Opening Chaos: Jeff and Trevor Without Eric

00:00:44
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to Everon Renewed, an actual play tabletop role play game podcast. I'm Jeff. And I'm Trevor. And it's just us. Eric is not here and I am unmoored, untethered. Who knows what's gonna happen? He's gonna have a great time editing it. I already told him that I would put time stamps for when he absolutely needs to cut stuff out and I have a feeling it's gonna be a long email.
00:01:10
Speaker
it is just the two of us today we are going to be discussing just the last two episodes really we'll do a recap of the previous ones but Trevor not being a party to those episodes and being the only person besides me on this reviewed we're going to mostly stick to a rainard centric questions of the last and the last two episodes
00:01:30
Speaker
But

Episode Recap: Ghosts and Shifts

00:01:31
Speaker
really quickly, the two episodes prior to that, the main points are we got the four sails moving. It took us the better part of two episodes to work through some things with Aura Calcum and runes and Ace's new bike from a demon or something.
00:01:50
Speaker
Trevor, have you listened to those episodes? Nope. This is all news to me. Ace has a speeder and he got it from a demon. Remember when Philip played a bad guy and talked to him? Yeah.
00:02:05
Speaker
it's all related to that. And that's all I know. Okay, but then we also we found out that often has a ghost curse on him. I'm just telling you, Trevor, we found out that open is cursed. Yeah, every time is for me, not for them. Yeah. If his boat ever sails again, no, we don't know if it's if his boat ever sails again, if he ever sails again.
00:02:25
Speaker
But the curse means that ghost pirates will attack. And I believe him because when we finally got the four sails unmoored and untethered, like I am without Eric, it was immediately plane shifted to Dolor, the plane of the dead. So that's where we all are now, and you didn't know that. Oh, good. Nice to know where I'll be. And we're fine. And you are there canonically because Eric adopted your way. He did a killer impression of you, by the way. Okay, maybe I'll do it.

Trevor's New Armor and Character Introductions

00:02:55
Speaker
Oh, wait, I was mentioned? I should check that out. Oh, don't worry, Trevor, you're mentioned on every recording you don't make it to. Oh, good. But we had to pause Philip was unable to make it to the next recording session and Trevor was. Eric decided to back the truck up a little bit and see what Raynard was up to when he went to get his armor. And that is where we will jump in Trevor.
00:03:18
Speaker
And the armor looks great. Got a good deal. You got your father to pay for it. Yeah. God, I really just let him have a terrible day, didn't I? Well, you got him out of a lot of obligations. So using your dad's money, you got some new armor from Dalen and
00:03:38
Speaker
The first time you met Dalen was when you got realized, oh, I don't think he likes Calvary very much. And you were able to get some information out of him. Yes. There were some files or some papers or something. Right. But for some reason, the continuity, that thread was not tugged on by Reynard this time. Nope. And you just got your armor and left and met up with Eldorin and two other strangers. Yes, friends.
00:04:09
Speaker
Eldren's lover and Verla's brother. That is right. Eldren's, what do you call it? I said, situationship is a joke. I can't remember now what Eric called it. It's something to that effect. Attachment or something? I think it was attachment. What happened was Eric texted Randy and I and basically said, here's what I'm thinking we'll do for the episode. I need for Jeff and Randy to each play.
00:04:37
Speaker
new NPCs that Elderin would know. And I immediately was like, I want to be Elderin's boyfriend. That's, I want to be Elderin's boyfriend and I want Raynard to be jealous of me. And he was like, I want to be the furlough's brother and I want to hate Raynard. I have such good friends. You're the chaos agent and we saw a chance to get back at you a little bit. That's fair. That's very fair.
00:05:01
Speaker
So Eric actually built both of those characters. We just had those little ideas really quickly. And then we both backed it. We're like, is that to me and Trevor? Do we just need to be friends? Trevor being always game for some fun. And so Eric actually built the characters, started them out first and everything, gave them names, the whole deal. All we did was say, I want to be this guy. And we meet them and go ahead. I was going to say, and it was a good, it was a fun dynamic.
00:05:28
Speaker
I think so. I really liked the way Randy plays. When he knows he's not, like when he played Krast in the last campaign for four or five, maybe a little longer episodes, it was a lot of fun. But we find out that Eldrin has found out that Raynard's dad has ordered a, or had sent to him an extremely valuable item that would render him invulnerable.
00:05:54
Speaker
And when someone is invulnerable, it is very difficult to hurt them. Yeah, which is one of the goals we had. Or at least we wanted the option on the table at all times. Yeah. Someone was going to eventually need to hurt Calvair, probably. And he, Eldrin has asked the three of us, Theden, Leoric, and Reynard, to intercept it one way or another. Now, Philip,
00:06:21
Speaker
Philip is normally there when we plant heists and he was not this time and I felt it. We, the problem is all three of us were like, we could, no, we didn't even abandon all our own ideas. What did we talk about? We talked about trying to steal a manifest. We talked about
00:06:44
Speaker
hiding out and trying to stay like Mrs. Basil E. Frankwiler style. That one might not have actually made it into the edit. It was like, do we do it here? Do we wait till it's moving? Do we wait till it gets there? Yes, and we ultimately decided to create a manifest with a story point. And when did you, at what point, you went invisible like early, didn't you? And stayed that way in the, you went invisible to get the manifest. To get the manifest, yeah.
00:07:13
Speaker
we rolled so we beefed we failed with triumphs and we failed with advantage but we failed and failed and failed but we won real big later yeah we finally got the manifest because of reynard going invisible we

