it's a smattering of individuals, but the main one that kind of draws your i is a pretty ah willowy changeling woman dressed in a midnight blue bodysuit with like, like thin gauze veiling the lower half of her face.

And the there's, there's a handful of fairly, fairly like rough and tumble looking bandits behind her. Let's say five that have bags and they're walking up to people who are, you know, dropping coin purses, jewelry, stuff like that.

You all are probably, three fourths of the way back in this particular train car. So you have a few moments to decide what you want to do. Important question.

I think Kaz starts to reach into his pocket to pull out some coin and then notices that Nixon, Selena, and Nizer are there. Oh, do we not? Are we not? we What are we going to? Oh, are we going to? What are going to do? Shortly before they arrive at you all, you see one like human man step up and try to be like mouth off to him and an orc bandit just headbutts him and his face like explodes in blood as he like falls back with a broken nose.

Now, now, cooperation is vital, the Changeling woman says. In theory, there are armed guards somewhere on this on this contraption, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

ah Nick stands up and I think Nick squares up with this person. There's not much room. We're in the aisle of a of a general second class train car.

And so Nick takes in a deep breath and and because if that guy's face exploded in blood, then this orc's face is covered in blood. Nyx draws in a deep breath and her eyes shift and some of the some of the scaling forms on her on her shoulder. her she's She's not wearing sleeves.

And then she sighs and says, know Out of professional courtesy, I will ask you to move along.

After a moment, you hear like a scream from like the front of the train, making it clear that like there's activity going on all over the train. Um, then they reach the back of the car and then the change the woman turns back to all of y'all appreciate the cooperation.
Strategizing Within the Loop

Nix walks up to the front of the car, front of our car and looks through the window windows. don't know. said it came from the front of the, yeah. Yeah, the passenger cars are probably like spaced out. So like, it's probably like a sleeping car right in front of you all. And so like, but you can see kind of like through the the windows ah on windows. It's not a clear look, but you can definitely see bodies moving up at this point. And you hear footsteps on top of your train car.

Then you hear a source of a scream. Not from this distance, though. You need to go up there to investigate. You hear a rather loud thump on top, like something not like something falling, but something landing, like something heavy landing.

And then the train kind of jostles as whatever it was pushes off. um And then it gets kind of quiet and people are like looking around like. You're mean, can you please that happened? The man with the broken nose, his wife is tending to him as things grow kind of quiet.

probably in total, like them making their way all the way down that train car, like between the moment of like feeling the thing, pushing off probably a total of 10 minutes from the moment that things landed on top of the train car is probably how long all of that took.

Um, Okay, know, you kind of like in a beat snap out of it and have this wave of deja vu as you're looking at the train window and you see familiar tree line passing on.

And as you all look around, you all the murmuring and like reacting has stopped and people are just kind of sitting very passively on the train and then you hear thumps on the train's roof and they wait again and the doors open and you see a changely woman in a midnight blue suit step through with some thin gauze veiling her face She says, this is a robbery.

Cooperation will be appreciated. And five large brutish thugs behind her begin making their way down the train car. Did she have gauze on her face the first time?

Everyone's looking around rather confused as Nick has stood up and started saying this, and Nyx, you definitely don't get the vibe that any of the passengers have any idea what you're talking about.

And the rest of them start continue collecting goods as they're making their way down the hall the aisle. and The orc gets to you all and holds the bag out and says, Majorwood in the front of the line.

Nyx's pupils kind of invert and the scales are probably still on her arm but creep a little further down her arm. Okay. We can either play this out exactly as it went before, and you can move along and leave my companions alone, or I can try and introduce the new variable of your death. Hold on, Philip. Before Nick's lost, after you you say the first part that Nick said, the orc says, doesn't seem worth the trouble, and he turns and walks back to the rest of his companions.

Mystery Deepens with the Changeling Leader

You hear a loud... to stop I want to run down i want to run out and and like lean out and look up. I want to see... Sorry, you do hear a scream shortly before they go through the doors. Sure. Of something happening further up the train.

Okay. But you do spot and see the shadow of a large winged creature fly overhead as it lands with a loud thud on the train car. And then... Winged creature? Yeah, winged creature.

What's the creature? Hippogriff. Is this a new lab thud? and after a moment, you feel the train car jostle as the hippogriff takes off. I want to watch the planks. I want to watch the everybody fly away.

Okay. Yeah, they they have ropes attached to the rigging on the hippogriff. And so they're are floating through the air being like toad. As you see couple dozen figures take off into the sky.

And you do see a figure on the hippogriff's back. i want to I want to track them with my eyes. I want to see if they, because okay it it was a matter of minutes and then they were there again. if you have some sort of time loop, there should be a reset.

Yeah. They begin to fly out towards the trees and probably just right at the moment that you begin to lose sight of them, Nix, you're back in your seat.
