Is it okay? It's very mad. Are you okay? All day, every day. Like they'll be normal and then like two of them will get mad at each other and they'll just be like back and forth. That's really cute.
00:01:06
Speaker
And to have your own little commentary from the chickens and the roosters. I love it. Best on the podcast today are the chickens and roosters. And they're not happy about anything. I feel like I'm just boring this week because this week was a mess. And your week was too.
00:01:27
Speaker
Like not even like bad. It was just nonstop. Yeah. Because like, and it's not that either of like the technical interviews that I did were hard, but they were like tedious and time consuming. So it was like, well, let me sit down for like two hours and go through this thing and like give bullet points. And then let me sit down for two hours and plan everyone's schedule and figure out a meeting. And so it was like after working.
00:01:57
Speaker
because I'm working so much this month. March. March is going to be a good baby paycheck. Yeah. And that'll be awesome. Yeah. Especially with Alexis coming to visit, like we'll be able to explore. That's exciting. But what are we talking about today?
What is Reversal Magic?
00:02:17
Speaker
we are talking about, I don't even know. I don't even know what we're talking about. What even is this episode? We're talking about reversal magic and cutting ties. Yes. I actually enjoyed doing some of this research because this isn't like, you see like the candle, like cord cutting candle spells on like social media all the time. I feel like that's like
00:02:46
Speaker
it's like aesthetically pleasing. So people do that one all the time on social media. Yeah. But I know a whole lot about it. Like I knew what it was, but not really like what it was, you know? Yeah. Yeah. It really was a lot of fun to do the research. And I feel like for me, like I feel like we kind of mentioned this. I don't think we mentioned it necessarily on a previous episode, but we had talked about it. Like, um, just that poll recently,
00:03:16
Speaker
to like want to begin doing this type of magic and like reading about it is different than actually like putting into practice and stuff. And so like this really renewed my interest in trying this. And so I'm really excited about it.
00:03:30
Speaker
Yeah. So this type of magic falls under counter magic, which is a magic used to counteract or protect against negative energy. And it makes me think about like, when you were a kid, you know, you're like playing on the playground and somebody calls you a name and you were like, I remember you all were a clue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you. Like that's all it made me think of when I was cracking up. Yeah, that's literally what it is. Yeah. Also, like what's funny to me about that is like, you know, we have all these like little sayings and rhymes, but these were probably like,
00:04:00
Speaker
It's like basically witchcraft, right? Yeah, basically. Doing witchcraft out on the playground, like counter spells. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's literally the same thing. And I think just in general, whenever you, when we think about a severing and reversal magic, especially with like cord cutting and stuff, people often view it as a type of painful magic, which I guess, you know, it could be.
00:04:26
Speaker
classified in some respects as Baneful Magic, depending on how you're using it. And we're going to have an episode that's going to cover Baneful Magic in a future episode. But it's exactly what you said. It is a type of protection. And at its core, it's very protecting and goes hand in hand with Protection Magic because it's protecting you from something.
When to Use Severing Magic?
00:04:50
Speaker
And it's also keeping your manifestations and your intentions true to you. Yeah.
00:04:56
Speaker
So like I kept seeing it come up as, like it came up as three different things. So it was like counter magic, baneful, and then sympathetic magic in all of the research I was doing. And so it was like three different like categories across all the research, but like those were consistent across all the research too. I feel like sometimes we do an episode and we'll talk about it offline where we're like,
00:05:21
Speaker
You know, it said this, but it also said this. And like, we kind of go back and forth until we come down to like a conclusion of what we're going to use or how we're going to word things. But with this one, it was very consistent that it was these three, like depending on like whether it was how it was done or like the type of like spell you use to do it. It was one of those three types. So yeah, nice to not have to be like, okay, so what do we have? All of it.
00:05:51
Speaker
It checks all the boxes. There are many different reasons why we'd want to perform this type of magic. For instance, for severing ties, you would want to perform this type of magic, say if you are in a relationship that's breaking up, if you're going through a friendship breakup, workplace issues, familial relationship issues, something related to parents or siblings or something.
