Introduction and Mickey's Halloween Highlights

00:00:18
Speaker
Welcome to Nightmare on Main Street, where it's Halloween every day and the pumpkin reeds are always lit. This is episode two, and I'm half of your host, Dan.
00:00:29
Speaker
And I'm the co-host, Michelle, and we have a real treat for you tonight. We're going to talk about Mickey's not so scary Halloween party treats, news, ride births and deaths. All right, let's get into it.
00:00:42
Speaker
Yeah, this is going to be a great, great show, I think. I always look forward to all the slightly ridiculous food options that Disney puts out. Well, let's be serious. I mean, let's be real. Most of the Orlando parks put out ridiculous Halloween food. It's supposed to be simultaneously appetizing and kind of creepy and gross. so Yeah. They were very creative this year. They really were. Yeah, as as Michelle said, we're going to talk about our top picks for the treats that we're most excited about for Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. And yeah, some of them are pretty weird. Pretty strange. All right. So let's ah let's start. Would you like to start with your topic?

Unveiling Disney Villains Land

00:01:30
Speaker
Yeah, so we can start with some news. So as we all know, the D23 convention happened. And they made a lot of huge announcements for the Disney Parks. And one of the biggest ones that we're excited about here is the Villains Land. That's going to be located beyond Big Thunder Mountain. And they just released some concept art, which we're very excited about. So they revealed two major attractions. One well looks like a Maleficent coaster. And then another one in the front of the concept art shows like a cavern.
00:02:02
Speaker
with some waterfalls coming up over it. And there's roller coaster tracks inside the cavern. So there's a lot of speculation of what that ride might be. A lot of people want easement cronks, pull the lever cronk ride. A lot of people are saying the Hades pool of souls ride. So there's a lot of different speculations out there. I'm not really sure what to expect, but it's exciting.
00:02:30
Speaker
It's really exciting. I have no idea what to expect. That concept art is super cool. It's super dark. It's super detailed while at the same time not being detailed at all. There's a big castle there and I don't know whose castle that is, but...
00:02:47
Speaker
I know it almost looks structurally unsound, so they're going to have to figure out maybe like ah a way to like make it structurally sound, but make it look all crumbly and like it could topple at any moment. Kind of like the floating islands in Pandora. That's exactly what I was thinking. Yes, they somehow made that look like they were floating. So I'm sure they can they can do it. I mean, I buy it every time I go. I'm like, wow, those are floating.
00:03:14
Speaker
And I look for, I look for the connections every time and I can never find them. Right. They're, they're very well, well done. I marvel at it for about 15 seconds and then I waddle over and get a night blossom ah from what is it? Pongo Pongo. Yeah. yeah ah and Yeah. But no, the, the concept art looks awesome.
00:03:39
Speaker
One thing that I find really interesting is just how dark and creepy it looks. I mean, they have this like night sky, so it's probably going to look wicked cool at night. I just wonder how it's going to look during the day under the, you know, blistering Florida sun. It's like you said, Pandora is similar. Like during the day, it's not as impressive. And then you go at night and there's the bioluminescence in the ground and it just looks a lot more impressive.
00:04:07
Speaker
Right, did you go when they first opened Pandora? I did. And they had, it wasn't for very long, but I remember they had the lighting way lower at night than they do now. Yes. And people kept tripping.
00:04:27
Speaker
It looked cool, but maybe a safety hazard. Definitely a safety hazard. So, yeah. Oh, well, RIP to the really, really dark Pandora. Anyway. Yeah, i'm I'm really excited that we're finally learning what's, quote unquote, beyond Big Thunder Mountain. They kept, he you know, kept kind of teasing us with that phrase for quite a while, um sort of blue sky stuff. But now what is it going to be? Cars back there and villains land and
00:04:59
Speaker
I'm excited about Cars because I have not been to Disneyland, and I've never experienced Radiator Springs, so that will be new for me. Absolutely. I love Radiator Springs Racers. It's one of my favorite rides. Cars Land is one of my favorite things Disney Imagineering has ever done, and that's coming from somebody who's... Yeah, it's it's coming from somebody who's not a huge Cars fan. Well, since having a toddler, I'm more of a Cars fan, but...
00:05:26
Speaker
You used to curse cars and now you're like, I kinda like it. You did change your tune once you had a toddler. I absolutely did. i was I was the opposite of a cars apologist for a while there. He's a changed man. I am, I am. Kachow.
00:05:48
Speaker
Kachow. Kachow. Okay, so do you wanna give one of your news stories next?

