Speaker: super excited about what we're going to be talking about this week. Yes, it's going to be, no, this week for the rest of the year, you know. the rest of the year.
Speaker: No, that's, that's, you know, at least the month of this month, you know, ah because this is a very, very important subject, you know, and, you know, we won't be sitting in this studio or doing what we do today without the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: That's, that's the subject. Is it the Holy Spirit is for today or is for 25 years ago or what exactly is going on? Because because there's a lot of misconception, is's misconption a misunderstanding about who is the Holy Spirit. Is it real and our daily, ah ah what what is it, in our daily life, okay? Or is it something that we just, you know, ah what is it, imagine in our head, that you know, about the Holy Spirit? No.
Speaker: ah There's so many scriptures about and when it comes to this subject. You know, it reminds me, even you know, Jesus, Jesus, you know, even Jesus recognized ah who is the Holy Spirit. Right. You know, the disciples have recognized who is the Holy Spirit and his ministry, you know.
Speaker: o So there's just a lot to cover, you know. oh it Well, and there's so much, can I just say, there's so much confusion, I feel like, yeah in the body of Christ. we need to debunk those, yeah some of the foolish and nonsense things.
Speaker: Right. it's going on around. We do. so So, I think we need to talk about, and this is why it's going to be at least the month of February, it could be longer, but I think we need to talk about um the Holy Spirit. You know, the Old Testament foreshadows what would happen in the New Testament, right? Yeah. We know that. So, I think we need to talk through the Bible and the representation of the Holy Spirit and what that shows us about the Holy Spirit through the whole Bible, from Old Testament to New Testament. We need to go over that.
Speaker: We need to answer the question of, um Did speaking in tongues in the ministry of the Holy Spirit die out with the apostles? um And we're going to look at biblically, what does the Bible say? But we're also going to look at church history because, you know, it's sometimes it's good to go back. OK, what did the early apostles believe and what happened? Did the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues actually end when the apostles passed away or not?
Speaker: We're going to talk about that. We're going to look at church history. and see what um the Holy Spirit says, because there is this teaching in the body of Christ that says that that was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues.
Speaker: Miracles was just so that the disciples could demonstrate ah that Jesus was really the son of God. So we're going to look at is that true? Is that a true teaching or is that off? And again, what does the Bible say? What did early church history say?
Speaker: And then we're also going to talk about what is the difference? I think there's even some confusion um about what the ministry of the Holy Spirit is in the church, um you know, in the different ministry gifts that he gives and how they operate. There's a lot of you'll hear people say all sorts of different things.
Speaker: um And so we're going to talk about that. So some people say there's no speaking in tongues passed away. Others say, yes, you can speak in tongues. But every time you speak in tongues, it has to be interpreted. Yeah, so there's a lot of confusion. A lot of confusion. And there's also people who believe that, yes, the Holy Spirit's still here, but you just, when you get saved, yeah that's how you get saved. It's the work of the Holy Spirit, and that's the only ministry of the Holy Spirit now. So which of those is true? Yeah. we're going talk about that. that's what we need to. You need to get your Bible ready. Yes. And just get your notebook. It's good to take a note. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker: Because sometimes I don't want you just to live your life. It's one of the biggest mistakes that every one of us we have made in the past. But I thank God that, you know, the eyes of our understand, you know, the Holy Spirit has opened our eyes. See, I said the Holy Spirit. Yes. He's my best friend. So, and, you know, so I want you to take a note, you know, just write it down, some of the scriptures.
Speaker: And you go back to the Bible yourself, all right? Yourself. Not just, you know, what we are telling you or the explanation that we are trying to give give to you.
Speaker: No, you go back, you you go back to the scriptures and you ask the Holy Spirit. Yeah. That is the key. So, you know, I can't do anything without the Holy Spirit today. You know, I can't even talk about anything without mentioning the Holy Spirit. So and who is that Holy Spirit that we're talking about here? Right. so And what is he doing today? Well, and I think it's good to be like the Bereans in the book of Acts. Yes.
Speaker: Because what they did is they arrest received the teaching, they received it with joy, and then they went and studied the scriptures themselves to see if it was so. And I think it's so very important you do that. You go and study the scriptures yourself because just because you've been taught something doesn't mean yeah that it's true. Let me give you an example.
Speaker: If you ask, I don't know what percentage, I'm going to guess a huge percentage, though, 90% of Christians. How many wise men came when Jesus was born and where they came? By the way, hold on.
