Speaker: Welcome to Ministry Moment. We are so glad that you joined us today because we are continuing our series the on the Holy Spirit. So what is the difference between the Holy Spirit? This is your favorite question to ask.
Speaker: You've been watching. We've answered this question already. Yeah, so so we got an answer for you. You got to go back to the previous question. me Go back and watch and you'll find out. That's fine.
Speaker: All right. Well, today, i know we we gave a teaser last time that we were going to get into a couple of things. But before we get into what the Bible says about speaking in tongues and all the doctrine around that, I wanted to talk just really quickly about just the Holy Spirit and what what did Jesus say the Holy Spirit would do when he came?
Speaker: Does anybody know? Put it in the comments if you know. What did the Holy Spirit... Jesus say the Holy Spirit would do when the Holy Spirit came. We're going to go to John 16. I just love the Word of God, don't you?
Speaker: It's so yummy. All right. John 16. And we'll start in verse 8. eight
Speaker: Alright, so Jesus tells them you know that He's going away and that's a good thing because the Holy Spirit is coming and he says He's talking about the Holy Spirit and says, And when He comes, He will convict the world of sin and of God's righteousness and of the coming judgment.
Speaker: The world's sin is that it refuses to believe Me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father and you will see Me no more. Judgment will come because ruler of this world has already been judged.
Speaker: of this world has already been judged There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth.
Speaker: So the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth. He will not speak on His own, but will tell you what He has heard. So He is, the holy Holy Spirit will tell us what He heard directly from the Father. Amen.
Speaker: He will tell you about the future. So in other words, when you have the Holy Spirit, He will tell you about the future, about what's going to happen. and So I know before you you finish that, so are you telling me that maybe everyone is watching that?
Speaker: So more I know and people like to make a statement that nobody knows tomorrow. Is it true or is false based on motion what you just read?
Speaker: He will tell you about the future. Yeah, that tells me that anybody can know, everyone can, anybody can know what? You can know your tomorrow. Right. And if you are acquainted or if you have fellowship or you know the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: Yeah. You know, because He reveals, because it is the Holy Spirit reveals, you know, your future, everything about your life. he He's aware for you know, what is going on around you or your future.
Speaker: So sometimes people make those statements. You see, sometimes those statements that people, some of the statements not from the scriptures. It's man's main stuff. And we believe that. And we have spoken for so long that sometimes because of the power of words has affected our life.
Speaker: And people are living a confusing life. No, seriously. yeah You know what i'm saying? So I just want to make sure that people understand this. All right? So that, right, yeah you agree? Because i ah I have the right to know my tomorrow. yeah if if i They say the Holy Spirit who tells me, will bring to my knowledge things that God has for me.
Speaker: Okay, alright. Yeah, got God will give you direction on what you're supposed to do. yeah Now, it doesn't mean that you know every single thing. You can say, oh tomorrow at 2 o'clock this is going to happen.
Speaker: But you can know the future. You can know what God plans. and And look, you see that throughout the books of Acts. yeah all through the book of Acts where the disciples knew where to go um because they had direction of the Holy Spirit or they started to make a wrong decision. The Holy Spirit corrected them.
Speaker: um He let them know what it was. wow i love I love the ministry of the Holy Spirit. So I'm excited. It's like you're preaching to me, but that's why I'll let you finish this. All right. Then next it says, he will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. so the Holy Spirit will speak to us what Jesus says.
Speaker: That means we can know the mind of Christ. We can know the thoughts of God because the Holy Spirit will tell us. what what Jesus said, what God the Father said, all that belong to the Father is mine.
Speaker: That is why I said the Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me. So the Holy Spirit is so very important um to us. And I don't I don't know how people live without the Holy Spirit, honestly, because he he guides us in everything that we do.
Speaker: yeah So we need the Holy Spirit to help us. At least I do. I'm not good enough on my own. I need the hope help of the Holy Spirit to show me things and to tell me what to do and speak to me what the Father is saying. And I can't tell you how many times the voice of the Holy Spirit has saved me from doing something yeah I shouldn't have done or making a mistake or helped me make a right decision. So um having the Holy Spirit is so important. But now you know i know, I know there's a lot.
