Circuspreneur Podcast : youilda You're in the sexy, sexy, sexy show here Las Vegas.

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : And, you know, a part of the original cast, which is super special. And we're going to speak about your experience with that, too, because you know, your original cast member, and then you're still in the show now.

Circuspreneur Podcast : You just had like the really big anniversary with Rouge where you were celebrating like so many shows, which is really special, especially for Las Vegas, because, you know, like the show is like lasting now, like what, three years, three years, I think it's it's now.

Yasya: yeah

Yasya: Three years we have, we did 1,500 shows for two or three years.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh my God.

Yasya: I never been working that much in my life.

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Yasya: Yeah, it was intense in a short period, you know, it was like kind of like you ah you just do like so many shows, people come, you need to perform, they want to see, come on, you cannot say, you cannot say no.

Circuspreneur Podcast : It's a new record. Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah Yeah, they want to see this sexy, beautiful lady, you know? They want to see you on your pole.

Yasya: Yeah. Yes.

Circuspreneur Podcast : They want to see, you know, this beautiful choreography, all the things, all all the all the special things, yes. And I've enjoyed it many times.

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : So, you know, I can attest to that.

Yasya: um

Circuspreneur Podcast : I just keep coming back. Yeah.

Yasya: Yeah, come back, come back. We're always happy, you know. We always have to have happy people who going to clap to us because we do our best on stage, you know. So we're always going to be happy that more people coming because we want we continue to work and it looks like it's going good.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yes.

Yasya: And yeah, so it's going to be better and better, you know.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah, it only I think it only gets better and better. And, you know, speaking to the show that you're in now, you know, Rouge at this strat, Ysilda, can you tell listeners a little bit about the shows that you've been on before? Because you've been in so so many popular shows, like all over the world that are super cool and super interesting. And so I'd love to hear, you know, about the other shows that you've been in. What are some of your other favorite shows that you that you've performed in in your favorite type of show? Like,

Circuspreneur Podcast : Is it your favorite type of show to do like sexy show because your act is is very sexy and very sensual, I would say, and like elegant? Is it like your favorite style?

Yasya: you Yeah, you know you know, when we just arrived here in Las Vegas, of course, everybody was like, wow, Las Vegas, everybody wants to get to Las Vegas, you know, it's ah like the the dream of every artist, is kind of, you know, but when you arrive here, you like kind of become grounded, you get used to all the things here, because America is also different for a European people, everything is different, you know.

Yasya: it And then ah also in the same time, I need to perform topless. And for me, it's like, no, I did it. You know, come on.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: Before even like, come on, topless. Oh, I'm not this kind of artist to perform topless, you know. And I was talking about myself like, come on, topless. But after, to be honest, you know, Crazy Horse, it's a great place, you know. Like Moulin Rouge, you know, it's a great place.

Yasya: And there is people who performing topless and it's fantastic.

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Yasya: it's existing for years you know so and it's like you cannot you cannot say that performing topless is something like a little bit lower uh level of you know of the person artist so enough in the beginning it was like kind of oh i'm kind of shy you know on this and after the most at It was only one time shy.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Right.

Yasya: So when everybody we had like a general rehearsal and everybody needed to be topless, you know, and everybody did it like kind of first time, you know, and this was only one time we were shy because actually when you go in on real stage, you already don't think you you do topless, you know, you just like you do it.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah. Right.

Circuspreneur Podcast : right

Yasya: And then, like, with your intuition, you adapt, yeah you you feel, you know how to do it. Of course, in the beginning, was, like, kind of um shy because when you take off your bra, for example, you're, like, taking off. Okay, I took it off.

Yasya: Okay, I took it off. know i' do And after this time you're getting this taste of how you need to do it.

Circuspreneur Podcast : That's it, I did it. Yeah.

Yasya: yeah Because people come in and say, okay, I took it, okay. it's But after this time it it it it went a little bit better, better, better, better. And now we're like, okay, now I don't i didn't see even and i didn't see even the goal to

Circuspreneur Podcast : and yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : You don't even notice. You're like, am I topless? Oh my God, I'm already topless. Oh my God, do I have my shirt on or on? Is the act started?

Yasya: three

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Yasya: Yeah, no now I think oh my god, okay, well if I if I perform somewhere like People go are are gonna wait I think topless anyway, you know because you get used to it and you think like wow, okay, you know Especially when it's good um Direct in your act and you do it like in right place.