00:06:18
Speaker
really in a situation where there's an imbalance of power or codependence.
00:06:22
Speaker
toxic situations or in situations where you might see yourself giving more and more in a relationship and not receiving anything in return or maybe you're not receiving what you know you're worth in return. Also, you know, being in a situation where you're being manipulated or you feel like you're being manipulated or if you're in a situation where say you want to pull back from a situation without feeling guilty about it, this isn't a list of everything,
Undoing and Regretting Spells
00:06:47
Speaker
right? But like these are all different situations where you might want
00:06:51
Speaker
to do a severing ties spell or ritual. And then as far as unbinding, which is another form of cutting ties, you can perform unbinding spells to release you from old habits, people, places, or things that are keeping you stuck from living your best life. Unbinding spells removes negativity and it also helps you make positive changes in your life.
00:07:12
Speaker
and also for reversal spells. So say if you are or you're interested in reversal spells and you don't know much about it, a good way to think about reversal spells, you know, is all magic requires energy. And for reversal spells, like it's literally what Tiffany said earlier about I'm rubber your glue. We are literally taking someone else's spell and sending it back to the person who sent it. So you are taking that energy that they have released on you and reversing it to its source. It's not hexing. This is basically a return to sender spell.
00:07:42
Speaker
I was also reading that, like, in terms of reversal magic specifically, like this particular type of magic can also be used to undo something that you have done yourself. Oh, that's cool. So, like, while traditionally reversal magic is used more like a return to sender spell, it can also be used to reverse a spell of your own working that you no longer wish to give power. Avery Hart of The Traveling Witch did an entire article on spell regret, discussing how working spells is like
00:08:11
Speaker
a learning process and that sometimes we might mess up or we might like act in haste. So this could be a time when maybe like you act out of anger and you wish to undo your work due to your own regrets. It could also be that you didn't put the time and effort into like your research and your spell might have gone like terribly wrong. And lastly, it could also be like a way for you to close a spell that you no longer need. So something she notes is that you should always keep a remnant of a spell so that you can use that
00:08:41
Speaker
like piece of your spell and a later reversal magic should you need to or want to. She puts emphasis especially on workings of love, healing, prosperity, or jobs, curses, hexes, weight loss, mental health, and any spell that you work for
Ethics of Casting Spells for Others
00:08:58
Speaker
yourself. So if you do stuff for other people, like that's up to you whether you want to keep it and like
00:09:03
Speaker
If they come to you later and are like, Hey, can we stop this? Then you can do that. But like, if you're doing something specifically for yourself, because, you know, we're, we're all human and sometimes we act out of anger or sometimes we get a little lazy and we don't really do the research. And then we're like, why is all this happening? It's a way for you to be able to like close that loop. Should you need to.
00:09:24
Speaker
I thought that was really cool. For the most part, reversal magic was more like a protection, return to sender type thing. But I came across this article and I was like, this is very interesting. I also forgot in my notes, but she said, which I didn't really look into this, but I guess with reversal magic, there are types of spells that you can do.
00:09:46
Speaker
where you use mirrors. And so she said not to do that, not to use a mirror if you're working reversal magic for yourself, because you're literally just bouncing that back onto yourself, like reflecting it back onto yourself. So just keep note of that. Oh, yeah, that is interesting. Yeah, I did some research on the mirrors, like using mirrors and reversal magic, but I didn't put it in my notes. And
00:10:12
Speaker
Just for our listeners, there's a lot more in Reversal Magic. We could have a part two at a later time to discuss more in-depth techniques of Reversal Magic. This is just kind of an introduction for everyone. Yeah,
Timing for Severing and Reversal Magic
00:10:28
Speaker
slight major overview. Yeah.