Speaker: I told you I'm going to let you talk, do the most talking, and but I'm getting... He always does that. He tells me and then. So so are you telling me, you know, I'm trying to help some of the viewers because this is ah this is ah a big subject. It is a very profound subject.
Speaker: And because ah because the thing is that there is one people are not succeeding. When I say success or people are not living, you know, ah alive ah ah to the the fullness of life or they are not living life to the the potential, you know, that the potential, the for your full potential is because, you know, people don't know what to do.
Speaker: Right. And the reason why people don't excel, they don't succeed, or they don't live a life or that Christ has provided for us is because they don't have direction. So it is it is the Holy Spirit that gives us the direction, what to do, where to go, what house to buy, what vehicle to get, know, everything. Or what supermarket you should go. Maybe you don't go to Target or stay in Walmart.
Speaker: I'm just giving an example. You know what I'm saying? yeah Because he wants to be involved in our daily life. I'm telling you something that even myself, you know, I have to repent. And now I'm training myself to be conscious of the Holy Spirit yeah in every decision and every activity.
Speaker: Things that I do now always require wow the the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because see i want i say, Holy Spirit, if you know what is going on, or maybe you're praying for something. Especially when you are praying for somebody. Right now, I'm speaking to someone.
Speaker: but you know You've been praying for your health. You've been praying for ah you know so issues in your life. You've been praying for someone. But it seemed to me like you are not getting the answer to your prayer.
Speaker: Now, can you try this? Can you stop praying, making a decree and go back to the Holy Spirit? Say, Holy Spirit, what do you think about this situation?
Speaker: What is the way out of this crisis? And you will see. I feel like I sense that Holy Spirit will give you instruction, guidance. And the moment you apply these instructions into that situation, your miracle will manifest.
Speaker: Receive that in the name of Jesus. Receive it. Just ask these two questions and your life will become a great testimony. And you will testify of the greatness of God in your life. And the answer will come.
Speaker: because it's time for you to allow the Holy Spirit to be involved in that situation. I'm not saying praying or making a decree, anything wrong with it, but sometimes we have to pause and come back, say, what is going on here?
Speaker: You can ask honest question, Holy Spirit, ah Jesus, what is the way out of this? What can I do? And He will tell you. Yeah, and I think what you said is key because what's important is we have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. i man Some people, I've heard you know ah ah the story about this guy who took it to the extreme where he's like, I can't leave my house until the Holy Spirit tells me which tie to wear. Well, God gave us a brain to make decisions. Common sense. Yeah, common sense.
Speaker: But if we continuously have fellowship with the Holy Spirit and we're asking for his input on things, he's going to guide us um you know on what to do, on things like that. where so We need the wisdom of the Holy Spirit on how to address certain situations, on how to do certain things. And sometimes we may be, you know, on our way to Target and the Holy Spirit says, I want you to go Walmart and start. Because He has someone there, He wants to pray for us or He's protecting us.
Speaker: But it doesn't mean that every time. yeah you know It's that fellowship. Yeah, I think the fellowship, you know, there's a where there is a rich ah richness of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. For example, let let me give you ah another example from Old Testament, King Esau.
Speaker: You know, there was a king. Esther, the Bible talks about And, you know, what happened was he was, you know, God blesses god blesses him. All right. God elevates him. So he came into a place of power and he used to pray.
Speaker: He used to ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit. So he always he he's so passionate about God. Now, when he became very big, God put him in that place of power.
Speaker: And guess what? Now he has no time. to pray or require, you know, guidance from God. So what he did was he was he felt he was very sick.
Speaker: So instead of for asking, okay the Holy Spirit praying, ask God, what do what what can I do in this situation? You know what he did? He went to see his bed the best doctor.
Speaker: I'm not saying going to see your doctor anything wrong with it. Well, you have to be careful because God is very jealous about your life. He wants to be your number one. That's why you got to pray.
Speaker: Okay. Prayer is the Holy Spirit that make a prayer life very beautiful. So, so what what he did was he went to see because he now he has money. He has a life insurance. and So he has, he has a health insurance before.
Speaker: He was broke. God blesses him. Now, guess what? He has no time to pray. When he fell sick, he went to see his doctor.
Speaker: And God wasn't happy about this. And God told him, you're going to die. And he asked, why? He said, because you never but well asked me about this situation.