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney World

00:05:54
Speaker
Yes, I have great. Yeah, we'll go ahead. I have some interesting, exciting for me at least food news, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, which was a Disneyland staple.
00:06:07
Speaker
I got to try it when I was out there a few years ago. It's at the opposite end of sort of the far end of downtown Disney. It's just this little kiosk. They had all these gnarly corn dog flavors, the gnarliest being the pickle dog, which is an all beef hot dog. It's wrapped Literally wrapped in a dill pickle then they fry it then they roll it in like panko panko I don't know those bread crumbs and then they serve it with peanut butter and now All of us Disney World people can enjoy that as well The peanut butter is what gets me The peanut butter weirdly works. Yeah It's interesting Okay. I also thought a street corn corn dog which looked very
00:07:00
Speaker
Very interesting to me, good. Yeah, i didn't I don't remember if Disneyland had that one. I don't know if this is like a boardwalk special. Oh, OK. By the way, it is located over at the boardwalk, kind of near Disney's Swan and Dolphin Resorts. But yeah, I don't remember this one. OK.
00:07:19
Speaker
but it looks good, it's that jalapeno cheddar sausage instead of your all-beef hot dog. They fry it up, they top it with garlic mayo, corn kernels, oh boy, here here comes another botched pronunciation, cotija cheese, and cilantro, which is basically just devil weed to me. You hate cilantro? I don't like cilantro. You're one of those people that it tastes like soap? It doesn't taste like soap, okay it just tastes awful. Okay, fair enough.
00:07:49
Speaker
Nothing sudsy about it. It's just gross. You just hate it. So street corn dog with no cilantro. Yes, I can't diagnose what's causing my hatred of cilantro, but I just don't like it. But yes, no cilantro. And then they have the golden dragon, which looks really good. It's more of a traditional Korean corn dog where they fry up an all beef hot dog. They roll it in bread crumbs and then they give you some sriracha mayo and this sweet chili sauce. So looking forward to trying that when I get back out to Disney World. They also have a ton of different lemonades.
00:08:26
Speaker
Anyway, I could go on and on about this, so I'm gonna stop right there. You have to try one of each and then come back and report how they are. Oh yeah, definitely. I will do that. Maybe I'll put it on YouTube if we ever get that going. yeah I'm still trying to figure out how to get us on Spotify. Hopefully, if you're listening to this on Spotify, my wish has come true. Success. Yes. Hopefully. Hopefully. All right, let's move on.
00:08:55
Speaker
Okay, so next I have some Disney Cruise Line news.

Disney Destiny's Maiden Voyage

00:09:00
Speaker
So we're going to the the Seven Seas for this one. So Disney announced a bunch of new cruise ships. I think it was four more cruise ships that they were adding. And they announced that Disney Destiny's Maiden Voyage will be leaving from Fort Lauderdale on November 20th, 2025.
00:09:20
Speaker
It will be a four day cruise where they stop at Castaway Key, which is Disney's original private island, which if you've never been there is beautiful. And then they're also stopping at their new private island, which is Lookout Key at Lighthouse Point. So that's exciting. I've never been there. I'd like to go there. um But this ship has some cool new features. They're going to have a Hercules Broadway style show. Oh, wow.
00:09:46
Speaker
which I would love to see. Yeah. Big Hercules fan. And then they're going to have a Pirates themed pub. Oh, I know. I know. And then a Lion King main dining room and a lounge called the Sanctum, which is going to be inspired by Dr. Strange. Oh, that is super cool. I love Dr. Strange. Yeah. And I feel like they can make that look pretty cool. my My mind has a picture of it and it looks cool in my head. So hopefully they call through with that. that would That would be really nice. And then the Pirates theme pub, I'm surprised that it took them so long to to get some pirates on the ocean, but I'm excited about that one too.
00:10:36
Speaker
Right, that's a great point, like they have Pirates Night. Yes. Every, I think it's, do they have Pirates Night every cruise? Yes, because they have the Pirates Fireworks show on every cruise. Right, but no Pirates of the Caribbean. No. Just like Pirate Mickey. Yeah, yeah, just, I feel like Captain Jack Sparrow's there, maybe. Okay. Actually.
00:11:03
Speaker
See, I'm a Disney Cruise Line noob. I've never been on a Disney Cruise. One of these days that's going to have to change. I've been trying to convince Dan because I'm a big Disney Cruise Line fan. So he's going to try the Halloween on the high seas eventually.
00:11:24
Speaker
That is the dream, one day. Probably on one of the older, cheaper ships, but still, the Disney Magic, literally. Maybe it will be that ship. I was gonna say the Disney Magic will be present nonetheless, but it might actually be the Disney Magic that I end up sailing on. The original ship. Yeah, that sounds that sounds nice and cheaper, sheepish. The Disney Destiny will probably be be out of the price range for a while, until the next big ship comes out.
00:11:54
Speaker
Fair enough. I did hear, a I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that Disney purchased one of their new ships halfway through the build. Yes. and Okay. I did hear that. Yeah, and because of that, it's just a totally different layout than most of the Disney cruise ships and a lot of the eateries are There's something happening. Like the the middle of the ship is very open is what I heard. So they're having to kind of improvise with that. I'm not sure what ship that is, but I did hear that. Yeah, I'm not sure either. But yeah, interesting stuff. Okay.
00:12:33
Speaker
I have one more news story to touch on.