The Heist: Triumph After Failures

will not remember the name of the place, but the Eberronian equivalent of Margaritaville and the Eberron equivalent of Jimmy Buffett were elucidated. Their names were elucidated in this episode. The first episode of this mini arc, if anybody would like to go back and hear what they are. I did this earlier today, but I forgot to write them down. We, I've never played a magic user. And so I did not look at the spells. Like I know Hob has his one spell. That's not the same.
00:08:03
Speaker
And so I didn't look at spells. So when I saw that there's just like a locate things spell, I was like, oh, maybe this'll help us do this job. And then I was singularly focused on doing that to the detriment of a lot of other opportunities, I think. But the gist of it is we quickly abandoned the idea because we do some recon. We try to go undercover. We do a couple of okay rolls, a couple of bad rolls. I'm pretending I'm trying to find some guy and I rolled
00:08:31
Speaker
is a failed role. Whatever I was trying to do was a failure, but I've never seen three triumphs in a single role. I know there are people who listen to this who've been playing Genesis much longer than I have. I've exploded triumphs before in a different game once. And that was a lot of fun. Rolled like three triumphs in a row on the same, or two in a row on the same dice. And that was really exciting. But a tray with three triumphs in it was amazing. And then realizing I had still failed, I took a picture and I sent it to Philip because he needed to be able to share the moment with us.
00:09:02
Speaker
And I, we saw that picture. I saw it again in the group chat. I forgot who rolled it, but I saw it. This is one of those times. So we give Eric a lot of, a lot of trouble and that's never going to change. He's listening to this to edit it. I want to make sure he knows that, but I will say this, a lot of the trouble that we give him over his triumphs being ultimately not good for us.
00:09:27
Speaker
He really came up with a banger this time. Trevor, what did he say to you? I can't remember if this makes the edit, if this made the edit, but when those three triumphs were rolled and we were bouncing around ideas, Eric pulled Trevor aside, or did he text you? He pulled you out of the room, didn't he? Yeah, he said, come here, I wanna ask you something. And we went to a different room and he said, I think he said, like, I was gonna have Calvair be there anyway,
00:09:55
Speaker
do you want this to just be an opportunity where he's like alone and you can just kill him?