Speaker: So I'm not telling you not to go to see your doctor. yeah But I want you to put God first, not only in your health situation, maybe if everything. You want to make an investment, whatever you want to do in this life.
Speaker: I want you to require or the wisdom of the Spirit of the Most High God. And when you do these things, I'm telling you you can never you, you can never make a mistake. Because Holy Spirit will never, you know, guide you to make a wrong investment.
Speaker: and lose. No. When God, the Holy Spirit speaks to you, you ah you will always win. So that's why I'm trying by the help of the Holy Spirit to explain this you.
Speaker: yeah I believe that reason why this message, oh knowing the Holy Spirit is very, very important is because for so long, many of us, we have suffered for so long.
Speaker: we we We did things wrongly. And sometimes we did think we're thinking about, you know, thought about the word God is speaking to us. How many times people use God? God told me.
Speaker: No, it's your own mind. Sometimes I'm telling you, but it's about time for us to come back to ourself and get to know the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: yeah And that's why you can never. Now, if you want to hear of if you want to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, you can never neglect your Bible. it's not going happen. God will never speak anything to you or the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: He said the Holy Spirit will never bring anything to your attention without that is opposite, contrary to the scriptures. So knowing the scriptures or making a time for the scripture and stay in that place of fellowship. Okay.
Speaker: And that's that's the best place you can place yourself to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in your daily affair. Okay, of this life.
Speaker: So gonna encourage you. I think it's about time. I'm excited because I said, you know, i'm um'm how i'm I'm very hungry for this. To get to know, you know, ah Paul says, you know, my strong desire is to know God.
Speaker: You know what i'm saying? I don't know what you are hungry for, but I'm hungry to know the Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. And the Holy Spirit will will always guide you. And I thought about, you know, before I married you, I made a dumb decision in the past. I'm serious.
Speaker: So I've been a victim of doing what I'm telling you. You know, I made a bad decision in the past. And finally, you know, I said if i say, Father, you got to help me here. I was honest.
Speaker: So, and the Holy Spirit gave me your name. That's how I know that she's my wife. God gave me her name. And I asked for the who is Chelsea and the rest is history.
Speaker: So I know what the Holy Spirit can do. Can I just say, since you yeah mentioned that, so the Holy Spirit gave you my name, um which He needed my name because I gave Him a hard time. But I knew by the Holy Spirit that you were the person i that I was going to marry to because you were the first person. Because you brought me through hell. fun I have to God will let you speak to you slowly.
Speaker: I was just, did it that way. You did, you did. That's good. I love that, you know. i highly encourage you, if you are a lady, you want to get married, you can don't just, you know, be ah be be loose. Yeah, i don't go around dating everybody. You don't need to do that. Yeah, make the make it a bit hard for the guy. If he's really serious, he's going to chase you.
Speaker: I told the Holy Spirit I would rather be single the rest of my life than married to the wrong person. And I had my list of what um my expectations were for my husband. Now, I want to talk about my list because sometimes people have crazy things on there that shouldn't be on their list.
Speaker: My list was number one. He had to be so on fire for Jesus. I had to run after Jesus to stay up with my husband, number one. Number two, I knew where God had called me in ministry. And so number two is He had to have that same heart and passion to be in ministry where God had called me.
Speaker: These are the things that are important. You know, when you're looking for someone to marry, it's, you know, God calls you to do things together a couple. Does your vision match? If somebody feels called to be a missionary in Africa and someone else wants to be a finance director in Chicago,
Speaker: Not a good match, you know, mean, just common sense. But so you were the first guy that came into my life that I thought maybe you could possibly, you know, fit the criteria. But I knew, you know, I think she wanted to job interviews. The Holy Spirit not spoken to me yet. And he passed the, she passed the test. He did. Well, and the first time we met, he asked me like the 20 questions. Yeah, I did. Like, where do you see God, you know. Because, you know why? Because I know we're talking about the Holy Spirit. It's all about Holy Spirit. Because I don't want to make a foolish mistake again. don't want to go back to hell. Yeah. So I thought I'm never going to see this guy again because he was a friend of a friend of mine.
Speaker: and um And I thought I would never see him again. And so I'm like answering all these questions, just thinking we're talking about God, right? Because we both love God and he's interviewing me as his future wife and I. So anyway, but you are very persistent at asking. I was. You know why? And just kept telling him no. let me let me answer that question. Okay. Why?
