Speaker: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the World of Aeon Stories of Legend, Episode... twenty two which you guys just heard in the title sequence welcome back guys we have it recorded in forever at least it feels like my god it's been so long we're losing it specifically long time yeah they know crack specifically though safira really in truth has it recorded long time and as you guys know mave's back yes i'm back bitches
Speaker: That's what we'd like to hear. All right. Y'all, we've been dealing with technical difficulties today. Just trying to get started. Hopefully that doesn't portray into the episode, but we are running late and we're excited to get into the story. So we're just going to get right into it.
Speaker: So
Speaker: Last time as we had joined our adventurous party as they are on the rescue mission to find and save Maeve Strongheart. Talira and Rennie.
Speaker: Talira and Rennie? What am I saying? Talira and Calden. MJ and Rennie are both in the world of Aeon now. Oh, yeah! God damn it. yeah Oh, my We made it. ah Anyway. Okay. Okay. Okay. i Y'all got me all fucked up.
Speaker: Not sorry. Talira, Calden, and Yellen reunited as Talira and Lou finally caught up after having to abandon Eric Strongheart at the sight of someone he seemed to have recognized having set him off, leaving quakes around the city of Undor for days to come.
Speaker: After a little bit of a run-in with a member of the Mordifer Pactum, one named Addy Cartel, managed to get a little bit of whereabouts about where Maeve may end up being. And to their surprise, the promise maybe wasn't exactly what they were expecting. In fact, they had to stay overnight in a tavern and await the opening of a portal in which supposedly would give them access to Maeve.
Speaker: There were some strong conversations to be had in the course of waiting as We haven't had downtime in a while with the party. But eventually, portal did open. Maeve come bursting out of it before you get just a glimpse of Reninzo, the blue tiefling, before it closes up suddenly again as Maeve looks up into the eyes of Yellen and asks, where's Calden?
Speaker: I think we just need to get right into it. What do you guys think? Let's do it. Let's Let's As we set the scene, you are up and past the rooms down into a basement storage room of this tavern, which is surprisingly bare for how busy you saw the tavern earlier.
Speaker: We have Lou, Talira, Yellen, and now Maeve, having just joined, sitting in the middle of this this basement room, stone all around, wooden supports for the ceiling.
Speaker: And surprising calmness, as the portal has now gone, the crackling of it disappeared. You are just left in the room now, suddenly and very, very surprisingly reunited.
Speaker: Maeve is unconscious, correct?
Speaker: we We had Yellen heal her.
Speaker: Maeve! Oh my god. Calden, he he got us to you and this is not a safe place for him. he um he had to get to safety, but so we'll find him.
Speaker: Okay, so he wasn't taken as well? No. Okay, um, Maeve looks around. are Are you okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I'm gonna... I'm gonna need some bandages. Talira, do you know... Can you get me some three three bandages? And something to tie my hair up, because it has been down on my neck, and I don't like it.
Speaker: Uh, yeah. Here, and Talira will just... She'll rummage through her pack. Do we still have healers' kits? I believe Yellen has one currently.
Speaker: Cool. When you look at Maeve while she says this, physically, she may not quite look as she says. she is She is damaged to say it lightly. So damaged.
Speaker: She is slightly more rested than she might have been previously, and this is more for you, Maeve. So the bags under her eyes are still there very much, but they are not as bad as they maybe were. But physically, she looks rough. She has new scars in a lot of different places.
Speaker: Cut marks that have not healed, burn marks that are are still have boils on them. It's looking a little rough. Now, it does also look, though, that portions of her of her flesh have magically healed and look also pristine in spots, as if maybe the process was interrupted at certain points.
Speaker: No, I'm... Okay, I just need to get this hair off my neck. um Maeve, I'm sorry to... i He looks down at himself.
Speaker: Doctor's orders. You get to lay down. Here, I'll put your hair up. And Talira will grab a strip of leather or something that she would have from her pack.
Speaker: She would have some kind of thing to help tie hair back. Her hair is short, but... There'd be some kind of leather cording I'm sure she would have um and help tie up Maeve's hair.