Circuspreneur Podcast : right

Yasya: So it looks like all together like um You know like a whole little and like whole little show, you know, so like if this is for minutes, you know, they also they dance, the dancers are amazing, you know, and they dance, they all combination of that, what they have, they act, it shows like the little theatrical scene, you know, which is, yeah, and it's ah it's not just like you take, you know, the bra, it's all connected, you know, it's all like artistically made, yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : you

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah, of course.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: I'm happy to work in a show like this.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: this there we have cool We have the whole story about that and, you know, and a different type of costumes everywhere, different epoch, you know, different times.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: So it's presented everything in the show and everything presents different time in the show, but everywhere taking off the bra.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Every opportunity week we get, we go topless.

Yasya: Yeah, because maybe in every every fork every pocket was ah the Beauty of the body is one of the person would enjoy all the time, you know Yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : That is the moral of the show.

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : So like when, so like this was your first time being topless and we'll say this, the next time maybe you'll be crazy horse topless. Maybe you'll be Moulin Rouge topless. Like now you're ready, Yisilda.

Circuspreneur Podcast : You're ready to go to all the other shows to be topless there as well. You can't go to any.

Yasya: I will be like, I'm coming from Las Vegas.

Circuspreneur Podcast : ready. Sometimes it's like, you know, it's hard. It's not easy.

Yasya: me. Give me your contracts. I'm going to sign them all. Oh

Circuspreneur Podcast : Give me the extra percent. I mean, it's just not for free.

Yasya: my God, it's true.

Circuspreneur Podcast : It always is extra, right? Wink, wink. Oh, that's

Yasya: oh my god

Circuspreneur Podcast : But like do you know the exposure and the experience and being here in Las Vegas, i mean like it's something that's also like normal coming to Las Vegas and doing like a sexy show in this kind of way. It's it's not unusual here you know for Las Vegas. it's It's really normal. But I think also too for circus, it's not something that we do a lot. People don't ask you to go topless a lot in our industry, but sometimes Cirque du Soleil, before they had sexy show here also,

Circuspreneur Podcast : Zumanity, everybody wanted to be in Zumanity.

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : They asked me to be Zumanity. I said, okay, maybe if I'm going to be that sexy, maybe for this show, okay, because it's like respectful, different, you know, this environment is, is you know, is is is good for it.

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : So I feel like, okay, like I can do that. Like you said, it's like, there's respect there.

Yasya: ah

Circuspreneur Podcast : It's elegant. It's the way that it's done. So it's like a different, it's a different space in your career.

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : And they also picked up your original act. And can you talk a little bit, Yacilda, about what is important about you having your original act for the show? Because it's a different type of act with your tissue and with your pole. And can you talk about how you created this act, this style? And not everybody, when they come to a show, they get to do their own act. Sometimes they want to change something.

Circuspreneur Podcast : They have more like artistic direction in some different way. But for you, it really is about like your your act. It's it's special.

Yasya: Yeah, okay. it It came like since I was a small like child because my parents, they're also artists, they're allusionists, you know, magicians and they do puppets.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh.

Yasya: So they kind of combine puppets with magic. So, and they had this and these tissues, like light tissue, which all the um magician people use, you know, this light tissue to cover something and then something appears.

Yasya: So this light tissue, I loved it. And I was like, oh, this is cool. i would And then, at the same time, when I was ah when i was in rhythmic gymnastics, we always been working with i items, you know, we had these ropes, ribbons, so and I kind of was... um I found we found... They found for me big tissue, so I could kind of improvise, dance, you know, and i also do, like, gymnastic trickings at the same time, and, like, we can throw and do, like... and I don't know how to say, like, some...

Yasya: I don't know how to say in any English, you know, theres some trick, for example, and then catch it.

Circuspreneur Podcast : a

Yasya: Yeah, so, and since that time, I was like, this is interesting, actually, you know, but after i was, like, doing this, so using this, like, my a recital things in gymnastics, you know, and we have recitals, so we were going out,

Yasya: And then everybody had like kind of little act from you which is not connected to sport So that I was was using i was using this tissue. I was like Combining it with in doing like kind of magic trick when I take it out from myself, you know like and then I was doing like Tricks and you know all the rhythmic gymnastics, but with this tissue

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm. Oh.

Yasya: And after already forgot about that and it passed so many times, was doing duopal dance with different girls because one girl was pregnant, the other girl was pregnant.