00:10:31
Speaker
So and I love that you brought up like spells that you've worked on yourself versus spells that you have worked on behalf of other people. And I think that this is a good segue into something that I want to talk about when it comes to reversals and cutting ties and
00:10:48
Speaker
those sort of spells and so there might be situations where maybe a loved one or a friend is going through a difficult time or you know like they're involved in a very toxic relationship or something like that and we might want to step in and perform something like a cord cutting spell or some sort of reversal magic depending on what our loved one is going through but
00:11:06
Speaker
Because spells are most potent and powerful when we ourselves are taking control of our own lives and our own situations, performing one of these spells on behalf of someone else, even with their permission, might not be as effective for them in the long term. Because when you think about spells, it's kind of like a prayer, right? It's like a manifestation of what our intentions are. And so obviously, if we are performing it for ourselves,
00:11:30
Speaker
That's only going to be more powerful if we're doing it because we're already manifesting it with our thoughts and we're visualizing what our higher self is going to be like whenever we have attained whatever it is that we're wanting or whatever the case may be. But if you're performing it on behalf of somebody else, there might not be there yet. They're not willing to leave that situation or change in whatever way or cut ties in whatever toxic situation they're in.
00:11:57
Speaker
even if it seems to work, it might not be effective in the long term. But then also, like, I think this is another caveat here when it comes to performing spells on behalf of other people. If you're trying to perform this type of magic, especially cord-cutting spells, without someone's permission,
00:12:15
Speaker
It's much like we cautioned way back in season one about love spells. Performing reversal magic or magic where you're severing bonds can be considered unethical. So make sure you're doing your own research and abiding by your own ethics and values. You know, don't try and cast a spell like say if you are in love or an infatuation with somebody and they are married. Do not try and cast a cord cutting spell on behalf of this person you're infatuated with that they will leave their spells. That is fucked up. Don't do it.
00:12:45
Speaker
that is trash behavior. So just keep that in mind when it comes to performing spells on behalf of other people, especially this type of magic. But when I was reading a little bit about reversal magic and just cord cutting in general, they say that the best time to perform this type of magic is during the waning moon. And the waning moon is, you know, during this time, the moon is getting smaller. And this is the perfect time to perform any sort of banishing, releasing cord cutting or reversal magic. And
00:13:15
Speaker
to note this episode is releasing on April 1st and it just so happens that the moon is in the waning period. So just FYI, we're
Methods for Cord-Cutting Spells
00:13:24
Speaker
geniuses. This was an accident with this all lined up. So just FYI, which is like if you are interested in reversal magic and wanting to try it out, this is the perfect fucking day to do it. So do it, like please. Additionally though, the best time is also to perform an unbinding spell when the sun is in the sign of Aries, which
00:13:45
Speaker
We miss that, but hey, you know what? It's still the waning moon, so this is a perfect time to do it. So moving into some methods for severing bonds, unbinding, and reversal magic, we'll start with cord cutting. As I said at the beginning of the episode, all I really knew about the cord cutting spells were the ones that you see on Instagram all the time that are these really pretty
00:14:07
Speaker
aesthetically pleasing dressed candles with little cord like it burns. What I was reading though is that traditional cord cutting was actually done with knives.
00:14:17
Speaker
as the witch was seen as the master of their own fate by using their own hands to sever the link and reinforce the break with their own actions, which I absolutely loved. So traditional cord cutting wasn't designed to have to leave anything to chance. And that's kind of like what I was reading, like people that follow traditional cord cutting practices versus candle cord cutting is that they don't
00:14:42
Speaker
like the candle version because it does leave it to chance. Like what if it doesn't, like what if the candle goes out or what if, you know, it doesn't actually catch the cord umpire when it gets down to that low, like maybe the cord falls or something. So they would use knives or they would have like magical scissors that they only used for practices like this. So in traditional coordinating, you would start by removing the person from your life
00:15:05
Speaker
by returning anything of theirs that you may have. And like now in like a modern setting, you would also like be blocking them on your social media as your phones, emails, like go completely no contact basically. So once you've done this, you would clean and cleanse your space, center and ground, and then even shield yourself. You would use items that have a tie to that person.
00:15:26
Speaker
that you're trying to cut ties with. Maybe something they've gifted you, it could be a photo, anything like that. You would tie those two items together and then you would use a knife or magical scissors or whatever it is that you're using for this particular spell and you would cut the cord that tied them together to like separate them. And this would symbolize that separation. So once this cutting is complete, you would close your space per your own traditions and practice and then
00:15:53
Speaker
go completely, no contact with that person. And if you're in a conversation with someone else and they bring that person up, you would change the subject. And if they like keep bringing them up, just leave that situation essentially. The traditional way falls more in line with like a cord cutting spell. So you could simplify this too, by just like taking a slip of paper, writing your name on one end, writing their name on the other, and then like cutting the paper in half, separating you two.