Speaker: That's why if you are praying for anything, if you are praying for your health, you're praying for your finances, you cannot just pray casual prayer. You've got to be honest with your yourself. do how how How bad are you bad? at how how how much How much do you want this?
Speaker: That's why you have to stick with it. Because when God speaks to you, you you get, i don't know, it gives you some kind of ah audacity. yeah It strengthens your faith.
Speaker: Wow. That's what happened to me because I knew it was like ah the voice of go was talking in me. is You know, I thought about um the first man, Adam. The Bible said God was talking to them. The voice of God of god was speaking to them, was working with them.
Speaker: that's what That was my experience. That's why I knew that this is from him. It's not just from my own head. Which is good because you didn't get discouraged when I trying down. No, did So finally, he was so very persistent. So finally, he asked me out again. And I said, look, I'm not going to marry you. So I'm not going to have coffee with you. Listen to this. A lady is telling you that.
Speaker: Ha, ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha. Yeah, you do well. That's right. Yeah. And you you got to know from the like, so, you know, one day I was going on a walk and I was just talking to Holy Spirit. Like I said, like I didn't, I didn't think that he was the Holy Spirit and hadn't spoken to me that I was going to marry him.
Speaker: um But, you know, as I got to know him more, he was the first person that I was like, yeah, he's on fire for Jesus. He has the same heart for ministry. And but, you know, the Holy Spirit and hadn't spoken to me yet. So I was just taking a walk.
Speaker: You know, nothing super spiritual. I was talking to the Holy Spirit about it. And I'll never forget, I stopped at a park and I sat on a swing and the Holy Spirit said, what what is on your list? Look at your list. And I realized, oh, he meets everything on my list. And I knew because the Holy Spirit said, what's on your list? man And I knew that at that moment I was going to marry him.
Speaker: And so before I ever went on a first date with him, I knew I was going to marry him. So that's that. No, that's beautiful. Yeah. Well, I think we should know because he says now let's go back to the scripture. I know.
Speaker: I know. You know, I'm seeing that we are we are sharing with you our own life, how we we but we're not preaching something to you that we don't experience ourselves. And and i can I just say, so yeah it is among that yeah but no it but we did develop a friendship. yeah Now, and can I say, ah not intentionally on my part, um but you were everywhere everywhere i went. It's the Holy Spirit's orchestrating everything, so she cannot escape. You know, that's it.
Speaker: Hey, trust the Holy Spirit. That's it. Yeah. So anyway. All right. So back to the Word God. No, let's go back to the school. I know you said, you said the Holy Spirit will tell you what what he have heard from the Father. Yeah. Okay.
Speaker: And the Holy Spirit will reveal to us the future. I'm a good listener. I'm listening to you what you're preaching. Well, thank you. Well, it wasn't me. It was the Bible. That's good. So I love this. Yeah. all right All right. So now, so that was the Holy Spirit for us. But at the beginning of the scripture, um i love this because it talks about what, what, what about people that don't have the Holy Spirit?
Speaker: Because we know that if you're not born again, you can't be filled with the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit still has a role to play. Yeah. So the Holy Spirit in the world, again, at the beginning of the scripture, it says that, that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin.
Speaker: That is the role of the Holy Spirit. Now remember in the in the book of Romans, Paul says no one is without excuse because even nature testifies of God. No one is out of s excuse excuse because the Holy Spirit is in the world convicting people of sin. People know that things are evil and wrong. I mean, like, don't kill someone that's evil.
Speaker: There's the Holy Spirit to convict us that that's wrong and the goodness of God to draw men to repentance. So the Holy Spirit is working in the world to draw people in. But that's different than if you're a believer and you have a deposit of the Holy Spirit. So there's, and I want to start to get into this. I know we're almost out of time, but the Holy Spirit at salvation yeah and being filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit. What the Bible says about the Bible explains that is two different experiences.
Speaker: And you can see that as you go through the book of Acts or in the Bible. And i so I just want to explain it this way because I was like, okay, Holy Spirit, how Can you explain the difference between... Because there's a work of the Holy Spirit in salvation because it's the Holy Spirit that draws you um into salvation. So when you get saved, what happens?