Donald Duck's Hot Ones Celebration

00:12:37
Speaker
So this year, Donald Duck celebrated his 90th birthday. He's getting up there. And he was actually a special guest on the YouTube series Hot Ones. I did see this.
00:12:52
Speaker
You did see this. Yeah, I recently watched the entire episode. it's It's pretty funny. It's classic Donald Duck. He's trying all the hot sauces. I'm not gonna say much more about it. Just go watch it. it's It's interesting and a nice little, just a nice little Donald Duck experience. For all the Donald fans. Yeah, I'm a big Donald fan. Hard not to be. Except when he's driven mad by hunger.
00:13:21
Speaker
reference to episode one. Yes, see episode one. All right. So let's get into our Disney ride, births and deaths, birthdays, death days. Let's talk about that.

Indiana Jones Stunt Show Anniversary

00:13:40
Speaker
Okay. So shall we start with the birth? Let's start with the birth today. Okay. Let's go positive.
00:13:50
Speaker
Starting on a positive note, on August 25th, 1989, Indiana Jones' stunt show was born. Happy birthday to Indiana Jones. Happy birthday, yes. So I'm slightly older than the and the Indiana Jones epic stunt spectacular.
00:14:12
Speaker
I have seen so many videos over the years. First off, it's a really cool show. But second, I've seen so many videos over the years of Indiana being run over by that giant boulder. It looks horrifying.
00:14:26
Speaker
They use that clip a lot to make it look like something went wrong without context, but I do. Is it the same clip? like Am I just being tricked? like it's It happened once, but they play it like 50 times. I'm like, it happened 50 times. It's just the same one over and over. yeah Maybe I'm gullible. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Indiana Jones, Epic Stunt Spectacular. oo That's a long title.
00:14:52
Speaker
All right, let's move on to death.

Closure of Ellen's Energy Adventure

00:14:57
Speaker
So in memoriam,
00:15:01
Speaker
on August 13th, 2017, at Epcot, Ellen's energy adventure passed away. Never to be seen again. No more egregiously long pre-show with Ellen and Jamie Lee Curtis.
00:15:20
Speaker
No more animatronic dinosaurs. I have a really funny story about my wife and that ride that I won't tell. I have to get her permission first, but maybe maybe I'll tell it later. Yeah, I'll get permission.
00:15:35
Speaker
okay but it was really you know It sounds like I'm making fun of it, but there i do I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for the universe of energy in general, because you know Ellen's Energy Adventure was not the first iteration of this ride. It was supposed to be sort of a hip, topical update that ended up you know not feeling that way after a while. but
00:15:59
Speaker
I always had to carve out 45 minutes to go into Ellen's, but oh yeah it was a good way to kill some time before your dining reservation. Right. Like if you were waiting on a fast pass or just generally sick of being in the Florida sun and you just wanted a nap, you could go in there and just sort of pass out. That's the place to go. Or you could stay awake and learn about science.
00:16:28
Speaker
That's true. I didn't consider that. I don't think a lot of us considered that. Sorry, Ellen. Rest in peace, Ellen's energy adventure. I will miss the uncanny valley looking Ellen animatronic fighting off the dino. Isn't that the first thing you'd see when you'd come out? Oh, maybe. Yeah, maybe they yeah maybe they hit you maybe they they hitch you visually with that right out of the gate.
00:16:58
Speaker
I don't remember the ah timeline, but I think she was like fighting a dinosaur. Yes, yes. Lost to the mists of time and YouTube. I mean, you can just YouTube it. That's a good point. Nothing's really dead anymore. Yeah.
00:17:14
Speaker
Well, rest in peace, Ellen's energy adventure. Okay. So that's pretty much all I have as far as, uh, births and deaths tonight. We may cover some more there. There were a lot of deaths in August. We may save another August death for next episode, but for now I can't handle much more sorrow.
00:17:38
Speaker
So shall we move on to our future presentation?