Speaker: You would notice that it's it's full of caked, cooked blood. just It's so matted. So full of blood. That's just cooked. It's not just like, yeah, crunchy, baked on blood throughout all it.
Speaker: just coagulated. Yeah, heated. Heated. Maeve would lie down, I guess, awkwardly. I'm hip.
Speaker: Yellen's going to pick you up and is going to start walking upstairs. Yellen, what I got it. It's fine. Oh, this is... She just rests into him a little bit, feeling a bit... I think she's just too tired to do much of anything.
Speaker: But while he does pick her up, she she mentions to him, can you can you do the thing where you can see magic, that spell?
Speaker: You want me to scry? No. No, the one where you can... Like, detecting? Yeah, detect magic. Of course, yeah. and I definitely can. let Let's get you upstairs, and then I'll i'll i'll do whatever you need.
Speaker: Okay. And she just kind of rests her head back on his shoulder. And he's going to carry her back up through the door, and as he's walking through the little lobby area to get to the stairs to the room, she's going to say, ah One more night. we We need the room for one more night. Thank you.
Speaker: The stairs for the tab for go down into the actual tavern area are on the, you go up these stairs, you see all the rooms and then you go down a different set of stairs on the other side to get to the tavern. gotcha. Okay. My bad. Like a roundabout way to get to a storeroom behind the tavern, essentially.
Speaker: As you guys are like coming up the steps and into the hallway, Calden actually rushes out of his room holding Maeve's sword. Maeve!
Speaker: Calden!
Speaker: She... She's okay. she Well, she's alive. A thumbs up. She can... Come on. and She um but you can stay in my room.
Speaker: Yellen brings Maeve places her down on the bed, and he's going to run downstairs to grab like a large bowl of hot water. Yellen, when you go down the stairs to go grab a large bowl of hot water, you can't help but notice Eric Strongheart happens to be sitting at the bar top.
Speaker: Sir? Yeah, you're awake, I guess. and Yep, I'm i'm awake. Total, we're waiting on a portal to open to go save Maeve. Everything all right? You look panicked.
Speaker: Yeah. Um, um, well, um, here, I take the ball of hot water. We've got Maeve. I've got this. I'm going to clean her hair and you should probably come up. He pushes the chair back. You can hear the skirting of it suddenly and he stands up.
Speaker: You have Maeve. You've already saved her. ah Yes, we. Leave me. but Of course. Yep. Follow me. He goes upstairs. What's happened in the meantime in that short interaction? Talira is, while we're getting Maeve situated in Kalden's room, Talira is going to have put pillows under her, make sure she's comfortable, and see about getting her some water.
Speaker: Maeve's looking very uncomfortable not to the fact that it's just the attention and and everyone trying to comfort her. just She's not used to it, so she doesn't really know how to react to it. So she's just kind of like awkwardly staring at everyone.
Speaker: Kalden's also kind of quietly just standing there, who looks kind of sad. Do our rooms have adjoining like bath areas or is that a separate space?
Speaker: In the area. Inn. In the inn. In the inn. Um... I hadn't thought of that. That's actually a great question. this It would probably be a room you need to get a key to. It'd be like a shared a shared space for the tavern that you'd just have to go get a key to. and Just an old place, not a lot of room, so one of those things that they would have only probably one or two of.
Speaker: I'm going to go ask about a buff. Good idea. And walks out. As Calden walks out, you walk past Yellen, leading Eric Strongheart up to the room hurriedly.
Speaker: Calden, she's back. She's back? She is um I think she's going to need some space for a while. I'm going to get a key so that she can bathe.
Speaker: oh Yeah, yes, of course. Okay, I'll keep it short. Him and Yellen walk into the room, and Maeve, you see your father for the first time in a few days. Maeve automatically tries to stand up. Like, automatically, as soon as she sees her father just, like, jump up into standing position.
Speaker: Maeve, lay down. Maeve, don't hurt yourself. I'm fine. You've done the job. It's just... She just sits. shes She still sits up, but she's just sitting.