Calvair's Assassination: A Critical Success

00:10:00
Speaker
And I was like, yeah, let's do it. There you go. And so yeah, so that's what Eric gave us. Eric gave us Calverd Fiarlan by himself in the like in a dark room by himself. That's what he gave us. I don't know. There's no other way to
00:10:19
Speaker
And it just worked out perfectly, didn't it? It really did. After that point, we rolled better. And I was still invisible. And he was alone. And we really messed him up. Did you guys get a hit in? I can't remember if you all know. That's what I was saying. That's what kind of worked out so perfectly is I don't know. That's right. You guys didn't roll. No, we rolled poorly. Yeah, I'm still I still don't.
00:10:48
Speaker
I was surprised that an NPC got to go or a PC got to go first. I thought he rolled really well on his initiative and we were just stuck to see what he did. But yeah, a PC got to go first and you got to do it and you rolled well and you almost took him out because yeah, we ended up like super, super critting him. It was, it was 140, I think. It was 142, I think.
00:11:12
Speaker
It was either 142 or it was 82 plus 40, making it 122. It was one of those two things. But it was good. Because yeah, because we used the triumph to add 10 more to it. One thing that I really appreciate about Eric is that he is never trying to...
00:11:32
Speaker
beat us and he's happy to say, you don't want to use your triumph on this because, or you do want to use your triumph on this because it's going to do it for you or whatever. I've always appreciated that. And he did it this time and he said, you're going to want to go ahead and use that crit. And it became, he, it was bleed, which means he was going to lose one hit point on every one of his turns. Or was it every round? It was every round. I think it's every round. Cause he had three turns per round. So that would have been too quick.
00:12:02
Speaker
and he only had two hit points left and Eric just point blank told us that. And then, so what was it about? What, why was it? Cause originally you did a lot of damage and then you said,
00:12:13
Speaker
finish it. Was that just simply because of round order and we had to still act and that was just a way of, you know, I was like, OK, yeah, you guys have turns. You do it. Yeah, I think Eric would have happily let us hold actions, but it just worked out really well. We both tried. We both failed. And then I love the you just pushed him over and stepped on the knife in his chest.
00:12:41
Speaker
That was another good point though. Thinking about that knife. Oh yeah, that was really clever of you to remember.
00:12:51
Speaker
I had a knife that wasn't mine. With a Thrawny knife, right? Yeah. Yeah, that was pretty clever. I played real well, for once. I remembered things. I used things I remembered. It was like that scene in the movie when the heroes got to step up and all of a sudden, he had it in you all along, buddy. Surprise. I do pay attention. We were all paired.
00:13:16
Speaker
See, now we just need to know why you're not employing that. See, I do pay attention all the time. I just choose not to. I choose not to act like it. You guys do so much cool stuff too. And I'm like, okay, I'll be the dumb one. No, Raynard absolutely killed it this episode. It was so fun. Or these two episodes. So we ripped, go ahead. Had a great quote too.
00:13:43
Speaker
But yeah, that's what I asked. I said, what did you say? What did I say? I said, you turned me into the joke and now it's time for the joke to bring down the house. Yeah, it's really good. And tell the truth. You workshopped that one. I thought about it when I realized I was going to get to kill him. So for about 20 minutes, it was sitting in my head. Yeah. And that's still pretty, that's a pretty quick turnaround for a really good, and Eric had a good one too from Calvary. He said, what was it of all of the mistakes I've ever made?
00:14:13
Speaker
Was it not taking care of you was the worst or something like that? Something like that, yeah. He made it clear that he had considered getting rid of you before and didn't regret it, which ultimately, I guess he should have because you killed him. Regretted it. It was very... No, I guess Simba didn't kill Mufasa. I was going to say it was very Lion King, but it was not. Yeah, no, it wasn't even a little bit Lion King. It was not Lion King at all. No. It's good. No. Okay, maybe I'm not smart. Just kidding. Take all that back.
00:14:40
Speaker
I've been in three different states today. Okay. Good. I'm glad that you made it home. Glad you're home safe pal. All right. So yeah, it is exciting. It is so flame in the discord. I typically don't call it the discord unless it's questions to us. At least I don't think I do. I probably do, but they had a great point. They said it's a pretty dang good retcon for why Reynard was having a meltdown in the walk-in at the end of the.
00:15:05
Speaker
the episode where we ended up in Delaware. I cannot wait. I cannot wait until we record again on Saturday. And I get to hear Dex, he gets to, Dex, oh my gosh. Hahaha, hob with the here, Reynard's tale of what happened. And you know it's gonna be short sweetened to the point. Oh, definitely. Yeah, it's definitely gonna just be full of all of the pertinent details, quickly told, with no follow-up questions required.
00:15:35
Speaker
I can't wait to see what happens though. It's going to be great. All right. So I put in the discords. The repercussions. All right. We are now going to jump into some questions. I put a notice in the discord server that we would have Trevor alone. So to

