The DailyNewcastle Podcast will not be running in 2026. Unfortunately, we are closing down operations for the show after 18 months of daily content.
Thanks to everybody who contributed, it meant so much to us all.
It's goodbye for now.

um Because we've we've built this from nothing. and you know We started off, I think a first podcast got two listens.

um And that's fine. It was my mom and someone else's mom, probably. And in the last 18 months, we've had over a million views on TikTok. We've become one of Spotify's rising stars, which means we've got outgrew 90% other podcasts hit 200 subscribers on youtube i am aware that's not a massive one um but considering we only really started paying attention to the youtube this year um shows a big improvement and finally we were there as one of spotify's marathon shows uh in 2025 which means we will listen to more than 90 percent of podcasts on that platform and that isn't down to me it's not down to kev it's not down to ian nick or joe that's all because of you um thank you very much every comment every like every second that you have listened to the pod on the commute to work every late night debate i've had in the comments of people uh telling me i'm an absolute idiot it all mattered and it meant a lot to not just me but the rest of the team as well

um So while the chapter doesn't come well the chapter comes to an end, should I say, the the story hasn't. There's still many, many chapters to be written.