Speaker: Sits back on the bed. Hello, father. Maeve, are you alright? Yeah, yeah. It was just nothing I couldn't handle. His... his brows scrunch a bit as he kind of looks at the floor for a moment.
Speaker: Looks back up to you. Ow.
Speaker: You... you continue to amaze me. I am your daughter, after all. I guess that's true. I never wanted you to have to use the skills that I taught you this often.
Speaker: But I'm proud that you've... I'm proud of you. You survived again. Didn't even need my help. Of course. And trust me, one of them looks a lot worse off.
Speaker: Glad to hear it. Worry to be having children anytime soon.
Speaker: ah And he laughs for that moment, but then kind of step in again. You don't need to push yourself so hard. Rest when you need it, like right now. Let your friends take care Yes, sir.
Speaker: That's what they're there for. she just She just nods and just kind of looks to the ground a little bit. Will do. I'm sorry that you had to come all out this way.
Speaker: Don't you apologize.
Speaker: I'd do it again and more in a heartbeat. I know I've been tough on you, but you're still my daughter at the end of the day. She just nods and keeps looking at the ground. Thank you.
Speaker: He begins to turn and walk out, having promised to keep it short. I'll be downstairs if you need me. And Maeve, your mother wouldn't be proud of how I've raised you, but she would be proud of you.
Speaker: Little um tear kind of forms in her eyes, and she she keeps looking down. She's like trying to fight back the tears, and she just nods again. Get some rest, little girl.
Speaker: He walks out. Thank
Speaker: you. And she kind of sits there looking at the ground a bit more. Yellen, can you do that s thing? I just need to make sure that I have no tracking spells on me, just to make sure that you all aren't in danger at the moment.
Speaker: Of course. And I will detect magic. Do I detect any magic? No. I think well that's certainly not true.
Speaker: We are riddled with magic items. Okay. The magic he's looking for. He just he does not find any of the magic that he is is looking for. you ah it You definitely detect magic on the people around.
Speaker: Like Talira's axe burns brightly. But as far as with powers of warning. Yes, indeed. But as far as looking for something on or within Maeve that be it lead to you thinking something as far as tracking or something foreign, you don't find anything. I think you're all right.
Speaker: Okay, good. Good to hear. Yeah, of course. Yellen is going to take off the armor that he's got put on and roll up his sleeves. And he reaches into his bag. And from what you guys know, Yellen takes pretty good care of his hair.
Speaker: It's important to him. So he he brings out some stuff. He's got like a comb and everything. Here, lie back into this water. I'm going to take care of your hair. That's all right with you. Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Speaker: And she just does what she is told. And he's going start freeing Maeve's hair from all the blood and everything that's in it. So, where are we? We're in Andor.
Speaker: Okay. I see. Not the greatest place, but this is where we had to come to find you. How did you guys know that I would be here?
Speaker: A lot of different things went into it. We tracked some people. We scryed on you. And, um... Someone helped us.
Speaker: It wasn't easy, but I'm glad that we made it here in time. would be a bit awkward if you didn't. Yeah, no kidding. Do you need anything, Maeve?
Speaker: Possibly ah just the bandages and um maybe some clothes. um I think looking down, this would be the first time she's you notice that she's not wearing anything even armor related.
Speaker: She's just in kind of just thin pants and a shirt and she looks quite small. Normally in in her armour, it just gives her more of a larger-than-life persona, but at this moment you do see that she's she's just she's small, she's just a girl at the end of the day.
Speaker: Calden walks in like, right around then. Well, you might be able to fit into my pants, but I don't think my shirts will work for you if Yellen has something that you can borrow. I've got a few extras.
Speaker: Maeve, there is a bath if you'd like to get more cleaned up. Yes, that that might might be a good idea.
Speaker: i ah i think I've made your bed a bit gross. It's fine, i don't sleep much, so... Yeah, that's link I guess we share in common at the moment.
Speaker: Do you want Lyra to help at all? Um... I can stand guard outside the door. Okay. Yeah.