Yasya: And then got pregnant because everybody got pregnant. I want to also get pregnant.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah. ah Why not me?

Yasya: like come want to, you know,

Circuspreneur Podcast : Must be the poll. We don't know what it is.

Yasya: I I I burned child. I burned my baby. It's a girl, you know, and uh, And then I was thinking, starting to s think like, come on, I can't just stop my career. I need to do something. I took the girl. So I started to do pole dance together, do pole dance, but then COVID started.

Yasya: And I was like, this has never happened.

Circuspreneur Podcast : wow

Yasya: You know, you always want to continue working, but duo, that's amazing. i love it. But you need to be kind of business person like... or you know like not friends connected maybe sister you know it's easier and yeah like like most of the do it they are couples you know and

Circuspreneur Podcast : Connected. Yeah. Friendly.

Yasya: they work for many years, so you know, they, like, they build career and they build life at the same time, and it's kind of hard, of course, for me, you know, because, like, but the act that we had with the two girls, it was amazing, you know, because everybody, like, two girls, strong girls, what representing, you know, like, independency on stage, you know, like, with all these beautiful legs and blah, blah, blah, you know, and, but I was like, okay, but now I need to sing, how I need to work alone, because, know,

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: When you write a mail and you say, pull dancer, nobody gonna even open this, you know?

Circuspreneur Podcast : I'm good.

Yasya: like Pull dancer, you know? And especially when you, like, for example, write to theater, what is, like... yeah Like in Germany, you many theaters, they like, you know, classic theaters, say they like, okay, pole dancers. So I was like trying to find what kind of helped me to sell myself, how I can describe it in one word, you know, and I was like, and I went back to my memories, you know, so like what I was using. So I took this tissue and I started to improvise and think what I can do with it.

Yasya: And i was like, this is interesting, you know, at least it gives you ah something like you the person looking and they they have interest to watch you. They're not like, okay, this is it every trick we saw. This is the same pole dance service.

Yasya: we already seen this kind of you know things it's nothing special okay and then yeah i started the combining with rhythmic gymnastics and you know and it became actually ah interesting because this thing you can develop it's not it doesn't it's not only for example two tricks you can try many things you know and it it always will be interesting you know with this yeah this how it came yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : Right. Right. right

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : Well, and coming from you, i mean, like your perspective and it's not so easy. i mean, you make it sound like it's easy, but I like that you thought about, you know, what was I doing previously? And then it's sometimes it's like the innovation that you had before that's maybe like an old innovation. And then you come back and you use it and it's new you're like,

Circuspreneur Podcast : this is what's going to make me stand out. This is what's going to make me different and make me unique. And then it led to you coming to Las Vegas. It led to you coming to Rouge. I mean, like having this particular this this unique concept.

Yasya: Thank you.

Circuspreneur Podcast : So it's like what brought you to like a new level. I think it's always so challenging. Like what's going to bring me to a new level, like for my performance, what's going to make me stand out? What's going to make me more like original?

Circuspreneur Podcast : And you came from Sporia, so you had like a really long history. Can you talk about like your transition from rhythmic gymnastics and then into circus? Like, was it, was it easy for you?

Circuspreneur Podcast : Like you kind of always wanted to do this because of your performance?

Yasya: Yeah, oh my god, yeah, will tell you, so rhythmic gymnastics, like every sport, hard, you know, sometimes we had from 9 o'clock till 6 p.m., all day training before we go to Ukraine ah national, for example, you know,

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : schools

Yasya: implications You know, so it was like kind of hard of course, you know, I remember even like you did you ask, you know our coaches I had two coaches one is for for group and Like five girls ah and they have like group exer Like group and act and I was solo also

Circuspreneur Podcast : thank you

Yasya: in a rhythm but when I when they went to to the group um act, sorry, it was different woman, is she was crazy, she was like, ah, you can't drink, you to ask me when you can drink, and who was like, oh my God, really, you need to ask?

Yasya: Because when when I was doing in the other group, gymnastics, where was my real teacher, she was actually circus performer before, so she was like more normal.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Like discipline.