00:16:20
Speaker
And then just like we always say, there's like a power in words within saying something out loud. So this principle is what applies here. There's also like a power in making this like a tangible visual situation. So like, whether you're using an actual court and like tying two, you know, items together, or if you're like writing names on a piece of paper and separating them, like you're making this a tangible visual representation of separation.
00:16:47
Speaker
so it gives it like it's a power in that as well. If you're wanting to do like the not like traditional as in the traditional method that Tiffany mentioned but the method with the two candles that we see oftentimes on social media, essentially at its core it's
00:17:06
Speaker
cutting a cord cutting spell like a simple cord cutting spell is taking two candles dressed to represent two individuals and they're tied together with a length of string and then they're both lit and left to burn down and once the flame gets to the string tying the candles together the connection tying the two candles will sever. Basically this becomes a symbolic representation of the bond between the two individuals severing. There's also like a visualization method that I was reading about
00:17:34
Speaker
So this can be done through more like a more formal meditation if you want to make it more in-depth or simply just by visualizing, cutting a cord between you and the person that you wish to sever ties with. So as always you should cleanse your space and if you cast circles you should do that as well. Once done
00:17:53
Speaker
You basically visualize a light surrounding you close your eyes and bring to mind the person that you like want to cut that attachment with as well as visualize a cord that ties the two of you together so like the cord coming from you to the person that you're visualizing and then once you can see all of those things in like your mind.
00:18:13
Speaker
you would then visualize your cutting tool and just cut the cord and like sit in that space for a while and take note of any thoughts or messages or impressions that you might get. And once you're ready, you close your circle along with your ritual. So I thought that one was like, that one's like, I mean, I feel like all of these are pretty accessible and pretty like beginner friendly, but I feel like that one is nice because like you don't need anything but yourself. So like if you, you know, you don't want to,
00:18:43
Speaker
put the effort into like dressing candles or maybe you don't have the candles and you like want to work something like right then and there or maybe you're not in a space that you could you know work an actual like cord cutting ritual or spell that one like just requires you to sit and like visualize things you could do that like in a public space even if you wanted to yeah so I thought I liked that one and wanted to include it because that's like
00:19:10
Speaker
accessible to literally anyone. And then using candles to do this practice is considered like a more modern practice. And it's recently grown in popularity due to social media because it is, like we've said a couple of times already, it's like very aesthetically pleasing, like it's very visually appealing. So all of these options are easily accessible, they're all very beginner friendly. But on the flip side of this though, like I was saying earlier, some
00:19:37
Speaker
people believe that using the practice of cord cutting with candles leaves the state of the bond up to chance and disempowers the practitioner. I feel like this is just going to be a personal thing. Like some people might feel very like strongly against it. And some people might be like, no, this is how it's supposed to be. Like if it, you know, I leave it up to chance and it doesn't cut the bond, maybe the universe is telling me something. So I feel like it's just going to be like your personal beliefs and intentions
00:20:07
Speaker
and like what you're looking to get out of it. So we try to be pretty open on the podcast with things, like not gatekeeping things or telling you not to do something specifically unless it's going to like cause you harm.
How to Choose and Use Candles for Magic?
00:20:20
Speaker
You know, I don't know. I feel like I, I'm like, I could see where the people are coming from where they're like, absolutely not. Don't use candles. That leaves everything to chance and takes your power away. But I can also see like where you might want to do the candle versus like cutting. I don't know.
00:20:35
Speaker
Yeah, I think it's just it's personal preference, right? So whichever whichever method you
00:20:40
Speaker
align more with than the method that you want to do. And if you are wanting to do the candle method, when it comes to the candles, you know, are all candles created equal in an accord-cutting spell? And the answer is yes and no. It just depends, like, with everything. Yeah, it's a great area. So, I mean, white candles are the easiest and most multipurpose of all candles. So if you only have access to, like, white pillar dollar tree candles, just use those. Like, it doesn't matter.