Speaker: If you have known the answer, I want you to write in the comments somewhere. Just let us know. How many wise men? How many wise men came to see Jesus? And did they go to see Jesus when he was born in the stable? In the manger. Okay. That's a Christmas Bible test. It's a Christmas story. All right. So most people would be like they were through. I love, don't give them an answer. We need to, okay, all right. I'm trying to explain. But my point was that sometimes things we have learned, but we haven't learned it correctly. Or, you know, it doesn't mean that anybody had ill intentions, but maybe they didn't understand the Holy Spirit, so they mistaught it. Just like with, can we share the answer not? Yeah, yeah, no, no. All right.
Speaker: To explain why, you know, that's good, that's a good, you know, uh, It's a good example. Yeah, it's a good example because if you study out the scriptures, you'll find the wise men did not go to the stable. They were in the manger, not in the manger. It was in his house. He was a small child when they came. Like a toddler. Yeah, like a toddler. And the amount of wealth, it was a huge caravan people.
Speaker: wise men that came. The reason people think it's three is because they brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh. You know what? And I discovered that the wise men are not born-again people. But you know what? They are, i they worship idols.
Speaker: They are magicians, all of them. Devil worshipers. Well, so here's the thing. Now, we don't know. I wonder how that how did it that happen? You know, yeah oh that's another big talk. okay You've got me excited because I want to talk about this because it says they were from the east, right? Yeah, from the east. Now, now this you can't prove this in the Bible. However, yeah there's a good chance that the wise men...
Speaker: from the east or from Babylon, right? Which is where Daniel was made head over all of the wise men. And it's very likely that he would have shared the scriptures with them about the future king. And they, even though I mean, we don't know exactly what their belief system was, but even though they were wise men, they were magicians, they were, you know, the group that Daniel was over. If he would have taught them the scriptures, that means they were expectantly looking and knew the sign of the Messiah while the Jewish Pharisees missed it. How did they know that that was their sign? Why not was it a sign?
Speaker: But that's what I'm saying. I think Daniel ah had yeah had educated them because, he remember, Daniel was put in charge of all of the wise men in and bay Babylon, which would have been the east. And if he would have taught that, because you think about how well ah known and respected Daniel would have been, I'm sure that they would have kept track of what he had taught and the prophetic words he had shared and what he had shared from um the, you know,
Speaker: so the Torah, our Bible now, those things. And they could have been watching for those signs of the king. yeah You know, this promised Messiah. It's possible now. Can't say for sure. But I think no i think that's a very likely... Because otherwise, how would have they known to watch for him? You know, I think it's a very likely this possibility. God is awesome. awesome. You know, as we are thinking, I say, God is... see ah Don't play with him.
Speaker: You know, God will take whatever was rejected by man and make something beautiful out of it and for his glory. Amen. Hey, so that's why don't discount yourself out of this life.
Speaker: don't Don't talk yourself out of God's best. Keep trusting him. no matter what you are going through. So I know this is, we we are talking about the Holy Spirit. Can I tell you, this is a great time for you to be encouraged.
Speaker: God has a plan and for a purpose for your life. You are not hereby just to live empty life. And you need to know what is the plan for your, for that God has for you.
Speaker: You need to locate yourself in God's plan. yeah And so this is awesome. So if a God can use magician, these people, he can use anybody.
Speaker: Yeah. He have used a donkey. That's true. To bring, you know, God is too much. That's what I can tell you. So, all right. Sorry. that's Let's go back to. Okay. So my point, and the point in the whole story that we started. Yeah. Three magicians, right? Was the three wise men. Oh, yeah. No magicians. No magicians.
Speaker: No, I will beat magic in Jesus' name. But the point was that sometimes we have misconceptions that we've been taught that we accept as true um that don't line up with the Bible. So just because it's different, you need to go and study the scripture for yourself.
Speaker: You take the time, you dig into the scripture. you know I wasn't I wasn't raised going to church and learning all of the stuff. And so that's what I did. I would ask the Holy Spirit. I would hear people teaching different doctrines and I would ask the Holy Spirit and then I would go and study the scriptures for myself.
Speaker: and come to my own conclusion because I read the Word of God and I saw what it said. And I'll tell you, some of the some of the doctrines I've heard out there, I studied out, and they just didn't pan out in Scripture.
Speaker: um But people take them because someone will pull one Scripture out of context and use that to build a doctrine around. And people just listen and receive it without studying it out themselves and just accept it as the truth.