Listener Q&A: Culinary Humor

ask their Reynard and Trevor centric questions. If you would like to get some questions on our review, you can ask them in our discord.
00:15:59
Speaker
Best way to find our Discord is to join us on social media. We have Twitter, we have a Facebook, we have Instagram, we have TikTok, and you can find all of them at TheGeekPantheon. Once you're there, you can find a link to our Discord. It's free to join and we'd love to have you there. All right.
00:16:15
Speaker
So, we begin with Laura, one that I'm not sure we've answered before. I think I may have missed it on a previous review. In keeping with Reynard's mushroom motif at dinner, Laura wants to know, what is your favorite mushroom? What is Reynard's favorite mushroom? Sorry, that's a lie. They do not care about you at all. They do not care about my favorite mushrooms at all, so I won't even talk about portobellos, because F is off. Geez Louise, get out of here.
00:16:43
Speaker
Yeah, I think Raynard is a big fan of a shiitake mushroom. Is there any reason besides the name? You know, it feels fancy. It feels fancy. And I think that's enough for Raynard. You know what? I also think that's enough for Raynard. I think it's enough for Raynard. Maybe somebody once told him it was fancy and he was like, okay. Have you had what do I call maybe lion's mane? I think that's what they're called. No, I have not.
00:17:13
Speaker
there's a mushroom I think that's called like a lion's man or something they're really good too and they are big huh I only know oh yeah I googled it it sure is there they're like gold yeah they're big and they're tasty they're like meaty no one asked but my favorite mushroom chicken of the woods okay
00:17:32
Speaker
chicken of the woods. I haven't had that one. They're fantastic. They don't have to look into it. Do not get confused. All right, Laura continues they want to know in the first arc Trevor made it canon that Reynard has the backstory on how guacamole was introduced to Sean. Laura would also like to know how guacamole was introduced to shard. You know,
00:17:56
Speaker
For the listener, people behind the curtain, we are re-recording the Q&A session because it got lost last night. Can you do better than last night? I don't think I can do any worse. You might bet. I don't know that guacamole is that unique of a thing, right? I think someone decided, hey, I bet avocados and onion, tomato would taste real good together.
00:18:19
Speaker
Assuming all those things exist in this world, I'm good. You know what? Maybe Rainard just invented it. Maybe he's the inventor of guacamole. And that's just, yep, that's it. That's it now. Who writes the books for these? We're gonna let them know. There's this guy named Keith that has a lot to do with it. Okay, we'll message Keith. We'll let him know.
00:18:37
Speaker
Sure. We do know, we know people who know Keith. Yeah, let them know. Raynard Turnville, inventor of Eberonian guacamole. Yeah. If you've got avocados, eventually you're going to make guacamole. They're going to get squishy. Once they figured out milk, cheese was inevitable. It was going to happen. It's just avocado mashed potatoes. It's like mashed potatoes that taste like wet grass.
00:19:03
Speaker
Okay, well that was hungry and then you're ready for me. Speaking of grass, did you ever have this like Harry Potter jelly beans? So this is what a conversation with Trevor and I, a listener, if you would like to know. And yes, I have a child. Of course I've had every flavor of beans. Okay, I've been a child and they had a grass flavored one that I actually liked. Yeah, some of the bad ones weren't bad. I was like, this kind of tastes good. Laura, continue.
00:19:31
Speaker
When Reynard takes over the House Fjarlen operations in Sharn, will he be employing, will he be employing Glaub as, I literally forgot since last night, this is the question, will he be employing Glaub as his right hand man?