Top 5 Halloween Treats Countdown

00:17:41
Speaker
We shall. Let's talk. Mickey's not so scary. Halloween party treats. Awesome. All right, so we're gonna do our top five, and we're gonna start with number five and work our way to number one, starting with the treat that, you know, obviously we're excited about all five treats that we're gonna mention, but five is maybe the one we're least excited about working our way up to the number one, the one that, you know, we're not gonna leave the party without. It's just not happening.
00:18:16
Speaker
So let's see, maybe I'll start this time since I think you started off the last list. I won't put you on the spot. Make you go first again. Okay. Okay. So Nikki's not so scary Halloween party top five treats. So number five,
00:18:36
Speaker
is going to be the mini witch hat. I'm really intrigued by this one. It just looks really cool. It's this little purple pyramid on top of this flat purple disc with this chocolate. I guess it's white chocolate, Beau, but it's a chocolate cookie with peanut butter mousse. They have milk chocolate. and Oh, boy. Ganache. Ganache.
00:19:02
Speaker
yeah promise i swear I promise I speak English. And buttercream. It looks really good. There's not a lot to it, but sometimes, you know, that's all you need. I love what Disney tries to do with food. I love all the experimental food and wine stuff, but sometimes I don't need like spicy foam and reductions. Sometimes I just want a chocolate cookie with peanut butter mousse. It's a classic combo.
00:19:31
Speaker
Exactly. So that's my number five, the mini witch hat. Okay. My number five, I did not go simple with this one. I picked a super complicated one. So I right i picked the goulishly gourmet burger. This is found at the Plaza restaurant.
00:19:52
Speaker
Oh, yeah. So this is something that's available during regular part park hours too, but it is exclusive for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party season. Oh, I'm looking at it now. Wow, that's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot. So it has two beef patties, pepper jack, Swiss cheese, candied bacon, balsamic glazed mushrooms, onion ring, and truffle buffalo aioli.
00:20:22
Speaker
And it's served on a black bun. The Halloween component is the black bun. Of course it is. There's a lot of black buns this year sandwich-wise. What makes them black? I don't know. I mean, food coloring maybe? I don't know. Probably. I know Burger King did that for a while and it caused interesting digestive issues. That's all I'll say.
00:20:46
Speaker
I don't know if Disney's probably I don't know if Disney's perfected the recipe. Probably not. We'll see. Someone report back to us. What's your what's your digestive status after eating the ghoulishly gourmet burger? Yes, please. Please leave a public comment describing so we can all see it.
00:21:07
Speaker
so yeah that looks interesting wow so balsamic glazed mushrooms truffle buffalo aioli that's the part that got me because i would love to dip a fry in truffle buffalo aioli that just sounds so good to me yeah that's uh I, you know, I've had a lot of truffle ish things in my life, whether it's a truck. I don't know if I've ever had a truffle itself. I've had things, you know, lightly dipped in truffle. I don't know. I've had truffle hyphen, whatevers. Is there like a truffle taste or is it just one of those things? Like, does it deepen the flavor of what you're already eating? Or is there like, does truffle have a taste?
00:21:49
Speaker
So I believe truffle has a taste. It's kind of earthy and mushroomy. That's probably not a great description to people with highly developed palates, but that's what it tastes like to me. It's a better description than what I was coming up with. And one more thing.
00:22:10
Speaker
I would never recommend to waste precious party time on a sit-down restaurant. So definitely go to this restaurant and get this burger outside of party hours. That's good advice. Every second there is gold, in my opinion. Absolutely. Okay. Moving on, just had to say that. Yes. And we can get that at the Plaza, you said? Yes, the Plaza restaurant.