00:21:10
Speaker
You could also do one white candle and one black candle and have the black candle represent the release and banishing of the emotional ties and connection. That would be a really great way to visualize that. But what you'll want to do is make sure that you have pillar candles.
00:21:26
Speaker
And so, and to make it more personal, you will want to take a small pen, needle, toothpick, whatever you have and carve your name into the white candle. And if you are using like a different colored candle to represent the emotional ties and that connection that you're wanting to banish, then you will carve their name into the black candle or the other colored candle that you're using.
00:21:49
Speaker
I was also reading that if you wanted to look more into it when you're working a cord cutting with candles, that you could watch the flames of the
Creating Potent Severing Oils
00:21:59
Speaker
candle. And so if your flame is tall and strong, this means that your magic is working. If it's a low flame, it could indicate that you need to do more work to sever the cord with that person. If the flame is short and weak, it might be indicating that your timing is off. If it's a steady flame, that's a positive sign.
00:22:17
Speaker
blue flames could suggest that a spirit is near or like your spirit guides might be there working the cord cutting with you. Dancing flames indicate that the magic will work but there's some resistance and if your flame is like popping and crackling it could signify resistance as well.
00:22:35
Speaker
Mm. Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. And then also when it comes to dressing the candles, you don't have to do this, but it can make the spell more powerful. And so there is an oil that you can create, and I have a recipe for it, a severing oil that I got from Eli Rowe. And they're from the podcast, The Middle Age Witch. And
00:22:58
Speaker
They have a great recipe for a severing Thai's oil. And again, this is going to make the spell more powerful and more personal. So what you'll need is two ounces of a carrier oil, such as olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil, or mineral oil. And you want to take whatever oil you're using and put it in a saucepan and add some of the following herbs, like whatever you have on hand or whatever jumps out to you or speaks to you. So don't go out and feel the need to buy all of these. Like you could just literally use one of these.
00:23:27
Speaker
and it'd be fine. Some of the herbs that they list are juniper, pine, holly, basil, violet, yarrow, pepper, cloves, cumin, comfrey, fern, garlic, peppermint, rosemary, nettle, nutmeg, and sandalwood. And you'll want to heat the oil on very low for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. And then you'll strain the plant material out and place your oil in a small jar or like a little vial or something to use whenever you're wanting to perform any sort of banishing, severing, or reversal magic.
00:23:56
Speaker
When you strain your plant matter out, you can return it to the earth. It's great for your like gardens, put it back in your soil. Yes. And also just a note, don't bring your oil to a boil. You want to like keep that on a low, low, low, like warming heat.
Three-Day Unbinding Ritual Guide
00:24:11
Speaker
No, bring the little rhyming. Don't bring your oil to a boil.
00:24:19
Speaker
So I also came across this three-day unbinding ritual which I thought was amazing and I really like it because you know it can be used to remove negativity, help break bad habits, and remove people, places, and things from your life that are just no longer serving you. And this unbinding ritual came from the art of the root and they're linked in our
00:24:39
Speaker
resources for this episode but the first day what you're going to do is do a cleansing bath and so you will create like an infusion of water that includes basil, lemon, peel, rosemary, angelica, and mint and you'll want to use purified water for this and you're going to simmer it for about five to seven minutes. After simmering remove the plant material and discard them back in your garden I guess again.