Speaker: And so I just want to encourage you, when as we're teaching this, you know what, Beth? I just want you to, somebody to give it an answer and let us know. Is it three wise men or is it 200 wise men?
Speaker: You know, I know, um you know, ah I know the answer. and And one of the reasons why the King Herod was angry, he was mad because he thought.
Speaker: yeah wow They came to dethrone him out of his ah out of out of power and praise God. So for the answer is that there was no three wise. The Bible never mentioned about three wise men. They traveled as a caravan. That's the answer.
Speaker: But they brought three gifts. Uno, dos, and what? Tres. Tres. And de trois. And de trois. This is beautiful. It's...
Speaker: For sure, they brought three gifts. Ooh, Ichi, Sani. Which one is that? Japanese, I think. Japanese, okay. So, hey, we got people all over the whole planet watching this program, so we're just having fun here.
Speaker: But, you know, at the end of the day, and we have done the same thing with our own life, all right? ah Even, you know, these devices. Mm-hmm. every phone came with a manual book.
Speaker: They show you how to use right the phone or whatever equipment is. But ham mean how many times have we taken a time to read the manual or the book before we start using using the equipment or using our cell phones? We wait until find ourselves in trouble.
Speaker: All right? Before we
Speaker: turn back or we grab the the book to read it, to see exactly what is going on here, what is the way out of this trouble. yeah Folks, don't do this with your, and we have done that for our own lives.
Speaker: No, if you go back to the scriptures, you will find your life in the book. Every one of us, your life, your destiny, everything about anybody on this planet Earth is in the book.
Speaker: So i going to encourage you, like we said, is it the ah the the Holy Spirit? Is it the Holy Spirit is real today or is something of the past?
Speaker: Or it is something for the future. What exactly is going on? Let's go back to the scriptures and and and to discover. We're going dive into this subject and to see exactly what God is telling us. And also, you have a responsibility to do your own homework.
Speaker: You study this for yourself because knowledge is very powerful. God knowledge, your life, the way your your lifestyle or how you carry yourself or what you do daily is based on the knowledge that you have received since you were born until now.
Speaker: Sometimes the environment that you came out of will affect or will fabricate or will give you a certain knowledge.
Speaker: All right. Knowledge is very powerful. That's why the Bible says my people are perish because of lack of knowledge. So folks, it's time for us to put aside our pride and go back to the scriptures and see what exactly God is telling us.
Speaker: So the Holy Spirit is real. That's what I can tell you. And without the Holy Spirit, first, Jesus won't be here, who will never come, you know, and to die for anybody.
Speaker: Now, the whole universe, God created everything by the Holy Spirit. So without the Holy Spirit, nothing will exist today. That's right.
Speaker: That's what the Bible said, book of Genesis. Right. Chapter 1, verse 1. Let's read these scriptures. Yeah. So we just, lay building build we are building the foundation.
Speaker: So when we really begin to dive into some of the things, you know what we're talking about here. The Bible says, in the beginning, God created the heaven and earth.
Speaker: Verse 2. And it says, hey, the whole earth was a mess. Nothing good about, there was darkness all over the place.
Speaker: and And it says, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Wow. said, and the Spirit of God.
Speaker: Now, if you go to verse three, let's go to verse three and see what it says. And it says, and God said, and God said, let there be what?
Speaker: Light be. Okay, now, and who was that light? Mm-hmm. I know that question. Right. And I think it's important because we're establishing here the biblical pattern from Old Testament to New to new Testament.
Speaker: And God said, let there be light. That light, he's saying, let there be Jesus. Because we know in John 1, it tells us, and this is the light that... That shines...
Speaker: Right. in a adult house Should we read it quick? Oh, yeah. right So we're going to try to. You go, go read John one later and and you'll see very clearly that this, because remember, the son isn't created yet.
Speaker: This is Jesus. He's so the Holy Spirit. You've got the earth. You have the Holy Spirit hovering there. And then God speaks Jesus into what's going on. okay so So the Holy Spirit what is the creator.
Speaker: That's what we're trying to tell you. That's what God is telling us, in Genesis chapter 1. The Holy Spirit is the creator because god when God spoke, the word, but who is the word? It's Jesus.
Speaker: Now, the name Jesus was, the the angels never heard about the name Jesus in heaven to begin with. Right. All right. They never knew anybody names oh oh Jesus.