00:22:38
Speaker
All right. Let me go back. Cause I didn't, I didn't tell anybody where they could get the mini witch hat. Oh yeah. You can get it at the main street bakery, AKA Starbucks. There you go. Okay. Okay. So moving on my number four, we're getting a little bit weirder, maybe a little bit fancier.
00:23:02
Speaker
If you go over to the Golden Oak Outpost, it's sort of near where Frontierland becomes Adventureland. It's the little kiosk behind Pico Spills. So many like forks in the road as far as pronunciation tonight. I always say Pico Spill, but now that you say that, it does have an E in it, doesn't it? Yeah. I think I've been saying that wrong my whole life. I don't know. We're going to have to We're going to have to look into this. Okay. So at the golden Oak outpost, my number four, you're going to find sweet and spicy beignets. So they're like little. So for those of you who don't know, um, I just learned this not too long ago. No shocker there, but beignets are like little donuts, little deep fried pockets of bread.
00:24:00
Speaker
So you definitely have that deep fried goodness with these, but these are sweet and spicy. So you've got berry and cayenne dusted beignets with chicory coffee chocolate sauce. And it comes in a little dipping cup beside it. It's not drizzled on top. You have to dunk the things.
00:24:19
Speaker
I feel like those are gonna be really interesting. I don't know, it comes with three according to the picture. I'm not sure that I'm gonna eat all three. I don't know, I just wanna try it. It seems really unique. That sounds amazing actually. Yeah, it feels, it kinda sounds like it could work. Sweet and spicy. Yeah, so I'm pretty excited about those. Yeah, Tiana's man stealing beignets. Oh yeah, she's just dressed them up for Halloween.
00:24:51
Speaker
Okay, my number four is pretty basic. So it can be found next store to my number five. This one's at the Plaza ice cream parlor. It's the caramel apple sundae. So this one's only available during the Halloween party. So definitely stop during the party. So this is Dulce de Leche ice cream topped with caramel sauce with apple pie filling, cinnamon candies, and whipped cream.
00:25:18
Speaker
Honestly, this is probably something that I could make at home, but I love the cinnamon apple representation of fall flavors rather than pumpkin. So I'm here for it. Right. It's sort of a, yeah, that there's not, I mean, pumpkin is is king or queen. Pumpkin is the pumpkin's royalty. So yeah, it's nice to see some appley representation. The cinnamon candies are really interesting to me.
00:25:43
Speaker
Yeah. Those little red candies. Yeah. Red hots. Yeah. Red hots. Yes. Yeah. I know. I thought that was a fun spin on it. Actually, I kind of hope they're not red hots because aren't red hots like super hard candy, like you, you let them dissolve rather than chew them. Oh, you're right. And then put on ice cream. That would be really hard to chew. Right. That would be okay. Maybe not red hots, but probably that same flavor.
00:26:13
Speaker
Do you like rocks on top of your ice cream? Yeah, don't do that, Disney. That looks pretty good, though. um Dulce de leche ice cream sounds really awesome. Right? I've never had anything like that. I don't think I have either, but it sounds like it goes goes together well. It sounds very Carmel-y.
00:26:36
Speaker
Yeah, it sounds almost savory. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe you could pair it with the sweet and spicy beignets. Ooh, eat them all together. Yeah. Mm, that would be interesting. OK, so let's move on to my number three. You could argue that this one's kind of basic. And it is, but there's really what makes it interesting to me are the toppings.
00:27:06
Speaker
So we're going to go over to sleepy, hollow refreshments. And we're going to get the hand dipped corn dog. And it really does make a difference if something's hand dipped. I mean, it it really, it adds to the the flavor because, you know, I grew up on like frozen corn dogs. Those may have been hand dipped at one point in the distant past by a machine.