Speaker: I will need those bandages, though, just for my legs and... Of course. And you said Yellen had healer's kit, which would have bandages in it?
Speaker: Cool. Keldon also has one. So, we're good. Local medical professionals. Talira, if Maeve would want, can also take a look at her leg and bandage.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. it's She needs other parts bandage too that Talira probably couldn't. Because Maeve has boobs. And boobs without anything supporting them. It's very annoying.
Speaker: That is true. It's very annoying. Okay. Maeve just kind of looks up to Yellen. She's not really sure if he's done or not.
Speaker: She just stares at him. I'll be done in a moment. um I just got to get one of these big clots out and then you're good to go. That is disgusting.
Speaker: It's as adventurous. I feel like maybe blood clots and her hair are a occupational hazard. Not embarrassing in the slightest. he's gonna She puts like an awkward thumbs up. He gives one back and he he finishes up and he says, ah all right, you're set.
Speaker: Thank you. yeah She sits up and she slowly stands up. She looks to Kaladin because she doesn't really know where the bathroom is.
Speaker: Hold the pants. He has since grabbed the pants. Yellen will have to grab the shirt to deliver. So he's holding the pants. Says, I'll show you where it Yelen, do you mind grabbing a shirt so she has that?
Speaker: Of course. She's done. He goes and he grabs one. And he starts leading her to where the bathroom is. You lead Maeve down the hallway to just a plain door.
Speaker: It's normally locked. Just has a little, little plaque on it that says, bath. Pretty simple. As you walk in, it's just a tub. Does have a faucet as a door while being old, as you all have seen, having been down in the sewers, you've seen there's new construction areas. They are constantly renovating certain areas of the city. And so that sort of thing does exist here and you're able to start a bath pretty easily.
Speaker: Did you grab both of my swords? Or just one? Sorry, I only managed to get the one.
Speaker: That's okay. One is enough. Shit, I need to get that dagger back from down... the fuck. Is it a special dagger? It will be.
Speaker: i have to return it to someone, I guess.
Speaker: I'm glad you're back.
Speaker: Thank you. I'm glad to be back. A very fun adventure. Yeah. I bet.
Speaker: He gives her one of those little sad kind of smiles where your lips, the like corners of your lips just sort of like curl up really fast.
Speaker: A pathetic form of a smile. Maeve just kind of avoids eye contact. she She's struggling to do a lot with her own emotions, so her eyes are just kind of wandering to anything else, everything else.
Speaker: And ah she goes, a well, um I'm going to go get naked now. I'll go ahead and leave then
Speaker: Um, that would be appreciated. Have we gotten the shirt yet? Yes. Yellen, Yellen delivers a red shirt. Okay.
Speaker: Then Keldon puts the shirt and the pants on like a chair. We'll be, we'll be here. And he leaves. thank you.
Speaker: I'm right outside if you need anything. Just yell. Do you have the bandages? Of course, yeah, they're right here. And Talira hands them over too.
Speaker: Thank you. um I'm going to go and boil my skin alive. Enjoy, and I will be out shortly.
Speaker: She takes a bath. right you you see You see her lift off her shirt and them chiseled abs. Oh, God. i I'm not the person to know. I'm not that guy. um And it fades to black.
Speaker: That's right. That's right. Before it goes up at that. As the door closes, Maeve is left alone. Before we so continue with the rest of the group, just to get a little more context, Zephira, can you give us a little more a little more insight of everything that's going through the the mind of Maeve as she's able to sink into the warm water?
Speaker: having an opportunity to be alone for the first time in a while in a safe space, or at least something that genuinely feels somewhat safe.
Speaker: And you know that your friends are nearby. Yeah. She doesn't feel safe at all. Pretty much she'd sit into the tub and then sink into it and eventually just put her head straight under the water and just hold her breath for as long as she can while she just...
Speaker: panics internally. She just kind of sits there. its The water is a lot hotter than it should be. And she just, she just, she doesn't feel clean at all, no matter like how much she scrubs. And so she just kind of sits under the water until she can't hold her breath any longer and comes back up.
