Garganeza. We've got 31 questions sent in as we didn't we were unable to record a Q and&A last week so please bear in mind some of these have been edited and re-edited but we've got 31 questions and I'm joined as always by Karlo Garganeza so let's start with the first question which has been sent in from Misakulikyan who says

Is it possible for a Vlawic zikze swap in January? Like, Vlawic is a Yekhiresh-esque striker and Mota gets his guy in. The valuations are almost identical around 40-50. The wages united would handle it and Yuba would handle Zikze's current wage, which is about 10 million gross. Dushan earns 22 million gross. Thoughts and feelings. And of course, Yuba has to get an additional player to support the attack because Milik is a mythogical mythological being and not a real person and does not exist in this plane of reality.
00:01:08
Speaker
ah Regardless, this issue must be solved on boat by both

sides. Well, Carlo, what do you make of this? I think a swap deal with Manchester United, one player you know with the players changing clubs, I don't see that happening. I think that's very, very unlikely. um I'm not sure if there's any real interest at all from United side or from Ruben Umarim in Wlawic, to be honest with you. I think he's probably too similar a profile also to
00:01:43
Speaker
to to Hoyland, who they already have. um So I don't i don't see yeah i don't ah don't see that happening.
Juventus's Strategy: Vlahovic and Arsenal's Interest
00:01:52
Speaker
um What I do think is is a possibility, though, and it's a story I've been working on a little bit myself for a few weeks now, is that I wouldn't say it's impossible that Juventus could could sell Vlovich if the right offer comes in um and as we've discussed on this show there isn't really much interest in him so that's going to be difficult but Arsenal are a club that are being heavily linked to Vlovich. They need a striker and they're looking potentially for a striker in January. They're also a little bit desperate because they don't have a ah ah real natural number nine and
00:02:31
Speaker
and that that that scores goals and they're having to play Kai Havertz this season as ah as ah as a nine and then he's he's obviously not a nine and so they are looking for someone and that desperation for someone might make them more willing to sign someone like Avlavich who is somebody that they tried to sign the the January 2022 window that the Juventus signed him. Arteza is a fan or was a fan, certainly was a big fan then so I wouldn't rule out Arsenal potentially coming in for him and if the maths all add up for both but both sides, and then using that money to for Juventus to then go to Sainzilixi from Man United, I mean that could be a loan, ah possibly to start with, it could be a loan.
Manchester United's Internal Issues: Impact on Transfers

with an option or but or some kind of obligation if certain standards are met. um That, I think, I wouldn't rule out. It's going to be very difficult because you know you've mentioned some of the numbers there, lots of dominoes have to fall into place, which happen even from the United side. They also need to make a final decision. Kia Jarabchan is going to meet with United in the next days to discuss Xerxes' ah future.
00:03:43
Speaker
going forward. United need to tell Jarabjian and make the decision and final decision, yes, we will let him go in January. And they have a lot of stuff going on at United, like Marcus Rashford just yesterday, we're recording this on on Wednesday, just just said that he basically said he wants a new challenge, basically said he wants to lead United in January.
00:04:05
Speaker
um He's just admitted that so he wants to leave. Ghanacho is not happy and but is open to leaving as well. um So you've got two unhappy players there. Then you've got someone like Anthony already who's a disaster and you know United would probably like to leave and let him go but that I'm sure they won't be able to get rid of him.
00:04:22
Speaker
um So you've got a lot of other strike attackers and strikers that the want out already. and They can't all leave, so United need to make a decision. and So there's a lot, it's a complicated situation.
Challenges in Selling Vlahovic and Acquiring Zirkzee
00:04:34
Speaker
um But do I think it's going to be a swap? No, but no chance. But do I think that is a possibility that you inventors ah could sell Wlawicz in January and then bring in Xerxes as a

replacement. To that I would say difficult, but I would say it's not impossible.
00:04:56
Speaker
What ah sounds like quite a little mess, um as is now, well not now, as has always been the case when Kiarash Durobchian is involved. um It's a quite a little merry-go-round and he He has a knack for his players always finding themselves in in these situations. um I think his move to United, I said it at the time, I thought it was a huge, huge mistake. I think he should know he had no business going there. He's not a Premier League player. He's never been. He's not quick enough. He's not explosive enough. enough he's he's I just think it was it was stupid of him to go there.
00:05:35
Speaker
um he should have gone to Juve. I think that should have been what Juve should have pushed for. Juve should have pushed to sell Yvlawic in the summer and bring in Zirzze. That's my opinion because he knows exactly what Tiago Mota wants. They have worked together. Tiago Mota made him explode under him.
Premier League Dynamics and Juventus's Striker Needs
00:05:55
Speaker
um So that was a huge mistake by Giuntoli, I think in the summer. um And I think I agree with everything you said, re what can happen, but I think given you know I don't see Marcus Rashford leaving in January either.
00:06:11
Speaker
um I think he's going to run out of his contract or leave in the summer. um His contract just these contracts long. He won't run out of his contract. I thought it was in the June, sorry, pardon. yes sister no They stupidly gave him his contract after that 30-goal season. Oh, you're right. Yeah, they did, didn't they? Yeah, yeah I thought his contract was expiring in in in June. um but It's just that you're not in a difficult position. You come out and publicly say, I want to leave the club now.
00:06:39
Speaker
You do know what I mean? But again, I think Rashford will have the same same situation almost with Wlawicz in it. He's on like stupid money, like £325,000 a week. How many clubs in Europe can afford that? Like you can count them on ah on ah on a few fingers. And then, you know, the form that he's in and the money... Which is why I think he'll stay in the Premier League. It's basically... Which is why I think, yeah. I think it's Saudi Arabia or you'll stay united, to be honest with you. No, I think he's going to stay in in in in England. I think he's staying in the Premier League.
00:07:08
Speaker
Premier League proven striker. So he'll he'll the the the prep the prem faces are salivating at the prospect of of of paying a lots of money for for for Ashford. And I don't think he's going at 27. He's going to to Saudi Arabia, especially given what he said about the World Cup, wanting to play and in the World Cup for England that he still thinks his peak is ahead of him because he's only 27. I mean, I read that whole interview that he did.
00:07:38
Speaker
um with Henry Winter, I think it was. um So, which was interesting in and of itself, but that's a separate topic. um But regardless, I think um do you think that Rashford will stay in in in in in England. I think he'll stay in the Premier League, and I think that's what he wants, um too. And I think, you know, fair enough. ah But just to get back to Zierkes there, huge mistake for him to go to to a United, huge mistake for him to go to the Premier League.
00:08:07
Speaker
Juva should have moved heaven and earth to get rid of Wlawic and bring in Zirikze. Swap deal with Zirikze Wlawic. Yes, it's difficult. um But I think as as January 30th approaches, ah people get desperate. And when things we've seen before, when deadline day approaches in the middle of the season, crazier things have happened.
00:08:31
Speaker
ah But I do agree with you that maybe Arsenal will finally get that, make that, you know, sign him, which is what they wanted when you've got him. and And maybe that can in turn unblock Zirkser to Juva. But regardless, I think Zirkser is the perfect striker for for you for you for this Juva. He's exactly what they need. And I think he would unblock and unlock and potentially he would and unlock and unblock Tiago Mota's Juventus attack, but also by simply also masking a lot of the the the problems that we've discussed a lot in this pod about Juva's attack.
00:09:05
Speaker
um simply because of the character and style of player that he is.