00:27:30
Speaker
by a machine, but not recently. So hand dipped corn dog with spicy violet mustard and spicy cheese flavored snacks. Oh, like a Flamin' Hot Cheeto. Yeah, I feel like that was a copyright dodge on their part, but it looks like Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Oh, that sounds amazing.
00:27:52
Speaker
Just like they can't use a certain phrase to describe delicious little sort of and cylindrical potato snacks, they call them potato barrels. Potato barrels, yes. You'll find that on all Disney breakfast menus. Yes. Are tots? Is that copyrighted? Maybe. Interesting. It might be. Okay, I got off topic. Now we're going to get sued.
00:28:18
Speaker
I said she goes and talks. I know. We're going to get sued once someone actually listens to this podcast. It's true. If you're a lawyer, turn it off. Yes, please. Yes, but I am actually excited about this corn dog with the because I don't know is the spicy violet mustard. Is it just spicy mustard that is violet like the color? I mean, it is. It is violet. But is there like an associated earthy taste with it? Is there something more or is it just purple mustard? Because I had that in the late 90s. They had purple mustard.
00:28:56
Speaker
Oh yeah, yeah, it was a big part of my generation. We had like purple, well wait. It was, I know we had purple ketchup. I think we had some sort of color. Maybe we had green mustard. Anyway, it was not your normal color. I don't know, it was like extreme or something. I don't know. I was into it at that time. Maybe they're bringing it back for this corn dog. Maybe. Shout out to the 90s. Yeah, the 90s were pretty great.
00:29:27
Speaker
OK, that's all I have to say about the hand-dipped corn dog with spicy violet mustard and spicy cheese flavored snacks.
00:29:35
Speaker
So my number three is over at Storybook Treats next to Winnie the Pooh. And this is the Drizella and Anastasia cones. I have a two for one here because I feel like they go together.
00:29:50
Speaker
Yeah. So the Drizella Cone is a blueberry soft serve with vanilla crispy pearls. But I'm more excited about the Anastasia Cone because that is strawberry dole whip and I will eat anything dole whip. And it has lemon curd and strawberry popping candies. So I thought this one sounded like a great combination, strawberry and lemon.
00:30:17
Speaker
That sounds amazing. Heck yeah. right and It has a little picture of Anastasia on it, which I think is cute. I see that. yeah they're both like yeah yeah i see them They're both headed somewhere. They're like in motion on these little chocolate pieces. Make your ice cream cone extra ugly. yeah No offense. No no no offense. That's sort of one of their character traits. right I don't know. yeah It's who they are.
00:30:46
Speaker
I was always confused though, because when you see them in the parks, they're usually played by like, you know, usually very, very pretty young ladies. I don't know. So I was always confused by that. It is a little bit. No. Well, this one is only available during the Halloween party. Oh yeah. Okay. So if you don't have a ticket, you're not getting it. Get a ticket.
00:31:17
Speaker
Don't try to just walk in there and think you can get the stepsister cones. You'll have another thing coming.
00:31:26
Speaker
All right. So my number, what are we at? Number two. Wow. We're going quick. Number two. I know I did two similar things in a row, but I'm not ashamed of it. This is just who I am. Is it another corn dog?
00:31:41
Speaker
Well, it's it's ah it's a dog. Yes, it's a dog. So we're going to walk over to Tomorrowland. We're going to walk past the abandoned Stitch's Great Escape. um We're going to. Yeah. ip We're going to sidle up to the lunching pad.
00:32:00
Speaker
And we're going to get the jalapeno popper dog. This is an all beef hot dog and it's topped with sriracha cream cheese, crispy onions, bacon and Hades relish, which I don't really know what Hades relish is, but it's probably hot. So I'll like it. That sounds good. I hope it's blue. It's not just spicy. It's green, weirdly enough. OK, just relish colored.
00:32:28