Speaker: As Maeve is having this experience, the door closes with a latch and Talira, Yellen, and Lou and Yana and Calden are left in this expanse of a hallway in the eerie quiet.
Speaker: Just the small sounds of the tavern in the wee hours of the morning making their way up the stairs to you. I think the first thing that Yellen would do is he kind of puts his hands on his hips and he looks at Kelden and he sighs, kind like when And then he gives him a big hug.
Speaker: Oh. And then he steps back. I am sorry for how I conducted myself. You did not deserve to be yelled at. And i am wrong for that.
Speaker: Um, no, yeah, it's, um, yeah, it's fine. We're good. Alright. I think one of us should stay with Maeve tonight, in the room, anyway, just in case, you know, any emergencies.
Speaker: Whatever she's comfortable with. Indeed.
Speaker: Well, I'm... I'm going to take Yonah out. So... I'll join you?
Speaker: Sure, if you'd like. Walking a bird on a leash? She'll deserve some accompaniment or something. um She doesn't need a leash.
Speaker: That's good. She just sort of follows. Let's go. um All right, yep. Cool.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: I guess they both really awkwardly go collect Yana and head down the tavern and out the door.
Speaker: So while all of this is happening, Talira is standing guard outside of the bathroom door. um Would Lou be there at all? probably, lo would have been kind of in the background.
Speaker: Like there, but okay there's a lot going on and not trying to be in the way. Knowing that she has limited use in this current situation.
Speaker: Fair. Yeah. Once everybody has gone off in their own separate directions, would Lou be in, like, in their room? or ah Or, like, Talira and her room? Or would she be standing with Talira after everybody? probably would have been, like, listening. I mean, she's not just going to, like, not be aware of what's going on.
Speaker: She probably would have... h walked from the doorway and joined you outside of the bath. Okay. Once Cal didn't yell and walk away. And it's now a new day. i would have speak with animals again, or is it not the next day yet It's about right near the cusp.
Speaker: So I'm going to say that you probably would since we you guys slept, and I'll just go ahead and say that, yes, it's going to go ahead and be new day. We'll use that as a good indicator. Sweet. Talira will touch her armband.
Speaker: How what are you doing with all of this, Lou? Well, I'm just um just glad she's back and she's safe.
Speaker: Me too. Yeah.
Speaker: It's really crazy. the Just the life that you guys have led since meeting each other. Yeah.
Speaker: It is a bit crazy, isn't it? I'm not even worried about that, though, but... You didn't actually answer sort of my question, though. How are you doing?
Speaker: I'm doing alright. I'm, uh... I'm ready to be out of the city.
Speaker: Me too. Yeah, I think we all are. don't know, something about this place, it's just... It's dark, and it's not just the lack of light, if you know what I mean. I can feel it.
Speaker: Yeah. so It's almost like the history of... Because it's so historic here, it's... But it's almost like that history has a weight. You weren't here before, were you?
Speaker: No. No, I wasn't.
Speaker: Good. Luckily.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But as dark as this place feels, it can be useful. i I've read a bit. There's there's a lot here.
Speaker: I'm not saying we should stay by any means. I want to get the hell out of here, but I just wouldn't be surprised if we have to come back here at some point, you know? I just gotta... I gotta suspicion. um The craziness that's happened since y'all met, that's why I brought it up.
Speaker: I got a feeling it's... it's not over. don't know if that bodes well or not. I mean, the world is fucking falling apart. Of course it's not over. We have to figure out so much right now. know.
Speaker: And it sucks. But I think you guys are in the unique position to do something about it.
Speaker: How? When I say you guys, I should include myself. i'm I'm with you guys for the long haul, but who else has the experience with everything going on? I feel like we're just as in the dark as everyone else.
Speaker: Maybe, but I think you... We still don't have any answers, and we just got ourselves wrapped up in something so much fucking bigger. can't take care of all of this. i mean, i can I can do what I can to protect you and Kalden Maeve, but... You don't have to.