Raynard's Family Drama: Patricide Debate

00:19:45
Speaker
I don't think Reynard will want to take over things, but maybe Glaub will want to change careers and just be like a professional friend.
00:19:56
Speaker
It sometimes feels like he's an amateur therapist, so a professional friend may as well be. I think that works out. Yeah. Also, I keep forgetting, I definitely called you Glob. You absolutely did. You decided I was to be called Glob. I just live in the moment, and I let things happen. He's acting. That's Trevor's way of saying he doesn't pay attention. That's theater.
00:20:22
Speaker
You don't think, you don't think Raynard would want to take over Fiarlin operations and just get rid of the spy craft stuff and just do the shows, put on a show with his friends? Probably. That's another thing. I think... I'm inflating Raynard and Trevor. Raynard has not shown a proclivity for that. Trevor does. Hobb did show some interest in being on stage. So maybe glob could be the stage name.
00:20:45
Speaker
He got cast. He's offer only. In fact, he didn't even have to audition. I think globs should be the stage name and there should be a one man show. Glob for the holidays or something. We'll, we'll work on it. Glob for the holidays. Oh, you're the, you're my dumbest friend. I love you so much. All right. Let's jump from the QA tier to the reviewed questions tier. All right. And these, the next handful of questions are all going to come from Kevin. Kevin wants to know.
00:21:16
Speaker
You got to get rid of the spoiler bar. Hang on. What led Raynard to decide in the moment to kill his father? Kevin says that he got the impression the plan was to prevent the coup without killing him. So what was it that led you to change your mind drastically?
00:21:31
Speaker
I've been thinking about this one and I think the Trevor answer is going to be quality content. Just something entertaining because it made for great radio podcasts. What do we call this? Yeah. When Trevor, when Eric presented you with that option, it would have been wild to be like, nah, no, thanks.
00:21:56
Speaker
That's an unbelievable fortuitous thing. I think I'll pass. But I think Reynard's motivation was man. That's a great question. His reason for killing his dad. He's not a great guy. And
00:22:15
Speaker
Sometimes you just kill not great people. It's one of those things, I wonder for Raynard, if it was one of those things, just the more you talk about something, the more reasonable it seems. And he kept saying, you might have to kill your dad. You might have to kill your dad. Are you going to kill your dad? And it just seems, I don't know, that there probably was a way to keep everyone alive, but that someone was going to need to die. And he was the lesser of.
00:22:39
Speaker
The evils. Well, he was there and it was a prison to him. It happened in the rolling of the dice. Sucks to be him. Yeah, it sure did. Kevin continues, has Reynard gone on a date with the elf lady from High Walls yet?

Raynard's Romantic Misadventures

00:22:54
Speaker
His holistic masseuse. So we didn't go on the date, but we hung out again.
00:23:00
Speaker
at the ball. You keep running into each other. Yeah, I still think she wants to kill me, but that keeps it exciting. So no. You've gotten to go through all the motions of a date without actually having to ask anyone out. Yeah, the date hasn't happened, but I don't know. Join the Patreon if you want to spin off series. That is not a promise. I want to make you clear. That is not a promise. That's just a thing Trevor said out loud. He called hot glob. He doesn't know what he's doing.
00:23:28
Speaker
How will Raynard tell, this is Kevin editorializing, how will Raynard tell poor jilted Verla about his new girlfriend? You know, I think the same way he's going to have to break it to Elder and tomb. Just sometimes things don't work out. And this is why we should have a spin-off series. This is a dating show. People who don't necessarily want to date Raynard, but he thinks they do.
00:23:55
Speaker
Yes, we need a spinoff. It's just you and Eric pretending to date each other. Wouldn't that be fun? Yes, I would be quite fun. I'd participate. But I think that that Verla's brother has been involved. I don't know that I don't think there's any any shot in the dark with Verla anymore. I can't imagine Verla has ever at any point considered anything you've done to be
00:24:21
Speaker
in the realm of romance. I can't imagine she even thinks you're interested in her because of how awesome. These are all helpful things that Raynaud says to her. She may have thought at first that you were nagging her, but then realized, oh no, he's just a jerk. I thought he was doing the nagging thing, but he's just a real jerk. It's very elementary playground.
00:24:43
Speaker
You pick on the person you have a crush on. You're the meanest elementary school student I've ever heard. I was a mean elementary school teacher, too. Kevin continues, Trevor, have you gotten more accustomed to being the spotlight character in a scene? The last side arc seemed to go really smoothly and without heckling, without heckling about you panicking in the moment.

