android guy as much as I switch back and forth. I love the varied experience. I believe that my next phone will be an iPhone. I think I've been using an Android phone now. The last iPhone I had was maybe an iPhone 10. Not too long ago.
01:05:02
Speaker
I mean, it was like five years ago, maybe. I've been using an iPhone and I think I'm just ready. I like to keep it keeps me from locking. Keeps it fresh.
01:05:12
Speaker
Well, but it also keeps me from lock-in. There's that sunk cost fallacy, right? True. Oh man, I could never go to Android because I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in the app store or whatever. That's true. Not like I'm very resistant to buying things in app stores because then they're not portable. This is true. It keeps me from overusing my phone.
01:05:35
Speaker
I'm stuck in Apple forever, mostly because I use an iPad and like, yeah, all the stuff on there. It's like all the other admins are Apple Appleheads. I know. I'm totally Apple pill. Yeah, me too. I think it's fine. I don't have an Apple computer and I
01:05:51
Speaker
would never own an Apple computer again. I did in college because that's what they like made us do in art school. They like made you get an Apple. And I, I swapped out at one point to like a PC and I was the only person that did it. And everyone was like, you're crazy, because everything in the whole building was
01:06:07
Speaker
Apple devices. So like I had to like still have my Apple laptop, even though I was running most of my stuff off of a big gaming desktop in college. And this is like 2000 and like four or five old, so old. I'm stupid. So, so the oldie, but yeah, well that's like it, right? We have anything else you want to go over for in the tea time here?
01:06:33
Speaker
No, I dropped a small spoiler with an endgame quest. You did?
01:06:40
Speaker
Oh, here's the thing. I wanted to, we also forgot, we're going to bring up our next staff interview will be RKM. Yeah. If you have questions you want us to specifically ask RKM, you know, there's no guarantees we're going to ask that question. No guarantees we're going to ask him. We can like attempt maybe if it's something like that we think is a good question.
01:07:07
Speaker
Yeah, I just want to put that qualifier out there. Yes, the balance guy, right? Like, I always feel like I have to qualify everything. Yes, qualifiers are important. So if we feel like it's a great question, we will ask it.
01:07:20
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. So our cam 13. So we go for that next month. The next one will be in June.
Humorous Bounty and Budget Discussions
01:07:26
Speaker
I can remember it's June. But that's okay. That's a double swear jar. I know. I knew it was happening. And I, I accepted it. I had to, that's important. Um, so I guess we're sure it wasn't a bad idea. There's going to be so many, so many, it's going to be out of control.
01:07:49
Speaker
Should we have a bounty? Have someone count them? Yeah. If the editor counts them, we'll give them an apple pie, but if they do not...
01:08:03
Speaker
We won't, and I'll have to do it. I don't give myself an apple pie. I like the idea of a bounty, but to me, the thing I'm concerned about is if I'm trying to get the bounty, I'm just saying 6,000. I'm just saying, yeah, there were like 6,340. I mean, we'll know there were that many in there.
01:08:20
Speaker
Yeah. And also then, even if there's a bounty, then we still have to count them. So it doesn't matter. I guess that's true. Putting a bounty in is not going to save us any time. I'm too trusting. I would be like, oh, yeah, sure. This guy said there was 400. That's the guy right there. That's not how we're going to play this. You're going to probably get- I'm worried that we broke the budget. I'm worried that we- No, there's no break for the budget. I wasn't told. I was told I could, you know, I'm not going to say what I was told, but
01:08:48
Speaker
I have, I have the budget for this. It's fine. One million. Do I just speed run? This is where we have to get your evil laugh again. Yeah. Thank you. Okay. Good. All right. Well, that's it. I think that's all we have to talk about. Do you have anything else boys? No, I'm good. Well, thank you for joining us and, um, bye.