Speaker: It's not a you, it's a we. It's an us. Listen, there's issues in this group, but... Y'all can do a lot. We can do a lot. And, I mean, I've told you a bit about my people, the abilities I've learned, but... We need to figure out how to break your curse, then. That would help, yeah, but...
Speaker: I just, I, it almost seems like you all are being pulled into this. I mean, some people believe in destiny. I don't know if you do. i don't know if we've talked about that, but you say everybody's in the dark, including us, and that might be true, but I think at least we have our hands on the match that's going to light the candle.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I know it's not a position you like to be in, but I know you can tell there's... There's a lot of trauma in the group of friends that we've got here. It's a lot of pressure, but I think you're rock.
Speaker: And I don't mean to put the pressure on you to fix anything. that's not That's not your place. So to please don't think that it is. Nor is it just your place to protect everyone.
Speaker: But I think you're a great person to be that rock that is just that steady, that steadiness. When shit's going crazy like it is, you're pretty consistent. of the things I like about you.
Speaker: It's funny because I think of you as the one who grounds me. Well, I mean, somebody's got to beat the earth the rock sits on, right? Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Well, whatever comes, I guess, um, let's give them hell. I like the sound of that. In the meantime, though, uh, speaking of that rock, I think Maeve's gonna need one.
Speaker: I think so, too. Yeah. Anyway, um, do you have any jerky left in your bag?
Speaker: And see? This is what they mean. Nothing shakes you. I know, I know. I couldn't help it. you I get hungry, you know that. I know this! I'm jealous!
Speaker: ah probably should eat something too, but yeah, let's uh, I'll see what I have.
Speaker: I appreciate it.
Speaker: Maeve, I'd like to ask you, how how long of a bath do you take? That is a great question, I'd love to answer it for you right now. Probably a long time.
Speaker: Is it long enough that somebody would knock? They'll probably get a little bit concerning. Yeah, that's you're right. of your that You're picking them up on Pundalia. Definitely. Definitely a bit a bit too long.
Speaker: We're going to jump Yellen and Kalden, and when we return, it's probably going to be Talira knocking on your door, I'd imagine. But MJ will be able to answer that when we come back to it.
Speaker: Kalden is standing over the the body of Yellen, bleeding out because he killed him. Wow. I should be. So what? Right now. Cool. I think that's a great after credit scene. We can go ahead and you know use that for that.
Speaker: Well, I mean, it's going to affect the rest of the episode. So I think we're going to have to address it now. No, the episode's done. Boom. No. Welcome back, Safira. I ended the episode early by killing Yellen.
Speaker: Yep. So sorry. That's fine. we We'll resurrect him somehow. Hope his head in a jar or something. Okay. um As Yelen and Kalden, you had left, taking Yana on a bit of a walk, allowing Yana to relieve herself.
Speaker: I assume, and you can let me know if I'm wrong, Kalden, Yana is your pet. Are you leading this walk? I would say that Yana is in front, but not by a whole lot. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: Well, as you all walk out of the door of the tavern as the barkeep is kind of setting up for the morning morning rush that's here to come in a couple hours, you enter to into the brisk air of Undor as a fresh sheet of ash is drifting over the city, obscuring the the light of the moons, darkening the alleyways in which you're stepping into.
Speaker: Yana trots in front, giving a few clucks here and there. And the city here, it's not that a city never sleeps. It's not like Vegas. But with being dark, almost all the time, sleep schedules aren't nearly as solid.
Speaker: You still have the moon that tells the day, so it's easy to know what time of day it technically is. But we all know sleep schedules, they're based on circadian rhythm. So here it is still more lively during the day just because of business hours.
Speaker: But there are still people around as you walk out onto the main road that's just outside this tavern. There's one or two wagons, not not necessarily nearby, but have started their morning route.
Speaker: And you also see and an ash sweeper coming by, sweeping the ash off of the roadside into the back of a wagon that's pulled behind it. Ash sweeper, by the way, little bit of world building fun.
Speaker: Ash Sweeper is a wooden contraption that's pulled by a horse, and it uses the kinetic motion of the wheels to also put like a broom brush around it and sweep it up a like ramp into the back of the wagon.