Trevor's Comfort with Podcast Spotlight

00:25:01
Speaker
That was me. I'm the one that heckles you for panicking, I think. I've also thought about this question, too. But so I have no problem being in the spotlight. I perform.
00:25:13
Speaker
all of the time. In this setting, however, I more often than not feel that I do not know what I'm doing. I get very anxious to ruin it for other people. So I get very uncomfortable that something I say or do is just gonna ruin it for everyone because I have done that in the past. You don't mean on this show? No, on the show, yeah.
00:25:41
Speaker
You've never ruined anything. There's been some poor decisions. No, I didn't say there hadn't been some poor decisions. So that's why I think I have been uncomfortable in the past is that I just don't want to make a big boo.
00:25:56
Speaker
But yeah, I'm very comfortable with being in the spotlight. For some reason, this pretend make-believe game I play with my friends feels very high stakes to me. This is, would it be fair to say that this is the place where, because with your performing, with your patty stuff, the only person that's affected by your performance is you. And that's what's going on in the back of your mind is
00:26:21
Speaker
Anything you do is gonna affect me Randy and Philip and Eric and you for sure get it I have the same impulse I there's you can very much listen to if you go back a couple of months When I thought I'd screwed everything up and went into panic mode with the whole we murder people all the time scene. Oh, yeah I Get the impulse I do Yeah, so that that's why I've Seemed uncomfortable us is because I just don't want to
00:26:50
Speaker
I don't want to ruin it for everyone. Well, we all thought it was great. Always great. It's going to be great radio, but it may not be what everyone wants. All right. We have a question. There's a Kevin question that rolls pretty well into a Liz question. So Kevin asks, how much unspent XP do you have banked at this point? And then Liz follows up with, are we going to see a big jump in your XP spending to acknowledge this huge personal milestone that Rainard has just
00:27:18
Speaker
Milestone. That's a verb now. Yeah. So I honestly don't know. I think I've spent XP one time and I think I spent like 90 XP or something when I did it. So we have hundreds. You are firmly in the triple digits. You could become, you know what you could become? You could become a lot like what me, Randy and Philip are.
00:27:41
Speaker
People who are strong and powerful. And resist damage and can do cool stuff. You could be that guy too, right? I also feel like I do really well with what I have. That is certainly true. To me it's almost like, do I become a god?
00:28:00
Speaker
It's and that's a Genesis thing is you don't, you're not going to. Okay, you almost can't in Genesis, which is cool. It stays pretty low level, ultimately. Because yeah, because your verse is already ridiculous. Like you have four yellow and a green every time you do a verse fell for yellow for rains. So it's more about talents, you could do so much point by your talents and
00:28:25
Speaker
get some more wounds, get some more strain. Which we all know I'll never remember that I have them. We're going to sit Trevor down and we're going to close pin his eyeballs open and we're going to make him pick talents for the next session. Honestly, that could be a whole episode. Which is in 36 hours actually the next session. Because it would probably take an hour to figure it out. We could probably record it.

I have a feeling that you would become paralyzed by choice with how much you have to spend. Oh, yes. We would have to, we would have to do it in steps. It'd have to be like you're spending a hundred today. Sure. You know what? Let's just build up your level ones and tomorrow we'll make some level twos and then we'll get to your level fives in a week. Perfect. Perfect.
00:29:15
Speaker
But yes, you do plan on doing a big, like, you're going to- Oh, I feel like I have to. I feel like now, even though I took the steps to, I don't know, take some of the blame off me by spitting the story points to get the Therani Blade, it's still gonna come back to me at some point. I know that that's part of the game. Oh, 100%. Yeah, because it's not open to chance. Eric has already figured out how it's gonna come back on us. Yeah, so I gotta beef up.
00:29:44
Speaker
All right, so yes, there will be a big point by Liz and Kevin. He has plenty to spit. Liz continues. Alistair is the older brother, correct? Yes. Is he the oldest sibling? Are there other siblings that have not been mentioned? Do you think Alistair will be taking over this wing of the family? Or will it be