Yasya: you know not this like no not like not this you know not this crazy you know discipline is too much you know you need to talk about you can drink or what and this yeah my original coach she gave me like big start you know for everything like she didn't like she didn't like

Circuspreneur Podcast : no

Circuspreneur Podcast : like discipline

Yasya: ah she she She helped me, you know that I i became artist after that notto because not No many people have career in the sport later. They but You know, they they they try to find the other yourself in the other place, you know in the other art So yeah, and then i finished with gymnastic. I did master of sport finally and I was like, yes You know you know enough

Circuspreneur Podcast : I know school enough training.

Yasya: I said, I need to run. And then my mom said, okay, what you want to it do? I said, I don't know. I'll do something. then you say She said, go to Circus Academy, you know, in Kiev Circus Academy. was like, okay, what do you want to don't know.

Yasya: I don't want to sit on the split. I don't want that. I don't want to do this bendy sinks anymore. This tricks. It hurts. My body hurts. My hips hurts. Everything hurts. I'm like, I'm going to do more choreography.

Yasya: You know, so I pass exam for choreography.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh.

Yasya: I mean, but when I go inside of the college, I remember this academy. It's like Hogwarts. I tell it. I was like, oh no. way i finally i found my place you know somebody is like juggling the guy like juggling the other guy is like doing like pantomime somebody's walking and talking to yourself like you know like rehearsing like acting and somebody is like doing vocal training and you hear everything like oh my god, finally, oh my god, yeah I get to my place, you know, nobody's screaming, everybody's just about the idea, about the creation, about the developing, you know, yeah of course we have rules, you know, but these rules doesn't, like, close you, a person never oh the all the coaches, they wanted to open you, and to find, to help you to find your way, you know, the best to perform, so you can be kind of...

Circuspreneur Podcast : people

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mmm.

Yasya: a person who yeah whom who can who can show something to the world, you know. Yeah, and um so I was doing gym nice or i was doing this ah choreography and was dancing.

Yasya: Then i I went to TV casting to pass the casting for TV show, and they took me. And it was like, so you think you can dance, but Ukrainian version, you know.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Ooh.

Yasya: And I and know was like...

Circuspreneur Podcast : Ooh. I love it.

Yasya: for me was hard there was a hard moment that I need to remember all the routines and they did all this I especially use this hip-hop oh my god because I'm from beat me I like everything slow contemporary jazz it's okay for me but hip-hop Wow tapachi to

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Right. Right.

Yasya: like put the but And I'm like, you serious? Like three seconds of the routine and my mind already overloaded. You know, I don't, I cannot remember anything.

Circuspreneur Podcast : wow

Yasya: So I went, I was like struggling with myself, you know, like doing my best in this, in this show. And so, and they, they allow me to go to top 20. So I was like, I'm a lucky person.

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Yasya: They took me there. And then i had, it was like a camp, you know, camp for one month from nine o'clock to nine.

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : see

Yasya: We had like, we start from jazz after we have classic, after we have ballroom things, ballroom dancing, after we have hip hop, after we have acting, after we have psychology, even we had, you know.

Yasya: Yeah, and it was really intense. I think for one month I got to more experience, of course, and I would get anywhere else because it was just of intensity and at the same time stress, you know, and you see the kind of dancers with you.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: i'm like And I'm like new dancer, you know, I'm not with big experience people like experienced dancers, of course.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm.

Yasya: Yeah, but I was like young dancer who is like just from rhythmic gymnastics.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Amazing.

Yasya: You know, all my story is that I'm dancing. I'm from rhythmic gymnastics. I dance only one year, you know. and didn

Circuspreneur Podcast : I'm super new, even though I'm amazing.

Yasya: super new, you know, yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : just came from out of nowhere. and bet.

Yasya: Yeah, and it was so hard for me, you know. I had a

Circuspreneur Podcast : I bet.

Yasya: and so live broadcast, and then I was kicked out, of course. Because it was hard, you know. I accept that it was hard, but it was a great experience, you know. they also And also they gave me after so many and so many opportunities to work with TV, you know.

Yasya: I was invited many times for different type of group of ah like They had like concerts from so you think you can dance in TV. So I had like big events after that, you know and after that and my career i yeah started to go up I was working with yeah yeah Ukrainian famous singers, you know in front of the big big room, you know many many people inside like so yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : We got yours started.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Okay.

Yasya: yeah And then I got to the circus theater which called bingo and they have quite Yeah, and they're going to famous So she's all is the the woman you know, she's also from Academy of circus arts, you know, so she was She was like ah she was our director

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, yeah. one um

Yasya: so yeah I came and she said we have like contract in the you know, we have like So we're gonna prepare ourselves and we're gonna go do you want go?