00:25:03
Speaker
um and then you'll want to add do this you know obviously before you add the salt because then once you remove the plant material add about a tablespoon of kosher salt to the infused water and then at sundown what you're going to do is you're going to take two votive candles and the art of the root recommends two black votive candles but again
00:25:23
Speaker
use whatever you have, whatever you have access to, whatever speaks to you. And you're going to put one votive candle at the head of the tub and one at the foot of the tub. And what you'll do is you'll take a ritual bath where you're going to light the candles, you're going to get into the bath, and then pour the prepared cleansing water over yourself. And as you're doing it, you're going to imagine washing away any negative attention
00:25:45
Speaker
attachments and situations, recite an intention as you do this and related to like the cutting through of any obstacles in your way or removing people who are standing in your way, whatever the situation is that you're trying to release and then so that's what you're gonna do in the first day. The next second day, so the next day of this ritual because it's a three-day ritual is the candle ritual and for this you're going to take a large candle and
00:26:10
Speaker
and you're gonna anoint the candle in any unbinding, severing ties, oil, et cetera, whatever you have on hand, or you can just mix cinnamon, peppermint, lemon peel, salt, and rosemary, and either olive oil or almond oil, and then dress your candle in that. Then,
00:26:27
Speaker
What you're going to want to do is write down a situation you want to be unbound from. So whatever it is that you're wanting to release, write it down and then fold the paper away from you in half, visualizing, pushing the energy away from you. And then you're going to fold it again, of course, away from you the second time. And then
00:26:46
Speaker
Once you're done folding it, you're going to put it underneath the candle and then you'll light the candle and speak your intention. And once the candle is completely burnt out, which could take like a couple of days, you're going to take the remnants and either put it in running water or leave it at a crossroads. Now, whenever I read this and it said to put the remnants in running water, I honestly like if it's the plant matter. Yes. Okay. I could definitely see that.
00:27:12
Speaker
I'm not going to put burnt candle wax in water because I feel like that would just be polluting the environment. But just be mindful of how you're disposing of these things. This is what Art of the Roots said on their website. I would not recommend putting in running water. That's just me, unless it's just a plant matter that you're putting in there without the salt. Then the last day of this unbinding ritual is
00:27:36
Speaker
a house cleansing and so before you start this you're going to smoke cleanse your home with either sage incense cedar rosemary any protecting cleansing herb that you have and you'll make a floor wash with
00:27:51
Speaker
a tablespoon of ammonia, a tablespoon of powdered eggshell, and one cup of herbal water. Basically the same water that she made for the cleansing bath. Just make another for this. And then what you'll do with this is you're going to wash the floors of your home.
00:28:07
Speaker
with this mixture from back to front and use the mop to energetically like push the energy from the back of your house to the front and push it out your front door and then also it recommends making thieves vinegar and spray your home with it and this was the recipe that they had on there. I know that you make thieves vinegar Tiffany like all the time so you'll have to let me know if this is the correct recipe but they saying
00:28:33
Speaker
I think you have too. Yeah. Yeah. So look back at our socials to see Tiffany's thieves recipe, because I know she has, and I know we've talked about it on the podcast. This one calls for one to two tablespoons of thyme, rosemary, mint, sage, and lavender. Two to three cloves of minced garlic and 32 ounces of apple cider vinegar.
00:28:54
Speaker
Yeah, I just do equal parts. Okay. Yeah. And sometimes I'll add other stuff into it too. It just depends. It depends on my mood. Yeah. Yeah. I also do an incense where I use sandalwood in it too. Cause that's very good for cleansing and it's like antibacterial. I love sandalwood. It smells so good.
How to Perform a Freezer Spell?
00:29:20
Speaker
Yeah. So that is the three day unbinding ritual. So.
00:29:23
Speaker
I also found a pausing spell that was listed in an article about reversal magic. It's not reversal per se, but it's a practice that could be useful in stopping the effects of a spell that you worked temporarily until you figure out your more permanent solution.

So for this, you would need a freezer, a piece of paper and a red pen. And they didn't say why red. I don't know like what the significance was for the red pen here, but they specified red. So it's in my notes. Black pepper for binding water and a small container to freeze everything in. So basically you write the original intention of the spell on one side of the paper and on the other side of the paper, you write the target.
00:30:15
Speaker
whether it's like a person or a job or whatever it was. So you fold all four corners of the paper inward, covering the intention of the spell so that it looks like a small little envelope. And you're going to put a pinch of black pepper inside the envelope and place it at the bottom of your container. Then you're going to fill the container with water.