Yeah, it's it just looks like relish. Oh, OK. That's good, too. It's not a Hades aesthetic, so I'm guessing it'll be like a Hades fiery heat. Honestly, that's even better. Yeah, it should be good. All these flavors look like they're going to complement each other really well. And this is one that's going to be available during regular park hours as well as the Halloween party. So you don't need a ticket for this one. You can just go get it. Right now.
00:32:54
Speaker
You can just walk up and get it.
00:33:00

okay My number two is found at Pico's. Bill, tall tail in Pico's maybe. um so This is the grilled masa flatbread. so This has a grilled corn cake. It's topped with butternut squash puree. and Stay with me here. Braised chicken.
00:33:24
Speaker
Sorry, Dan, cilantro pumpkin seed sauce. You're out. Gross, gross. Shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and queso fresco. So I don't know if this would taste good. I'm going to be honest, but I like the creativity and this is a gluten free option, which I love. It's a very creative one, so I would eat it. Bonus for Celiacs.
00:33:49
Speaker
Hmm, that is interesting. it I mean, there's a lot going on there. I'm looking at the photo of it and there's a lot on there. I mean, there's there's a lot of roughage on there. There's also- I can't imagine. Go ahead. No, I was gonna say there's also a little tiny skeleton, like in the picture I'm looking at, like a little tiny skeleton laying beside it. So either he's lethargic from enjoying the food so much, or he's like pretending to be fully dead so he won't have to eat the sandwich. I don't know. Or flatbread, whatever.
00:34:20
Speaker
That would be you next to it, right? That was an attempt at a joke. that's That skeleton is Dan laying next to it when he smells the cilantro. Maybe. so This is an exclusive to the Halloween party. so I can't imagine the grilled corn cake would hold up to all those toppings, but I'm willing to give it a try. Yes, this might not be a ah handheld
00:34:48
Speaker
Masa flatbread. You may have to get the fork and knife. Let's all use good manners. And the napkins. The napkins, please. Elbows off the table. Yeah, don't do that. All right, that looks pretty interesting. OK, are we at we're number one now. Number one. Number one. OK, so my number one. The thing that I have to try at the party.
00:35:19
Speaker
And it's an exclusive. So you can only get this one during the Halloween party. So we're going to go over to the Pinocchio village house. We're going to look out the window at all the people riding. It's a small world. And then we're going to order the creepy clam flatbread.
00:35:39
Speaker
This flatbread looks so gnarly. Yes, it's really it's so interesting. So it's got bacon. It's got black ink pesto, Romano and collab, Calabrian, Calabrian Chile. I only. I cannot believe that's your number one.
00:36:01
Speaker
That's my number one. I have to try this. Uh, and, and the black ink pesto, I'm not certain if they actually used, you know, squid ink or if it's just made dark in other ways. And they're calling it that either way. It's something that I have to try. It just looks super weird, but it also looks kind of good. It's definitely unique.
00:36:25
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's very photo worthy. I feel like you can freak out your friends. We need you to post a review on Instagram of that one. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, that that'll that'll happen because I have to document this. OK, so my number one that I cannot miss is actually something that's available during regular park hours, which feels That feels controversial, but it is the Dole Whip Mango and Chamoy Float at the Aloha Isle Refreshments. That sounds great. Right? and so It's Dole Whip Mango, which I foreshadowed to this earlier because I love anything Dole Whip. You did. That's true.
00:37:16
Speaker
with pineapple juice, chamoy, and chili lime seasoning. So any form of dole whip, I think it's the most refreshing Disney snack out there. When you're physically melting from the Florida heat, and then the sweet and spicy, it just sounds sounds perfect.
00:37:35
Speaker
I do. I do. um I think I'll probably have to try that one as well. I do love a good dole whip. Now, I am interested because you say you like everything dole whip. Do you like the soft serves that sometimes come alongside the dole whips like in something like. ah Well, I guess this one, never mind. I was going to say tropical serenade, but I think that's just soft serve with like pog juice. But I don't know how you feel about the soft serves like the vanilla that you can get with the pineapple twist.
00:38:05
Speaker
Yeah, or the coconut soft s serve, which is my favorite. I've actually never had the coconut, but I love the vanilla. OK, right on. Yeah, I like I like a good blend. So I really like the tropical the tropical serenade over at Aloha Isle because it has that coconut soft serve and then the famous Disney pog juice. So I can't believe I've never had that. Yeah, you should you should try it. I mean, it's it's good stuff. So we will be posting reviews of both of our top number ones on our Instagram.
00:38:36
Speaker
So check that out. Yeah, you can watch me eat creepy clams. I think clams in a theme park is a bold statement. I think it's taking a major risk. We're going to I think I'm going to eat it towards the end of the party so I don't get sick. We said we don't want to miss a single second of the the Halloween party, so. Yeah, I'll be reviewing it at eleven fifty eight.
00:39:05
Speaker
Disney, this shows how much trust we have in you. I mean, theme park clams. Well, so like, like, you know, table service clam chowder, I'm not worried about. But quick service, like if you're handing me clams through a window. My trust level goes down. That's how I've always felt about Columbia Harbor House. Yeah.
00:39:30
Speaker
I like it, but I feel like I'm rolling the dice eating there. I don't know. Yeah, depending on what you get, I mean, you know, I would always get the chicken tenders from there, so. That's a safe bet. I always felt very safe and secure. I'm going to order the clam flatbread, but could I substitute chicken tenders for the clams? Well, then it wouldn't be the creepy clam flatbread anymore. Yeah, I'm not i' not very fun.
00:40:02
Speaker
You're fine. You're fine. All right. Well, that is it for our list. Feel free to comment on our Instagram. We're probably going to have a post about this stuff. If not this week, uh, you know, when we do the actual reviews, I'm going to be at the party in mid September. I hope to go first week of October. So Right on.

00:40:49