Speaker: Pretty simple contraption, to be honest. As you walk out, there's a few people here and there, but for the most part, it's fairly quiet, but it is definitely not deserted. Kowdun's walking a bit slower than normal.
Speaker: Looks like he's on high alert, but I think he's probably walking next to Yellen. Yellen is keeping pace. He's not so much on high alert. He's kind of looking around with all the ash falling and everything, but he is sort of nervously, like, fidgeting with his hands and different things on his belt.
Speaker: Are you okay? I'm fine. Where did you go? Um, I... I found Eric. I mean, that's very good of you, know, but why didn't you tell someone?
Speaker: I left a note. You did? With Maeve's sword.
Speaker: Um... We didn't see the note, so that's my bad. I... I guess I didn't think that you guys would care that much.
Speaker: Calden, I don't... It's just, I... With everything that just happened, in all respect, i care that much.
Speaker: I... I apologize. i didn't mean to put either of you in an uncomfortable position.
Speaker: It's all right. I was was just worried. That's all. I'm glad you were able to find him as well. Was he still fighting that, um, sewer man?

He goes behind the bar top as he puts on a an apron, seeming to be the relief for the bar. Talira waves to the exiting bartender who's finishing up his shift and then walks over to the table, sits down. I just got this ending from Eric.

Speaker: Talira, she would be quiet for a few minutes. and then look up to him kind of, not awkwardly exactly, but more nervous and concerned.
Speaker: Keldon, can ask you something? Sure. Um, I don't know exactly how to ask this.
Speaker: Am I crazy around you? What do you mean? Like, do you feel like I am, I guess, overprotective?
Speaker: Why do you ask? It is a long story, I don't want to get into all of that right now, but um I um like guess I want to make sure you're okay and that I am not overwhelming you.
Speaker: i I don't know. if I'm being honest, I don't have a good baseline for that sort of thing.
Speaker: So... i know I take protecting you very seriously because I take, I put promise that to you. Which I don't understand, Tadeer. I mean, we're friends, we're watched as a backs, of course, but i don't I don't know why you think you need to be my protector.
Speaker: know You don't need to take on that responsibility for all of your friends. You don't need to prove yourself or oh earn your worth with us.
Speaker: That is not it at all. I promised. And not just you. What do you mean?
Speaker: Fuck. Fuck. Um... i was not supposed to say that last bit. What are you talking about, Terea? I guess it's too late now.
Speaker: I promised Gwyneth I would look after you You know how much she cares about you. i e suppose. he looks a little suspicious at you at this point.
Speaker: Like, not in assuming there's something nefarious going on, but he doesn't believe you and he's confused. Gwynedd cares a lot about you.
Speaker: And, like I know Gwynedd. She is basically family for me. And... I've not seen her connect with anyone.
Speaker: Like, I've seen her take you under her wing, I guess. And, um, i I think it probably has something to do with losing Lydia.
Speaker: Ah. There's still hope for that though, isn't there? i I don't know much about what's going on with that. I don't know much either. She hasn't talked about it. But, yeah, yes I don't want her to lose another person she cares about.
Speaker: And then we should get out of Andor. Yeah. Yeah, we should. Should we check Maeve and Yellen or give them some time alone?
Speaker: I don't know. i don't know how to handle any of this right now. i This is very different. But I'm sorry you had to come back here.
Speaker: We needed to find Maeve. That was most important. I'd do it again. That's why you got your name, you know. Sure.
Speaker: But yeah, let's find the others. But as this conversation is wrapping up, you hear the thumping of Lou coming down the stairs and just maybe five or ten seconds behind her as you're getting up from the table.
Speaker: Yellen and Maeve make their way down as you see you see them matching pace with each other. And as you all join back up, meeting somewhere in the middle, getting ready to move on, to try to leave this little part of your adventure in the past.
Speaker: I think we'll find out where that future is next episode. But we need to get out of Undor. I actually just bought property in Undor, so I think we should stay. think we should stay.