00:30:35
Speaker
seal it and then place it in the freezer. And so this method gives you, they said in this like article that it gives you approximately five days to find a permanent solution to reversing what was worked. So it just kind of like puts a little baby pause on it while you kind of collect your thoughts and maybe figure out what you want to do permanently. So. That is interesting. I like that. I love that. Yeah. Place that little temporary pause.
00:31:02
Speaker
Yeah, sometimes you just need that little pause of like, wait a second. Yeah, do I want this? Yeah, I don't know. We're gonna find out. Yeah. So when I read that, I was like, that'll be a good like little piece to put in to this episode because
00:31:18
Speaker
maybe like we talked about before, like sometimes, you know, we're human and we might act in haste or act out of anger. And then like, we're like, wait a minute, wait a minute, let's take this
Reversal Spell Techniques
00:31:29
Speaker
back. So this is a good way to kind of like put a pause on that, collect your thoughts, and then like figure out what you want to do from there.
00:31:37
Speaker
yeah and then lastly i just have um the directions for a reversal spell and this is a reversal spell with candle magic and this is a spell that you can use say if you know like you feel like you have been whether it be by another witch or by just somebody putting negative like
00:31:56
Speaker
energy and negative thoughts your way and like sending you like the evil eye or negativity or whatever you can use this spell for any of those things you don't even have to know the person's name or anything like that it's just it's literally it's a return to cinder spell so like with the core cutting spell i discussed earlier you're gonna need two candles one black candle and one another color that matches the cinder's intent so if you know
00:32:24
Speaker
who the sender is or you think you know who the sender is you can get a candle that kind of represents that person or their intent or it could just be whatever color speaks to you it doesn't necessarily have to be a specific color and then you're going to put an odd number of divots on the top of the candle with a knife and so just like you know carving in the top of the candle and then dress the divots with reversal oil and you can make your own reversal oil with any of the methods we discussed so far and
00:32:52
Speaker
You can even use ingredients such as lemon peel, clove, rosemary, nettle, roux, or mint. So just taking whatever carrier oil you want, simmering it, don't boil your oil, and then adding those herbs, a great, super easy reversal oil. And then what you're going to do is inscribe your name in the colorful candle. So whatever candle you picked and like then you're going to
00:33:20
Speaker
write the words, I return your spell to you on the black candle and you're going to burn the candles and allow the candles to burn completely. And depending on how big of a candles you got, it could be like a couple of days. So honestly, like I would do smaller ones, but yeah, that's also sad that with creating these oils, like if you need them quickly, the stove is a great option.
00:33:45
Speaker
If you have several hours, like eight-ish hours, you make it the day before overnight, you could put that in a crock pot of water and put your crock pot on low and let it infuse overnight. If you have weeks, if you just want to make it and keep it on hand, you could do a mason jar with herbs and your carrier oil in the window and let it solar infuse and get that.
00:34:09
Speaker
power from the sun. Or you can also just keep it in a dark cupboard with the herbs in the oil over like six weeks. So those are different ways that you can, you know, like create your own reversal oils. If like you have more time or if it's something that you want to just like create and keep on hand all the time. I love that. Because then it's like, you can just have it on hand for whenever you need it. And then when you're done, store it
00:34:38
Speaker
and in your altar or somewhere safe and then pull out whatever you need. The only thing I would recommend is that once it's done and created and you've strained out your herbs, don't leave that oil out in the sunlight. You want to keep it in a dark cupboard so that it doesn't get funky. When you're solar infusing with the herbs, it's fine because that's just a three to four week period.
00:35:04
Speaker
But if you're leaving it out for months on end in the sun, it could get rancid. No one wants rancid oil. Yeah. Also, I would recommend using dry herbs to fresh herbs if you are long infusing because the moisture in fresh herbs can cause mold to grow if you're doing it over a long period of time versus if you toss it in a saucepan for a really quick infusion. So if you're just doing it in
00:35:34
Speaker
you know, same day in a pan, fresh herbs are fine, like if you're doing it on your stove. But if you're doing it any long term, the moisture in the herbs will leach out into the oil and then that will cause mold or bacteria to grow in that.

00:35:51
Speaker
So make sure you're not doing that either. Interesting. But that's all I have. Yeah, thank you. That was awesome. I learned something new.