Speaker: They only knows what? His words that he spoke out of his mouth. Yeah. He was known as the word. Yeah. The name Jesus came into, ah you know, ah people were saying,
Speaker: No, heard about the name Jesus when the angels came and at his birth, you know, and and yeah. So you you do homework. That's when the word of God became gas flesh. yeah And the angel you said, his name shall be what? you in Jesus, the Messiah. So what what are we are trying to tell you is that the Holy Spirit is the creator because he's the one who went into action. who is the Holy Spirit that performed all the miracles. hey The one that created, you know, the seas and then the heaven, everything that you exist, everything that they you are ah you are enjoying today. It is the Holy Spirit that created all. So that's number one.
Speaker: You know, we just, you know, we're just talking about the foundation of this message, so you know. Yeah. yeah so So the Holy Spirit is God himself. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: So we're going to get it into that. The Holy Spirit is God. and What is the name of the Holy Spirit? He has a name. You know, when you say the Holy Spirit, that's the attribute. is It is a spirit, all right?
Speaker: ah spirit a whole A spirit that is holy. But the Holy s Spirit has a name. All right. you know You never heard about this before, right? how tell I will show you the name of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: Can I say now? No. You know, all right. The name of the Holy Spirit is Jesus. Period. Because when you call upon the name of Jesus, it is the Holy Spirit that answers the name.
Speaker: Yeah. Jesus himself is in heaven. Yeah. I know when we say, you know, even mean when we say I have Jesus in my heart. No, the real, the real Jesus is at the right hands of his glory. Yeah.
Speaker: It is the Holy Spirit that lives in you that reveal his presence to you. So the Holy Spirit answers the name of Jesus. When do you call upon the name, Holy Spirit comes.
Speaker: Wow. Wow. This is very exciting. That's his name. Right. All right. His first name and last name. We're going to discover that. Right. So we're not talking about the the doctrine of the Trinity. No. Specifically, but that's. that But it's part of it. It's part of it. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yeah. All right. So, okay. So and even Jesus, how did a Jesus relate to the Holy Spirit?
Speaker: Well, he called him father. Yeah, i said it said the Holy Spirit. said, my father, which dwelleth in me. He recognize he acknowledge he recognized, he recognized that the Holy Spirit is that his father.
Speaker: And that's what the Bible said. The angel just says, well, a child of what? The Holy Ghost. So, wow, this is this beautiful. So the Holy Spirit, it is a real person.
Speaker: He has a feeling. He can get mad. if the Holy Spirit gets mad, you are gone forever. When it comes to, the Bible says, don't blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Well, and what is the only unforgivable yeah sense sin? Yeah, sin. So we are not talking about that now. I'm just telling you, give you some, you know, was trying to explain how what the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament and the New. So well and that's what this is is all about. It is. And Jesus said, you know, just to kind of follow that theme, he called the Holy Spirit Father. And he said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. So if you've seen Jesus, you've seen the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit. And you've seen the ministry of the Holy Spirit. yeah Jesus, when He was on earth, He was displaying the heart of the Father. That was the ministry of the Holy Spirit. How does the Father look like?
Speaker: He looks like you. He has two eyes, He has a nose, and it is Jesus, period. That's why as a Phillips, ask this question.
Speaker: They show us the Father. yeah And Jesus say, Are you blind? That's my own translation. say Are you blind? What's wrong with you?
Speaker: How long I'm going to be, you know, how long? Hey, you need some knowledge. Anyone that sees me, I see my father. What a beautiful answer. So, and so this this is a, this is very, very beautiful subject.
Speaker: I know for sake of time, Oh, wow. Yeah, I didn't know. It went fast. So next time we're going to get more into details. We'll just kind of lay the foundation. Yeah, we'll give you scriptures. And what is the language of the Holy Spirit? For example, let me explain this. I'm getting excited. I'm not sure if I'm ahead of this, but we'll be all right. Well, next week we'll write all of Everything I said, the Holy Spirit will fix it.
Speaker: You know, look. Every country has their own language. Do we agree? Right? Well, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What language do we speak here the USA? Well, we... And I know there's a lot of language, but what is that? lot. English is the predominant language. The predominant language, English.
Speaker: If you go to Togo, yeah we speak French, and so 2,000 or maybe many, many dialects, languages, okay?
Speaker: So what I'm saying, I'm using it to explain something to you. So every... country, they have their own language. All right? The same way the kingdom of God has its own language. The language that they speak is pray in tongues.