Speaker: You become a brand new creature, right? yeah that's So what salvation is, is building the new house. That's what it is. I think it's 2 Corinthians 5, verse 17.
Speaker: I'm going to give, the im gonna I know since you said that, because i know what she's beginning to tell you, is to, it is, ah we are laying on the foundation of about what we're gonna step into, yeah you know, praying in the spirit.
Speaker: 2 Corinthians 5, verse 17, right? Yeah, it says, this means anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. Amen. The old life is gone. a new life is begun. Yeah. Has begun.
Speaker: So that's King, what is it? New Living Translation. Okay. I think King James Version says, therefore, if any man or en anybody be in Christ, he is, he is. Wow. i need to preach about that. He is. You are.
Speaker: or a new species, new creature. Okay. All things are passed away. Say, behold, see, you are not who you used to be. You are a brand new creature. All things are become new.
Speaker: That is the key. I think the key for salvation is to see, behold. You know what i'm saying? So that has been people are still blind. That's why they're still trying to live their whole life.
Speaker: You know, because they are still subject to their physical body. And so that's another they talk. So, you know, when the Holy Spirit the holy spirit why reveals to you that you are a new creature in Christ Jesus. yeah Wow, what a testimony.
Speaker: Yeah. So when you become a new creature, it's like, Brand new. Building a brand new house, right? The house is completely built. So there's no past. There's no past.
Speaker: It's a brand new house. Okay, it's present and future. Never existed before. Wow. And it's built brand new, um completely washed, righteous, right? The old man died. It's a brand new. So there's a brand new house that's been built up.
Speaker: Now, when you're baptized with the Holy Spirit, that's when the Holy Spirit comes and lives in the house that was built, right? So that's there's a difference there between receiving salvation because that's when you become brand new.
Speaker: That is the work of salvation. yeah You become a brand new person. Baptism is when the Holy Spirit comes to live inside, dwell, fill to overflowing rivers of living yeah um water into you. So that's what we want to start getting into on the next next week.
Speaker: So going have to come back next week because we're going to go through the entire book of Acts. We're going to show you examples of people getting saved and then the separate um experience of baptism. We're going to show you in scripture where it talks about being baptized in the Holy Spirit, different from salvation.
Speaker: ah And we'll also just talk through um what is praying in tongues, is praying in tongues for today? What are the gifts of the Spirit that are out there? Are those still for today? so Join us again next week. But honey, do you want to pray for us? Yeah. Yeah. So so we're going to pray for you.
Speaker: You know what I'm going to ask? You know, this prayer is going to be life changing. and you know, I'm going to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what is going on with your health, your finances.
Speaker: May God give you dreams. prophesy to you, even as I'm speaking to you, I'm prophesying to you. May the spirit of the most high God. reveals to you things that need to be revealed so you know what to do in that situation.
Speaker: In the name of Jesus, I release the peace of the the Almighty to rest upon you. May God's Spirit overshadow you.
Speaker: May God's spirit that lives in you give life into your mortal body. I take authority over a that cancerous cell.
Speaker: In Jesus name, I command it to come out of your body and stay out in Jesus mighty name. And I decree and declare over your mind, I rebuke anxiety, depression, oppression in the name of Yeshua the Christ.
Speaker: And I decree, i speak over someone, I speak over your finger. yeah your hands right now it's like you are dealing with for arthritis yes i command the pain to live in jesus mighty name and i decree i speak peace over your body every bones come into and like alignment in jesus my name and i speak to every nerve every muscles every organ your entire body to be healed in jesus mighty name so right now
Speaker: what you couldn't do before. I'm gonna challenge you, begin to move your hands, begin to move your feet. Someone, God is healing your swelling knees right now in Jesus' mighty name.
Speaker: It's so big, it has swelling. That swelling is leaving your knees now in Jesus' mighty name. And I decree and declare that divine health is your birthright. Receive that now in the name of Jesus.
Speaker: Someone, you are and the in the crossroad and you are about, you're thinking about making a decision. Don't be discouraged now. The Holy Spirit going to speak to you. You're going to hear the voice.
Speaker: The voice is the Holy Spirit. going to speak to you. We'll tell you what to do in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, receive whatever you need.
