um We knew that we wanted this adventure to be a little more difficult than the standard one. We wanted it to have a purpose of getting um some spoilery items that maybe if you've been spoilers you've seen them, but if not, I won't mention them here. um And we also, oh dang, that was an um. So what what I end up doing is I use a grid system. ah So I originally started off 10 by 10 and said, ah, that's too small. So I made it 12 by 12. And then I was like, maybe 12 by 12 is too small. And then I kind of started thinking about a theme. ah So ah knowing the item that i we were going to reward, I kind of fell up on this theme of like a little bit of a riff on Indiana Jones a little bit um with the boulder falling was kind of my homage, if you will. And so to to make it an adventure though, what you have to do is you go into this little system and you have to program each tile individually, I call them tiles, you can call them whatever you want. um So you have to say like this tile connects to this tile and this tile, then you have to put text on it. um So you end up with this like giant gridded out, ah you end up with this giant gridded out piece of paper. ah And then you kind of conceptualize like, what do I want people to do to to win? And so I came up with a couple various ideas. ah the The three trials sort of like Indiana Jones,

ah some kind of a spoilery ending that everyone seems to have loved slash hated. Booba knows what I'm talking about. I do. I do. It's your like super secret. that was yeah that was fine ah And then, you know, you kind of get to the end of that. And then the way that I my creative process works at least is once I've kind of designed a number of endings, I start writing how to do it, ah like from a story perspective. And this one, I had originally planned on making it a ah very serious story, ah but I had been working on it for, I don't know, like two months at that point, and I was feeling so burned out. And I was like, I do not have the energy to write unique story that you can go backwards and forwards, seamless.

across 250 tiles or whatever ended up being. And so I was listening to some music and kind of just like going, Oh my gosh, am I ever gonna get this done? And then I just started like writing silly statements. um And that ended up being the descent into madness that you see in the maze. ah Plus, you know, a couple of references, things that I like, um and maybe a couple secrets in there too.

You, okay. i did I kind of made her play it, and her her parents also play it, but i Family affair. Firestream made a game, or not a game, a website back in 2007 called Halo Charts. And that was my jam. I love that place. That's kind of where I met. I had the first like community experience around a farmer, not farmer, see a Firestream creation. And then the only person I still talk to from Halo Charts is Milkwerk. And I had just completed a Halo challenge and I wanted to brag to somebody about it. So I sent him that.

Achievement that I did and then he told fire stream and he said fire stream said that was cool and also join farm RPG And that was in august of 21 and then I didn't decide to play until february 22 So it took me a little bit to warm up to it. I love all the little things, the little tiny like pop culture references and just like following the stories and the little nuggets and the building out of the world. um I love how excited I get when y'all changed the image for the basic cow and I'm like, oh my gosh, my world is better today because the cow is different and it's really cute. New stuff. New stuff all all the time, really. Yeah, I think my main thing is when you're whenever you're working on something, you're always making progress towards multiple things at one time. So for like the new GI quest you've got going on right now, it takes a bunch of those new really heavy resource crafts. And so I'm getting more nets while i'm because I have to explore forests and I'm getting more mastery towards new things. and so I never feel like my time is wasted. I always feel like I'm actively progressing towards one thing, even if I don't intentionally know that I'm progressing towards it. I'm still getting mastery bonus. I'm still getting silver stuff like that. I just think it constantly rewards the time you put into it. It's a great answer. That is a great answer.