Speaker: don't know if they talk. We're going to get it to that. Is it pray in tongues? it for things of the past or is something for today? Well, and and if it is for today, is it something that's only given to some people? To some people or is it open to everyone? Everybody. everybody Yes, we have the answer. So tune in. Yes, get let's get back to the Bible.
Speaker: so So, I'm just, you know, make you hungry, that's all. Wow, that's yummy. That's what the Word of God does to us. So, ah you know, and all of this, you know, the Scripture says, you know, okay, who is the author of the Bible? Question.
Speaker: Question. the author of the Bible, it is the Holy Spirit. He's the one that inspired the disciples. The disciples are just writers.
Speaker: They wrote what he taught, what he spoke to them. yeah So he is the author of this book. So that's why you can never understand this book without the author.
Speaker: You have to know him. He knows everything that he wrote in this book. That's why if you are struggling or you have a question and the things that you have read, or you have no clue what God is speaking.
Speaker: Ask the author, the Holy Spirit. He will explain to you because the the Holy Spirit speaks today. Yes, he has he has a tongue. He speaks. Yeah. John 14, 26, just scripture.
Speaker: scripture All right. What you're exactly what you're saying. So it says, and I love NLT, so that's what I'm reading in. But when the father sends the advocate as my represent representative, that is the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: He will teach you every everything and will remind you of everything amen I have told you. So it's the Holy Spirit that teaches you the scriptures and reminds you of the scriptures. Amen.
Speaker: Amen. And this is where he says the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is a secret of your success. Yeah. Period. Yeah. So that's why I want you to get ah to know him.
Speaker: All right. what You know, I'm not satisfied, but what I know about the Holy Spirit, I'm still hungry to get to know the Father yeah through the Holy Spirit. There's a hunger in me that I'm craving, I'm craving for, you know, to know the Holy Spirit intimately.
Speaker: You know what I'm saying? There's nothing like it because he knows my future. He knew my past. He knew my last name, my first name. Yeah. The country that I was born in, you know, every detail ah about your life. He knows everything. yeah So the the reason why this subject is very important, because if we.
Speaker: recognize who he's who he is and his ministry, we will never suffer anything in this life. Yes, we will never live a life of defeat in this life if we get to know the precious Holy Spirit.
Speaker: Now, King James said, well, it's the Holy Ghost. It's the same. What's the difference between the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost? It's the same. The only difference is NIV. and iy Or King James Version.
Speaker: All right. So I know for sake of time, but next next week, we're going to continue this series. And so I believe that the Holy Spirit, yeah, yeah I love that. I can't i can't say anything anything without telling you about the whole calling upon his name.
Speaker: I believe that God is going to see. I say God is the Holy Spirit. So God is going to bless your life. and And God wants the Lord want us to have an amazing life in this year, 2025.
Speaker: I believe that's why He's prompting us to kind of present the ministry of the Holy Spirit to to all of us. i'm still learning We are still learning this. That way, you know, and we can trust Him to have an amazing, you know, i'm amazing time or amazing year, 2025. So we are glad that you are tuning And I pray today, whatever you are going through, yeah you know, let's exercise our faith.
Speaker: And in the name of Jesus the Christ, and I commend every trouble, every unpleasant situation, every issue that you are facing today, now.
Speaker: And I reverse the curse to the power of the Holy Ghost. And I release the anointing of the Holy Spirit to touch your life, whatever you are or watching this.
Speaker: It is your set time to be delivered. It is your set time to have victory. It is your time today. I'm talking about two today. This week, you will rise up. You will you rise above every situation.
Speaker: You will walk on every trouble. You will be on top only this week in the mighty name of Jesus. And I commend every... assignment from hell, every spirit from hell that being sent from hell to frustrate you, to torment your finances. you No, I break the power of it. That's right.
Speaker: I say devil, get your hands off of God's possessions in the name of Jesus. And I decree, decree and speak peace over your life, peace over your home, peace over your loved one, peace over your finances, everything around you.
Speaker: I decree peace In the name of Jesus, and um I decree and declare that you are blessed. You are prosperous.
Speaker: You are victorious in the name of Yeshua. the the Messiah. We pray for you. Wow. So, a man we can't stop. i can't stop talking about the Holy Spirit with that without sensing the anointing upon what I'm sharing with you.
Speaker: And God has been so faithful and the Holy Spirit has been so faithful. So, let's all of us stay connected to the Holy Spirit, you know, to be, ah you know, so we can, you know, really enjoy the provision of the cross. Well, and I think that this this subject is so important because there's been so much wrong teaching about it and misunderstanding.