Family Reactions: Raynard's Leadership Potential

Speaker
mom? Or will Raynard make a play? So there's seven questions that I should have stopped after each one. Yes, Alistair is the older brother. Is he the older brother? Is he the oldest sibling? Yes, he's the oldest sibling.
00:30:14
Speaker
We did determine that I have a sister that we haven't talked about yet. What did you name her? Her name's Fiona. Yes. C. Arlen. Because the alphabet. Oh, that's right. You did ABCDF. Yeah. Can't wait for Garth to show up too. He's next. And then what is, no, just so Raynard, I don't think it's going to make a play to be important.
00:30:42
Speaker
That seems a little nasty. Yeah, I killed my dad and take over. Nah, that seems a little gross. That's literally how it works, though. True. That's very much what Calvair was doing, was killing the person in front of him, either. But there's someone who rightfully should step into it.
00:31:06
Speaker
It is an interesting thought, and I don't want to go too deep into it in case we want to play it, but do you see Raynard, let's say Alistair does try to step up and at least head this part of the family, or this family, if not all of the Fjarlins. Do you think Raynard tries to have Alistair's ear be a little bit more of an advisor, maybe some, because he thinks Alistair might actually listen to him about the way they do things? I think so. They like each other. We've already established they have a better relationship.
00:31:34
Speaker
There's real affection between the two of them. Yeah, they used to do jobs together. It's a little different. I think the hope would be like, things would be better. And maybe a little bit of a, hey, I did that for you. Let me gaslight you into getting things I want. I don't know that it would be gaslighting. It would be
00:32:00
Speaker
Maybe one of the things where the players are retconning, but if you do it right in story, it's always canon kind of thing where you say, listen, the more I thought about it, the more I realized, hey mom, he's not good for you. Hey, Aleister, he's standing in your way of whatever it is that you want. What is it that you want again? Nevermind, let's move on.
00:32:16
Speaker
I don't know what I want. And then Irene, you can fold this in Irene asked, how do you expect for Ruth and Alistair and Fiona and the family to feel now? I assume sad, but other than that. Yeah, of course, there's going to be probably some definitely some sadness. But
00:32:41
Speaker
I don't know, I always, I felt like the family dynamic was a little more, no one really likes, no one was really like, this is the guy doing all the good stuff. No, did they want him to die? Probably not. But so I, yeah, there'll probably be something not great. But there might be an understanding. If that makes sense. Yeah, no, I think there will have to be an acceptance eventually of the fact that it's done, whether or not they accept
00:33:11
Speaker
who and how is a different story, but it's really, I am excited to see the rest of this play out for Raynard. It's gonna be really interesting. I think Eric has an amazing grasp on that family and how each of them act. I think he really knows how they're gonna react and I bet he's already got ideas of how that's gonna manifest in their relationship with you. Yeah, probably. Yeah, definitely.
00:33:39
Speaker
I don't think it's going to be a lot of fun for you for a bit. Probably not. Probably not. Yeah, you killed your dad. Who doesn't? Fair enough. Okay.
00:33:53
Speaker
Nevermind, I'm not gonna hash up what may or may not have made it from last night's section of the recording about The Lion King. Yeah, Simba kills Mufasa, we all know that. Yeah, like it happened. Okay, that is the last of our questions. Thank you all for listening. This was a shorter episode. I always say the reviews are gonna be short and I'm wrong and then this one actually was. We will be back next week with some more actual play content. We are actually recording it.
00:34:20
Speaker
In about 36 hours I mentioned earlier, so we're very excited to get together and play. Until then, what's up? Okay, we might as well. We got a couple minutes. What am I walking into tomorrow again? Tomorrow? Oh, no, okay, Saturday, when we recorded. Do you want this in the episode or do you want me to finish to redo the intro? They might as well know I don't know anything.
00:34:44
Speaker
So what happened, Trevor, in the two episodes you haven't listened to, is we got the ship to move. And as soon as it started to move,

Dolur: Enter the Plane of the Dead

00:34:52
Speaker
potentially most likely through the result of Ulfin being cursed, we transferred it to Dolur, the plane of the dead. So I'm gonna pop in and stuff has happened and we're in the plane of the dead. You have actually already popped in. Eric took care of that for you. So there you go listeners. Next week, join us on the plane of the dead in our restaurant boat to see what happens. At least we have food.
00:35:15
Speaker
At least Ace is there. So that'll be fine. Oh, that guy. I think he might have left. Who knows. Anyway, thank you for listening. We'll be back next week. In the meantime, I have been Jeff. And I've been Trevor. Have a great day. Bye. Have fun.