Circuspreneur Podcast : yeah

Yasya: go to germany if you want let's work together you know so and we started to work after with germany was uh um yeah i was dancing here in the same way we were standing there but in the same time we started to do with my partner pool dance together you know yeah yeah we started actually no started like that oh my god it's so long story i don't know

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm.

Circuspreneur Podcast : I'm sure. Gingo.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, okay. That's when you started. With Gingo.

Yasya: so So started like that we come to theater we are dance blah blah blah and then becoming one woman she's so famous in pole dancing her Her name is Anastasia and she had like ah she was started she's amazing She's also like doing like some like flips on the pool on the pole, you know, so she's like kind of strong doing strong things she's doing and

Circuspreneur Podcast : Bye.

Yasya: And then she said, wow, one year? I'm not gonna go for contract for one year. You crazy? I have studio here. I have my apprentice, you know, my my students here. I'm not gonna go to one year contract. And she's like left and only what she, she left from the theater and she left the pool. I mean, the pool was empty and it was like, okay, maybe we're gonna do, you know, the pool. So I started to do the pool.

Circuspreneur Podcast : ah

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, like this, really?

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : in case you didn't want to go into the tour.

Yasya: ah Yeah, and was so hard in the beginning. It was so hard in the beginning, you know. Oh, my God. I had, like, my bruises all over body. It was, like, blue, you know.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah. Yeah. Starting from nothing, starting from scratch. Pull is hard.

Yasya: Yes, like, it's circus, circus things, you know, and to work with prop is different.

Circuspreneur Podcast : It's a man.

Yasya: yeah we I did also Lyra before and I had also like, but when you're a dancer, it's different body work, totally.

Circuspreneur Podcast : <unk>re Not very different.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm.

Yasya: Yeah, so we started to work after, we we started to get better, better, better. We went to contract and we were like increasing our level with the tricks, you know, trying to push like, so it looks harder.

Yasya: And ah we went to, does super talent in Germany, Zane, you know.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, me too.

Yasya: Yeah, it was the,

Circuspreneur Podcast : We both have super talent. I had so much fun there.

Yasya: Right? In Germany?

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah. yeah Yeah, in Germany, yeah, yeah, in Berlin, I had the Golden Buzzer. I think I was doing Winter Garden and then, and I also did Da Super Talon at the same time, like Da Super Talon in the afternoon and then Winter Garden at night.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah, yeah, it was great.

Yasya: yeah or Yeah, did is that was amazing. I just remember we were waiting full on time, so they're gonna let us out, you know. Yeah, after we did Padre Sebastian show, all no and I was watching it since I was small, and then, you know, our director said, do you want to go there?

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh my God.

Yasya: was like, oh, come on, of course I want to go there. This story.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : ah Bingo to Patrick Sebastian.

Yasya: Yeah. Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah, you were a part of bingo when you went to Patrick Sebastian.

Yasya: Yeah, no, we're doing like two hours, do a pole dance there.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, this was when you were doing your duopold dance.

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Okay, so this was after.

Yasya: Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Wow. Yeah, that's amazing.

Yasya: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was like, just because it was, ah we come we are like dancers, like, we combine it with, like, nice ah nice transitions, you know, with not just trick, you go, trick, you go.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Mm-hmm.

Yasya: So we were like, Thinking so long with this like like how to go out how to go in with this trick You know, you cannot do it. So we were like we had really nice work, you know So we did like we were thinking in every trick how we need to put it and of course it was important also because we had good music, you know and always music Yeah, music is so important when you have you know so people a you know just give all attention to you because the the music is like attractive and

Circuspreneur Podcast : or is

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah, especially for this show and this environment on TV.

Yasya: Yeah. Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : It's such a classic show. And again, so elegant and so popular. And this audience is like so unique and so like excited to see Circus. Like everybody is is is on this show.

Yasya: yeah

Circuspreneur Podcast : Everyone's like dreaming to be on that show.

Yasya: Yeah, it's not it's amazing. yeah This is like a story I remember after I went to different contracts. It was Teatro, Roncalli, we work, Apollo, GOP, you know, Europa Park, all these cool places, you know, Fantissima, Flick Flack also was amazing.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Yeah.

Circuspreneur Podcast : Oh, feels like it's always amazing.

Yasya: I love

Circuspreneur Podcast : Like this show is always cool and dope. Always.
